start the year right. post some cpn. 😌😌😌

earlier in the day, we got a rehearsal snippet, clowns already noticed that the building background looked similar to that of gg’s mv (anonymous/all the same). but personally, there was very little that wyb can do ( i think ) to alter that. cause the backdrop and city setup was more of the theme for hunan tv nye show. but i can understand why the cpn bells were ringing in our heads. plus during the performance, the similarity was really uncanny.

i think we already have more rational “connections” between their songs. and i guess it also doesn’t help that the captions made by their studios have a similar word in it.

• i love what he wore for the first performance! i’m already over the moon that he sang with DZW and WH but he decided to wear that Amiri suit! and the photoshoot that went with it was exceptional too. So of course we have to pair it up with XZ.

• the fireworks which makes sense to be added in cause there is a reference to it in the lyrics. but some noticed that it can also look like shooting stars — which leads us to kimi no nawa cpn. also the green flower thing he was holding in the photoshoot reminds us of the flower in gg’s album visual.

• His performance started 10:05 i think? which is a great coincidence. Or is it? i swear i didn’t even notice cause the content where coming out one after the other 😂😂😂

• This one is my favorite. It’s another one where we asks ourselves — why is it always them? sometimes we don’t even have to reach that much. it’s how in these two instances they said the same thing. some even thinking that WYB remembered what GG said and so he said it.

the pjo show’s cinematography is so warm and homey and clever and detail-oriented so i wanna compile a few of my favourite still shots because why not??

^this one had me smiling so hard, not because it’s a particularly beautiful shot but the framing of the three is so well done. the focus is on sally who is talking to grover (both prominently in the front of the shot) while percy – who isn’t a part of the conversation but a listener of it – is still properly visible through the glass of the door and like??? i just think it’s a super cool way of having a passive character in the shot that i haven’t ever seen before, in a way that percy is both highlighted and still so clearly in the background that it doesn’t take away from the focus characters. also percy’s sweater matching the colours on the door is the cherry on top!!

^next is this one. it’s so perfectly angsty and though not complete, the symmetry is still eye-catching. it encapsulates the feeling percy must experience in that moment–him, amidst destruction, knowing he’s the cause but not knowing how or why. he looks all of twelve with his haphazard hoodie and almost forlorn look. he is not gloating, he is not cheerful. though he doesn’t know the gravity of his parentage, it’s almost like the show is telling us that his powers–which cause the door to break, too btw–will always be a source of isolation for percy. he is a force of nature, a destructive one most of the time, and the fact that he is just a child who is confused will never matter because this world doesn’t care for childhood but godhood alone.

idk, this shot just evokes a very unsettling kind of sadness for me. i think it’s beautifully framed.

^i absolutely love this one simply for the fact that the sheer struggle of the fight is so prominently visible. and yes, i cheated, this isn’t exactly a still shot but like an action sequence screenshot but whatever, it’s too good to not mention it here. the way percy is, honest to gods, bracing against the spear for his dear life, the evident and overwhelming rage on clarisse’s face, the blocking of the scene – it’s perfect. clarisse is not playing and percy is genuinely in danger and i love how this shot and the whole scene really sold us on that fact.

^ i just think it’s extremely cool that we can see the minotaur howling in pain, percy having his mouth wide open as if he’s letting out a yell as he goes to plunge the horn and that as percy does this act–killing the minotaur–which is surefire source of safeguarding himself and grover, something that will get him to camp, we can see thalia’s tree in the background. there is no reason percy had to make the kill here, with the chaos of the fight, so the fact that this is the spot and this is the shot as he kills the minotaur makes me think it’s deliberate. having thalia in the background is so impactful because again, percy could have met a similar fate in some other alternate universe but here, he wins and he survives.

^ do i even need to explain??? the shot is pretty and beautiful and almost magical. percy, alone with a tin of fire, burning blue food and talking to his mother. maybe one thing i can point out is that the sally-percy bond has been heavily indicated through glowing lights since the start. if you recall, the “you are not broken” speech by sally was given in front of the warm, glowing headlights of the car and percy’s face was illuminated by that warmth just the same way it is illuminated by the tin-fire in the forest.

