Hey so i was wondering if maybe you could possibly write me a smutty story with Klaus like about how even though he turned me made me a hybrid or vampire now he still wants to celebrate my birthday? My birthday is on the 29th of August so its literally 4 days away id love that
Happy Birthday, Sweetheart.
Turning wasn't something I had intended to do or wanted really, it was out of necessity that Klaus had given me his blood and it was an accident that I died with it in my system.
Klaus had convinced me to complete the transition, promising to be there with me and for me throughout the highs and lows of vampirism.
In all fairness, he had been with me but sometimes the lows were really low. Especially when it came round to my supposed to be birthday. However I was never going to get older again, there was no point in blowing out some silly candles and making a wish that would never come true. I couldn't celebrate that I was a year closer to any major life event or be able to talk about stupid things like a slight pay rise as I get older.
So when I woke up, and checked to see the dreaded date, I didn't bother getting out of bed. Well not until I felt an arm round my waist, pulling me back against a firm body. My eyes cracked open when his deep voice rumbled from behind my ear.
"Happy birthday, sweetheart." He muttered, a kiss pressed to the back of my ear and then my cheek before I was rolled over to face him. My face was level with his as he brushed the tip of his nose over mine and I groaned.
"Can we just not?" I mumbled, my voice croaky from sleep but I knew he got it as his brows pulled together and his eyes crinkled ever so slightly at the edges.
"No, we definitely will." He argued, his face returning to relaxed again as he pecked my lips. "Believe it or not but we all still celebrate our birthdays, Rebekah insists upon it."
"Were calendars even a thing back then?" I ask, still just about coherent and he hummed.
"No...but we had our ways to know...or perhaps we simply chose our birthdays a few years down the line. Nevertheless we celebrate and I refuse to let you go without." He whispered, kissing my temple and offering a smile.
"I've been here ages and haven't seen any of your birthdays, you're lying." I murmured, eyes narrowed.
"Well..." He sighed, a click to his tongue. "We celebrate as often as we can, the past couple months or so have been very complicated to say the least."
"Fine but I better see you with a birthday hat and badge on- when was your birthday?" I question and he sighed.
"March time. Doesn't matter, it isn't about me. This is about you. Now come, the festivities have only just began." He teased before both arms were hoisting me up and over his shoulder like a rag doll making me whine.
"Klaus!" I squirmed but only for a second, I wasn't awake enough to fight him. His hand patted my ass playfully as he carried me out of our room, making my body tense but he shushed me.
"I won't let anyone see this pretty little behind of yours." He chuckled, bringing me down the stairs and spinning me round and placing me on the breakfast stool. My head spun a little, attempting to adjust as a warm plate was placed in front of me by a softly smiling Elijah.
"Congratulations on your birthday, Y/N." He uttered, keeping his voice quiet which I appreciated before Rebekah's voice bellowed out.
"For christs sake Elijah! Just say normal things like 'happy birthday'!" She tutted, rolling her eyes and dropping down beside me. "Happy birthday, darling. It'll be spectacularly, I guarantee." She grinned and I could feel the dread forming as I pushed a smile to my face and bit the end of some bacon to keep my mouth preoccupied so I wouldn't have to find any words to keep the magic of my fantastic birthday alive.
Klaus's hand ruffled my hair, his chuckle a distant sound in the air as he left the room. My head turned to find him but Rebekah was nudging my side.
"Don't look, he's going to get your presents. Keep eating, and try to contain your excitement." She practically bounced beside me, smile brighter than ever as she pulled out a party horn and blew it in my face.
Just seconds later an elastic band snapped under my chin, a card hat on top my head and Hayley kissing my cheek before catching my ear. "Just go with it, it'll get better." She whispered and I listened.
By the time I had finished my breakfast, Klaus was behind me.
I had just slipped off the stool, Elijah had already taken my plate and when I turned around there was an array of differently shaped and sized presents wrapped and displayed across the room. Klaus standing infront of them, slowly coming towards me with a hand outstretched.
I took it after a second and let him lead me over, arms going round me from behind as he lifted the first gift to my hands. "Please...just enjoy yourself." He whispered, nose in my neck.
Presents took a while. By the end I couldn't be upset. Klaus knew me like an open book and had hit every mark possible. Bringing me to tears several times with extra special gifts.
Which was why my face was buried in his chest, eyes closed and fingers curled around his henley as he kissed the top of my head.
I found myself back upstairs soon after, stripped bare and soaking peacefully in the bathtub whilst Rebekah and Hayley yelled through the next room, going on about the party they had planned.
The dress Rebekah had designed fit like a glove and I couldn't deny how beautiful I felt in it, especially once the girls had done my hair and makeup.
"Everything's perfect." Bekah uttered, hands fixing the last few strands and checking the hairspray had set.
"Klaus is gonna go crazy." Hayley whistled and my eyes rolled though a smile pulled at my face.
They were right too, he was all over me as soon as I got to the bottom of the staircase. Lips kissing mine and hands on my hips, gripping them like he usually does in the depths of our room.
"Happy birthday, my love." He whispered and I hummed before adjusting his bowtie.
"You are adorable when you dress up." I teased and he smirked.
"You may never cease to surprise me with your...unique compliments for me." He chuckled and I hummed, kissing him again.
"Lets go dance." I whispered and he shook his head with a grin.
"Birthday toasts, my love." He told me and I groaned softly as I pulled him over to where everyone was spinning each other around happily. He relented of course and gave into a few dances before pulling me onto the stair case and having me held to his side whilst he toasted my birthday before his siblings and Hayley followed. All expressing their appreciation and love for me.
It was quite lovely actually. I was glad to have celebrated my birthday when I hugged each of them before we all got back on the floor.
So many people had brought me gifts, said such kind words and I had to wonder if they were compelled but I didn't even care by the end of the day when Klaus had me held against the wall. Mouth on my neck, sucking his beautiful marks into my skin and hands bunching up my dress.
I could still hear the music and chatter of guests just a wall over as his fingers stroked their way up my thighs. I could feel the warmth spreading through my body. I clung onto his suit jacket, tugging relentlessly with need as I tried to contain the moans that clawed up my throat.
A gasp escaped me as his teeth bit my skin, not his vampire teeth but his human ones. Not quite making me bleed but still breaking the skin.
I tried to pull him closer, my legs pulling at his waist letting me feel how hard he was against me.
"Oh god" I breathed, my eyes looking down quickly but all I could see was dress as he ground himself against me.
"You have no idea how badly I want to take you right now." He whispered and I moaned softly.
"God..yes, do it." I begged and he hummed.
"Not yet...you need your gift." He muttered before he was holding the backs of my thighs tightly. I glanced at him, confused before groaning softly as he got down to his knees and placed both my legs over his shoulders.
"Klaus..." I whispered as his head was completely covered by the skirt of my dress.
Despite not being able to see him, there was absolutely no doubt he was there as the heat of his treasured mouth kissed my wetness through my thong. God he was good, he was always so good.
If euphoria were a person, it would be Klaus.
He knew exactly what to do, how to touch, how to love me so good that I love myself too.
My hands pressed to the walls around and my head went back to rest. He was pure heat between my legs and he made my legs shake against my will.
"One day you're gonna really kill me." I whispered, my words a blur as I felt my back arch off of the wall behind. I could feel his lips move against my cunt as he mumbled something back. The wet vibrations of his mouth making my insides twist delightfully. "God- fuck!" I cried as he chuckled, only adding to the intensity.
A laugh escaped him whilst he pulled his face away though my dress still hid him from my view.
"You'll alert the whole party if you keep screaming sweetheart." He reminded and I nodded in acknowledgment. My mouth closed in an attempt to muffle my sounds as the warm touch of his fingers stroked my pussy tauntingly.
I felt blood pool my mouth when my fangs sunk into my own tongue in time with his fingers plunging inside me. He made my nails penetrate my palms; a shiver to run down my spine.
My mind drew a blank at the methodic pump of his fingers, each curl and stroke hitting so unbelievably perfect that I seemed to be falling apart before he'd truly even started.
His laugh was amused and teasing as my legs were dropped to his waist where both his hands grabbed my thighs.
"I'm very serious when I tell you that the entirety of next door just heard you my love." He grinned before lifting my as he got to his feet and carried me to our room.
I was dropped to the bed with a soft thud, his body covering me like a blanket would as he nuzzled beneath my ear. "You know...I sincerely considered wearing a ribbon for you, my love." He murmured making me giggle at the idea.
"Oh yeah? Where would you have worn it?" I teased, my hands lifting to cup his face; my thumbs brushing over his stubble. "What part of you would I have gotten to unwrap." I whispered and a soft rumble travelled through his body.
No words left him as I felt my dress be tugged, a quick rough tug which caused a loud tear to sound through the room. I didn't have to look to know the extent of his damage, the cool air spreading down my front told me enough. His hands pulled the loose material away, leaving me completely bare beneath him. Open to him in all ways.
"Must you always break things?" I whined, despite not truly being annoyed.
"Oh love. I don't break things, I ruin them." He uttered, his words sharp on his tongue as his calloused hand stroked the side of my face. "Now lay back, my love, and let me ruin you."
I knew it wasn't a question but a demand and a demand that shot straight to my core.
The silence rang as I laid back, head against the pillows.
I accepted my fate wholeheartedly, and under no circumstances would I even consider skipping out on my birthday next year if I knew this was coming.

Klonnie Weekend Day 3: Trapped
(Ight y'all stick with me. I provided pictures so that y'all could see my vision. This is a human au btw)
Bonnie and Klaus quickly rushed through the Salvatore mansion, looking for a quick place to hide. The cops had shown up to bust a party so everyone had to scatter before they even made it inside. Bonnie quickly snatched open the door to one of the many bedrooms and shut it. She turned the ceiling light off and opted to turn on a lamp instead. Klaus held in a laugh as he shook his head. He pressed his ear to the door, trying to see if they could hear any radio chatter. He assumed they were far enough away to be safe. They managed to make it up to the top floor and down to the end of the hall without drawing attention.
“Hear anything?” Bonnie whispered as he held his hand up. “I think we should be good.” Klaus smiled as he looked at her. She crossed her arms as she looked at him. Bonnie didn’t really want to come to the party but she let her boyfriend talk her into it. It was those damn blue eyes. She knew that parties at the Salvatore mansion got busted because the Salvatore’s lived in an uppity neighborhood. “Oh come on baby, It’s not like the cops caught us.” Klaus said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “I know but I can hear the news now. ‘Mayor’s daughter busted at the infamous Salvatore party house.’ I really don’t want to hear my dad’s mouth about it either.” Bonnie pouted as she crossed her arms.
“I know I know but I promised we wouldn’t get caught and we won’t” He grinned as he looked at her. He leaned in to press kisses to her lips, knowing that it always calmed her down. “Fine I guess.” She sighed against his lips before kissing back. He smiled into the kiss as he pulled her closer. She gently pushed away from him, shaking her head. “Nope, not while the cops are looking for people in obvious hiding spots.” She hummed before looking up at him. “Fine, fine, How about we find something to do in here.” Klaus said as he looked around the room for anything to do. He saw a closet in the corner and he opened it to see multiple board games hidden inside. He pulled out a deck of uno cards before smirking at her.
“Wanna get your ass kicked in Uno?” He hummed as he walked towards her and sat on the ground. “Fine, you’re on but be prepared to lose.” Bonnie shrugged as she looked at him. He began to pass the cards out between the two of them and he looked at his hand before looking at her. “Rules?” He asked as she looked at her hand as well. “Normal Uno, that means no stacking draw 2’s on top of draw 4’s” Bonnie said as Klaus pressed his hand to his chest. “You want to play the wrong way I see.” He said before letting her go first.
After about an hour or so of playing Uno Bonnie let out a sigh before laying on her back. “I’m officially bored Klaus…what other games are there?” She asked as she looked over at him. He stood up and looked back at the closet before pulling out a few options. “There is The Game of Life, Monopoly, Azul, Scrabble-” Klaus started before she sat up and pointed at him. “Oooo bring scrabble! Also The Game of Life. I remember kicking ass in that game when I was younger.” Bonnie said as she sat up again. Klaus gave her a look before shaking his head and laughing. “What’s so funny, chuckles?” Bonnie asked as she crossed her arms.
“Beating Grams in a board game when you were a kid doesn’t count as kicking ass. It was either let you win or deal with a pouty child.” Klaus teased as Bonnie pouted. “I will have you know that I was a very emotionally intelligent 8 year old and did not pout when I lost games.” She said, matter of factly. “Okay, we’ll play that first, since you wanna lose so bad.” Klaus smirked as he sat down with three different games in his hands. “Azul? What’s that?” She asked as she picked up the box. “It’s a really cool tile game. Elijah brought it home from his trip back home. He said he played it with our cousins and loved it.” Klaus said as he looked at her. “Plus we played a few rounds just the two of us and it was pretty nice.” He smiled before setting up the Game of Life.
After almost an hour of playing Klaus was far ahead of Bonnie. “I think you are cheating.” Bonnie said as she crossed her arms, “I am not. I just know how to prioritize.” He boasted as she rolled her eyes again. “That or cheating.” She repeated as he rolled his eyes playfully. “I’m sensing a lot of jealousy.” He teased before she threw a spare card at him. “Hey, you’re the one who sucks.” Klaus laughed before Bonnie grabbed the pieces and began to put them away. “Oops the board was ruined, guess we gotta start on a new game.” Bonnie shrugged as Klaus fell back with laughter. Once he finally calmed down he grabbed Azul and sat it between them.
Bonnie was still confused after listening to Klaus explainthe rules, though she’d never admit it. She just nodded and looked at her board, assuming she’d understand it on her own. Once they started playing she started to understand more through watching him. He was clearly taking it easy on her and she wanted to play that to her advantage. After a while she began to easily win without him even noticing. “What does it mean when I cover all my patterns?” Bonnie asked in the fourth round before he looked at her dumbfounded. “What do you mean?” He asked before he looked at her board. Bonnie had managed to cover every square. “I guess it means you’ve won.” Klaus smiled before leaning in to peck her lips.
