You took deep breaths through your nose as Rafe instructed, lashes fluttering at the foreign and indescribable feel of his cock sliding between your wet folds. Your knees touched your chest, the soles of your feet pressed against Rafe’s own chest, and when you looked up at him, you found his gaze focused on where he disappeared into you.
When your brother came up from Kildare County to visit you for the first time this semester…
This was not what you had in mind.
Blood related or not, Rafe had never been anything but the older brother you were blessed with when your mom married his dad all those years ago. He was a little rough around the edges—always had been—and you knew that his behavior with you was the exception, not the norm, but it never occurred to you that his reasoning behind that went beyond familial affection. Why would it?
He treated you like any normal brother would.
He scared off boys who were a little too bold with their interest in you, he sometimes let you sleep in his bed when the thunder outside got to be too much, and he didn’t think twice about picking you up from some party you weren’t supposed to be at. You knew he’d do the same for Wheezie if she asked. Sarah was the only exception for less than enviable reasons.
…maybe Ward’s favoritism of Sarah contributed to your own soft spot for Rafe.
Anyone with eyes could see it no matter how much Sarah liked to pretend otherwise, and there’d been so many times you felt sorry for the oldest Cameron. No, he wasn’t perfect by any means, and yes, sometimes he absolutely deserved the verbal lashing from Ward, but you’d be a fool to deny the absolute disregard Ward gave Rafe even when he did try.
Rafe just wasn’t anyone’s favorite.
…so he became yours.
“You’re doing good,” he murmured, pulling you out of your thoughts.
You blinked up at him, and his gaze lifted from your breasts to meet your gaze.
“Like this?” you breathlessly wondered, a hand on your chest, massaging a hardened bud between your fingers.
“Don’t ask me,” Rafe purred, his free hand joining yours. “Does it feel good?”
The nod you gave him was shaky, and you watched Rafe’s tongue dart between his lips. He dipped his hips a tad when he thrust into you, making you gasp at the feel of his cock hitting something inside of you that you didn’t know was there. When he shined the camera light in your face briefly, you turned your head.
“Sorry,” he choked out, but he didn’t sound all that sorry. “I’ll blur that out.”
His thrusts had your toes curling, and you pushed your feet against his chest.
“I don’t…I don’t want Ward or someone else to find this and know it was me,” you struggled to say, breath hitching when Rafe slammed into you.
Rafe replied after some time.
“Don’t worry, angel,” he whispered. “They won’t.”
Angel.
It was funny how a normal nickname that you were used to hearing all the time sounded so different, now. Of course, all the other times, Rafe had never been inside of you. He’d been dropping you off somewhere or convincing you to do the dishes instead or looking for you the minute he woke up at twelve in the afternoon. Now, with Rafe plunging his cock into you, the sound of it made you shudder.
“It’s kind of crazy how fitting that nickname is,” Sarah said one day. “…because I swear you’re the only one that can actually get Rafe to behave.”
You both chuckled at the comment, but now you were doing anything but laughing.
Your free hand trailed down to touch yourself, and Rafe made a noise of approval at the action.
His hand left your breast to cover yours between your legs, guiding your fingers and rubbing them over your bundle of nerves. The feeling—when combined with his thrusts—made you flutter around him, and Rafe let out a deep moan. It went straight to your stomach, loving the sound, and you looked up at him.
His gaze wasn’t on you anymore, and as you stared at him, you were surprised how weird you didn’t feel about this.
Going off to UNC had sparked varying reactions in your household. Rose was only happy for you, Wheezie too, but both Sarah and Ward held some concerns you never even knew they had. Something about your sheltered upbringing and wondering if you were ready. You’d been offended, of course. After all, going off to college had always been the plan and Ward knew that, so being treated like some child baffled you.
However, you were even more baffled when Rafe didn’t back you up.
“What do you mean?” you’d asked him the day you got your acceptance letter. “You don’t want me to go…?”
Even though Rafe was silent for a long time, you could see it on his face.
He didn’t want you to go.
“It’s so far-.”
“It’s four hours,” you’d interrupted, in disbelief that Rafe of all people was not on your side.
“It’s far enough.”
You remembered thinking how much he resembled a child—pouting—and you’d huffed. You hadn’t been able to stop the tears from kissing your eyes, and you’d folded your arms over your chest.
“Why aren’t you happy for me?” you’d asked in a small voice.
That had Rafe looking up, and you didn’t miss the way his face fell with one look at your own.
“I am,” he’d assured you. “I’m so happy for you, but… What if something goes wrong? What if some asshole gets too aggressive with you? I’m not going to be there to pick you up from parties and hold your hand when a hurricane comes through.”
You’d looked down, shifting on your feet.
“I know that, Rafe…but I’m an adult, now. I have to figure things out for myself.”
You could tell he hadn’t liked that answer, but despite how much Rafe made it clear that he didn’t want you to go, he did help you pack before the semester started. He’d also helped you move in with Ward and Rose’s help, surprising them both.
“Don’t think I won’t be dropping in unannounced.”
Rose had scolded him that day, but you’d only rolled your eyes. You were used to Rafe’s protectiveness, and as much as you desired independence, you couldn’t deny how much you enjoyed the thought of Rafe visiting you on campus.
…and visit you, he did.
It was almost admirable, really, the way he managed to swoop in at some of the most inconvenient times. The night you were considering going to some party or the night you’d gotten locked out of your house or the time your roommate had guys over. The memory of that evening still weighed on your chest, recalling the way Rafe hovered and the way the guy you were supposed to be set up with was forced to keep his distance.
“You were scaring him,” you’d whined later that night.
“…and you want a guy that jumpy?” he’d snorted, taking off his shirt and relaxing on your bed.
Rafe had overstayed his welcome and had no choice but to stay the night. Granted, a hotel was always an option, but you would’ve felt shitty making him book a hotel when you had a perfectly fine queen-sized bed.
“If some chump is that intimidated by your big brother, then he isn’t the one for you,” he’d whispered in the dark as you faced him. “You’re the kind of girl who needs looking after.”
The words had soured in your mind, and you hadn’t responded.
You hated that Rafe saw you that way—that almost everyone did—but it was only some months later when you were forced to admit that maybe Rafe was right. Being so far away from home for an extended period of time for the first time in your life clearly got to your head. You found yourself confronted with so much temptation and opportunities.
Before you knew it, you’d maxed out two credit cards and was struggling to make ends meet with the extra money Ward and Rose were sending you. The day your payment was declined while in some fancy store was burned into your brain, and you hadn’t even realized how much debt you’d collected until you were on the phone with a representative from the company.
The whole situation sucked, but more than anything, it sucked that you proved everyone right.
Especially Rafe.
So, when he unexpectedly showed up on your doorstep this morning, you wanted to be sick.
“Rafe,” you’d breathed. “I didn’t know you were coming.”
The blond had silently stood at your door, expression unreadable, and it had taken him a minute to finally reply.
“You never know I’m coming,” he’d drawled, brushing by you. “What makes this time so different?”
“No reason,” you’d hurried to say.
You suspected then that he caught onto something being wrong, but you’d forced yourself to write it off. Despite engaging in conversation with you, you hadn’t missed the way Rafe strode about your place, those blue eyes of his taking everything in with an attention to detail you weren’t used to.
“So, why are you here?” you’d wondered.
Your question gave him pause, and you hadn’t missed the glint in his eyes then.
“What…?” he’d asked, nearing you. “I can’t drop in on my baby sister and see how she’s doing?”
He’d held your gaze with an intensity you weren’t used to, and you’d looked away.
“No, of course, you can. I was just…curious.”
You should’ve known that Rafe knew more than he let on when he opened your fridge and merely hummed at the lack of food in it. For obvious reasons, you didn’t protest when he suggested ordering food, and it was when you found yourself leaning against the counter with a handful of pizza did he finally drop the bomb.
“You’re lucky I pay more attention to the mail than they do.”
