Zora gives a slight nod and hum in agreement with Michi's statement. "I can understand that. Something about being too dedicated to one realm - can leave one totally ignorant and limited when it comes to so many possibilities. And I thought creating was really about exploring so many options. "
Maybe not to some people - but that is why Z doesn't quite care for everyone's work. It's become quite obvious to them when they see some with a very limited vision.
Zora continues to build out the infrastructure and figurines with more colors and details. As they had different materials, they are letting the varying textures contrast and play with each other.
"I tend to agree. What's the point of being a creative if not to go on the journey of expanding, testing yourself and figuring out what places are just beyond what you already know..."
"Some people are just too rigid in their art process, in my opinion." She explains, adding more felt to her piece. "I'm all for having your own style, your own niche...that's important too...but if you are not free to explore other avenues of an art piece, then what are you doing?"
Her felt piece so far is in the shape of a stomach— or, well, that's what she's going for. To the outside world it might as well be a blob. Hopefully soon and with a little more peach-colored felt she could make it work; she's got an idea going.
Some yarn is grabbed, red, yellow and pink strands being singled out, which she then began to braid together. "I feel that, as an artist, you should never allow yourself to remain stagnant. One collection cannot become your sole body of work. We should always be evolving, progressing."

Zora continued to holder Ziva, making sure their touches and caresses are supportive and gentle.
"Hm, yeah - that would be really nice wouldn't it? For it to genuinely just pause for a little while."
"Good, good, good," Ziva tucked her head into their shoulder and took a deep breath. "I'm so tired, the world needs to stop spinning for like five minutes. Maybe ten."

"Ah well, there are side effects of saying things you don't mean. Sometimes you can come back from that - but a lot of the time, you really can't. " At least Dylan seems to want to consider changing that a little bit. "That might make things easier for you and those you want to talk to."
Zora looked around and then back at him - noticing the way that he was clearly very wary of his surroundings. "I mean.. I probably would have gotten around to seeing the studio in spite of the murders eventually. But I will admit I needed some space after all the time you were talking - cause I wasn't sure if I was uh in a place for that to be constantly what I am negotiating when chatting with you."
Zora had made a point not.. to really spend too much time around Dylan. Not that he was a bad person necessarily, but they weren't really sure if they wanted to get caught up in yet another conversation where they barely could get a word in - nevertheless have a break where they could actually think.
So by the time they ran into him again inadvertently, it does take some effort from Zora not to seem overtly.. concerned at this prospect of interacting again.
"I .. I don't know if you're commenting in general or when it comes to why I hadn't really taken up your offer to stop by the studio."
"Oh, it has to do with something I think I might have done or said to a friend but I'm not sure what that was that made them mad enough to stop talking to me then again I'm always saying something that I don't mean to and insulting someone." Dylan comes over and sits down beside them, giving Zora a thoughtful look "I guess I need to think about what I say sounds like before I say it and that people know when I'm making a joke." He shakes his head then looks out over the park, running his eyes from person to person wondering if any of them was the one killing the dancers from the studio.
"I had thought that you might come and see the place to make sure whether you wanted the classes or not but you never did so I figured that all the time that I spent talking the last time kind of ran you off of the whole thing or maybe you had heard about the murders at the studio and decided not to chance it." Dylan tilts his head to the side when a bird chirps in a tree close to him and he jumps, bumping into Zora "Sorry about that, I'm just a little paranoid about the whole thing."

which subtle way of saying 'i love you' are you?
doing things for them without being asked to
you're observant and you know your loved ones so well, you know when to do things for them without having to ask (or be asked) what they need. they don't always know how much you do for them; there's no need pointing it out, you're just happy to help. you do things simply to make others feel better and lighten their burdens, and expect nothing in return: their happiness is enough for you, even if they don't always know you're the one who caused it. still, as good as it might feel to give and give and keep on giving, please allow them to do things for you in return. people feel better when they're being helpful (you should know this, more than anyone) and no matter how hard it might feel for you to accept help from someone, you should take it when they readily give it to you. you deserve to be loved in the way you love them, too. you won't be a burden -- and remember: a real friend will love you even when you're not constantly being useful, because your company is more than enough.

