awe like imagine steve cupping your face all soft while ur going down on him :) and his thumb just keeps swiping soft and tender over ur cheek and the corner of ur mouth :,) heâs being so gentle but you want him to be rougher so maybe u grab his wrists, fingernails biting into his flesh when u take him deeper, and then suddenly he's not holding u quite so much like youâre made of glass :) anyway
iâm not usually a girl who thirsts after giving head but fuckâŚ. this version of it? might just do that MDNI this entire blog is 18+
âFuck, baby,â Steve pants, his voice strained against the whine he fights down. Itâs proving extra difficult every time he looks down. Between the warm wet heat of your mouth and the sight of you between his thighs, heâs a fucking goner.
Still, his hands are soft, one laced loosely in your hair. It doesnât push. The other cups your cheek lightly, fingers twitching when your hollow your cheeks around his cock and suck hard. Itâs sweetâ but itâs not what you want.
âGod, youâre perfect, your mouth is so fucking perfect,â He babbles, a low moan dragging out his chest when you bury more of him in your mouth. Heâs heavy on your tongue and you adore watching the ripple of his tummy every time you bob up and down his cock.
Even then though, his hands stay sweet â his thumb moving down to brush across your stretched lips. He groans loudly, cock twitching in your mouth, eyes screwing shut. You peer up at him through your lashes, desperate to drink in all his reactions. How do you say this with no words?
Your hands shift, abandoning their mindless task of stroking along his thighs to grab his wrists. The motion has Steve freezing with a gaspâ eyes flying open. Before thereâs a moment to question, you tug them into your hair and push.
âOh shit,â He whines pitifully, face twisting up in pleasure as you sink even further down on him. You release his wrists and gargle happily on his cock. His hands in your hair seem to act without him thinking, tightening and pulling you further. âOh fuck, fuck, fuck.â
You moan around him, all too happy with the way heâs filling your mouth. You can feel the head of his cock drooling onto your tongue. Steve groans loudly, hands finally pulling backâ your head moving easily with them. His chest rises and falls quickly as he forces his eyes back open again, looking down at you. His cheeks are scarlet.
Youâre still sucking, your tongue lolling over the sensitive head of his cock, and Steve shudders with a loud whimper. His hands in your hair tighten again.
âFuck, I gotcha.â He murmurs as evenly as he can, guiding your head back down and setting the pace this time. âI know whatcha want, honey.â
You gaze up at him adoringly, hollowing your cheeks, and Steve moans brokenly, eyes flashing closed for a second â his hips bucking up into your mouth. Your gut burns with heat, hungry for his orgasm.

Be Mine [Loki x Reader]
A Link to my Masterlist is HERE Summary: A morning meeting has an unexpected twist. Warnings: 18+ Minors DNI. Language. Smutty. Avenger!Loki x Female Reader. Questionable flirting techniques. (w/c 2.8k)
The muscle at the side of Lokiâs jaw flexed. He swallowed; an achingly glacial bob of his Adamâs apple making you want to claw your eyes out.
For some inexplicable reason he had opted to wear full leathers to todayâs briefing.
It was seven nineteen in the AM. Thor was sporting a muscle vest boasting not one but three stains of varying complexity and a pair of shorts which left little to the imagination. Scott was wearing his dressing gown.
The rest of the team hung off chairs and flopped on the table in various states of undress. Steve stood at the head of the room as usual; prim and fresh in a crisp button-down and perfectly creased chinos.
âSo what weâre seeing here,â Steve said, turning to the group from the Powerpoint, âis an up-tick in biological experiments-â
His eyes narrowed while they roamed over the doodling, distracted and hungover band sprawled around the table. âLang.â he snapped. âClose your legs; there are ladies present.â
Scott shuffled up his seat, drawing the dressing gown down over his knees while mumbling apologies. A low rumble of mirth circled the room, but Lokiâs gaze never left the Captainâs.
The curve of his dark lashes swept upward, features set in performative rapture. Loki's facial expression hadnât changed as the scene unfolded, but for a miniscule twitch of his lip. Usually the two of you would exchange a few eye rolls; a few knowing smiles during a particularly turgid monologue about shoe storage post-mission...but not today. Today he hadn't even looked at you.
Steve sighed. He extended a finger and pushed his retractable pointer down to a stub. Pacing to the table, he dropped his head, laying his palms flat. When he looked up, disappointed-dad energy was thick in his eyes. âFolks, this just wonât do.â he said.
Natashaâs sunglasses slid down her nose. Scott crossed his legs making the swivel chair knock into Wilson and waking him up. The Falconâs arms flew wide on instinct, whacking Tony in the chest. âJesus Christmas-â Tony snorted, blinking wildly. âIt was a party.â Natasha drawled, pushing the sunglasses back in place with disdain. âMaybe if youâd stayed after the cake youâd have those tight panties of yours in less of a spick, Rogers.â
âThatâs Captain Rogers.â he snapped. âWeâre on the clock.â âCalm down, Rogers.â Tony said, cresting his fingers. He was remarkably chipper for a man with whipped cream crusted in his hairline. âYouâre all sitting on my clock. Remember that.â
Steve flushed scarlet. His eyes narrowed as Tonyâs smirk grew.
âAll Iâm saying is itâs a sorry day when Laufeyson is the star pupil. Look at him!â Steve said, gesturing incredulously at Loki who remained in position; back straight, chin up. But now, one eyebrow arched. âAll of you lot in your skivvies and Laufeysonâs in full dress?â Steve shook his head. âI fail to see the humour, Rogers.â Loki said. âWhy is it so surprising that I come to our daily summons dressed thus? Certainly I have never presented myself in a tragic towelling monstrosity like Lang here.â âThere was that one time with the silk nightie.â Sam whispered to Scott. Scott covered his mouth.
âA silk robe.â Loki snapped.
âUsually you only bring out the Asgardian shit when youâre brown-nosing. Or when youâve done something shifty.â Natasha said, propping her chin up with a fist. You bet her eyes are closed. Wanda nodded behind her Starbucks.
âOr trying to impress someone,â the witch said. Natasha waved a finger in agreement. âSexually.â Wanda added.
Loki released a scandalised snort. âHow dare you.â he said. Leather creaked against his biceps as he folded his arms.
Beneath the table, your thighs squeezed together. The only thing hotter than Loki in leather, was an indignant Loki in leather. You suddenly became very aware of your quickened breaths making the buttons of your blouse strain. The godâs eyes darted to the side, meeting yours. âWhat?â he snarled. âNothing.â you squeaked, swallowing. An awkward silence hung in the room. The scent of stale vodka suddenly seemed very strong. Steve sighed.
âLetâs call it for this morning-â he said, immediately met with muted hisses of celebration around the table. He patted down the air. âRescheduled for this afternoon. Thirteen-hundred sharp. Wear clothes.â Approval turned to whines and hushed curses as chairs were swivelled and aching bodies shifted. âUnbelievable.â Loki snarled under his breath.
You watched out the corner of your eye as he stood; the flat of his iron stomach inches from your face. The scent of rich leather filled your nostrils while Lokiâs fingers nipped beneath the hem of his tunic, tugging it down. He flipped the length of his cape with a sniff. You saw it swirl around his boots briefly as he stepped towards the window, clasping his hands behind his back.
Taking your time, you picked up each piece of carefully laid stationary at your seat. One by one, the rest of the team left the room. Steve was last, his hand hovering on the door handle while he shot you a wary look. As a parting gift, he opened the door wider. âYou didnât stay late?â Lokiâs voice was a thick hum in the growing silence. His tone, inscrutable. âHuh?â âAt the party.â he said. âYou didnât stay late.â
This time it wasnât a question. âI usually head off when Thor starts making passes at everyone. I didnât see you. Were you there?â âHe did that?â Loki bristled. âTo you?â There was a pause. âTo everyone.â you repeated quietly. Lokiâs shoulders stiffened. His fingers twitched, thumb digging into one exposed palm behind his back. He was still staring out the window.
âIâll see you later.â you said, nerves fluttering in your belly. The godâs hair shortened as his chin dipped. You wondered how it would feel to wind those dark strands through your fingers as you rode him. Wondered how the grunts and signs and pretty curses from his lips would sound wet in your ear.
âNo.â Loki said. âExcuse me?â âNo,â he repeated.
You steadied against the table-top with the pads of your fingertips. Small stars began to burst in your field of vision. âI think the leather looks goo-good,â you stammered. And you didnât know why.
The thought of him barring the exit of enemies in far flung realms using only that voice barged through the doors of your imagination with the force of a horny caveman. If that was the last sarcastic quip they heard, by god, you imagined they may just have died happy. And hard.
âIt looks good.â you repeated, no more than a whisper. Loki turned his head. The sharp profile came into view at a glacial pace. First the peaked tip of his chin, then the slant of his regal nose, then the harsh peak of his cheekbone, then his eyes. Your ass met the table-top with a stumble. There was a small crease between his eyebrows. âBold of you to make another jest without your compatriots around you, Agent.â he said. Across the short distance between you, venom dripped from his tongue; his hackles raised. âI wasnât joking,â you said quietly as his gaze fell to your feet with a sneer. The quick breaths that made your buttons strain were back. Lokiâs rising stare lingered on your breasts, a small smile tweaking at the corner of his mouth. Words tripped from your lips, forcing their way from behind your teeth. âI like it.â
Lokiâs eyes narrowed. He turned fully with a ceremonial flourish, the hands clasped behind his back moving to the front and rippling his leather and silken cloak. It fluttered.
âIs that so?â he purred darkly. He didnât believe you.
You imagined how this is how a rabbit felt in the eyeline of a fox. To look away was to admit weakness, vulnerability. It meant death. And yet â it was the only chance to escape. But did you want to escape? Not really. You wanted to feel the sharp of his teeth fasten to your neck as he sucked and bit and made violent love to every inch of you.
You nodded, not breaking eye-contact. Loki inhaled sharply, chin tilting up as he did so.
His eyes wandered over grim foam tiles as though an enemy lurked beyond the suspended ceiling. They narrowed, darting back and forth. With a thundering heart, you noted one of his heavy boots rise from the floor. He paced forwards slowly, ceremonially, stopping inches from you. Your fingers curled tight around the tableâs edge, the messy in your panties beneath the skirt becoming intolerable. Loki cleared his throat. âAm I to understand, contrary to common rhetoric, that you find my Asgardian leathers enticing; Agent?â âI think âenticingâ is a little grandiose, is it not?â you laughed, cringing at the way you so easily mirrored his speech. Loki noticed it too. He tilted his head. âI am nothing if not grandiose, Agent.â Loki said. âAm I not impressive? Am I not imposing?â
He trailed a long finger down your bicep, his touch light as a feather. âSo often, you mortals use such words as insult.â he mused.
âIt is merely a reflection on your own feelings of inferiority. This morning is a perfect example. An attempt at ridicule to deflect from their own pathetic presentation. Each one more bedraggled and an abject embarrassment to their purpose than the last.â Heat began to rise in your cheeks as his finger drifted along your collarbone. There was a pause, his eyes dropping to your lips before the finger brushed the skin at the hollow of your neck. It graced upwards, tracing the curve and stopping beneath the tip of your chin. âBut not you.â he said.
The godâs eyes snapped to yours. His cheekbones hollowed under fluorescent lights, mischief glowing from the depths of his irises and painted in every light wrinkle on his brow.
âWhat else do you like, Agent?â he goaded softly. âDo you like the idea of what lies beneath these leathers?â You swallowed thickly. âI donât know what you want me to say, Loki-â you said, glancing towards the open door. He followed your eyes, rolling his own. With a flick of his hand the door slammed shut. âI want you,â he breathed, leaning closer so that the heat of his cheek warmed your own, âto tell me what else you like.â
You bit your lip, watching his beautiful face come back into view. With a prang, the thought occurred that perhaps you were not the rabbit after all. Perhaps you were the fox. Lokiâs gaze lingered on your face, searching it.
Emboldened, you found the words. âWhy should I?â
His brows peaked softly. He released a muted sigh, pursing his lips. âAs much as I am loathe to admit it, Romanoff was right.â he said. The hand tilting your chin upwards returned to its mate, clasped against the leather tunic. âI was trying to impress someone, but not that insufferable Rogers.â
He raised his eyebrows.
Excitement blossomed deep in your belly; rising like shaken soda and fizzing around your chest. Loki bit his bottom lip.
âYou see, Agent, I like you very much. And Iâm afraid that now it has reached the juncture where I must know if you like anything about me...beyond my exquisite taste in battle armour.â
The change in his demeanour was so dramatic that you could only gape. But when it came to Loki, could you expect anything less? Without thinking you reached forward and grasped the belt slung over his chest, pulling him forward.
Lokiâs mouth clashed with yours, the heat of his lips giving way to the thrust of his tongue. Your hands slid over his metal epaulettes, tangling in ebony waves that cascaded around his shoulders. He tasted like heaven, the scent of him deep and dangerously delicious in a way youâd never known. A scent a girl could lose herself in forever; gladly.
In seconds your back was flat against the table, its cool wood harsh against the heat of your skin through the blouse. Lokiâs ravenous kiss consumed you, licking and dancing inside your mouth like a man possessed. His shallow moans ricocheted between slurps of his lips, wetness coating them.
âTell me, you infuriating woman,â he panted as a thick forearm landed on the wood beside your head. The metal vambrace clanged against cheap wood. Saliva hung between your mouths as he stared deep into your soul; blue eyes darkening. âTell me what you like.â
âAbout you?â you panted. Loki didnât nod, only lowered his chin.
His nose nudged at your lips, dragging upwards, tongue tracing around the bottom one. He had begun to smile. One of his legs nudged your thighs wider. The god straightened and you felt a thrill run from your scalp to the tips of your dangling toes. He towered above like a monolith, leather tight to his rectangular body. Hair fell around his jaw, perfectly imperfectly wolfish curls flirting against his skin. His cape brushed against your bare calves as he shifted his stance, palms sliding up your thighs and pushing your skirt higher. âYes; I like the idea of whatâs beneath all this,â you whined as you pawed at his leather-clad stomach. It was so hard. Loki smirked, watching beneath half-lidded eyes. âI think about fucking you in the showers after training,â you whispered bashfully as your hips thrust up against your will. Loki raised an eyebrow. âMore...â he rumbled. âI think about you all the time. All the awful things I want to do to you, y-you do to me- Loki, uhh-â
His hands crept higher as you spoke, fingers hooking around the hips of your panties. âIf I pull these down, darlingâ he said with an air of reprimand, âwill they be wet?â You let out a gasping moan, back arching against the table.
âExcellent.â Loki snickered, pulling the panties down the length of your legs before stepping back between them.
A hand flew to your mouth as you watched one long finger dip between your thighs, running lightly between your folds. He brought it to his lips, sucking gently. His cheekbones hollowed, finger slipping out. He swallowed with a groan of appreciation.
Loki settled himself between your legs, pushing them wider. The height of the table pressed your dripping centre against his crotch. You thought you might explode. His palms slid up your waist, exploring the curves of your body while your legs wrapped around his hips. The godâs cock pressed eagerly against the leather, strong and thick up the centre. His forearms came down at either side of your head, metal wrist-guards clinking.
âI will show you what it is to be mine,â he murmured in your ear.
Lokiâs cock settled against your sex, rubbing in perfect gyration. âOh...god,â you gasped as the weight of his body pressed against your own.
