If you allow me to be blunt, I do not care what cc!Scott and cc!Owen preferences are. This is characters, not creators. I do not push it in the CCs' faces, and if they stumble upon the bracket or anything else I do in fandom, it is up to them to block me, keep scrolling, or choose to interact.

Indulging this question/concern for a second, I believe it is more complicated with shipping them than people realize. People were referring to both the CCs and the characters by default as "Copper Husbands". It made them uncomfortable because they have not chosen to be romantic via their characters nor are they romantic irl. This is in contrast to calling Scott and Jimmy "Flower Husbands" because they initiated romantic relationships as their characters and called their characters that. In response, the fandom has switched to defaulting on calling them "Copper Duo" (and perhaps another duo name I can't recall at the moment), which is respectful to the CCs and good on everyone for doing. This does not mean that we, as a fandom, are forced to stop shipping or are "not allowed" to ship Copper Husbands.

If you or anyone else want to ship a pairing and make/interact with the fan made content of said ship, you and everyone else should be able to (or "allowed to") without being shamed or made to feel unnecessarily guilty.

In addition, this blog attempts its best to take a neutral stance on ships regardless of the blog owner's own opinions. The bracket runs with the first 32 nominated Scott ships, regardless of what they are, as long as it isn't immoral/unethical such as person/animal, minor/adult, or something else like that. I am not here to make any sort of judgement on the validity of a ship. I simply acknowledge that the ship exists and run the bracket accordingly.

As a general rule of thumb, don't tag the creators if they haven't requested/encouraged it, don't force fan content into their faces via stream/etc, and tag your posts (especially shipping posts) correctly. The creators' interaction with the fan base as a whole and specific parts of fandom are up to them to maintain, just as it is with us personally. As a fandom, as long as we follow those general rules, there is nothing wrong with shipping the characters however we wish.

This and similar issues are more nuanced than people tend to realize, and it gets frustrating to have to defend things and explain myself over and over, but please know that I say this out of sharing an insight. This post is very /info /nm and not meant to be seen as an attack. Here are some tidbits I think people really should remember: live and let ship (aka live and let live), learn how to just scroll/filter out tags, the block button exists for a reason, someone else's opinions/preferences/etc do not affect you personally, and you do not have to interact with people you disagree with.

If what someone is doing doesn't cause harm to themself or others, then why do you care?

what's your favourite sims death?

ngl i dont actually have one, im terrified of any of my babies dying so they never do...but i guess old age maybe? because that means theyve lived a long life and ive played with them for a long time?

alpha HANDS DOWN...i dont hate mm by any means dont get me wrong, but ill always be an alpha girl at heart. its the alpha hairs, they always get me.

do you cheat your sims weight?

only if it fits their character i guess? not usually in gameplay.

i move objects every single day.

ooofff i mean out of necessity? nraas. but just the one i love? hands down pose player. mostly because i was so excited when i finally got it to work (i was like 13 or something and before then i could not figure out how to get mods to work) so a lot of happy memories from finally getting my sims to pose.

first expansion/game pack/stuff pack?

my first ever was sims 2 glamour life stuff pack when i was a kid. if we're talking sims 3, i believe the first pack i got was generations, which is still my favourite sims pack ever.

well, its gotta be elodie honestly. she and eli are the longest sims i have ever had and i love them both dearly. in the sims 4, its gotta be my girl pippa. before tumblr? i had this family called the moretti's, i miss them and i think about them way too often. i loved them all.

oh yeah. loads of times. i think ive shared my sims 3 and sims 4 variations on tumblr (but they look really weird tbh). i love making myself, cause then i can wear all these clothes i cant afford in real life.

thinking about the differences in how maria reacts in ch2 era cc & nosy, respectively, to the friends returning twenty years after the house.

cc maria, she's more hesitantly receptive to them to a point. depends on what they do, if they still try going after the family like they originally planned or not, if they try getting her to run off back home. because by that point she's so tethered to johnny who has been her literal only real pillar in the last two decades, and the familiar-but-grown faces of her old friends and sister are at that point basically strangers to her. twenty years is such a long time for people to change and for all she knows, they arent the same people who was close to back then and she knows she isnt the same girl they knew all that time ago, either. but i say she's hesitantly receptive because truly, think she keeps away from them as much as she can until she gets some sort of cue from johnny whether or not he feels its safe to engage really.

