My sarcasm radar must be broken these days, I don't know if these asks are sarcastic and ironic, or genuine. For the sake of the argument, I'll take it as an honest question.

I believe RBR is toxic. The enviroment, the expectations, the sabotage, the mind games, hateful fans... so I don't like Checo being held down and criticized for every little thing, and not be recognized when he does well. So if he was fired, I thought it could be the lesser of two evils.

But on the other hand, Checo wants to be in RBR (why? I don't know, maybe when I see his serie on wednesday I'll understand better) (see what I did here? proud of this publicity moment), so I'm glad RBR is finally ending the rumor mill.

As for him not having a chance with another team, I don't agree, Audi wanted him last year (in fact, we all thought he was going to Audi for 2025... like ending his F1 cycle where he started it, Sauber), and still has a seat available (with Nico); Alpine also has a seat, but it's not likely they would consider Checo, and Mercedes, of course, and this would be more a seat warmer for Antonelli in case they decide to wait a year to bring him to F1.

But in the end, RBR said Checo stays, and haters will hate and will continuing with the rumours of Checo's dismissal.