“Granted it was because I was taking it easy on you, I will consider it a solid win.” He hummed before he leaned in and kissed her again. Bonnie heard the door open and she quickly pulled away, thinking it was the cops. She was fully prepared to explain that all they were doing was playing games before she was face to face with Stefan. “Oh…you two are still here?” He asked, completely confused. Most of the people from the party had managed to scatter, including Stefan. “Yeah? Why?” Klaus asked before he looked around. He could see the sun peeking through the curtains before Bonnie grabbed her phone and looked at the time. “Holy shit it's 7 am.” Bonnie said as she checked her missed calls and messages. Only a few from her friends but thankfully none from her father. Klaus quickly stood up and helped Bonnie up.
“We should be on our way then. Have fun Stef.” Klaus smiled as Stefan rolled his eyes and waved them off. Bonnie thanked her lucky stars that she still lived on campus. Klaus began to drive her to his place, wanting to change before they had to drive to meet her dad. “So, should we attempt to get at least an hour nap in before we get on the road or should we just get on the road?” He asked as Bonnie looked out the window. “We can afford a three hour nap but we have to be on the road by 11:30 and take the shortcuts to get to my dad’s place in time for lunch.” Bonnie mumbled as she closed her eyes to try and get some sleep now.

Taste of sin - Part 4 Klaus
Taste of sin - Kol calls Elijah to help prevent Silas's return instead Elijah falls. Klaus cleans up after Kol's rampage and attempts to deal with a new world.
Set TVD Season 4 Episode 13
---
Klaus lays Kol on the floor gently after a few moments and stares, his last brother left, the one he had half mourned before he realised the truth.
Kol hadn’t fought when he daggered him, his little brother was never that subdued, it was why he had always needed Elijah’s help before.
‘Lijah, Kol had sounded so young and lost, Klaus would be lying if he didn’t feel the same but he cou;dn’t allow himself anymore of that.
Elijah was gone, Kol and Rebekah were all he had left, they were his responsibility. First he needed to get free of the barrier, get Kol somewhere safe, clear up Kol’s latest rampage and the sheet covered body dragged his eyes back to it.
He needed to deal with that, give his brother the proper respect instead of leaving him on the dirty floor.
He died alone because of you. A voice that sounded like Mikael hissed. Klaus swallowed and ran a hand over Kol’s chest to remind himself he still had one brother, he couldn’t let himself fall into despair, he’d be letting Elijah down if he didn’t make sure their family was safe.
Besides he’d make sure Elijah wasn’t alone again, Klaus already had a coffin-
A phone alert dragged his attention from his morbid thoughts and he moved his hand to pull a phone from Kol’s pocket.
He stared at the notifications of a dozen failed calls to Elijah, what had drawn Kol to the Gilberts house and the realisation that Elijah phone had likely burned with him and no one would ever get thought to him.
Never hear his voice again.
He cleared his throat, the sound loud in the silence of the house, to fight the sudden tightness, ignored the passcode to enter a number to know off by heart and waited as it rung.
“Hello?” came the voice after several moment.
“Hello Stefan, would you put Miss Bennet on?” he asked nicely, thinking of Elijah’s insistence on manners.
“What do you want?”
“I told you, Bonnie.” he replied simply as he noticed the Gilbert’s floor was ruined, first burnt and now with the blood soaking into it.
Burning it down would be doing them a favour.
“Klaus.” Stefan hissed quietly, but Klaus caught his name being echoed in confusion, one of the voices being his sister’s.
He smothered the flare of panic at Rebekah being alone with Elijah’s murderers, clearly they never told her the change of circumstance of whose death allowed them to find the cure, so she was safe as long as she was working with them. He curled his fist and took a breath at the betrayal and let it out slowly, still her being there gave him leverage.
“Break the spell and release the barrier” he offered “or the next person I call will be Rebekah, while I'm sure she’s working with you under the belief it’s Kol’s sire line that fed the map. I doubt she would feel the same if knew the truth.”
“She cares more for the cure.” Stefan tried but the doubt was audible, because even from the outside of their family, Elijah wasn’t Kol.
“You really think that?” he almost laughed, the three of them had been together but he knew Rebekah had alway run to one person before him. It was the same person he turned to, the one Kol had apparently done this time and it had cost them him. “Fine.” he grinned, “Enjoy watching her reenactment Kol’s reaction with the rest of your remaining friends.”
“What do you want?” The witch in question demanded as her voice replaced Stefan’s, he wondered if Stefan had left to draw his sister away so she couldn’t hear him.
He couldn’t tell Rebekah the truth, take away Klaus’ power but he knew Rebekah, and Stefan knew enough to know that doing so would cost them the cure.
“Break your spell and release me.” he ordered.
“Why? So you can attack my friends.” she asked.
“A bit late for that love.” he chuckled.
“What do you- where’s Caroline?” the muttering around the witch went silent.
“With Tyler, I can describe the scene if you like or you can remember them as they were, in one piece.” he smiled at the sound of her sob, it froze as his eyes landed on the sheet covered body. “Something I didn't get with my brother.” He added coldly.
There was silence as he heard her on the other end of the call telling those with her to ring the missing.
He held the call to the edge of the barrier as two separate cells started to ring, and ring and ring as there was no one to answer them.
“If you wanted proof I could have sent you a photo.” he said as the ringing died.
“Where’s Kol now?“ the witch hissed as she re-gathered herself.
“Daggered, so he didn’t go off on a rampage and reduce your town to the horror film set.” he told them lightly “now release this barrier so I can take my brother out of this house and lay him somewhere with more respect or I'll have little else to do other than to call Rebekah and tell her the full truth.”
“You won’t tell her?”
“Not until she returns to Mystic falls,” he admitted, some small part of him wasn’t sure she’d believe him and half of him didn’t want her to, let one of them live in a world Elijah was still alive. “I’ll give you all a chance to explain it to her.”
“We have a deal.” the witch sighed shakily
“You have two minutes to remove the barrier or i’ll be calling her.” he said them, “Oh” her called out before they could hang up “if she comes to any harm by any of your hands,” he warned cheerily “you will be returning to the smoking ruins of a town and anyone you left her with any affection for will be hanging flayed alive from the buildings.”
The barrier vanished within one and Klaus had himself and Kol out of the living room within seconds, carrying Kol back to where he still had his family's coffins to place himself safely within his.
As he laid Kol in it, he shook his head slightly as his vision flickered between all his brothers, Henrik dead, Finn dead twice over, Elijah-
He stepped away and shut it quickly, Kol was safer in it, they had all been safe while they were in them.
He opened Elijah’s one, the least used and froze as he realised this would be the last time he used it, to place Elijah remains in to stay beside Finn and Mother’s, the one who protected their family next to those they had tried to kill them, but he wouldn’t be alone.
They would have been safer if he had never given in to Elijah demands, had he kept them safe inside them, Finn and Elijah would still be alive-
He swallowed the lump in his throat and stopped himself before he could blame Elijah, his brother deserved better than that. He forced himself to step back and left, returning to Gilbert's house.
Elijah deserved so much more but it was too late for most of it, the least he could do was give him the proper respect and remove him from the indignity of the floor.
–
Klaus stares when his phone rings, he collected it when he had returned home with Elijah's body, took it with him when he returned to the gilbert house after he had drunk several bottles of his best alcohol to drown the urge to scream.
He couldn't be in the house while the one that his brother died in still stood.
He had stolen the best quality sheets in the Gilbert house to wrap Elijah’s and Caroline’s body. Her body had been returned to her mother, left on her doorstep to be found in the morning, unpleasant but it was the least he would do.
He had left Tylers’ where it fell, he should be thankful Klaus was cremating him at all and not leaving him outside to rot, but he was his first Hybrid so Klaus would give him that respect.
He answered the call as he dropped the match and agreed to help them find their cure as the fire started to consume the Gilbert house.
He was honest and helpful as the task gave him something else to think of
“Why Nik?” Rebekah asked suspiciously and he hated her for a moment, her voice, the way it was free of the grief he felt crushing him every moment. The knowledge that she was free of the weight of the fact that- that she lived in a world where Elijah still lived.
He hated her for it, envied her for it and desperately didn’t want to be the one to break it.
The absent lost tone in Kol’s voice that was wrong for his wild little brother haunted him as much as how light Elijah’s body was when he placed in it the coffin.
The fact that within the sheet Elijah was a mess and Klaus couldn’t fix that anymore than he could bring him back.
“There is only one dose of the cure.” he told her and hung up.
Klaus broke his family, this was the one piece he couldn’t break, not yet.
Coward Mikael’s voice sneered in his head and Klaus fled his own house to watch Gilbert's burn.

Our little game pt. 3
~Part 1~ ~Part 2~ ~Part 4~ ~Part 5~
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x witch! reader Summary: Thomas has been trying to mend your relationship all weeks leading up to the wedding. You must admit that he was a true, sweet gentleman, but… something was wrong. You didn't feel those butterflies (or moles as Kol used to say) in your stomach when you were close to him. You thought that maybe after bachelorette party and wedding you two would again get along with eachother and everyting will be fine. But drunk you had a completely different idea to solve this situation. Warning(s): smut mention, swearings, I used the thread from "Friends", I don't regret anything (I guess) Word count: 4,6k
*Two months later*
"I can't believe it has gone by so quickly, I feel like I just arrived in New Orleans." I said to the girls while we were putting on our dresses for the party.
"Yes. Me too. I feel like Elijah proposed to me yesterday, and now the four of us are going to my bachelorette party."
"Actually five. I invited Cami." Rebekah corrected Kath while fixing her makeup.
"Since when have you exactly been friends with Klaus' therapist?" I asked, not believing for a moment in her good intentions toward the bartender.
"Since she's trying to talk you out of the ridiculous idea of getting back with your ex."
"Hey! We all agree that we're not going to discuss that topic. Today is about Katherine. Only her."
"Take it easy, Y/N. We're just worried about you."
"There's no need, Katherine. I can take care of myself. Also, I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do with this mess around me. It's enough that the Mystic Falls gang put me on their blacklist a week ago. I don't need more complications."
Yes. Officially, Damon Salvatore has become my enemy because I refuse to help him bring Elena back from her "sleeping beauty state." At least Bonnie stayed my friend.
"Well, I saw both of you in that new restaurant. You two seemed quite enjoyable with your company." Rebekah snapped me out of my thoughts.
The original vampire spent the whole two months trying to force me to set up with her brother. It was getting pretty tiring to the point that I decided to avoid Klaus like the plague and not give the blonde a chance to put her plans into action. I loved her with all my heart, but I will not allow anyone to meddle in my affairs and try to set me on a particular path. Not even one of my best friends.
"Yeah, like one meeting was a declaration of true, unconditional love." I replied sarcastically, turning my attention back to my reflection in the mirror. I started putting on my makeup, being careful not to accidentally gouge my eye out with mascara. "Thomas and I spent half life with ourselves. It's obvious that we're feeling good together when we know each other better than anyone else."
"That's what we're all trying to tell you!" the woman snatched the mascara from my hand and turned to look at me in the eyes. "You don't love him anymore! He is like an old, favorite movie; you watch it because you have a soft spot for it, not because it brings you new, amazing emotions. You got used to having him around. And you're afraid that my brother will destroy your idea of loving Thomas. Even if it's obvious to everyone that you don't have any feelings for him. You fell for Nik, finally admit it to yourself!" she burst out, reproaching me again.
"Rebekah, enough. You're crossing the line." Freya stepped between us, wanting to reassure her little sister and trying to lighten the atmosphere.
"You want me to finally make a decision? Fine. Right after the wedding, I'm going back to Thomas. You don't have to wish me luck. I already know I'll be very happy with him." I replied, staring furiously at the blonde over Freya's shoulder.
"You have to be joking?! Seriously? Are you doing it just to spite me?"
"I'll meet you all downstairs. I promised to call Tom before we went out all night." I said, ignoring Rebekah's angry look at me.
I left the room quickly before any of the vampires (or the witch) could stop me, heading for the only place I could get some privacy.
Klaus' art studio.
The guys had already left the mansion an hour ago, teasing Katherine that they would make one last effort to find someone better for Elijah before she "ringed him with a golden muzzle," so I was sure no one would find me there. Who would have guessed I was hiding in the "cave" of a big bad wolf?
I was walking in a dark room, lit only by the moonlight. I took my phone out of my dress pocket and dialed Tom's number. I put the device to my ear, staring at the unfinished painting on the easel. Klaus must have been pretty pissed while painting it. I hadn't even seen so much intense red when the hybrid returned covered in blood from one of his "preventive missions."
"Y/N?" Thomas's voice snapped me out of my thoughts about the original.
"Hi." I replied with a little smile, sitting on the piano opposite the easel. Klaus went all out designing his studio.
"Hello, honey. Are you going out with the girls?"
"Yes. So don't bother calling; I won't answer, and even if I do, I doubt I'll be in a good condition." I replied jokingly, smiling wider as I heard his laugh.
"Ha ha. You know what they say: You are the truest version of yourself after alcohol."
"Is this your way to tell me that you're waiting on a drunken love confession from me? It isn't quite romantic, don't you think?"
"I don't care about it as long as it's true." I smiled. I wanted to respond to his taunt, but I froze in place as I saw someone's all-too-familiar blue eyes in the darkness of the studio. As our gazes met, he went out from the shadow and stood right in front of me. "Y/N? Can you hear me?"
"I have to go. I'll call you tomorrow, Tommy." Klaus wrinkled his nose at the "cute" diminutive.
"Have a good time, honey. Don't drink too much or I'll have to pick you up." before I could answer, Klaus snatched the phone from my hand.
"You don't have to worry about her. She will be in my excellent care, Timon," he said maliciously before aggressively hanging up.
"Seriously? Don't you have a brother to drink up instead of messing with my boyfriend? By the way, his name isn't Timon."
"Your boyfriend?" he laughed incredulously, shaking his head. "Since when? If I remember correctly, he left you for like... two years ago?"
"So what? You're not better at all."
"Unlike him, I was interested in your fate, love."
"Sending your minions to follow my every move is stalking, not caring. And stop calling me that. It's disgusting." I said, turning towards the exit, but the hybrid blocked my way as usual. The look of displeasure on his face instantly made me feel much better.
"They didn't follow you... most of the time. I just wanted to make sure you're okay and you're not putting yourself in unnecessary danger for the sake of those imbeciles."
"Did you know that there is an ancient gadget called the telephone? You could have checked for yourself if I was alive."
"You changed your number." I blushed at my stupidity. He was right. Right after breaking up with Tom, my phone suffered minor damage due to my sudden emotions and relative lack of control over my magic. I just don't know why it hurt so much that he couldn't text me. It's not like I've been waiting for his call all these years... right?
