oh well... I mean... how about oliver x snowed in? do we manage not to punch him in the face by the end of it?
over easy 🎀 oliver aiku x f!reader
In which domesticity creeps into the all the cracks in you and Oliver's casual arrangement as you find yourself snowed in at his apartment.
1.4k — fluff, soft oliver, fwb, mentions of sex
It’s no good for your stupid, reckless heart—this predicament.
“Over easy? And two sugars in your coffee, right?” Oliver’s voice calls out from the kitchen.
It’s so fucking domestic, the way he says it.
Like you’re not just some girl he fucks into his king size mattress in the middle of the night twice a week.
Like you’re not just going on your third morning of being stranded at his apartment because your car’s buried under several feet of snow that just keeps on coming down.
Like it’s okay that your heart fumbles meekly behind the confines of your ribcage whenever he tugs you back into his bed to stay the night.
(That beats so hard it aches when he spins you around to kiss you in the doorway on your way out.)
You’re not dating.
You can’t date him.
Oliver doesn’t date.
But he’s handsome and charming and polite and funny and the sex is so good that you’ve never come so hard in your life and—
There’s no fucking Oliver out of your system unless it’s with Oliver himself.
And if you have some inconvenient feelings dangling on the sidelines, that’s your cross to bear on your own time when he’s not fucking you stupid in the backseat of his car or eating you out on his kitchen counter.
You don’t ask Oliver what he does on nights that he’s not with you. And you tell yourself it’s because it’s none of your goddamn business, not because you know his answer would probably hurt you too much to hear.
You assume, anyway.
But now it’s Christmas Eve, and you’ve lost any and all hope of digging your car out by tomorrow for your family dinner—not that you really wanted to go to that, anyway.
And Oliver’s humming a Christmas song under his breath while he makes you breakfast, while you stand in his living room wearing nothing but one of his practice jerseys while perusing his bookshelf.
It feels dangerously, terribly, awfully domestic.
And part of you thinks you’d be better off trudging across town home on foot than bearing the full weight of this walk of shame when the snow melts.
You’ve spent hours on his couch over the past few days, and he can’t seem to stop touching you. He scoots closer if you sit down too far away, places a hand on your ankle if it’s in reach, tucks your feet under his thigh. He puts his head in your lap or tugs yours down into his when you start yawning. He plays with your hair and your fingers—
And the two of you have been making your way through your favorite show, one that he’s never seen, one that you didn’t even think he would like. But it was his idea.
You even went down to his apartment building’s gym last night—something which didn’t feel strange in and of itself until Oliver kept appearing out of nowhere any time a guy tried to strike up a conversation with you, going so far as outright making out with you while you were on one of the stationary bikes.
(The two of you barely made it through the door back up in his apartment before he was fucking you right there on the floor in the entryway.)
And you’ve yet to examine the feeling that stirred in your gut when you found oat milk in his fridge, knowing full well he doesn’t drink it.
“Oh yeah, almost forgot to tell you. That’s for you, I picked it up the other day. I know you hate using regular milk in your coffee.”
—and the bag of mini dark chocolate bars you spotted in his cabinet last night.
“Yeah, yeah, you were right. Dark chocolate’s better.”
—and the brand-new, full-size bottle of your body wash that was staring you in the face when the two of you climbed into his shower the first morning, a mirror to the tiny travel bottle that you’ve taken to keeping in your purse for accidental sleepovers.
“It doesn’t make sense for you to have to carry soap around in your purse—”
You hadn’t even realized he knew you did that.
And yet now, as your eyes stray to the Christmas tree that sits in the corner of his living room between two large windows that overlook the city below, it’s the sight beneath it that promises to be your undoing.
Nestled between several gifts addressed to his parents and sisters is a box wrapped in gold paper with a blue bow on it. Your name is written carefully in his handwriting on the white tag stuck to the top of it.
Your heart catches in your throat.
—and oh god you’re going to kick his ass if it’s some stupidly expensive piece of jewelry that he probably didn’t even pick out himself in there, one that’ll make you feel like you’re his even if you’re really not.
And you didn’t even get him anything because this is fucking casual—
“Wanna open it now?” You jump as Oliver’s voice comes up beside you, his chest against your back while he rests his chin on your shoulder.
“It’s not Christmas yet,” you stall, your noses brushing when you turn to look at him, but he spins you back toward the tree.
“Yeah, I’m too impatient though,” he sighs, his breath hot against the shell of your ear as he reaches past you, arms hugging your sides while he places the package in your hands.
It’s oblong and light.
You’re glad, if nothing else, that he’s not directly facing you to see your uneasy facial expression. Slowly, with the tip of your finger, you begin to peel back the wrapping paper.
White bristles and bright green plastic greet you beneath it.
A toothbrush.
“Be my girlfriend,” Oliver whispers, nose brushing against your cheek.
You choke out a laugh as your heart swoops. “You got me a toothbrush?”
Girlfriend.
“You would have thought jewelry was a tacky way to ask,” he hums, kissing the corner of your mouth.
You tilt your face into the kiss, murmuring against his mouth, “I didn’t get you anything.”
You almost did.
Several times, actually.
But nothing screams casual hookup gone rogue like a fucking Christmas present—and that was the last thing you wanted him to think.
And yet—
Oliver shrugs, spinning you around and cupping your face, the toothbrush still clutched in your hands. “You’re my gift.”
There’s no hiding the ridiculous smile that creeps across your face as he kisses you, tugging you with him as he walks backward into the couch, pulling you into his lap.
His lips are warm and soft as his mouth engulfs yours, kissing you in a way that you know now is far too familiar to be casual. Far too easy and gentle and intimate as he cups the back of your head and feathers a thumb against your hip bone and nips your bottom lip and laughs and—
He stops kissing you and looks at you seriously. “Oh, I also got you that dough mixer you kept looking at videos of when we were laying in bed that one night, but it’s going to be late because of the storm. I don’t want you to think I actually only got you a toothbrush.”
You blink at him.
“Oliver!”
He grins. “What?”
“I’m leaving right now to get you a gift,” you grouse, trying to hop out of his lap.
The room spins as he lifts you up, and you find yourself caged in beneath him on the couch.
“We’re snowed in,” he says, matter-of-factly.
“I’ll walk,” you frown.
“Nope,” he counters, hands sliding to pin your wrists above your head. “I’ve got the perfect gift already. Have you met my girlfriend yet?”
He reaches down into his pocket to pull out his phone, and you’re met with a photo of you laughing that you hadn’t even realized he took.
And it’s his wallpaper, for fuck’s sake.
Girlfriend.
“She’s beautiful,” he murmurs as he puts down his phone and cups your face, lips brushing against yours. “And smart.” Kiss. “And funny.” Kiss. “And—”
“I didn’t say yes.”
Oliver stills, blinking several times as he looks down at you with a serious expression.
You roll your eyes as you thread your fingers in his hair and tug his mouth back down against yours.
“Yes.”
A pleased sound of satisfaction rumbles in his throat as his mouth skirts away from your lips, leaving a chaotic, hot, messy trail of kisses across your face, down your neck, across your collarbone—
The smoke alarm goes off somewhere in the kitchen.

k.seungmin x fem! reader
navidad sin ti
summary: who knew a holiday could tear you both apart, leaving one of you the most broken.
content: angst, no happy ending
semi proof read (as always)
word count: 2.0k
inspired by: marco antonio solis’s navidad sin ti
a/n: intended hispanic reader but you can read it either way, I think it’s ass.. but wtv
Seungmin hated the holidays, he always did. Who cares about lights, and trees and the smell of freshly baked cookies. not him
but you, you loved Christmas. You grew up loving Christmas for all its joy of spending it with loved one. that was one of the few things you looked forward to during the holiday season. las posadas, el ponche, los tamales.. you loved it all
though you haven’t been able to enjoy your favorite holiday because of seungmin’s bad attitude, you tried and tried to lift his spirits up by showing him Christmas cheer and the meaning of it.
he couldn’t get it wrapped around his brain, what was so special about Christmas?
your first Christmas with seungmin wasn’t…well it was disappointing.
you thought he just played the “I don’t like Christmas act” real good but when you both celebrated Christmas together for the first time.. you saw that he really didn’t like Christmas. you did your best with the lights and the tree decorating by yourself, as well as buying him gifts.
maybe he’d understand the gift giving part, I mean he gifts you for your birthday.. relatively okay..
Christmas Day comes around and you’re excited for the day, you usually spend it with your family and participate in posadas but seungmin was against the idea and he was far from so… you stayed home with him on Christmas Eve.. enjoyed a dinner you made and watched Elf.
you both went to sleep around 10:22 pm, it was early for you considering the fact that you stay awake until midnight to give the “abrazo de navidad” but no.. seungmin fell asleep. So you went to bed
it bugged you but you pushed through it. Morning came along, 8:13 am. You got up and went to prepare breakfast, put another Christmas movie on and turned the Christmas lights back on, your spirit was good and were excited to give your gifts to seungmin, spent your hard earned money to make him feel special and show him how much you appreciate him.
He hadn’t woken up until 9:00 am exactly, grumpy and groggily
“mm ugh y/n turn that down” he said annoyed, “you looked at him and grabbed the remote quickly, turning it down to volume 13. “sorry, I didn’t think it was that loud”
he looked at you, and then looked around the living room. again lit up by those damn lights, and ugh that stupid kid who is always left alone is back in the screen.
“y/n I thought Christmas Eve was your Christmas Day” “well technically yeah but you fell asleep before 12 so we have to celebrate it today as well.. I mean it is Christmas” you said while putting the last gift under the tree getting up and going towards him, smiling softly and going to kiss him on the cheek. “Merry Christmas baby”
he groans softly and looks at you, he hated to admit but he loves when you kiss him, he smiled softly at you
“so do you wanna have breakfast first or open presents?” You smile at him
he groaned again
“eat, I wanna eat” You quickly put the already served breakfast plate on the table, “enjoy cutie” you said
he sat down and began to eat, taking his time eating and drinking his orange juice. You were getting impatient and wanting to hurry up so he can open his gifts.
after 30 long minutes he finally finished. Looking at you with a small smirk
“okay done? okay cmon let’s go by the tree i have things i wanna give you”
“ughh y/n please you don’t need to do that, seriously I don’t want any” that’s because from all the hating of Christmas he was doing he completely forgot to buy you gifts, only got you three gifts and they were things you didn’t even want or needed. Worse they weren’t wrapped or put in bags
“no cmon min, i wanna give my gifts to you” you said with a smile, making him sit down on the couch as you go towards the tree and reach for a couple of gifts for him to start off
“Open all of mine first okay?” The guilt started to get to him. Just the forgetting to get you gifts part, not the hating Christmas… he thought
“oh.. alright then” he said, you handed him the first wrapped gift, all nicely wrapped with a pretty metallic bow on top. The sticker saying ‘to min min from y/n :)’
he carefully unwrapped it, opening the box and seeing it was the sweater he’s been eyeing since thanksgiving.
“oh wow.. I- thank you babe..” he said with a hint of guilt
“It’s not problem” you smiled at him.
after that gift came another one and another and another and another. until he was all done with his gifts. All the things he loved and wished for
it was his turn…
you sat there smiley, waiting for him to bring you your gifts.
once he came back to the living room, he a bit shamefully handed you the items he bought you.. unwrapped or put in a gift bag
“oh…”
looking at your gifts, a rather distasteful cardigan. a pair of fluffy socks, and chocolates…
“uh… thank you baby.. i love it” you said with a weak smile
you wanted to be grateful he got you anything at all but.. it just stung when this was all he could come up with.
you smiled weakly and looked at the items, nodding and standing up to give him a quick hug.
you felt the spirits get crushed, not only did your boyfriend hate your favorite holiday but he made zero effort to show interest in something you loved no matter how much he hated it.
a year later and again the holidays were coming up. All was good not during the holidays but once Black Friday ends, it’s like a switch that turns on with seungmin
it pains you that it got to the point where it made you rethink about how you felt about seungmin. You love him you really truly do but it’s getting to the point where you can’t even mention Christmas or anything without him getting annoyed and storming out
12 days before Christmas and you finally decided the hard choice to break things off. You didn’t want it to come to this. God it was so stupid to break up over something like this but to you it meant a lot and he just couldn’t see it. He can never see it.
you chickened out and wrote him a letter instead
Seungmin, i know you’ll hate me for this and you’ll hate me even more for doing it this way. Though i want you to know how much i really do love you. More then anything, how id do anything for you… it’s just during the holidays, they’re special to me and you know how sensitive i am when it comes to Christmas. you never show any interest, even if you hate it. A slight bit of interest is all i ask for but you always refuse to give it to me. It genuinely hurts me when you act this way towards me. so what im saying is, our relationship cannot go from here. I don’t want to but it’s best for me and you for us to end it. You can live better without me bugging you about the small things I love, especially christmas.
He came home from work early, he was dreading coming home knowing 12 days before Christmas you started to decorate the apartment with lights and the tree and all that jolly shit
he opened the door, waiting to be hit with the colorful bright lights being hung up by you. When he opened the door to see dark. Pure darkness, quiet and cold.
he called out your name, no answer
he turned on the lights to look around, headed towards the bedroom, when he walked in to see it empty. Your stuff..? Where is it?
he say a note on the bed, he grabbed it and the crinkling of the paper being unfolded being the only sound in the house.
He read the letter, his throat feeling tight, stomach dropping and his heart breaking.
he wasn’t sure what to feel.. god he felt so stupid that he pushed you away with his attitude.. not only in general but especially during the most special time of the year for you.
he lost you… forever.
11 days before Christmas
he wasn’t sure what to do, especially not without you around him. You usually hang up lights around the place first. while watching your favorite Christmas movie
it hasn’t hit him that you are really gone
6 days before Christmas
the days are getting closer to Christmas and he’s “happy” that he doesn’t have to deal with that shit anymore. but all of that shit was because of you.
3 days before Christmas
he decided to maybe go for a walk.. in freezing snowy weather. His feet led him to your neighborhood.. seeing lights, families and kids running around. The sound of posadas, or mexican christmas caroling you explained to him. He didn’t realize he joined a posada, hearing them sing and laugh. Letting everyone in, including seungmin. Being offered your favorite holiday drink… ponche. He remembers the first time he tried it with you
“cmon just a sip min” you smiled, he reluctantly took the sip. Pretending to hate it but eventually had like five cupfuls of ponche by the end of the night.
he didn’t expect to see you but he was hoping he would.
1 day before Christmas
the apartment was dark, and cold… no joy, no Christmas cheer, and no one for him to be near.
his first Christmas without you
he couldn’t bear it.. but this was his fault. if only he tired a little harder to make you feel happy. If only he tried to be the best for you.. when all you did was make him happy even if he didn’t show it. He regrets not showing it.
A year has passed and the holidays are approaching; once again he has to celebrate your favorite holiday, by himself.. regretting everything that lead him to lose you.
he sees your ghost walking around his apartment, hanging up lights, decorating the tree, baking cookies, as well as making your favorite cultural comfort food.
he didn’t realize he started to cry.
“seungmin.. you did this to yourself” he said to himself. As he wallows in self pity… the darkness of the living room consuming him. His light was you, and he let that light get blown away.
the loneliness eating him alive, he wishes you were here with him… with him to celebrate Christmas..
he finishes putting the last ornament on the little Charlie Brown tree he bought. looking at the poorly put on lights, and the messy organization of the different colored ornaments he places around the small tree
he looks at it, the tree being the only source of light in his apartment.
He thinks about you often.. wondering what you’re up to, if you’ve moved on, if you still love Christmas, hoping he didn’t ruin it for you.
“Another Christmas without you y/n”
he sits there, looking at the tree once again.
sitting here in the loneliness, wishing you were here. I don’t know where you are but I’m hoping you’re happy.
I keep remembering the day I lost you
again christmas comes, and here I am without you.
I look at myself in the mirror, my pale skin, baggy eyes, as the holidays approach once again.
Sitting here, holding the gift you always wanted… now I look over at the picture of us sitting nicely on my coffee table… us happy and in love, forcing me to take that picture by the big Christmas tree.. even though I was at my happiest right there..
I lost that… I lost you..
the agony the holidays bring me, I never had a reason to hate it but… now.. now I do..
christmas comes and here I am, alone and without you. keep replaying the day I lost you.
I want nothing but the best for you
merry Christmas y/n…