His biting words were accompanied with the slam of a few envelopes on the counter, and your heart dropped when you realized what they were—credit card statements. His hands on the counter caged you in, but you could hardly move anyway with how much shock you were in, flipping through them all with parted lips.
It didn’t take him long to start tearing into you.
“I knew this was a bad idea. I knew that at the very least, I should’ve moved up here with you,” he’d sneered.
“Are you going to tell Ward?” you’d tearfully asked him. “If he knew how much I messed up he’d cut me off so fast.”
“He probably should,” Rafe had told you with a frown, making your tears spill over.
He’d softened some at the sight of them, and you’d collapsed on the couch.
“I didn’t even realize I’d been spending so much,” you cried to him. “…and I keep trying to get a job to fix this but I just can’t get hired anywhere.”
At your rambling, Rafe had knelt before you, his hands on your knees as he shushed you. You’d struggled to hold his gaze as he wiped your face, trying to calm you down. When your breathing settled some, Rafe took your hand.
“I can’t imagine you behind somebody’s counter, anyway,” he’d softly said, thumb grazing your skin. “Breaking your back and coming home exhausted. You need to be focused on school.”
“…but Rafe-.”
His hand gently landing on your mouth had you swallowing your words, and you’d blinked at him as he traced patterns into your skin.
“Look, I know how to get you money—plenty of it and fast.”
His words had given you pause, making you perk up some.
“…but you’ll have to trust me,” he’d murmured.
You did trust Rafe, with your whole heart, but his next words still made your heart drop.
“Rafe…I don’t think I can do this,” you found yourself whispering an hour or so later, swallowing at his gentle grip on your throat. “
…besides, we… I mean…”
You didn’t have to finish voicing your thoughts, troubled gaze meeting his.
“It’s just a little way to make you fast money. It’s not like anyone will know it’s us…” he’d murmured, lips brushing yours. “…and it’s not like we’ll be running the risk of accidentally having questionable children or something.”
You knew what he meant, understood what he was getting at, but it still felt…wrong to you. Or at least, like it should be. Rafe had never been anything other than the brother you met years ago, and here he was, kissing you and convincing you to let your first time be with him…and on camera, no less.
“People love that amateur porn shit,” were his oh so eloquent words.
Despite how you initially felt about it, you still found yourself on your back and bent at the edge of your bed while Rafe stood before you, phone in hand. His words of encouragement filled your ears as he circled your clit with his thumb, the head of his cock slowly pushing into you. He’d had his face between your thighs for some time before that, telling you he needed to get you nice and ready for him.
“Fuck, you’re tight,” he’d hissed as he continued to push his way into you.
When he was flush with you, both of your chests heaving, he finally acknowledged the elephant in the room.
“You okay, angel?”
It wasn’t as painful as you always expected it to be—you surmised that had more to do with Rafe than anything—but there was still a dull painful ache accompanied by the burn of being stretched out. At your shaky nod, Rafe merely gave you a half smile, leaning over to kiss you before straightening and starting a torturously slow pace.
“Do you hear how wet you are? Hmm?”
You could, and you might’ve been embarrassed if it weren’t for the look on Rafe’s face.
“So wet…and tight…and all mine,” he breathed, the phone light bright as it shone on where you greedily sucked him in with every thrust. “She’s dripping for me.”
You felt like you were in a blissful daze, lying there and taking his thrusts. Rafe had a way with words and making you squirm from more than just the feel of him stuffing you full.
“They’d pay big money to see me fill you up, angel.”
You slowly blinked at him, frowning slightly and not understanding him at first. However, when his free hand left your clit alone and instead reached for himself, realization hit you.
“Rafe…”
Your tone held warning, but Rafe pulled out anyway, a hand on his cock as he leaned in to press his lips to yours again. What a strange way for you to realize that not only did you like kissing, but you liked kissing Rafe.
“It’s going to look so good on camera,” he purred. “Just thinking about my cock twitching as I come inside of you…pulling out and watching it all drip out of that virgin pussy…”
The thought did have you clenching down on air.
“It’s your first time… You should know what that feels like—to get fucked raw.”
Your lack of protest boldened Rafe, and you felt out of control when the tip of him touched you again, only without latex between you this time. He was slow to slide into you, a groan escaping him the same time you moaned as you both basked in the feel of his bare cock fitting snugly inside of you. You threw your head back, and Rafe told you to keep touching your breasts.
You couldn’t deny the difference as he slowly rutted into you. The camera shined light on your stomach and chest and back down again as he moved the phone. His now powerful thrusts turned you into a wanton mess, absentmindedly massaging your nipples in time with his hips. Rafe’s free hand was on you again, rubbing your mound and folds and clit, occasionally spreading you further to really get a good look at the way his cock pushed into you.
The squelch of your core was loud, and you could feel the way you were dripping around him.
Your bed squeaked under the weight of his thrusts, and the feel of skin against skin was sending you both spiraling.
“I’m gonna come,” Rafe gasped, his thrusts sloppy and rough as he fucked himself into you.
You felt the same, but you couldn’t really voice it, too focused on trying to breathe despite the fast pace of your heart. When Rafe pressed a hand into your stomach, it sent you over the edge, and the feel of you tightening around him and clenching down on him had him coming too, spilling into you with a loud moan.
Rafe’s thrusts were lazy now as he fucked you both through your orgasms, hips slow as he pushed into you. He only stopped when he softened completely, slow to pull his cock out and drop to his knees. His free hand reached for you, a thumb and index finger on your lips as he spread them.
“Look at that,” you heard him murmur while you fought to catch your breath. “You took me so well, angel.”
One of your feet relaxed on the floor, now while the other rested on his shoulder.
“Push it out for me. Show them how well you milked my cock…”
You didn’t quite understand him, but you did what you thought he wanted you to do. To your surprise, you could feel him leaking out of you, and the noise Rafe made told you he was satisfied.
“Good girl,” he purred, pushing two fingers into you. “You take me so well, you know that?”
He leaned in and kissed your sore lips then, a hum escaping him as he straightened. The camera was now off, and the phone was tossed to the side, but Rafe’s lips still found yours with a moan. Your confusion must have been evident when he pulled away, because he reached up to drag his thumb over your mouth.
“We’ll need to make time to practice if we want the next one to be even better.”

i think it might be lost on some good omens fans who've either never been in a fandom before, or have only been in very big fandoms for that matter, how truly lucky we are.
we have new fan content to see at any time of day or night, no matter what else is going on in the world. there is a constant, and i do mean constant stream of new art, new fics, new meta, new gifs, new shitposts, new discussions, new video edits, new links to other websites where those things also exist... one could scroll through good omens tumblr all day, every day, and they wouldn't run out of new things to look at, due to the rate at which things are being produced, and the number of people who are producing them (i say this as someone who basically did this while recovering from top surgery back in 2023, when season 2 had not long come out). it would take a person an awfully long time to see all the good omens fan content there is to see, and that's just on this one platform.
most fandoms, for active media or not, cannot relate to this phenomenon. it's crazy, in the most wonderful way. i think we are this way bc we truly do have great source material, shot and performed by brilliant people, and therefore it is the kind of source material that attracts passionate, analytical obsessives (this is a compliment to all of us, not an insult!).
there'll come a time after s3 when things will slow down, i know that. so i want us to all appreciate how much we have now. at least once a day i stop and think about how grateful i am that this fandom became part of my life, and i hope you have that inclination too, at least once in a while.<3
but this doesn't happen by magic. you need to reblog, not just like; comment, not just leave kudos; share and rec, not just enjoy independently. with fandom, you get what you put into it, and the more you get involved the more fulfilment you'll get out of it. trust me on that<3

I wanted to talk about @pilferingapples ‘s autistic Fantine headcanon that has been brought up in the Les Mis Letters server because it has rewired my brain and the more I think about it the more I can see my own experiences as an autistic woman reflected in Fantine’s story.