"Well, we can't go back in time and change that anyway. There's no point in dwelling on it." I finally replied, looking away from him to hide my true feelings.
The man wouldn't let me get away from him so easily. His left hand went to my chin, forcing me to look again into his blue eyes, which gradually began to give way to his night-black pupils.
"So that's it? You want to go back to him as if nothing happened? Like I didn't send you a thousand bloody letters to beg you for a little piece of your attention like a desperate fool, that I am every single time you look at me!" he exploded.
His jaw was clenched in anger, and his other hand was clenched so tightly that it seemed to me that droplets of blood were dripping from it. But my stupid brain could only process one goddamn thing in this improbable situation.
"Letters? What letters?"
"Oh, don't play with me like this, love…" he tried to walk away from me, but I grabbed his arm before he made any step towards the exit.
"Klaus, what letters? I didn't get anything from you since you went." I asked, searching his face for any explanation.
"Don't lie to me. It's even beneath you." he replied contemptuously.
A red light went on in my head. The son of a bitch had no right to walk into my already messy life with his fucking shoes and accuse me of whatever shit he fancied. This is exactly what caused my agitation. Not the hostile look I couldn't take from him.
"Beneath me? How can you tell if something is in "my type" or not?! You don't even fucking know me!" his jaw tightened. In the next second, he pushed me into a wall and put his hands on both sides of my head. His eyes were enraged, mad, and... passionate.
"I know you better than myself. I spent months admiring you in the shadows until you decided that I was curious enough to be noticed by you. It took you a bloody year to warm up to me and to treat me like something more than a monster. And when we were apart… I've never missed anyone as much as I have missed you in the thousand years I've lived. You told me here months ago that you would be the one to burn me. You were too stubborn to admit our connection that much, that you, love, didn't notice I was already burned by you a long time ago."
"You're lying. You wouldn't even have come up with that stupid excuse if Thomas hadn't shown up. You want me to lose my chance at happiness, don't you? The moment I trust you, you'll stab me in the back for your own amusement."
"Is your beloved ex-boyfriend, as I would like to point out, clouding your mental clarity so much?"
"Maybe he's my ex, but unlike some people, he really cares about me, not my power."
"Did he? Because if I had a chance, which you gave him, I would never, ever leave you. Not even if I could rule all of this damn world."
"Please, it's impossible that you could truly love…" he cut me off, pulling my face closer to his lips to shut me up by kissing me.
I imagined that moment so many times in my head, but nothing conveyed the true feeling of his lips on mine.
I moaned as he bit my lips and opened a way into my mouth like that. His treacherous tongue slipped inside like a snake, catching mine in his snare.
The sounds of brushes and paints falling were my only warning before he grabbed me around the waist, set me down on the table, and made me his height to (surely) kiss me dead.
The moment one of his hands started wandering toward the zipper of my dress, making me shiver every time his fingers touched my exposed skin, was a time when the warnings of my mind shouted over the dark, hidden desire of my foolish heart.
*SLAP!*
My hand left a small red mark on his left cheek for a while before his vampire power healed it. He slowly turned his head towards me, with his own hand on the place I slapped him, shocked that I (a little, mortal witch) was that dumb-brave to do this.
I breathed heavily as I stared into his impenetrable oceanic iris.
"Don't..."
"Why?"
"Because I… you… we can't…" He leaned his head down toward mine so that our noses were touching. Our lips were disconcertingly close for me to express any logical thought that wasn't related to HIM.
"Y/N!! We're going to be late! Hurry up!" Katherine's voice made me jump out of the hybrid's embrace, scared of what might have happened in the art room if she hadn't interrupted us.
Before I left the room, he grabbed my hand and turned me to face him. I fell straight into his chest. His second hand grabbed around my waist, making sure I wouldn't go before he stopped talking.
"Have your fun, love. We'll continue this discussion when you return." he said as he tucked my hair behind my ear.
"Y/N! What could possibly be taking so long?!"
"We have nothing to discuss." I growled, yanking myself out of his grip, and went out without even looking at him.
I need vodka or I'll completely lose my mind.

"Ha ha, I can't believe it!" I was laughing so hard when Rebekah finished her story about Klaus and Elijah running from bees when they were humans.
"I swear to you, they came out of the river drenched as ducks, only to meet some "huge and terrifying wild beast" and roll in the mud to let him lose their scent. They screamed like little girls as he approached them and growled at them. Kol was bursting with laughter, but in the end our mother's old fur fell off him and he had to run away from them."
"All right! How do I look?" Katherine emerged from the dressing room, making an impressive turn in front of us to present her dress (not a particularly successful one, given how much alcohol we had consumed).
"I like it, but you look much better in your real wedding dress." Freya commented as she adjusted Cami's fake veil.
Yes. All five of us decided to put on white dresses and continue our evening dressed like this. I have no fucking idea how it happened.
"I know where we should go next!" Rebekah screamed, threw my legs off her and got off the couch. She ran over to Katherine, showing her something on her phone and whispering conspiratorially. I shrugged, grabbing a bottle of champagne.
Freya snatched the bottle from my hand, handing it to Cami. The barmaid drank the rest of its contents and sat down next to me. I put my head on her lap so she could comb my hair. I closed my eyes, feeling a little relaxed for the first time in weeks. The quiet whispers of the vampires in the background and the slow, calming movements of the blonde's hand were a wonderful sleep aid.
"Don't fall asleep, sleeping princess! We're going dancing." an enthusiastic Rebekah nudged me gently on the arm, trying to pull me out of my own world.
"Dancing? Where?" I asked, opening one eye to look unconvinced at the blonde.
"You will see. Come on, the night is still young, and we're not drunk enough." the vampire grabbed my arm and dragged me down the stairs to the waiting limousine.
The five of us drank chilled champagne from the limousine in seconds, continuing to talk nonsense until we were at the door of the club Rebekah wanted to take us to.
If I had seen its name better, maybe I would have realized that this is the same place the guys went to celebrate Elijah's bachelor party, and maybe what happened later that night wouldn't have happened at all.
But we all went inside and lost each other in a sea of other people.
I looked around the crowd until I saw a familiar face at the bar. Instantly, my heart warmed, and the unreasonable desire to approach him overcame the rational side of my brain. I ran towards him, doing my best not to step on the white dress. Without knowing why, the people around me immediately let me through, so I didn't have to push through them.
"Nikkie!" I screamed when I saw the hybrid. I made a few steps toward him, and I fell into his arms, tripping over my fake wedding dress. I could hear Kol chuckling in the background. "I've missed you, love."
"You know I can get you two married at any moment, brother? Just say a word."
Kol took his beer from the bar as I leaned dangerously close to him, threatening to accidentally spill the alcohol down my dress. Klaus held me closer to him so that I wouldn't wobble from side to side, checking to make sure my drunken walk towards them didn't injure me in the process.
"Shut up, Kol. She's drunk."
"Hey! I'm not drunk, but you're ridiculously hot when you're mad." I giggled as I cupped his face and kissed a crease between his eyebrows. "And so sweet when you're confused." I said, chuckling after he gave me an incredulous look.
"The offer is still valid." a vampire muttered under his breath, teasing his brother.
"For bloody hell, Kol, I'm not gonna marry her!" he growled at him. Suddenly, I felt very sad. Tears came to my eyes from nowhere.
"No? Why? You don't love me?" I asked, sobbing. His eyes immediately fell on my weeping form in pure panic. Nik gently pulled me to him and cupped my cheek, wiping away my tears with his thumb as he looked at me softly.
"Yes, Nikkie, don't you love her?" Kol interrupted our moment, much to Klaus' annoyance and anger.
"If you want to live to see tomorrow, get out of my sight. Now."
"Have fun together, Nikkie!"
He followed him with his eyes until he disappeared into the crowd of others. His eyes softened as he looked at my tear-stained face.
"Love, why are you crying?" he asked softly, wiping away my tears.
"Because you don't love me at all!" he sighed, hugging me tighter and kissing my head tenderly.
"Of course I love you." he whispered timidly into my hair.
"You do?" I moved away from him, placing my hands on his chest so that I could hold onto his body the whole time while looking into his eyes.
"It's impossible not to, love. Can we go home now?"
"No. Say it again."
"What?"
"That you love me."
"Y/N. You're drunk, just come with me and…" I cut him off by catching his stupid, beautiful lips in a kiss.
At first, he stayed there, shocked, not even making the slightest move. I got a little irritated after a while, so I cupped his face in my hands and pulled him closer, biting his lower lip until it bled. I moaned in a kiss, as I could feel his sweet, addictive blood on my tongue. Without knowing why, I felt "the alcohol mist" in which I found myself begin to slowly leave my body. In the next moment, that annoying man finally started to respond to my affection. His arms were all around me, reaching into every part of my body.
In an attempt to regain control, his lips began chasing mine. We fought with each other, giving all our hidden passion, anger, and frustration into that kiss. But it still wasn't enough for me. And he knew this.
"Don't be such an asshole and stop teasing." I groaned, breaking away from him for a moment.
"Never." he whispered against my lips, skillfully avoiding mine.
"For the love of God! Kiss me right or…" I moaned as he interrupted my threat by biting into the sensitive skin of my neck.
He was drinking from me.
Klaus. Fucking. Mikaelson. Was drinking from me.
And it felt amazing.
I gasped, pulling his hair with one hand and grabbing his muscular shoulder with the other. After a few minutes, he pulled away from my neck and kissed me again, this time complying with my request. During our demanding kiss, I felt a trickle of blood running down my neck to my chest. The wound closed in a matter of seconds.
I summoned my magic to teleport us to his room. More specifically, his bed. I started to rip off his shirt so as not to interrupt our kissing session. But hybrid has other plans.
He pulled away from my bruised, tingling lips and grabbed my hands just as I was about to get to the waistband of his pants.
"We need to stop, love."
"Why? I thought you wanted me."
"I do."
"Then shut up and kiss me."
"No. We can't. Not like that." he sighed as I started to bite and make hickeys on his neck. He grabbed my hair, pulling me closer.
"Don't act like you didn't dream of it. Like you don't wanna feel my hot, naked body on yours. Like you don't wanna drink from me while fucking me and leaving marks on all of me to make it clear to everyone that I'm yours." I whispered against the skin of his neck.
"Y/N. Stop." he growled, pushing me away from him when he felt my hand dangerously close to his pants' fly.
"Why? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't finally get this damn feeling out of our system!"
"That's not how it works and you well know that."
"God! Why do you always have to make things so hard for me?!" I started gathering my things, intending to leave the refusing-me hybrid.
"Where are you going?!"
"To Tom! Maybe he will be a man and fuck me, if you don't want." I found myself instantly in his strong embrace. He was breathing rapidly, his pupils so dilated that his blue irises were almost impossible to see. He desired me. If he wanted me too, then why didn't he use his chance?
"Be careful what you wish for, love."
"Let me go. I wasted enough time for you." I groaned as I tried to break free from his grip.
"You're not going anywhere."
"Why?" I asked, lifting my head in challenge.
"Because you're MINE. Mine to touch, mine to kiss, mine to fucked from your mind every single thing that isn't me. We belong to each other. And you hate it. So much so that you can't accept the feelings that are between us. This is why you gonna go back to my bed and sleep by my side so I can make sure you're not going to do something incredible stupid tonight."
"Don't act like a protective boyfirend, if you don't care about me." I choked out, taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't look me in the eye and instead places small kisses on my face.
"You stupid woman, don't you see how much I've already done for you just to keep you safe and happy?"
"You wanna make me happy? You wanna satisfy me? You wanna make sure I'm only yours? Then shut up and finally let it happen." I kissed him, pushing him on his back, so I could sit on him.
I started to strip myself, looking straight at him. His chest rose and fell at the speed of light, black pupils completely replacing his blue irises. I take a moment to appreciate his tattoo and kiss every flying bird.
"Lie that you love me." he said, after turning us so I was under him.
"It wouldn't be a lie." I thought as he kissed his way to my underwear.
"I know it's part of your game. Just... pretend for a moment you really feel something for me Y/N."
"It's not a game anymore. And since our first meeting, I have felt for you... everything."
"You win." he said, kissing me with all of his desire for me, and trying to get any response out of me.
"You win.'" I thought, letting myself get lost in the feeling of his skin on mine. "And I'm fucking terrified of it."
~•♤♤♤•~
Consciousness begins to slowly return to my battered, relaxed body. I sighed, snuggling into something warm and cozy beneath me. I put my head in a more comfortable position and took a breath of the amazing perfume.
Klaus' perfume.
I froze in place, afraid to make any move. After a few minutes, I finally decided to hesitantly open my eyes and lift my head slightly.
My fucking God.
I slept with Klaus Mikaelson.
With my brain overheating from the new information, I had the opportunity to take a closer look at the unconscious hybrid. He looked so... innocent when he slept. And carefree, even blissfully, judging by his gentle smile, which I could see despite the darkness in the room.
The disheveled hair on his head only made him even hotter. It was also helped by the fact that I was probably the perpetrator of his messy look.
I tried to slowly put myself out of his arms to get the phone, but Klaus instantly held me closer when he felt from his sleep my littlest move. I carefully placed my head back on his chest. I let myself hear his beating heart and smell his addictive perfume for the moment.
Curiously, I looked around his room, enjoying as much as I could of what little peace I had left before my partner woke up. For a moment, I could imagine that Klaus was my boyfriend, we led a dull, safe life together devoid of anything supernatural. Hope lives with Hayley for a week, with us for the second, his family comes over once a month for dinner together. And above all, no one wants to kill us, we have no enemies from whom we must defend our loved ones. Maybe we'd even get married and have children of our own?
Married.
Wedding.
"OH MY GOD! Klaus! Hey. Nik. We have to get up, or we'll be late for the wedding! Oh, come on! You can't sleep that hard! Niklaus!" I screamed. I tried to pull his arm to wake him up, but his eyes were still closed. "If you don't wake up, I'll smear your room with all those expensive paints you have."
"Shh, five more minutes, love." he mumbled, turning on his side and pinning me to his bed with his arm. He pulled me closer, burying his nose in my hair.
"Katherine is going to kill me if we miss her wedding." I said in panic, unknowingly brushing his hair with my fingers.
"I won't let her do this." he tightened his grip on me, still in his semi-conscious state. "You might as well not mention her name in my bed."
