Summary: You like someone, but you have no idea how they feel about you, so using your brilliant deduction skills, you attempt to figure it out. (Too bad you kept missing the signals till they're right in your face.)

It's not like you doubt Asmo doesn't like you, that'd be obvious.

You just don't think he's held you in any special regard compared to his fans.

I mean, look at him, he's always surrounded by lesser demons, and most of them have probably spent longer than you chasing him, maybe there's even someone out there that's his type you know?

How could a human even compete with that?

But there's no time start like the present right? You're not backing down from a fight, especially not this one.

Lucky for you, a talent show is coming up, and the prize just so happens to be 2 tickets for a 3-day paid trip to a hotel resort.

This was your chance, all you need is to win those tickets, and get Asmo to go with you.

Mission: Capture Asmo's heart, begin!

With a determined heart in place, you first need to capture your first objective: Asmo's cooperation

Sure, you could go and participate in this competition yourself, surprising Asmo with the tickets, but this is a competition where one can show themselves off, now wouldn't that be something right up the Avatar of Lust's alley?

You're about to invite Asmodeus to participate, and, as it turns out, he's already signed up for it, and he wants you to help him out!

How could you say no?

As you two prepare for the competition, he plans out many different ways to perform, from singing to dancing, to even thinking about having a one man beauty pageant (again).

At that point you should remind him that the time limit per participant isn't enough for a runaway show, so he opts for singing instead.

You decide to help him with the music production and practice on the guitar, although he insisted on keeping the lyrics a secret from you.

You don't notice the subtle glances he gives you, and the way the mood of his performance lit up whenever you were around, regardless of the presence of anyone else.

To be honest, you were so wrapped up in the competition you didn't pay much attention to how he stares at you while you concentrate, the way he gravitates instantly to you, away from whatever he was doing before, whenever you step into the room.

During a certain afternoon, as you both were taking a break, Asmo glanced at you and smiled.

"Hey MC, when it's my time to perform, just keep your eyes only on me, okay?"

At was the start of his performance, the hall was swammed with lesser demons cheering for him, but his eyes were scanning the crowds for your face.

He didn't mind being the centre of attention at all, but the longing in his heart desired only your attention.

When his eyes finally met yours, he felt his heart soar, and as the strings of the guitar were strung, he finally started his serenade...

It was only after the entire performance, as you were swallowed by a waving, roaring (and crying) crowd, you realised something.

Thoughtout the entire performance, Asmo's gaze had never left yours.

You head backstage to congratulate him, and you see him seating down, panting and holding a bottle of water, the high from performing still settling in.

As you approach him, a congratulations ready, he launches himself towards you-!

"MC! How'd you like it? I wrote it with you in mind!"

Asmo is nuzzling his cheek in the crook of your neck, looking up at you again, you can see a hint of fatigue in his eyes, beads of pespiration still glistening from his forehead. His smile wide and wide eyes reflecting the white ceiling lights.

You didn't see the incoming peck until it hit you quite literally in the face. On your cheek. With his lips.

"Hmm~ Sorry, you just looked so cute, I just couldn't resist~"

Well, the way this is going, seems like the tickets are just a bonus now.

You aren't going to let him get away with that, right?

Pac: [Pinches his nose so he has a nasally voice] Hi friends, welcome to class. I'm going to talk like that, ok? I'll even turn off the facecam, because today, I'm going to– I'm kidding, no no no.

Pac: Man, this skin is really cool, it really is. I think that this– I'm gonna use this more often, man. [Reading chat] "Halloween is over" Guys, this– This is who I am now! Who I am– This is me now, I'm this person here.

[Red text appears on the screen saying "30 seconds to change"]

Pac: "30 seconds to change–" Hang on, what is this?! No– calma, what is–? Guys, for the love of god–

[Another warning appears saying "20 seconds to change"]

Pac: No!!! No! No no no! No no no! You can't do this! You can't do this here. You- you can't. You can't make me change my skin.

[A final warning appears saying "10 seconds to change"]

Pac: No– You can't, I won't take it off! I'm going to my class now, I have to go to class! This is my "studying" skin! I- I–

[Pac gets banned]

Pac: [Hits his desk]

Dono: The skinmakers in chat are crying, having heart attacks, collapsing. It's horrible, dude.