^ first, this is too fucking gorgeous. second, percy is wearing his red jacket again and this dream happened after he reached camp so in my opinion, this dream was initially a comfortable imagining of percy’s mind and was then hijacked by kronos but i could be wrong since i don’t clearly remember how they manifested in the books originally. nevertheless, it’s a great detail to have him wear the red jacket because even if he may not have it with him anymore, it’s still clearly something he holds dear – and might associate sally’s memories with.

also, the fact that percy seems to have alot of scenes with fire might be because as someone who can control water, fire can never truly be a source of danger for him and therefore, he can find comfort in its warmth unhindered, always?

^ how could i not love this epic moment? the trident is perfect, big and blue and grand and majestic. half the screen is water, obviously. but what makes this good shot a great one is that there is literally no one else directly near percy except annabeth. the campers are all far away and in this shot itself only annabeth remains close to percy, though she is fittingly on the land, observing the scene before her. remember how i said percy’s legacy promises isolation but this shot tells me that despite that, percy will have someone who he can count on to be by his side (also cool that even in the bathroom, annabeth was technically still near him, even if she was, well, stalking him) and maybe this is my delusional ass talking, but annabeth being here is foreshadowing for me. i just think it’s a choice to have this epic revelation where they could easily have had percy standing alone in the middle of the lake but no, annabeth is also there and not only because she’s the one who led to that revelation but because she’s someone who isn’t intimidated by percy’s parentage and still can be beside him.

^ i adore this shot because 1) it shows us just how young and tiny percy is and 2) it tells us that maybe that door is so fucking huge because it’s being inclusive of centaurs and other giants of their world. also, symmetry strikes again!!! the colours are so well balanced, not bright and vibrant but on the pastel side that indicates an aged feel to them.

1) Favorite food is homemade shio ramen (made by Draxum), I don't think he's got a favorite animal? there is an animal/creature related thing that's gonna happen in the comic at some point but I don't wanna spoil that part, but is probably that one lmao

1.2) He does know Lou Jitsu! thought his knowledge of him comes from being a nexus champion, not a movie star. He likes Lou but he cant even admit that to even himself because there is a lot of hatred towards humans on his heart, he has a certain level of respect but thats pretty much it.

altough... he started doing martial arts because Draxum showed him a recording of Lou's fights on the nexus and he fell in love with the fighting style, immediately wanted to learn martial arts and be a ninja afterwards

4) When I start an AU is pretty much because I suddenly have a scene stuck in my head and end up building everything around it (something something, plaged by visions) for SLAU and One it was One's introduction what got me to start this AU.

I was reading some separated aus on ao3 (dont ask which because I dont remmeber and haven't kept up with any of them since I started my own) and that image of One dropping in in the middle of the fight got stuck in my brain and I was shooked that no one thought of making that the introduction of any of the sep turtles, that mixed with there was one of those aus that was a separated leo that I felt like they weren't using "leo raised by draxum" at its full potential and it was frustraiting me so I just went "fine, I'll do it myself"

5) idk, it depends I guess? One is very smart and clever, he's highly skilled and succedes at pretty much everything (the being Number One has gotten into his head for a reason) but! he's also a dumb 14yo teenage boy

I just want to put in my two cents on the whole band identity thing since stuff is going around atm: As far as I am aware, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, Vessel and the rest of the band have never explicitly stated that the masks are supposed to hide their identities for safety purposes.

Vessel said in that Metal Hammer interview that music is pushed based on who or who isn’t in a band, and that their identities are unimportant. To me, this says that their masks are a form of commentary against the popularity contest/politics within the modern music industry.

Not doxxing/harassing/doing other harmful behaviors to the band members should be the bare minimum and common sense, but of course, people have shown us and the band otherwise and I understand that has made some within the fandom become even more protective/vigilant with information related to the identities in the band.

That being said, I personally don’t see any issue with knowing who they are if you want to know and it shouldn’t be looked down on within the fandom. I think there can be a respectful divide between those who know and those who don’t want to. I found out by accident, but knowing what I know has given me a much deeper appreciation for Sleep Token in all of its iterations in a way I don’t think I would have gotten to otherwise.

I think some fans feel as though they’re betraying the band by knowing their identities and I disagree with that level of stigma. I can’t imagine any of the guys being offended about their fans looking into past projects/bands they’ve been involved in, and having huge support from all of us if one or more members decided to do a solo feature for another band would be incredible!

In my opinion, I think we need to reframe how their identities are handled within the fandom at large: they’re not in witness protection, they just prefer for their audience to put the majority of their focus on the music instead of the people playing it. It’s obvious that Vessel takes great pride in his craft and, based on the MH interview, it seems like his main goal here is to have his music speak for itself instead of becoming another soulless corporate shill. Just something for all of us to consider and I’d love to know your thoughts as well.