"Klaus, I'm serious. Move. We have to get together."
"Vile woman, have you no pity on me?"
"Not even a little. Now get off me, you're heavy." I moaned under him, trying to move his body.
"I have a better idea of how to spend the day than being at my brother's wedding with the devil. I think you'll like it too. Last night, you did. Very much, considering the moans of my name coming out of your beautiful, alluring mouth."
"Yeah… talking about last night. It doesn't change anything, right? I mean… we're… we not…"
I stopped as he placed his head close to mine so he could lick up the dried blood from my neck. This man would be my death.
"Penny for your TRUE toughts?" he whispered against my neck, pulling away from it to look into my eyes.
"I just..."
"Yhm?" he leaned closer to my lips, but before he could kiss me, I pushed him off me and off the bed, sending him crashing to the floor. I took the opportunity to wrap myself in his duvet, running into the hybrid's bathroom before he recovered from my unexpected move.
"Dress up. We have to be there in 10 minutes. Don't forget the wedding rings!" I screamed, knowing full well that he would hear me through the closed door even if I was whispering. I listened for a moment, standing perfectly still, until I heard his grumpy mumbling and footsteps walking away.
With a sigh, I leaned against the door, sliding myself down to the floor. Memories of last night started to slowly come back to my mind, including his half-drunk "I love you."
What the hell have I done?

The Housekeeper | Part 4 | Elijah Mikaelson x Reader
Additional tags: Human!Mikaelsons, Modern!AU, Housekeeper!Reader, no use of Y/N Pairings: Elijah Mikaelson x Reader, The Originals x Reader (Platonic) Summary: You get know the youngest Mikaelson a bit more and you learn something new about Elijah.
Previously: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
At the end of your shift at the estate that day, Henrik managed to pack away 4 full chicken breasts alongside a healthy serving of spaghetti. In all your years alive, you don't recall ever having heard a man moan at his food as frequently and vocally as Henrik did.
He had scarfed down his food like a man in the throes of starvation, slurping up his spaghetti so violently that it slung at his face from the speed, spreading tomato sauce all along his mouth and cheeks. His bites were wide and animalistic. But in contrast of the predatory way he was eating, his big blue eyes were shining in contentment, both at you and his brother as you sat around the kitchen island for dinner.
You could see Elijah dying on the inside in embarrassment at his youngest brother's poor display of manners. As you spoke in between each other, Elijah had finally had enough of Henrik's eating style, after the younger man sprayed a bit of food as he opened his mouth to respond to a question you posed.
"Henrik, for heaven's sake, show a little decorum and swallow before you speak. You are not some pre-historic, bumbling neanderthal."
Elijah's sharp glare cut off any words Henrik had been about to say. Instead, the younger man looked down sheepishly, chewing the food in his mouth before swallowing with a loud gulp.
"Sorry, 'Lijah." He said softly.
The older brother merely huffed, "And wipe your mouth, please."
You passed Henrik a napkin, and he quickly took it from your hand and wiped hurriedly around his mouth.
While he cleaned his face, Elijah turned to you, apologetic look written all over his face, "I do apologize for his behavior. It seems," he threw another glare at his brother, "that this boorish troglodyte has yet to fully grasp the concept of etiquette."
You tried your best to stifle the laugh that built up in your throat as you watched Henrik's face morph at the insult. His lips puckered into a pout and you couldn't deny that he looked like a scolded child at that moment.
"I am not a troglodyte." He muttered lowly, taking another bite—this time, much more appropriate—of his chicken parmesan.
Elijah turned to him, face unimpressed by his statement, "Well, you certainly act like one."
Before Henrik could respond and possibly throw them into a back-and-forth argument, you interrupted, "It's fine Elijah."
The two Mikaelson's whipped their heads to you, eyes warmly settled on Henrik, "It's very flattering that you're enjoying my cooking with such gusto."
Henrik grinned cheerily at Elijah, "See, she likes my gusto."
"But," you interjected, "You really should eat slower. You'll give yourself a stomach ache if you continue at that rate."
And with that said, Henrik ate at a more normal pace and covered his mouth with his hand if he began to speak.
The three of you talked into the beginning hours of night. Henrik had stated that he was off school for a week, so he had decided to surprise his older brother with a visit.
"If you don't mind my asking," you piped up, "What are you currently studying for?"
"I'm majoring in Kinesiology." Henrik responded brightly.
"Henrik got into university on an athletic scholarship," Elijah added proudly.
The younger Mikaelson nodded, "For sprinting, I run the 200 meter dash for my school."
You whistled lowly, "Wow, your whole family really has a bit of everything. Fashion," you began to list on your fingers, "history, education, charity, the arts, entrepreneurship, and now sports."
Henrik puffed up his chest at your words. Elijah chuckled, "Yes, the Mikaelson clan is certainly formidable."
You laughed in agreement. At that moment, your phone chimed from its place on the table. You picked it up and noted the text from a good friend along with the time.
"Oh my goodness, is it that late already?" You looked up a slight panic on your features, "I'm so sorry Elijah, I didn't mean to overstay my welcome!"
He quickly shook his head, "You've done nothing of the sort. It's quite late, though. And you didn't arrive in your car today."
You began to rise from your seat, "Yeah, I had to take it into the shop today to get maintenance done. It's okay, the buses should still be running.
"I can take you home." Elijah offered.
"That's sweet Elijah, but I don't wish to impose on your time with your brother."
Henrik looked back and forth at the verbal tennis match. Nik, Bekah, and Reya weren't lying about the chemistry between his older brother and you. He could see the slight panic behind his brother's eyes. He clearly didn't want you to leave but he was well aware of his place as your employer. Elijah would see it as an abuse of power if he pushed any further.
And you were clearly having a good time being here, though you stayed far longer after your shift had ended. He could see the reluctance on your face, not wanting to part from the joyous gathering. He had a sneaking suspicion that there was some reluctance to part with his dear older brother as well.
"Why don't you just stay over?"
Your heads whipped over to the young Mikaelson. He was leaning his head comfortably on his open palm, eyes innocently wide, like he hadn't asked whatvhe just did.
"What?" You both asked after a beat of silence.
He blinked twice before elaborating, "Well, there's no real point of her leaving?" His eyes zeroed in on you, "You get in early, right?"
You nodded, "Yeah, but—"
"And it's already past midnight," he interrupted, "So you'd just be coming back here within a few hours without any proper sleep."
Henrik was doing his best to not laugh at either of your faces. You were opening and closing your mouth trying to shoot down his logical assessment but only ended up looking like a gaping fish.
And Elijah's face was one of rising hopefulness. When he noticed Henrik's forming smirk, he quickly schooled his face and settled on a warm and inviting smile, "Excellent point, Henrik. Please, it would set my mind at ease and you'll be able to sleep in a while longer since you're already here."
You bit at your bottom lip. How could a man so handsome, look so positively adorable. The slightest pout on his lips was your undoing.
You sighed in defeat, "I guess it would be nice to get a few winks in. Okay, you win."
Henrik grinned widely at your acquiescence, Elijah's just a tad more subtle. The older of the two clapped his hands together and made his way toward the stairs, "Marvelous. I'll prepare your room," he turned back sharply to cut you off, "and before you say anything; your shift ended long ago. As of this moment, you are my guest, and you shall be treated as such. Now, if you'll excuse me."
You and Henrik watched silently as Elijah walked out.
"He really doesn't mind, you know." Henrik's soft tone had you turning to him.
He was seated still at the island, forearms resting on the obsidian marble. A gentle smile on his boyish face.
You bit at your lip again as you walked toward him, seating yourself beside him, "He's already so busy with work and everything else, I don't want to be another burden to him."
Henrik scoffed, "Trust me, we would know a burden when we see one."
That made you pause.
There was disdain and venom behind his words. Faint, but it was there.
The Mikaelson family was surely no stranger to the manipulations of others that wanted the glory that came with associating with the Mikaelson name.
"You're referring to someone specifically, aren't you?" You questioned gently.
Henrik's baby blue eyes shot a quick glance to where Elijah had disappeared to before drifting back to you.
"Elijah has always taken care of us." He started, picking at his fingernails as he continued, "He rarely has time for himself. Even though he's not the oldest of us, he's always taken it upon himself to look after the family."
He shifted in his seat, "So, the times he has...indulged himself in what he wants, he's ended up hurt."
You could feel your heart dropping down to your stomach. The implication of what Henrik was saying made you clench your fists but you asked anyway, "By a lover?"
The young man nodded, "Two, in fact. The first was the heiress of the Petrova family."
You vaguely recalled a newspaper headline regarding her, "Wasn't she convicted of murder?"
Henrik smiled wryly, "That's the one. Katerina was found to get rid of her rivals and several of her bank accounts were traced back to her making payments on the dark web, contracting hitmen to do her dirty work for her."
You covered your mouth in surprise, "Was Elijah on her hit-list?"
"No, it seems Katerina actually liked him, but Bekah and Nik had a bad feeling about her. Elijah becomes...blinded by affection for the women he falls for. So they snooped on her for a time without his knowledge. They found all kinds of horrible things she tried to bury. People she'd had 'taken care' of. A couple of whistleblowers at her own company that were silenced."
You gasped. You'd had no idea she was so horrible. "Did they tell Elijah?"
Henrik nodded solemnly. "He was devastated to say the least. More so he was disappointed in himself for not seeing the type of person she was. He cared for her a lot."
The two of you fell silent. You could only imagine that type of pain. For someone you shared a connection with to turn out to be someone so vile; it must have cut Elijah deeply.
"Was there..." you hesitated but your curiosity had been awakened, "Was there someone else?"
Henrik's eyes shot down to his lap, "There was one other."
You could see the trepidation in his eyes but he looked back up at you after a moment, his mouth poised to tell you when the deep baritone of Elijah's honeyed voice cut him off.
"Her name was Celeste."
Henrik's shot down to his hands in shame while yours flew to your suited employer, embarrassment preventing you from looking him in the eye.
He stood there, at the kitchen entryway. Since his departure to prepare your room, he had shed his jacket and was left with his now slightly worn light blue dress shirt. He'd folded the sleeves up to his elbows and under any other day, you'd be enjoying the sight of his exposed skin—like some depraved Edwardian gentleman—but his stoic expression had any devious thoughts at the back of your mind.
Elijah shot a pointed look to his little brother, and despite Henrik not looking at him, he could feel the stare thrown his way if how he seemed to shrink in more on himself said anything.
When he turned his gaze to you, the intensity in his eyes eased and his expression softened.
"Perhaps it's best to turn in for the night. Come, my dear," his deliciously deep voice commanded your attention. The term he'd said so casually caused an unexpected tingle to shoot down your spine.
His arm stretched out towards you, inviting you to place your hand in his.
Who were you to deny such an opportunity?
***
Part 5
Author's Note: Sorry this took quite a bit longer to put out, I hope you enjoyed reading this. Henrik was really fun to write. We never really got much sense of the person he was in TVD so I've based some of his personality and mannerisms on Barry Allen, from The Flash (which is why I face-claimed Grant Gustin as an older Henrik).

Zero context WIP game ! Thank you @clawbehavior for the tag, excited to do this because I've got like 10 different wips and kept resisting the temptation to post snippets. These fics don't have definitive titles yet so the ones here are approximative descriptions
1. Ms Ji & the Kangs
“Yohan-ah, I love you, don’t cry” Isaac says, patting his baby brother’s stomach when he fusses. They’re both laying on Isaac’s bed after lunch, a bit drowsy in the early hours of the afternoon. Young-Ok watches the two as she folds laundry.
Nanny, why does Yohan have no eyebrows ?” Isaac asks curiously.
She chuckles at the question, taking a tiny pair of socks out of the basket and folding them together. “Most babies are born without much hair, he’ll grow them later on.”
2. Conversations
Gaon swipes ‘accept call’ and props his phone against a utensil holder as Elijah’s lovely face comes into view. She has cut her hair into a bob, even bangs forming a curtain on her forehead.
“Gaon, it's an emergency ! You need to come to Geneva and do something !” Elijah’s voice immediately comes through the phone speaker, loud enough to be heard over the sound of meat sizzling on the stove. “Yohan is serious about growing that ugly mustache and the clinic receptionist keep trying to hit on him !”
3. Yohan through Isaac's photography
October 1991, Yohan showing me his teeth
Gaon chuckles at the photo. It’s blurry like the objective had gone out of focus at the last minute. Yohan is giving the camera a smile and scrunching his nose, eyes closed under his fringe like he’s shielding them from the flash. Some milk teeth are missing from his gums, two permanent ones just peeking above the surface. He must have been no more than six or seven here.
4. Gaon scrolls online forums
"Judge Oh, I have this file I wanted discuss with you"
Jinjoo comes up behind him to see just as he is about to unlock his computer. What greets Gaon after entering his password is the previous night's research topic brightly displayed on the screen. Shit. Carelessly, he had simply shut the laptop before going to bed, instead of closing the tabs and erasing his search history.
Panic and embarrassment seize Gaon on the spot. He's about two hundred-percent certain that Jinjoo got a glimpse of what was written on the screen. Omegaverse fanfiction of him and their boss. Gaon wants to explode.
"You have…a lot of open tabs, Judge Kim."
5. Another snippet from Conversations
“You have something under your eye”
“Hmm ?” Yohan hums, closing said eye when Gaon’s thumb gently swipes across his skin.
“Eyelash.” Gaon flicks it away “crap I should’ve told you to make a wish”
They’re laying on the couch in a tangle of limbs, Gaon on top of Yohan like a weighted blanket, chest to chest, book long abandoned on the coffee table. Kkomi is on the armrest behind Yohan’s head, sniffing at his hair. Gaon yawns into Yohan’s collar.
“We should go to bed.” Yohan says, voice hoarse.
6. Sunah lives
It is routine until her ears catch familiar voices, ones she thought she would never hear again, along with the cries of a fussy child.
“Gaon-ah, give her to me”
Sunah turns around to see, to her surprise, peering over the café’s balcony, Kang Yohan, his niece, his former associate, passing over an agitated toddler.
“I told you we should have brought her stroller,” Kim Gaon’s reprimands are a refreshing thing to hear “She gets tired.”
“It would have been inconvenient though, with all the stairs and narrow streets.” Kang Elijah chimes in. She is on crutches now, standing just a few centimeters shy of her uncle’s height.