Fantine is introduced as being an outsider amongst the other grisettes. I think Hugo’s intention here was to paint her as innocent and virtuous in comparison to them but the way it reads to me is that she is someone who just can’t quite connect with her peers. She is described as being dreamy and “always having a queer look about her” in the words of Favourite.
The way Fantine is treated by the other girls rings very true to me as an autistic woman in my experience with friendship. She does consider the other grisettes her friends yet they speak cruelly about her behind her back (Favourite saying she puts on airs) and to her face (Dahlia mocking her for crying over a dead horse). Yet she offers no resistance, in fact she barely seems to acknowledge these things as offensive, because that’s just what being friends is.
The friendship between the four grisettes is shown to be truly shallow when after Tholomyes’ “prank”, they all go their separate ways, with Hugo saying it was like they’d never been friends in the first place. Realistically, one of the few examples of female friendship in the brick being portrayed as shallow and catty is most likely down to some lingering misogyny on Hugo’s part but it is something I find relatable as someone who has allowed myself to be treated poorly by others because I thought that’s how friendship was supposed to be. I’m sure a lot of other autistic people can relate to this as well.
Additionally, I think it’s interesting how the other grisettes criticisms of Fantine come down to her not acting in the expected way and fitting in with group. Favourite accuses her of putting on airs because she won’t swing like the other girls (therefore let the men look up her skirt). Dahlia laughs at her for getting emotional over the dead horse because her emotions are tainting the happy outing they’re all having. Fantine being empathetic towards animals isn’t an inherently autistic trait by itself but her inability to suppress her emotions or just go along with what everyone else is doing is something I think a lot of neurodivergent people can relate to.
Her relationship with Tholomyes is probably the biggest example of Fantine not understanding unspoken social rules. I’m no history expert and people have definitely written more in depth posts on the relationships between upper class men and working class women in France in this period but from what I’ve gathered it was understood that these relationships were purely transactional. The men got sex and attention and the women got gifts and nice days out to places they couldn’t afford by themselves. There’s more nuance than that I’m sure but that’s the gist.
We know the other three grisettes are aware of this aspect of the relationship. They are eager to receive a “surprise”, an expensive gift they could later sell on. Favourite flatters her lover to his face and says all the things he expects of her but confesses to the other girls that she doesn’t like him because he isn’t playing his role of spending money on her.
Fantine is seemingly oblivious to all of this. Maybe it’s her ostracisation from the other girls that is keeping her ignorant or maybe she knows how it is for them but genuinely believes she and Tholomyes are different. Either way it’s clear to me that her and Tholomyes have very different ideas about their relationship and that subtext has not been picked up by Fantine. For the record, this is completely on Tholomyes, even if he’s supposed to be playing the expected role, leaving his mistress without any financial aid for their child together is bad even by the standards of the time. However Fantine is definitely naïve.
Also if you read Fantine as autistic, her reasons for being in love with Tholomyes make a lot more sense. From Hugo’s description, it doesn’t seem like Tholomyes has many redeeming features: he’s balding and missing teeth, he’s a student in his thirties and he is in poor health. Yet he pays attention to Fantine, he flatters her and spends money to keep her in a nice apartment.
If we assume that Fantine is autistic and has spent her life being an outsider, this onslaught of affection would lead her to let her guard down and believe that this is what love should look like. Even without the autism, Fantine was an orphan, she didn’t have any examples of what a marriage was supposed to look like growing up so how could she possibly resist a man who seems to be doing and saying all the right things?
I think my conclusion is it doesn’t really matter if you want to read Fantine as being autistic or not. I think all the factors I’ve outlined in this post can be explained by her upbringing and her still being very young during her relationship with Tholomyes rather than having to be neurodivergence. However, I think looking at Fantine through an autistic lense has given me a new appreciation for the character and being an outsider in society, a big theme in Les Mis, is generally a relatable sentiment for neurodivergent people and I think it’s interesting to explore that in the context of Fantine.

Two Amnesiac Archangels
Thoughts on Crowley’s memory of his fall and how it could relate to the finale.
SO.
Many of us have noticed that Crowley seems to have a hard time remembering why he fell:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a52a86c37da809506db767e35bd3aa6b/2e083c2380fcfc7d-35/s400x600/4ea590fead23038c644b4d042e14943253030286.jpg)
or anyone he knew during his time as an angel. For example, Furfur:
and Saraquel:
Saraquel: “Hello Crowley. I didn’t expect to ever see you again.”
Crowley: “Do we know each other?”
Saraquel: “When you were an angel. We worked together on the horse head nebula.”
We have on screen evidence from before the beginning of what likely got him into trouble (asking questions) as well as a few lines from the Metatron that likely solidify that evidence as true:
The Metatron, who probably has the most accurate information about Crowley’s fall, regardless of if he’s sharing it truthfully.
I noticed two lines in the companion to owls minisode where Crowley seems to emotionally impacted by someone being punished by god without knowing why and it got me thinking:
Crowley, to Job’s goats: “You should know why you’re about to die. God has abandoned you. The God who claims to love you, who demands your praise, has given you up to die. Bad luck.”
and then later on:
Job: “How sunk in sin must I be not only to deserve all this, but not even to know why.”
Crowley’s reaction:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a7d89f7b7bd9ff9e9fb09d1bc78bb007/2e083c2380fcfc7d-7b/s540x810/4dc01b86d4c01f321e2a68c878f4b908b229f7cc.jpg)
As we know, Jim’s memory was incredibly spotty. Sometimes the name Gabriel would be familiar to him, sometimes it wouldn’t. He remembered full lines from “Everyday” in one moment and then in the next, couldn’t remember if it was even a song that exists. Other times he remembered long quotes from God.
This scene to me reads as Crowley empathizing with Jim about his frustration with his memory:
Jim: “I feel like an empty house.”
Crowley: “A house?”
Jim: “Yes, a house where someone lived for a very long time but now they’re gone and the house can sort of tell where the things used to be. Like when I remembered how it all began.”
*Crowley tries to get Jim to remember more*
Jim: “I don’t know, I just…”
Crowley: “I know. Looking at where the furniture isn’t.”
The parallels just seem too strong to be coincidental. It seems like whatever heaven did to Gabriel’s memory they did to Crowley’s as well.
My guess is that on a good day, Crowley remembers that he was involved in creating the universe:
that he was punished for asking questions,
that he used to be a high ranking angel:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e81466d2e3ddd1c23a3eff981872c038/2e083c2380fcfc7d-a3/s640x960/2a7cd6f10b3a6d9c0fc460ab1bd703b8eac202d9.jpg)
and nothing else. Some days he might not even remember that much.
Now, back to Gabriel for a second. If heaven did something to Gabriel’s memory that allowed it to manifest in a form physical enough to place inside of container (the fly), is it possible that every angel’s memory that was wiped in that way is still physically in heaven somewhere?
It’s unclear if Aziraphale remembers who Crowley was as an angel.
We have lines from a companion to owls that indicate yes:
Aziraphale: “I know the angel you were.”
Crowley: “The angel you knew is not me.”
and the fact that they don’t recognize each other in Eden that would indicate no.
If Aziraphale truly assumes the supreme archangel role upon returning to heaven, he would have significantly more access to heaven’s files. Probably more access than Crowley had when he infiltrated the hive. Assuming he doesn’t already know, do we think Aziraphale might happen upon information about Crowley’s past in the finale? How much would it change how he feels about heaven? How he feels about Crowley? And how long can I truly wait to find out before I just write a fic about it?

Okay so I’m currently writing for my next chapter when it suddenly came to me! I totally forgot to ask and idk if you’ve answered this before.
But how would the yan kids react to watching their mom fall in love with Anthonius?
Like that has to be weird, right?! Watching ur mom fall in love with someone who isn’t ur dad or stepfathers?