I wanna be a little less subjective to give you a platform, Anon, but you are correct in the fact that Vessel and the band never said their anonymity was explicitly for safety (although there’s a valid argument that that is a given assumption, as you also stated).

If needed for context, the quote from the Amped Up Kerrang Article (idk if you meant this article, Anon, or if Ves said something in one of the Metal Hammer ones and I forgot; lmk in another ask or dm and i’ll add to this post):

“Art has become entangled with identity,” Him says of the band’s anonymity. “The aim is to provide something people can engage with without being obstructed by the identity of its creator. The true identities behind Sleep Token are irrelevant. Our identity is represented through the art and music itself.”

I do believe their anonymity is both a device for creating more powerful music as well as a clever way to market the band. Humans are naturally curious and we are drawn to mysteries. Its interesting to see how it has morphed into this beast of those who know and those who do not (and those who do know, pretend they do not, and then ostracize those who do know while also creeping in online spaces they should definitely not know about if not knowing identities mattered that much to them). The band’s anonymity has created a fanbase full of toxic interactions that I’m certain they never intended to cause.

I don’t fault any fan for their views, or if they choose to seek out identities or not. I only have a problem with it when views are forced onto others maliciously.

I thought about this a few times, and I actually tried to guess Wesker's sign based on the canon lore 😂 but I'll try to guess it for the others as well.

I assumed Wesker was an Aquarius. He is a thinker; every action and idea of his is backed up by logical arguments. Aquariuses are clever, creative, and intelligent, but they also are distant and struggle to express their emotions. They are critical thinkers, always looking outside the box, and that's why they are great in the medical field.

I think Chris is a Taurus because he tends to be stubborn sometimes, but he is also a very reliable person on whom you can count (given how Jill, Piers, and even Wesker trusted him). He is also a generous person, always putting others above himself.

Leon I think it's cancer, because he tends to hide his feelings and trauma behind a "tough guy" mask. He is also cracking one-liners in tensed or uncomfortable situations to hide his feelings (like when he did in Vendetta when Chris found him in that bar).

Something tells me Krauser is a Capricorn because, as an earth sign, he is pretty deeply rooted in his own ideologies, and once he sets his mind on something, he is very determined to achieve that. He is also very reliable and can be a shoulder to lean on, but he can also be very cold and pessimistic (given his relationship with Leon).

Luis is a Pieces because, as a sign, they tend to be more emphatic, and I think he is very intuitive and leans towards other characters's emotions. He also seems like a romantic guy, driven by his own passion, and has a deep desire to help others (this fact would also be influenced by his past).

I think Carlos is a Scorpio because he is very determined when he sets his mind to something and also very passionate. He went through hell to find a vaccine for Jill; he didn't abandon her, and he helped her all the way. He can be flirty sometimes, and he struck me as the type of guy who falls head over heels quickly.

Karl is a Sagittarius. I think because he is a free-spirited guy. He didn't miss a chance to rebel against Miranda, and he always followed his own agenda regardless of what others said. They also know no limit and have no boundaries when it comes to their ideologies (that's seen in how much he developed his soldati).

Ethan is definitely a Virgo because of how practical he is. You put an average man in a house infested with monsters, and you'd think he would die instantly, but no, he learnt how to use his environment to survive (he learnt how to craft ammo and medicine). Toji Fushiguro VS Kenpachi Zaraki

Y'all gotta really hear me out here, Toji is a literal superhuman and Kenpachi (the strongest of the 13-court guard squad) has a nasty desire for serious bloodlust, these two in a heated spare filled with punches, kicks, and slashing of blades and cursed tools- would be so epic! I mean, I like to also imagine Toji is shirtless too- lol just girly things! I could imagine Kenpachi loving the battle bc of Toji's abilities and physical skills (I would sell my coochie to see this fight IRL)

Maki Zenin VS Rukia Kuchiki

Two of the hottest and strongest in a battle- yes yes yes yes, IMO Rukia for sure solos, i mean c'mon she's a captain but Maki also has a fair chance against her because of her own talents and capabilities. A fight between these two would be amazing!

Nobara Kugisaki VS Rangiku Matsumato

Both gorgeous, both confident, and both obsessed with shopping?

