King Candy's Trans Coding (hear me out)

The fact Turbo could've coded any look for himself, and yet he went with King Candy, an identity that embraces aspects of femininity. Gender nonconformity probably wasn't the intention- his design has more of a focus on being royal. Aka. "I'm superior to everyone." But even those outfits are more feminine-leaning, with the tights and frilly-lace fabric y'know. Not to mention his mannerisms. Being a silly clown guy is Not in fact a part of the gender binary

Also Turbo never seemed uncomfortable with his new identity as King Candy, and not only did he embrace it- He was OBSESSED with it. He put his FACE on EVERYTHING.

But one thing for sure is that King Candy doesn't resemble anything like his old self. That might've been out of necessity to stay hidden, but the "hiding old self and presenting in a new way" theme is Still There. And that new presentation happens to incorporate aspects of gender expression his previous identity did Not have. (am i looking too deep into this? perhaps.)

But nah seriously the whole plot thread of Sonic getting his "I don't kill people teehee" attitude pushed back against constantly is the coolest part of IDW to me. He bounces back and does what he thinks is right but I just love that you can tell it's not 100% easy for him to do it. I mentioned this when I talked about Scourge + rewriting zombot!Shadow in other posts but I just love how you can debate on whether or not this attitude of his is a flaw or not.

IMO the Eggman in IDW feels much darker than the one in the games, more cold and calculating as well as sadistic in a lot of ways. I do enjoy the difference, since IDW Eggman to me feels like more of a threat, which in turn makes Soinc's constant sparing + moments like the page above feel more intense. I was honestly surprised in the recent Riders arc that Sonic would team up with Eggman at all at first, but then I realized how Sonic has likely not been pushed as far as he could be. Yet.

Something I liked about Sonic Prime was Nine clocking Sonic for the reason he saves people (in that particular interpretation of Sonic, of course), and I 100% want more of that. It would be interesting for a different character to expand further on the things Shadow, Espio, and Surge yelled at him for, to finally connect the dots as to why he even bothers giving the guy so many chances. Granted, in the recent arcs he did say he'd do what was right, that he didn't care if people saw him as a bad guy, etc., and that's all AWESOME and in line with how I see him. I just wonder where this thread is going to go, and if he'll snap in some way. Not killing Eggman or anything silly like that, but basically, an exploration of how "doing the right thing" all the time can stress you tf out maybe. Or some kind of expression on how ticked off he is that Eggman is pushing his luck constantly. Certainly, it's all bubbling up toward something...

(On the topic of different interpretations of Sonic's character, I'm also just so happy we get so many perspectives on how he can be. Some ARE pretty out there and not well written, but I hope SEGA allows the IDW team to expand more and more on the canon characters. I was talking with a friend about this the other day, but I feel a lot of the fun, more interesting writing tends to be given to the IDW OC's outside of the main characters, and that's likely because there's not as much pushback into how they're written. That's just my speculation though, and it's obviously not as true for characters like Sonic and Eggman. I just kinda want SEGA to let these people COOK more.)

Beyond polite nods and smiles, you didn’t really interact much

Chase wanted to talk to you, but he could never find a good opening

Until one day, an opportunity fell into his lap

Well, more like at his feet

“Oh my gosh!” Chase looked at the ground to see a pile of scattered papers, and then up to see you holding an empty binder. You glanced up at him before dropping to the floor to pick up your papers. “I’m so sorry.”

“Here, lemme help you.” Chase put the textbook he grabbed back in his locker and helped you gather everything together. He was able to sort it all in order, handing the stack back to you in pristine condition, as if it hadn’t been dropped all over the hallway.

“Thanks.” You say, putting everything in your binder. When you snapped it shut, Chase got a good look at the cover page.

“Little Shop of Horrors?” He read, looking at you with curiosity.

“Yeah!” You smiled at Chase and stood up from the floor, maintaining eye contact. “It’s the school musical we’re doing this year. I’m playing Audrey, so I’m pretty excited.”

“I bet.” Chase made a mental note to research everything about this show the second he got home from school. “I’m Chase, by the way.”

“Y/n.” He already knew that, but he didn’t say anything. “By the way, I don’t know if you’d be interested. But we need some more people on tech and crew, in case you have some free time or need an extracurricular.”

Being a brainiac, Chase wasn’t into the arts much

But another extracurricular to talk about to colleges and a chance to finally hang out with the girl he’s been secretly crushing on?