Especially the girls since they’re kept away from boys and aren’t allowed to have boyfriends!
yaaaaay, can't wait for the new chapter! 🥰
as for ur question, i'll only answer eudorios and axiandros' reactions in more detail cuz i only have their personalities down so far 😅 everyone else will get a more general reaction, sorry 😢
eudorios is like a more unhinged version of his mommy so it won't kick in right away that his mommy's falling in love with another guy (he's just a lil dense guys, sorry, he inherited it from percy 🥺). ngl, he's probably gonna be the last kid to figure it out 😭😭
(just like how percy was the last person to realize anthonius liked her and that she actually liked him back 💀)
but when it finally clicks, he'll go:
eudorios: Oh! :)
and then he internally flips his shit 😭😭😭 he'll continue to watch it all happen with a ":)" on his face while crying, screaming, and shitting tears on the inside. the more he watches, the more he realizes that his TRUE enemy wasn't his father, or brothers, or half-siblings, or his mother's other husbands. no, it's ANTHONIUS. because he recognizes that soft look in her eyes, the genuinely happy grin on her face every time she's with anthonius. it's a look that's supposed to be reserved only for HIM, not some ugly mortal boy! and he's seething at the thought that ANTHONIUS was the first person to ever bring out that smile from her, and not him 💀💀💀
after watching, he'd probably rush to his room to scream into his pillow and everything like a dramatic teenage girl 😭😭😭😭 he'd sulk a bit and then rush out to go find his mother to demand more love from her 💀
for axiandros, he's gonna mentally pull up his shit list, place eudorios from #1 to #2, and put anthonius at the very top 💀💀💀💀💀💀 he's now genuinely concerned for his mother's taste in men because seriously???? did she just have a thing for losers???? first eudorios, and now a literal mortal boy???????
he cannot, for the life of him, understand WHY his mother would ever fall for anthonius. he acts like he knows better, he lets his emotions get in the way, he's rude and ill-mannered, he's a son of athena, he's pitifully WEAK, the list goes on and on.... 💀💀💀
then in comes the jealousy 💀💀💀💀💀 while eudorios is just like their mommy (but more crazy), axiandros is just like his daddy. his jealousy is icy-cold and seething, a sort of icy fury that everyone in the room can immediately sense. expect a lot of biting words and insults spoken in a ruthlessly cold tone, just like poseidon would. like father, like son after all!
as for the other sons, the incesty ones are, ofc, jealous af. but regardless of whether they're freaks or not, most are genuinely in disbelief that their mother had actually fallen in love with a mortal boy before, but there's also a lightbulb moment that goes in their head where they all think "ohhhhhh, so THAT'S why some of us have names related to wisdom!!!! 🤯"
they gotta admit tho, their mom had BALLS OF STEEL to name a child from each of her husbands after anthonius 😂😂
anyway, the more they watch her life, the more they finally start to understand why mother's so kind and loving towards humans. they knew that she was once a mortal (which is still hard for them to wrap their head around, cuz they always saw her as the perfect goddess and mortals are just so... not), but actually SEEING her live her life as one is a whole different thing entirely!
as for the daughters, many of them are wide-eyed and silently side-eying each other cuz ooooooh the DRAMA 😂😂😂😂 but aside from that, they're very curious. most of these girls are either super sheltered (percades and sécy kids), or they're just too used to godly culture (which is all the kids). would their mother marry this boy?? was he mother's first husband? why is she so close to someone that she's not married to? why does she let him touch her, get close to her, why are they ALWAYS together?? isn't that improper????
lmao, so while some of the sons are seething with jealousy, the daughters are getting a culture shock basically 😂

PART TWOOOO....
Elphaba, she's used to being treated as an outsider, to being ostracised, she's been treated that way her whole life, but she's still human and no matter how tough she tries to be, it still hurts to be outlasted simply because of how you appear and let me just say, casting a woman of color, well a black woman for this role just made it feel more real, I mean this is a feeling I imagine POC can relate to really well....
How she is being judged and ostracised by community, but is somehow being blamed for it, (like it's her own fault she's different) when she's the one being hurt....
Another feeling I know black women, well women of color relate too is feeling, should I say inadequate(?) in comparison to white women, I mean the beauty standard is never in our favor...
Also how Elphaba has to constantly be aware of the fact that she is different, she can never really blend in anywhere, she always stands out, always has to act differently from everyone else because her being different follows her everywhere, standards for what is acceptable is always different for her...
There's also something that doesn't sit right with me about how her talents are exploited by someone she grows to trust, and then she's blamed for something she was manipulated into, painted as a criminal weaponising her skin against her.....

I NEED ANDRE AND CAL HCS!
Sure thing !! Hope you like! :3
General Andre and Cal Headcanons,,
Calvin tends to “tune out” Andre’s words whenever he’s explaining instructions to him— whether it be related to their Zero Day plans, board game rules, or other related topics. He frequently goes “Huh?” or “Hmmh?” when he’s not paying attention, to which Andre has to remind him about the topic and repeat his words over again. But he knows that Calvin can’t help it, and he generally doesn’t mind reminding him about different things— like homework, tests, etc. considering he has a better memory than Cal.
Andre and Cal watch malware-infested gore videos to further desensitize themselves to death and to sort of mentally prepare for Zero Day, and for the sake of watching people die. With the lack of concern yet interest in Cal’s eyes, Andre is both a little surprised, yet mostly unsurprised that Calvin reacts so indifferently to shock videos. He’d be a hypocrite if he labeled it as unsettling, after all. Their repeated pattern of watching these sorts of torture videos— especially when Cal can find “good ones” (in his words) at least— stemmed from the discovery of a website that showcased the aftermaths of car accidents. And after doing a little digging, Cal stumbled upon the leaked cartel videos section. He introduced the videos to Andre, and the other teen found himself getting intrigued by such graphic matter. Calvin describes the grislier videos as the “good videos”.
Calvin can definitely be a bit emotionally manipulative during arguments. Whenever Andre is provoked, grows visibly enraged, and blurts something out he doesn’t mean, Cal uses this to somewhat control Andre. And when he definitely wants to win the argument, he threatens to tell Andre’s cousin, his absent brother, or his parents about what he said. Andre may or may not care, since it really depends on why they’re bickering. But usually, he does care, and even though he tries not to let Cal influence his behaviors, especially during these negatively-charged moments, he doesn’t want anyone to find out about what he said— and definitely not family. Because in his eyes, this may raise suspicion and could result in their peers finding out about Zero Day. When he does decide to grow quiet, Cal is like, “Yeah, so shut the fuck up.” But his exploitative tactics don’t always work, and they could further influence Andre’s emotions.
Andre rarely apologizes when he means it. He kinda just says “Sorry,” after bumping into someone out of habit. He was taught to be respectful, but 90% of the time he doesn’t care about what he did wrong. Even during arguments, when Calvin is trying to state how he fucked up, Andre will tell him to get over it. Most of the time, he does care about aspects of their dynamic that do matter. But in some moments, he won’t, and he’ll just kept doing whatever it is he’s doing. To elaborate, if Cal told him to control himself and to stop being “dramatic”, Andre wouldn’t take him into consideration and would turn the tables by criticizing him about something he cares about and Cal doesn’t.
Calvin and Andre share clothes sometimes. To Cal, seeing Andre in his clothes is quite flattering. Andre thinks rings are cool, too, so he’ll wear them occasionally. Also, he likes to wear Cal’s bracelets and necklaces to feel closer to him, on top of matching dog tags with him.
Andre is an energy drinker. His favorite is Red Bull. Cal drinks a lot of soda and prefers Coca-Cola or Mountain Dew over anything else. While Calvin does enjoy having an energy drink sometimes, often sharing a Red Bull with Andre as energy drinks contain a lot of caffeine, he doesn’t really drink them on his own time.
When Andre and Cal first started planning Zero Day, as they began to practice handling their guns and shooting, they would frequently argue about the correct order and anatomy of the firearm parts they were using. Chris had to step in a couple times to calm them down. Cal insisted that he was right, while Andre insisted that he was right. In general, they have a hard time accepting that either one of them could be right— about anything, really, with the two determined to prove the other wrong and to “get on their high horse”. However, it isn’t uncommon for both boys to end up being wrong, especially if the conflict is similar to their gun-related issues.