Totally! I think these two would be friends if the Bleach Universe and JJK Universe collided but since this is about fighting, I believe these two would have a fun battle. Both women are strong and have great skills and really cool abilities- It's hard for me to say who would win because both are equally talented! However, I think after the fight would be finished these two would love shopping with each other, talking about boys, and kicking ass together!

Kento Nanami Vs Byakuya Kuchiki

Both sophisticated, both the perfect gentlemen, both with the same aloof composure, and both really strong? HELL YES! I would loveeeee to see these two in a battle seeing Nanami use his ratio technique and black flash against Byakuyas Senbonzakura would be amazing! Idk tho, I think Byakuya would win, but that is up for discussion <3

Suguro Geto (Kenjaku) VS Sosuke Aizen

Don't even get me started, like just don't- I know Aizen has more of the advantage here but Geto, or Kenjaku has a really good chance IMO- I would love to see two villains who are both on similar missions of creating a new world would be in a battle with each other.

Yuji Itadori VS Renji Abari

I just think this would be funny to watch, but I would also love to see Yuji's divergent fists against Renji's Bankai I think it would be badass honestly. I love Yuji lord knows I truly do, but I think after a great effort on Yuji's end, Renji easily solos

Ichigo Kurosaki VS Yuta Okkutso

At first, I thought of Yuji instead, but I think Yuta would be way more interesting to watch, I could see these twos in a serious duel. Both are characters who faced massive losses that have pushed them to become strong. At one point in the fight I can see White hollow Ichigo coming out to help save Ichigo from a summoned Rika (yes I know the curse of Rika is already broken but let's act as if it isn't for the sake of the HC) Both are super strong, but Ichigo wins for sure IMO,

Y/n sat backstage, warming up her voice. A knock on her door makes her pause for a bit and open the door. Schlatt, also dressed in costume, smiles at her. “Hey, they called places. You wanna walk together?” He offers. 

Y/n and schlatt have known each other since high school. They met during the audition for their spring musical, both ended up getting leads, the main love interest for each other. Ever since then, they’ve been attached at the hip. Seriously, they’ve done everything together. They audition together, rehearse together, and sometimes have dinner together. Just two best friends who happen to spend everyday together. Their chemistry was unbeatable. How normal of them.

“Of course i’d like to walk with you.” Y/n answers, stepping out of the dressing room. Interlocking their arms together, Y/n and Schlatt walked to the wings of the stage. Y/n stood on her mark, giving Schlatt a thumbs up with a wide smile. 

Schlatt took a deep breath, walking backwards onto the stage as a woman announced their performance to begin. 

With a smile of his face, facing the audience, he began singing.

“I know I stand in line until you think you have the time to spend the evening with me. And if we go someplace with dance i know that there’s a chance you wont be leaving with me.”

Soon after Y/n slowly walked towards Schlatt, which was his cue to now look at her. His grin slightly widened, still singing.

“Then afterwards, drop into a quiet little place and have a drink or two. And then i go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like ‘I love you’..”

Schlatt grabs her hand, they both start to waltz. 

“I can see it in your eyes that you despise the same old lies you heard the night before.  I practice everyday to find some clever lines to say to make the meaning come true.

Their kiss scene begins, their faces closer together. Y/n felt his chops against her, softly gasping when she felt their lips touch. They’ve done this millions of times. But this time it feels different. It feels real.

Y/n gazed into Schlatt’s eyes, her face feeling hot. What was she doing? Why was she feeling like this? Suddenly Y/n begins to forget some lines, staring into Schlatt’s eyes. 

Thankfully Schlatt squeezed her waist, snapping her back into reality.

“I love you.”

“I love youu.”

As it was time for the song to end, they stopped dancing. Y/n’s grin now a soft gentle smile. She steps back, blowing a kiss to Schlatt. Blushing, Y/n looks at his face and notices Schlatt’s cheeks have a bit of a rosy hue to them. Y/n turns on her heel, running to her dressing room. 

Once Y/n plopped onto her chair she looks at herself, face flushed and her breathing rapid. “What the fuck..” She mummers to herself, hands rising to cup her cheeks. Y/n almost jumps out of her chair when she hears Schlatt’s voice. “Woah, sorry toots, didn’t mean to scare ya..” There was an awkward silence after, Y/n refused to stay anything first, afraid to say something she might regret.

Schlatt clears his throat, breaking the silence. “So.. should we talk about- That..?”

But in all seriousness- I am incredibly anxious about this too! I got my information about it from a Nicola and Luke interview where they imply something happens in part two that Nicola hated, and then Nicola goes “it’s not like he’s cheating on her..”