My entry for the @pickled-pena challenge!
Summary: You meet Javier Peña on a New Years Eve party. A year later you're still together, making plans for the future.
Pairing: Javier Peña x fem. reader
Wordcount: 1.3k
Rating: M
Warnings: falling in love, fluff, pregnancy, dumb puns, kissing, suggestive language, awful lot talk of pickles

A new year always seemed to come with expectations. You never really understood why everyone was expected to celebrate the changing of the years. Why everyone expected everyone to be in a good mood and wanting to celebrate the changing of years.
All New Years eve to you was, was your parents now not needing an excuse to get drunk and party when you were growing up. They were young when you were born. Just out of high school. And they tried, at least in the beginning from what you could remember.
You did not like New Years eve, and you hated new years resolutions. They never worked for you you, so you didn’t bother. And you did not celebrate New Years.
That was until last year when your best friend dragged you to a house party, making you wear a dress you didn’t like but according to her making you look like a dream.
You never really went out, too busy with work and spending time in bed reading.
But his night, maybe after a couple of drinks you made a vow to yourself (not a resolution mind you) to be more open, to get out more, to maybe even find love.
That it would happen on the same night was not something you could have ever imagined.
You and Javier met twenty minutes after midnight.
He invited you for a free drink after saving you from the drunkest man you had ever encountered with the most stupid pick up line ever. You thought he was just being nice to you. It would take almost three weeks for you to figure out that he was genuinely interested in you.
You were more or less inseparable ever since.
It was a whirlwind, falling in love with Javier Peña.
He was still fighting his own demons, having spent years in the drug war in Columbia you only read about in the newspapers about. He had moved to Portland, Texas to be close to his father, but also have a new start where nobody knew him.
He told you almost everything about his time with the DEA, wanting you to know what kind of person he was, his mind made up about not deserving something good, something to love, to be loved.
It took some time to make him understand that you were in this for the long haul.
Something that came even more apparent when you found out your were pregnant just five months after making things official with him.
It’s how you found yourself six months pregnant on a ranch in Laredo, Texas on New Years eve. Javier’s father had invited you both to spend the holidays with him, wanting to get to know you, and while you were hesitant at first because of your past with your family, you quickly found yourself wondering if this was what the future would look like.
Lazy Christmas mornings spend with Javier in bed before you made breakfast. Chucho insisting on making the whole Christmas dinner, shooing you out of the kitchen everytime you even intended to help.
Presents wrapped under the Christmas tree.
It was like a dream.
Javier was out to help his father take care of the animals while you were preparing some potato salad for lunch. You were looking for the glass of pickles (well one of them, you had to have at least four different sorts in the house all the time because you had been craving different kinds) when the door opened behind you. Looking over your shoulder you saw Javier walk in, brushing his hands over his jeans, wearing a Cowboy hat on his head, before he gave you a small smile.
„Whatcha up to baby?“ He asked, walking over to you.
„Searching for the glass of pickles I need for the salad,“ you hummed, still on your tiptoes as you looked inside the fridge.
„Any specific kind?“ He asked. You felt his hand on your back and sighed.
„The ones with the red label on the jar?“ You said, still looking. They had a shitload of Garlic in them and you were craving garlic pickles. For the salad of course. Just for the salad.
He hummed, pushing the fridge closed and you pouted and turned around, finding him smiling down at you.
„If I remember correctly you ate the rest of those last night,“ he hummed, wrapping his arms around you.
You widened your eyes.
„I did not,“ you hissed.
„Did so. Found the whole jar empty this morning, next to an almost empty bottle of whipped cream,“ he nodded, trying to lean in to kiss you but you narrowed your eyes, bringing one of your hands up, your finger tipping pointing against his chest.
"You stand there and accuse me, but where were you at the time?“ You asked and he huffed, still smiling. He leaned in, his lips at your ear.
„I was trying to get some sleep after you jumped me and made me made you cum four times,“ he whispered and your lips parted in mock shock, releasing a shaky breath.
„I made you? If I remember correctly you were very much into it, Mr. Peña,“ you teased and he shrugged.
„Never said I wasn’t,“ he finally kissed you and you hummed against his lips.
„Where’s your dad?“ You asked against his lips.
„Going to the store to get you your pickles,“ he grinned and you laughed.
„So that means… We have an empty house to ourselves for what? An hour?“ You asked.
„He’s gonna visit his brother too, so more like three hours,“ he nodded.
„Hmm…“ you hummed, bringing our arms up, your hands crossing behind his neck.
„Mhhh…“ he hummed back, his lips slowly wandering down your jaw.
„What… ever will we do with all that time?“ You asked innocently. He grinned at you, slowly turning you and walking you towards his bedroom, his lips on yours.
„Wanna check how often I can hide my pickle inside of you?“ he asked and you both started laughing seconds after.
„You did not just say that,“ you giggled, shaking your head.
„Yeah I can not believe I just said that either,“ he shook his head, helping you sit down on the bed when you made it to the bedroom.
You let yourself fall back, sliding into the middle of the mattress, looking up at him.
„Only you could say something this stupid and still have me dripping for you,“ you sighed, parting your legs. Hungry eyes followed your every move, your fingers as the slowly pulled on the dress you were wearing, revealing more and more of your skin to his eyes.
„Yeah?“ He asked, his voice dark.
You let your eyes wander the length of his body, his shirt halfway unbuttoned, his cock already hard inside his jeans. Still wearing that cowboy hat.
„Wanna eat my pussy?“ You grinned and he groaned.
„Fuck yeah.“
It was in the early morning hours of the new year that you found yourself in front of the fireplace next to the Christmas tree, laying with your back against Javier’s chest.
His father had gone to sleep shortly after midnight, leaving the two of you alone.
„Any resolutions for the new year?“ You asked him, his hand slowly rubbing over your growing stomach.
„Many,“ he said, his lips close to your ear.
„Me too,“ you nodded.
„Wanna share?“ He asked. You shook your head no.
„Don’t wanna jinx it,“ you said and he sighed.
„Yeah, me neither.“
„Got one I wanna share though,“ you hummed, a smile playing on your lips.
„Yeah?“
„Gonna love you even more this year than I did last year,“ you whispered, feeling his arms tightening around you.
Still love you more,“ he hummed and kissed you neck.

*ੈ🌩️‧₊˚— through the storm, there’s always you + katsuki bakugou.
૮˶ᵕ ༝ᵕ˶ა synopsis — the one in which katsuki bakugou hates the winter, until you bring him a gift that changes his mind for the better.
⭑ warnings — please read + mdni ! characters aged up, fluff, strangers to lovers, mentions of injury, mentions of hospitals, pregnancy & birth ( non - descriptive ), winter babies, wholesome family content, not beta read ! - fem!reader, pro-hero!bakugou.
⭑ words — 1.8K.
⭑ notes — hi !!! merry christmas if you celebrate and happy holidays to those who don’t !! i hope you’re all keeping well and safe. here’s a little drabble for your troubles since i’m working on something longer that’ll hopefully be out in the new year !! so this isn’t beta read and i hope you enjoy !! mwah - m.list ✩
katsuki had always hated the weather around christmas time.
as a kid it meant being stuffed into itchy, scratchy sweaters that matched with stupid deku’s and being forced into what seemed like hours of pointless christmas card photo shoots tucked in next to the green haired, green eyed wimp. it meant mitsuki dragging him out of the comfort of his all night sheets early on December 25th to swap presents— her loud, irritating voice booming out Christmas carols with the words sung wrong as his pops set up a hearty breakfast and plucked wrapping paper from between the spikes of a young bakugou’s blonde hair.
back then, mitsuki would pull the cruel joke of putting coal in the younger’s stocking for a laugh and in response katsuki would hide all of her hurts to make it look like she had none.
in middle school, katsuki spent most of his winter break running over school choices— learning the curriculum inside and out so that he could get into U.A. friends, family gatherings, festive…none of them mattered to him as much as his aspirations did, but he still helped masaru decorate the house and put up the tree— lit the fire because he didn’t run as hot as other people during the colder season. he hardly saw his friends, his posse, his entourage, whatever they were. they didn’t understand what it was like to work for something, to want to succeed…to make sacrifices. these were people katsuki didn’t need.
when christmas roll around at UA, katsuki felt like he was really part of something for the first time. his friends, kirishima and kaminari especially, begged him to cook the dinner— getting permission from aizawa after school to buy the ingredients, clinging onto his arms to keep him warm while asking him what went in what, affectionately pissing him off.
there’d been a gift exchange too, and he’d tried to brush it off when his group of little misfits had presented him with a few exclusive allmight merchandise that hadn’t been collectible since he was a kid. ‘thanks,’ he’d mumbled, brushing an arm over his eyes in away that covered up the tears brewing in them. ‘idiots.’ aside from the celebrations and the small twinkle of happiness being surrounded by his classmates brought him— winter still sucked for bakugou. he’d discovered his quirk didn’t quite work the same, that he’d need to train a hundred times harder to be just as efficient as his peers during the flu season if he were to succeed and become a top hero like he’d promised himself as a kid. his hero costume required form fitting sleeves and a collar up to his neck that made him think back to that time where that villain had almost ended his life and he wasn’t quite strong enough to escape its reach.
bakugou fucking hated the winter because of it.
the Christmas season starts to become even more intolerable once katsuki breaks onto the scene as rookie pro hero dynamight. he gets stuck with all the bullshit patrols like the Black Friday sales and Christmas eve last minute rushes for gifts because he’s not quite high enough on the ranks for the ‘real’ work yet. it’s fine, the blonde tells himself, anythin’ to get higher up in the ranks. spreading the holiday spirit isn’t exactly his forte but the singles without families to go home to for the festives seemingly love spotting the desirable and explosive hero stalking the city streets, and it does wonders for his reputation too.
after bakugou’s first year as a rookie, do things pick up. he gets his first villain attack on december 24th, a simple robbery that he gets to handle all on his own— the prick’s quirk is fast moving, strong and nearly wipes the blonde out in one clear shot, sending him flying into the nearest building while other rookies evacuate the scene.
“m-mister…uh, dynamight? a-are you okay?”
your voice had been soft, your face the first thing he had scene when his vision realigned. blood trickled down the roundness if your cheeks, features aglow from the fires his quirk had set to your building— your humble little tailoring shop that he’d noticed was usually buzzing with customers on patrol. “i uh— you hit your head pretty hard sir a-and there’s a villain outside— i don’t think you can fight it like this—“ you’d tried to explain in a hurry, the situation now obvious as bakugou’s head lay in your lap.
groaning, he’d wanted to pull away from you get back up and take the damn villain down but before he could even move it’s quirk had sent another blast in the direction of your precious shop. one minute, bakugou’s life is flashing before his eyes and the next an invisible shield flies up in front of you both, protecting you from whatever impact had been coming. “‘m goin’ back out there,” bakugou told you sternly, gathering himself back up. there was no way a civilian should be doing his job, he should be protecting you, not the other way around. “stay fuckin’ put, till i get back. then we’re goin’ to a hospital.”
turns out, you were great at following orders, by the time bakugou had taken out the perpetrator— you were more than willing to go with him to the hospital to get your injuries checked out. he stayed with you the entire time, he owed it to you at least. you’d saved his life, and sacrificed your shop but uttered not a word of complaint in response. and in the winter days that followed the incident, he visited and brought flowers and sat with you— learning about you, learning to love you right into the new year.
bakugou’s spirits towards winter and Christmas had certainly changed since then. well into his thirties with achy joints, silvering hair and a stomach that’s a little less toned than it used to be— dynamight sits perched on the highest of buildings, a com mic pressed into his slightly muted ear. “ai’ght fuckers, let’s get this over with. the wife’s given me only a couple hours b’fore she can’t hold on any longer.” he grunts to his fellow heroes, ready to take down their annual Christmas robbery.
it couldn’t have come at a worse time, katsuki promising you that he wouldn’t be working on the holiday for the sake of your kids— who needed their father just one day out of the year. you’d wrapped him up extra tight, a homemade scarf you’d worked on in the last few months slipped softly around his neck as you scolded him for taking up over time when he should have been with you, with his family.
“you got it kacchan,” izuku chuckles from his end of the line— positioned some ways away, his eyes also on the target. “operation kacchan’s home for Christmas is a go.”
“agreed. i do not like it when mrs.bakugou is angry.” todoroki chimes in plainly, also accompanying the childhood duo on their mission.
“then keep yer eyes on the fuckin’ target— the sooner we can get my ass home t’what really matters this Christmas!” the blonde scolds his long time friends, rolling eyes eyes fondly as he sets his eyes on the target who‘d ripped him away from his family.
“daddy! you’re late!”
katsuki’s oldest just barely looks up from her phone— a gift from last year— as he rushes into the hospital waiting room still decked out in his ashy hero gear. kayako bakugou still accepts the kiss to her forehead from her father and the ruffle to her blonde curls once he’s close enough. she has his hair, the colour of his eyes but the shape of her features are undoubtedly yours— the perfect blend of two people completely and utterly in love.
his vermilion gaze shoots to his son, kuzki— a quiet little boy who’s not quite like the rest of the bakugou bunch but equally as loving and as precious to dynamight himself. “sorry ya guys have to be here on Christmas Day, s’late too,” the man pinches his kid’s cheek, kazuki squirming happily, albeit a bit sleepy. “we can open presents later, after i see momma.”
“s’okay papa! nana mitsuki got us candy!” he squeals, the eldest bakugou hiding her nose in her magazine at her mention.
“ma!”
“what?” she huffs back, nodding her head towards the door. “you don’t have time to have a go at me, katsuki. your wife is waiting for you.”
both of the bakugou kids get a smooch on their foreheads, and mitsuki the middle finger ( discreetly and in his head because he won’t risk getting his ass kicked by his own mother in front of his offspring ). he stalks his way into your private hospital room, keeping his clunky steps unusually quiet as he spots you resting in your bed.
“you’re lucky, she just fed and was about to go down for a nap, but it seems like she was waiting for a certain someone.” you coo but you’re not looking at your husband, instead at the tiny bundle of joy wriggling about in her swaddle, laying in your arms.
the elder blonde approaches the two of you, curling an arm immediately— soothed by your warmth which sends the chill of winter straight out of him. “she?” bakugou questions, too tentatively for a man with such a misshapen and rough exterior. you pass the little baby girl off to him, letting him take in the scent of baby powder and fresh linen. “god, she’s pretty. just like her momma, huh?”
“think that’s all you, kats, you know these bakugou genes wait for no one,” you breathe your words out in exhaustion, but a smile stays strong in your face like the blistering winds outside. “thirteen hours of labour and she still couldn’t wait for daddy.”
“‘m sorry i couldn’t be there, stupid fuckin’—“ the baby stirs in his hold, growing fussy as if she already knows the signature forbidden word of the bakugou household. “stupid freakin’ deku held us up at the mission ‘n i tried my best t’get here..” bakugou loses his words, staring at his his newborn princess with so much love in the world— she’s tiny in his arms, gargling sleepily as he bounces her, standing to walk the room with his new little girl and showing her the snowfall.
the three of you are entranced by the first glimmer of the crystalline weather— the room swimming with a contrasting warmth that katsuki can bear to stand because it’s not a frosted winter. it’s a perfect love. his own oasis away from the cold. “s’okay kats, she just wanted to be the best christmas gift you could have asked for,” you murmur. “our perfect little christmas gift.”
katsuki bakugou hums in agreement, watching eyes the colour of your own but the shape of his flutter with tiredness for the first time being out in the new world. and now with his little treasure, his darling daughter and absolute labour of love— katsuki bakugou is able to state his reason for finally finding appreciation for winter after all this time.
“merry christmas, princess.” he says to her wistfully. “and to you too, m’love.”
“merry christmas, kats.” you whisper back, your voice to him like a call through the storm.