It really fucking sucks as someone who likes both Steve AND Jonathan, but sometimes the fandom lowkey makes me hate Steve - whether it's by demonizing Jonathan/attributing his best tributes solely to Steve, or by wildly mischaracterizing him.
Yes!
Steve has his own, entirely valid, good qualities, many of which he actually shares with Jonathan: being brave, protective and loyal.
He's also practically intelligent and observant (realising the recording was coming from inside the mall), and he's done what a lot of young lads do. He was a bit of an arsehole in high school, and now he's grown up and grown out of that behaviour.
What that means is that he's a fairly ordinary kid. That's the whole point-he's the normal small-town boy who ends up doing battle with interdimensional monsters.
Jonathan, by contrast, gets so much hate because he's not ordinary. He is primed for the Upside Down. He's not ready for what happens to Will...but he's been expecting things to go wrong his whole life because they always have. When the GA calls him weird, or ugly, or boring, what they really mean is 'I can't relate to what he's been through so I don't have any sympathy for him'.
He's intelligent, sharp, witty, spiky, strong and compassionate. He has a moral centre because his father never did. He's a dad before he's a high-school grad; a mother's helper before he gets to be a child. This is the young man who organised his little brother's funeral, and still made sure his mother ate. This is the young man who had his spine cracked wide with a surgical stool, and tried to save his girlfriend through the pain.
This is a man who (probably without fully realising) limits his own choices because he's determined to expand his little brother's.
The constant erasure of Jonathan's complexities-his constant relegation to the background by large swathes of the fandom-hurts, because that's exactly what happens to kids like him. To kids like me.
Jonathan is different by design. The whole Byers family (sans Lonnie) is different by design. They are the ones best equipped to deal with all of this because they know the darkness that lies beneath normal life. It's not a shock or a surprise to them. The whole concept of the show is about a family that's been beaten down by people who don't care to understand, responding to the Upside Down in a way only they can.
Jonathan doesn't get to have the redemption arc Steve does, because (aside from the photo debacle) he doesn't need one. He doesn't need to grow up, because he's already had to. His outlook on life is more mature, more cynical, more responsible, because it's had to be. From the first episode, Joyce is already in the habit of focusing on Will because Jonathan 'can take care of himself', so his needs don't show on her radar. Not only does that mean she doesn't see them: it also means that Jonathan doesn't have a good handle on his own needs either.
When you learn to make yourself small to keep everyone else afloat, you lose the ability to tell when you're sinking.
And a big chunk of the GA seems to see this and go 'Oh, he's sinking, what a loser!' because it's become normal for him to sink. They see his character as the oddball tragic foil to Steve's everyman charm, when they were supposed to see it the other way around. Jonathan was supposed to be one of the central characters for once, and to take that away from him because he is the way he is...misses the point entirely. You're supposed to sympathise with Jonathan. You're supposed to watch the show and think deeply about the harm we do when we exclude people. You're supposed to learn from him.
Yes, Jonathan does struggle to be sociable, and charismatic, and open! He does struggle to express himself! That's the whole point: he is a child who's been through more in 16 years (as of S1) than most people in small-town America have in a lifetime. He is the way he is because he trudges through Hell and keeps going.
Because he'll be damned if anyone he loves ends up there with him.
#jonathan byers#when the general audience has no sympathy for jonathan they are missing the whole point of the show#stranger things critical#general audience critical#steve harrington#jonathan and steve are both valid characters#but only jonathan seems to get mischaracterised on the regular#jonathan byers is an excellent big brother#jonathan byers is an excellent character#jonathan byers is arguably way more interesting than steve#and they are both good men in different ways#stranger things

Lucy is an Ancient!.... theory.
you might like this if you: really like the idea of eldritch beings falling in love with some normal ass dude who is totally unaware.
I also posted this all on the Klei forums, which might be easier to read for some people. Click here for that version.
A while ago I posted: "someone remind me to make a post on my theory about Lucy being an Ancient" and I finally got around to it! Feel free to read. It's a long one, but the main timeline for the idea is in the last paragraphs if you want to skip ahead.
Here's the theory now:
Hey gang, I figured I'd post this theory I have. I dunno if anyone else has picked up on it, I didn't find anything myself. I'm gonna try my best to explain why I believe Lucy the Axe could be..... an Ancient!! Like the spirit of the Shadow Maul or Reaper.
First things first, lets start with Woodie, the scraps of lore we have for him, and what Lucy means to him.
We know that the survivors entering the Constant (at least in the DS era) have a pattern of wanting something, or being emotionally vulnerable- and this is typically what Maxwell preyed on to get them into the Constant.
In Walter's short, we get a glimpse of Woodie's cabin. He has references to his family being from Scotland in it, various stereotypical Canadian British Columbian Guy decor, two very conspicuous chairs in the main room.... and "Lucy's" outside.
That's right... Woodie never took the physical "Lucy" with him. I put Lucy in quotation marks because we don't know if Lucy was always his axe... or if she was the person that second chair in his home belonged to.
The guy went deep into an uninhabited forest to get away from people, why would he have two chairs in his home right next to each other? Pair this with with how he leaves his red "Lucy" axe outside, rather than having left her on the chair or something like one might if they were romantically invested in something.
Keep this in mind too when considering whether Lucy could’ve been a real person or was always an axe.
Now, putting the pieces we have so far together, one could follow this story pretty easily: Woodie lost his wife and was reminiscing on memories of her while listening to the radio, which was the prime moment for Maxwell to swoop in with the promise of reuniting them.
Don't Starve fans might be skeptical for a few reasons: DS fans are split pretty evenly between wanting Woodie to be "just some funny guy" and also desperately wanting more information on this mysterious Lumberjack. When you put this theory into perspective, it all feels too easy; or it just feels wrong to completely blow open a huge point in Woodie's lore that is otherwise kept close to Klei's chest.
Secondly, somewhat related to the first point: Klei's got plans in motion for their lore. The idea of even the gameplay of the world is that you start out knowing nothing, and slowly, SLOWLY, you gain more information. Even then, though, the game becomes more complex and deep. Essentially the team's been doing the same thing with their lore. Whether they only had a loose idea at the beginning and are now really hitting the road running with the direction they want to go in terms of lore, or if they always had an idea for it: they've been giving us glimpses of it over the past... 12 years? We've never gotten the full picture even after all this time, all these shorts and expansions. And each new bit of lore that gets revealed, there's another complexity added to it. Again, people might be thinking "this is just too easy a conclusion to come to, I could've thought of that."
They might just really be banking on Woodie's general obscurity in relation to the main story as a way to give him a lot of interesting tidbits that people won't immediately dissect.
Thirdly: I'm just one person posting something on the internet. I could just be way too much of a fan of Woodie and reading too much into all this. And I could totally be wrong or be wrong about some things and right about others. Either way, I don't anticipate getting any answers from Klei for a long time if at all, which only adds to skepticism.
(If you ask me, Don't Starve and its short animations/puzzles/lore drops are begging to be nitpicked.)
So lets back-track a little and talk about why Klei might've decided to drop so much potential, very vital Woodie lore in this one short. (AKA: the Woodie Tangent part of this theory thread, cus I love him)
If you've seen the short animations on Youtube, you might go to the comment sections here and there to get a general community consensus on them or the character. The comments are overwhelmingly positive and a lot praise how the lore is being handled.
Then you get to Woodie's very own animated short....
If you've seen it, you know it's a silly animation where Woodie , in the Constant (unlike other shorts til then), is chopping trees and gets attacked by a tree guard. He uses his three wereforms to fight it, and overall its a pretty fun time. The comments are mostly positive, but a lot expressed disappointment in not getting any more lore about Woodie. He's a very mysterious character, even despite having one of the longer character bios in the game.