“That’s fine” Kang Yohan hauls up the little girl against his chest so that her head rests on his shoulder, pats her back. “Appa will be the stroller today."
Tagging @thedeviljudges if you feel like doing it !

I don’t absolutely despise klaroline, although I definitely do not like them either, but one of the most stupid things in the entirety of the originals is Klaus flirting with Caroline while Hayley and hope is abducted. Would you consider this to be a writing mistake or just Klaus being Klaus? I’ve always wondered if he focused more on finding them if he’d of been able to save Hayley in time.
I've made an entire tik tok about this because I despised this episode since the first time I saw it. I laid out all of the dumb decisions Klaus made in the episode in the tik tok as well as a lengthy caption. You can see that here.
Klaus in Season 5 is terribly written. He may not be my favorite character and I don't like klaroline but everything about him and them in Season 5 was wrong.
Starting with Rebekah calling Caroline to go find Klaus. That made no sense. Why wouldn't Freya or Marcel go find him. They are his family. Marcel has known him for 200 years. It's not like Rebekah thought he wouldn't harm her, he had nearly killed Caroline multiple times. Marcel was upgraded, he would have been the best choice to go and talk some sense into Klaus. Or Freya who could have gone and yelled at him for abandoning Hope.
Just the fact that Klaus was ignoring Hope for five years made no sense to me. I get he was terrified that she would hate him after what she saw, but the end of Season 3 and through Season 4, we began to see a version of Klaus that was actually putting Hope's needs first. This abandonment was a complete regression back to his Season 2 narcissism. Also, Hope not continuing to astral project to find him made no sense. She is a powerful witch, if Caroline could track him down, so could Hope.
Now onto the day of the event.
My biggest gripe is that they are literally driving everywhere. Klaus is the fastest being, why is he taking an SUV that can go max 180 mph? Why did they stop at a rest stop to get coffee? Exhaustion doesn't affect them that way. They are literally flirting and joking around as Hope and Hayley are missing. Sure at this point they may not have realized how serious it was, but Klaus would never have allowed himself to be distracted like that. It was bad writing purely for ratings.
Klaus would rip apart the world to save both Hayley and Hope. Showing him doing anything less is a disservice to his character.
Good writing, writing that is true to Klaus' character would have shown him turning into a wolf to track Hope down. Ansel tells Klaus in Season 2 that he was drawn to Klaus as a child and even to Hope because wolves are drawn to their family. It would have been so satisfying to finally watch Klaus at one with his wolf side in order to find Hope.
It also was so out of character to see Klaus walking slowly to the house. Hayley was actively having her wolf side suppressed and fighting Greta. Klaus would have heard this from miles away and sped as fast as possible to the house. Instead we see him walking at a slow human speed. Caroline is also easily snuck up on by Elijah and Klaus doesn't immediately snap his neck? True-to-character Klaus would have ripped out Elijah's heart to save Hope and Hayley. After all, Elijah would have been fine.
Very little of Season 5 was not just poor writing. There were scenes and plot points that directly contradict established canon. The reason the writing was so bad is because the writers were killing Hayley, Elijah, and Klaus off no matter what. Hayley's death was 1000% preventable. Hayley was a hybrid and a member of the strongest family but was somehow killed by a 100 year old vamp? Say what you will about Klaus, but Klaus definitely would have saved her no matter what. She never should have died but Julie wanted Legacies to have an orphaned Hope and didn't care to make the writing good.
Shameless plug: If you want to read how I would rewrite Season 5 to make more sense, check out my story, Don't It Just Break Your Heart, on AO3 and Wattpad.

For the wipe tag game:
May I inquire about :
The devil's due ( I have been hooked since the first chapter that u posted. It's such an interesting idea with so many possibilities)
The gentle light ( will we get more of yohan's poverty?)
Thank u, and have a nice day 🩵
Thank you so much for the ask!
The Devil's Due
Oh man, this one. I am hooked on this one too, but I keep holding it off because I know it'll be pretty long and it's also going to be pretty, uh, sexually charged? And that intimidates me x'D
But yeah, I LOVE the idea and the possibilities it offers. It's a story that would focus on Ga On and Yo Han's relationship without the power imbalance of them being chief and subordinate. That's to say that Ga On is going to be even feistier than in canon, if you can believe that. And he's going to be more aware of his sexuality and what he actually wants — or who, I guess I should say.
The main plot would really just be Ga On getting to know Yo Han — and Elijah — during different circumstances. And the biggest conflict will be the fire and whether or not Yo Han caused it, plus Yo Han trying to open Ga On's eyes to the corruption in their country. The main portion of the fic would be set a couple of years after the first chapter, and a couple of years before the start of the drama. So they're all a little less jaded and, since the situation is so different — Ga On isn't sent to spy on him, for one — Yo Han won't be as defensive. But he's obviously also going to be, well, Yo Han. He's working as a normal judge, trying not to draw too much attention to himself — biding his time for his revenge, and all that — but he would definitely not mind having some fun with the bright-eyed, reformed delinquent he saved from a life as a criminal.
As a treat.
As with many of my WIPs at the moment, this fic is mostly just a collection of lines of dialogue from various scenes, with no connecting text around them. So there are no complete snippets I can show, but I can say that the first time they do something sexual together it's because Ga On has finally had it with Yo Han's teasing and flirting and just marches into his office — at Yo Han's work, yes — and goes:
Ga On: "Fine. Let's fuck."
Yo Han, after a small pause: "Right now?"
Ga On, very scathingly: "Do you want me to schedule an appointment?"
Yo Han: "You're an absolute delight when you're angry."
There are reasons why Ga On is being so blunt, I want to point out, because he wouldn't usually be. Again: Yo Han and his manipulation tactics.
... and yes, they do have sex right then and there, in Yo Han's office. Which is one of the reasons why I'm afraid to write this. I'm way out of my depth here x'D
But I will continue eventually! I like the story way too much to give up on it :)
The Gentle Light
As for this one, I was kind of shocked to realise that I have a lot more written on chapter 2 than I initially thought. It takes place right after the first chapter, so basically Yo Han's side of the very loaded conversation that takes place during chapter 7. I've just been adding bits and pieces here and there when I've felt like it and now I have almost 4 000 words. Imagine that.
Here's a snippet!
---
Yo Han slowly walked up the steps leading to Kim Ga On's apartment, his hand sliding along the railing. The metal was cold against the mess of scar tissue on his palm, sending a chill up his arm. Yo Han paid that no mind, focusing instead on taking in his surroundings. While he'd known Ga On's address ever since K did the first background check, Yo Han had never actually been to visit before.
There had never been a reason for him to — until now.
As Yo Han finished climbing the first set of stairs, his gaze swept briefly over the terrace to his left, then flicked upward, toward the rooftop. There was apparently another terrace up there, but it was dark for the time being and therefore not of much interest to Yo Han.
Instead, he turned and looked out at the surrounding buildings. The neighborhood was as run-down as he'd expected, debris littering the streets and the majority of the buildings in desperate need of repairs — some even looked abandoned. Or perhaps the owners had simply given up, choosing to huddle inside the dark, decrepit shells of what used to be their homes, waiting for the end to come. That seemed common in these parts, where unemployment and hopelessness blanketed every house and street corner, sucking the life out of those few remaining.
Yo Han could tell it hadn't always been that way, though. There were glimpses of a once lively neighborhood hiding underneath the grime and despair, the descent probably having happened slowly over time as the economy kept getting worse and worse — money getting tighter and tighter. And, eventually, whether they wanted to or not, the people had no choice but to give in.
It made sense, Yo Han supposed, for Kim Ga On to have grown up in a place like this, where he'd had to watch what he once knew wither away and fall into disrepair in front of his very eyes.
That deeply rooted disdain for the rich must have come from somewhere, after all.
---
A lot of what I have so far is basically just Yo Han sauntering around in front of Ga On's apartment, observing things and drawing conclusions about Ga On. It's kind of adorable in it's own way xD But things obviously take a very dramatic turn once Ga On shows up, some of which I've shown before in snippets that you can find here.
I can't promise I'll ever post this, though, since I'd obviously have to finish it first and this is very far down on my list of priorities right now. But we'll see, I guess? If I keep chipping away at it one piece at a time, eventually it will be finished.
I hope you like it! And you have a nice day, too 💜

Instead of doing something productive, I did this. Bone apple teeth.
I’ve been meaning to do one of these types of things for a while cause I really love doing them lol…. It’s funny to see it all come together like ah yes I see why u are the way u are.
Explanation/characters under the cut
Yuu
dazai osamu, bungo stray dogs
edogawa ranpo, bungo stray dogs
naoto shirogane, persona 4
shuuya kano, kagerou project
ashe bradley, witch’s heart
sara chidouin, your turn to die
elijah baley, the caves of steel
shuichi saihara, new danganronpa v3
this is very self explanatory imo…. Some are more design notes than others but otherwise, yes, theyre a bunch of detective characters blended together. That’s the tl;dr.
Besides that, this is where their harmless shell comes from. They play it close to their chest, don’t like flaunting any of their business, but they’re nosy about everyone else’s. They’re polite and nice enough, but most people get a weird feeling from them, like they’re being disingenuous. They’re suspicious but they haven’t done anything, so everyone is kinda awkward when interacting. Yuu does recognize this, too.
The sara choice was last minute, and without spoilers, there’s a specific aspect of sara that yuu has.
Gin
sirius gibson, witch’s heart
nagito komaeda, super danganronpa 2
edmond dantes, fate/grand order
mithrun, dungeon meshi
shirou ogami, brand new animal
sara chidouin, your turn to die
kyoko kirigiri, danganronpa
shinjiro aragaki, persona 3
okay, fine, I did just take all of the white haired characters and mush them into one guy with every ailment under the sun. Sue me.
it feels excessive putting komaeda and dantes since they’re more design related now lmao…. Gin has changed A LOT since the beginning. He’s lost a lot of the more unhinged traits and traded them for…being depressed. a lot of his personality makes sense when seeing this. he’s very dry, detached, aloof, what have you, but there’s something beneath the layers of pain and suffering. What exactly? Couldn’t tell you.
Sara is on his as well, but for different reasons. He’s a reluctant MC (not that sara is, but it’s not like she loves it), lives in his own head, but has a lot of big bro energy, especially towards people younger than him. He cares a lot more than he lets on. He also has a bestie he’d do anything for. Not at all coincidentally, Joe is on masaru’s chart lol.

Little One
Mikaelson! fem reader x Harry Styles
Reader is an original(as in an original vampire from The Vampire Diaries/The Originals).
Reader is the youngest Mikaelson, twin sister to Henrik, and left her siblings behind after being chased off by her older brother, Niklaus. She keeps in touch with Elijah, Rebekah and Kol, hesitantly inviting them to her Art Gallery. With her boyfriend there, she didn’t think anything could go wrong, until her siblings arrive…
WC 2K
“Darling, calm down! Everything will be just fine!”
For the past hour, Y/N has been running around the exhibition giving orders to the catering staff with worry plastered on her face. Her boyfriend of 4 years trailing behind her, the same expression on his face for a different reason.
“No, Harry! Everything has to be perfect! I’m-“
He grabs her hand, pulling her back and turning her around, her dress flowing at her feet. He takes her other hand in his, getting her full, undivided attention.
“You are panicking, love. I need you to take a few deep breaths for me, can you do that? In and out.”
She nods and begins to take some deep breaths, Harry squeezing her hands in comfort as she does so. Once she’s calmed down, she lets out a sigh and tears begin to fall down her cheeks. Harry wipes them away and presses a kiss to her cheeks before pulling her into his arms, holding her securely to his chest. She looks up at him, tearing threatening to spill as she does.
“Now, would you like to tell me what’s wrong? This is supposed to be a happy day, Y/N! Why the tears?”
She takes one more deep breath and begins to explain, though her voice is shaky.
“Y-You know how I’ve been talking to my family more?”
Harry nods in understanding, signaling her to continue.
“So I invited Kol to my exhibition and he asked to bring Elijah and Rebekah and I haven’t seen them in so long. I’m just.. I’m scared! They’re the only family I have and yet I’m scared to see them!”
Y/N begins to shake as tears spill down her cheeks again, Harry cradling her in his arms, one hand on her head and the other on her back as she cries.
“You have every right, Y/N. But they’re your family, and they miss you. And you won’t be alone. I’m here. Mum, Gem, Mitch and Sarah, we’re all here for you. It will be just fine. And I can’t wait to meet your family. So take a deep breath, okay? This is your night.”
With a kiss to her forehead, he pulls away, grasping her hand. He pulls her to the beverage table, insisting that having a drink would calm her nerves. As she takes a sip of her champagne, she chokes as she spots a group of people enter the room.
That's not possible... Klaus?
Before Harry can question her, she sets down her glass and turns to head the opposite direction, determined to hide as quickly as she could. She turns the corner and jumps in surprise when she sees the figure standing in front of her.
“Now now, Little One. You couldn’t possibly be trying to run from me, are you?”
She stands, full of fear at the man- no, monster in front of her.
“Niklaus…”
Behind him quickly appears Rebekah, Elijah and Kol, easing her nerves a little though she stands guarded.
“Niklaus leave her be. Come now, little sister. We’ve missed you.”
Rebekah pushes Klaus back and brings Y/N in for a hug. The youngest vampire sighs into the familiar, comforting embrace of her older sister.
“Yes, Niklaus. After all, you should be proud. Y/N has taken after you and done well for herself.”
As she is let go by Rebekah, she quickly finds herself in the arms of her eldest, living brother. Elijah, her voice of reason and her protector over a millennia.
“I’ve missed you, Y/N. We all have…”
She returns his hug, and against her better judgment, she finally lets her guard down. Elijah lets her go and before she can say anything, she spots Harry turning the corner, his eyes roaming everywhere in search of her.
“Y/N!”
She pushes past her siblings, ignoring the stares of her siblings as she rushes over to her worried boyfriend. He spots her and rushes to her, his arms open as she rushes into his arms.
“Christ, you had me so worried! You just vanished and I-.”
Harry is interrupted by a strong force pulling him away from Y/N, before he is pushed up against the wall by Klaus, fear and confusion appearing on his face.
“Well well, little sister. It seems you’ve found yourself a new toy. It’s a shame I’ll have kill him.”
Her eyebrows furrow in anger and she rushes towards her brother with determination. Although she is no match for the Hybrid, their elder brother is the one to push him off of the singer and Harry drops to the floor.