nosy maria would have had the same outlook had it not been for that reuniting with donnie about midway into those two decades & the friends never seemingly bothering to look for lee. that entire scenario shuts her off almost completely to nearly any sort of hesitance by the time ch2 rolls in. the hardest ones still are with ana and danny, thats her little sister - of course its going to be difficult and complicated even then. and danny was her longest friend of the group, its equally as difficult facing him, too. but them all coming back around makes her think that donnie likely said something, at some point, and the fact that he does show up again... but, she's angry. at all of them. because them coming back twenty years down the line means that they - to her - just simply never bothered to try coming back at any time in those two decades when they easily could have. they want to show up now instead, midlife-crisis? guilt eating away at them for leaving her and lee to rot back there without even trying to come back? without trying to get officials to come out to look for him at least?

maria just doesnt understand why. why bother coming back at all, now?

in twenty years, her & lee made a new life for themselves among the family, with johnny, moved past their old lives for the most part. why bother coming back all this time later for no other reason but personal revenge, considering they all believed they were just dead to have buried empty caskets for them both? to maria, its just: you all had your "closure", as fake and selfish as it was, it was understandable to a degree, i get it. but then why pretend like you give a shit now when you didnt back then. when you havent all this time. when i doubt we were at the forefront of your minds all these years - because you werent for mine / ours. we moved on. why couldnt you?

and i think like with maria's reunion with donnie -- altho probably not with ana & danny -- but similar to that reply, i think maria develops that hazy-face when looking at them all. makes it easier to disconnect further from their familiarity, makes it easier view them as any other target, any other potential victim.and i think, if shes alone when any of them stumble onto her, she slips into toying with them - plays role of captive all over again, disarms them. lets them get comfortable with her, lets them spill who all tagged along with them, what they planned to do coming back, where they left their cars, etc. depends how it all goes down truly.

another day, another round of me wracking my brain trying to come up with a good fnaf timeline. this time i came to the conclusion that i should just make an au where i leave out a bunch of stuff at this point if i want to work with my own story 😭

ok this turned into a LONG rant id normally just put on my other blog but as i started here, im just gonna post it here. i also keep forgetting stuff and sometimes i come across a theory/fact that makes me go OOHH im so dumb i forgot. and it changes everything again and its probably happening again here

first, fnaf 2 is where i get stuck every single time. id love to just leave at least the toys out, sorry mangle. second, i just cant wrap my head around the whole "charlie was the first victim" idea because we get introduced to all this where we see the puppet in the toys location and the withereds.. it becomes too confusing for me. is it at the same location? was the puppet with the ogs and the toys were added later? i would say the toys are irrelevant and havent been added until the ogs were withered. anyway, i believe will could have stuffed the kids into the ogs prior to killing charlie, which would make more sense if the puppet was possessed later and then gave them life? whether the toys are or arent posessed is not important to me as much (just confuses me. like if they werent there would it change the story??), or rather it lacks some closure, like the ogs have eventually been destroyed and the spirits let free, but for the other kids (that people say are possessing the toys), we dont even know their names! or how they ended. i always think of the theories how will destroyed the ogs to take remnant from them to use in the funtimes, but nobody ever thinks of the fact that he just gets springlocked right after which would make No sense. the funtimes are an odd thing, i guess you could apply he actually took it from the toys, but why would he? is there proof? if theyre programmed to snatch kids directly, hed have enough remnant and not have to get it from previous animatronics. that said, i believe the SL location and funtimes were made early on, but had to have this kidnap/kill function only after charlies murder because if she was the first and the point of her being the first was that will found out about remnant and possession, he would want to start experimenting with it then. however, i do prefer charlies murder to be out of jealousy towards henry after losing elizabeth, which would mean the funtimes would be existing at this point (because of eliz death). or perhaps the funtimes have been a project of his (i have this little coffin theory. probably dumb, basically just each character is there to hold the body/spirit of each afton family member, baby and ballora are obvs, funfred would be cc with bonbon in the place of the walkie talkie plush to control him.. and foxy for mike, but this doesnt work unless william knows about the posession...) but baby killed elizabeth and he wanted to get her back... wouldnt then finding out about charlie and the puppet be like way too convenient? like hey, this is exactly what you need. ...and how long can a spirit persist within an object until possession using remnant? or this kind of "activation" like in give life.