Fingers combed up from the base of his neck, tangling in his hair. The next moment, they grasped around his back, pulling him closer, catching in the folds of his cloak which draped across your bodies. The god grunted filthy praises in your ear as his bound manhood sent electric currents of pleasure deeper than youâd ever known. His searching lips found their way to your neck, your jaw. Every utterance from his throat more disgustingly sensual than the last. Hot leather filled your nostrils, the scent of him strong and intoxicating. Mounting orgasm bubbled in waves, a dream-like trance broken only with whispered groans of pleasure from your throats. Loki Laufeyson was about to make you cum. The thought was unbelievable. And yet, your pussy being tugged and massaged and owned by his leather-bound cock into the throes of heaven knew it to be true. Dry-humped like a teenager in the back of a pick-up.
âBe mine...â Loki mumbled breathlessly, a strangled choke gasping from deep in his chest. He immediately dove for a perishing kiss, pulling your bottom lip between his teeth and releasing it with a wet suck. He smouldered down.
Against the bright lights, his dark halo shone; tendrils curling against your cheek and brushing with every calculated roll of his hips. Every muscle in your body tensed. Your legs tightened against his hips.
âBe mine,â he echoed. His face was twisted, and you suddenly wondered how close he was to cumming in those beautiful leather pants. âLoki-â you gasped, clutching at his cape. Back arching, the last thing you heard as climax stormed your brain were the matching pants of the god. The last thing you saw were his peaked brows above dilated pupils so deep you could drown in them.
In the afterglow, all you could manage were garbled phrases as your forearm draped over your eyes. âThat was...unexpected.â you panted when the godâs weight lifted from your chest. âPerhaps for you.â Loki winked. âIt was very carefully calculated on my part,â You watched in dazed disbelief as Loki sank to his knees, leather creaking, and hoisted your hips higher. He lapped at your soaking pussy, muffled moans seeping from his throat as he buried himself in your fresh pleasure. The flat of his tongue licked a thick stripe from the base to your swollen clit, placing a gentle suck on the tip. His eyes flickered up, meeting yours.
âImmaculate, as expected.â he breathed. His chin glistened.
You groaned as he withdrew; grasping at the air as he went. That small caress of him against your sex was everything you could ever have dreamed. Loki let you reluctantly arrange yourself before offering his hand for the short hop off the table. âNot exactly how I imagined our first time,â you said with a sheepish smile. Loki scanned your face.
âAgent donât be insulting. That was merely a sample,â he scoffed. âIt barely counts.â He stepped forward, pulling you flush against him with a flat palm at the base of your spine. âWe must ensure you have eaten something before more intimate activities are indulged in; lest you faint. Or worse.â âOr worse?â âYou are only mortal, after all.â Loki smiled slyly. âAnd this,â he gestured to his cock; hard and straining against the leather, âcan be rather a handful. As well can his Master.â You slapped him on the shoulder. Loki smirked. Remembering the unexpected schedule change, you frowned. âYou think we have time before the meeting later?â
Loki snorted. âWeâre not attending. The two of us fulfilled our obligations, unlike the more cretinous members of our party.â You raised an eyebrow. âYouâre going to get me in trouble, I can tell.â Lokiâs fingers danced up your back, a light thrust of his hips making your body keen. His dirty exhale flooded your ear, the warm scent of him overloading your senses.
âOh Agent,â he purred against the skin; his eyes darting covertly to the pair of panties discarded on the floor. âAs if you expected anything less.â

can you see the stars in your dreams (and do they have a lot to say about me) - Part 2
Or: a secret Admirer AU
PART 1
Thereâs a note in Eddieâs locker. It flutters down to the dirty linoleum when he opens it to try and find his missing Biology textbook. He stares down at it, perplexed, until Jeff bends down to pick it up.
âHey!â Eddie cries, snatching it out of his hand. âThatâs mine!â
âWhatever, dude,â Jeff replies, leaning back into the closed locker beside Eddieâs and crossing his arms.
Eddie pays him no mind, too busy unfolding the note and bending over it to read.
He reads it again. And again. And again, each pass over the sign-off making his cheeks feel hotter.
Itâs not like Eddieâs a stranger to getting notes in his locker, but theyâre usually death threats. Or requests for drugs. NotâŚnot this.
âWhatâs it say?â Jeff asks, breaking him from his shocked reverie.
âNothing!â Eddie shrieks loudly enough that multiple heads turn to scowl at them. Eddie hastily stuffs the note into his pocket, and smiles at Jeff. âLetâs go get lunch, huh?â
Jeff squints at him suspiciously.
Eddie, in a desperate bid to distract him, starts rambling about this weekâs campaign. It seems to work. By the time theyâre settled in with matching shitty lunches, Jeffâs wheedling him for information on the next big bad instead of the note burning a hole in Eddieâs pocket.
Itâs probably a joke, definitely a joke.
He finds himself combing the packed lunch tables anyway, looking for anything out of the ordinary, anyone paying more attention to him than usual. Thereâs nothing. Harringtonâs letterman on a different girl, a few band geeks sitting closer together than usual, nothing else.
No one looks at him at all.
He gives it up as a bad job and forgets the note entirely until he finds a wet, pulpy mess in his pocket on his next laundry day.
A little part of Eddie mourns the only love note heâs likely ever to get, cruel prank or not.
But thereâs another one there the following week. Thereâs an envelope this timeâitâs light purple, his name written in a dark, careful black atop it.
Heâs alone at his locker, no nosy friends to wheedle it out of him, but the hallway is full of other students rushing to make it to their next class, so he presses it carefully into his monster manual and bides his time.
He wants to wait until heâs in the privacy of his own home to open it. Eddie barely makes it to his van after school before heâs collapsing into the relative privacy of the windowless back and tearing through his backpack like a rabid dog.
He tries to be more careful with the envelope. But itâs sealed, and his prodding fingers tear it open in jagged lines.
That same light blue paper is nestled inside. He slips it out and unfolds it to read in the dank recesses of his parked van.
 Eddie â
 You always look so happy when youâre with your friends. I like the way your dimples always seem to peek out no matter how small your smile is. The big ones are my favorite, when youâre jumping up on the cafeteria table with all your teeth showing.
 You didnât jump up on any tables last week. Was that because of me?
 You seemed upset after I gave you my letter. Do you even want me to write these? I donât want to be a bother. If you do, maybe you could write back? Leave your reply in the back of the WXYZ encyclopedia, no one ever uses that one.
 If you donât reply, then I wonât bother you anymore, okay?
 Yours, always,
 Your Secret Admirer
It could still be a joke. Eddie wouldnât put it past some of the jocks in the school to put their girlfriends up to a long-con. Still, his heartâs fluttering like thereâs a bird stuffed in there trying to get out.
It could be a joke. But Eddieâs already mentally picking out stationary and pondering word choices. There will be a letter tucked into the designated encyclopedia come tomorrow morning.
Eddieâs got a maiden to woo.
***Â
âWhat if he doesnât respond?â Steve hisses in Chrissyâs ear.
She bats him away, which doesnât seem like very good girlfriend behavior to Steve, but what does he know? Heâs had exactly one real girlfriend, and sheâd ditched him for another guy within the year.
âHeâll respond,â Chrissy whispers back, soothing his anxiety with a gentle pat to his shoulders.
The libraryâs not as empty as it was the last few times. Steve feels his heartbeat kick up every time someone looks up from their coursework and glances their way. At this rate, all his hairâs going to turn gray, ruining his best feature well before thereâs even a flicker of a chance to kiss Eddie Munson on the lips.
âWhy did we pick the library?â Steve asks.
Chrissy pauses in front of the bookcase holding the damning shelf of encyclopedias. She raises her eyebrow at him and asks, âwhat, youâd prefer the boyâs bathroom?â drolly.
âI remember when I thought you were nice,â Steve mutters quietly enough that he hopes she canât hear him. By the way she rolls her eyes, he has no such luck.
Then, without further prompting, she bends down and pulls the WXYZ encyclopedia off the shelf. Steveâs heartbeat ratchets up as he peers over her crouched head and watches her dainty hand flip the cover open. There, tucked between the front board and the cover page, is a crisply folded piece of paper clearly ripped carelessly out of someoneâs notebook.
Steve doesnât care; heâd still open it if it was written on a used piece of toilet paper.
He reaches down past where Chrissy is still crouched to retrieve the note, but just like before, she slaps his hand back.
âChrissy!â
She doesnât respond, just plucks the note and slides the encyclopedia back into its place. Once standing, she links her arm with his, running soothing fingers up and down his forearm even as she pulls him along toward the back of the library.
She pushes him down into a vacant chair with deceptively strong arms; he always forgets how difficult cheerleading must be. Once heâs slumped into his own chair, she pulls the one across the table to his side and seats herself primly on it, legs crossed at her thighs.
Only then does she unfold the note and lay it gently on the table in front of him.
      Secret Admirer,
      I donât know if this is a prank or if you genuinely like me, so Iâm not really sure what to say. No oneâs ever had a crush on me before, at least that I know of. Â
      I didnât know my hair was nice. My uncle keeps trying to get me to cut it. One time I brushed it and it was so poofy I wore a bandanna until I washed it again. But you probably didnât need to know that. Iâm glad you like it though.
      The paper you picked is really pretty, and I can smell the perfume you sprayed on the envelope. Fresh flowers in the spring, or a sunny day.
      âEddie
      P.S. You can keep writing. Your notes have been the best part of my days, and I hope mine will be for you, too.
Steve reads it over and over again. Eddieâs handwriting is spiky, but carefully rendered to be readable. The post script takes a little more squinting at the page, letters and words crowding over one another like heâd added it at the last minute.
From the few classes theyâve shared, a small part of Steve was worried he wouldnât be able to read it at all. But, no, Eddieâd taken the time to smooth out each letter, even while half convinced this was a prank. And the bit about his Uncle and his poofy hair? Adorable.
Steve brushes his fingers reverently over the words, half afraid theyâll smudge beneath his fingers. His face aches from the force of his smile.
âWhat should I say back?â Steve asks, looking up at Chrissy, feeling manic, hopeful, brave. Only then does he notice her carefully averted gaze, the way her body is turned just slightly away. He pushes the page toward her. âCome on, Chris, read it.â
She leans back toward him, smiling as she readjusts her body in a better position to read. âI didnât want to presume.â
âArenât couples supposed to share?â Steve asks, because even when heâs happy enough to beam light straight out of his pores, heâs fundamentally a bitch.
Chrissy doesnât respond, already too absorbed in Eddieâs words to pay him any attention, not that he can blame her. Steve waits, bursting with stupid, tender feelings until sheâs read the thing through and put the page back on the table, placed perfectly between them.
âSo, what should I say?â Steve asks.
Chrissy, never one to make things easy on him, starts the way sheâs started every other letter-writing session so far: âWhat do you want to say?â
***Â
The letter her and Steve had written together is in her bag, Steve understandably too fearful to carry it himself. Sheâd taken it home, used her nicer stationery and a decorative envelope because, as Steve had pointed out repeatedly, Eddieâd seemed to appreciate how pretty the last letter was.
Heâd sounded almost wretched when he said it, like proof that Eddie liked the pretty embellishments sheâd put on his words was all heâd needed to know that his feelings would never be reciprocated.
She hadnât known what to say.
So, sheâd taken it home, gussied it up, and brought it back to the school, waiting for an opportune moment to push it through the slats of Eddieâs locker.
Steveâs been walking her to class and to lunch, playing the dutiful boyfriend up. She likes it, all this time with him.
Heâs the best boyfriend sheâs ever had.
Jason, his only competition for the title, has looked more and more pinch-faced every time theyâve crossed paths. She wishes, almost, that heâd yell at her, hit her, do something. It feels like waiting for a bomb to blow.
Itâs not a surprise when the explosion finally hits.
âAre you serious, Chrissy?â Jason asks, and she spins, heartbeat rabbiting in her chest to find him storming toward her. And thereâs a look on his face that sheâs never seen beforeânot even when theyâd broken up that first time.
His eyes are hard, mouth open like heâs one second away from shouting, and as he speaks, both his fists clench as he steps toward her. She canât help the way she stumbles back into Steve, feeling comforted as his arm comes out to steady her.
âYou replaced me with him?â and he sneers that last word, like Steveâs gum heâs scraping off his shoe.
Jason used to go on and on about Steve back in their Freshman year, before whatever the hell that had happened with Nancy Wheeler had mellowed him out. Before that, heâd been the unmitigated king. King of the keg stand, sure, but king of the court, king of the cafeteria, king of them all, and Jason had deferred to him.
But after, as Steve closed in on himselfâCarol and Tommy still distant placeholders at his sidesâ Jason hadnât talked about him anymore. Like he was infected now, and whatever he had might be spreading.
Chrissy'd only liked Steve more.
So, she shores herself up with the pressure of Steveâs arm on her back and points a shaking finger directly into Jasonâs enraged face. âWe broke up, Jason Carver,â she says, surprised when her voice doesnât even crack. âItâs none of your business who I see.â
Jasonâs mouth hangs open, clearly shocked, and a small part of Chrissy aches for how it was before. She always thought theyâd be those high school sweethearts who got married right out of college. Theyâd just fit, or she thought they had.
He used to be nicer, sweet almost, in the way heâd talk to her.
Itâd been a long time since Chrissy would classify any of the words coming out of his mouth as sweet.
Jasonâs looking between them, eyes wide, something hurt leeching in past all that anger as he says, âyouâll come back,â in such quiet assurance that it makes her gut twist.
Chrissy watches him turn and walk away, stuck in the moment, until Steve squeezes her waist and asks, âare you alright, babe?â
Itâs only with the word âbabeâ falling out of Steveâs lips that she realizes theyâve attracted an audience. So, she smiles like sheâs leading a cheer for all to see, looks up into Steveâs eyes and replies, ânever better.â
They continue on their way into lunch.
Once there, she eats as Steve watches Eddieâs latest table-top rant with hearts in his eyes big enough to see from the moon. Like he hadnât given an almost identical one the week before. Steve doesnât seem to mind. Heâs transfixed, like Eddieâs a succubus and Steveâs stuck in his thrall. Until she elbows him in the side and he goes back to his lunch after shooting her a wounded look.
Boys in love are stupid creatures, and sheâs willing to do whatever it takes to protect this one, even if itâs just from himself.

Strawberry Fields Forever
Blurb: You go on a picnic date with some friends, not expecting to rile Eddie up.
Pairing: Perv!Eddie Munson x Friendly!Fem!Reader
Warnings: 18+ This is basically smut with a tiny bit of plot, cursing/swearing, some light mentions of alcohol, corruption kink, praising, exhibitionism, oral (f & m receiving), oral fixation, choking, fingering, teasing.
-
The sun flushed the earth with an unwavering heatwave and everyone in Hawkins was struggling to keep cool during this scorcher of a summer. There was no hiding from it. The humidity even penetrated the shade- no where was safe.
Naturally you seek out the forest, travelling along a trail with Steve, Nancy, Robin, Eddie and some of the younger bunch who had begged to come alone. They wanted to go swimming in Loverâs Lake and you wanted to have a picnic next to the water.
âFuck me,â Eddie groans, dragging his feet behind you, âCanât we just stay in here? It must be hotter than Hell out there.â In a huff, Eddie shrugs off his denim jacket, exposing his tatted arms as he slings the coat over his shoulder. He wore a black t-shirt, of all colours he chose black, no wonder he was melting into a puddle.