“You’ll be okay,” James said, squeezing your hand.
“Oh, they’ll love you, Y/N,” Sirius said, bouncing excitedly on the balls of his feet. “I mean, they love me, so how could they not like you?”
“We really should’ve stopped him from drinking so many cups of coffee,” you whispered to James as Sirius ran ahead. James laughed.
“This is just how he gets every time he comes home,” James said, his breath fogging in front of him as he chuckled. “It’s just up here a little farther.” He pointed to a large brick house just up the road. It was beautiful, really. Big uniform windows with white shutters all had wreaths and green tinsel lining them. The wall lining the property was decorated with glowing Christmas lights strung across the entire perimeter. It looked like a house straight out of a muggle Christmas movie.
The three of you had stopped in town after arriving via train from Kings Cross. You hated traveling by floo powder and Sirius really wanted to ride on a muggle train, so James arranged for the three of you to take one up from London. While there, you made James go with you to find a present to thank his parents for letting you stay for the holiday. If it hadn’t been such a last minute decision, you would’ve gone to Hogsmeade, but now you were stuck with the set of candles you bought from a local shop.
“James,” you whispered as Sirius got to the gate in front of the house, swinging it open and rushing to the door. James recognized your tone and stopped walking. “I can’t.” Your heart was pounding so hard in your chest you could barely think, only feeling the intense fear that only grew as you approached the gate.
He reached out and places his hands on your upper arms, rubbing up and down to create minimal heat in the fridge temperatures.
“Oh, darling,” he said, seeing the look of utter dread on your face. “It’s going to be alright, you're going to be alright.” Your breathing picked up and your hands holding the wrapped box began to shake. “Hey, hey, hey,” he said, reaching up to cup your face.
“Sirius! Come in, darling,” you heard the voice of a woman carry across the empty yard of the house and over the short wall you were in front of. You let out a choked sob as your fears intensified. James looked over to his mum who was standing in the door watching the two of you. He gave her a small nod and she understood, shutting the door.
“You talk the same,” you said, still shaking and breathing heavily, but laughing lightly. You were trying to find anything to distract yourself. “I guess that’s why you say ‘darling’ so much.” James chuckled, his gloved hands still on your face. Tears were forming in your eyes, but at least you were smiling.
“We can walk around more if you’d like?” James offered, tucking a free piece of hair behind your ear. “No rush.” You shook your head.
“Just need a minute.” You leaned into his touch, trying to focus your breathing back. James took deep breaths with you, his shoulders moving up and down dramatically as he did so.
“Tell me the schedule again?” you asked, closing your eyes.
“Tonight we’ll have dinner- I think I can smell it already- and then us and Sirius can do whatever we want,” James said, moving his hands down again to create friction on your arms. “Then tomorrow, Peter, Remus, Lily, and Marlene are coming over for Christmas Eve. We’ll go into town, have lunch, and then come back home for dinner with mum and dad again. And on Christmas, we’ll have breakfast and open presents, of course, and then the rest of the day we have to ourselves.” You smiled, eyes still closed but breathing now steady.
James pressed a kiss to your cheek and you grinned wider, opening your eyes to see his own boyish grin.
“We can take that walk still,” he offered, squeezing your shoulder.
“No,” you said, still a little shaky. “I’m ready.” He smiled, taking your hand again and rubbing small circles on the back of your hand with his thumb.
As soon as you got relatively close to the door, it swung open, Euphemia Potter standing in the doorway.
“Hello! Goodness, Jamie, your girlfriend is going to freeze!” she chittered off, wiping her hands on the apron she was wearing. “Y/N, dear, it’s lovely to meet you finally.” You smiled shyly, squeezing James’ hand harder as you began making your way up the front steps. Euphemia smiled brightly at you- her smile alone almost putting you at ease.
“It’s lovely to-“ You were cut off by a crash in the kitchen.
“Monty! What did I say about picking up the pans before they cool!” Euphemia shouted, turning and rushing back into the house. It was more of a scolding than a shout, like how a mother would instruct her child as opposed to a lovers quarrel.
James turned to you to gauge your reaction, but all you could do was laugh. You made your way inside, taking off your shoes and jacket. Stepping into the house warmed you up almost immediately to the point where your cheeks flushed from the sudden temperature change.
“We’re in here, darlings!” Euphemia yelled from further inside the house. You smiled cheekily at James, grabbing his hand as he led you to the kitchen.
Sirius was already there, sneaking food off what appeared to be a plate of decorated cookies. Euphemia was at the sink with an older man, Fleamont Potter, cleaning off a fresh burn on his hand.
“Ah, you must be Y/N!” Monty said, smiling widely at the girl. He had James’ smile. “I’ve heard a lot about you!” You squeezed James’ hand tightly before responding.
“It’s lovely to meet you,” you said quietly. You were still so nervous about saying the wrong thing.
“James just never seems to shut up about you!” Monty continued as his wife remained cleaning up his hand. “His letter go on and on-“
“Dad!” James cut him off, blushing a deep shade of scarlet. You couldn’t help but laugh, bringing a hand to cover your mouth. “Don’t laugh at me!” James said, laughing too as he poked your side. “It’s not my fault you’re so intoxicating I can’t help but think of you at all times.” You and Sirius both pretended to gag at the same time, causing James and his parents to laugh. You suddenly remember the colorfully wrap box in your hands.
“Oh, uhm, James and I- we picked you up a present in town,” you said, stumbling over your words. James grabbed your hand again, running his thumb over your knuckles. “As a thank you, for letting me stay.”
“Oh, how lovely, you’re welcome any time, sweetheart,” Euphemia said, finally dropping Monty’s hand. She came over to you and took the present out of your hands. “Monty, dear, would you put this under the tree?” Monty nodded, quickly rushing off.
“James, dearie, could you take the potatoes out of the oven,” Euphemia asked, going back to tending to the dinner she was preparing now that she was done with Monty’s burn. “Oh, Y/N, sit, darling, relax.”
You complied, finding a spot next to Sirius- who was still sneaking cookies- and watching as James began helping his mother cook.
“He is really crazy about you, y’know,” Sirius said, wiping frosting and crumbs off of his face. You stared at him, deadpan. He was messing with you, you assumed. “I’m serious!”
“No, I’m Sirius,” you mocked his usual line.
“Ha-ha,” he said, rolling his eyes. “But, like actually, when you started dating, he would not talk about anything else- ever! He was totally mad.” You blushed, squeezing your hands in your lap.
“Sirius, would you set the table for me, dear?” Euphemia asked, taking her final dish out of the oven.
“What happened to relaxing?” he groaned, dragging himself out of his seat nonetheless. Euphemia tutted.
“I told Y/N to relax,” she said, shaking her head amusedly. “You decided to relax and eat all the Christmas cookies I made for your friends tomorrow!”
“Oh, you love me, Ef,” Sirius said, beginning to pass out plates.
“Here, I’ll help,” you said, grabbing a handful of silverware.
“No, no, darling, sit down,” Euphemia insisted.
“Really, it’s fine,” you said, blushing.
“James, tell your girlfriend that she is our guest and we insist she not do any chores while she’s staying here,” she said, turning to her son. James started towards you, a big grin plastered on his face.
“No, James, it’s really-“ he cut you off with a small kiss, taking your moment of distraction to pry the forks you were holding out of your hand.
“You heard the woman,” he said, pushing on your shoulders and forcing you back into your seat. You bit your tongue to keep yourself from laughing as you glared up at James. “Aw, don’t give me that look,” he grumbled sarcastically, kissing your nose before returning to the kitchen with his mother.
The dinner was out soon enough, and you were sat next to James with Euphemia on your right at the head of the table, Monty across from you, and Sirius across from James. Conversation flowed comfortably, even if you only added in when James prompted you.
“So, Y/N, James tells me you’re a Ballycastle fan, aren’t ya?” Monty asked, looking up at you with a grin. You nodded, quickly trying to finish chewing your food. James squeezed your thigh under the table. “Bah, didn’t you think that last minute call the other night-“
“-was total bull!” you finished for him, the two of you laughing. James chuckled.
“No, no, you Bats fans are just sore losers,” James said, his smile matching his father’s.
“Says the Puddle Dud,” Sirius spoke up, causing the table to burst out laughing.
“Hey, how many European Cups have the Bats won again?” James feigned curiosity.
“Oh, okay, you want to bring up the Euro Cup then? When the Magpies have won just as many?” Sirius said. James’ hand was no longer on your leg and was now waving wildly in the air as his and Sirius’ debate became more heated.
“Alright, boys,” Euphemia said, immediately halting the argument.
“I just don’t know how you live with him, Ef,” Sirius said, exasperated. “I mean, he likes the most overrated team in the league!”
“You live with me too now, y’know,” James said, glaring at him. Sirius looked up with a stoic look on his face.
“Effy, Monty, I think it’s time we’ve had a real conversation about James moving out,” Sirius said, putting down his silverware.
“Enough,” Euphemia said, laughing at their antics. “You boys are too much.” Sirius and James ended their short scuffle with childish tongues stuck out at each other.
“James,” you said, putting a hand on his arm. He immediately stopped and turned to you.
“Sorry,” he said quickly.
“She’s got you wrapped around her finger, doesn’t she now?” Euphemia said, smiling as she took a sip of her sparkling drink.
“You don’t know the half of it,” Sirius said, returning to his meal. “The boy is whipped.”

Christmas time with Charles was always magical, in every way possible he made the holiday season so special for you, and it had been that way since you’d started seeing each other almost five whole years ago. Five Christmas’s together and they just kept getting more wonderful with every passing year.
What can he say, Charles loved to spoil you.
Today was nothing short of that, it was Christmas Eve and he’d pulled out all the stops, breakfast at your favourite cafe and now he’d taken you to the mountains to see a little snow and go on a winter hike, a tradition the two of you had.
“Are you warm enough amour?”
“Mhm thank you, it’s really pretty up here”
Getting away from Monaco for a few hours on Christmas Eve before all your dinner’s and events happened over the next few days.
“I have one thing to show you on the trail before we go back, they just added it” came Charles’s voice from behind you
“Okay, is it super far?”
“Nope just up here”
He sent you a smile and a wink as he took your hand, walking you up a small cut off path and to a balcony that over looked the snow covered trees, a fire burning at the centre of the deck, it was stunning.
“Oh wow…Char this is beautiful!”
Resting on the far railing your eyes scanned the view, taking your phone out and capturing a moment you would for sure remember for the rest of your life. It wasn’t until Charles cleared his throat that you turned around and just about dropped your phone.
“Char…”
“Mon amour…”
Tears were lining your eyes as you saw him down on one knee, in his finger tips a gorgeous diamond ring, that same boyish smile on his face that made you fall in love with him.
“I love you so much, you know I do..I know there is no one else on this planet better for me than you, baby you have been through hell and back with me, supported me through every step of racing and our days together…I couldn’t and would never want to experience and live a life without you in it, so..”
“Yes.”
Charles laughs, tears spilling down your cheeks as you sniffle and laugh along with him
“Will you marry me?”
“Yes Char, of course I’ll marry you baby”
Even if he knew your answer the whole time, he still felt his heart beat out of his chest, his hands a bit shaky as he slid the ring on your finger, standing up to kiss you deeply, holding you as if the world would just crumble up beneath you.
“Thank you.”
Pulling back to look at you, Charles cradled your face in his hands and swiped a few stray tears away
“You never have to thank me for loving you like you deserve”
“I love you Mr.Leclerc…”
Charles smiled and leaned forward to kiss you once more
“I love you more Mrs.Leclerc”
It was official, you were never going to get tired of hearing him call you that, what started out as a fairly normal Christmas Eve turned into something you never saw coming. Not only were you getting another Christmas with Charles and his family but you were getting all your holidays with him for the rest of your lives.
Christmas really was the most wonderful season of all..

A Present For You
synopsis: Megumi has always prepared presents for you during Christmas, and so you decide to change that.
warnings: fluff, megumi is a cutie pie, gn!reader — wc: 1277
notes: HAPPY VERY BELATED BIRTHDAY MY SWEET BABY BOY <3 and merry christmas everyone :3
Christmas with Megumi has always been relaxing and sweet. You’d occasionally wake up to breakfast in bed made by him specially for you, and sometimes, he would surprise you with a gift or two.
However, this Christmas, you wanted to change that. Instead of Megumi surprising you as usual, you wanted to be the one to surprise him instead. When you went grocery shopping yesterday, you quickly stopped at the mall, looking around to see what to get him. Instead of taking you just a few minutes, it took you almost an hour — you’re glad Megumi was too busy in Jujutsu High to even notice how long you’ve been gone.
You honestly really didn’t know what to get him — Megumi has never really stated what he wants for Christmas, and that’s because he’s never really wanted anything besides spending the whole day with you. It’s sweet and all, but you wanted to change that. So, instead of getting him a really expensive present, you grabbed a few materials from the art store (a scrapbook, some cute papers, stickers, and gel pens).
You wanted to make him a scrapbook with all the pictures you have taken with him as a memory. Printing the pictures out was easy enough, but making the scrapbook look pretty was hard — you didn’t really have a creative mind, so you had to rely on the internet and reference pictures to help.
It took you almost two hours to finish the whole scrapbook, just in time for Megumi to come home. You quickly hid the scrapbook in a drawer, a place where you think Megumi would not look in — besides, he would have never guessed you had prepared a special Christmas present for him.
The front door opens. “Y/N, I’m home,” Megumi calls out to you and you quickly rush down the stairs, greeting him.
“Gumi!” you exclaimed happily. “Welcome home! How was your day?” you were uncharacteristically very enthusiastic today, which made Megumi a little bit suspicious of you. “What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?”
”Nothing.” Megumi mutters, giving you a quick kiss on your cheek just as usual. “What have you been up to today?”
“Me? Nothing much. I just went grocery shopping and stayed home.” you say, not telling him about the scrapbook making and how long it took you to make. “Go and take a shower! You stink.” Megumi immediately frowns and is about to refute but you drag him up the stairs and push him into your shared bedroom. “I’ll be making dinner!” you slammed the door right in his face.
Megumi stares at the door for a few seconds before letting out a sigh as he shakes his head.
“Hmm,” you hummed, thinking of things to make for dinner. You looked in the fridge and eventually came to the conclusion of making an Oyakodon, Megumi’s favorite. You took out your phone and played your favorite playlist.
You were too immersed in your cooking and your song to even notice Megumi coming down the stairs. He sees you cooking, gently swaying side to side to the music. He cleared his throat, catching your attention. “Gumi! You scared me. Dinner’s almost ready.”
Megumi hums in reply. “What’re you making?” he walks up to you and looks over your shoulder. “Is that Oyakodon?”
“Yeah! Your favorite,” you replied happily. “A Christmas Eve special, if you would.”
Megumi smiles. “Thank you.”
Dinner went smoothly, Megumi occasionally talking about how annoying Gojo was to him and his classmates. You didn’t talk about the present you had prepared for him, already thinking about how surprised Megumi would be once he sees it.
Before you go to bed, you set the alarm earlier than usual, setting it down next to your bed. As soon as you lay down, Megumi wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
When the alarm rings, your eyes crack open, quickly turning off the alarm to not wake Megumi up. You carefully take Megumi’s hand off of your waist and stand up, opening the drawer to take the scrapbook out of the drawer.
You walked down to the kitchen, set the scrapbook on the table, and started to make some waffles. You’re glad Megumi is a heavy sleeper or he would have been woken up by the sound of you dropping the bowl. Well, that’s what you thought at first. Megumi had already woken up when you snuck out of the room (well, it’s more like he can’t sleep without hugging you).
Megumi was silently watching as you placed the waffle carefully on the plate, sighing happily when you managed to decorate it prettily. “Why’re you up so early?”
You screamed, obviously not expecting Megumi to be standing behind you. “Would you quit scaring me like that?! It’s not good for my heart!” you exclaimed, placing a hand over your heart. “How come you’re awake already? Did you know how hard it was to make this all quietly?”
“Couldn’t sleep without you,” Megumi admits and he sighs. “Why are you the one making breakfast? I thought I was the one in charge of Christmas breakfast.”
“Okay, stop. We never established who is doing breakfast on Christmas,” you say with a chuckle. “You just stepped up and started surprising me with breakfast in bed during Christmas. I wanted to change it up this year. Instead of you surprising me, I wanted to surprise you instead.”
You grabbed the scrapbook from the table and handed it to him, smiling. “Merry Christmas, Gumi.”
Megumi looks at the scrapbook for about five seconds before taking it. “You know you didn't have to get me anything…” However, once he opens it, he stops talking. All the pictures from when you first met, your first date, everything was recorded inside the scrapbook. You even took your time and made little notes under each picture, and even wrote about your favorite part of the day. “You made this?”
“What? Is it so hard to believe that I made something as cute as this?” you huffed. “It took me almost all day yesterday!”
“I’m not trying to say it’s unbelievable. I just wanted to say thank you.” Megumi mutters softly. “When did you—”
“I told you. I did all of this yesterday when you were busy in Jujutsu High,” you say, pointing at the scrapbook. “I know it’s not much but—”
Megumi quickly shuts you up with a quick kiss, cheeks turning pink. “It’s amazing, Y/N. This is the best present anyone could ask for.”
“Okay, now you’re being ridiculous.” you rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t help the way your lips turned into a smile. “Do you have anything for me?”
Megumi takes a box out of his pockets, holding it out in front of you. You gasped. “No, it’s not a ring.” You laughed at how immediate his response was to your gasp. Opening it, you were greeted with a charm bracelet, one that you were eyeing when you were out on a date with Megumi last week.
“When did you..?” you trailed off, admiring the bracelet.
Megumi takes the bracelet and helps you put it on. “Just a few minutes after I saw you looking at it. You went to the bathroom and I took that opportunity to buy this.” he secures the bracelet in place and smiles softly. “Do you like that?”
“Yes, of course I do, Gumi,” you replied. “It does put my gift to shame though. I mean, you got me a bracelet! I can’t even imagine how expensive it was.”
“Don’t think about it,” Megumi says. “Merry Christmas, love.”

