im rereading one piece (i'll watch certain arcs too as i get into OP again)

and man i forget how much i loved the baratie arc especially seeing how luffy and sanji first interact... "i refuse your refusal!" is so good and while bickering like an old married couple, they both yell at gin simultaneously i love them so much

#dogs #pets #animals #rip babygirl i love you so so so so much you were better than all of us #jojo #we had to remove all her front teeth not long after we got her bc they were rotted so i have a ton of pics of her sticking her tongue out #she had a sense of humor too btw she was so playful #she was abused in the past so it took her about a full year to trust us but once she did she was so so so loyal and loving #goddd i wanna die i cant believe im like. looking at pictures from two weeks ago where she was running and playful #and in the past week she just. gave up. she just stopped eating and stopped being able to even stand on her own #i had to hold her while she used the bathroom cause she kept losing her balance :(#sorry if this is too gross and upsetting i just. feel like i need to reach out. to anyone #like she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease with no real chance of recovery several months ago so i should have like #prepared myself. but idk i guess i just had blinders on lol. the vet said his dog lived with it for 4 years before dying #idk. i guess i just thought she could survive longer #pet death #mia.txt #mia.jpg

You know, I still adore horror movies. I've mellowed out a lot over the years (used to watch a lot more disturbing horror movies when I was younger) but I still adore them.

That said. I now finally, finally get why people look up warnings and use doesthedogdie.com. Rationally, I understood it before. But now I can relate.

Because dear lord, I would have LOVED to know about that scene in "The Lobster". I am convinced that if the doesthedogdie.com hadn't existed before, this movie would single-handedly be the reason why this website would be created.

For anyone unfamiliar: doesthedogdie.com is a website where you can check for different triggers in movies. Initially it started with dog death (as the name implies) but there are also many other triggers you can check for (e.g. different forms of abuse, abandoment, violence etc). There are no images and the questions are answered by the community in text form. Sometimes people leave timestamps which is nice as well.

#I think I might actually check for any horror movie I'm gonna watch from now on because of that movie alone #I liked the movie otherwise but jesus christ #“that” scene is a setup with a VERY graphic description of how a dog is killed including someone mimicking what sounds it made #and then it shows the dead dog in a very gory way for MULTIPLE seconds #afterwards the dog is still in the room (but out of sight) for the remainder of the scene #I don't think any horror movie has ever shaken me like this #I was definitely not prepared #and I did NOT think they'd show it after that graphic description #cw animal death #cw dog death

i caught up on jjk. favorite panels in the last few chapters, plus:

#jjk manga #jjk spoilers #jjk manga spoilers #jjk #jujutsu kaisen #i really think fushiguro is more of a parallel to geto than he is to gojo #geto saved gojo first but gojo failed to save geto #fushiguro saved itadori first and itadori's going to save fushiguro #it's also propping up my theory that gojo is an unreliable narrator #and most important things he's said in the series are going to be proven wrong #1. love it the most twisted curse of all #it's actually the key #2. you can't save someone who isn't prepared to be saved #you can and he will #those are my thoughts #i don't think the manga has gotten as bad as people are saying it has #but it does have issues #and the style change and quality dip in the illustration is bugging me #and don't think characters being introduced and dying quickly is that bad either #the ones that matter are written well and their deaths are significant and well integrated #the main issues cropping up now are also the issues that have existed for much much longer than post-shibuya #villains motivations make no sense #random battles that don't have thematic significance abrupt the pacing in an annoying way #the magic system isn't always well integrated narratively and thematically #gege has too many ideas and not all of them needed to make it past editing #but a lot of problems are just typical shonen problems that jjk seemed above when the story was a little tighter #also i don't think the magic system is as smart and complicated as people are pretending it is #i don't think it will be hard to adapt in the anime #i think the weaknesses in pacing and the increase in exposition are going to be more exposed in the anime though #and more people will catch on to the basic rules of the magic system being inconsistent or underdeveloped

My air conditioning isn't working right, my coffee exploded & burned my finger

Today is not my day

#speculation nation #.... the coffee thing was partially my fault bc i put it in the microwave #but see i didnt put it in for That long (i thought) and it was like #it was totally still when i took it out of the microwave. but i stuck the spoon back in to stir it #and out of nowhere it just fuckin bubbled over. explosively. catching my hand as it did it.#and it didnt hurt that much at first but i still put it under cold water #now that the burn is setting in it Hurts. like this is a pretty solid burn.#and it's 78F in my apartment despite it being set to 73F #and it's the anniversary of the catastrophic pet visit exactly one year ago.#around 1 am it's gonna be the anniversary of my cat's death. :)#so today is. not going my way! haha.#im just trying to get by. trying to relax. got food i was preparing before i got fuckin burned #(i microwaved my coffee bc it got cold and i decided to try drinking it more. i dont even want it now.)#but my finger hurts and i was planning on painting my nails again but idk how well that will work #but i...will Still try... to have an okay day............😭#negative/#animal death ment/