Steve wipes at his sweaty forehead with his forearm, his long mousy brown hair sticking to his sun kissed skin, âEddie has a point, Iâm sweating my balls off here.â Nancy snorts a laugh, her fingers interlocked around Steveâs bicep.
Robin marches in front of you, on a mission to try and keep up with the others children whom had snuck off into the distance, squealing and revelling in the great outdoors. Robin evidently being fearful that they were going to run off or worse- disappear.
âCâmon guys, itâs not so bad! Maybe you should have worn more appropriate clothes,â Your dig is aimed at Eddie and he rolls his eyes, panting in response. He is clearly hating how his hair seems to be gluing itself to his neck.
âIâll take my shirt off if you pay me,â He wiggles his eyebrows at you, his lips baring a wolfish grin, âThis ainât a free show, sweetheart.â He fans at his face, his flirtatious attempt quickly evaporating with his rising body temperature.
You take a hair tie from your wrist, handing it to Eddie, âYouâll be a lot cooler if you tie up that nest of yours.â
He gapes at you, offended, âWowâŚâ he drags out the word, âAnd here I was thinking that we were finally getting along.â You giggle at him before continuing your pursuit further, trying to catch up with the two love birds who had somehow overtaken you.
âItâs not long now, only a little further.â You call back to Eddie who is slugging behind you. Usually Eddie loved being outdoors, but in this heat? He would rather be dead.
The only thing keeping Eddie alive at the moment was the view he had of you from behind. Your ass is clad in the cutest pair of light denim shorts he had ever seen, hugging your thighs and body perfectly. You wore a red checkered blouse on top that slipped effortlessly from your shoulders, exposing the mounds of your breasts to him every so often. He was already fighting for his life against an erection.
So when the pale yellow and pink picnic blanket was set down onto the unnervingly fried grass and Eddie watched you unload the weaved basket he couldnât help but notice when your eyes light up at the sight of a massive bowl of strawberries.
âMy favourite!â You squeal happily, flashing the bowl to Eddie he chuckles heartily, his legs crossing over one another as he lays back, propped up on one elbow.
âStrawbs are good, I guess.â His shoulders shrug.
âYou guess? They are the superior fruit, Edâs!â This was a debate you were willing to fight until your dying breath. You would die on this hill.
Eddie plucks one from the bowl, examining the red fruit before he pushes the whole thing into his mouth, taking a moment to chew before swallowing.
âYâknow, Iâve always thought strawberries were much better with a little bit of creamâŚâ Eddieâs tongue dances out onto his lips, licking them clean of any juices that may have escaped.
He doesnât mean for it to sound so dirty, but when you donât register it that way Eddie sees this as an opportunity; to make this into a fun little game where he is a perverted fuck and you are absolutely oblivious to it all.
âHmm,â you hum in response, not batting an eyelash to Eddieâs cream comment as you push a strawberry between your lips, biting on the pointed end of it softly- savouring the flavour.
Glancing around you see nearby on the blanket Steve has his tongue wedged down Nancyâs throat. Sheâs nearly choking on it as they sloppily dish out kisses. Talk about no shame..
Robin is on life guard duty- or so she says. In reality, she just wants to do cannonballs into the water with the kids, splashing them and fighting with them. Jokingly pushing Dustinâs head beneath the water whilst Mike tries to do the same to Will.
Dustin emerges, crying attempted murder and you laugh hysterically, shaking your head proudly at their free spirits.
âAre you thinking of going in the water?â You flick your attention back to Eddie and he canât help himself from staring as you wrap your lips coyly around a massive strawberry. Your eyes peeking innocently up at him has his cock threatening to burst in his jeans and the thought of the strawberry being replaced by his thick manhood leaves him feeling dizzy.
âPossibly,â he gulps, his crossed legs becoming more tightly acquainted, âYou?â He cracks open a can of beer, taking a light swing to cleanse his drying throat.
You nod, looking between the lake and Eddie, âI might- it looks like they are having so much fun.â You sigh, feeling the most relaxed you have a in a while. Itâs not as hot anymore now that you have sat down.
âYou should.â
âPlease!â Eddie thinks to himself. He doesnât know why, but you have him totally bewitched. His hungry gaze never leaving your mouth as dark pink juice stains your lips. You slurp to try and prevent it from spilling all over you, the pad of your thumb swiping quickly at the leaky corners of your mouth.
Eddie thinks he might combust into flames right there and then, biting his tongue harshly to try and keep a groan lodged in his throat- can he taste blood?
âDo I have something on my face Edâs?â You ask after feeling his eyes on you for a prolonged period of time, your fingers tips tracing your cheeks gently.
Eddie shakes his head, âNo, love. Not a single drop touched your chin.â His voice is low, nearly a growl as it leaves his mouth.
From his side Eddie can sense Steveâs amused smirk on him. You might have been unknowing to Eddieâs game, but Steve knew exactly what the âfreakâ was up to. It relieved him to see Eddie finally trying to shoot his shot with you- it had only taken him a year and a half.
âYou would tell me, right?â You giggle, scooting closer to his lanky frame, âPromise?â
âPromise.â He tucks a rogue strand of your hair behind your ear and heat unrelated to the sun prickles at your cheeks, causing you to advert your gaze.
Eddie almost coos aloud at how adorable you are. He can guess that youâll taste even more sugary than the fruit youâre sucking on, âCan IâŚâ He picks up another strawberry, bringing it to your mouth. You hold eye contact with him as he swirls the tip of the fruit across the plumpness of your lips, allowing the lowest groan to emit from his throat.
âOpen wider,â His demand comes out as a bark and you slacken your jaw, your mouth gaping open wider for him to slot the strawberry inside. Eddieâs own jaw laid slack, his soft eyes on you unabashedly, âDoes it taste good, princess?â
You nod, your tongue slick with juice from the strawberry. It wasnât foreign for Eddie to call you sweet pet names, but something inside of you stirs at his voice. Sure you thought Eddie was attractive, often times youâd fantasies over him⌠but it hadnât ever gotten this intense in real life.
Youâd take every compliment from him with a grain of salt, but with the way his darkened eyes are staring at you now, it leads you to believe that something may be upon the horizon.

âWhatâd you say?â Eddieâs eyebrows knit together, his eyelids narrowing at you distastefully.
âUhmâŚâ it takes a moment for the gears inside of your head to turn, âThank you?â It is more of a question rather than a response, luckily Eddie seems satisfied nonetheless.
âExactly,â He grins at you dirtily, âDonât go forgetting your manners now, babe. I know youâre a good girl.â
An inaudible sound leaves your windpipe as you try to contain the feverish blush that has claimed your face as its own. Your heart is quick inside of your chest and you canât ignore the fluttering of your stomach and the pulse between your thighs. No one had ever made you feel like this before. No one was crazy enough to speak this filthy to you in person. So blatant and forward.
Just before Eddie can say anything more, water hits you both. So lost in your own world you had forgotten about your friends who you had came here with.
âAre you guys just going to sit there or what?!â Robin exclaims in a high pitched tone, visibly vexed at your unwillingness to join in.
Steve and Nancy were stripping down to their underwear, something that didnât phase you in the slightest. You look to Eddie for some sort of guidance and he shrugs his shoulders, leaving the choice to you.
âIâm happy here! Sorry- love you though!â You announce loudly and Robin rolls her eyes, shouting back that she loved you too before she was swimming off. It seemed like the group were venturing further down stream, leaving you and Eddie totally invisible to them.
âGood choice,â He purrs into your ear, making you jump slightly startled at his close proximity.
âI donât mind spending time alone with you, Eddie.â You reply honestly and Eddie toys with a piece of your hair in his fingers, twirling and twisting it.
He hums, intrigued, âIs that so?â Eddie knew he was pushing you, but fuck, was it fun.
You suck on your bottom lip, teeth nibbling at the skin as you nod your head, âYou make me feel.. happy.â The words come out as a low mumble, your finger tips playing with the hem of your shorts as you try to busy your nervous hands.
Eddie rumbles a chuckle, âI know a few other ways to make you feel âhappyââŚâ You are desperate to avoid his cocoa coloured orbs, but Eddie isnât having none of it as he gasps your chin sternly with his fingers, pulling your face to him.
âH..how so?â You wish the ground would swallow you whole as you stumble pathetically over your words. He hadnât even touched you intimately and yet, you canât think straight.
From your chin, Eddieâs fingers tickle down the front of your throat, hesitating there he decided to take a leisurely second to curl his strong fingers around your trachea. The momentary loss of oxygen makes your eyelids fall to hood your eyes, âFuck, I could ruin you.â The whole time Eddie continues to gawk at the partition of your lips, and how relaxed you look beneath his touch.
Releasing you slowly he continues his assault on your hot skin, his feathery touch causing goosebumps to erupt after their wake. He palms your breasts through your blouse, grabbing a fist full of the plush flesh which causes you to cry out quietly, âNo bra? Such a little fucking tease.â Eddie clicks his tongue, pinching your coiled nipples and roughly plucking at the stiff peaks with his fingertips.
âAh...â you mewl and Eddieâs ears perk at the sound, like a puppy being called on for the first time.
âHas anyone ever touched you like this before?â His raspy voice asks as his lips pepper a kiss to your exposed shoulder, his tongue running briefly over the skin just because he wanted to taste you. You shake your head, in total awe of him and everything that he is.
âPoor baby,â He pouts out his bottom lip mockingly before his lips stretch into a lascivious grin, âI can take care of you.â His tongue flicks at the lobe of your ear before he is pulling the flesh in between his teeth, gnawing on it playfully.
âBut weâre outsideâŚâ you remind him, your eyes focusing on the slow current of the water. The sun beating down onto it, making it glisten and glitter in a heavenly way.
âMhm, we are,â He sucks at your neck, your body jolting ever so slightly at the electricity that zaps at your cunt from the contact, âShe likes that, doesnât she.â Eddie laughs breathily as he pulls back from your jugular, situating himself between your bare legs.
âI bet your pussy tastes so fucking good.â Eddie nuzzles his nose into the soft skin of your inner thigh, causing you to giggle at the ticklish touch of his hair.
âWhat if someone sees us?â A look over Eddieâs shoulder confirms that the group are way too occupied with one another to even focus on you two.
âThey wonât.â His voice drips with confidence and his fingers move with deliberate precision as he rips your denim shorts from your legs, taking a pause to truly admire your underwear, and the darkened wet spot that had the material slick to your pussy lips, âThese are cute, baby. You always wear such pretty panties?â He perks an eyebrow whilst his fingertips dance over the lacey fabric and you look at him with wide doe like eyes, stunned by the question and his touch. You hadnât really thought about it.
âThey are just my regularsâŚâ you admit bashfully in a hushed tone and Eddieâs husky groan declares that he really likes that answer.
âNeed you so bad,â His fingers hastily hook around the thin elastic of your waistband, âCan I?â Even when he is too horny to think straight, he remains a gentleman.
Feeling just as needy, you nod, and without a beat Eddie is yanking your panties all the wall down your legs, taking them off and shoving them into his jeans pocket.
His large hands catch behind your knees, hoisting your legs up so they sit comfortably on his shoulders. He wastes no time in bringing his mouth to your mound, his tongue frantic as he laps at your soaked core, âMmm so fucking sweet.â He mutters, his voice dripping with possessiveness. Each caressing touch of his tongue driving you insane as you wrestle to keep yourself quiet.
Your whimpers send Eddie spiralling, awakening something primal within him. He wanted to watch you whither and crumble beneath his touch- he wanted to make you his.
Eddie moans into your dripping cunt, totally self indulging in the very taste of you. Your scent was now his favourite perfume and he wanted it to be seared into his memory forever.
âOh godâŚâ you pant, your eyes tearful as you look down at Eddie lapping messily between your thighs. You want nothing more than to scream his name at the top of your lungs, but instead you had to settle for silence.
Just when you thought you had mastered the art of biting your tongue, you feel a prodding at your entrance and then a gaping stretch as Eddie pushes two of his fingers deep inside of you, eliciting a grumbly moan from your throat, âYouâre so responsive, such a good girl for me.â
The feeling of his long fingers pumping in and out of your sopping wet pussy leaves your eyes rolling to the back of your head, your mouth hanging open when he curls his digits inside of you, massaging that sweet spongy spot.
Eddie has to pry his own lips away from your core, his addiction to you worsening with each passing second, âYouâre gushing baby, think you could handle three?â
The noise of your own arousal hits your ears like a symphony and you swear you have never felt pleasure like this before. Even when masturbating, it didnât compare, âEdâs.. please..â your voice is a pathetic whine and Eddie smirks at the way your eyes have blown in total submission to him. Youâre just as drunk on him as he is on you.
Youâre a babbling mess for him and Eddie is contemplating whether or not this is reality or just a really fucking good dream that heâs having, âThatâs it, baby, fuck my fingers.â Your hips buck upward to meet each thrust of Eddieâs fingers and you nearly cry out- seconds away from blowing your little operation but thankfully Eddie manages to clutch his hand harshly over your mouth, âShhh!â He warns with a smile as your eyes glaze over with pure lust. A tightness brews in your lower stomach, a blissful burn that you chase and chase and the next thing you know youâre a shaking mess, your thighs pressed firmly together entrapping Eddieâs hand inside of you as you cum- hard, screaming into Eddieâs palm.
âClever girl, taking my fingers so well, darling.â Eddie winks down at you, his lips punctured by his two front teeth as he forces his arousal dripping fingers into your mouth, the pads of his fingers exploring the length of your tongue, âYou taste so good, donât you baby?â You moan around his digits, still fleeting from your release.
âI would love to see those perfect lips of yours wrapped around my cock⌠you wanna do that, sweet girl?â He palms himself over his jeans, so rock solid that any touch to his cock nearly causes him to burst at the seams, âCâmere.â Eddie is gentle as he takes a hold of your elbows, pulling you in for a quick but heated kiss before he sits you propped up on your knees.
âLookinâ all pretty, just for me.â You are so gone, your head is in the clouds- mind filled with Eddie, Eddie and more Eddie, âOpen up, sweetheart.â Eddieâs fingers glide through your hair, clutching the delicate strands at the root in a domineering grip. You shouldnât like the pain, but you do.
Obediently you listen to Eddieâs deep voice and you open your mouth nice and wide, sticking out your tongue flatly to allow Eddieâs length to sit comfortably on the muscle, âShit, princess, have you done this before?â He blurts, the question being rhetorical as a rapacious smile appears on his face as he forces his cock further into your mouth, the tip hitting the back of your throat causing you to gag slightly.
âYou can take it, right?â He punctuates his question with a thrust, tears swelling in your eyes as you struggle to breathe. Your nostrils flare, desperate for air as Eddie menacingly fucks your throat, âJust as I imagined.â He beams, balls deep in your mouth as you peer up at him, your nose tickled by his small snail trail leading to his belly button.
âKeep looking at me,â He asserted, his lips parted in astonishment at the image of you in front of him- so picture perfect, he wanted to carry it around in his wallet. You hollow your cheeks, drool pooling from your open mouth and dripping shamelessly down your chin. You can feel the wetness of your own saliva soaking the skin of your thighs, âThatâs it, princess, eyes on me.â
âShhh⌠I know itâs a lot, donât cry.â His large thumb wipes your tear streaked cheeks, his eyes swirling with adoration and sin, âIâm so close baby, keep goinâ please.â And you do. Anything to have Eddie be pleased with you. To hear him call you a good girl. His good girl.