Chase signed up for the soundboard because he was great at technical stuff, and he had the best view of you on stage in the booth

“Great rehearsal today,” Chase said as you walked out of the auditorium together.

“Thanks. Suddenly, Seymour is killing me, though.” You sighed, flipping through your script.

“What?” He asked in disbelief. ”You’ve been doing great, Y/n.” However, you didn’t seem so convinced. “If you want, I could help you run lines and stuff?”

“Really?” You turned to him excitedly, like any exhaustion from rehearsal had dissipated. “That’d be awesome, Chase!”

So now, every Tuesday and Thursday, you and Chase would get together to go over lines and songs

Going over lines and songs two days a week turns into hanging out basically every day

You start to fall for Chase, and Chase falls for you even more

He loves hearing you sing

“Okay, I think I’m gonna do the bridge one more time.” You say, absentmindedly scrolling through the instrumental track that you had been using for practice. “Sorry for playing this song over and over. I swear, after this, I’ll be done.”

“Don’t sweat it, I don’t mind.” Chase watched you from his bed as music started to play.

Like every time, you sounded fantastic. Sure, it was a little awkward without Seymour to sing with you, but neither of you minded. 

When your part ended, you flopped onto Chase’s bed with a sigh, and the two of you let the instrumental play out.

“Then they kiss and think about their future, but then die.” You say with a sigh, rubbing your eyes tiredly.

“Do you wanna practice that?” Chase asked, surprised at himself for asking.

“Practice what?” You asked, turning your head to look at him. He gulped before answering. 

“The kiss.”

You took a moment to think. And by think, I mean internally freak out. But after that passed, you scooted over just enough to reach Chase’s lips. It was definitely better than any kiss you had with your real scene partner.

When you parted, you had giant grins and rosy cheeks.

“Wanna practice that again?”

Not to flex but I've been watching since pilots teehee. Way back when we had to record it (thank god for on demand television). Tragically because of this, I did not know for several months that Zane hadn't been killed off in season 3 because our dvr cut out the last literal 30 seconds of that episode. I was an unwell child for weeks.

Favourite character is....to no one's surprise, Zane. He's just like me fr. Favourite season is Rebooted (wow. shocker.) and season 5 (augh tragic villain). I havent watched the 'new' seasons enough to have an opinion yet </3

I enjoy making fanart (and not to be an old sap, but I remember when there genuinely wasn't much fanart of Ninjago...and now there's literal thousands of awesome artworks, I love watching a fandom grow up, everyone's so talented).

Be prepared to see loads of posts come,... December is my guess. That's when I plan on finally watching DR (and when I'm finally released from the chains that are finals) <3

TEEHEE THANK YOU :] currently im thinking k_k isn’t their Legal Guardian. sweet & cap’n live in the library dark world w their parents, but before cyberworld’s fountain was Opened they could just go back and forth between them, and the music shop is close enough that they can just walk there ! with it Now opened however, cyberworld is kinda closed off from any other dark world, i imagine this is how it works with any dark worlds(the only reason in chapter 1 you just just walk from castle town into card kingdom is bc castle town is a Pure Dark fountain dark world and they’re right next to each other)

the way i picture the Whole Entire Dark World is that Every room has a dark world in it, they have a fountain innately, their fountain being Opened is what allows lightners(like the fun gang) to access that room’s dark world. and having their fountain open blocks them off from any other dark world that doesn’t have an open fountain/is a pure dark world like castle town. i hope that makes sense. but then like ralsei says, Closing that fountain destroys the world it had, turning it fully back into the room it was, it no longer harbors a dark world, effectively killing every darkner there.

but so with cyberworld’s fountain opened they wouldn’t Be Able to go back home, and then they had to be relocated to castle town what with kris having to Close cyberworld’s fountain and that rendering that world inert. but hey their parents are Suffocating so. even if they can go back(and they can, since the library’s dark fountain isn’t open) they are ok w taking an extended break from them.

