not to beat a dead horse but there's something kind of illuminating and warmie yet sad about the fact that Taylor's parents are attending Travis' game with her and regularly. I know the "you never saw--" joke is old, but the idea that [redacted]'s family did actually occasionally attend events with Taylor (including at what it seems may have been a difficult time), but after a certain point she herself didn't/couldn't attend his in turn, never mind her family, and it's just a testament to how different things are now, how different her life is, and frankly how integrated their family life has become. i dont think she'd kick her out though. she wouldnt. i think it's just that the more you break the rule, the more unpleasant she becomes to be around, and eventually youre gonna walk out on your own. she doesnt want you to, she'd rather you stay and dont ask questions. but if youre gonna try to ask questions anyway, i think thats whats gonna happen

btw. Charlie's villainy is what I love about him. It's what makes him an interesting character and why I ship him with Babe. Don't be fooled by his puppy dog eyes and submissive mannerisms; he is play acting, he is using this to manipulate Babe. They're not doing role reversal when they have sex; sex is when they are being their most authentic selves. That man is manipulative and extremely dominant, and it's hot. He has been lying to Babe all along, and I would bet real money he's continuing to lie. I don't know why he stole Babe's powers, but I do know he didn't try very hard to avoid it

This is not to say he is only lies; I believe that he genuinely is in love with Babe, and that his manipulations and games are, in some convoluted way, to protect Babe.

But he is absolutely not a uwu innocent baby.

Did anyone make a video or gif of that moment when he casually commands Babe to give him his glass, and has him switch the alcohol for water? And Babe instantly, unquestioningly, complies. Because that's who Charlie is when he's not pretending to be someone else.

Right I'm not saying Odin's not had a terrible amount of colonialism and war going on over his however-long-it's-been reign but when Thor wants to lay waste to Jotunheim and Odin tells him off for this it's not just hypocrisy at work, because the Odin of the timeframe of that movie seems sure that this would be Wrong not just politically bothersome and yet he also doesn't really explain to Thor why things are different now and putting that together what you have is this: Odin can't explain his own apparent change of heart without revealing that "oh yeah your brother's a Jotun," even though he must be fairly sure that this information would stop Thor's xenophobic bloodlust in its tracks as effectively as it did his own.

Additional note: their breed name comes from the shape of their tail featuring a leaf-shaped blade resembling the spear used by soldiers during the early Roman Republic

Also their classification of heavyweight is based on Roman era standards and for a good portion of the early middle ages when dragons were smaller. In the modern era (at the time of Skies over Jura and canon Temeraire) they're comparable to a large middleweight