Your cheeks ache as your face bobs up and down his length, your chin pressing against his sack every time you meet his base. His hand is tangled messily in your hair now, fucking against your own movements.
A pleasure filled wail leaves Eddieâs mouth, his head thrown back in euphoria as his cum shoots far into your mouth, leaking down your oesophagus.
You both stay that way for a moment afterwards, Eddieâs hips rutting gently against your tongue as he allows his high to subside.
âYou okay?â He muses, checking your features for any sort of discomfort or sadness.
âYeah,â you reply, a happiness apparent in your cheerful voice, âThank you.â
He starts himself up and pulling his jeans securely back around his waist, however it takes him mere seconds before he turns his attention to you. Dropping to his knees he grabs some napkins from your picnic basket, gliding the soft paper tissue over your swollen mouth, âYou look so beautiful right now.â He chirps, landing a kiss to your forehead before continuing to clean you up. His touch is tender as he helps you shimmy your denim shorts back onto your hips, his lips littering kisses up your bare legs as he did which causes you to giggle. The moment feels light and airy and you can tell that this is the beginning of something really special.
Without a second to spare, the group approach shore. You are met with raised eyebrows and confusion at your flushed appearance and messy hair.
âSo,â Steve interjects with a catty smirk, âWhatâd we miss?â

Steve as a late night radio DJ, with Robin as his producer (because my partner has made me watch so much Frasier lol). He's got the sexy voice and Eddie, frontman of successful metal band Corroded Coffin, still remembers him from Hawkins and, ugh.
But, well, his manager set up the interview and it would cause more of a stir to no-show than it would to turn up and bicker with some washed up former high school bully. It's a different city, a different decade; maybe King Steve won't even remember him.
So Eddie turns up, and he actually beats Steve there. To the point of the show starting and it's just him in the booth, chatting awkwardly with Robin to fill the air. It gets less awkward the more they talk, idly catching up on old small town bullshit and what it's like to go from isolated baby queers ("I thought I was totally alone!" "Really? You didn't clock the black bandana hanging out of my pocket for five of my six years in high school?" "Sorry old timer, I was still in middle school for part of that." "Oh fuck off, Ms. 'I went to Sarah Lawrence and all I got was this awesome girlfriend.'" "Sorry Eddie, we can't all be super late bloomers like you.") to Actually Successful And Functioning Adults. (She's kind enough not to mention his single but unfortunately well known brush with rehab, other than to congratulate him on his seven year chip.)
And then Steve bursts in, huffing and puffing and diving for the headphones and mic to apologize to both them and the audience for being late. He doesn't even try to offer an excuse until Robin asks, "Uh, Steve? Want to share with us why your arm's in a sling and one of your eyebrows looks like it got flambĂŠd right off your face?"
Which turns into a very put-upon but entertaining retelling of Dustin Henderson ("Oh damn, Henderson! I fell outta touch with him ages ago. How is that little shit?" "Married. He didn't end up converting to Mormonism, but they still have enough kids to make up half a basketball team." "Is that... a lot?" "Six, Munson. They have six kids." "Which is funny, because he made soooo much fun of Steve for wanting that many back in the day." "Yeah. Showed him." "Fuck, my condolences to his wife if they all inherited his big head. You gotta give me his number after this. OrâDUSTIN, if you're listening to your babysitter's show, come to my next concert and there'll be two backstage passes with your name on it! Or, well, that embarrassing nickname your radio girlfriend used to call you, since I think I've blurted out your full government name by now." "That girlfriend is actually his wife now." "No shit?! Wow, I can't believe one of my little lost sheepies has managed to keep the same girl for over a decade. Is she really hotter than Phoebe Cates?" "Oh, she is smokin." "Robin, don't make it weird." "Oh it's okay, she already knows. I told her.") ... A very put-upon but entertaining retelling of Dustin Henderson coming over to discuss plans for Ma Henderson's birthday, and bringing a cherries jubilee that Suzie had made so he could literally demonstrate the flambĂŠ presentation ("Listeners, I swear I did not know, when I asked Steve about his flambĂŠd eyebrow, that it was a literal flambĂŠ accident. Eddie, can you confirm?" "I can confirm, Robin. We received no heads-up calls or messages from Steve before or during the show. It was serendipitous irony, 100% pure.") but poured waaaaay too much brandy on, and then Steve tripped in his mad dash for the fire extinguisher ("He was no help at all, just stopped dropped and rolled right there in the middle of the damn kitchen." "How are his eyebrows?" "Ugh, I have more of them than he does right now but at least his match. Don't worry everyone, he's fine. No nerds were injured in the course of this improv slapstick comedy routine that is my life. I swear to god, I need a girlfriend or a boyfriend or someone reasonable to hang out with besides all you weirdos." "Aw, you love us." "Yeah Stevie, what would you do without your loving nerd squad?" "Yeah, yeah... But don't try to leave yourself out of this Munson, as far as I'm concerned you're still the king of all nerds. And if you're reconnecting with Dustin, you're stuck with us too.") and had to stop by urgent care on the way to work.
Throughout all of this, Eddie is not twirling a lock of hair around one finger... but only because it's tied haphazardly back to keep it out of his face for the day. Steve is different from the guy he remembers strutting the halls of Hawkins High. Still all freckles and hair and charismatic grin, but he carries himself differently. More solidly built in his mid-thirties than his late teens, with a layer of softness that suits him. Calmer and settled, with the kind of confidence that comes with growing up. And the girlfriend or boyfriend thing? Holy shit. Holy shit. King Steve? Who knew? But, well, it explains why Steve and Robin are so close, Eddie guesses.
The Steve Harrington that Eddie had known back in the day hadn't exactly been the worst of the bullies, but he'd been friends with them, and they had spouted plenty of homophobic shit. And Steve had been looking right at him as he'd said it, like he's aware that Eddie is terminally single and maybe, just maybe, there was a flicker of a question in his eyes.
Eddie has been publicly out for a while now, and the thing is... Steve is definitely his type. So he leans into it a little, testing the waters. And Steve responds to it like a sunflower greeting the sunrise.
By the end of the show Robin is slapping post-its on the glass partition that read "Get his number dingus" and "Get a room" and Don't make that face at me, yes I do know that he can see these too and I don't care, GET IT or I will recruit Dusty-dun to my cause" and "To clarify, the cause is getting you laid. Eddie, take note, he's allergic to latex."

Continued from here but heading all the way back to the beginning. (Not yet) Olympic Swimmer Steve, Hawkins Public Pool, summer 1986:
Eddie isn't a natural swimmer, but he has to find some way to regain the strength those fucking bats took. So when he finds out that Steve and Max are both doing their physio in the public pool, he blows Wayne's mind by demanding he goes to Melvalds and buys Eddie some swim trunks.
Not that Eddie is a follower. But if the rest of Team Rehab is in the pool, then Eddie is gonna be in the pool too.
The problem is that now Eddie is in the pool. He's wet, he's exhausted, and he's wearing nothing except what's basically soaked, clingy underwear, while Steve fucking Harrington looks majestic and gorgeous, swimming lengths not ten feet away.
"It's better through binoculars," says Max. She's sitting on the edge of the pool, even more tired out that Eddie is. Eddie is half taking a break and half making sure she doesn't slide off the side and drown.
"Hm?" Eddie asks.
"Steve. Shirtless. It's hotter through binoculars."
Eddie has one second of limb-freezing, stomach-tightening terror, the same second he always gets, no matter whether someone is being too perceptive or whether he's deliberately outing himself.
He makes himself breath through it.
"Jesus Christ, Maxine," he says and gets kicked in the back for his troubles. He'd like to think the kick is gentle because she's worried about his injuries, but it's probably just the hardest she can kick, right now. "Maybe I'm looking at his form."
Max laughs. "Well, yeah."
Eddie gives up. He looks over his shoulder at her. She has the expression of a person who is cool about you being queer and also wants you to know that she's cool about you being queer and also is fifteen and doesn't want to have fucked up.
Eddie makes himself be brave back. "Is it me or is he just getting more built, while you and I flounder around over here, just trying to regain any muscles at all?"
"He's here like, all the time," Max says. "Like hours before us and hours after we go home. He says it turns his brain off."
Eddie can kind of see that; it's definitely harder to think about all the shit that went down at spring break when you're busy trying not to get chlorinated water up your nose.
"Doesn't he have his own pool though? I'm damn sure he has his own pool."
Max shrugs. "I think it got earthquaked." She lifts her head, using a hand to shield her eyes. "Hey, who's that?"
Eddie looks where she's looking and sees a middle aged dude in red swimming trunks and a white t-shirt squat down at the far end of the pool, catching Steve's attention when he surfaces after what must be his fiftieth length in a row.
They're too far away to hear what's being said, but Steve pushes his hair back off his face and bobs in place, clearing listening hard. They talk for a while, long enough that Eddie and Max both start shifting, Max - like Eddie - clearly wondering if they need to stage a rescue.
Then the guy nods to Steve and stands up, walking away, while Steve turns, looking around.
When he spots Eddie and Max, he swims over, all long, and golden and wet.
"Who was that?" Eddie asks, when Steve pops up next to them. "Trouble?"
"No." Steve shakes his head, clear drops of pool water flying from the ends of his hair. "No, he's a swim coach here. He says I'm good."
"Duh," says Eddie.
"You know you're good," says Max.
Steve grins. He does know he's good; it's written all over his face. But so is some bafflement and Eddie doesn't think that's faked.
"Yeah, but like, he wants to train me. He thinks I could compete?"
"Like at the Olympics?" Eddie asks, not totally sure where else swimming people go to swim.
Steve laughs, but only a little meanly. "Jumping a hell of a lot of steps there, Munson. But maybe State? I could maybe do State? I was supposed to be at tryouts last year, but." He shrugs.
"But Billy gave you a massive concussion," Max fills in for him.
Steve shrugs again.
Max kicks him, about as hard as she kicked Eddie. "You better have said yes to that guy or so help me I'll crawl after him myself."
Steve rolls his eyes at her, but they're sparkling. He looks excited, pleased in a way that Eddie hasn't seen for months. "Yeah," he says. "I said yes."

Eddie needs Steve to be a little more understanding. This is a lot, okay?! He's in some weird ass dimension and is being attacked by creepy creatures after a huge traumatic thing happened to him and now STEVE IS BEING HOTTER THAN EVER? Just drag him down to the depths of hell at this point, Eddie is done. This is TOO MUCH!!

- Stop worrying and do it đ§
steve harrington x reader
+18 smut, fingering, squirting, overstimulation, soft steve to softdom steve, fluff
You finally get steve to be all yours after two successful dates... but he is a bit worried about the size of... his hands.
i couldn't help myself after the new pictures of joe keery with his hands out. mother fucker has king kong digits.
anyways enjoy.
You were a patient person. You really were, but you wanted to jump Steveâs bones after matching with him on Tinder. He was so perfect and good-looking, and when the two of you went on the first date? He was such a gentleman, and it only made him even hotter. You were certain he was not into doing stuff on the first date except for a kiss.
The kiss was full of passion, and tenderness, and you wanted to press yourself against him, climb over the console in order to straddle him. He had taken you home, and he was the one to make a move first, but you had to hold yourself back and try not to seem desperate.
Even if you were.
Now on the second date, the food was amazing, his soft kisses while outside the restaurant were enough to ignite a fire in you that you never felt before. The heat between your legs became too great, feeling the stickiness in your underwear. You whispered to him to take you home and he completely understood the double meaning of it.
The two of you had gotten to your home, kissing through the doorway, taking each otherâs clothes off as you walked towards your room, which you tidied up just in case this were to happen, hopefully. His tongue swirled inside your mouth as moans escaped your lips when his impatient hands ran under your shirt, gracing your skin.Â
Your eyes almost opened in surprise when you felt his fingers skillfully, and in one move, snapped your bra open. A gasp escaped your lips while a chuckle escaped his and into your mouth. Your hands ran through his hair as you pulled him closer and closer to you, body flushing on his, as you kept moving towards the bed.Â
You pulled away, breathing heavily, and turned him around in order to push him onto your bed, surprising him but a chuckle escaped his lips, pushing himself deeper onto the bed, only to choke up as you pulled your shirt and bra off in one move. He was trying to keep his composure but lost it when you got on all fours to crawl over him with a grin on your face, biting your bottom lip.
His pants were straining him, painfully so, and he moved quickly to at least take his shirt off so you werenât the only one half-dressed here, ever the gentleman. Your eyes sparkled with lust, as you inspected his chest. Hair in the right amount, and pecs slightly formed that expanded whenever he breathed out. You licked your lips as you straddled him as he sat up to wrap his arms around you, bringing his mouth to yours again.
Your hips started rolling onto his bulge, making him moan in between the kiss, and you only whimpered whenever the friction of his jeans rubbed against your core, and it was incredible you could feel him even through your own pair of jeans. It was the right amount of pressure against your clit, and you knew you were soaking through all the fabric that was covering you.
Your lips moved with his, hands tangling with eachotherâs, desperately ripping one anotherâs clothes off. You both needed to see eachotherâs bodies, see what they were about to taste. You bit your lips when he hovered over you, already licking and sucking onto your right nipple as he rubbed himself against your clothed pussy.Â
He was leaking precum and probably staining his boxers, but he couldnât care less at this point, he needed to be inside of you. He didnât want to seem like he was there for only this, because he really liked you. You were funny, charming, freaky, and you had your own spark. He wanted to know more about you, crazy to think that after just two dates, you had caught his attention. A lot.
You werenât far behind, you liked Steve. He had opened doors for you, he didnât let you pay on the first date, but accepted the split check in this one, letting you feel independent of some sort. He didnât make you feel like you needed a man to pay everything for you, or do everything, and you were grateful for that. He wasnât trying too much, but he was doing just right for you.
And he was so handsome. Oh, that was the first thing you noticed in the Tinder pictures. How is this man single you thought at that time. You were drawn to everything, his eyes, his hair, his lips, his fucking freckles, his clothing style, and in the picture where he played his guitar⌠his hands.
Those hands that are roaming all over your body now, hands that are manly, big, with veins all over, and you salivated everytime you saw when the glass was engulfed by his fingers. You wanted him so bad, so you couldnât wait for one more date, and it seems he couldnât either.
You felt him move, letting your nippled go with a pop, so he could be hovering over you but on the side so he could run his hand downwards towards your clothed cunt. You bit your lip with excitement and anticipation and you jerked when you felt him rub onto your clit, slow and in small circles.Â
âYouâre so wet already, fucking hellâŚâ You heard his mumble, almost a grunt, making you smile in your bliss as he kept doing small circles against you, making your hips move upwards into his touch for more, but he was teasing you so it seemed, not doing what you wanted.
âStevie~â You purred out in warning that you didnât want to be teased, you were too turned on right now to be played with. He chuckled at your eagerness, giving a soft kiss on your neck so he could move to take your underwear off, sighing with bliss as he looked at your pussy.
If it werenât for the fact his dick was killing him right now from how hard it was, he would have eaten you out with no hesitation, because that is the prettiest cunt heâs ever seen in his life. He will have to save it for next time, hopefully there is a next time. He returned to his previous position, kissing your neck as he returned to rub circles on your clit, a little faster than before, just a little.
You needed more, you wanted those fingers inside of you, but when you raised your hips for more he backed up. You were a patient person⌠you had to remind yourself you are patient. You moaned his name in order to catch his attention and he only mumbled on your neck as he kept sucking on it.