perhaps a kinder alternative is sweet and cap’n convinced their parents to let them stay w kk for the school semester so they’ve been staying w him for a while now pre-the-game’s-events. maybe their parents had to go on a business trip or smth

as for insight on their parents ! im not really sure how to talk abt it ! their brand of abuse is kinda hard to pin down! you look at all these specific instances and you can say ‘yeah, this is abuse’ but you try to put it together and it’s like. but they care. they only said that because they care. and you genuinely believe that they care. but it’s still abuse. they love you but it is still abuse. and a lot of the time these instances of abuse are not enough to Remember what happened but they happen enough that this feeling of resentment about it stacks up and it’s always there, even when the abuse aren’t happening, you remember it even when you get along. their love feels… not quite transactional or conditional but you feel like you Can screw up badly enough that they’ll stop loving you. so you feel you have to be perfect for them but it seems like it’s never enough. you feel like you’re losing. k_k lost. he got tired of trying. of Having to try. he feels incredibly guilty that he just Left his siblings behind like that. he had to play Third Parent to them growing up and now as far as he’s concerned he’s Abandoned them. and they still want him. he’s worried they’re fighting for his affection just like they are w their parents. he doesn’t know how to express that he wants them too. that his love isn’t conditional, ever. and yeah, sometimes sweet and cap’n are mad that he left. dealing with it all was easier when he was around. but they know in his position they would have done the exact same thing.

Once again, these are all messages from discord, so I'm sorry if the formating is weird but I really don't know how else to scribe these 😭 Mints messages are the indented green ones, and mine are the orange :3

(FIRST THO, Mint and I also came up with the ship names DayBreak (Jekyll and Elias) and NightFall (Hyde and Elias) bc we were feeling a little silly teehee (TYSM MINT FOR SUGGESTING SHIP NAMES ILY!!) but, also ofc there's Hydas (kinda reminds me of Midas, which I think is cute since they're both blond) and,,,, most the ones for Jekyll don't really flow as well, but Jekyias is pretty good :3)

Anyways, onto the discussion:

does a Mind Hyde exist in Lanyon's mindscape?? Or does Mind Jekyll just has some like characteristics that make him look a bit like Hyde 👁👁??

I think Mind Jekyll would just have some odd/intensified characteristics from Hyde. since Lanyon was able to see bits of Jekyll in Hyde before he even knew of the split, I think his mind would very quickly just connect Hyde back to Jekyll and skew his perception of Jekyll. Plus, I just don't think Hyde by himself has made enough of an impact on Lanyons life that he would get his own mind person, Lanyon barely knew anything about him and everything he learned about Hyde just kinda fed him more on Jekyll, and that's who he actually cares about. (Sorry if any of that is confusing jekvkksf english is hard rn) but!!! Mind Jekyll, right? Yeah, he would probably dislike Elias, Just like how Mind Lanyon dislikes Hyde. Mind Jekyll would probably think he's helping Lanyon (especially with how much *Lanyon* dislikes Elias) by either getting rid of (or at least keeping control of) Elias in the mindscape

Oooo, yeah, I think I understand :0 (dw! I understand that) Also, poor Elias, he already has some doubt about the real Jekyll liking him, and the Mind version of him just dislikes him 😭 would Mind Jekyll ever try to get rid of Elias in a similar way to what Mind Lanyon did? (Trying to cut off Elias's head) Also, how would Elias feel about Mind Jekyll disliking him and stuff?? ((Also, maybe Mind Jekyll tries to lock Elias in the mindscape or something like that 👁👁??)

.. I may be listening to Chonnys Charming Chaos Compendium in order, which *may* be swaying my ideas a bit, but I think Mind Jekyll would kinda play "nice" for a bit mayhaps? Like, he certainly doesn't act like he likes Elias, more so making it obvious that he just begrudgingly tolerates Elias's presence. As it goes on for a bit tho, Mind Jekyll would probably start getting worse, being much more open about his dislike and actively trying to lock Elias away in sections or rooms of the mindscape (maybe sometimes even with/near one of Lanyons stray nightmares?)

Elias has a *very* complex view of mind Jekyll, bc on one hand, it's *mostly* kinda the guy he loves, plus, having to deal with Mind Jekylls hatred is still better than going crazy all by himself in silence (at least at first). On the other hand, Mind Jekyll does hate him quite strongly and hurts his feelings quite often, making Elias even more likely to spiral. Mind Jekyll is probably one of the main reasons Elias absolutely detests the mindscape. Elias has certainly left the mindscape absolutely hysterical a good few times, going straight to Lanyon, because even *he's* better than having to deal with everything in the mindscape (when he's not simply forced into the mindscape and kinda trapped for a bit, of course. He basically stops going in willingly after a couple of Mind Jekylls schemes (and perhaps meeting his dad, or seeing the ballroom?))