1 day til' Christmas
spending a snowstorm with husband!miguel o'hara on christmas eve⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆
2 days til' christmas ← previous part
--------------------------------------------------------
It was the last day of keeping your pregnancy from Miguel and you couldn't be happier; tomorrow he would open his last Christmas gift and see a positive pregnancy test. You couldn't wait to share this great news with him.
The plan was to go to the hospital that morning but you miraculously got snowed in and you hadn't vomited that morning making it crucial to take it slow when drinking and eating.
Normally on Christmas Eve, the two of you shared a bottle of red wine and finished wrapping presents for each other and family and friends.
This Christmas, you would do the same but instead of wine, you’d have eggnog. Every single holiday Miguel is reminded that you hate the idea of egg nog. “Who would ever drink egg milk? That’s weird,” you said.
“I drink said, ‘egg milk’, it's one of my holiday comfort drinks,” Miguel would respond.
“I know but—“ you’d start.
“Please don’t yuck my yum,” he joked. “You’ve never even tried it before,” he continued.
You still had never tried eggnog but now you had a feeling that you’d like it. You took a small sip and your taste buds did pirouettes. Eggnog tasted like a sweet vanilla-flavored version of milk.
“This is good!” you exclaimed.
“Told ya,” Miguel responded as he began to wrap up personalized Fender guitar picks. He always swore Hobie got on his nerves but he still cared. Enough to get him such a valuable yet thoughtful gift.
The two of you enjoyed your drinks and marveled at the gifts you got each other. It was never really a surprise on Christmas day since you always wrapped everything together. There were one or two gifts that the two of you wanted to keep a surprise including yours. "What's this?" Miguel asked as he picked up a small rectangular box that had his name on it.
"That's your gift but I want it to be a surprise," you replied.
"Hmm, interesting," he replied as he put the gift down thinking it was something like a watch or a ridiculously expensive pen like the years before.
After two hours you were finally done wrapping all the gifts. You were both famished afterward. You were heavily craving some hot chocolate and marshmallows but you didn't have any marshmallows. On top of that, the two of you couldn't leave your home because of the snowstorm.
Thankfully, out of all of the random things that Miguel knows how to do, making marshmallows was one of them. You thankfully had all the ingredients, you tried to follow along but it was way too complicated. You sat on your kitchen island and asked him questions while he skillfully made the marshmallows.
You purposefully asked the dumbest random questions and he found it hilarious. While he was letting the marshmallows sit, he let you lick the bowl like you were a child again making cookies with a loved one that let you try the dough.
The two of you had prepared dinner while waiting for the marshmallows to finish setting. Christmas Eve dinner was your favorite because it was breakfast for dinner. This year's menu was eggnog French toast with cranberry jam and cheesy omelets with spinach and tomatoes in them.
In perfect timing, right after the two of you finished eating and cleaning up after your meal, the marshmallows were done. The two of you got comfy and cuddled on the couch wrapped in blankets watching Holidate with mugs with steaming hot cocoa in hand.
The night was perfect and your heart raced with excitement of what was to come the next morning. You fell asleep halfway through the movie so Miguel carried you to your shared room.
--------------------------------------------------------
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The lovers were nestled all snug in their bed
While visions of a baby shower danced in your head
Santa sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle,
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."
. . .
to be continued → Christmas Special

Wherever you find love (it feels like Christmas)
24 Clegan Christmas drabbles for 24 days!
Prompts from here (but randomized)
[Day 1] [Day 2]
[Read on AO3]
Day 03: Mistletoe
Pre-war AU, wc 1005
There’s mistletoe haphazardly stuck above the threshold of the mess’ door. It’s already half withered, small leaves turning brown and its pearly white berries wrinkling but it persists, unyielding. No one knows who put it there or why, it’s not like there are girls around to kiss underneath it; but ever since it’s there, it’s been a source of laughter for all the men.
The first ones caught underneath it were Ev and Benny, one Monday morning as they were walking in for breakfast still sleepy enough that they didn’t even notice the small plant until all the others, who were waiting and bubbling in anticipation for a pair to finally walk in at the same time, started whistling and cheering them on. The two shared a glance, chuckled, and shared a chaste peck on the lips as everyone cheered even louder.
That was at the start of December. Now, the day before Christmas leave, dozens of kisses have been exchanged and Bucky holds the record for most kisses shared underneath the mistletoe having kissed basically everyone in the building — except Buck, of course.
It’s no surprise: Cleven can be really evasive when he wants to. Somehow he always walks into the mess alone, sneaking past everyone who might be waiting for him to catch him out. It’s become some sort of fun challenge among the men but no one’s been able to trap Buck Cleven and kiss him, no matter how hard they tried; for John it’s particularly frustrating, because kissing Buck is the only reason why he put up the mistletoe in the first place.
He’s been walking with him to the mess every day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, lingering in the threshold if Buck’s a little behind, rushing to catch up with him if he’s walking ahead, but despite John’s efforts they never cross it at the same time. And it’s not his bad luck, no matter how much the guys are teasing him: Buck is actively avoiding to be kissed by anyone but he’s putting double the effort with John, sometimes even crashing into someone else on the threshold to give up his spot and have someone else share the kiss.
“Maybe you should give up,” Curt told John the fourth time they had to kiss because Buck had ran straight into him to push him out of the way. “You’re starting to look a little desperate.”
But John, a dog with a bone, never gives up.
Only it’s their last night before Christmas, they’ve already had dinner and tonight was no luck either, Buck being already sat down when Bucky finally arrived to the mess huffing in frustration.
“You’re no fun, Buck,” he grumbled sitting down in front of him and his best friend had the nerve to look absolutely unimpressed with him, that damned toothpick hanging from his lips as he looked at John like he knew something John didn’t.
A few celebratory drinks at the bar later, John positively tipsy enough that he’s not that angry anymore, just a bit sad because he’s gonna miss Buck while they’re apart. He tells him as much, voice a bit slurred and a bit whiny as he lays all of his weight on him, one arm around his shoulders and his sweaty forehead resting against Buck’s temple.
Buck would never let anyone else get so close, he wouldn’t put his arm around anyone else’s waist to keep them upright as they walk back to their room, wouldn’t keep up with anyone else’s antics as he does with Bucky — that should be enough, John figures in his hazy mind, he shouldn’t want anything else. He shouldn’t be so mad that his best friend doesn’t let him kiss him.
“‘m not gonna miss carrying your weight to bed every night, I’ll tell ya that,” Buck responds to his heartfelt confession, the softest hint of affection in his voice that John will bask in for all his leave.
“Oh you’ll miss it alright when you’re back home doing… I don’t even know what’re you gonna do for Christmas, Buck,” Bucky realizes, frowning. “Why ya never tell me anything?”
Buck sighs. “I’m a private man, John,” he says. “I don’t like people to know my business.”
“But I’m not people,” Bucky protests.
“No, you’re right. You’re not,” Buck agrees with a weird note in his voice. Then, coming to a halt right as they’re crossing the threshold of their room, “Well, would you look at that.”
Bucky looks around, confused, but he doesn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Then Buck elbows him in the ribs and gestures to him to look up and John finally sees it: a smaller mistletoe branch hanging over their heads, neatly stuck to the wood with some tape.
“I didn’t put that here,” Bucky says. “I swear, Buck, this one isn’t on me.”
He expect Buck to be mad, to not believe him, but the other guy just smirks at him — it’s a different kind of smile than Buck’s usual one, less composed and a bit more sheepish but always beautiful and blindingly shiny. “I know you didn’t,” he says. “I did.”
Before Bucky can process what Buck has just said, he leans closer and kisses him on the lips. It’s so brief and delicate it’s almost not even there, just a brush of Buck’s soft lips against Bucky’s, and yet it sparks electricity all over him, static buzzing in his ears like someone’s left the radio on.
It’s over before Bucky can even think about doing something about it, before he can wrap his arms around Buck’s body to haul him closer and kiss him better; Buck steps away quickly, putting enough distance between them Bucky won’t dare to do anything, but he’s flushed and breathing heavily like he’s just run their morning laps, a spark in his eyes Bucky’s certain has never been there before.
“Merry Christmas, John,” he says and leaves Bucky there, dumbstruck and speechless for the first time in his life.