âHmm? What do you need baby?â
âF-Fingersâ Fingersâ Inside pleaseâŚâ And you could feel him tense up a bit, his movement stopping for just a second before he started again. It felt good, it was feeling good, but why isnât he doing more? You needed more because your body was getting hotter and hotter and what he was doing was not enough. âS-Steveââ
âYeah?â He mumbled on your skin again, and you raised your hips towards his hand only for him to move with your hips and not against it. You plopped on the bed with a whine, making him stop and raise his head in order to look at you. âWhatâsââ
âGet your fingers inside of me!âÂ
You couldnât be any more blunt. You were afraid you were going to have to spell it out to him, but you were frustrated and needy and what youâve been wanting him to do since you saw his Tinder profile, he isnât doing. You saw how his body tensed, pulling his hand away from in between your legs and you groaned in displeasure at that.
âI umâŚâ You could see he was nervous, making you have a little bit more empathy for the guy, only for your eyes to widen, your hands covering your mouth in shock.
âOh my god, are you a virgin? Oh, fuck, shit, I didnâtâ I didnât knowââ At your rambling, Steve only laughed, shaking his head, letting your nerves calm down a little bit more.
âI am not, sweetheart, donât worry⌠Itâs just⌠the last girl Iâve been with told me thatââ He showed his large hand to you, the one that had been touching you before and you felt your mouth salivate again. âMy fingers hurt her.â
Your eyes snapped open in surprise and you looked at him. What?
âIâm sorry⌠what?â You were surprised, to say the least, because if she claimed his hands are bigâ âWhat about your dick? Didnât that hurt her?â
âShit, you are straightforward.â He chuckled at that and shook his head. âI didnât get to have sex with her, but honestly it might have made me a twinge, a smudge, a bit conscious.â
You looked at his hand again and you wanted to prove to him how much you wanted those fingers inside of you. That girl probably was a tight ass making her a prude, because who wouldnât want these fingers? You bit your lip and grabbed his hand, taking your tongue out in order to drag it base to top on his index and middle finger.
His eyes widened at your action, his dick kicking up again in his boxers and you felt the twitch because it was pressed onto your thigh, making you chuckle as your eyes found his.
âI want these fingers inside of me. Make me cum with your fingers, please Stevie~?â
And oh shit, he was going to comply. He took the opportunity to introduce his fingers slowly into your mouth, and you took them with a smile on your face. He was lubricating them with your saliva as he pumped them in and out of your mouth. He groaned as you moaned and the vibrations were sent to his digits.
He pulled them out of your mouth and leaned down to press a hot kiss on your lips, pulling away with his forehead against yours, his breath hitting your face as he talked.
âTell me if it hurts.â You nodded at his command, your belly burning with need again as your hips looked for friction. He guided his hand downwards and he coated his middle and index fingers with your slick, going up and down in between your folds. He wanted more lubrication, just in case.
He licked his lips as he kept staring at you to see your facial movements just to make sure you werenât lying. He slowly started getting his middle finger inside of you, and your mouth fell into a soundless moan.Â
One finger, and it was a nice lovely stretch. It was so good, you couldnât even imagine how two would feel like, what three could possibly make you do. You wanted him to move faster and you moved your hips against his hand, and finally, he pushed forward instead of backwards like before.Â
He started pumping his single digit as your moans started having some sound, and he was deep, oh he was so deep. You smiled in bliss at the sensation and your hips started going in sync with his thrusts. He groaned at the squelching sounds, knowing he made you so wet that it was provoking it to happen.Â
âItâs so good Steve, oh god, more, moreââ Steve bit his lip as he joined his index finger to the mix and your eyes widened at the different stretch. It was fucking delicious. Your belly was burning in need and your moans began to feel choked as he went deeper and deeper with his new finger.
His tempo increased, the squelching now becoming obscene as your back arched upwards, letting him have free access to your nipple. He leaned to take it into his mouth, his teeth biting on it and pulling and well, that was new. He didnât do that before and you needed him to do it again.
You moaned his name loudly as he bit and pulled again, feeling his fingers going in and out of you as your hips met his thrusts, only to then throw your head back as you cried out in ecstasy. He had curled his fingers and he was hitting your G-Spot perfectly. No person has ever made you feel the way this man is doing right now. He was taking care of you. No one ever cared to do so before.
You could hear him chuckle as your legs trembled, your juices coming out already from how wet you were as you breathed moans out of your lips, his name being in a mumbled mess of noises.
âYou like that sweetheart?â You nodded dumbly and your eyes widened when he pressed his hand roughly against you, making his fingers go way deeper than before, and he stayed there, wiggling the first knuckle inside of you. âI asked you something baby.â
Oh⌠if you couldnât be more hooked on this guy, you definitely were now.
âIt feelâ feels goodâ So goodââ You managed to choke out and the pressure left you, but his fingers kept pumping inside of you, the bed of his palm pressing every so often against your clit, causing the soft touch to send shivers and electricity all over your body.
The coil in your belly started to turn, and your legs and body began to shake. You smiled in between your moans as you were finally reaching your climax, your first climax.
âYou close darling?â You nodded dumbly at that, muttering a small âuh-huhâ and it was there, it was making your belly shrink, your pussy pulse, and thenâ he stopped. Everything. You opened your eyes alarmingly and you looked at him in question.
âW-Why? I wasâ I was so close Steve!â You whined in frustration as you tried to move your hips in order to get friction once more, only for your chin to be grabbed roughly so you could look at him again.Â
âI have one goal now. And I will reach it, so hold it in honey.â
You didnât know why he was doing this, not only he edged you this time, but again, and again, and you had tears in your eyes already, and at one point he had changed hands and he was still skilled with his non-dominant one. Your body was aching from all the trembles he imposed on you, and you were sure you werenât going to be able to handle anymore of it.Â
âPleaseâ Please Steve, let me cum, let me cum, please!â You were begging him, almost crying pathetically and he chuckled, pressing a kiss to your neck as his fingers rested inside of you, palm resting on your clit as he rubbed it on you, making you moan from the feeling.
âI think youâre ready for that.â And he returned to thrusting his fingers in and out of you, curling upwards and it felt so sore. Everything was overstimulated, your clit, your pussy, your insides, absolutely everything, but he said you would get to cum now, so you were eagerly enjoying his ministrations.
Only to then feel a coil in your belly again, but this time it was a very different one. It felt almost painful, on your belly and going downwards. It felt very weird, something you hadnât experienced before, but maybe it was because you were sore? Or the edging? Butâ
âS-Steve, something weirdâ Somethingâ Oh godâŚâ Your mind was blurry suddenly, his tempo increased at a speed he hadnât done all night, saving it for last. He rubbed onto your G-Spot repeatedly making your tears fall from your eyes as moans escaped your throat as well as whimpers and cries of his name.
âYeah? Then fucking cum for me baby, itâs gonna feel so good, cumâŚâ And fuck, you couldnât think, you couldnât speak, but it felt so powerful, almost as if you were going to pass out.
âSteveâ I feel like Iâm gonnaââ You canât finish the sentence, too embarrassed to do so, but it felt as if you were going to pee yourself. He only smirked at that, knowing what was going to happen, and he only did this once in his life, and since you were so eager for his fingers, he might as well take the chance to engrain himself in your mind.
âLet go. Let fucking go.âÂ
And your eyes widened as your hips went upwards, rising completely from the bed, your mouth open but you didnât even know if moans were coming out at all. You were seeing white, just complete white as your belly screamed and turned and your cunt gushed your juices out in big spurts. The sounds were not wet, not even a squelch, just purely and pornographically wet.
It felt never-ending as he kept pumping his fingers in and out of you, helping you ride it out, and finally, you plopped back down on the bed, panting heavily as your eyelids drooped, exhausted but so blissful. You were so light at the moment, like a feather, or a cloud. You felt something on your cheek, and Steve was kissing you, not caring for the sweat all over your face.
âYou with me angel?â You heard him with a chuckle and you gave out a breathless giggle, nodding as your chest went up and down.
âY-Yeah⌠fuckââ You opened your eyes a little bit more and you finally felt as if your hips were on wet sheets. You looked down and your eyes widened slightly and you looked at Steve who had a proud smile on his face. âHoly fucking shitâŚâ
âYou⌠sure youâre okay?â His soft dominant persona faltered slightly in order to check on you. Your heart was beating wildly thanks to all the action you just received.
âI never squirted before⌠Holy fuck SteveâŚâ You chuckled again and he followed you soon after, leaning down to place a soft kiss on your lips.
âIf youâre too tired, we can continue some other dayââ At those words, you sat up, not caring for how wobbly you felt because of how much that orgasm took a toll on you, and you immediately turned to look at him and throw a leg on each side of his hips, straddling him.
âOh no⌠If your fingers do that⌠I wanna know what your cock can do.âÂ
And Steve only smiled. He is more than happy to complyâŚ
Ever the gentleman.
hope you enjoyed, keery's hands are ginormous

Simmer #2
CH.2 Ice Box | The Menu [4.1K] Eddie Munson x shy fem!reader: a line cook au.
The first week at Jimâs went somewhat smoothly.Â
You figured out a bus that would take you out of town and to the diner when it was raining or too dark, a rusty old thing that rattled the entire journey but it meant you got there a few minutes before your shift started. The summer was still present, a growing thing that became hotter and bigger as June turned to July, the sidewalks baking, the skies an endless blue between storms that you didnât really mind.Â
You got to meet the rest of the team that first morning, bumping into a girl as you made your way through the side door meant for staff. Robin was another waitress, a little blunt, really pretty and more than helpful. She took over immediately, waving away your explanation of having to report to Eddie, leading you into a back office that was crammed with a desk and a line of lockers. It took a while for her to find a key to one in a security box but eventually you had a locker, a name badge and a uniform that Robin promised was the cleanest one she could find.Â
It was a powder blue thing with red trim, a little on the short side for a dress and it had you pulling at the hem until it covered your thighs more. The collar was white, starchy, the apron that tied around your waist matching. Robin grinned when you reappeared with it on, straightening your name badge for you before handing you a new pad and pen.Â
âCâmon,â she tilted her head towards the kitchen, the smell of coffee and maple already pouring out of it. âIâll introduce you to everyone else.â
There was Nancy, another waitress who helped Jim manage the dinerâs taxes when she wasnât back at college in Indianapolis. She seemed sweet, a little quieter than Robin, more eager to keep her head down and garner the best tips.Â
Argyle was the boy youâd seen in the kitchen the day before, a smiling boy with the sleekest hair youâd ever seen. He offered a fist bump and a warm greeting, telling you to let him know of any medicinal preferences that he could help you out with. He was on prep duty in the kitchen and Robin claimed he could chop a full onion in ten seconds when he wasnât busy eating the product.
Then there was Jonathan. A quiet guy who mostly worked the coffee bar and helped on dish duty when the kitchen was busy. He made a mean latte, you were told, and if he liked you, heâd use his special coffee beans that he kept hidden in the back.Â
Steve was front of house, mostly waiting tables, sometimes sitting at the rarely used host desk. Handsome and polite, he waved at you from atop a kitchen counter, already chewing on a slice of toast that he ended up sharing with Robin.Â
Going by the staff schedule that was pinned to a board in the office, there seemed to be more employees youâd yet to meet. A Chrissy Cunningham, Jason Carver and someone called William although it was scored out and had Billy written next to it. There was Dustin too, pencilled in at the bottom as a weekend busboy.Â
All in all, the staff at Jimâs diner were pretty cool. There was a man you hadnât met yet, someone called Murray that was supposed to be the kitchen manager but apparently, he preferred a more work from home type of schedule. Then there was Eddie Munson.Â
Line cook, although in a diner this size, he was pretty much the only cook. Territorial over his kitchen, youâd been warned that the boy tended to keep to himself, liked to communicate in grunts and grumbles, and was usually perpetually moody. He had a lot of opinions over music, over food, over the right spice to use in apple pies. And he didnât tend to take to new people, much to your dismay. The morning you arrived ready to work, Eddie greeted you with a grunt from behind a coffee cup, dumping your uniform into your arms with a name badge that had âChicagoâ written in permanent marker, a sure sign that Jim had forgotten your name.Â
So the first week went without much talking to Eddie, you keeping to your space between the tables and him keeping to the kitchen. Music blasted through most of the shift, with the boy working with his head down, curls escaping his bun, his apron tied right around his waist. Every now and then, when you came to the hatch to collect plates and orders, youâd hear him hum along to the radio, an upbeat tune that never matched the frown on his face. And if he happened to catch you staring, well, the lines between his brows only deepened.Â
And despite the sour faced regulars who only grunted and held their cups out when you offered more coffee, working at the diner wasnât the worst job youâd had. Tips were okay, Jonathan made you a latte every morning you shared a shift and the sizzle of the stoves became a comforting background noise as you pottered around the tables, smiling shyly and taking orders with the utmost concentration. Â
It was fine, good even. Up until your first run in with Mr Creel.Â
The older man frequented the diner regularly, coming in early mornings and late nights, leaving whatever job he did to spend hours at a time at the end of the diner bar. He sat under the television screen, a dead eye stare on whatever it was showing, only holding his mug out for coffee refills.Â
He was particular about being left alone and even more particular about his coffee being black. So when you accidentally topped the caffeine up with creamer, you finally heard the old manâs voice. He yelled something awful, his voice croaky from hardly being used, a raspy, horrible thing as he uttered ugly words.Â
âStupid girl,â he hissed, knocking over the cup of coffee until the insides ran along the bar and dripped onto your white sneakers. âAre you dumb? Huh?â The man glared at you as you tried to form words, mouth tripping over an apology you werenât sure he deserved anymore. âHow difficult can this job be?â
Steve came to your aid, brow furrowed and tongue bitten as he held back the things he wanted to say to the customer. But he saw the tears in your eyes, your gaze a little unfocused and glassy, his hand on your elbow as he coaxed you into leaving the situation.Â
âI got this,â he muttered, a rag in hand, ready to mop up Mr. Creelâs mess as he pointedly ignored the old manâs whispered insults. âTake a breather, itâs fine. Donât worry.â
You didnât hesitate, scampering away with coffee sodden sneakers squeaking on the linoleum. Youâd have to thank Steve later, the tears were close to falling and you were adamant they wouldnât escape while you were still on the diner floor. So you barrelled into the kitchen without much thought, not bothering to yell âdoorsâ or âcorner,â just desperate to get out of sight. It was a slow morning, a few pancakes on the griddle, some leftover waffle batter in a bowl by the stove, another one full of eggs beside it. Apart from the sounds of food cooking, sizzles, pops, the sound of the radio, it was quiet.Â
Pushing your back to the tiled wall, you werenât able to do much to escape the heat that always filled the kitchen. The back of your uniform scratched at your neck, an itchy warmth that stuck to your skin and made the tears come a little easier as Mr. Creelâs words echoed in your head. You knew it wasnât worth overthinking - everyone had warned you that the man was a perpetual thunder cloud, always gloomy, always looking for an excuse to yell. But still, you blinked one too many times and your glassy eyes spilled over, lashes sticking together with tears as you stuttered over a heaving breath. Your face scrunched, falling with too much emotion and you made a noise akin to a whimper, a wet sounding thing that you could keep in.Â
You didnât hear someone come back in from the fire exit, the brief smell of cigarette smoke mingling with the heat and the fiery barbecue scent of lunch hours brisket cooking. Eddie scowled at the sight of you by his station, back to the wall, hip pressed to the stainless steel table. Your head was bowed, the heels of your palms pressed to your eyes and when he turned down the radio - just slightly - he could hear you sniff.Â
The boy frowned, somewhat uncomfortable, that crinkle that was always between his brows deepening. He used his wrist to sweep the hair out of his eyes and he gestured to the walk-in behind you, even though you couldnât see. "Uh, normally we cry in the freezer."