now this brought me to thinking about springtrap and when exactly was he "revived". as well as other time things.. such as, i thought the spirit "degrades" over time, loses sense of self - but i guess that would apply more after the possession starts. hinted at with scrap baby, she has been baby for so long its no longer elizabeth. but springtrap, and then scraptrap, is william seemingly after decades unless his spirit possessed spring bonnie only around the time they found him? big think

it also ties better to help wanted onward (though fnaf3 happening later would make the previous events more mysterious, why wouldnt they look into the location sooner?) and SB not taking place in like 2050s but 2030s or so (if its true that SB is happening 10 years after the pizzaplex opening). holding onto the game!vanessa is an afton theory even stronger after the movie! i talked about it b4 but had no proof. and so we dont have any literal grandpas making babies, the sooner it goes on the better. if vanessa is ~23 during help wanted, this way shed be born sometime in the 90s or early 2000s (this kinda applies even if HW took place in 2023 right after fnaf3 but since i think it happened sooner then i would prefer to go with the 90s) and. and will could have gotten laid one last time :] and have vanessa. think about it. I'll take you up on that offer of being genuine because I like it when people do the same for me. This first part is all for your first question.

Short answer is that democracy is the worst form of government there is, except for everything else we've tried. Long answer is an essay below the cut.

I want to go through your first question kind of point by point, but first I want to try and imagine a better system of government, and while I disagree with a violent overthrow of the current government (as I do not think it is yet necessary), thats where I'll start for building a better government; a blank slate.

So all the fascists and other parties and ideologies that want power over others are dead and gone, both foreign and domestic, so we don't have to worry about defending against an outside force reverting us back to the current status quo, which happens in so, so many revolutions.

All basic services necessary for life (food, water, electricity, sewage, medicine, education) are readily available. There are still resources to share and standards to set. I'll even propose a moneyless society that works (though I disagree about such feasability or necessity). The greatest resource of all: land. Not just land for farming, but for nature and for living, for industry (electricity and its generators must be produced still, medecine must still be made), etc. How will what goes where and when still needs to be decided. Even if there is a group of experts to decide these things, how do we form agreement on who gets to be in this group of experts? if theres no group of experts, how do we form agreement with eachother? You cant just make more land, you will always need to share and the dutch cant make enough for everyone.

Then there are arbitrary standards, for the longest times these have been weights and measures. competing standards with no oversight leads to bad results:

So how do we get everyone to agree on arbitrary standards that must be followed, but theres no reason for any decision to go any which way? Switching medication amounts from CCs to fl oz will kill people. you say CCs I say fl oz. now what?

Democracy does not stop any of these things from going wrong, and it certainly doesnt automarically provide for everything ive laid out in this hypothetical future, but its also pretty much the only way to get these things right, if thats at all possible. Now this is just an opinion, but I prefer having a system that sometimes gets things right over a system that cant get things right at all, while we try to find a system that can always get things right. its a tough pill to swallow, but we havent found that system yet.

Now answering your first question directly. Right now, whats the appeal of democracy? A fire extinguisher, or at least fire retardent. Anyone who tells you "all you need to do is vote" is indeed trying to pacify you away from direct action. Voting also buys you time for direct action to work. If you reply, I'd like this responded to directly, as I know this is a length post: Is it impossible to vote for a new system that does indeed outlaw fascism? Not that is it impossible for anything else to bring about a better system, but can this? can voting? If it can, shouldnt we have a diversity of tactics, try everything we can do bring about that better system?