Chan:
New Years Eve approached faster than expected and it had been a tradition for Chan and you, to always keep the Christmas tree until after New Year. The atmosphere seemed more cozy with the little tree in the corner and it made you feel more at home. It was sad that Chan wasn’t able to spend it with his family, but you wanted to make sure that he’d still feel comfortable and happy with spending it with you. You had woken up earlier than normal, being happy that Chan was still asleep and started working on the breakfast first. The dinner would certainly be more fancy but first you’d get the breakfast done. Chan normally worked late, meaning he often slept in on his off days, which was lucky for you. You were nearly done with the breakfast when strong arms wrapped around your waist and his head found its way to your shoulder. “Why are you up so early?” You questioned while turning your head to him, to give him a quick kiss. “You weren’t next to me, so I wanted to see what you’re up to.” His voice extremely deep, as he had just woken up. “I figured I could make some breakfast for us, before I get to dinner.” “Oh, about that…” His tone seemed strained and you wondered what was going on. “We can’t spend the evening together. Something came up at the Company, something about plagiarism… I really have to go and sort it out and that could take a while…” He sighed and you tried to not show your disappointment by smiling at him. “It’s okay Channie. It’s not your fault and those are some serious allegations. Just take care of them, I’ll wait here for you.” He apologised a million times during breakfast and you tried to reassure him as much as possible that it would be okay. After that, he had to leave, leaving you alone at the apartment. That was certainly not what you had planned. Not only couldn’t he spend the evening with his family, but now he couldn’t spend it with you either, which kind of made you sad. Not for yourself, but for Chan. He deserved a break and it bothered you that he couldn’t get one. You started watching a series you really liked, while snacking on some stuff. You figured you could just get something delivered when you felt hungry. However, your phone suddenly went off and you saw Felix’ name on the display. “Felix? Is everything okay?” “Yes, everything is okay. I was wondering if you’re free.” “Free? To do what?” “Well, the boys are all at their houses with their families and I heard Chan-Hyung was caught up by work so I figured you’re free too.” “Weren’t you going to celebrate with Hyunjin and his family?” “Yeah, but something came up.” “Oh, well sure. What did you have in mind?” “Lets meet at that one restaurant we all liked. I’ll send you the address.” With that you hung up and started to get ready. It wasn’t something out of the ordinary for you to spend time with the boys, or one of them but it still felt weird. After you got ready you went to the address that Felix send you and waited for him in front of the restaurant. “Hey there, baby.” You immediately turned around and saw none other than Chan himself. “Channie?” You looked around, searching for Felix but he was nowhere to be seen. “Felix is not here. He’s at Hyunjin’s.” Chan chuckled and you tilted your head, slightly confused now. “I wanted to surprise you. I knew you had dinner planned and everything and that you wouldn’t accept my help, so I figured I’d make up an excuse to leave and get you to come here.” He finally explained yourself and you pouted. “You’re a meanie! I was so worried because you had to work on New Years Eve.” “Sorry, sorry.” Chan chuckled and hugged you. You two entered the restaurant, with a beautiful view over Seoul. You were lost in your conversation when you heard the first fireworks. It was 23:59. “They started early.” “No, the big fireworks have yet to come.” Chan answered but you certainly missed them, as Chan connected his lips with yours.
Minho:
You were currently getting ready to make your way to Minho’s. Even though you spend more time at his apartment then yours, you still kept yours. You were too lazy to move all your stuff to his, but you two wanted to do so in the new year. It was one of your goals, that you had set together so that you didn’t always have to go back and forth when you two practically lived together anyway. You were looking forward to Minho but also to Soonie, Dori and Doongie. The three little cats had stolen your heart the moment you went to Minho’s for the first time, so you certainly couldn’t imagine a New Years Eve without them. But moving them from Minho’s apartment to yours would be too uncomfortable for them, as it would be a new environment. The evening would be uncomfortable enough because of the noise already, the change of environment didn’t need to be as well. You didn’t mind anyways. You often went to Minho’s, instead of Minho coming to yours, so it was fine. Your phone pulled you out of your thoughts and your screen lit up with Minho’s name. “Hey.” You put the phone on speaker as you were still applying makeup. “Are you on your way yet?” You could hear a soft “miau” from the background and couldn’t help but smile. “No, I’m still getting ready, why?” “I have to go pick something up, so I was just wondering if you’re already on your way or if I still have time.” “I’ll still need a bit so you can go and pick it up.” You also had to pick something up on the way, so it would take you longer anyway. “Okay, that’s great. I’ll see you in a bit then.” You ended the call and soon finished with your makeup as well. After getting into a comfortable dress, you took your bag and left your apartment. You decided to drive to Minho’s today. It wasn’t too far on foot, only about 20 minutes but you still had to pick something up and you didn’t really want to carry it with you all the way to his house. It didn’t take long and you were finally on your way to Minho’s apartment. “Yes?” Minho immediately picked up after you called him. You were close to his apartment now and you wanted to make sure he’s already back. “I’m close now. Are you still at the out? If so, then I can take you with me. I’m with my car.” “No, don’t worry. I’m already home.” It didn’t take you long to arrive at his apartment, parking your car and making your way up to his floor. He opened the door for you, as you had forgotten the key at your apartment and took the bags from your hands. “What did you get?” Minho asked as he placed them on top of the kitchen counter as you were greeted by Soonie, Doongie and Dori. “Just some stuff.” You answered, preoccupied with the little cats. After a few minutes you finally joined him in the kitchen and only then did you notice a cake. “No way… Is that what you went out to get?” “Yes, remember when we both saw it at the store? We both liked it so I figured I could get it for today.” “Minho…” He looked at you and immediately understood. “You got it too?” He couldn’t help but laugh at that, which you immediately joined in. Now two cakes were sitting at the living room table. You had also gotten a lot of snack for Soonie, Doongie and Dori of course. “Sometimes we really do think too alike.” You chuckled as you snuggled up to him on the couch. “True, but great minds think alike so we can’t do anything about it.” You smiled softly and the evening went rather calmly, until the fireworks started. You softly cuddled the three cats, so that they wouldn’t be too scared, offering them a lot of snacks and petting them, taking their minds of the fireworks. As soon as they were finally done, Minho couldn’t help but admire you openly. “I love you.” “I love you too.” A soft kiss followed, sealing your new year.
Changbin:
“Baby, you don’t have to be so tense.” Changbin’s voice slightly pulled you out of your concentrated state. You had been taking your wardrobe apart since the morning and Changbin finally decided to try and calm you down. His parents had invited you two to spend the New Years Eve together and even though you had met his family quite often, you still got nervous every time. His mother loved you and so did his sister and father, but somehow, even while knowing that, it didn’t calm you. “Binnie, we’re having dinner at your huge house, with your family… I don’t think anyone would be anything but tense.” “But it’s not the first time you’ve been there and met them.” He argued back, leaning back on the chair he had been sitting on for hours now. You had asked him to help you find an outfit and he of course didn’t mind, but the worry on you made him slightly worried too. He hated to see you tense, insecure or sad, so this was really no the setting he had hoped for. He wanted you to be comfortable, not worried. “Listen, baby.” He stood up and softly embraced your form, your head leaning against his chest, listening to his calming heartbeat. “If it’s too much we can cancel.” “No, it’s not that.” “What is it then?” “I don’t know. I just wanna leave a good impression.” “They love you. I doubt you can leave any better impression than you already have.” “You think so?” “Of course, baby. They love you. You know that. My mother and sister literally never leave your side when you’re there and my father likes you a lot too. There’s really nothing to worry about. They're all looking forward to spending today with us both. They even told me I shouldn’t bother showing up without you.” He chuckled at that and you had to join, finally easing your tensed muscles. “Okay, fine. Thank you Bonnie.” He gave you a soft kiss, before he left to get ready as well. It didn’t take long for you to finally choose a dress for the evening and you started to get ready as well. The makeup took you a bit as you weren’t sure what exactly you wanted to do, but you were still on time. “Lets take my car.” Changbin offered, taking the keys for his car, as you both made your way out of the apartment. It was rather chilly and you had forgotten our jacket, but the car was thankfully in front of the apartment so you didn’t walk for long. Changbin’s mother was the one to open the door for your two and she immediately embraced you first, before she did so to Changbin as well. “You two look amazing! Come inside.” She gently took your hands, leading you to the living room. Changbin’s father and sister were also already there and greeted you with the same warmth, his mother had done just seconds ago. You found yourself between his mother and sister, engaged in a conversation while he was talking to his father. It didn’t take long until dinner was ready and the conversation was moved to the dinning room. It was really nice and you felt silly for worrying so much in the first place. You felt Changbin taking your hand under the table and couldn’t help but smile at him softly. It was soon time for the fireworks, so you all went outside. It was even colder than before and you really regretted not taking a jacket. However, as perceptive as he was, Changbin of course had noticed it and draped his jacket over your shoulders. “Thank you.” “Of course.” The soft kiss that followed drowned out the sound of the fireworks completely, as you only focused on him and your beating heart.
Hyunjin:
You woke up rather early, being extremely excited for the day. It was New Years Eve, but that was certainly not the reason of your excitement. Hyunjin had promised to take you to his art studio today. He had been really inspired the last few weeks and had spend a lot of time there. You had often gone there but it felt different today. It somehow felt special. Hyunjin had already left earlier, claiming that he still had to finish a certain painting before you came, so you fixed yourself a small breakfast and readied some stuff you could eat for dinner together. You doubted that you would be back before midnight, so you could spend the evening at his art studio. After you had fixed up something for dinner, which you could heat up at his studio, you started to get ready. It was a loose dress with a pair of black leggings. You wanted to be comfortable for the evening but also look pretty, so you also fixed your makeup before calling Hyunjin. “Jinnie, are you done?” “Nearly, why did you want to come now?” “I wanted to go pick something up from the store first, but I’d come after that. How much more time do you need?” “Around an hour?” “Sure! Then I’ll walk.” You ended the call, grabbed your bag and made your way to the store. You wanted to get some snacks and sweets before going to his studio. You figured he’d be hungry and if you really were to spend till midnight there you would certainly need some snacks and drinks as well. After getting everything you needed, you finally made your way to his art studio. It wasn’t too far but it still took you a while on foot. It had already gotten dark by the time that you had arrived and knocked on the door. “Come in!” You opened the door and were immediately awestruck. Petals of red roses were scattered around the floor, while candles lit the way. His paintings were nowhere to be seen, which made sense because of the candles. You followed the candles and were met with Hyunjin on the terrace. A cozy little sit-area, made out of cushions and blankets greeted you, being illuminated by little hanging lights. It looked like it came straight out of a fairytale. You knew Hyunjin is romantic, but you certainly hadn’t expected this. “J-Jinnie, was this why you came earlier?” “Yep, I wanted to surprise you so I had to move all the paintings to safety and then start on this.” He smiled softly, giving you a red rose before pulling you into his embrace. He took your bags afterwards and you snuggled up to each other in the little make-shift couch, eating and snacking on the stuff that you had brought with you. “I do get to see what you’ve been painting tho, do I?” “Of course. I only moved them to safety but they’re still here. Even though it’s one painting I have been working on for quite some time now.” He helped you up and lead you to a painting that was covered by a cloth. It was the only painting that was on the terrace with you. He pulled the cloth of in seconds and you were left in awe for a second time. He had painted you. “No way you see me as that beautiful.” You couldn’t take your eyes off it and he couldn’t take his eyes off you, when the fireworks went off. “No… I see you as even more beautiful but it would be impossible to capture that on a canvas.” He admitted and the moment you turned to him to disagree he connected your lips, silencing the complaint in seconds. Not that you minded though, it was certainly the most beautiful way to start the new year.
Jisung:
You really worried about Jisung at this point. He had spent a lot of time in the studio in the past few weeks. At first you had thought that it was because he was working on a song with Chan and Changbin, but they both had told you that they had already finished all the songs they had been planning to finish before New Years Eve. They wanted to take it easy and continue in the New Year with new and fresh motivation. They were of course already planning their next comeback but it wouldn’t be too stressful for now at least. However, Jisung still rarely left the studio and you really wondered what he had been working on. He didn’t tell you and apparently neither did he tell the boys. None of them knew what he had been working on, but Chan suggested that it might be a new solo song or something close to that. Maybe he had gotten some inspiration and was now thriving in it, not wanting to stop until he was finished. Typical for artist and the boys all knew the feeling. You however didn’t, so you worry only got worse whenever you saw him return to the apartment, completely tired. Every night until today. It was New Years Eve and you were surprised when you were met with a sleeping Jisung in your shared bed. It was still rather early and you hadn’t heard him when he had returned last night, so he probably had pulled an all-nighter again. You got up as quietly as possible, so that you wouldn’t wake him, wanting him to rest as much as possible. Wanting to surprise and energise him, you started on making brunch, as you knew he wouldn’t wake up for breakfast, so you would just have to combine them. It wasn’t a rare occasion and you didn’t mind, you just wanted him to have as much rest as he could get, before he would get back to working again. He woke up around 11 am, softly hugging your form when he saw you. “Did you rest enough?” Your voice was quiet, seeing that the sleep hadn’t left him completely yet. “Mhm.” “Should we eat something?” He only nodded at that and you two made your way to the kitchen to eat the brunch you made. “Are you going back to the studio?” You were surprised when he shook his head. “Well not alone at least.” “What do you mean?” “Well it’s New Years Eve, so I was wondering if you wanna come with me.” He smiled softly at you, as he took another bite of his food. “Sure!” You had always wanted to accompany him after you had heard from Chan that he was working on something alone, but you also didn’t want to intrude. You knew that Jisung was often insecure about his lyrics or songs, so you didn’t want to push him to show you. So him asking you to accompany him was a huge thing and it made you super happy. It was already getting dark when you two had gotten ready and made your way towards the studio. It wasn’t too cold, so you two decided to walk, as it wasn’t far away from the apartment either. “What type of song is it?” You asked after a while. “I’ll let you listen to it later.” He answered and surprise took over your features again. Telling you about it was one thing, but letting you listen to it before Chan or Changbin did… was a complete other thing. You always listened to his songs, but he only let it happen after Chan and Changbin had agreed that it was really good. Jisung only wanted to show you amazing songs, even though he knew you would love all of them. You finally arrived at the studio and it was rather close to midnight now, after you had also eaten dinner. You wondered what song it was, as Jisung still didn’t let you listen to it. He took your hand softly and lead you to the rooftop of the studio. “Here.” He gave you headphones and it didn’t take you long to understand that the song was about you. “Sungie, I-…” Tears were welling up in your eyes but he didn’t give you any time to start crying, as his lips found yours the moment the fireworks erupted. “Happy New Year, Jagi.”
Felix:
You were really happy that Felix had gotten the opportunity to spend the New Years Evening with his family in Australia. You were currently driving him to the airport and even though you were sad that you couldn’t spend it with him, you were still happy he could with his family. “Do you have everything? Passport, clothes?” You asked for the millionth time this day. You were more anxious than Felix was, not wanting him to miss his chance to go see his parents. You had fussed over him the entire time when he had been packing and he could only smile at how cute you were being. “Yes, love. We’ve gone over it at home, in the car and here. I think I have everything. Don’t worry too much.” He smiled, his typical angelic smile, at you. You would certainly miss him tonight. A soft kiss later and he was on his way to his gate. You stayed until you couldn't see him anymore and then left as well, only then letting the tears fall that had threatened to. You went back to your shared apartment but it felt so empty without Felix so you figured you could go out. Getting ready and wearing something warm, you made your way to the beach. It had become quite a tradition to watch the fireworks with Felix together from this beach. You two had done so the first year you started dating and kept doing it every year, until today. Normally, Felix was too busy to fly to Australia, but this year was lucky and he found the time to do so. You strolled through the beach, your eyes fixed on the ocean. It had already gotten dark and it would only be a few hours until midnight. You pondered over calling Felix but you didn’t want him to see you cry. You didn’t want to make him sad. You sat down at your favourite spot on the beach, the spot where Felix had told you that he loved you. The spot where everything with you two had begun, when you suddenly felt someone behind you. You immediately turned, but you certainly hadn’t expected to see your angel of a boyfriend. “Lixie? But how? Why?” You couldn’t believe your eyes. It was really Felix standing in front of you. “I'm sorry for lying.” He softly started while embracing your smaller form, not too tight so you could still look up at him. “What?” “I didn’t book a flight to Australia. I wanted to, but when you said you wouldn’t be able to come, I decided against it as well. We spent Christmas with my family, so that’s more than enough for me.” “But I drove you to the airport.” “I wanted to surprise you. I told Chan-Hyung about it and he helped me. He picked me up after you had left.” Only now did you notice the little bag and flowers he had with him. He gave you the bouquet with flowers and you didn’t know how you had been able to unsee it. It was huge and beautifully arranged. “Lixie, I-…” “Just accept it please. I know what’s going on in your cute little brain now, Love. But this is what I wanted.” He smiled softly and you couldn’t hold your tears back, hiding your face on his chest. After you had calmed down, you two sat down on the blanket he had brought and enjoyed his signature brownies until the fireworks were only minutes away. “Love.” You turned to him. “You have something here.” “Where-…” But he didn’t let you finish as his lips connected with yours the moment the sky was lit up by the fireworks.
Seungmin:
It was finally New Years Eve. You had been l looking forward to it for months now. You had a huge surprise planned for Seungmin. The boys had helped you to keep it a secret from your lovely boyfriend for months now and you were quite sure that Seungmin didn’t suspect a thing. You had prepared it whenever he was with the boys and the boys kept you updated on when he would call you or when he would leave first, to surprise you. It felt a bit mean, as you would always act surprised whenever he was home earlier, but it was all for the sake of your surprise today. His family had gone on a little vacation, so it would be only you two tonight. The moment his parents had said that, you got ready to make it the most beautiful New Years Eve ever. You were currently working on the dinner for later, with Seungmin together. He always helped you out when he was at home, today being no exception. “Is this good?” He always asked you, as he knew you were quite precise on how things had to be on special days. “Yep, thank you.” You beamed at him and he returned it with a soft smile. “By the way, I’ll have to pick something up at the store later but looking at dinner I might not be able to. Could you do it for me?” You needed him out of the house so you could get the last part of the surprise ready. “Of course. Just tell me which store and what you ordered.” His answer came in a heartbeat and you couldn’t help but think of him as adorable. “Thank you, Minnie.” Dinner was done faster than you had expected and it had gotten quite late as well. You started to arrange the plates and make some side-dishes so that it would look as if you’re still busy. “Can you go now, Minnie?” You asked softly, pulling him out of his thoughts, as he had been focused on one of the side-dishes. “Sure.” He got ready and headed out, not a second after the door shut you left the side-dish aside and called Chan. “Chan?” “I’m on my way already. There was a little bit of traffic but I should be there in 5.” “Okay that’s perfect!” You ended the call, getting the table ready now, placing all the dishes and side-dishes on it before you got the drinks. You turned the lights off, letting only the hanging lights illuminate the apartment. You nearly tripped when you heard the door, praying that it was Chan and not Seungmin. Thankfully, it was Chan and you took the little box from him. “Thank you so much, Chan.” “You’re welcome. Don’t forget to film his reaction.” “Camera is already standing, don’t worry.” You chuckled and Chan nodded, before he left. You couldn’t risk Seungmin, seeing Chan now. It didn’t take long for Seungmin to arrive and put the little cake you had ordered on the table. “Jagiya.” He called out and you could hear the confusion in his voice. “I went to pick up the stuff you ordered but the salesman gave me dog food as well. Did you plan on gifting it to one of the boys?” Seungmin asked as he entered the living room, only to let the dog food fall out of his hands. “Nope, I got it for you.” You stood there, with a little puppy in your arms. Chan had gone and picked him up as you had planned for it to be today. It had taken a long time to find the perfect little puppy at the shelter but when you did, you were overjoyed and the workers were more than happy to help with your little surprise. You knew how much Seungmin had wanted one. Chan had told you that he had even thought about buying you one, as he wanted to raise it together with you, so you figured that you could do so, in the new year. “No way… Jagiya you’re… Amazing.” He chuckled softly, before embracing the puppy and you as softly as he could. Connecting your lips the moment the fireworks erupted, while also covering the little puppies ears.
Jeongin:
“Should we pick it up before we go or on our way?” Jeongin’s question pulled you out of your thoughts and you turned to look at him. “The cake, Princess.” He chuckled softly. You were completely engrossed in your makeup that you had barely registered what he had said. “Oh. Let’s just pick it up on the way to the boys. If we pick it up now, we would just make the way twice.” “Then we should probably leave earlier tho.” Jeongin notified before he left the bathroom, where you were currently getting ready. You decided to spend this years New Year Eve together with the boys at the shared dorm. Jeongin and you mostly spend your time at your shared apartment so this would certainly be something else. Jeongin was already finished with getting ready and was just making sure you had everything. Everyone had gotten different tasks and Jeongin and you were in charge of the food. You had all decided to order some food, so that you could just enjoy the evening. You had first offered to get a cake too but Felix insisted in making it with Hyunjin as they would be making brownies anyway. You had already called the restaurant in advance, telling them when the food had to be ready. You were at your finishing touch when Jeongin had done so, wanting to make sure they wouldn’t start preparing it too early. He didn’t want it to be too cold. You slipped into your dress and left the bathroom, taking your bag and finally meeting Jeongin at the door. “You look amazing…” He was awestruck but so were you. Jeongin looked amazing no matter what. “Thank you. I can only give that back.” You chuckled softly and you two made your way to the car. It wasn’t too far but you also had to transport all the food, so it would be easier by car. Jeongin drove while you updated the boys. Chan, Changbin, Seungmin, Jisung and Minho were already at the dorm, meaning only Felix, Hyunjin, Jeongin and you were missing. Felix and Hyunjin had apparently run into traffic but they said that they would be there in around 10 minutes. By the time Hyunjin and Felix arrived, Jeongin and you had finally gotten the food and drove off as well. You finally joined the others, taking the bags out of the car. They had heard the car pull in and immediately came outside to help you with the bags of food. The aroma was filling the dorm and you all sat down around the table to start eating and joking around. By the time you had finally started to eat Felix brownies you were full. So you pushed the brownies aside for now and all went out to sit on the terrace, just enjoying the night view. The brownies on a table in between all of you, being there as little snacks, if anyone craved any. Jeongin had never left your side throughout the evening. Even though he knew that you were comfortable around the boys, he still didn’t want to be too far away. It was the first year that you spend New Year with the boys, so it was still something new and you didn’t know them as well as Jeongin did, obviously. He caressed your hand and it made you feel at ease immediately. It was close to midnight when the boys went back inside, using the excuse that they wanted to clean up the dorm a bit. “Tonight was really fun.” You broke the silence first, while leaning on Jeongin’s shoulder. “Yeah. I love you and I love the boys so this was really nice.” You smiled softly at that. “Thank you for inviting me.” “Of course. I love spending time with you and so do the boys.” “Who loves it more?” You turned to look up at him. “I do of course, Princess.” His signature smirk didn’t go unnoticed as he connected your lips, the sound of the fireworks that just erupted went unnoticed by both of you, as you lost yourselves in the kiss. Fully knowing that the boys would certainly tease you in a second about it. “I love you, Innie.” You whispered against his lips. “I love you too, Princess.”