Pac: [Laughs] It's not that ugly, it's fine, it's good.

Himaru: [Long pause] ...What happened to you, man? Did you get run over?

Pac: [Laughs] Don't judge me, don't judge me! Ok? Look at- look at- look at JVNQ! He has a funny face too, but nobody says anything about it!

seeing a speedrun of botw all dungeons and even like that .... its so strange how soulless totk feels to me when botw didnt, allthough it feels much flatter to me now since i know there wasnt any thought put into the things i thought were meaningful and that it will go nowhere in the end

and yet still it feels like its got soul that totk just hasnt; botw is far from perfect, like everything really, but totk to me really feels like a clunky grind game with no trust in the player at all, be it puzzles or 'story', and a fundamental missunderstanding of why botws world design and structure worked well as a whole in the end

i honestly still cant quite understand how on earth botw got totk as its 'sequel', all the things that needed work in botw where neglected or made worse totk while it also failed to follow up on literally anything in a meaningful way- when i still think the changes it needed where so OBVIOUS and the directions to follow up and expand on things to enhance not just the sequel but also botw in retrospect where so plenty and ready for the taking, it hurts me still even to think about it not being done and everything really being actively thrown away for NOTHING or things that make it AND botw WORSE in retrospect instead

i wont ever be able to forgive that, and some part of me hopes that this is the worst that they will ever do so at least we will get better games again in the future

I hate the stretch lines in the front of Curly's uniform because that means the devs rushed to make a model in like a month or so and thought "They gotta at least know he has huge knockers, gotta know he's got back pain." Cause like what is the thematic importance of his tits having overhang?

While Loki may be up to some shit, I still trust him. Honestly, I'm just a sucker for a Loki with a soft spot for Peter. But also, Peter & Dick made it sound like the only reason Peter was trusting Loki was because he was from Peter's worldline, BUT that's completely dismissing Peter's spidey sense which has declared Loki a friend.

Like, that's important!!!! The sense doesn't just react to who Peter trusts either, bc when he was cautious of the bats his spidey sense still labelled them friends. I'm pretty sure that while Loki is definitely up to something, he doesn't mean Peter any real harm. Especially since the spidey sense only seems to call those who want to help (and probably hold some form of care for) Peter friends. I trust the spidey sense more than anything.

If I'm being honest, whether or not all of what Loki said was true, he does have a big point on that they didn't and don't tell Peter crucial information. I'm a big advocate for actually explaining to kids WHY they should not do something rather than just telling them not to. Like, y'know, Peter's whole misunderstanding with why the avengers don't like Loki.

Keeping Peter in the dark is a terrible idea. Especially since as a super powered, mutant, vigilante he'll need to actually know things. I always like these sort of conflicts in texts, where an adult's wish to keep a kid ignorant for their own good actually endangers them. Like in the Harry Potter books, when Molly tries to keep the kids out of the Order meetings, despite it directly affecting Harry and in conjunction the others. (Harry is kept ignorant of most things in those books and it does NOT help). People should know of threats and dangers to themselves in detail, ESPECIALLY KIDS. Peter deserves to be involved in "adult business" because it directly affects him.

ANYWAY,, thank you for another great chapter!!! I love Loki he's such a little shit and so is Peter. They could be besties.

Loki's definitely up to something, but you're pretty damn closes anon!! Peter hadn't picked up on it but a big part of his trust was that his spider sense hadn't felt a danger around Loki at any point. He's just upset about something. But Loki definitely has his own goals in mind and it might still cause a rift

As for the Avengers (teehee) I feel bad because they were definitely supposed to talk about it this chapter but I didn't have room. There's a lot in play about the adults wanting to keep Peter safe but misinterpreting 'safe' as not knowing the larger details about what they're doing. It's the root cause of the problem here. However in their defense... Peter got kidnapped and experimented on last time when he learned a big detail like that. He found out someone he cared about died as a result of these kidnappings, and he went looking for them on his own before he was ready. Peter will talk about this in chapter 17 when he tells Dick pretty much his entire life story (in a game of 21 questions again). It'll also be clear to the reader why they'd be nervous about letting Peter know about Loki... He lost his first foster family to the Battle of Manhattan. And Peter has a habit of going "punch first, figure out later." (Pulled that habit directly from the comics)