You looked up, mortified. Your cheeks were red hot, a burn from the embarrassment of being caught and the frustration from the customer who was surely still at the bar, uncaring of the state heâd put you in.Â
You sniffed, swiping hastily at your cheeks. "What?"
The boy sighed, an impatient noise that Robin had already told you not to take offence to. He nodded at the freezer again, lowering the heat on whatever it was he was cooking in a comically large pot. "In there. That's where we have our breakdowns."
You stood, aimless, wondering what you were supposed to do with that information. The freezer? Wouldn't Hopper be looking for you?
The boy scrunched his face in annoyance and you thought he was going to return to his recipe, but he turned off the burner and rounded the station. He tilted his chin at you, signalling you to follow. "C'mon, come wi' me," he murmured.Â
It was the most heâd said to you since the day youâd turned up with your resumes and some hope in your chest. You blinked, watching Eddie stomp down the aisle between the stations, big combat boots a strange congrats to his chef whites. You ran a little to catch up, hip catching the corner of a cart filled with fresh fruit and a bowl of proofed dough, trying not to stumble into the back of the boy. You almost did when he stopped dead and pulled at the door of the giant walk-in, a wall of cold air hitting your both square in the face.Â
Stacks of frozen food sat on metal shelves, lines of cut meats, boxes of iced over vegetables, already cut and prepped. Eddie waved a hand inside, gesturing for you to enter. Your breath turned visible as the temperature dropped by twenty degrees, ice cold and raising goosebumps on your arms. You half expected Eddie to shut the door and leave you alone, but you were surprised when he walked in after you, the soft thump of the door closing after him.Â
Silence enveloped you both, the noise of the kitchen, the broken AC, the diner all disappearing. You breathed out a sigh of relief, breath crystallising between you and the boy who was eyeing you warily, wondering if you were going to keep crying. He didnât say anything, he just leaned against a shelf and tugged a rag from his back pocket, wiping off his hands.Â
It was easier to breathe without the heat of the diner, the constant steam from the kitchen, the way the sun hit the windows and made the whole place too hot. The boy watched you, still cautious, waiting for your chest to stop heaving and you to stop sniffling. When you did, he peered at you through his bangs.Â
âBetter?â
Still embarrassed, you swiped hastily at your cheeks and tried to pretend you werenât crying, wiping the evidence of the apron that held your pad and pen- and now splashes from Mr. Creelâs coffee tantrum. âYeah, mâfine. Thanks.â
The boy nodded, lips pressed together as if he didnât know what else to say. Neither did you, still hot cheeked and mortified, staring wide eyed at the freezer door and for a brief second, you wondered if the rest of the diner would hear you from behind the thick freezer door if you just so happened to let out a yell. Maybe thatâs why Eddie said this was the breakdown space. You guessed youâd find out sooner than you thought.Â
And just as you were getting ready to push the door back open, Eddie peered up at you from where he was busy inspecting a silver scar on his wrist. âCreelâs a real asshole, donât let him get to you.â
Surprised, you stopped in your tracks and turned. The leftover tears on your cheeks werenât quite ice, but they left cold trails across your face that felt too obvious. You pushed against the apple of your cheek once more, fingers digging in a little too meanly as you tried to get rid of the evidence that Eddie already saw. âI know,â you nodded. You sniffed again. âJustâ took me by surprise, thatâs all.â
Eddie nodded slowly, like he was thinking over your words. âYou gotta toughen up, kid.â He swept by you, lemongrass and some cologne that was hidden behind the smell of basil and spice. His shoulder knocked yours. âTold you you wouldnât last in the kitchen.â
âââââ
Some would call it stubbornness, others would call it spiteful, but you were more determined than ever to fit in and work hard at the diner. Eddieâs comment made a lasting effect on you and you tried every day to smile through the shit and be a little bolder, leaving the shyness behind with Chicago and every other failed opportunity. Plus, the tips came a little easier if you flashed a smile and some flirt.Â
You cleaned up the smashed burgers and soggy fries that were smeared into the floor after a family of tourists swept through the restaurant, you wiped down tables, refilled the salt shakers and when you collected orders from Eddie at the kitchen hatch, you made sure to use the towel to pick up the hot plates. The last time youâd suffered a burn, Eddie had rolled his eyes and scoffed. But when you came back for the next order a few minutes later, an ice pack was sitting waiting.Â
âYou okay?â Robinâs side nudged up against yours in greeting at the cutlery station, familiar and friendly.Â
You smiled, nodding, wrapping napkins around knives and forks. Robin picked up a bundle to help and you could tell by her unsettled fidgeting, she wanted to ask something. âAre you okay?âÂ
The girl made a face and squinted at you, all nervous charm and nervousness. âYeah, yeahâ Iâm good. So good. Itâs just, uhââ
You blinked, waiting, both of you moving out of the way when Jonathan appeared with a set of headphones over his ears, grinning at you both as he dumped more clean cutlery into the drawers.Â
ââyou know how it was both of us on the late tonight?â Robin continued once Jonathan disappeared. You nodded, still sorting out the utensils, frowning when the freshly cleaned sets burned your fingertips. âWell, I kinda got asked on a date tonight and oh my god, okay, like, I know youâre new but Iâve been waiting on this girl literally forever andââ
It was easy to smile at Robinâs enthusiastic rambling, your shoulders losing the tension they usually held as you listened to her talk. âWho is it?â You asked curiously.Â
âItâs like, holy shit? Sheâs interested in me? I meanâ oh.â Robin cut herself off after she realised youâd spoken. Her cheeks burned, pink covering her freckles and she covered her face with her hands, embarrassed at her own excitement. âNancy.â
You beamed and nodded, already knowing about the flirting that went on during their shared shifts, the way Robin looked at the other girl, the way Steve rolled his eyes fondly behind his friend's back. Â
âThatâs sweet,â you told the girl, happy for her. âYou guys goinâ somewhere nice?â
âUh, yeah,â Robin smiled, bashful, before she flicked her gaze to you again, nerves kicking back in. âThatâs actually what I wanted to ask. Would you mind if I left early?â The girl gestured to the quiet diner, a little more peaceful now the dinner rush was over. âI know I was supposed to stay until close with you, but this show starts at like, nine? So I was just wondering if itâd be okay with you if Iââ
You cut the girl off with a hand to her forearm, stopping her nervous gesturing. You smiled again. âHey, itâs totally okay. I can handle it.â
She grinned, face lighting up with genuine happiness as she squealed and grabbed your arms, pulling you into a crushing hug despite the bundles of cutlery you held to your chest. But her excitement was contagious and you grinned too, happy to have made Robin happy, happier to feel like you had a real friend.Â
âI owe you!â She gasped, âthank you so much! Youâre on with Eddie âtil close, and maybe Jonathan? Itâll be fine! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!â She gushed as she pulled off her apron and rushed to the office.Â
The rest of the time went quietly, as did most of the graveyard shifts. Families and couples left after eight and as the evening headed towards night, the clock approaching twelve, the diner was empty apart from one lone trucker in the corner nursing an extra black coffee and a cinnamon roll. So you headed into the kitchen with the last of the plates, proud of the way you balanced all five of them over your forearms, only wobbling a little. You even remembered to call out as you pushed the door open, even though there wasnât much happening.Â
The hustle and bustle had slowed to a lazy stroll, the radio still on but much quieter, another sixties song crooning from the speakers. Eddie was washing down his station, knives sharpened and put away, the stovetop grills seeping in the sink full of bubbles.Â
âFloors have just been mopped,â he told you without looking up. âCareful.â
You nodded, always startled when he spoke, his voice much softer than he looked. It was honeyed whisky, syrupy smooth. You managed to slide the dishes into an empty sink without much fanfare - nothing spilled, nothing smashed - and you were planning on refilling the ketchup dispenser when your stomach growled, unreasonably loud.Â
You clamped a hand over it, an awful flush crawling up the back of your neck that you knew too well. Embarrassed, you tried to laugh it off, avoiding Eddieâs gaze when his head shot up. Wide eyed, he appraised you, watching as you gave him a wide berth as you shot for the door. Before you could make a break for it, the cook dropped his cleaning rag and sighed.Â
âHave you ate?â
You stopped, almost tipping over your own feet as you spun back round to face him. You wondered if you misheard him, if he was maybe talking to someone else in the kitchen you hadnât noticed but Jonathan was whistling outside of the kitchen hatch, cleaning down the coffee machine and no one else was on shift.Â
Still, you asked, âwhat?â
Eddie frowned, like he was upset about repeating himself. But he was already pulling a chopping board out from the racks underneath the workbench. âI said, have you ate? You sound like a dying whale.â
If you werenât so mortified, you think you wouldâve been offended. You hadnât eaten though, not since youâd managed to shovel a bag of chips into your mouth between a bus load of tourists stopping off for a milkshake and Jimâs famous wings. But you werenât sure why Eddie wanted to know so you shrugged, hoping your embarrassment wasnât showing on your face. Â
The boy just sighed, like he always did, and gestured to a stool that sat across from his station. âSit,â he ordered gruffly before pulling out half of a baked loaf from earlier. âYou like mustard?â
âWhatâre you doing?â You hadnât moved, standing shell shocked by the door, your stomach still yelling at you.Â
Eddie turned to you with that same frown, forever looking annoyed at your presence. Now he was brandishing a butter knife, more curls than ever escaping his bun. He really should wear a hairnet.Â
âWhatâs it look like?â He grunted. He pointed at the stool once more. âCâmon. Mustard?â
You walked over slowly, like you were approaching something wild and unpredictable. Maybe you were. The stool squeaked as it scraped across the tiles, and you eyed the boy warily as you pushed yourself onto the chair across from him. âSure,â you mumbled, watching as he slathered slices of sourdough with mustard and a little mayonnaise.Â
âYou should eat properly.â Eddie scowled. âYou donât eat nothinâ, gonna make yourself pass out in this heat.â
You seemed to forget your shyness as you frowned right back. âHow would you know?â You demanded.Â
Eddie scoffed and suddenly you forgot altogether that you and this boy didnât really talk. He was rolling his eyes at you as he layered on some cheddar cheese and salami, not asking you before he added some prosciutto and lettuce. âBecause you scramble in and out of here all day chasinâ your own tail. I watched you inhale that bag of chips earlier like a goddamn raccoon.â
You squirmed not loving the comparison but knowing that he probably wasnât far off in terms of likeness. But still, your frown matched his. âI donât scramble,â you murmured.Â
Eddie scoffed, a breathy, disbelieving thing that made him raise his eyebrows. He was moving around his station with a grace you couldnât fathom, speedy and gentle with each movement. He drizzled a little honey over the second slice of bread before stacking it on top, an impressive display of flavour in each layer before he sliced it down the middle.Â
âOh, yes you do,â Eddie shot back. âLike a squirrel.â He placed the sandwich on a plate Jonathan had already cleaned and pushed it towards you before deciding to add another little pot of honey beside it.Â
âI thought I was a raccoon?â You asked him before you could help yourself. âThank you,â you added quickly, looking down at the plate. Your stomach grumbled again, your mouth watered.Â
Eddie shrugged, wiping his hands on the front of his apron. âEither rodent will do,â he told you. âAnd youâre welcome. Now eat.â
You didnât argue anymore, tucking into your snack with a shy sort of wariness. Youâd hardly spoken to the boy before now and yet here he was, preparing you food. Just a sandwich, but it took more effort than any snack youâd ever made yourself. You took a bite, eyes closing at the flavour and you hummed in appreciation. When you opened them again, Eddie was at the sink, his back to you but you could see from the tilt of his head that showed off how he watched you from the side of his eyes.Â
âOh my godââ you cut yourself off, humming again, a delighted little noise that you couldnât help let out. âThis is amazing.â
You ate until Eddie was done cleaning, using your crusts to dip into the honey, mopping up everything off your plate until it was empty, your legs swinging happily from the stool. If you were alone, you wouldâve danced. You were sure you saw him fight a smile as he returned to the bench, brows raised at your full cheeks, your happy eyes, the crumbs on his once clean station.Â
âSquirrel to chipmunk,â he noted, gaze trailing over your face. You swallowed quickly, cheeks heating up once again and you dropped your eye line to the table as you wiped your hands on your apron. âGood?â He asked.Â
âDelicious,â you told him with a nod. âThank you. Again. You didnât have to do that.â
Eddie swung a dish towel over his shoulder and ducked his head, curls falling loose around his face and you watched as he slid his clean equipment back into their rightful place. âWas just a sandwich, no big deal.â
It was just a sandwich. But youâd soon come to realise it was something so much bigger than youâd ever have thought.Â

Steve Harrington x fem!Reader
Rated MA for the most long-winded poetic smut i've ever written jfc đ¤Śââď¸ slow burn fluff with a couple sprinkles of angst for flavor, reader uses fem pronouns and is described as having female parts, it's dirty y'all but at least they use protection
7,470 Words
A/N: you all know my mo by now i disappear for a year and then come back and lay down some god damned PORN. this fic is no exception to the rule. @shakespeareanwannabe requested this back in july and she literally just asked for a cute moment between steve and dustin, sorry you got 6k words more than you bargained for đ but also thank you for betaing and the constant validation you're the best ily đ¤
Steveâs not sure how it even worked.
He can still remember the look on Robinâs face when you agreed, how she was speechless for almost ten minutes because she couldnât process what had just happened.
Steveâs reaction was about the same as hers, in all honesty. Heâs gotten so used to striking out that asking people out has become something of a game to him. He knows heâll get a no, and he knows Robin will laugh her ass off at him. But what can he say? He likes putting a smile on his best friendâs face.
Needless to say, youâve shaken him. In the best possible way. Because your answer was three letters instead of two.
And now, he's a little bit in over his head.
Or, to be more accurate, a lot in over his head.
It seems like itâs been ages since heâs gone on a date, even though itâs only been a few months at most. He feels lost, like heâs completely unlearned everything he ever knew about girls.
He hates it, despises it with every fiber of his own being, but he also knows itâs true; he needs advice. And although heâll never admit it to the little shitheadâs face, thereâs no one better he can think of going to than his very own protege. Who better to remind him of his own prowess than the person who learned everything they know from him?
One look at Dustinâs smug little face and Steve almost regrets it. Almost.
âJust canât stay away, can you?â
âYeah, yeah.â Steve rolls his eyes and gives the younger boy a little shove, camouflaging it with an affectionate pat on the back. âThis is strictly business, Henderson.â
âOh, is it now?â The younger boyâs voice takes on a smug tone as he folds his fingers together and leans back in his chair. âWell then, why donât you have a seat? Step into my office.â
Steve rolls his eyes and slides into the booth, shooting a smile and a âthank youâ to the kind waitress who delivers two milkshakes to their table.
Dustin takes his time and makes a meal of unwrapping his straw, feeding off of Steveâs clear impatience Steveâs fingers tap against the table, reminding himself that patience is necessary when you come to someone for a favor. Itâs just that itâs Dustin, and Dustin knows exactly how to get under the older boyâs skin in the most annoying-yet-oddly-endearing fashion.