Christmas Eve.
The museum closed for holidays, so I had time for myself. Lando stayed the night and then left early in the morning to go work, pressing a soft kiss on my forehead after getting dressed and a note on the kitchen table.
‘When you wake up call me, I want to ask you something’
-LN
I smile softly reading it, folding it and putting it inside of the pocket of the hoodie he left on my bed, blushing while remembering last night.
“You know? I want you to meet my family”
I looked up at him surprised, leaving the chopsticks on the table. We were talking peacefully about random things. He said something about his family doing a Christmas lunch all together in their parents house, saying that his brother's family would be there too.
“What? But… How come?” I asked surprised.
“Yeah! It's not funny to be alone on Christmas, and Mila misses you” he smiled, resting his face on his hand. “She can't stop asking about Vivi”
“Cute little Mila” I smiled softly. “But… You said meeting your family. As…”
“Yeah” he nodded. “Violet, you know that what we have will lead to something bigger. And I won't ask you until both of us feel ready to make it official. I like what we have right now, how we are right now. I just… I just want my family to meet my favorite person”
I smiled looking at him, getting up from my chair and went around the table to stand in front of him. He looked up at me and moved the chair back, letting me sit on his lap while he placed his hands on my thighs.
“I would love to meet your family” I smiled softly, kissing his forehead. “I mean, I already know your brother and his wife and kids, and your dad…”
“You know what I meant, silly” he chuckled.
“Yeah, yeah” I laughed softly. “But then I should buy gifts for them?”
“Hey, don't worry about it. I have that covered” he said. “If you want to, buy something for my nieces, hm?”
I smile and nod, hugging him and kissing his lips softly.
“Are you trying to make me the auntie of baby Athena and Mila?” I whisper against his lips, hearing him laugh.
“God damn it, I didn't know you could read minds!” he laughed. “Maybe”
I smile, biting my lip, making my breakfast and sitting on the table, calling Lando while I eat.
“Hey, good morning” he smiled.
“Morning” I smiled. “What did you want to ask me?”
“Oh, well! Straight to the subject, hm?” he laughed. “Just wondering if you wanted to come to the filming location to see how we work. And well, so you can relax a little”
“Your concept of relaxation is really different to mine” I smiled.
“Come on, you don't miss my face?” he laughed.
“I saw it this morning”
“Not enough” he said. “But, yeah… and besides of you coming to the filming, I was wondering if you wanted to have company for dinner”
“Oh?” I frown. “I thought you were going with your family?”
“Not actually” he sighed. “I asked you yesterday if you wanted to come with me for Christmas because tonight my parents won't make a family dinner. My sisters and brother will be with their partners and friends, and my parents will be with their parents and siblings. So… yeah. I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with Max, Pietra and me”
“Really?” I smile. “I… I would love to”
“Wait, really? I mean, if you want to be alone I totally get it” he said quickly. “You need time alone and that's something I'm actually not giving you”
“Lando, I do want to spend Christmas Eve with you, Max and Pietra, okay?” I smiled.
“Oh… That's great” he smiled.
“Look, why don't you all three come to my apartment?” I smiled. “I'll make dinner, and that will mean that I can't go to the filming because I have to do groceries…”
“Don’t worry” he smiled. “I'll tell Max, yeah? You want me to go there and help you?”
“It's okay, I can do things on my own. If you want to come early that's okay, but I'll go buy presents for all of you, so…” I blushed.
He's just making me feel like a silly girl in love. And I mean, that's what I am.
“I'll go to your apartment once I finish to help you with dinner, that sounds good?”
“Sounds amazing” I smiled. “I'll see you later. Good look with the filming”
“I'll need it” he chuckled. “Bye, I have to go”
I sighed, ending the call smiling. Lando makes me want to be a better person, he makes me want to be worthy of his love.
After eating breakfast and cleaning the apartment a little I got ready to go do groceries for tonight. I just knew that I wanted to do something simple after asking Pietra, Max and Landon what they wanted, so I went straight to the grocery store.
But somehow, the shivers came back. Walking around the market made me feel unsafe. Why? Was it because there were some of Lando's fans? No… It was something worse, I think.
“Violet?”
I swallow thickly, hearing him behind me.
Harry.
“Oh… Hey” I sighed, trying to sound calm.
“What are you doing here?” he frowned.
“Buying the groceries, obviously” I said, sighing.
“Yeah, I'm not blind” he said, making me flinch. “What, Lando already got bored of you?”
“What's your problem, Harry?” I frowned, trying to not argue “Really, what did he do to make you act this way? Why keep him away from me? If you were a friend, you could see that he loved me and that I needed to be loved! And was exactly what I needed”
“Love? Don’t make me laugh, Violet” he scoffed. “He only wants to keep you away from me”
“You are wrong. Really wrong” I frown, walking away.
I just hoped he didn't follow me, because there was something in my chest that told me that there was something wrong with him. He wasn't acting how he used to act around me.
Somehow I was anxious. The boxes I received came back to my mind, the bad feeling I had in my chest during that day came back again, and I couldn't stop looking over my shoulder checking that he wasn't following me.
When I went back to my apartment the first thing I did after leaving the groceries was grab the boxes and throw them into the trash outside of the building. There's something I don't like about this, and I just hope my guts were right.
I took a deep breath trying to calm down before going to buy gifts. There's no use of thinking about those things now, I only have to ignore it and think about this evening, that's all.
I was with Max filming, getting everything done before going to dinner. We wanted to wrap it up quickly so we could send everyone there.
“Lando! You received a package” one of the staff said.
“Oh? Damn, Christmas came early” I joked, walking towards him, grabbing the box.
“I guess” he smiled.
I walked towards the table where we had the snacks and I opened it frowning when I saw an envelope. I sighed, opening it.
‘I guess this is your new toy, hm? Have fun with the gift'
I frown and look around, watching as there were pictures inside of the envelope.
I tried to not scream when I saw them. When I saw her. Pictures talked from the street of her getting changed, of her working on her desk. Pictures of us yesterday.
“What the…” I frown, leaving the pictures on the table and looking inside the box. “Shit”
There was underwear. Her underwear. I recognize it, she had similar panties one night I slept with her back in the snow. Inside of it there was another note, and I felt my hands shaking.
‘Violet Grace Sinclair’
“What the fuck is this” I frowned, swallowing thickly.
This is a joke, a really really bad joke.
When I heard someone walking towards me I put the underwear inside the box quickly, as well as the pictures and the card.
“Mate, you ready?” Max said behind me. “You okay?”
“I have to leave” I said quickly. “I… Fuck. I think a fan is stalking Violet”
“What? For real?” he frowned.
“Yesterday was the same… but only the pictures” I said nervously, grabbing my phone. “I received pictures of her in the morning in her house. Whoever is sending me this, it's a sick person”
“That's why you left the filming and stayed with her” he sighed.
“Yeah”
“Go with her. Pietra and I will go later, okay? Just stay with her” he said, placing his hand in my arm and squeezing it.
I just nodded and grabbed everything I had, my coat, backpack and that stupid box that I will soon throw to the trash. I walked to my car and drove as fast as I could to her apartment. I pressed the doorbell of the front door and when I saw that she wasn't answering I started to panic.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck” I groan, grabbing my phone and calling her.
“Yeah? Lando?” I heard her answer, making me sigh relieved.
“Where are you? I… I came to your apartment and you are not here” I said, trying to sound calm.
“Oh? I'm shopping some things, why? I thought you were filming?”
“I, well… we finished early” I smiled weakly, going back to my car. “I told you I was going to come to your apartment once I was finished”
“Oh, right! Well, if you want to come I'm in Regent's Street” she said. “I'll wait for you in the cafeteria near Levi's”
“Okay” I nodded, getting back inside my car and driving there.
There were many thoughts inside my mind. It's getting out of hand, I never thought that something like this could happen. And I'm not even dating her officially. What will happen if he date? If we announce our relationship? What will be next?
I parked the car in a parking lot and got out immediately, searching for her where she told me she was going to be. And when I saw her sitting on a table with some little bags next to her, I wanted to run and kiss her, ignoring the fact that we were in the street with many people that could recognize me.
“Hey” I smiled walking towards her, hugging her immediately.
“It's been a long time, huh?” she said sarcastically, making me laugh and kiss her cheek. “How was the recording?”
“Nice, yeah… Had fun” I said.
I walked with her, going to the stores she wanted. I just wanted to keep her safe. What if a crazy fan hurts her? What if that stalker is following her and taking pictures of her?
“Can I ask you something?” she said, looking back at me after paying for the last present.
“Of course” I nodded, holding the bag and walking with her.
“This… I mean, imagine we start a relationship “ she said. “Will you make it public like other couples on the grid? Will I go to your races and be the perfect wag and support you in the garage?”
“Hey” I smiled, holding her hand, making her stop walking and look at me. “I won't do something if you don't feel comfortable. I just want to enjoy us for a while, privately. I know there are pictures of us around social media… So if you want to stop doing these things in public, it's okay. I totally understand it”
“That's the thing” she smiled weakly. “I feel comfortable with you. And I don't care if people see us together. I just don't want them to think that I want attention neither your money”
“I know you don't want that” I smiled weakly. “I know you make your own money and that you don't want attention. You never wanted it. So for me it's okay, that's what matters. The world should mind their own business and stop trying to get into someone's life just because they think we owe them something”
I wanted peace for once. I wanted to have what other couples of the grid have, to be loved and receive the support of the fans and not hate and jealousy. I just wanted to settle down and be with the girl I've been wanting for years now. Is that too hard to understand?
She smiled and took a step closer to me, kissing my cheek and wrapping her arm around mine, walking close to me around the street.
Christmas dinner was something I always loved. Since little, my parents and I went to the family house in the village, hanging out with the family and doing the small traditions they have been doing since forever.
Christmas dinner meant that the younger ones sat on a table together, eating our own food and waiting for the dessert, mixing the drinks to fight the boredom, doing bets of who would get the presents they wanted, or who would have the jumper the grandma made as a trophy between us.
But as you get older you start to understand the dynamic behind everything. You start to understand why your uncle drank too much, why your father is quiet, why your mother is looking at her brother. You start to understand that not everything is magical for adults like for kids. And the sparkle of magic you thought that might hold, it was only a lie the adults told their children to make them happy, not making them see how growing up feels.
When I moved out to live in London because of my studies, the family dinners started to be less, the messages with them started to be less to the point that they were trying to find a way of mocking me because I lived in the city because of my studies. What used to be a few compliments about following my dreams started to turn into jokes. When my grandma hugged me tighter than my cousins because she missed me, their gazes held jealousy and anger.
And maybe, maybe I was grateful for not going there this year. I felt grateful for once because my parents weren't here to take me with them to the village. I was grateful because, for the first time in the last few years, I felt that magical sparkle again.
“How do I look?” I asked Lando after walking out of the room.
“I'm about to call Max and tell them to not come” he joked. “Black looks amazing on you”
“Thank you” I smile, kissing his cheek softly, feeling his hand on my hip. “You don't look bad neither, Lando”
He laughed and hugged me, wrapping his arms around and placing his hands on my lower back. Since that little talk in the street about our upcoming relationship and what we wanted to do, we just came to the conclusion that we wanted to let it flow. We knew there were pictures of us, both of us received the notifications and Lando already had a talk with his manager about it, so we thought that not hiding was the best option, but make it private, not secret. There was no use of denying things when people obviously know something is going on, it would bring more hate.
“Lately I didn't like Christmas dinner” I said, resting my head on his shoulder. “It was weird, tense… My cousins were jealous all the time, my aunt always asking about my past relationships. So annoying”
“Just think that tonight you won't be with them” he sighed, rubbing my back. “I remember that you always came back from your family house annoyed… now it makes sense why”
“Since my cousin Sam discovered that you and I were friends… he never stopped asking me to get him an invitation to a race” I confessed, sighing. “He was always asking about you and when I was going to a race. Not even my own studies, you know? And somehow that made me mad. That he was interested in who I am with and not in how I am”
“I'm sorry, Violet” he sighed, kissing my temple softly.
“It's okay” I whisper. “I just know that if he texts me now it will be to ask if I'm dating you”
He sighed and hugged me tighter, taking a deep breath and kissing my temple a few times. I never imagined he would be like this, that he would hold me this way all the time, that he would hold me and kiss me in the street. I never saw him do that with his previous relationships.
“I'm happy to know this side of you” I whispered against his neck. “I don't regret giving you a chance”
“I won't stop showing you how much I love you”
The evening was amazing. The dinner was good, some plates were cooked by me and Lando and others were things Pietra and Max brought to my apartment. And now, with their company, I didn't miss anyone. But somehow, I felt a small pain in my chest, a feeling of betrayal.
“You okay?” Lando whispered, resting his arm in the back on my chair.
“I just… Eloise never texted me back” I whispered. “Not even a text saying a simple okay. Nothing… And somehow it makes me feel bad, that our friendship somehow disappeared”
“Hey, it's going to be okay” he sighed, kissing my shoulder. “Give her time…”
“I know, but I just feel bad” I sighed. “I tried to talk with her, just to let her know my side of the story. And nothing. We know each other since we are kids, I thought she was going to trust me more than him”
He smiled weakly and kissed my temple, rubbing my shoulder. He knows I feel bad, and he tried to calm me. But there's still that feeling of worry and concern about her.