"Guess I can be. Kind of easy to happen when someone's so.. insistent on returning my help with this kind of attention." They were certainly planning on getting around to that fresco, but this art of contact in the public was another kind of display.
One that did oddly give them a strange rush.
"I'll get around to the creation.. I certainly will. But for now, they will certainly know it's all been you working me up this way."
"You are such a perv you know?" She asked. "Here I am asking you to come to make a renaissance fresco." Another nice rip. "And I am just dicking you down in public where everyone can see~" She smirked. "And they'll know when you're dripping semen down your thighs the Queen fucked you~"

Zora chuckles a little bit at Ziva's comment about them being a very high person. They just give her a gentle little squeeze in response to their statement.
"I'm not high right now.. but I do get what you mean. The sentiment is deeply appreciated, Ziva."
"I always think highly of you, you're a very high person." Ziva mumbled, sinking further into that embrace as Zora continued to hold her. Then realizing what she said and grumbling a little, turning so that she could bury her face in their shoulder, "I mean, you're not high, not right now anyway, I don't think. Are you high? Nevermind, you know what I meant."

Brave? Foolish, ridiculous? Perhaps there were a number of words that could be used for Zora letting Grus get so near. But they felt more open and determined than anything else. Such a connection with him was genuinely unexpected, but that didn't make it any less meaningful.
Despite all the feeling of knowing the true nature of his work and all that entails.
"You're very welcome. Well.. I'm glad to share this.. niceness with you. Maybe it's not deserved in your opinion but it's what I'm willing to have with you anyway."
They speak of risks and his smile widens. They were so brave, he thinks, to take a chance on him and let him close. Grus knew he could never hurt a hair on Zora's head, that there was not one malicious bone in his body— but it must still be hard, to hold the hands of one who hurt others, even if it was never done with cruelty.
But thankfully, his job is far from his mind now. "Thank you." A kiss, soft and almost hesitant is pressed to their forehead. "It is nice. Nicer than I ever thought I deserved.

Zora isn't exactly sure the circumstances in which, Didi would use that biting ability - but given that she seems almost eager to use it, they couldn't be surprised at it being more often than one would .. really wish for it to be.
"...Thanks? Thanks." They are.. going to choose to take that as a compliment although they are still feeling a little uncertain about the tone.
"But anyway.. you're welcome. Indeed, it's very impressive. I don't think I do know someone so ..incredibly ready to do that either. "
In some instances, say if faced with an attacker of sorts, that behavior may very well come in handy. It's just not a scenario that's happened yet— in fact, it seemed that the more likely scenario is that someone annoys Didi to the point she feels there is no better reaction to the offense then trying to bite a chunk of their flesh off and spit it back at them.
"Exactly, hm. Your intentions are good and pure and I love that for you." She loves being complimented even more though.
Didi beams. "Thank you— it is rather impressive, no? I bet you don't know anyone else who could do that." With such indifference, she means.

"....Well, certainly good luck with that." As much as Zora kind of wanted an explanation, given what they had already experienced being around 2D, it might not be remotely worth getting any more information out of him.
For someone who is usually intrigued by stories that could be a lot, too much to bear - Zora found themself a lot more limited in terms of what they were willing to take in. Maybe they just needed to establish a line in the sand about what they could carry with them along with their own established history and struggles.
"I.. I think if one was going to duck out of here, this isn't a bad time to do it. If one moves fast it can be a good opportunity to really lose these individuals at least for a while in your case."
"It's...it's a lot," he warns. "What I've got going on. And-and my family's making things harder." Per usual.
The reality? Murdoc failed to pay the rent on their little "cult compound" studio facility. The remains of their rival neighbors immediately took up the colors of The Last Cult upon the collapse of their leadership and, naturally, the desire to prepare its Lamb- 2D, who else?- for eventual slaughter. Murdoc swears that bit was metaphorical, but the newcomers don't all seem to agree- especially now that their Lamb has seen the divine and lived to tell the tale. To bring in more funds, they need 2D playing ball, and he's not game to be captive again after Plastic Beach. Worse, said divine hasn't left him alone in many years now, but the connection with Pazuzu is growing stronger in recent months.
It's too much- not just a lot. If only Murdoc weren't out of town- then he'd be able to make a plan to avoid this mess.
"I walked," he admits. "Got my transit pass, though. You think it's safe to duck out of here?" He glances into his bag- five lemons left. Maybe he can hold off on the juice and use them for a cake...come to think of it, the perfect excuse is coming up.