“Niklaus, that’s enough. I did not agree to bring you here so you could torment Y/N. You claimed you wanted forgiveness from our sister, this is certainly not the way to ask for it.”
Ignoring everything else going on behind her, Y/N helps Harry up as he leans on her, out of breath though still full of fear.
“What- what is going on, Y/N? T-These are your siblings?”
She sighs as she guides him over to the nearest bench and sits him down before she turns her head to her eldest brother.
“Elijah? A moment, please? I need to talk to Harry.”
Elijah nods with small smile and drags her siblings away to look at one her pieces, though she can clearly hear him begin to scold Niklaus more. She turns her attention to Harry and her heart drops at his current state. His eyes are full of fear, his hands are shaking and his hair is disheveled.
“Yes… those were my siblings Harry. I’m so, so sorry. Niklaus… he wasn’t supposed to be here. I left them behind because of him”
She squeezes his hand in an attempt to comfort him.
“W-What is he? His eyes- they were yellow! And he had fangs! Are you like that too?”
He quickly lets her go and as he stands up, his legs give out on him and he falls back onto the bench.
“Harry, please. I need you to be open-minded and listen to what I’m about to tell you. You have nothing to fear, and what I tell you doesn’t change who I am. I am the Y/N that you know and love and I promise this is the only thing I have ever kept from you. Can you listen to me, H?”
He nods, though he moves away from her, causing her to frown.
“I’m not actually 24…. I am over a millennia old. My family… We are the original vampires. I have 5 brothers and a sister. Though only 3 brothers remain. Henrik… He was my twin brother… He was killed by..By a werewolf. My mother was a witch… She performed a dark spell on the rest of us and turned us into these-monsters. And we’ve lived as such for a millennia.”
She looks up at Harry and his face is no longer filled by fear, but shock.
“W-We’ve been together for 4 years, Y/N… How? D-Don’t you need blood? H-how are you walking in the sun and why are you eating normal food? You love to eat-.”
She sighs and takes his hand in hers, causing him to stop talking as he looks into her eyes.
“There’s a lot to explain. And I will, later. I promise. But for now, all you need to know is I am who I say I am. Unlike my siblings… I could never bring myself to injure or sire anyone… And my blood intake is minimal. From some friends that know. They donate it to me and a few drops holds me over for almost a year and a half… I wouldn’t do it at all if I could avoid it but I can’t. I promise you, it’s me,”
He looks further into her eyes and the tears threatening to spill breaks his heart. He pulls her into his lap and she begins to sob as he cradles her in his arms, rocking her back and forth.
“Of course you wouldn’t, my girl could never hurt a fly. You have such a kind heart, always reaching out to others when they’re down or needing help. I’m so sorry I made you upset, my love. I’m sorry for doubting you.”
He wipes away her tears as he rocks her and she lets out small sniffles.
“I left… Because of Nik. He’s cruel and possessive. He means well.. But he’s never understood boundaries… Or humility. Every time one of us has found love or makes something of ourselves, he rips it away. I’m not even sure how I was able to stay away for so long. But I shouldn’t have kept this a secret from you… I love you Harry. And I don’t want to lose you.”
He leans in and pecks her lips, holding her tight in his arms before he lets her go and stands up, holding a hand out to her.
“C’mon, Y/N. Let’s go settle this. If plan to be with you for the rest of my life, then I suppose I need to get to know your family.”
She purses her lips and takes his hand, standing up with a hesitant nod. The wander through the exhibition until they finally find her siblings, chatting with each other as they admire one of her most prized pieces. The older Mikaelson’s sense the couple approaching and they turn to face them, Elijah standing in front of Klaus in order to shield his little sister from him.
“Thank you… For coming. Before you say anything else, I need to introduce you to someone.”
I grip Harry’s hand once before continuing.
“This… Is Harry. I love him with… Everything that I am. So please… Please respect that.”
She looks to Niklaus, who pushes Elijah to see his little sister and he lets out a sigh.
“I suppose… I owe this to you, don’t I, Y/N?”
She stands firm against her brother, though she continues to fight back tears in fear of her big brother.
“Niklaus… I am not Henrik. I am here, brother. There’s no need to shelter me. There never was.I know you blame yourself for what happened to Henrik, and I know that’s why you’ve tried to keep us together but we can’t live like that Nik. We want to grow and love. Just as mother had hoped for us when we were children, before any of this mess started.”
He looks into my eyes and I see his body relax, though he remains next to Elijah as I continue.
“Please, Nik, he’s not going to hurt me. Please, trust me.”
Against her better judgment, she lets Harry go and rushes over to Klaus, pulling him into a hug. He freezes up at first but returns her embrace, taking in her comforting scent that he’s missed dearly. After a moment or so, Niklaus gains his composure and pushes his sister away, only to see the pleasing expression in her eyes.
“Just… Remember to visit home, little one. I’ve missed you. We all have…”
He rests a hand on her head and pats her head, just as he had used to when she was a child, only softer, as to not ruin her hair. She smiles and gives her brother one last hug before returning to her boyfriends side.
“Would you like a tour of the gallery? I think I’ve got some extra time on my hands!”
She giggles as she takes Harry’s arm and her siblings smile, giving her a nod. They begin to walk around the exhibition when Harry pipes up with a question.
“Wait… So I understand how you manage with blood… But how are you walking around in the daylight?”
They laugh and she shakes her head, squeezing Harry’s arm as they continue their walk.
She felt at peace after that day. She had her demons, but she had gained all she had ever wanted.
Ya’ll can thank @harrysmimi for this! She sparked the inspo! I know this totally came out of nowhere but if anyone is interested in more, I think I can definitely write more! Please like and reblog!

i've seen you answer a few questions about tvd so i thought i might ask, what are your thoughts on the main love triangle? and klaus/stefan?
As a caveat: I did not watch much further than the first few episodes of season 4, in fact I ragequit when one of the writers revealed we wouldn't be seeing Elijah on screen again until 4x20 at which point I thought, "Well I simply won't watch until 4x20 then".
And then 4x20 was a backdoor pilot to the spinoff The Originals and I simply watched that show instead.
All this to say, I was 100% a gung ho Vampire Diaries fan and you can tell by how closely I was following it, sadly the only TVD I know of would be the first three seasons. Same actually goes for The Originals, as I for reasons I don't remember wasn't able to access episodes post-season 3 so I wound up not knowing what happens after Hayley drives off with the entire family hibernating in her truck either.
Another disclaimer: it's been more than ten years since I watched this show and my memory may fail me at times.
With that:
The main love triangle
Having only seen the first three seasons, I think that Damon wishes quite badly he was a different man, and he is unable to take responsibility for his life and relationships being what they are. He would rather blame his failings on Stefan, and, whenever Stefan fails or falls short in some ways, it's immensely validating to Damon because who's the bad brother now?
His love for Katherine is not only about Katherine, but about being chosen by someone over Stefan. Because, as Damon will try to tell himself, just because she was sleeping with both of them and decided to turn them both, doesn't mean she didn't prefer Damon (after all, she had to compell Stefan, while Damon slept with her willingly. Victory for Damon!), and also- look, don't question Damon on this. It's fine and he's a well adjusted man, and once he has rescued his lady love from her tomb she'll tell him how much better he is than Stefan.
Enter Elena, who looks exactly like Katherine, is living in Mystic Falls just the same as Katherine, and who has drawn Stefan's interest.
Damon, eternally pulling Stefan's pigtails and being a goddamn creep, starts creeping on Elena, this does not work. Instead, however, he learns that Katherine faked her entombment, and has in fact been living her best life for the past 150 years. Worse, Damon and Stefan were never more than boytoys to her.
Cut to Elena, who is just as beautiful (in a very literal sense of the term), only she is kind, genuinely loves Stefan, the polar opposite of Katherine in every way.
Damon transfers his emotions from Doppelganger B to Doppelganger C.
Stefan, meanwhile, seems to... fall in with Elena, for lack of a better way to put it. They meet, he is confused about the resemblance to Katherine for long enough to get to know her, by which time he's into it, and Elena sees a very handsome and pleasant man who is easy to fall for.
The trouble with Stefan is I don't really have a grip on his character, he is... there, for three seasons, and he has his character moments and his speeches, I can tell you things about his personality except I can't.
He is one of those people you can know for years but never actually know who, having killed his father and become the Ripper for so many years, seems to be that he is running away from himself. That is the only way I can interpret his strange nothingness, as well as bizarre decisions like coming to live with his nephew Zach and attend high school.
I think Stefan wants to surround himself with people, form relationships with them, and through that find a sense of identity that he can enjoy. Which is where loving Elena comes in, as she is kind, generous, mature, vulnerable, and fun- the type of person you can lose yourself in, and have those simple moments of happiness Florence Welch sings about.
In other words, while my real ship here is Elejah, Stelena trumps Delena any day.
Klaus and Stefan
Klaus is a deeply sad person who is only interested in dating two people, and they are his sister Rebekah and his brother Elijah. At the time he met Stefan Elijah wasn't around, so Stefan became replacement Elijah.
(The proof of the Elijah projection lies in the fact that Klaus was fine with Stefan sleeping with Rebekah. He is historically not fine with outsiders doing this, you have to be family for Klaus to accept these things.)
"Look, Elijah," Klaus would imagine himself saying to Elijah, "I have a new brother now and he is hotter, cooler, and not a total bore like you! Stefan loves me more anyway," and then Elijah would sit and cry and give Klaus so much attention and it would be great.
As for Stefan, I think he just liked partying.
They probably did fuck, but Klaus is too embarrassing for Stefan to ever admit as much.

Can we talk a bit about how different the show now feels from the first 3 seasons. It's one of the main complaints I've seen around lately, which I fully get. But the thing is, that is the point. The show IS different from back then. When The Rookie started, the story was following 3 Rookies + their 3 Training Officers in patrol. We have passed that. By now, two of the original rookies have graduated to fully fledged Patrol Officer, one didn't survive and none of the original TOs are in patrol anymore. The premise of the show has changed, so the storytelling has to adapt to this new dynamic.
And to me that's the major challenge faced by the writers today : the expansion of the world within the show. And that's also part of the reason why they are cramming so many storylines in one episode.
In season 1-2, they usually had three different storylines, one for each duo, but still keep the story relatively cohesive under the lesson of the day (Plain Clothes Day, the Roundup, CIs…) and a closing scene with the rookies most of the time. And from there, we had supporting characters at work (Grey, Anderson) and at home (the different love interests, son, friends, etc).
In Season 3, the problem started when Angela became a detective. There's a reason many procedural shows hate promoting their characters : it rocks your entire world. In this case, they had to decide how to integrate Angela with the other plots. Alyssa's pregnancy gave them an opportunity : it was easy to write it in the show, considering the proposal from season 2. And from there, the writers gave her an arc : La Fiera, with motherhood being a bonding element. From episode 03, she was used primarily for this or for personal matters (pregnancy/wedding). But outside of these two arcs, they never really managed to properly integrate her to the rest of the storylines… To the point where she's not even present in one episode.
So once season 4 rolled out, that same issue got exacerbated because this time, with the rookies' graduation, it was the whole structure of the show that was being reset. We suddenly had : . Tim + Lucy . Nyla + Aaron . Nolan . Angela If they kept the original one storyline/pairing they had going on, that meant potentially 4 storylines within an episode (+ whatever personal plots)… Not good. They also couldn't just pair up Angela with Nolan for the whole season since their job was of a different nature. So they had to get creative. Angela would work with a different pairing every other episode and they gave her the Elijah plotline, an extension of La Fiera. They also couldn't leave Nolan alone so Bailey became his unofficial partner on the job when he couldn't be paired with someone else. Even though she never should have been able to, since she's not a cop and there were some massive conflict of interests (the serial arsonist case, her ex-husband). Adding to that, we started spending more times at home with the characters. Wesley and Bailey became de facto part of the main cast. It's all fine but it also means less screentime for the plots. Or for some characters. Like Aaron for instance, who was supposed to be the link to the show's original story aka the rookies, but wasn't even made part of the main cast/characters.
And with season 5, the world got expanded even more. For the first part, we had : . Tim + Aaron . Lucy . Nolan + Celina . Angela + Nyla Thankfully for the writers, since they were gearing up towards Chenford, Lucy could be paired up with Tim/Aaron. And when the story needed Tim/Lucy together, it was easy to include Aaron with the detectives. So they were able to maintain a better balance than in season 4. But now, they have patrol + detectives + metro to contend with. And the occasional Feds showing up. And they have to find a way to make it natural for these different elements to interact on the daily basis. And make sure that nobody in the main cast gets left behind for too long. That means cases with bigger impact (you don't call the Feds or Metro for a simple ticket violation). And that means more plots inside each episode.
Like I said, that's the challenge now for the writers. Which, actually reminds me that this criticism is not new : it was always a complaint that there were too many storylines within each episode and the pace was too fast. Right from the start. It's just that now, with all this expansion, their former structure of having so many plots within an episode makes it more chaotic. We no longer have just 6 main characters. We no longer have just Rookies/TOs dynamics. We're not even just in patrol any longer. It was always an ensemble show… But this ensemble got bigger, both in terms of cast and world building.
The obvious solution would be to extend some plotlines in two/three episodes (like with Day of Death or the Stanton arc) to let them breathe a bit more. But networks tend to be against that for procedurals, unless it is for finales. We could also focus mainly on one part of the cast in one episode, then switch to the others in the next episode... People might not like that though. It's a tough call to make. Call that may not even be up to the showrunners/writers. Because let's not forget that networks love to meddle too.
#This is all just my opinion of course#But honestly for a show that has close to 10 main characters - it could be so much worse#The rookie#Chenford#Meta Analysis

Our little game pt. 2
~Part 1~ ~Part 3~ ~Part 4~ ~Part 5~
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x witch! reader Summary: After the engagement party, you, Katherine, Freya, and Rebekah start to organize a grand fairytale wedding for family members only. Which means you'll be staying at Mikaelson's house a little longer than you initially assumed. But everyone is delighted with your presence. Especially little Hope and her dad, who loves to watch you play with his little princess. Kol is teasing him that he's using the baby charm to get to your cold, iced heart because he isn't hot enough. Kol nearly gets stabbed. But Elijah comes and rescues his youngest brother. After all, someone has to perform the marriage ceremony. You also meet "The Hybrid's Therapist" and makes a huge, life-changing discovery. Word count: 6,3k+
Y/N POV
Three days. That's how long it took the original family to get me acquainted with everything that happened in those missing years. They found a new member of the family, killed their parents (and crazy aunt) again, and ruled New Orleans just like "in the old, good times." That was too much information to get in that short time. Especially since I was drunk for half of it. Bekah and Kit-kat made the decision to get to know me and Freya by attending parties every night. It was fun at first. But when the hangover came to me the morning after, it wasn't funny anymore. At least I made a new friend.