December 19th
pairing: no outbreak!Joel Miller x fem!reader
warnings: fluff
words: 678
a/n: although I've not made it very explicit before, this does take place somewhere between the mid 90s- mid 00s, just for reference with the pop culture stuff Joel no. 3 Directory
❄️❄️❄️
Living somewhere that was generally warmer than the typically wintry parts of the country, you never expected it to snow in December. You didn’t even bank on it snowing every year. But here it was, not even the last days of December and it was snowing.
Sure it was about ten flakes a minute and all of it was melting as soon as it touched the ground, but you were ecstatic. You bundled up in a coat, scarf, hat, mittens, and boots (not snow boots, just regular boots) to go on your walk outside and enjoy the snow. But then you stepped outside and decided to put your scarf back because you didn’t want to get too warm.
You were only to the end of the block when you heard your name being called. The voice was clearly recognizable and you turned to face Joel with a smile. He was wearing a coat and was walking quickly to catch up with you.
“Can I join you for your walk? Do you mind?”
“No, of course you can,” you told him and, with a fast-beating heart, you held out your hand to him.
Joel smiled and took your hand. He wasn’t wearing mittens or gloves, so before you started walking again you said, “hold on,” and pulled your hand back to take off your mitten and then put your hand back in his.
“Won’t your hand get cold?” Joel asked with a little concern.
“Mmm, I think you’ll keep me warm,” you said with a smug little smile.
Joel laughed and the two of you started walking.
After a bit of chatting, Joel said, “So, Sarah says you aren’t going to see your folks for the holidays?”
You laughed, “Of course she remembered. Um, yeah, they’re going on this trip to see my aunt in Australia but I don’t have enough time off to really make it worth it I don’t think.”
“Wow, that’s a long ways away. Do you… have other plans then?”
You shrugged, “Some people from work are getting together on Christmas Eve during the day but nothing later or on Christmas Day.”
“You could— I mean, um, Sarah and I would like to invite you to our Christmas, both Eve and Day, if you would like to attend,” Joel said, a little nervously.
You found it endearing that he was trying to be so polite. “That’s so sweet of you two. I’d love to come. What sort of things do you do? Any traditions?”
Joel smiled and brought your hand to his lips, pressing a kiss against the back of it before he replied,” Yeah, a few. But we keep things pretty lowkey overall. We have a nice dinner but nothing too fancy. And Sarah usually gets a movie as a gift so we’ll watch that Christmas Day. We’d be happy to incorporate any of your traditions you have.”
“Well I like that you’re not spending all day cooking. However, we usually make cinnamon rolls the night before to have for breakfast,” you told him.
“I feel like that’s doable, with you leading the charge.”
You smiled, “Definitely. We also, and I know this is somewhat of a controversial one, watch Die Hard on Christmas Eve.”
“Really?” Joel asked with interest.
Laughing, you explained, “I am into a good action movie every now and then. And it does take place on Christmas Eve and, I’m sorry, but Alan Rickman is very hot in it.”
Joel’s eyebrows shot to his hairline, Alan Rickman? You know his name?”
“Yeah! Have you heard his voice? And he’s so handsome, especially with that nice, prominent nose of his,” you said, very matter of factly.
Joel did find that a good sign as someone with a very prominent nose himself, “Yeah, I suppose he’s a good-looking dude.”
The rest of your walk was spent discussing movies, planning for your shared holiday, and just getting to know each other. And when you got back to your block, you managed to sneak Joel into your house for a little time alone together.

End of the Line: Hank Loza x Reader
Part of @storiesofsvu Holiday Bingo! The square was Home For Christmas!

The Finale of The Convention Storyline
Hank doesn’t expect you to make it home for Christmas. You’re in Berlin, doing an interview and photoshoot spread for one of the magazines you work for. You’d promised him you’d be home on the twentieth, he’d held off decorating his place until then thinking it was something the two of you could do together. You’d called on the day to tell him you’d had to switch your flight to Christmas Eve because the tattoo artist you were interviewing’s availability had changed.
He ends up putting up the tree and hanging up the baubles by himself because he’s bringing his mom here from the home on Christmas Day and he wants it to feel festive.
When you call him on Christmas Eve, he knows it’s bad news. You were supposed to be on your flight two hours ago. He has plans to pick you up from the airport with Riz’s pickup truck. A storm has moved in, you tell him, they’re grounding all flights until it shifts. He puts down the phone with a heavy heart. He knows you’re trying but he is too. Your career is important, he gets that, but he’s starting to feel less and less of a priority.
It’s Christmas Day when he gets a knock on the door. He’s wearing an apron when he answers, the turkey in the oven. His mom is in his Lazy Boy watching ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.
You’re standing at the door with your rucksack slung over your shoulder, the one you use for travelling. You look exhausted, he guesses a fourteen-hour flight will do that to you.
Over dinner it becomes clear you’re fatigued from your journey. You’re almost falling asleep at the table. You try to soldier through it, but there’s more than a couple of times he sees your eyes flicker closed.
It’s a repeat performance of your last few trips back to Santo Padre because even when you’re here, you’re not really present. You’re run down and tired, prepacking for your next trip. You’re trying to make this work the best you can, but the truth is it isn’t. You aren’t around to support him when he needs you, and he can’t be there to share your experiences.
It’s the next day he addresses the issue. You’re sitting down to breakfast, a cup of coffee in your hand and your rucksack already packed and by the door because tomorrow you’re shooting off to Naples.
“I think we both know this isn’t working.” He says as he takes your hand in his. “It’s nobody’s fault. I think we’re in two separate places, I want to settle and you…”
He trails off, struggling to find the words.
“I need more than you can give.” He says quietly.
He’s right, you know he is. The travelling back and forth to Santo Padre is leaving you stretched too thin. Usually, you move from assignment to assignment but the fact you keep coming here, eats up your time, your energy. By the time you make it back, you’re barely here a day or two before you have to go again. The time you do spend with Hank is limited and truthfully, you’re usually recovering from the flight in.
“I know.” You say softly, your eyes stinging. “I thought we could make this work…”
Hank reaches out, his thumb chasing away the tears that trickle down your cheek.
“We tried right?” He says, his voice breaking. “I think that’s all that matters, the two of us tried.”

i wanna see fifty five goldfinch pieces 💔💔
OKAY!! So I have this little series I like to call the great decompartmentalisation of Theo decker... Let me walk you through it. I promise there's art after the massive paragraph of meandering analysis alright
You know how Theo's life is segmented into these distinct episodes? And how he himself is split into multiple different identities, and how much shame and fear there is associated with the idea of those identities mixing? For example: the straight a student living a completely, delusionally idyllic life with his adoring mother and the vanilla teenage troublemaker breaking into people's summer homes with his shady homoerotic bestie. When the two identities come into contact via his suspension, it leads to the most traumatic event in Theo's life, and honestly I suspect that might be the origin of this tendency towards compartmentalisation... I could go through the whole book here but the most prominent examples are Theo panicking at the thought of Mrs Barbour or his therapist finding out about Hobie, his cutting himself off from New York when in Vegas with his other shady homoerotic bestie (the amount of times Vegas is compared to an alien planet...) and his dual post timeskip identifies of charming antiques salesman/fraudulent art stealing junkie. And this often manifests in Theo's reluctance to let people from his different periods interact - see him rushing to stop Boris from talking to Pippa, and him keeping Hobie in the dark about the blackmail, and isn't it kind of weird that the barbours - Theo's soon to be legal family - don't really interact with Hobie and Pippa? Anyway. Basically I thought it would be cool to make a series of little vignettes of theo allowing the people and places and things that represent various versions of Him to interact and thus symbolically healing the disconnected parts of himself... Or something. I have more ideas scribbled down but somehow the only ones I ended up with proper art for is the various holidays (which, holidays are also a weirdly prevalent theme in tgf? Idk whats up with that but it's a good tool for this purpose) so we have:
Christmas Eve at Boris's, featuring Pippa and Hobie - I feel kinda bad for only ever portraying Boris with polish customs but let's be real I'm just using him to show off my own heritage lol. In Poland the main Xmas celebrations happen on Xmas Eve, traditionally with the appearance of the first star in the sky. You eat the mostly inoffensive barszcz as well some truly vile shit, such as mushroom and cabbage dumplings, mushroom and cabbage salad, other items made of mushrooms and cabbage, and finally the most disgusting dish of my life: Jewish style carp. No, it's not quite the same thing as gefiltefish, although that's the Wikipedia page you might use to get to the actual dish. All washed down with compote which I hate. You also break and eat communion wafers while wishing each other stuff, which Pippa is doing with popchyk here hehe
Christmas breakfast as a little bonus despite it not having much of a tradition - I associate it with lots of hams/cured meats, gherkins and maybe Tatar sauce (yum). Much superior to the Xmas dinner imho. Really I just wanted Theo and Boris to have a moment to themselves haha
Christmas proper at the barbours, featuring Boris and Tom cable! I could talk about all the tension and who's diffusing it but honestly I think y'all can draw your own conclusions lol. I just think it would be really funny for the infamous dis-engaged couple to each bring their delinquent boytoys and for Boris the drug dealer to actually come out looking superior
Vegetarian friendly Thanksgiving at Hobie's, as tradition requires! I think he'd love to throw one of his big Thanksgiving parties purely for all of Theo's families to get to know each other... you know, kind of an elaboration on that Thanksgiving illustration I drew a while back! This would be before all the Christmases I think. Boris is winning Mrs Barbour over with his roguish charm lol I think old ladies would like him... Theo in the corner freaking the hell out as per this project's mission statement lmao
And on a slightly different note I wanted Theo Pippa and Hobie to all visit weltys grave. I'm borrowing slightly from the polish tradition of all saint's day, when you clean, decorate and light candles on the graves of loved ones.
#the goldfinch#theodore decker#pippa blackwell#james hobart#boris pavlikovsky#kitsey barbour#samantha barbour#platt barbour#toddy barbour#popchyk#featuring: toddy as the eternal peacekeeper and also mrs Barbours dogs#whose breeds i cant be bothered to check lol#boreo#tom cable#ask#anonymous

