#but also season 4 was just a mess

Every time I listen to the Frozen Cast Recording I just want to jump to writing season 3 of A Song of Souls. Like I have so much planned both for just Frozen and season 3 as whole (including a tiny detail that I have to retcon in All I Know is I Want You (Cause I Can't Get Enough) because I wrote it before I knew I was gonna continue that 'verse). I also have a lot I'm excited for in season 4, but I still have to get through literally all of seasons 1 and 2. I have a single paragraph written for chapter 3 of A Song of Souls so far so it's gonna be months (or possibly even a year) before I get to season 3.

Sometimes I think about what season 4 would’ve been like if instead of introducing Jason and Chrissy, they used two already established characters for those roles. Like Tommy and Carol, for example.

You don’t even have to change much with Eddie or the basketball team, just have Carol be the one buying drugs and have Tommy be the assistant coach on the basketball team or something.

It’d add a layer to Lucas’ story because then he’s not just struggling with peer pressure but also with an authority figure that we’ve already seen be aggressive. I think it adds more weight to Steve helping to clear Eddie’s name because Carol was his friend.

I also think there’s something very interesting about a town mob hunting down and demonizing Eddie, a character whose biggest sin was being different, in the honor of a canonical bully.

I'd like to think Five and Lila were just fucked in the head after not seeing their families for seven years. I'd like to think they were both starved for love and their brains were warped by the fact that they only had each other to survive off of. I'd like to think that they just wanted a break from the absolute chaos of their lives where they could be loved wholly by another person without question.

But what I'd REALLY like is an exploration of the deepening platonic connection between the two of them that allows for emotional intimacy like we saw in the final subway scene without meddling with their dynamic or integrity as characters and making them total assholes.

My Answer: I saw 2 low res drawings of Merida/Rapunzel and Hiccup/Jack Frost making out Sloppy Style and being besties on my shitass ipod and it forever changed my brain chemistry. For better or for worse I can’t tell you, but I am having fun here.

I don't think it was necessary to make Thor a main character in a Loki show, the same way it WOULD be possible to throw together a Thor movie without having Loki be a main focus.

The issue comes in the quality of the narrative itself, and writing that if evidently without intention to care for (whichever) main character's importance will not work out. Neither the Loki series nor Thor 4 cared about the arc, motivations, history, or continuity of the titular characters beyond trying to make the media marketable.

Overall messaging can add a layer to the impact a story will have. Musical score can be a bonus way to control tone or tie a story together. Supporting cast can be vital to tell a good story. Prioritising their presence over anyone's (especially Loki's) characterisation is what the Loki series suffered from, not that other, original-adjacent characters were there.

okay as far as season four of teen wolf goes i am like. very confused as to what the fuck kate's motive even is? like she came back from the dead and she's screwing with derek and making her berserker servants kill people but like. WHY. ik there was like that one scene with peter where it was implied she wanted to make the argents great again (aka reinstate them to their former genocidal werewolf-hunting glory) but that doesn't make complete sense to me when she herself is now a shifter. or like maybe she's just that hypocritical idk (wouldn't put it past her). but even with that idk it doesn't make SENSE. why did she kill garrett and violet? why did she try to make scott's pack kill him? why did she do all that just to get derek to open the vault? literally what the fuck

So about that episode....

Are we gonna talk about how Yosano remembers all the soldiers that died even 14 years later? Or how protective Tanizaki is of all the ADA members (told Yosano he'd take her place, yelled at Jouno for hurting Kenji, his whole thing with Naomi, his concern when Atsushi was kidnapped, yelling in absolute terror when Kunikida sacrificed himself)? Or how Ranpo and Yosano are actually THE friendship of all time? Or how Fukuzawa got so feral and enraged for her sake? Or how Yosano sees the agency as the place that actually wanted her even if it didn't need her? Or how she will do anything to protect it? Or how this entire season is just telling us what a family they are? And how her entire backstory is all about the value of life and how she held onto how valuable individual lives were despite everything about it (war, her ability, Mori) telling her to commodify humans lives? Or just how incredibly Yosano's kindness is portrayed, showing us that she can be kinda sadistic and sarcastic and terrifying but still be called kind? Or, or, or ....

i think about the fact that Nico’s powers randomly include temperature control way too much. he can make stuff cold! and is apparently immune to cold himself, at least to some degree! why? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯probably ghost reasons! even though it is not inherently tied to ghosts at all and he can just Do That!

throughout the series of drake and josh it pretty consistently implies that josh nichols is a christian (josh peck is jewish) and in the finale of the series helen (played by yvette nicole brown, not jewish[?]) is portrayed as a practicing jew

haven't been watching the last games so I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert here but blaming the goalies for the canes' current mess is so stupid lol

antti, freddie and pyotr have been the reason why the canes were being bailed out almost night after night because we just don't have a pure goal scorer and TD refuses to sign one, you can only go as far when your only consistently good players are your goalies

you can have literally God on that net that if your defence is a mess (like the canes' is) and your top guys are asleep almost every game (like the canes' is), your team will still be shit

TD spent last summer losing time instead of addressing our actual issues, just brining in guys who don't buy into rod's system and literal locker room cancers, and then people wonder why the team can't click and they all look disjointed