👁👁👁👁 ~~Elias is really going through stuff, damn–~~ Imagine if maybe Elias only ever saw the ballroom but like very vaguely, from the corner of his eye sometimes, and just decided "I'm never going there" because it just gives him some bad vibes and stuff, and just, Mind Jekyll locks him/forces him to go there, and it's Elias just wanting to go away the whole time, not having a fun time while Mind Jekyll is just refusing to let him leave, dragging him by the hand and stuff– ~~(I'm sorry but I can't help but imagine maybe Elias telling what happened to Lanyon later, and Lanyon just like: "😨😰")~~

And Mind Jekyll sort of teases him with an overly sweet tone, and says something how they can't leave just yet, to at least let him have a waltz before that and then them just waltzing and stuff. And maybe at one side it just feels very nostalgic because it makes him think of back when ~~he~~ Lanyon and Jekyll had their affair, or when Lanyon was teaching Jekyll hoe to waltz. But those memories keep getting drowned out by everything else that's going on. AND WHAT IF ELIAS FEELS AS IF THE TICKING OF THE CLOCK IS GROWING LOUDER AS WELL AND ADDING ONTO EVERYTHING ELSE, AND MIND JEKYLL JUST KEEPS TAUNTING HIM BUT AT THAT POINT ELIAS CAN'T DISTINGUISH WHETHER IF ALL THOSE THINGS ARE HIS THOUGHTS OR WHAT SOMEONE ELSE IS SAYING. And then after somehow getting away from that ((and probably having a breakdown)) he just decides that he's never coming back there, and that he refuses to ever go into his mindscape ever since, and that he'll stay outside even if he or Lanyon are sick of each other because anything is better than that?? (Also, what if at one point they just. Lock him somewhere nearby the ballroom, and so Elias can still hear what's going on out there but he's locked and can't do anything except try to get out and listen to everything going on, and maybe he eventually gets out just because Lanyon drank the potion??)

BONUS POINTS!! Elias ends up running off to get away from Jekyll and Jekyll genuinely has no damn clue what to do and just sorta stands there super awkwardly for a while before looking for him. In that time, Elias has already hidden himself away somewhere, now stuck with just Lanyon as he absolutely melts down, drowning Lanyons words out with babbled explanations and questions and apologies. Eventually, Lanyon *does* in fact start feeling kinda bad and awkward and actually starts helping the best he can

If Elias gets forced into the mindscape after the ballroom fiasco he would definitely tread the mindscape more carefully. He'd probably hide in rooms and such, deciding that the loneliness was better than dealing with all of that (or something worse) again, and if he does come across mind Jekyll, he'd probably try to run off and hide, or at least try to lose him.

Mmmm, Elias angst 🤭🤭 also!! Mind Jekyll would probably also be a poison enjoyer. I feel like Lanyon would be slightly scared of real Jekylls poison cabinet, bc why tf does that man need so many poisons, and have an underlying fear of taking any sort of potion from Jekyll. That's also probably intensified after he, ya know, takes one that splits him in two? But yeah, Mind Jekyll definitely encompasses that, lmao

But yeah, Elias does NOT get to have fun in the Mindscape. But hey, at least his clothes are comfy! And when he's in shadow/mirror form, he usually can't hear the pocket watch ticking, unless he's alone.

Foaming at the mouth over the recent DTTW update. Snail. Hon. Bestie. Sebastian and Irie getting locked in the closet and almost being found out was SO good (Sam definitely suspects them there's no way he doesn't), and I love how transparent Sam and Abby are even though they think they're being so sneaky lmfao

And Sebastian being kind of civil with Alex had me fucking shouting!!!! I love it!! Never mind his very awkward attempts at aftercare, he's trying so hard n I love it!! His growth is awesome to read through, him and Irie are taking up all of my brain space right now bro.

ALSO using the abandoned community center as the haunted house was fucking brilliant, I've never considered that but it's so good!

Also while I'm on the topic, I have to commend you for how you write all of these relationships. I know I told you forever ago that your work with Aspen and Sebastian was what got me into writing for this fandom in the first place, but I have to point out how cool it is that you've explored so many different character aspects for Sebastian simply by switching his relationship dynamic with both of your OCs.

Where he was nervous and cute and so pathetically head over heels and SWEET with Aspen, his relationship with Irie and the way they butt heads is just as interesting to read. How are you so good at writing four-dimensional characters that actually feel like people, it's genuinely so impressive.

I feel like it reflects real relationships so well, because depending on where or under what circumstances you meet a person, your entire perspective and opinion of them is liable to change, you know? If Sebastian hadn't known Aspen and already been so attached to her, it could've changed their whole relationship, right? AND THE SAME CAN BE SAID FOR IRIE.