âSoâŚâ Dustin finally says after a lengthy sip of strawberry milkshake. âWhat brings you so humbly to me?â
âIâve got a date.â
And Dustin, the little bastardâhe laughs. A deep, rumbling belly laugh, so pure and unfiltered that the three other occupied tables in the diner pause their conversations to get a look at the boy clutching his sides.
Steveâs a little embarrassed by the attention, but even more embarrassed that Dustinâs reaction is so genuine. The fact that the idea of him having a date is so laughable is a bit of a punch to the gut. It hasnât really been that long, has it?
When Dustinâs laughter finally dies down he realizes Steveâs face is completely serious, and it makes him giggle even more.
âWait, youâre actually serious? Who on earth did you manage to pull?â
Steveâs nearly bashful as he says your name, and even more bashful when Dustinâs jaw visibly drops.
âNo fucking way. Iâd believe anyone else, but her? Sheâs like⌠hotter than Phoebe Cates. Thereâs no way you wouldnât strike out with her.â
Steveâs immediately on the defensive. Is it really so hard to believe that he, former king of Hawkins High, could pull the most gorgeous girl in town?
But thatâs just it. Thereâs really no one like you, not in his eyes. Heâs admired you since freshman year and never once even tried with you because he knew he wasnât worthy. You were always in the backgroundâa beautiful, kind, smart, funny girl just out of his reach. Part of the reason he even asked you out was because he was so sure he would strike out. In the end, losing his confidence was exactly what he needed to pull the girl of his dreams.
And thatâs why thereâs so much riding on this. Youâve always been his biggest âwhat ifâ, the girl he wonders about when thinking that maybe not trying has been holding him back. And apparently, it has.
âLook, I donât even know how it happened, okay? But she said yes, and⌠and I really donât want to blow it.â
âWell duh. Youâll have to leave town if you blow it with her, you know that, right? If she doesnât think youâre worth it, no one else in this town ever will again.â
âThatâs exactly what Iâm afraid of!â Steve groans, slouching down so far in the booth that Dustin can just barely see his poor, overwhelmed face.
âSteve, listenâŚâ Dustinâs voice takes on an almost fatherly quality, an omniscient tone that gives off the illusion of great hidden knowledge. He gets like this sometimes, and Steveâs not always sure that it is just an illusion. âDonât let this go to your head, but youâre, like, one of the coolest guys I know. If she doesnât like you⌠thatâs her problem, not yours. Okay?â
Steve straightens in his seat, a little shocked to hear such kind words from a friend that heâs used to being mercilessly teased by.
âNo, no, no, itâs going to your head. I take it all back. Forget I said anything.â Dustinâs hearty giggle makes Steve smile as he sets a wad of bills on the table and slides out of the booth.
âYouâre not so bad Henderson, you know that?â He gives the younger boyâs full head of curls an affectionate ruffle. âThanks, kid. Iâll radio later.â
Not that Steve didnât have total faith in his young protege, but itâs still a relief that the pep talk turned out to be exactly what he needed to hear. Dustinâs right, after all. Steveâs worked hard to become the man heâs always wanted to be. He may not be dripping charisma or sex appeal the way he used to, but heâs much more comfortable in his own skin. Thatâs what counts, right?
And you really are his dream girl. The opportunity to take you out tonight, even if it ends up being your first and only date together, is an honor. Heâs much less focused now on all the ways he could screw up, hyper-fixated on putting the effort in to make this the best night of your life.
That effort comes out in the carefully selected suit jacket he dons over his white button-up, the extra spritz of cologne, the careful touch-up shave to vanquish his five oâclock shadow, the extra ten minutes using the perfect amount of product in his hair so that it stays in place yet is still soft to the touch.
By the time he gets to Enzoâs (half an hour early, mind), heâs practically vibrating with nerves and anticipation. Heâs never been much of an overthinker, but he sure is tonight. Is this place too much for the first date? Would you rather do something lowkey, like catch a movie or go for a walk in the park? He has to remind himself a couple of times that you agreed to this, that you wouldnât have said yes if you werenât interested in the arrangement.
To say heâs prepared for this is putting it lightly. Heâs run through every possible scenario in his mind, gone over conversation starters and questions he wants to ask you over and over again until he knows exactly how he wants to phrase each thing.
And still, nothing could prepare him for when you walk through the door.
He has to physically restrain his jaw from dropping because in the moment he sees you, every well-planned thought and all etiquette is flushed down the proverbial pipes. Youâre nothing short of breathtaking in a dress that hugs all the right curves and shows just enough cleavage to have him imagining what else there might be to see. Your hair is pinned back out of your face, eyes framed by just the slightest bit of makeup to make the color of your irises pop. He swears heâs never seen a shade quite like them. Itâs like you move in slow motion as you approach himâhe sees the entrance of the smoking hot love interest in every romantic comedy, complete with smoke and fireworks, as you move towards the table.
And then some sense of decorum returns to his addled brain, and he quickly shoots up so he can pull out your chair for you like a proper gentleman. He catches just the slightest whiff of your perfume, and heâs a goner. Heâs ready to sign his life away to you, to yank his own heart out of his chest to offer to your careful hands.
He has to give his head a shake to compose himself before he goes any further off the deep end. No oneâs ever thoroughly shaken him the way you have, and itâs been a matter of thirty seconds. Itâs almost intimidating, the effect you have on him.
âYou look⌠incredible,â he fumbles as he takes his seat across from you. âI mean, you always do, but⌠wow.â
The shy giggle you emit tugs at a heartstring he didnât even know he had.
âThank you,â you tell him with a genuine smile. âYou clean up very well yourself.â
âI do like to put in some effort every once in a while.â He flashes the most charming smile he can muster, and just like that heâs back. His resolve to impress you is reinforced tenfold. Youâve shaken him, and itâs such an unfamiliar feeling that heâs practically bumbling. He wants to shake you just as badly.
The foodâs delicious, and the conversationâs even better. He has a track record for taking out a moreâfor lack of a better termâbimbo-y type, and thatâs definitely not you. Youâre smart, youâre witty, but you donât make him feel like an idiot. Heâs so taken with you that he doesnât even notice that three hours have passed until he looks around the room and notices that every table is now empty and bussed.
The waiter delivers the check, and Steve notices you gnawing on your lip.
âWhatâs on your mind?â He asks, trying not to be too prying.
âI donât want this to be over yet.â
Steve smiles. Heâs got you; hook, line, and sinker. Heâs never been so sure of anything, and that surprises him. Heâs used to dates who are easy to read and even easier to take home, and those arenât the impressions youâve been giving him. To know that youâre feeling exactly what heâs feeling is a huge confidence boost.
âI donât either.â
Your hand is so small compared to his. Thatâs all he can think about as he strolls next to you, his fingers intertwined with yours. Heâs always considered hand-holding to be childâs play, itâs never excited him before the way it does in this moment with you.
Itâs pitch black in the park and he can hear the overlapping chirping of summer cicadas and grasshoppers, the perfect background noise now that the conversation has died down. Itâs less about getting to know each other at this point and more just basking in each otherâs presence, prolonging the inevitable because neither one of you can bear to call it a night when itâs been such a good few hours.
Youâre shocked, to say the very least. Steve certainly has a reputation, and itâs not for being a romantic. Yet everything tonight has flown in the face of all the rumors youâve been hearing since junior high. You figured heâd be a fun fling, and probably only one night at thatâyouâd made your peace with the idea. To find that heâs kind, considerate, funny, and can match your intellect and quick wit⌠itâs a very pleasant surprise. And thatâs what has you out well past a decent hour, giddy over simply holding his hand like youâre a damned school girl all over again.
âI should probably let you go home,â Steve sighs wistfully. He hates to be the one to bring it up, but youâre on your fifth lap around the park and about to circle back to where your car is parked so now seems the best time.
Youâre chewing your lip again, a thoughtful habit that makes his heart pound just a little bit harder.
Hereâs the thing: youâre really not the bold type. You act confident, sure, but in practice itâs a lot more difficult for you. So no oneâs more surprised than you are when you say, âYou could come home with me. If you want.â
Steveâs definitely shocked, too. Less shocked at your proposition and more at the fact that heâs tempted to decline. Because no matter how much heâs been running through the back of his mind what you might look like under that gorgeous dress, he doesnât want this to end there. For the first time in his life, he wants to find more meaning than sex out of a relationship. He doesnât want to take you home and never see you again. He wants to take you out again, and again, and again, and again after that. He sees a future, for once, that doesnât look dim and hopeless. That fact alone scares the shit out of him.
He realizes heâs waited way too long to reply and fumbles for an answer. âOf course I want to. Iâd be an idiot not to. ButâŚâ
You chew that cursed bottom lip of yours again, and Steve has to focus on the obvious cue youâre giving him rather than the fact that he wants to be the next set of teeth around that lip.
He stops in his tracks, gently pulling on your hand to face him so he can take your other hand in his free one. âItâs not a bad but. I mean, Iâm going to go home kicking myself for saying no because I really honestly do want to⌠well, yâknow. But⌠I want to do this right with you. I want to take you out again. I want to get to know you and see where this goes. I canât⌠I donât want this to end tonight.â
Heâs eternally grateful for how dark it is as he feels a flush consume his face. He canât remember a time heâs been so honest and open, especially on a first date; but the look on your face tells him heâs done something right.
âOkay,â you tell him, squeezing his hands in yours. âYou⌠honestly have no clue how nice it is to hear that.â
âOf course,â he continues, âif you just want me for my body, no hard feelings.â
You laugh at that, genuinely laugh, and Steve thinks itâs the best sound heâs ever heard.
âNo,â you reassure him. âNo, I⌠I wanna see where this goes, too.â
Youâre stopped only a few paces from your car, and Steve knows with a twist of his gut that this is the end of the night. It makes his gut turn with disappointment, but also with anticipation of when heâll see you next. Already, his mind is flooding with ideas of where he can take you and what youâll do together.
You drop one of his hands so you can walk but keep a tight grip on the other until you get to your driverâs side door, hesitating outside because youâre still not ready for this to be over. It takes every ounce of restraint he has not to kiss you, unsure of if that would be moving too fast.
Thankfully, you make the call yourself. Leaning up on your toes, hands against his chest for balance, you press your lips against his and he has to summon every mite of strength not to moan. No oneâs ever tasted so sweet, molded against him so perfectly. His hands drift from your shoulders down your arms, coming to rest on your waist as he pulls you just a little bit closer. Itâs a fight of will not to overstep, to break off the kiss before it can become too heated. His mind is spinning by the time you break away. Heâs aching for more, and he hopes you are too.Â
âGoodnight, sweetheart.â
âGoodnight, Steve.â
Your sweet voice replays in his mind all night, long after youâve gotten into your car and driven away, long after heâs returned to his own vehicle and pulled the radio out from under the driverâs seat to check in with Dustin, long after he arrives home and soaks in a cold shower for longer than he probably should. He doesnât think heâll ever get your voice out of his head, and he couldnât be any less upset about it.
He practically counts down the minutes until he sees you again. This time, he has a little less restraint. He greets you with a kissâa sweet peck and a hand on your waist that leaves you aching for even more.
Itâs a movie this time, a chance to enjoy each otherâs company on a night youâre both too tired from working to engage in heavy conversation and getting to know each other further.
It starts with sharing popcorn, then holding hands, then somewhere along the way the film is completely forgotten in favor of your lips meeting his. His breath grows heavy as his hands hold your face, committing you to memory while resisting the urge to explore further. Your hands, meanwhile, are firmly on his thighs, gripping tightly to keep yourself steady as you do everything you can to keep yourself from crawling into his lap.
He whispers your name, and your grip on him tightens.
âW-we shouldnâtâŚâ he murmurs, then gives up on the futile attempt at finishing his sentence so that he can pull you even deeper into the kiss as his tongue sweeps across your bottom lip.
It takes everything in him not to moan when your lips eagerly part to accept him.
Needless to say, once the credits start rolling youâre both more than a little hot under the collar.
âLet me buy you dinner,â Steve suggests as he woefully unwinds himself from you. Declining doesnât even flicker through your mind as a possibility.
Itâs not Enzoâs this time, but it doesnât have to be. He could set a soggy peanut butter and jelly sandwich in front of you at this point and youâd still thank him for it. This time around, youâre not really as interested in the cuisine as you are just simply getting through this meal to whatâs next. Because whatâs next is all youâve been thinking about since you walked through the doors the night of that very first date and saw Steve Harrington wearing a blazer for you. Itâs a level of effort heâs definitely not known forâin fact, heâs built a reputation for putting in so little effort that it nearly made your jaw drop to see him trying. And it certainly made your heart skip a beat.
But then again, the Steve before you carelessly wolfing down his bacon cheeseburger seems very different from the Steve you knew in high school, even if you didnât know that iteration as intimately as this one. That one was cool, collected, snarky and pompous and maddeningly desirable.
This Steve, your Steve, is nearly an exact foil. Much less cocky, a little less confident but more self-assured in the ways that actually hold meaning, less worried about what the people around him are observing of him than what youâre observing of him. He seems happier, more carefree, more eager to please others than simply himself. Heâs grown so much in such a short amount of time, and you feel proud just for having the honor to witness it. Significantly more proud to be on the receiving end of his affections now that they hold the kind of value youâve always wished they would.
He looks up and notices you staring at him while lost in thought, a small smile spreading across his lips as your eyes quickly dart away.
âWhatâs on your mind?â He questions as he licks a stray bit of ketchup from his thumb.
âJust⌠happy Iâm here. With you.â It brings heat to your cheeks to admit it, but you donât want him to go unappreciated in this moment.
Itâs the right thing to say, because his smile grows even wider. âIâm happy too,â he admits. âI⌠Iâve wanted to ask you out for a while. Could never work up the courage, I guess.â
âSteve âthe hairâ Harrington was intimidated by me?â You say it with a mock gasp, but your shock is more genuine than you give off. Never in a million years would you have thought that he, the man who could have whoever he wanted, would be worried over you saying no to him. Itâs almost comical, especially considering the way you practically threw yourself at him on your first date. Of course then, you had no clue how much heâd developed as a person. Youâre almost ashamed of your behavior now, as if you mightâve inadvertently been taking advantage of the new and improved Steve who isnât just into you for a hookup.
He shrugs, nearly bashful at your teasing. âNever figured I was good enough for you. So I didnât bother to try.â
Youâre genuinely curious now, leaning in a little closer and brushing your fingers against his hand resting atop the diner counter. âWhat made you change your mind?â
âHonestly? I was so sure youâd say no that I asked just to give Robin a chuckle. She loves watching me get shot down.â
That makes you frown, and heâs quick to backtrack. âI wanted to! I just⌠Iâve had a bad track record lately. And youâre⌠youâre you. Youâre the last person I should be worthy of.â
His eyes are quick to avert from your gaze, bottom lip tugged between his teeth as he contemplates whether heâs said too much.
âSteveâŚâ you properly grab his hand now in the hopes that itâll bring his eyes back to you, and it works. âYouâre the only person Iâve deemed worthy in a long time, honestly.â
Steve Harrington is scaldingly warm. Itâs one of many sensations forcing your mind into overdrive as he lays you delicately across the backseat of his beemer, one hand cushioning the back of your head while simultaneously deepening the already heated kiss and the other balancing his weight to lean over you in the cramped space without completely crushing you.