So, eventually Walter comes along. A young boy from Canada, part of a boy scouts troop, really into monsters. If the developers didn't have Woodie in mind when making Walter, they ended up becoming very intertwined character and story-wise anyway. Klei being the cheeky devils they are, decided that if people wanted Woodie lore so bad, they'd get it.... via Walter's short. We only get a few glimpses at background things (we might've even got a hint that Woodie lives on vancouver island) but to Klei, that's enough. Clearly we've gotta do something with what we got.
But even Walter's short didn't give us enough for full answers to anything.
Let's move on and get to the real stuff: Lucy, Maxwell, and the Ancients.
The Ancients in Don't Starve lore refers to a powerful society of bug people that existed in the Constant long, long ago. They went extinct because of their over-reliance on nightmare fuel, which brought them from famine and gave them great magic and technology that allowed them to live in a bustling utopia, for a while.
We see an ancient in the metaphysical "flesh" in Hamlet as the Ancient Herald. We also know that the spirits that embody such weapons as the Shadow Maul or Shadow Reaper were once ancients, and their souls were probably in the pure horror/dark tatters used to create those items.
Anyway, the reason why they matter in this instance is because the only other living, talking tools we know about in the game are the Shadow Maul and Shadow Reaper, who both happen to have special dialogue for Woodie. They’re possessive over him, and jealous of and particularly spiteful towards Lucy. They’re also made with dark magic, unsurprisingly, and that’ll come into play later in terms of my theory for Lucy’s existence. I’m noting now that the Shadow Reaper/Maul and Lucy all have a nonchalance about them and are eager to be used. Also, that they all feature red prominently in their designs.
As fun as I find all these personality similarities though, we won’t talk about them much. Here are these comparisons for the hell of it:
Shadow Reaper quote: "We make a good team, no matter how you ssssslice it." Lucy quote: “We make a good team!"
Shadow Maul quote: "Ch- cho- chop. CHOP!" "Ch- chop tree... CHOP TREE!" "CHOP! CHOP! CHOP!" Lucy quote: "Chop chop chop. Heh." "Chop, c-c-chop!"
Also on this point of Lucy being a magical item, remember how she will always disappear in the world if Woodie’s gone too long and be replaced by a normal axe. If Woodie tries to use any normal axe that isn’t her, she immediately disappears from where she was last dropped and poofs right into Woodie’s hands in place of that axe.
Alongside this, typically you can only carry/have one Lucy at a time, and she does have special dialogue if you can somehow hold another one.
So, we’ve established the similarity between the talking items. Keep in mind that its established now that inhabitants of the Constant can summon the souls of the Ancients to be used as objects with dark magic.
Moving on…
Its safe to say Maxwell couldn’t manipulate too much beyond the confines of the Constant and his portals and the radios, like we see with him needing Willow and Wilson’s help.
He also can’t seem to drag anyone into the Constant whose name doesnt start with W. Also, whenever Maxwell “fulfills a wish” in order to get a survivor into the Constant, it always comes with a twist. (If Woodie didnt want anything new or different from his current life, he wouldn’t have been lured in. If Woodie just wanted his axe to actually talk to him, he wouldn’t just be given that no strings attached. If Woodie wanted someone back and was promised they’d be in the Constant, why not turn them into his axe, which as a lumberjack he’s metaphorically married to?)
The possibility of Maxwell dragging Lucy’s spirit into the world alongside Woodie is feasible, considering Wendy and Abigail’s situation. But if that were the case, then why not let her stay as a spirit attached to Woodie, rather than having to construct an entirely new form of axe? Because remember, Woodie didn’t bring his real axe into the Constant with him.
You could argue: “because he’s bored. Lol.” and to that i say….. Yeah true lol. Work with me here!
Here’s another potential point towards Lucy’s spirit being brought in with Woodie: Wendy’s quotes for Woodie often refer to Lucy, and how Abigail favours her.
But keep in mind that this (Wendy/Abigail recognising a spirit in Lucy) only tells us that there IS a presence in Lucy. Also, considering Winona’s short, I think it’s safe to assume that Abigail might only be able to exist in the Constant because of her flower somehow being tethered to its magic. Lucy wouldn’t have had that.
Alongside that, Maxwell’s quote for examining Lucy: "Ah. How have you been, Lucy?"
He knows there IS something in the axe and appears familiar with her
So…
Let’s rule out a few other ideas for Lucy’s existence real quick (just in terms of this theory… because i still love these interpretations):
Lucy being purely in woodie’s mind: then other characters wouldn’t think much about her, Maxwell wouldn’t speak to her so familiarly or as a real person. Even if the magic going into the DST world made her able to speak, Maxwell would be more likely to show surprise at her sentience (its something new that happened after his reign)
Lucy only existing because Woodie willed her into existence on arrival into the Constant: See above, Maxwell wouldn’t be so familiar with her. Plus, putting together the pieces of woodie having left his real-world fire axe outside his house while he was spending his down time inside, we can assume that woodie in the real world didnt have the same deep connection to his axe. If he could will something into existence, why not have it be the real person he was missing that he wouldve shared that chair with?
Lets start wrapping this up.. Cus I’m no good at writing coherently in long-form.
Here’s what I think could be the potential timeline of events for this theory, putting all the pieces together:
Maxwell needs to lure a depressed, possibly mourning Woodie into the Constant and promises him he’ll reunite him with his partner, Lucy. Her spirit’s not tethered to the real world anymore (because unlike Abigail, she didn’t have that odd flower) and Maxwell can’t manipulate the world outside of the Constant to that degree- but he has a lot of power inside of the Constant. He calls upon the spirit of an Ancient, seemingly the only spirits that can be returned to a level of sapience, with dark magic of which he’s especially adept, and forges its spirit into that of a special axe.
Then, either he imbues the axe with Woodie’s memories or the axe/eldritch powers-that-be gain them in their own way (think Maria from Silent Hill,) and upon Woodie’s passage to The Constant, he receives her.
As far as Woodie’s concerned, he’s gotten everything he needs, and takes his existence in The Constant without much disdain. As for Lucy, her old Ancient spirit is happy to be alive again and feeding off living beings (trees). It takes getting used-to to be an entirely new “person”, but she gets the hang of it. She’s clingy and codependent because he’s her source of fuel, but quickly forms a bond with him and ends up caring about his wellbeing, to the point of helping his survival in the DST era. Woodie is blissfully unaware and thriving.
....
Alright, thanks for reading! I know it was a lot. Feel free to discuss. I love Woodie and Lucy. I'm sure I missed a few things, like maybe how Lucy knows about Woodie's wereform cycle with the moons and when his beaverness gets low (the moon thing could be a reference to how the Ancients worshipped "Alter"/Them, and the beaverness thing could just be her dark magic picking up on his curse) ... or how Lucy is very picky with other survivors and very sure of herself/forward/brash like the other sentient items, but those are more of a stretch.

it doesn't say in the article that this is the case, but I assume europeans being europeans they're just not admitting here that the reason for all this kerfuffle is that two of his donor children did actually end up dating by accident and possibly had sex, found out they had the same biological father, and they (or more likely their legal guardians) freaked the fuck out.
now, i don't really think biological sibling incest is immoral especially if you weren't raised in the same family as someone else and didn't know you were related ahead of time. and i think concerns that it's "gross" are legally irrelevant. but I can see how people who disagreed with my views and did think it was immoral and gross might think they had a "right" not to be put in situations where they might do that sort of thing unwittingly. yes, this is because they are prudish morons, but this is more disappointing to me than surprising!
and yeah the concerns about inbreeding are way overblown even for half-siblings. if people actually cared about genetic deficiencies, they can already test for those things with any potential partners they want to have children with, regardless of whether they're biologically related to them or not. if you care as much about eugenics as all of these Dutch people apparently seem to, that's probably a good idea anyway...
THE HAGUE, April 28 (Reuters) - A Dutch court on Friday ordered a man who judges said had fathered between 500 and 600 children around the world to stop donating sperm.