Ugh. It's so good. I love your fics, I love your characters, your brain is beautiful. Much love, moot, I can't wait to see where you take all of this. <3333

One of the most interesting things for me is to ask myself how a person might deal with an issue and why. Just putting guys in situations. Nothing gives me a better case of the teehee’s than writing a character making a bad decision on purpose.

so, kyle's origin is the most interesting and compelling to me, but in order to fully understand his start, we need a bit of context.

Hal Jordan. ya know him ya love him or maybe you cant stand his ass. he'd been The Green Lantern for decades!! but suddenly its the 80s. and he's exhausted. he's worn down and tired. and the 80's are like a minefield for him as he tries to find what he wants to do with his life. feeling lost and beaten down (both metaphorically and literally). then theres a reign of the supermen crossover thing where Mongul destroys the entirety of Coast City

7 million people dead in an instant, a lot of which were Hal's friends, family and neighbors. He grew up there and suddenly it's all gone and it's just a crater left. It breaks that final thread for him and he creates a massive construct of the city. The Guardians (the corps bosses) HATE this because rings aren't supposed to be used for personal reasons, so they revoke his ring.

Hal gets pissed and runs back to Oa in an attempt to argue with them... and it turns deadly. VERY deadly. Out of the 3000-4000 lanterns, only a handful survive Hal's rampage. He kills every Guardian except one (Ganthet), and absorbs the power from the central battery.

Anyways, long story short, Kyle is literally at the club and walks outside to get some fresh air and Ganthet goes "you'll have to do i guess" and gives him it. LMAO yeah that's his origin story. 100% CHANCE AND LUCK. it's fucking awesome. because it's completely different from all the other lanterns, who are chosen specifically by the guardians and the rings. like John and Guy for example. Guy was the second choice for Hal, but happened to be further away when Abin Sur (Hal's predecessor) died. John was then Hal's replacement. (I haven't read a whole lot about them since i'm working my way through some other runs, but thats the gist of it!)

Kyle, on the other hand, was completely alone, untrained, and also caught up in the middle of a cosmic massacre. It's really fun watching him figure things out and the ups and downs of his life. to me, being a 20-something year old art major too, his story resonates extremely deeply with me. Ron Marz has some AMAZING writing too. Highly recommend reading Green Lantern 1990 (kyle's run starts at around #50). It's super fun and engaging and we get to see Parallax (Hal) vs Kyle and how sometimes violence really genuinely isn't the answer, and sometimes people just need a friend to talk to. it's so freaking awesome

I realize I now have someone to chatter about Twst to. During the Fairy Gala Remix event I kept pulling on Ortho’s banner as I want pretty butterfly robo boy, his aesthetics are awesome. Yet I ended up pulling two different SSR cards which feels wild since I didn’t hit pity/100 and Ortho has a higher pull rate since it’s his banner! First few pulls I got Idia’s dorm uniform. Awesome yet wild as I was trying to pull for that last banner since that was his dorm uniform release banner. I really wanted it for his debuff removal spell.

Yet his line when being summoned is basically saying I’m unlucky to pull him; (sir debuff removal sounds seriously strong) which I couldn’t help but interpret as the game telling me that I will not be getting Ortho.

Then in my last few pulls I got Azul’s dorm uniform?! And his summon line is along the lines of how he’s being so nice to come to me. Which I took as the game saying I really wont be getting Ortho but you keep pulling so take this to stop.

Never did get Fairy Gala Ortho, but Azul and Idia SSRs did keep me from being too sad about it. I guess Idia doesn’t want me near Ortho and has enlisted Azul’s help. Like I even have most of Idia’s cards, but not a single SR nor SSR of Ortho. (Maybe if I stopped thinking about the three different occasions Ortho nearly killed people, Idia would let me hang out.)

Currently I have my home screen set to the VIP Lounge and Azul’s dorm uniform. He has a line that invites us to the vip lounge which is funny since Sir, we’re already here.

like that's why takane gets opening eyes in the first place!!!!! opening eyes was the ability that was allowing azami to appear before others inside the daze and once she gives it to takane, azami is at the brink of disappearance (holds head remembering azami keeps giving out her snakes as a way to save as much people as possible even if it means dying BUT THATS NOT WHAT WERE TALKING ABOUT) but this translates into takane as well. like even if she is dead she wants to be out here. she will make a place for herself. takane has the will to live, and will always make it out of anywhere as long as she's got herself, even if she's alone. she literally projects herself into existence even when dead thats how damn stubborn she is. determined to tell haruka her feelings as SOON as she realises them without thinking of what that means for their relationship because that's just not her priority, her priority is to let him know in the first place. AUUUGGHH. So one day during school i was listening to this right

And I thought as i was drawing Acorn in a old notebook: hey what if i drew acorn in this dudes idle?