"Earth to Y/N!" someone screamed at me and pushed, making me fall from the kitchen chair. I groaned in pain, rubbing my sore butt.
"Kol Mikaelson. Do you wish to die on this awful morning?"
"It's 11am." he replied, annoyed. The 10th-century maniac always started his day with the crowing of the hens. I was unworthy (or too lazy) to participate in this mystery of the rising sun.
"I told you. Morning."
"I'm sorry, but I, unlike others, have a real problem on my hands, and I don't have time to deal with your bitter, hangover attitude."
"I apologize for your grace. What is so important that you have to hurt people this morning? You broke one of Klaus' paintings or finally stole his precious daggers?"
"That's better." I gave him a stern look. "Relax, darling. I was joking."
"Not appreciated."
"God. I don't know why my brother likes you."
"Hey! Elijah is my friend; of course he likes me." I replied offended.
"Not these ones. And not in a platonic way." my amused, kind smile faded at his suggestion.
"You know what? I'm too hungry to… what did you say? Deal with your attitude?" I said with a mean smirk on my way out of the kitchen.
"No! Wait a second!" he used his vampire speed to stand before me. "I'll make you breakfast. Just help me."
"What will you cook?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Scrambled eggs?"
"I want waffles."
"Waffles?"
"Uhm. With cherry jam, whipped cream, and strawberries."
"You're going to be fat."
"And very happy. You don't want me to be happy?" I gave him my best puppy eyes.
"Alright, alright. Three waffles then." he agreed, heading to the cooker.
"Six." I corrected him, sitting down at the kitchen island across from him to watch him cook my food.
"Seriously?" he gave me an incredulous look.
"I told you. I'm hungry."
"My God, watch over your future husband."
"And his bank account." Kol burst out laughing as he started cooking my breakfast. "So? What can I help you?"
"It worked. I have a real date with Davina."
"Congratulations." I nodded as I poured myself a glass of orange juice.
"Thank you. But now, as she said yes, I have to make this day unforgetable and amazing."
"I'm starting to worry about you. Are you feeling fine? How many fingers do you see?" I asked, showing him two fingers in front of his face. He snorted, pushing my hand away.
"This is very funny, but I need your help."
"Why me? I mean, you have two older sisters and two older brothers who have probably been in many more relationships than me. They know how to flirt better than me." I inquired, feeling uncomfortable about assisting a 1,000-year-old vampire in picking up a girl when the number of my ex-boyfriends was limited to only one.
"Oh, you'd be surprised…" he says, looking at me with a little smile. "Maybe they have some... romantic experience, but they are over a thousand years old. And Davina is from these times, like you. You know what I'm trying to say?"
"Usually? No. But let's say this time I understand that you called your sibling pensioners. So, tell me something about your girl. I need to know her likes."
~•♤♤♤•~
*After some time*
"I think that's all." he handed me my food, looking at me expectantly.
"Well... I think you shouldn't take her on your first date to any fancy restaurant, cinema, or theater."
"Then what?"
"You're a good cook. Make her something and go boating on the river at night. You know stars and constellations, tell her about them after dinner. But don't make yourself a genius, women usually don't like this."
"Do you think that's enough?"
"You can scatter rose petals on the deck and decorate it with lights. But definitely don't take the poor girl to Paris, or you'll overwhelm her. Save something special for significant dates, like big anniversaries or something."
"You sure?"
"Trust me, women like it when a man makes an effort. She'll be delighted if you do everything yourself. A pampered vampire prince flying around town to fulfill her every little whim and do something special for her? She will love it."
"Vampire prince?"
"Please... like your family doesn't act like royalty."
"Does that mean I'm the king, love?" Klaus came to the kitchen with a little girl in his arms. God. This man looked too hot while he was holding a child.
"Absolutely not. But this sweetheart in your arms is a true princess. Yes, Hope?" I asked, giggling, when she started laughing after I tickled her. I was so fascinated by the sweet child that I didn't notice the look a holding her hybrid was giving me.
"If I remember correctly, this is not your babysitting week. Have you been stealing her from Hayley for three days because you missed her, or do you have another reason, brother?" Kol asked, snapping me out of my trance. This child could easily charm people around her.
"Did you steal her?" I asked indignantly.
"I am her father, love." he replied, looking at me offended.
"What's your point?"
"I can't steal my own child."
"Well, since you don't get along too well with her mother, I believe you can. Did he steal you, angel?" I asked her as she started to grab my hair in her little hand, forcing Klaus to lower himself to my level so the little princess wouldn't fall out of his arms.
"No, I don't. Hayley knows where she is. You two don't have to worry." I gave him a chair so he could sit next to me and not have to do gymnastics with the little troublemaker he held.
He sat her on his lap so she had better access to my bracelets, which turned out to be her next interest. I giggled as I watched her mumble over the pendant of a silver witch flying on a broomstick towards a diamond moon. A birthday present from her father. Talking about the hybrid, he also probably appreciated the selection of my jewelry.
"May you be more like your mother, sweetheart. It would have saved her a lot of nerves." I said to her, taking the pendant away just as it was about to go to her mouth. She screamed something in her language and grabbed my finger instead, trying to drop it with her gums.
"She must have been teething." I thought, not even noticing the gentle, lovely gaze the hybrid was giving me while holding the baby.
"She has the look of the devil in her eyes. That's all me, love." I shifted my gaze to the girl's father.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night."
"I think we already talked about nights and beds. Did you reconsider my invitation?" he asked, smiling and leaning closer to me.
"Don't talk to me like that with a little baby in your arms. It may be traumatizing for her. Just like for me." I replied, pretending to tremble with disgust.
Kol's snort reminded both of us of his presence.
"I told you, Nik. The baby trick doesn't work on her when your baby is cuter than you. You have to find another way into her cold heart."
"Don't you have a girl to chase?" I asked, shooting him a stern look. Did each of them have to be joking about our improbable romance?
"Actually, I do Y/N." Kol came over to us, kissed Hope on the cheek, and did the same to me. Klaus's quiet growl didn't go unnoticed. "Bye darling!"
"Stop calling me like that, you're a taken man!" I shouted after him. "Idiot. What?" I asked the hybrid, who was staring at me with a strange, unfamiliar look in his eyes.
"H e did you breakfast?" he asked with a cold, impassive tone, trying to cover his emotion.
"Yeah. He wanted help, so I made him do something useful in return."
"Oh, I see. Were that cheek kiss and "taken man" talk also part of your generous help." his resentment became more audible in his voice with each passing second. He was angry. But why the fuck?
"What's wrong with you? Kol and I are friends if you expect me to act like we don't..."
"Are you two just friends?" he immediately cut me off, not caring to hear what I was about to say.
"No. We're secretly married, and I'm expecting his child. I'm madly in love with him." I said sarcastically as I was about to leave the kitchen. I didn't like the direction this conversation was going.
"Y/N." Mikaelson's firm tone of voice and the use of my name instead of his usual "love" told me he wasn't joking or playing a game after all.
I turned and took a step closer to him, so our chests met. Hope's legs were hitting me a little as she waved them around, muttering something under her breath. His eyes were all on mine. Unwanted shivers ran through me.
"Kol fell for your town witch, Davina. I helped him plan a fantastic date. That's all. Don't misinterpret our actions. That's how we talk to each other. But even if we were something more, it wouldn't be your business. I'm not your toy that you can appropriate."
"I've never said you are. Don't misinterpret my actions."
"Are you using my own words against me?"
"I don't know, love. Did I?"
He gave me a challenging look, occasionally lowering his gaze to my lips. I stood there, never thinking about how close we were until his nose brushed mine. I couldn't give him the satisfaction of backing out. He'd never kiss me anyway, would he? We did a lot of stuff, true, but a real kiss was something neither of us could do as part of our "game." At least that's how I explained my suppressed desire to be close to him.
"NIKLAUS!" Elijah's yell immediately pulled us apart. I cleared my throat, reaching out to take the little one from him.
"I'll take her to the park. Maybe we even go to the playground, what do you think, Hope? Do you want to swing with auntie Y/N?"
"I'll try my best to come to you two as fast as I can." he said, and gave me his child.
He took a moment to look at both of us, and before he left, he kissed Hope on the head. Little bastard had to give me a "goodbye kiss" in the exact same place as Kol did. And just to be clear, I wasn't blushing.
Blood just suddenly ran into my face and made me red like a tomato. Just it. It had nothing to do with a kiss from the original.
~•♤♤♤•~
3rd PERSON POV
"I hope you had a good reason to call for me, because I was that close to finally making this little, stubborn witch kiss me."
Klaus ran into a library to meet his elder brother. It appeared that he wasn't alone. Kol was right behind Elijah, proudly smiling at him. That little bastard tricked him.
"What's going on here?"
"Kol told me about your..."
"Using our niece to flirt with Y/N. How do you plead from that?" Kol chimed in on his older brother's words.
"I'm not going to talk with you about my relationship with Y/N."
"Which, by the way, doesn't exist at all." the blond man moved towards his younger brother, but the oldest Mikaelson's hand on his shoulder stopped him.
"Behave yourselves. Both of you."
"I'm sorry, brother, but as you can see, he's the one who has consistently sabotaged my plans for Y/N. Make him behave himself." he pointed an accusing finger at Kol.
"I'm trying to save you from making the great mistake of your life. As much as I love Y/N, she doesn't fit our lifestyle. If you started to date her, you'd put her in the middle of our enemies, old, crazy witches who want to kill us, or even worse, your ex-girlfriends. You'll ruin her, and she deserves something more than our family drama."
"And you, Elijah? Do you share his opinion?"
"It doesn't matter. We just... want you to reconsider your plans before it's too late."
"Yeah. Let's take Hayley as an example. She didn't end up well after a night with you. Or... both of you." Kol stopped as he saw his brothers' angry look. "Alright, that was the wrong example, but you know what I mean. She's just a human with superpowers. She wouldn't put up with all the pain that comes with being a Mikaelson."
"Yes? Then what would you say about Davina? Is she strong enough? How is she different from Y/N?"
"She was born here. From the beginning, she grew up among witches. Y/N has known our world for only 4 years. That's a short time even for a mortal."
"When exactly did you become the voice of reason in our family? I thought it was Elijah's responsibility."
"Well, someone has to, as long as he's enchanted by Petrova's charm. By the way, you're no better than him."
The hybrid was about to throw a dagger at the brazen original, but his phone rang. He gave his brother his most terrifying look and went out of the room, taking the call.
"Oh my god, I miraculously escaped this. I'm never playing bad cop in your plan again, Petrova!"
"Do you think it will really work?" Elijah asked, completely ignoring his brother's nervous outburst.
"Of course, honey. We all know that he hated when someone tried to control him or give him an order. He'll run straight to her and admit his feelings right after he deals with the new vampire group. Let's hope Y/N finally tells him how she really feels about him." Katerina stepped out of the shadows, embracing her fiancé before kissing him on the cheek (to Kol's groan of disgust).
"How did you know where he went?"
"I could convince Rebekah to turn some vampires against Klaus and Marcel to keep them busy for the rest of the afternoon. Which will give me enough time to implement plan B."
"Which is?"
"What kind of matchmaker would I be if I told you before anything really happened? Trust me, they will be officially together on the day of our wedding at the latest." she said, then kissed the smiling original passionately, not caring that they had company in the room.
"Ugh! That's too much, even for me. Get a room or something before another innocent soul sees that. Before I go. Are we still on for tonight?"
"Yes. Me and Rebekah will help you with this date, but we are not cooking. Only decorate."
"Thanks. Play nice and use protection!" he shouted as he left, causing his brother to blush. Katerina laughed, kissing the vampire's rosy cheek.
"Wanna help me set up your stupid brother with Y/N?" she inquired, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.
"Why exactly are you helping him? I thought you hated him?"
"Well, besides wanting to score points in your eyes and be able to point it out to him every chance I get, I think it would be nice to have Y/N with us permanently. She's a good friend."
"It's nice to see that you're starting to think not only about yourself but also about others around you." he replied, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Well, if you come upstairs with me, I can show you how much I think about others… pleasure."
"Are we alone?"
"Mhmm..." the original picked her up in bridal style, causing the younger vampire to laugh as he carried her up the stairs.
~•♤♤♤•~
Y/N POV
Damon called me for the fourth time that day. I have been successful at ignoring him and playing with Hope. At least until Katherine didn't join us and took my phone to hang him up.
"What does he want? I thought your group fell apart?" she asked, putting my phone back in my pocket.
"Well... let's say we are on a break." I said, trying to get my hair out of Hope's grip to set the girl on the swing.
"Do they know where you are?"
"No. Actually, I only wrote to Bonnie to say that I'm safe and she doesn't have to worry about me."
Now that I think about it, none of them took an interest in my fate. Only Bonnie. On the other hand, it didn't bother me at all. I already had people who cared about me.
Damon called again, causing Kat to grimace in annoyance.
"Please, can I pick up your phone and tell him to fu..."
"Katherine! There're children here!" I cut her off before the curse reached Hope's ears. Klaus would kill me if his daughter's first words were "fuck".
"Atherine!" I froze in place, stopping swinging the girl. Now, I think he'd rather hear that her first word was curse than Katherine.
"Ha ha. You should see your face!" the woman laughed as she continued swinging Hope.
"But... how... when... What?" I mumbled, still in shock.
"Please, I taught her my name a long time ago. That's how I won Kol's collection of wine." I felt a stone fall from my heart. I was safe. "But this is the first time she told it in front of someone other than me and Kol, so... I don't think that Klaus knew." a mischievous smirk grew on her face. Well, I guess I'll be dead after all.
"No. Absolutely not. It'll break his heart if he hears that's her first word." I stopped the swing and crouched down to be at Hope's height. "C'mon Hope. Say daddy."
"Y/N... continue like that, and Klaus would rather listen to you calling him daddy than his own child." Katherine began to tease, making my face flush uninvitedly. If I was screwed anyway, why did she have to kick me down?