And then Luke said something like, “but he’s had to watch her all season..”

My hope is that it’s maybe at a ball and he dances with someone else in front of her after the Whistledown reveal. I would still dislike it because we’ve seen pen look longingly at Colin dancing with others for two seasons already, but it’d be far better if it meant nothing and was pointed, then it being an actual consideration.

If they did decide to do something with the brothel, even him just considering visiting a brothel, I am going to be so incredibly pissed off. I don’t care how upset or betrayed he is- cheating or even just considering cheating is so so disgusting and so unlike Colin.

Also I’m sorry but Whistledown is not that bad. I understand where the anger and feelings of betrayal would come from, but she has reasons. She was young and silly and went about it the wrong way but she at least has reasons for what she’s done.

If Colin were to do anything, however small, even if it was just implied possible cheating, there’s no reasoning there. There’s no ‘I did it for the grand scheme of things’ or ‘I was young and naive’ or even, ‘I felt powerless and overlooked.’

But in happier news (because a lot of this is just me spiralling) I think they’re clever enough not to do that. Bridgerton is kind of the ‘man on his hands and knees for woman he loves’ show, and it’s been extremely praised for embracing the female gaze in romance and sex alike.

here's a fun concept: Nether horses

I'm sure some clever name could be invented for them, hellhorses is obvious but idk if they'd wanna call them that, so they could literally just be called Nether horses, or hm. Tramples could be a fun name? but they're basically horses but in the Nether

and our idea for them is that they basically look like Overworld horses, but they'd have fire manes and tails, and my personal thoughts are that their coats would probably be ashy or coal black, etc. Or maybe red like netherrack, something like that. And important, they're neutral, not passive. They roam around and won't attack you for no reason, but if you hit one, it'll fight back. A new animation would be made for them where they can kick you, and the kick will basically have the knockback effect, so if one hits you when you're near lava, it's a big problem :') So just don't hit them

They'd be in biomes where hoglins aren't, since hoglins will attack them. But at the same time, hm. They're tamed using crimson fungus and they would likely eat those as well as nylium, so maybe there could be a new biome for them, like fungus fields or something. Pretty much like your classic Nether wastes, but the ground is crimson nylium with fungus growing from it, and the horses wander around and graze there

Piglins will not harm them, and in fact are sometimes seen mounted on them. Same rules apply in that situation as when you're around regular piglins, if you're wearing gold they ignore you, if you're not, they'll both be hostile.

As for taming a Nether horse yourself. You can't just hop on it like an Overworld horse. You'll immediately be set on fire. Think Ponyta from Pokemon. You have to gain its trust first. So you do that like you would a wolf or parrot, feeding it crimson fungus until you finally get the hearts that indicate it's been tamed. Then you can put on a saddle, armor, etc and ride it. You'll no longer be burned because the horse just doesn't want you to be burned :)

And yea, that's basically the idea! Neutral Nether horses for fast movement through the Nether, it's one of those concepts that probably wouldn't happen but would still be super fun. The striders are alright but kinda lacking on land, so a land-based mob would be great. Idk what would happen if they get brought back to the Overworld, maybe just. Their fire goes out but they're still okay, they're not gonna zombify or anything. They could be slower though. They really are best back in their home dimension

My first reaction to Michi was like "Who put Olivine in WHB?" Although Olivine would have a lot of fun here. It's hard to say anything about him and Gabriel because we don't really know anything about them, but I see potential. For now, I'm pretty neutral about Gabriel, and I'm curious about Michi.

From what I've seen, Principalities are very low-ranking angels.

Or at least that's what wikipedia says and that's consistent with what I know.

We all know how the Seraphs treat even the Cherubs who are right below them, so there must be something special about Michi if Gabe not only didn't send him to his death, but actually trusts him.

Damganropa ytber I liked started playing Rain Code like a few days ago. I like him because he doesn't hate women and disabled/nd people and has normal reactions to male characters having emotions which is huge in the gaming sphere. He has his Problems however I pretend it did Not Happen or just they aren't that significant or anything like idk to my knowledge I think he's too small to get exposed for burying dogs yet

And I remember what happened with Togami back in his dr1 days he's gonna go off on several minute long monologues on why he sucks while putting on an annoying voice to start roleplaying with himself as the chad to the Yomi liker wojaks in the comments. And like he's allowed to I would rather. Not really have to hear that for obvious reasons I might cry a bit tbh-