Do you hate me? pt. 2
After a dinner full of gossiping, laughing and stolen glances between the Gryffindor and I, we made our way to the dungeons to go to our dorms, me following Violet because I obviously didn’t know the way. While we were walking, she was telling me anecdotes about the castle and the classes we were gonna share tomorrow, which were potions and divination in the morning with students from Slytherin and Ravenclaw and after lunch (the moment I was waiting for the most) we would have flying lessons with the Gryffindors. Not the wisest choice if you ask me, I don’t think after having eaten like you do on Christmas Eve flying is the best option. What was actually cool is that we were finished with our day after flying, by four. Violet told me it was not usual to get that much spare time so we should use it wisely.
Upon entering the common room, I immediately thought it looked amazing. There was a big fireplace surrounded by wooden couches topped by hundreds of fluffy blankets and yellow and green colored cushions. I just wanted to throw myself onto one and stay there until the next morning. The room was illuminated by candles which gave It a really cozy vibe. On one of the walls was hanging a painting of a woman, holding a cup of beverage.
-Violet, who’s this?
She turned to me, before looking at the painting.
-This is Helga Hufflepuff my dear.
She said to me, while putting her hand on my shoulder.
-She’s the founder of our house.
-Yeah I kind of got that with the name you know?
She laughed before asking me how I thought the room was.
-It’s cool, I like it. The plants look amazing tho, do you use magic on them?
-Sometimes, but nothing’s better then just watering them every morning. We’re supposed to do it in rotations but I always avoid it.
-I could take yours if you want, I don’t mind.
-We’ll see if you still think that after being completely soaked ten minutes after you just woke up.
We were interrupted by our prefect telling us that it was time to go to bed since it was already ten, and we still needed to shower and tidy our rooms. And one thing was crystal clear, we needed to wake up at seven the next morning, breakfast was at eight and classes began at nine.
We entered our room and it looked like the common part but tinier and with more furniture of course. There was two desks, one bed for each person of course and shelves to put our clothes and stuff on it.
I was sharing the room with Violet and another girl from our year, Sarah.
I was finishing putting my clothes and all of my other stuff on my shelf when she talked to me for the first time.
-Hey, I’m Sarah, nice to meet you.
She extended her hand and smiled at me.
-Y/n, nice to meet you too.
She seemed like she wanted to say something else for a minute but maybe she thought she could save it for later, or not.
-Look, I know you’re Sam’s sister and I promise I don’t care about it, I just wanna be friends with you, you seem cool.
I smiled at that, maybe not everybody was gonna be interested in my status more than my person.
-Thanks, and it’s cool don’t worry, it’s not like my brother’s in Azkaban or something.
Violet showed me the showers and told me that I could use it in the evening or in the morning but not both, so I settled for the morning, I can’t go to class feeling dirty personally. The three of us changed into our pajamas and went to bed. It was only ten thirty so I decided to get a book and read for half an hour before going to sleep. I picked one about magical creatures that I already started a few weeks ago. I’ve always liked magical creatures, observing them in Beauxbâtons was one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. I hope Hogwarts has as much as my old school. One class I know I was gonna enjoy for sure was magical creature’s care.
The next morning I was woken up by Violet’s loud ass alarm, that I urged her to stop.
-Jeez Violet, did you enchant that thing? Why is it so damn loud?
-I don’t even know myself, I’ve been trying to get it to shut up for the past year but I don’t know how to turn it off.
-Why don’t you just smash it?
-It’s a gift from my mom she’d kill me if I do.
I groaned before getting up and heading straight to the shower and putting my uniform on, a plain grey skirt with a shirt and of course, the famous tie harboring the colors of my house. I decided to also put the high knee socks because why not and got out of the shower. When I came back in the room, Sarah and Violet were dressed and waiting for me. They were both night shower persons.
The temperature in the dungeons was really cold compared to the inside of the room but it got better as soon as we took the stairs to the Great Hall.
There were already a lot of students inside when we got here so we decided to quickly sit somewhere before there was no space anymore. I chose to eat some eggs and a slice of bread, despite the stares of Violet, who was way more of a sweet breakfast kind of girl.
-Seems like we really are opposites, between the shower and this.
I pointed out to her, while she smiled before telling me the corniest sentence I’ve ever heard.
-That’s why we’re made to be friends.
-Oh my god don’t ever say anything like that again.
We were bickering and going back and forth at each other while Sarah was holding her tummy because of laughing so hard.
-By the way y/n, you’re born in December aren’t you?
-Yes, 1st why?
-Oh so you’re the only one who’s still fourteen you baby.
-Hey, there’s only a few months left before I’m fifteen, don’t tease me like that.
-Kidding kidding, we’ll do something big for you birthday I swear.
-Why am I scared.
-With Violet and her weird ideas you should be.
-Hey!
Violet suddenly got up and started chasing Sarah in the hall, leaving me laughing like crazy at the table, but a bit ashamed at the same time that these two were my friends. I was finishing my plate when I noticed a shadow on the table, right next to me. I turned around smiling.
-You’re done chasing each other?
But instead of seeing Violet or Sarah, I met none other than Yang Jungwon, who was staring at me, his gaze once again piercing my soul.
-Hum, hello?
He just stared at me before furrowing his eyebrows and finally letting his eyes wander somewhere else, coughing a little bit when he probably figured that starring at someone wasn’t the most polite thing, and finally carried on to his table.
My eyes were fixed on his back, watching him go away before turning back to my plate, confusion written on my face.
Violet and Sarah came back running probably from having seen the interaction from the other side of the room.
-What just happened??? said Sarah.
-Yeah what the frick was that about?
-I don’t know, he just stopped here, looked at me very intensely and then just left.
-Man that’s weird.
-Yeah, you tell me about it Violet.
I said while turning around, seeing him at a table with his friends, his behavior completely different, laughing with the biggest smile ever.
We realized it was already eight forty five and we needed to head to potion class if we didn’t want to be late, which we definitely didn’t want to be according to Sarah.
-Professor Snape doesn’t like Sarah at all, explained Violet, she’s really bad at potions and blows a cauldron at least two times a week.
I laughed at that while Sarah was sulking.
-I’m trying my best Vi, you know that.
-Don’t worry Sarah, I’m also not that good at potions, we’ll cry together, both from the lessons and Snape.
I said while intertwining our arms.
The door of the classroom was already open when we arrived and we sat at a table with two other girls, both from Ravenclaw. We said hi to each other and got our stuff out.
Minutes later the professor came in and explained really quickly the lesson of today.
We were gonna do a common antidote. Or ‘try to do it properly’ said professor Snape while eyeing Sarah, who just smiled in return.
The recipe was pretty simple and I was actually surprised at myself for doing it right. Maybe I was just struggling in Beauxbâtons, or it was just a simple one and things were gonna get complicated, who knows?
Violet finished her potion in first and Snape allowed her to clean her stuff while he was checking on the other students. I finished mine ten minutes later and I felt like Snape analyzed my face more than my potion.
-Good enough y/l/n, but I must admit your brother was better.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise at his comment but nodded and got up to wash my cauldron, Violet in the background trying to hold back her laugh.
-Your face was priceless.
-Does this dude always get into personal stuff like that?
-Yep, once he told Sarah she was bad because her parents probably never told her about it.
I tilted my head to the side, not understanding.
-Sarah’s parents are muggles.
My eyes went wide at that statement and I whispered for nobody but us to hear.
-That asshole!
-No chatting in the classroom, if you are done cleaning your cauldrons you can go you are dismissed.
We waved to Sarah on our way out and told her we were waiting for her in the corridor to go to our next class together.
She nodded and continued her potion, hoping to finish on time. We waited a little further in the corridor for her and started talking to pass time.
-So, what did you think of your first class?
-I would’ve rather for it to be something else than potions but I’m glad Snape went easy on me.
-Next is divination, I hope you’re ready because this class is something.
-Do you need to be high to understand what the teacher is saying?
-If someone is high it’s her trust me. By the way, I think you were too immersed in your potion to notice, but you got someone’s attention.
She wiggled her eyebrows at me in a playful manner and I scoffed.
-Who?
-His name is Cole, a Slytherin, he is a third year like us.
-God it was already enough to have one guy’s attention on me.
-You should talk to him, he’s cute.
-Thank you for trying to be my wings-woman but you know sometimes being cute isn’t enough, take Jungwon for example.
She nodded before turning her head back at me.
-Wait a minute, you thing Jungwon’s cute????
-I mean, did you see the guy, he’s far from being unattractive and I know I’m not the only one that can possibly be thinking this.
-You’re actually right, he’s pretty cute.
-Oh my god, I’m free, FREE.
We turned around seeing Sarah running towards us while holding her book in a dramatic manner, repeating that she thought she was gonna die.
-Come on Sarah, let’s go to divination, you can sleep all you want in this one.
Her face lit up at that comment and she grabbed our hands to run to divination. Our next class took place in the astronomy tower, a beautiful aisle, the tallest point of Hogwarts. I was glad to finally be able to feel the air and breath, after an hour of class in the dungeons were it smelled like rotten carrots this was heaven. We took place in the middle of the classroom, Sarah complained that she couldn’t sleep well if she was to close to Trelawney, her sudden screaming bothering her.
Professor Trelawney was a weird lady, but quite interesting I must say, I don’t honestly know if she’s believing in what she says or just playing along.
She gave us the work of “reading in the crystal balls to see and try to understand each others future”. Sarah fell asleep pretty quickly, tired from Snape’s harassment and Violet and I were trying to understand whatever we could of this class.
-Okay Violet, I see, hum I see…
She nodded, interesting in what I was about to say, her eyes showing excitement.
-I don’t know I don’t see anything except weird smoke wandering inside that thing.
-I had hope in you! Come on tell me I’m gonna be drowning in money!
-Unfortunately, this might mean that you are gonna end up really poor Violet… Sorry for you.
-Man, it sucks…
We looked at each other briefly before laughing, waking up Sarah by the same occasion.
-Girls, my dream was good.
She said sadly, us apologizing a hundred times before getting back at laughing at whatever stupidities we were saying.
The bell rang and I was actually surprised at how fast students were getting up, not even paying attention to the poor teacher who was trying to give homework. This class really was the opposite of potions. As soon as we got to the Great Hall, my stomach was rumbling because of the delicious smell that was lingering in the air. We opened the heavy doors and found a table to sit at.
We didn’t waste a second and got up to fill our plates with delicious foods. I opted for a slice of meat pie and sweet potatoes. I then filled my glass with water and when I turned around, I noticed that Sarah and Violet weren’t next to me anymore, but a few meters away from me, saying goodbye to a boy I only saw the back of, but recognized the green and silver robe.
-Who was that? I asked as they approached me.
-Remember the guy from potion class, Cole?
Answered Violet.
-He asked your name, seems like he fancies you.
Continued Sarah, wiggling her eyebrows at me and giving side eyes to Violet.
-Don’t pull that face, I don’t even know the guy I’m not gonna date him.
-If you say so… I’m still hoping to see some romance tho, from one of you two!
Violet sighed at Sarah’s comment, before asking her when she was gonna find someone. The pair bickering once again. Seems like the great hall was their favorite place to do so.
-Anyways, we should eat guys, next is flying lessons and we’re gonna need some strength believe me.
We all agreed at Sarah’s comment and decided to dive in our plates and get our stomachs full, but not to much, it’ll be better if I don’t throw up and embarrass myself in my first flying class.
The training stadium was great at this time of the year, a little breeze was making our hair slightly dance and was bringing freshness. We each grabbed a broom and walked in direction of professor Hooch, ready to start the class.
-Okay everybody, welcome to your first class of flying of this year, I’m excepting you to behave as well as to stay focused once in the air since accidents happen quickly. We are gonna learn how to do a roll. Miss y/l/n, I heard that you already learned it in Beauxbâtons?
All eyes were suddenly focused on me from both Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs and it took me quite a second before focusing back on the teacher and answering her.
-Hum, yes, we’ve haven’t learned diving neither loopings but we did learn how to roll.
-Perfect then, can you do a demonstration and maybe help students who aren’t comfortable on their brooms?
-Yes professor of course.
I slowly advanced in front of the group, not comfortable myself in giving a demo, rolling was something I only did a few times last year and I hadn’t flown on a broom since then.
I sat and quickly breathed out, trying to ease my stress before launching. The roll was pretty quick to do and I thanked my muscle memory for remembering how to do it well.
I landed back on the ground, silence overtaking the class before professor Hooch started talking again.
-Wonderful y/n! You fly great, you should start thinking about applying to be in the Quidditch team, 10 points for Hufflepuff.
I turned around to meet the proud faces of Violet and Sarah, smiling at me like proud moms and showing me their thumbs. I went back to them before thanking our teacher, and the lesson started.
Some students started trying, failing most of the time on the first attempt which was normal. All except one. I was looking up the sky when I saw a Gryffindor failing once, before successfully doing a roll and landing on the ground. Yang Jungwon.
Professor Hooch felicitated him, also giving points to his house before also telling him to help the other. The hour went on with me trying to explain to Violet how to do a roll without her breaking her neck and she actually did! I jumped in her arms when she landed, proud of her. Sarah on the other side did her first roll twenty minutes ago and didn’t stop since then.
-Sarah!!!
Both Violet and I screamed from the floor. She came to us, her hair in all places and her cheeks as red as the Gryffindors ties.
-What?
-Stop going around like that you’re gonna throw up.
She laughed and came back down, realizing that we were probably right. Miss Hooch whistled and the class was dismissed and allowed to go. Violet and Sarah were ahead of me when I noticed my shoelace was untied, I crouched to tie it back, telling them they could go again and I’d join them in the library in a few minutes. When I stood up again, something hard crashed in my back, or rather someone. I quickly turned around to apologize, when I came face to face with none other than the dark haired Gryffindor boy.
-Oh, hum, I’m sorry, I didn’t see that you were coming.
He just looked at me with an expression I quite didn’t recognize before getting back to normal and continuing walking.
-Do you never talk?
I asked him smiling even tho he couldn’t see it. He stopped in his tracks, and mumbled something, probably choosing whether to answer or not. After a few seconds, he turned back to me and came closer.
-What exactly do you want me to say?
I don’t know how to explain it but he sounded exactly like how he looked, if that makes sense.
-I don’t know, anything. Are you just gonna stare at me and go away each time we meet?
-Do you want me to start a conversation, to be my friend? Because that’s not gonna happen.
-Ouch okay, hum rude. Anyways, pleased to meet you.
And this time I was the one to go away, passing him before muttering a quiet ‘shithead’ that I hope he didn’t hear.
When I arrived in the corridor, I realized that I actually didn’t know were the library was. I was about to go full on exploration mode when I noticed a familiar figure approaching me. I sighed and mentally cursed, before the person was right in front me.
-Hey, hum, y/n right? We share potion class, I’m Cole.
-Hum, yeah. Would you tell me where the library is please?
-Yeah of course no problem, I could take you there if you want.
He said smiling with a weird look in his eyes, and I wondered for a moment in what sense he meant it. I was suddenly not feeling really comfortable in his presence.
-No it’s fine I’ll go alone.
-Sure?
-Yes sure.
-Alright, it’s on the first floor.
-Thanks.
I continued walking when he stopped me, grabbing my arm. What the fuck. I tried to distance myself a bit for him to stop holding onto me, and he did, thank god.
-I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me sometime, you know, get to know each other.
-I’m not sure I’ll have time for that.
I answered distancing myself again, trying not to sound like I was lying, even if I was.
-Or we could grab lunch together if you think-
-I don’t think she wants to see you at all Cole.
Interrupted a voice. I looked over Cole’s shoulder to see none other than Jungwon, leaning on the wall only a few meters away from us.
-Jungwon! Nice to see you again.
I honestly didn’t think I’d say that one day but I was actually pleased to see him right now. At least he knew how to read the room.
-Can’t you see the girl’s not interested?
-How would you know that? I believe you don’t have a lot of experience with girls.
-No need to have to understand she doesn’t want you unless if it’s five feet away from her. And if by saying that to me, you imply that you have experience with girls, sorry to break it to you but harassing doesn’t count.
Cole didn’t answer but just fixed him and I thought for a moment he was gonna punch him in the face, but the tension was broke when we heard footsteps approaching.
-There you are! We started getting worried when we saw you weren’t arriving.
Sarah said, before looking between the three of us, surely noting the weird atmosphere.
-On time. I said quietly only for me to hear.
I joined them and looked back one more time, seeing Jungwon going back to the stadium. I’m gonna have to thank him later.
-What was that all about?
Asked Violet.
-Why don’t we go to our room, we’ll go to the library after I explained you guys.
And with that, we were on our way to our dorm.

One Piece Advent Calender Door 24
Door 24: Christmas Eve
Morning dawned at the Cabin, everyone awake, some still sleepy but the others mostly awake. “So is it Christmas?”, asked Chopper. “No, tomorrow. Today is Christmas eve. The day before the actual feast”, explained Robin. “Perhaps we should go to the Sunny. I fetch us some nice warm breakfast there”, admitted Sanji.
“One ham sandwich for me”, Luffy raised his arm happily sanji and Nami smirking with his back to him before they walked out. Nami brought the key back and you all went to town.
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!”, Usopp screamed as he saw the sheer mass op people. “Christmas Eve. Today the last things are gonna be bought, stuff picked up and then they all go home, spending time with their friends and family”, you admitted with a soft smile. “Christmas is crazy”, admitted Zoro with a loud yawn. “Just like us, so it´s perfect”, you admitted and Jinbe, Brook and Luffy laughed.
Once back on the Sunny, you helped Sanji prepare breakfast before you all st down. “Now, dig in”, the cook said as ”...where is the meat?”, asked Luffy. “Today is no meat”, said Nami. ”...what do you mean?” “As we stated yesterday today gives no meat. At all”, smirked Sanji. The color from Luffy drained as he collapsed on the table, sliding off his chair to the ground. “A bit drastic, don´t you think?”, admitted Usopp.
“my meat...I want my precious meat” “Tomorrow”, said Sanji. “So what will we eat tonight?”, asked Zoro. “Fish”, you smiled and Usopp looked happy. “Fish, really?!” “Yes” “With a super burger!” “Also no burger. Contains meat”, said Nami and the Cyborg was all stiff. “Like nothing at all?!” “Nothing at all”
Nami and Sanji clearly enjoyed the torture of the crew. “What about dessert?”, asked Chopper. “Well, I´ve never seen or heard of a dessert with meat so-” The doctor breathed out, which made you chuckle. “Luffy, come on and eat”, you said. “MA MEAT!”, he began to whine. “Yohohoho, Luffy-san is depressed” “You survive one day without meat”, admitted Sanji. “Je, pls. Meat”, Luffy robbed to you, his head now in your lap, looking so broken at you.
You inhaled and looked forward, contine to eat. “JE! Look at me! Don´t you care if I die!? I thought you love me!!!” “I do, hun”, you looked at him and were meet with THE MOST KICKED PUPPY EYES. “NO!”, Nami used her staff to smack Luffy from your lap.
At the end, he ate the stuff, still sad about his non meat. You helped Sanji in the kitchen, preparing most of the stuff for tomorrow, as well for tonight. While everyone got something else to do, Luffy rested on your bed, along with Soma, Looking at your wish list. “No meat...I won´t survive today” Your dragon nudged him, giving him a few licks on his cheek that made him smile. “Thanks!”, he beamed. ”...So HUNGRY!!!!”, he whined out, holding his growling stomach. looking at him, Soma took off.
You soon came with a big bowl into your room, his stomach sounded like it was dieing. “I heard you´re hungry” “YES! I demand my meat!” He said and you sat next to his legs. “Well, I have no meat but food” Directly he sat up and looked at the bowl. “What is this?” “toasted bread cubes with butter. You can have all if you want” “JE!”, hugging your waist, you laughed. “You still love me!” “Of course I do. I always do. So, you want-” It was taken from your grasp and Luffy began to munch on them, a content smile on his lips.
Evening soon arrived and the table was fully decked with stuff, from fish to mashed potatoes, cabbage and different little things to snack on. And as Sanji sat down, all began to take food, eating and smiling, and even Soma ate with you. “This feels like a real family gathering”, admitted Franky. “Yes, it does”, you smiled and saw how Luffy ate so much, you were sure he would burst. “The fish is nice”, smiled Usopp happily. “I like the peaches!”, beamed Chopper. “All this stuff is nice!”, smiled Franky.
It was just after dinner, the sun long gone and all of you went outside, faint music was heard from the town, and you all just admired the scenery, snowflakes softly falling around the ship. “What is that?”, asked Zoro and motioned with his head under the tree. “Why, chistmas presents” “PRESENTS?!”, Luffy, Chopper and Usopp leaped to them. “TOMORROW!” Nami and Sanji kicked them hardly while the rest laughed. “So...can I have meat?”, Luffy asked you, arms around your waist and you sighed with a smile. “Ha~ Fine. I make you something” He beamed brightly, tugging you away from the others.
