Feels like it’s been forever, but I’m so excited to say that I’ve started posting for my Mariclaw follow-up to my Shadrien fic, Dawning Light! This one is called Sideways, and I’ve renamed the series ‘Gaze Into the Darkness,’ which I took from the song The Darkness by John Michael Howell. I really love this song, and I feel it really embodies both Shady/Adrien and Marinette/Claw, so I highly encourage you to check it out!!

This beautiful cover art was drawn by the lovely @hamsteriffic !! I really wanted to capture the essence of these two pairs in these fics, and she did an amazing job!! 🥹

I have posted an epilogue to Dawning Light, which shares the first meeting between Marinette and Claw Noir, which previously occurred off screen in DL Chapter 11. Please check it out here!

Sideways

Summary: After losing nearly everyone he has ever cared about, Claw Noir copes by embracing the destructive power entrusted to him by the mysterious Supreme, leader of the Miraculous holders. But when the last person he cares about—his partner in crime, Shadybug—discovers a better path in a different universe, he’s left adrift. Covering for his partner becomes his sole purpose, until a little bug decides to join him in the fight to defeat both the villainous leader, and the darkness within himself.

one of the best fics i've ever read, one that had me addicted to my phone and crying, wasn't even prose. it was a huge, casual, bullet-pointed outline with every detail of an au that the author never got around to writing in full. and it was amazing.

let this be a message to all you who want to write but can't do it "normally": write it! someone out there will eat it up. whether that be poetry, tiny drabbles, or bullet pointed list: your work is always worth it. your art (yes, art!) will alway deserve to have its moment in the spotlight. why? because you made it. even if it wasn't done in a traditional matter, it came from your brain and your creativity and that is amazing.