Now onto your second question. First, yes I do really, really believe that (not all, but too many, and certainly of those in positions of power) want to do exactly as youve listed. However, political violence is a dam that once burst is not easy to rebuild, and its a river that flows both ways; usually until everyone is drowned. If republicans and fascists already hold systemic power then if history repeats itself, that means they are better positioned to engage in political violence then we are.

Whether we like it or not, there are genuinely neutral people who will only ever care about justifications and what is or is not within the rules, regardless of how moral those rules are, and they will turn against whoever breaks the rules first. I know it doesnt always seem like it because fascists have gotten away with bending the rules and shaping them to benefit themselves for so long (and disavowing their own who outright break them), but its true. Theres a reason abolitionism skyrocketed in the U.S. only after the confederacy broke the rules first.

It is a petty, vindictive, and cruel game fascists are forcing others to play with your lives as the game pieces; but I think all they care about is playing the game, and if we don't play at all, I think theyd prefer to just smash the pieces. When they start smashing pieces (and it is a matter of when, not if) I have no problem with violence then. Until then, they are offering not to smash the pieces yet as long as we keep playing the game at the ballot box. Right now, if we stop playing, that large group of neutral people will stand idly by as the fascists start smashing pieces, and theyll say the rules allow it because the fascists won by still playing. If we play the game long enough to win, the neutral party will side with us when the fascists start smashing pieces, because we played by the rules to win, and losers dont get to smash pieces. If we break the rules by hitting the fascists first, that neutral party will side with them, even if we did the right thing, because we broke the rules first.

I really do have an honest question for libshit voteblues, and it seems like it isn't an honest question because that's what I call them but it's merely an honest descriptor:

Anyway, two questions.

Question the first: If Republicans have managed to game the formal structure of the democratic system so that they threaten to end it each and every election cycle, and the proximate consequence is transition to a fascist dictatorship under God Emperor Trump and his Project 2025, then what the FUCK is the appeal of democracy supposed to be? Why are we supposed to fight to keep this system in place instead of inaugurating some other system that categorically excludes fascists from access to political power?

And closely related question the second: if you really believe, if you really, really believe that the Republicans are getting ready to send my family and me back to the plantations and open up death camps for every central American immigrant and Muslim in the country, then why aren't you moving to make the Republican party fucking illegal? Why aren't you firebombing their offices or assassinating their ideologues? Because that's what people have done in the past in similar situations and your insistence on simply forestaying their sweep into power until 4 years later is not commensurate with the seriousness of the consequences in imminent loss of life that you're claiming to believe is at stake.

Like. I love Martyn. I sorta hate the not great explanation given for him. Because there’s so much to explain. Of Evo Smp, Grian as both Admin and Player making the Watchers as ingame Viewers and as deific Minecraft code and system powers to move Minecraft versions. c!Martyn, another player with the rest of the server seeing and realizing the Watchers taking Grian and making him the Third. Mostly because cc!Grian made the decision to do so - to make his finale of Evo, and because of other important decision months in the making that just coinciding with him leaving Evo of joining Hermitcraft. Then Grian years later becoming admin and player and making 3rd life, inviting multiple players including Martyn. Though 3rd life and all others are improved and real, Martyn slowly adding voices and shadows and lore to egg him on, playing into it more and writing more as both improv and lore were played out. Martyn as any of the others didn’t know how every Smp would end. Yet, eventually in Last Life, sequel server to Third, cc!Martyn decided to truly say who the voices are: the Watchers, in his finale dropping both how he is more of a Listener (same diefic entity to Watchers, but now opposed to them and their cause, was brought more into Evo after Grian left to update the game and flee and fight and stop from the Watcher’s influence) pawn and agent. Also lines, Martyn: “Why were you so set on Grian?” Watchers: “Hmph. He was never meant to be there, he was only ever meant to /watch./” Martyn being their only special guy who knows of them. Though Jimmy knows of them Watchers and Listeners, was reached out to be a Listener, being from Evo, though very not totally participating into the lore. Though uh, via improv and choices dying first every time. Viewer speculation of the Watchers vehemently hating Jimmy for Listener, canary, etc reasons. It wasn’t in Double Life much or at all, was in Limited Life, those voices. The series he won. By betrayal, and survival. By being pushed to betray, to survive, to win.