The 41-year-old Dutchman, identified by de Telegraaf newspaper as Jonathan Meijer, was forbidden to donate more semen to clinics, the court ruling said. He could be fined 100,000 euros ($110,000) per infraction.
The court also ordered Meijer to write to clinics abroad asking them to destroy any of his semen they have in stock, except doses reserved for parents who already had children by him.
The decision came after a civil case started by a foundation representing the interests of donor children and Dutch parents who had used Meijer as a donor.
They argued that Meijer's continued donations violated the right to a private life of his donor children, whose ability to form romantic relationships are hampered by fears of accidental incest and inbreeding.
Meijer's mass donations first came to light in 2017 and he was banned from donating to Dutch fertility clinics, where he had already fathered over 100 children.
However, he continued to donate abroad, including to the Danish sperm bank Cryos which operates internationally. Meijer also continued to offer himself as a donor on sites matching prospective parents with sperm donors, sometimes using a different name, according to the Algemeen Dagblad daily

This page and the following panel. What does it all mean? That the JAA was already after Ando when Shin was a baby (and him?), before Ando dropped him of with Asakura? Although Shin does say that Ando is saying bullshit, we don't know what Shin means with that since we don't actually got to see what Ando was thinking about. (Except for trying to flee the country, which is already Andos plan.)
I do gotta add a theory I've had for a bit now. Which is that Shin was actually born with the powers, and that Asakuras chemistry simply activated them earlier than they would have otherwise. Don't know how likely that is though.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6727f44eec720bddedf063bfe88a7b1f/f10607780f226e3c-8e/s500x750/cf90ef243a413f4d01c6b29609c95240cacaa1c7.jpg)
Ando points out the hypocrisy in telling someone who you can't kill while being an Assasin. Which is honestly fair, and Sakamoto doesn't even fight it, just asks where the bomb is. (And promptly goes to a straight attack.) And Shin does seem to know where the bomb is, like Taro points out later in the chap. Except maybe, could it be, that the bomb is just a bluff? Or Ando already figured out/knows that Shin can read minds after his reaction before (previous pic) and said something else? No idea. Again we are once not shown what Shin can read in Andos mind. Probably for a more emotional scene later, but who knows.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8c90fdf9e2974b186e46b8e7e6530d60/f10607780f226e3c-26/s640x960/432fc7d88a320bc30bfc317cff586626e5309ca0.jpg)
Sunglasses, Ikari, from the previous chapter attacks (with an anchor, of course, we are on a boat. Should have expected an anchor as a weapon, lmao.) And Taros instinct is already to just pick up Shin and run of with him in his arm. The fatherly instincts in him are to strong.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0c32486bdeaf26ed123edbb70f483241/f10607780f226e3c-25/s540x810/46ab91d1de60d9fe1959e76cb2f201c5ccfb475c.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e6b53f7ad6d709eec2dbad8959e8a010/f10607780f226e3c-fc/s540x810/061786db4be3d88b93b4db77a2f9c1154c403ca6.jpg)
Meanwhile Shins trauma from being abandoned at a young age without any answers shines through strong. With, for now, the set believe that blood relation goes over anything. I can't tell if the panel of Taro is only him noticing Ikaris next attack, or if he's already thinking about what Shin is saying here. Never the less. He still immediately protects Shin, who at this point isn't a bystander, but still a kid and (for Taro at least) one that has got nothing to do with the job.
ALSO IKARI IS A CREEP. EWWWWW. GET AWAY FROM THE CHILD.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/86f202bdab0d3a629e9a88b2094b004b/f10607780f226e3c-78/s400x600/2a0647e6cafae789e47c7a8413a757091716376e.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0765701c236d228c6d13d7a1a51e65ed/f10607780f226e3c-b3/s540x810/29a44fc4effeb4407f707cf998e3a4e44dac92ab.jpg)
And while Taro is like constantly making sure that Shin doesn't die in all that chaos, ever since he meeting him, Ikari has no fucking issue to strangle (and assault because omg) a child. Just from the start of this flashback it's clear that Taro never liked killing when it wasn't neccesary, if at all. He saved him at first by just saying he would get rid of him infront of the thugs. He then keeps saving him over and over, even though Shin is a little shit and sends the shop owners after him. Telling him to either stay away from trouble in his way, "I'll be right back" - "don't get thrown overboard again" - from last chapter. (Even asking him if he's okay) I just really like this, seeing how despite the killing itself Taro always had something genuinly nice at him. Killing is work for him, nothing more. Not harming innocent bystanders isn't just a rule to follow, but something he deems right. Keeping a child safe in a fight, asking him "What's wrong?" and "you okay?" when the child looks sick? Even though he has obviously no idea how to act with a (traumatized) child?Just a natural instinct.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5a41fe7f4783b1cac38563b599b1f6e9/f10607780f226e3c-40/s540x810/2ebd26ec5d5c5aafeee99cb3da83f779a81dd86e.jpg)
Between all that he even decides to apologise to Shin because he can't understand his feelings. He doesn't understand Shins internal struggles. However he's not just bursting out anymore that he's gonna kill Shins dad, because it made Shin upset before, and instead says that he's gonna keep the enemy busy and for Shin to escape. Again, telling him to get to safety. And In a way even telling him to just stay away from the underworld I think.
So in summary. Sakamoto Taro is an assassin here, killing is his job. But he so obviously believes that innocence exists. That other people are innocent. He also believes that you shouldn't harm children (after all children are supposed to be the most innocent). But Taro also doesn't see himself to ever be part of that. At least not yet I think.
#But Aoi saw the good in Taro and decided to bring it out#surprisingly this turned out to be more about Sakamoto than Shin#who would have thought#Taro just trying to not let a child die#VS Shin with his abandmonment issues#Taro being send to kill Shins dad#-> Taro ending up as a teen dad 🤣#sakamoto tarou#sakamoto days manga#taro sakamoto#sakamoto days#sakamoto days shin#shin sakamoto days#shin asakura#asakura shin#me: waiting for the lab arc anime episodes impatiently

do you think you could make a story where ace and one or both of the others get trapped in an elevator and ace panics cause she doesn’t like how small the space is?
i’d like to see more of how one or both of emily and jj calms her down, probably sent further into their relationship when they’re an established trio
you’re writing is awesome by the way please never stop
Elevator
You don’t like small dark spaces. That’s pretty common knowledge amongst the team thanks to a kidnapping over a year ago. Normally, your brain doesn’t equate elevators with that concept because they’re a regular part of your daily life getting up to the bullpen or your therapist’s office or any other number of things. Normally is the key adverb there.
The elevator jerks to an awkward stop, and the four of you grab the railing to steady yourselves. “Oh, that’s not good,” Emily comments, nerves tinting her tone.
“What? You’re scared of a little elevator issue,” Morgan teases, shifting his weight in a pretend jump.
“Don’t do that,” Emily snips at him, as the elevator drops another few inches. “See! Push the alarm button!”
Your fingers are clenched around the railing. JJ is close, somehow staying reasonably calm, even as Emily lists off statistics about elevator-related injuries and deaths. “I am pushing the button! Push! Pull! Push Pull!” The elevator lurches again. You’re not fond of the current situation, but you’re not sinking into a panic attack either. Yes, it’s a small space, but you’re not alone, and you’re not in the dark. That last part is always the kicker for your PTSD.
Morgan is on a very glitchy call with Garcia to get help when the lights go out. JJ grabs for your hand, just as your chest starts to tighten. You sink to the floor, curling your knees up defensively. The elevator is pitch black, and it’s so easy for your brain to conflate where you are with where you’ve been. JJ’s arm wraps around your shoulders, tucking you against her side. “Breathe,” she whispers, her words warm against your temple. “You’re okay.” Emily trips over your feet in the dark, hastily apologizing. She turns on her phone’s flashlight and presses it into your hands like a lifeline. She sits on your other side, her palm rubbing gently up and down your thigh. “It’s okay, baby. There’s some light, and we’re right here with you.”