It was awesome

it gave me a lore idea

So what I thought was that the one short cutscene in the song is DEFINITELY the Lore 10 part of Acorn, as he was weak and pathetic in that state

the rest of the song is the lore 12 part, as Acorn goes through some yu yu hakusho ass shit in lore 11 to come back to life, and while hes doing this, Blade (a dude who REALLY wants to torture and kill Acorn, and who i imagine to be BF in this song) murders Acorn’s ‘brother’, Nuzbot, and his cousin, Oswald due to Acorn and Piccolo (acorns uncle who died of a painkiller overdose around tge same time) not being to protect the Seedot Treehouse at the time

Acorn doesn’t like this, so in lore 12, he actually comes back at his full strength, finally, after like ~10 years, beats tge shit outta Blade, which causes Blade to finally leave him alone for a while

chloe. her story is about how shes a femme fatale who's practically the union leader of her town's sex workers despite not being one herself. "Her Girls" start disappearing and she beats up the guys kidnapping them. very pro-swer-rights

zenia. she used to make potent poisons for commissions that she knew were being used to kill people. eventually she decided she had enough and ran away, changing her name and trying to make healing tonics instead. she's silly

odette. side character from ot1 with too little screen time and my favorite ot woman. autistic coded, best friend of cyrus, (but her cotc story is not about him). her story is about how she's been taking in and teaching impoverished children and trying to raise them without violence while researching an ancient ritual for summoning rain (setting is a desert town). she's so funny and i love her so much

tithi's story is footloose if footloose included beating up cops. she returns to a town she left where dancing is banned and just. starts dancing and runs away or fights whenever the cops try to stop her. eventually she beats up one of the aristocrats and theyre like oh my fucking god iv had enough of you fine whatever. she's silly and sweet and i like her

dorothea is a socialist merchant. shes a nepo baby who found everything but her parents casino boring so she just left. she likes gambling and makes this her career by seeing investments as a form of it. she goes to visit one of her friends and finds out theres some asshole overpricing the only cure to a mysteriously localized illness. she threatens the guy making the poison into making her a ton of the cure then tricks the asshole into giving her literally all of his money. then beats him up. and invests the money back into the towns recovery and her friends hobby. shes so funny and clever "i poisoned this wine btw. ill give you the cure for your entire net worth. awesome thanks. jk i wouldnt ruin such good wine. teehee"

Aedelgard and Sarisa!!!!! are two women who are in each others traveler stories bc they were released as a trio with Yukes (her servant, boy, so doesnt matter here). aedelgard is a princess of a small nation and she has a lot of siblings. she's her father's favorite bc shes silly and kind so her siblings all hate her to various degrees. her story is about a tournament she participates in for funsies where one of her brothers tries to rig it against her and fails. sarisa's story is. super gay subtext. they're yuri. sarisa is her maid who was taken in by another of aedelgards brothers and assigned to her. she has "many talents" from tea to killing people. her story starts with her fighting thieves targeting aedelgard and fighting a guy who bought all the best sugar to resell bc she wants to get better at baking. then aedelgards brother shows up and tries to assassinate her. sarisa instinctively dismantles the trap herself despite her owing her life to him, justifying it by telling him that "that wouldnt have been strong enough to kill her." so he tells her she should assassinate aedelgard, because she "wouldnt question" poison given to her by sarisa. comedy scene where your set protag thinks the tea sarisa gives aedelgard is poisoned but its just not. protag confronts her about how clearly she is having a conflict about this (the brother has the trope line of "you havent grown attached to her, have you?") and she doesnt know why she wont kill her. yukes finds them to say that aedelgard was invited to her brothers house and sarisa goes Fuck. Shit. and you go there. andits. auughmhm. sarisa runs to where aedelgard is and she is just. chilling. shes used to her siblings wanting to kill her. and her brother tells sarisa this is her last chance to kill aedelgard herself otherwise he will. and she TRIES. she walks up to her and stares at her and has a breakdown. aedelgard says some really gay shit and sarisa turns on the brothers guards and fights them. aedelgard implied she spares her brothers life because she wouldnt have met sarisa without him. (!!!!!!!) and then she asks sarisa to make her some awful fucking cakes and they leave. ("i'll make as many as you want!") i love them soooo much.