"Stop it. It's a serious situation. I took her for a walk, what should I do when we return and she starts calling your name?!"
"Well, if you try to use this daddy line on him..."
"Katherine!" I stood up and yelled at the laughing vampire.
"Atherine!" she cried, waving her arms happily.
"No sweetheart. Dad. Daddy. Dada. Dad." I knelt in front of the baby once again, practically begging her to help me in my unfair battle with amused Katherine.
"That's not how you teach a child."
"And how should I know that? I'm 20 with no siblings. Hope is the first child I care for. Thinking about that, I'm surprised that Klaus even gave her to me."
"From the first seconds of her life, this little one has had a 24-hour survival school. One afternoon with an inexperienced aunt wouldn't kill her." She stopped seeing how upset I was. She took my arm and made me look into her eyes. "Hey. Do not panic. Nothing happened. I will teach her, and Klaus will never know. You don't have to worry."
"Are you sure?" I asked, looking at her unconvincingly.
"I did it once. I can do it again. In the meantime, you can go pick up alcohol for the wedding from the bar across the street."
"Did you order alcohol from the bar? Doesn't your fiancé happen to have an age-old collection of all sorts of liquors?"
"Yes, but it is not an inexhaustible well. Kol insisted that we have to start restocking our supplies this year, and for every bottle we take, he makes us add new ones. It's not my fault that moron likes a special recipe that they only make at this particular bar."
"The Mikaelsons and their picky palates." I mumbled under my breath, kissing Hope's head before leaving her alone with aunt Katherine.
I breathed a sigh of relief as I left the playground. If Klaus finds his daughter with Katherine, at least she'll be to blame for the little girl shouting her name in fascination.
Or he'll have a heart attack. Maybe it's better to warn him.
Hello half-wolfie. I just want to let you know that the little princess is with Her Majesty. Don't get mad when you see them two - I have to go and take care of the wedding (which you're not helping me with at all, Mr. Best Man). I'm getting alcohol and rings, so you're responsible for flowers and food. Good luck! :)
Mr. Big Ego: I hope you know what you're doing. Also, if flowers and food aren't a woman's thing to do?
I'll turn a blind eye to this horrible sexist discrimination just because you're probably miles away and my magic won't reach you. Back to the topic. You're an artist, and you have a pretty good sense of style, so I believe you'll do just fine. Besides, you're quite handsome. Use your charm on the women, and they'll do the job for you.
Mr. Big Ego: Thanks for the advice, I'm just trying to use it in case you hadn't noticed. ;)
My God, are you getting senile blindness? I wrote that you're "quite handsome," not "incredible hot." You've got to find a desperate woman, so go and do your job, because I'm not going to do shitwork for you, LOVE. :-*
Mr. Big Ego: I'd rather read how you call me that under other circumstances... :-/
Take what they give you.
Mr. Big Ego: We both know I can get a lot more out of you. Like those tempting, little moans a couple days ago...
Don't you happen to have something urgent to do, your grace?
Mr. Big Ego: Nothing is more important than you (and Hope). Until we meet again, my love. <3
"Boyfriend?" woman's voice brought me back to earth. I looked around, realizing I was under the bar and blocking the entrance. I was annoyed that I couldn't stop smiling since I began writing to the hybrid.
"He wishes." I replied as I put my phone away and entered the bar.
I headed straight for the bar, hoping to settle this as soon as possible and get back to my girls. I loved Katherine, but the desire to spite Klaus might outweigh her good-natured offer. I wanted to make sure she didn't teach Hope anything terrible (like "Kol," for example).
Fortunately, the bar wasn't that crowded, so I was able to get to the barmaid without any problems.
"Hi, I'm Y/N. My friend ordered some of your drinks for her wedding. I promised her I would get them. It should be booked for Petrova or Mikaelson."
"Oh yes. I know. I am Cami. It's nice to finally meet you. After all the stories I've heard about you, I feel like we've known each other for a long time."
"Klaus' psychotherapist? I thought it was at least a full-time job." the blonde giggled.
"Let's say he's making progress."
"Which doesn't explain how you know me. Is Klaus talking about me all the time, again and again? I must be the real bane of his existence."
"Actually, he's very fond of you."
"Fond of me? In what universe?"
"Wanna have a drink?"
My first thought was to say no, but the barmaid poured me a drink before I could decline her offer.
Maybe one drink won't hurt me.
~•♤♤♤•~
"Have you never been in love?" Cami asked after serving me another tequila.
In those few hours (and probably 2 bottles used to make me a drink) the blonde went back to the topic of Klaus's untrue feelings for me. Forcing me, in a way, to talk about my love conquests. I was sure that they were not as diverse and interesting as hybrids.
"I was. Long time ago. We did all these stupid, cheesy things together. Stargazing in the forest on top of his car, swimming in the lake at night, dancing in the rain. He was my date at prom. We even won the king and queen contest. But the point is that my personal experience tells me that loving him wasn't worth it at all."
"And why is that?"
"Because my boyfriend—the man I'd been dating since we were ten years old—broke up with me via fucking SMS on my 18th birthday."
"Oh."
"Yes. Oh. And please don't give me any therapist speech about that: "He was the problem, not me." I got over him a long time ago." I said, taking a sip of my drink to avoid her sympathetic gaze.
"Then why don't you want to give a chance to someone new?" I mean, it's been proven that a new relationship and crush can aid in the healing of broken hearts."
"Well, I'm assuming you can't heal something that doesn't exist anymore. Also I don't need any new love in my life; I have my friends, and they are giving me enough of it."
"For now, but what will happen if one day you would like to have your own family? A person who'll choose you above everything else in their life?"
"Please, don't even tell me that Klaus fits into this "ideal" husband-to-be for me." the woman sighed, rubbing her forehead. I smiled victoriously, knowing that I had won over Klaus' therapist and that Katherine's little ruse had failed.
"To be honest, I shouldn't do that, but desperate times and all of that." the blonde took out a small dictaphone from her pocket and played a recording after a few clicks. "A week before Elijah and Katherine's engagement party."
"All right. Let's talk about something else. How do you feel about your brother getting married to Katherine?"
"Stupid question. Of course I'm happy for him. Even if his partner leaves much to be desired."
"Well, I've heard something different."
"And what exactly?"
"That you're grumpier than usual and growl at every poor soul around you. There are also many stories in the city about you. You've gone mad because you're secretly in love with Katherine, and that's why you don't want them to get married. But my personal favorite is that you tried to steal the ring from Elijah and sell it on Amazon."
"I admit I was more… moody in the passing days, but all is well now. I'm really happy for them. Very."
"Are you sure your mood swings have nothing to do with Y/N?"
"Veto."
"Come on. We need to finally talk about her. It's the perfect time."
"You're not going to let this topic go, are you?"
"Not as long as she is an important person in your life. Rebekah told me she had an impact on you. You tried to be a better man for her! I thought only Hope had that power over you."
"Do not say that. She'd be overjoyed to learn she has any power over me."
"Would it be wrong if she listened to how important she is to you?"
"Y/N and I are… complicated. We actually never say nice things to each other. I don't even know why Rebekah told you about her."
"Your sister said you loved her. You still do. Even after a year without receiving a single call, text, or email from her. I also saw her portraits in your art room. And pencil sketches. Maybe even some sculptures…"
"I see what you're saying, but it's not my fault she's… unimaginably, incredibly beautiful. I'm just admiring her charm. As an artist, it's my duty to try to capture the depths of her eyes. Or her sweet smile when she is laughing at stupid little things she admires. That's true. I have many pictures of her, because despite my tireless efforts, I have not succeeded in presenting her beauty in a proper way. There are no paints that match the color of her eyes and hair, not even talking about her probably soft, delicate skin. No canvas big enough for her portrait will ever make me forget her or stop imagining her every time I close my eyes. She is always in my darkest nightmares or in my sweetest dreams. Every single day, she steals my thoughts, so that sometimes I find myself thinking that she is here, chasing me around my own city to make me want her more than I already do. I'm disgusted at how easily I succumbed to the magic of her charm. And the worst part is that she didn't even have to use her power to make me enchanted with herself. It looks like she has to mess with me even when she isn't around."
"I think it's enough." she said, pausing. I stared at the recorder for a good few minutes, analyzing what I had just heard. "I'll leave you with that for a while and see if Steve has already sent you crates of alcohol. Take your time."
I took a sip of my tequila. It's impossible for him to have feelings for me, right? He has a child, a city to rule, and I… I'm only 20. I don't have so much on my mind, and I wouldn't find myself in a life like his. It's something else to spend here a month than… half of my life. And even if I wanted to be with him (assuming we really love each other), I would have to become a vampire.
As if my life wasn't already complicated enough without knowing the hybrid's supposed feelings for me.
At least it can't get any worse.
"Y/N? Is that you?" Fuck. I take that back.
"Tom." I said after I turned to the place where his voice had come from. My worst fears came true.
"It's you."
"Yeah. It's me." I replied, not sharing his delight and amazement. Meeting my ex was the last thing I wanted to do after hearing Camille's recording. As if I didn't have a mess in my head anyway.
"It's good to see you."
"You don't have to lie." I replied, turning back to the bar. Not trusting his words even a little bit.
"I'm not. To be honest I… I missed you."
"What?" I asked, eyeing him properly for almost two years.
He has changed. His dark hair, which was always combed and slicked back, was tousled in all directions, adding charm and feistiness to him. He had a slight stubble on his face, and judging by the obvious fatigue on his face, life had not been kind to him either.
"Can we go somewhere private and... you know, talk?" he asked tentatively, trying to grab my hand, but I pulled away from him.
"I'm sorry, but you're like, two bloody years late. We have nothing to talk about." I got up, intending to leave the bar as soon as it was possible, so I could free myself from him. What happened in the past should remain in the past. There was no point in re-entering the same river.
"Y/N! Wait a second, please! I know I screwed up then, but please, let me at least tell you why I had to do what I've done."
"The thing is... I don't care about it, Thomas. You abandoned me in the darkest, most difficult period of my life, when I desperately needed someone to care for me, without so much as a blink of your eye. You didn't have to explain this then, so I don't want to listen to it right now."
"I did it for your safety!"
"My safety?! Please spare me that pathetic excuse. You had two years to come up with something really good, and you went with: "I did it for your safety."
"Two years ago I turned to vampire, Y/N. Ripper to be precise."
"What? But who turned you? Damon?" I asked in shock, not believing that my sweet, darling Thomas could ever turn into one of them.
"I had an accident that was quite dangerous. I was on the edge of life, so they gave me vampire blood in the hospital to help me heal, but… it didn't go right. I woke up hours ago with that uncontrollable hunger. I could only think about human blood. I was too scared to get close to you or anyone else. Damon helped me get out of town, he sent me here so I could learn how to control myself."
"He didn't tell me anything. Not even a little word. And he had known all along when he saw me crying on his brother's shoulder." if I was angry at Damon before, I am mad as hell at him now. This son of a bitch didn't deserve any help from me.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N. I tought it'd be easier for you to forget about me if I... broke your heart."
"Do not flatter yourself. It takes so much more to break it. You weren't even close enough."
"I should know. You've always been the strongest person I've ever met."
"Don't act like you still care about me." I growled, moving backward with each step he took towards me, until I hit the wall behind me.
"Y/N. I have no idea what you've been through these two years, but all I know is that when I was gone, all I could find myself thinking about—all I could remind myself of my old life—was you and our time together. I've never stopped loving you, Y/N. I don't think I could ever do. But I had to leave. Otherwise, I could hurt you. Only here could I learn to control myself and my primal hunger for blood. The mere fact that somehow, from all places in the world, you found yourself here proves that we are meant for each other."
"Stop it. You can't just show up after a year and tell me all of this as if nothing happened. You left me. You break up with me by fucking SMS. Did you even know how it hurt me? You, of all people, promised me that we... we would last forever. And I believed you. I don't think I could ever trust you again."
"I know, honey. I know I fucked up, but all I can do right now is prove to you that I would never, ever leave you and hurt you like this again. Just give us one more chance."
"And what if I have someone? What if I've already found the one man who would never even consider hurting me? Who would rather tear the world apart than see me in pain?" I asked, staring hard into his eyes.
"Do you truly have that someone, honey?" he replied, rubbing a tear from my cheek with his thumb that had unknowingly flown from my eye.
"I... I..." I really would. But I don't know if I'll ever be able to tell him what I really want.
Before I could answer him, the dark-haired man came closer to me and connected our lips in a tender, longing kiss. I shivered as, for no reason, I felt watched.
What was truly terrifying to me was that I didn't feel anything but guilty. But I shouldn't be... right? I was a free, single woman.
Then why did I feel like I was doing something wrong? Why didn't I have any butterflies around my first love? Why all I could think about was how much better Klaus' lips would be on mine?
"Please, don't give up on us." he said, resting his brow on mine.
"Tommy I... I..." Why didn't I feel anything?
"Y/N? Are you okay?" I was almost glad to hear Camille's confused, worried voice. She must have noticed my red eyes from crying and possibly my makeup smudged by tears.
"Yes. Thomas was leaving, right?"
"Here. If you changed your mind." he slipped a piece of paper into my hand and kissed my forehead before obediently leaving the bar.
"Who was that guy? Does he hurt you? Should I call…"
"No! There's no need. Tom would never hurt me. Not deliberately." I cut her off before she could say HIS name. I didn't need another dose of confusion in my head.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I will come home. I think that's enough excitement for one day."
"Okay. I'll call you tomorrow. Just to check if everything is fine."
"There's no need." I responded, unaccustomed to the other's concern about me.
"You know I'm a good friend too. Not just a pseudo-therapist for a bloodthirsty millennial vampire." I smiled involuntarily, feeling some of my overwhelming emotion disappear after her little joke.
"I'll remember that for next time."
"Bye Y/N! It was nice to finally meet you." I waved to her as I crossed the exit from the bar.
As I turned to head towards the mansion, I noticed someone hiding in the darkness and staring at the bar's window. Someone who was as broken as I never imagined he could be.
Shit. He saw us. But why did I care?
And then, when our eyes met, I knew that my decision about me and Thomas would be much harder than I had previously thought. And it was at this point in our game that Klaus and I had to finally define who we had to be to each other. It would be the hardest choice of my life.
A terrible (but true) thought crossed my mind.
I'm a freaking Elena Gilbert.