[FACE PAINT]
Make-up, while something Zora had managed to get good at, always felt like a different kind of artistry in their experience.
But if Ziva was going to trust them with her face makeup, they were going to do their best and make sure that she looked good. They were determined to make that happen.
"Alright.. keep still, just making sure these colors really pop." They are doing a little blending to make sure the desired effect really comes together.
"I do really think you're going to look incredible.. if I don't.. speak too boldly of myself."

[ COLD ] for sender to give receiver their gloves or scarf because it’s chilly. ( from jaemin )
Spending time with Jaemin was something that Zora deeply enjoyed. And the feeling of the cool autumn air was quite refreshing as far as they concerned.
It was starting to get even cooler after the pair had been out for a long enough walk. So when they felt a scarf being wrapped around their neck, Z glanced at JM with a shy little grin on their face.
"You worried about me keeping warm or something? This.. this does feel really nice thought. "

[ PUMPKIN SPICE ] for the sender and receiver to share a pumpkin spice latte. ( from hana )
Zora had been glad to indulge in some seasonal activities with Hana. It was a good way to enjoy all the kind of treats that were available around this time of year.
So when the pair had gotten a pumpkin spice latte, Z found themself genuinely curious about how it would taste.
"Would you believe that I hadn't really had a pumpkin spice latte before? I generally tend to go for more.. apple themed drinks around this time. But this sounds like it might be delicious. "

Zora was glad to finally get the silence that they needed. Sometimes continuing to talk when they were already having a hard time with words only served to irritate them even more. And they didn't really want to take out my discomfort on Hope - so it was truly for the best that they were able to get a little bit of quiet.
It's that quiet that leaves them willing to actually talk when they are ready to do so. "i appreciate that you get that. I really do." It's nice that they had the room to actually let the feelings settle that much more.
"Right, people need room and accommodations for the kind of adjustments.. and recovery that they need on their own time. It's part of potentially being close to others. "
Hope nods along to Zora's words. They can understand that. "Okay," They say with a small smile. Then they stay silent. Their eyes are full of concern when Zora groans but they say nothing, giving their friend the silence they had asked for.
Hope can be patient when they need to be. And this seems to be one of those times. Zora needs silence, and though Hope doesn't fully get why, they respect their wishes. So Hope just waits patiently for Zora to be ready to speak again. Hope themself won't break the silence. That's all up to Zora.
When Zora speaks again, Hope smiles softly. "That's understandable. Everyone deals with things differently." Their words had meant to be comforting, but they can understand wanting to allow the frustration to dissipate over time. That definitely makes sense to Hope.
Everyone has their own ways of dealing with things when they come up, and Hope can understand why Zora needs to deal with things the way that works for them. It's not a one size fits all kind of thing. And Hope can respect that though Zora's methods might be different from their own, Zora is doing what works for them. And that is alright with Hope. "And what works for me and others might not work for you. Definitely can understand that. It's in no way a one size fits all kind of thing." Everyone is unique, and so are their ways of dealing with issues.

Zora made a point to hold Ziva so closely, knowing full well that she could sue this kind of embrace. They chuckled a little bit and kissed her shoulder in response to being told that they were Ziva's favorite.
"Well, I'm certainly glad that you think so highly of me."