It helps fractionally, though your brain thrums with overwhelming static, and your chest feels compressed in the worst way. Your breathing becomes more and more shallow. Emily corrals your phone and JJ’s, turning on those flashlights too. She wants to save Morgan’s battery since he has at least a few bars of service. Then Emily moves your body, shifting you until you’re facing her, kneeling over her lap. “Just like this,” she soothes, as she cuddles you to her chest. “Can you feel my heartbeat?” Your brain is too loud; you can’t focus on anything else. Emily holds your palm over her heart.
“Penelope is gonna get someone here as quickly as possible,” JJ promises. “We’re right here with you. Okay? Just try to breathe. Nice and steady, baby.” Your hand balls Emily’s shirt into a fist, as the throbbing in your chest aches more intensely. “It’s okay. It’s okay.” You bury your face in Emily’s neck, clinging to her, searching for a physical tether to keep from getting washed away in the storm. “We’ve got you.”
The elevator jolts again, dropping another few centimeters. JJ’s body curls around yours, creating something of a protective cocoon around you with Emily at your front and JJ at your back. Your hands tremble, and you try to focus on the odd light from the phone flashlights.
“Nice and steady,” JJ repeats. “I know what it feels like, but you’re not there. Focus on my voice. We are right here, baby. We’re okay. Maybe pick one of your phrases from therapy?” You shake your head vehemently. You don’t make sound in the dark. “No problem. We’ll try that when we’re back on solid ground.”
The elevator starts moving in a controlled fashion, the lights still off. When the doors separate, a group of firefighters stands in the opening to assist. One steps in with outstretched arms to help JJ off the floor. “We got it. Thanks. Don’t touch her,” she warns. Your body trembles, resisting being unfurled from the defensive position you were in. JJ grabs you under the arms and pulls you up. Once Emily is standing, she leads you out of the elevator and back towards the SUV.
The backseat feels safe, afternoon sunlight streaming in through the windows and windshield. Emily leans protectively in the open doorway and presses your inhaler into your hands. “Points of contact, love,” she coaches softly. “Leather off the bench. Feet on the ground. Back against the seat. Plastic of the inhaler in your hand. You’re okay.” You nod, feeling like it’s fractionally easier to breathe in the sun. “You’re safe. I’m right here with you.”
Little by little, bit by bit, your symptoms fade. “That’s my girl,” Emily congratulates with a kiss to your temple. “I’m going to check in with JJ and Morgan, alright? You stay put. Play some music on your phone and just breathe.”
You nod, clutching the phone she puts in your hand. Before she closes the door, you call out. “Em?” Her smile is kind and full of love as she turns to look at you. “Take the stairs.”

((Putting here because of how it relates to our psychosis and other reasons for using AAC))
Answered by Ace
1. Not great. There are times when we are decently articulate, but we are steadily losing our ability to speak/speak well. When we can use words (as opposed to when we can make no sounds, and when we can only use sounds/grunts/huffs), the words get mixed up - the order is wrong, the sounds are wrong, we drop words/sounds/letters, we can only use one/two words at a time, we can't remember the right word/word we're meaning, ect
2. We're learning how to use AAC (hence this blog) so that we can communicate no matter how our speech is. We're not the best, but we can more or less get our point across
3. Traditional therapy (specialty for dissociative disorders and trauma), psychiatry (medication management for... a shit ton of disorders tbh), just signed up for speech therapy today! first appointment is on the 14th, and we are looking into something for physical disability support (next rheumatologist appointment is in March) EDIT no speech therapy, speech therapist advice Council work independently on AAC instead
4. We were in advances classes growing up. We took college and advanced placement classes in high school, and were part of independent study groups through elementary to high school (don't know the official terms, but they pulled us out of certain classes at regular times to work on different projects than what was being worked on by our peers)
5. Chicken nuggets, fries (potatoes in most forms tbh), chips, cereal
6. ADHD, psychosis, anxiety, depression, cPTSD, ect - we have a lot of problems tbh
7. Able physically do things on own, but need help remembering do them - prompts for eats/drinks, reminder need use restroom, showers are on schedule, ect. On bad pain days, need physical help do things - make food, clean after self, ect. Never able drive, so need help that, stores not go by self
8. Not know (dissociative amnesia, not remember childhood well)
9. We're not diagnosed. We've always had problems related to being autistic, but it was simply attributed to us just being "a little weird". We didn't realize we were autistic until we left for college and met other autistic people and realized "oh shit, this isn't just us being weird, there's an actual reason we're like this?"
10. Yes, Ace partner is official caregiver, and Ace mother unofficial caregiver
11. Support for physical disability, makes hard, hopes can get mobility aid
12. We're still in university, so we're a student and not working... but we are struggling with classes at the moment (unrelated to autism)... with our worsening psychosis, we're unsure of if we'll be able to work after we graduate (...if we graduate)
13. Unpopular opinion, but everyone is different and has different needs - it's unfair to judge someone by someone else's standards; everyone deserves respect, kindness, and acceptance
14. I can't really imagine not being autistic? I don't know what'd we'd do if we weren't autistic... maybe attend a faire or something, enjoy it without having to worry about sensory issues we usually do
15. We/the core/the body actually developed earlier than typical - we walked, talked, ect at a higher level sooner than our peers
Autism ask game!!
1. What does your ability to speak look like?
2. What does your overall issues with communication look like?
3. What type of therapies do you do if any? Or are trying to get?
4. What did your education look like?
5. What is your safe food if you have any?
6. Do you have any comorbid disabilities?
7. What are your support needs?
8. What did your support needs look like growing up?
9. What is your story of how you got diagnosed?
10. Do you have a carer?
11. What support are you hoping to get?
12. Are you able to work?
13. What is an unpopular opinion about something discuses in the autism community you have?
14. Is there anything you would do if you were not autistic/did not have all of your support needs?
15. How did your development look like growing up? Did you have developmental delays?

do skully have pokemon?
Pumpkaboo is the obvious one, but y'know, sometimes the obvious one is the right one! (we'll say SUPER SIZE Pumpkaboo, just for fun. big pumpkin for big skeleton boy.) and another person actually also suggested Greavard, which I somehow hadn't considered, but feels so perfect that I feel like I should have. dangit.
(they can also have little Nightmare Suit costumes :D)
#art#twisted wonderland#pokemon#poketwst#twisted wonderland spoilers#lost in the book with nightmare before christmas#hajimari no halloween#(sorry for leaving anon off for a while! i've gotten a rash of spam and i'm gonna wait it out a couple days before turning it back on)#also apologies for the rest of this not really being pokemon related#i don't have anything right now for part 4 of the event so i'm gonna use this space to go off about it#because. oh man.#a sad lack of the scullsman but a FEAST of everyone else#gotta love malleus and leona uniting in the common goal of hunting trey down for trying to game their whiny pettiness#(trey doesn't know what to do with someone he can't easily distract with cake)#also further confirmation that malleus WILL kill a small child and leona WILL point and laugh the whole time#also sebek's plans revolving around what he knows he's good at: screaming extremely loudly and hoisting nerds#and let us not forget what i consider to be the crowning jewel#which is jamil figuring out IMMEDIATELY where scully has taken his prisoners#only for everyone else to just. literally refuse to do anything about it.#jamil just standing there and going 'WE KNOW WHERE THEY ARE! WE CAN JUST! GO GET THEM!!!! WHYYY AREN'T WE GOING'#visibly losing his entire mind and it's beautiful#top 10 twst event moments honestly#also some delightful character consistency from jade being all#'actually my dicking around is a sign of my immense trust in your abilities to get things done :)'#'but also consider: there are currently two housewardens chasing a child'#'alternately angrily screaming poetry and begging them not to sue'#'and if you will pardon my city of flowers...there is no fucking way i'm missing that'#lock shock and barrel did not sign up for this. how did these idiots turn out to be somehow weirder than the three of them.#twisted wonderland must be a frightening place indeed