Your fingers tangle themselves into his soft brown locks, tugging ever-so-slightly as his tongue slips between your parted lips. Heâs an eager explorer and youâre more than happy to let him take the lead, to show you all the skill youâve heard so many whispers about.
You let out an involuntary moan as he wedges himself even closer to you, his body heat soaking through all the layers of clothing between the two of you and warming you all the way to your very bones.
Youâre practically aching, ready to beg, and he knows it the second you wrap your legs around his waist in an attempt to get him even closer. If thereâs one thing Steve Harringtonâs good at, itâs assessing your needs. He pulls away just the slightest bit to adjust his position so he can get closer, wedging a knee between your legs to press right against your core, and it makes you jolt back against the car door at the same time his head hits the roof just a bit too hard.
You both pause for a moment, the reality of your situation hitting you simultaneously, and then youâre laughing. Itâs light and edged with unresolved want, but itâs enough to fracture the tension of the moment.
âIâm sorry,â he whispers. âShouldnât have gotten so carried away. This isnât how I want to do this.â
âNo?â
âNo. You deserve way better than this old beater,â he chuckles, then leans down to kiss you. This kiss is lighter, no longer edged with tension and lust. He kisses you just to kiss youâthereâs no end goal to it this time.
âWhat could be better than a BMW?â You tease lightly, trying to reassure him that youâre less disappointed than you really feel.
âYou know. Something romantic. A proper bed, rose petals, maybe a few candlesâŚâ
âI donât need all that,â you try to tell him.
âI think I do,â he admits. And thatâs enough to pull you back, to remind you that you need to be patient and grateful that he values you so much as to want to do this whole thing properly. That his affection is something to be cherished, not taken for granted.
âIâm sorry,â you whisper. âI didnât mean to be pushy.â
âPlease donât apologize.â He hesitates to untangle himself from you, even though he knows he needs to. âI want this just as bad. I just⌠I need it to be right.â
âAs long as I have you, itâll be right,â you reassure. âI hope you know that.â
He presses his lips to yours again, a slow and passionate kiss that he hopes communicates every bit of adoration he feels for you in this moment.
âItâll be perfect. I swear,â he vows. Youâve never believed anything more whole-heartedly than you do this promise.Â
~~~
âWait, youâre telling me that you literally had her under you and you stopped?â Robinâs halfway through chewing a mouthful of popcorn and the absolute carnage inside her agape mouth makes Steve give her a light shove.
âItâs not polite to talk with your mouth full, yâknow.â
âItâs not polite to blue-ball either!â She shoots back in utter disbelief.
âHow do you think I felt? I was this close,â he holds his thumb and index finger barely millimeters apart, âto sealing the deal.â
She just shakes her head. âYou, Steve Harrington, are a genuine, bonafide idiot.â
Sheâs not telling him anything he doesnât know. Itâs been three days since the aborted fling in the backseat of his car, and heâs barely thought of anything else. Especially since youâve been away from home both of the past nights when heâs called. Heâs starting to worry youâve gotten the wrong impression, that heâs not interested or that heâs toying with you. Itâs the exact opposite. He wants nothing more than to know you in the most intimate way he can know you. But he needs it to be flawless. He needs it to be well thought-out and precisely planned, the most romantic event in the history of copulation. He wonât settle for anything less, not with you. You deserve perfection, and he wonât give you anything less.
âItâs not that I donât want to,â he tries to explain. âI want to more than anything. But if youâre gonna go to town on a goddess, you need to do some worshiping, yâknow? I donât feel like Iâve done enough.â
Your heart pounds in your chest as you hear this admission. You werenât sure what to expectâworried that maybe visiting him at work was an overstepâbut hearing him call you a goddess certainly wasnât on your radar.
âYouâve done more than enough, Steve.â
The sound of your voice makes Steve jump and whirl around, oblivious to Robinâs sly smirk and mumbled excuse of needing to attend to something in the back room.
âH-hey!â He squeaks, then clears his throat in an attempt to get his tone back to its normal octave. âWhat⌠whatâre you doing here?â
âOh, just came to pick up a tape,â you tease. âBut mostly I came to see you.â
âMe?â He takes a moment to ground himself, loosening his too-tight grip on the counter. âI mean⌠I tried to call you last night. And the night before?â
Your brow furrows. âReally? I didnât get your message.â
Because he didnât leave one. He clears his throat and says, âI just figured you were busy.â
âOh, well, I volunteer at the animal shelter on Wednesdays, and last night was my friendâs 21st birthday. Iâm sorry I missed you, though.â
He can tell that youâre really remorseful, and it makes his heart squeeze in his chest a little bit. He plays it off with a dismissive wave of his hand. âNo, itâs fine, itâs⌠are you free tonight?â
You giggle at the abrupt redirect, but heâs played directly into your hand.
âYeah, actually. I was hoping maybe you could help me pick out something for us to watch tonight? If youâre free too, that is.â
His dark eyes blink slowly, wondering if youâre aware of the implication behind your completely innocent words. You. Him. A movie. Alone. Itâs enough to make his head spin.Â
âIâve never been freer.â
Conveniently, youâve come in close enough to the end of his shift that by the time youâre done combing through Family Videoâs vast selection for the perfect film to use as background noise, Steveâs ready to clock out. And since you walked over after finishing your own shift at the local dollar store up the street, it works out perfectly that he can give you a ride straight to his place.
You only glance in the backseat once, but itâs enough to get your mind churning. Remembering the feeling of him, of what couldâve been. Anticipating what will be.
âParents home?â You ask as he pulls into his driveway and parks, trying to sound casual and utterly failing.
âNope,â he answers easily. âTook a detour to Cabo on their way home from Hawaii.â
âSounds glamorous. You opted out?â
âIâd rather be here in Hawkins with you than on a beach alone anyday.â
He must know the effect his words have on you. Surely he can hear the way your heart picks up pace as he looks at you with those dark, affectionate eyes.
âSo⌠this is home.â He waves a hand around the entrance hall like itâs a shabby nightmare, not the grandest house youâve ever been in.
âIâm starting to understand why they used to call you King Steve.â
Heâs almost embarrassed at the mention of that old high school nickname. âTrust me, this isnât why.â
âWell, a palace does befit you,â you tell him with a smirk.
âStop, youâre gonna make me blush.â The wink he shoots you makes your gut erupt with butterflies, a sensation that would normally make you a little uncomfortable. With Steve, youâd take the butterflies all day long.
He gives you a cursory and oversimplified tour of the ground floor before leading you upstairs, and suddenly heâs sheepish. Itâs been a few moons since he shared his room with a girl, so the nerves are justified. But thatâs too simple an explanation. Youâre not a girl. Youâre his dream, his muse, hisâto re-quote himselfâgoddess. No one heâs ever cared about more has stood where youâre standing, and it terrifies him.
He hides it well, though, busying himself with making a comfortable nest for you in his bed before setting up the television set on the dresser against the far wall. If ever there was a time to regain his confidence, itâs now. He curses whatever god there is that he feels like a fumbling virgin in this moment when nothing is even happening, when just the anticipation is enough to make his hands tremble.
Thereâs no more stalling once youâre comfortable and the tape is set to play. His heart pounds to the steady and frantic rhythm of one of those heavy rock songs Dustin listens to now as he sits next to you, hands itching to take a hold of you but also eager not to move too fast.
Almost as if you can sense his hesitation, you reach over and take his hand. âSteve?â
âYeah?â
âKiss me.â
And so he does, and the second his lips slot to yours all the worry and anxiety is gone. Heâs Steve Harrington, and he knows what heâs doing. Youâre you, and heâs wanted this for so long. After years of being lost, he deserves to finally find the love heâs been looking for. Heâs never been so sure of anything as he is, in this moment of initial clarity, that heâs in love with you.
He canât say it, not yet. Heâs sure itâs too soon, and the last thing he wants is to scare you off. But heâs determined to prove it to you, and the only way besides words is action.
He can handle action.
Thereâs no more restraint or hesitation behind his touch. This is it, this is what youâve both been waiting for. Thereâs no way in hell heâs not going to deliver now. Heâs desperate for you, and it shows in the heavy way his hands drag along your curves whilst committing you to memory; the way his tongue languidly swipes across your bottom lip; the way he shifts effortlessly to hover over you even while deepening the kiss.
Heâs overwhelming every single sense of yours in such a sudden fashion, and you wouldnât want it any other way. Especially not when his hips meet yours in a deliciously slow grind and you finally get your first little taste of whatâs to come.
He keens at the little breathless whimpers that leave your mouth, reading every single signal you provide him with and accommodating each. Moaning? He continues what heâs doing, intensifying if deemed necessary. Whining? He adds something, because he knows itâs hard to use your words when youâre wanting so badly. Squirming? He pays attention to the direction of your movement and pulls away or presses closer depending on necessity. Itâs down to science for him; he only really cared about extracurriculars in school anyway, and this was certainly his favorite.
But then he comes to his sensesâwhile he doesnât pull away completely, he needs to clear his mind and he does so by letting up a bit, allowing the kiss to become languid and the heat to extinguish a bit. It only makes you whine more, and Steve curses his damned formula. You shouldnât be part of an equation. Youâre everything heâs ever wanted, and every aspect of your relationship so far has been a new experience for him. He needs this particular activity to be different too. No formulas or calculations. Just you and him and whatever happens naturally.
Clearly you can hear the cogs in his mind turning. You pull away with a concerned look on your face and ask, âwhatâs on your mind?â
Nowâs not the time to hide anything from you, he reasons with himself. He wants to be authentic with you, and part of that means telling the truth, even if itâs not something particularly comfortable.
âIâm⌠falling into a routine. And I donât want to,â he admits. He sighs and leans back, one hand dragging through his shaggy and disheveled hair, sure that heâs going to ruin the mood if he carries on like this. But he refuses to back away from the truth now. âThis⌠itâs always been likeâŚ. Like a series of checkpoints. Boxes to check, yâknow? Kiss you, take your clothes off, make you come, fuck you, say goodnight. And I donât want⌠I canât let it be like that with you. I need this to be⌠real. Not just some list to cross shit off of. I donâtââ
Steve takes a long, shaky breath before he can ramble on anymore. Never has someone so thoroughly gotten under his skin. Heâs never felt so insecure, so unsure. Itâs terrifying. The most terrifying part of it all, though, is that he likes it. He loves the feeling of the unfamiliarity, of doing this right. In a way, itâs almost like heâs doing all of this for the first time all over again. Youâre his first date, first kiss, first time. All because heâs changed so drastically, because heâs not even remotely the same person he was just a year or two ago.
Your hands are so gentle as you cup his face, tenderly forcing his eyes to meet yours.
âSteve⌠we donât have to do this, not if youâre not ready. I want to be with you, not just for this, but for everything. Everything that comes with you⌠thatâs what I want. Thereâs no pressure. I would wait a hundred years for you to be ready so long as I could still have you.â
Steveâs breath shakes a little as he comprehends the gravity of your words. Thereâs nothing he can say that can properly convey the gratitude he holds for your words, so he says nothing at all.
In his silence, you continue. âYouâre more than a body, you know that, right? Youâre funny, and kind, and smart. Yes, smart, donât look at me like that. Youâre everything Iâve ever wanted to be close to. I just⌠I want to spend time with you. I want to watch stupid movies and eat diner food until we get sick and laugh at your stupid jokes⌠and maybe make love with you, sure, but thatâs pretty low on the list as long as I just get to be with you.â
He doesnât notice the tears until itâs too lateâby the time youâre wiping them from the apples of his cheeks itâs far too late to take them back or hide them. With anyone else, he would be angry; at himself, for allowing himself to be so vulnerable. For allowing himself to be so emotional. With you, though⌠with you, his emotions make him feel strong.Â
For the first time since you walked into his life, heâs not scared of losing you.
âI love you,â he tells you. His voice is firm, as fierce as the kiss he presses to your mouth, as powerful as the waves of emotion vibrating through his very soul. âI love you so much.â
He barely gives you a chance to reply, as keen as he is on physically proving his love to you through myriad passionate kisses that leave you breathless. But when you finally get the chance to use your voice after a barrage of kisses that start to trail down your neck, you whisper, âI love you too.â
Four words, and theyâre all he needs to quell every worry or fear heâs had over doing this relationship properly with you. Why should he have to worry, after all, when heâs already succeeded?Â
âI love you,â he whispers as he trails down your neck and to your chest, leaving tender love bites on the tops of your breasts once heâs properly liberated you from your shirt.
âI love you,â he mumbles through sucking a mark a few inches north of your navel.
âI love you,â he murmurs when his lips meet your waistband. His fingers make quick work of your pants as he scatters kisses over your stomach, unable to part his mouth from your skin for even a moment.
âI love you,â he affirms as his mouth meets your hot and waiting core.
Thereâs no more checklist. Because this isnât simply sex, as it always has been for him in the past. This is love-making: the kind of sappy shit they talk about in all those Hallmark movies that he rolls his eyes at the sight of. Itâs like losing his virginity all over again.
He understands the old adage of âthe other halfâ now. Youâve ripped him to shreds and sewed him back together with strands of yourself. The end result is better than the original ever couldâve even dreamed to be. Heâs sure he couldnât possibly live without you now, that losing you would be like ripping out fresh and unhealed stitches.
Youâre not sure how long he camps out between your trembling thighs, but itâs long enough for you to lose count of the number of times he pulls you apartâfirst with his languid tongue; then his long, curved fingers; then a combination of the two. Itâs like he loses himself completely in your pleasure, not a single thought in his head except what he can do to bring you to the edge again, and again, and again.
Youâre trembling with oversensitivity by the time his own needs overtakes his desperation to unravel you. So out of it that you feel drunk, like Steveâs laced you with absolute bliss so pure you can barely stand it.
Youâre hardly present enough to appreciate the adonis before you when he finally undoes his own jeans, and thatâs a damned shame because heâs so damned pretty. Long and thick, flushed at the girthy tip from his hitherto unacknowledged arousal. His lean thighs are pure muscle, and the dark thatch of hair that trails south from his navel makes your mouth water. Heâs everything you dreamed heâd be and so much more.
âSteveâŚâ You donât know what else you can possibly say. All you can do is vainly hope that one whine of his name can convey all of the heat, frustration, tension, and above all longing, swirling through your head in the moment.
He breaks from his lustful reverie for a moment to smile as he leans in for another heated kiss; you think itâs safe to say youâve gotten your point across.
He slows from his mania for a few moments, lips tender as they explore against yours once more. These kisses are languid, slow, yet no less heated. Even now, heâs trying to prove his love to you. As if you could somehow not believe him after everything thatâs happened, every small moment youâve spent with him witnessing how hard heâs trying for you.
Somewhere in between kisses he manages to wrestle a condom out of his nightstand, miraculously without ever breaking from your lips.
Now is where you cut in, finally fading out of your over-pleasured fugue and back to reality. You take the little foil packet from his hands and tear it open, eager for this small chance to finally get a hand or two on him.
He lets out the most gorgeous noise youâve ever heard as you roll the rubber down his length; a deep, earthy, diaphragmatic moan just from the simple touch of your hand. You want to touch him even more, to wrest out more of those sounds from him; to see what other undiscovered responses you can pull from him as you pleasure him. But you know that now, he needs to set the pace. He believes he has something to prove, and youâre more than happy to let him prove it. There will be plenty of other opportunities to have him completely at your mercy, anyway.
Thereâs no way to describe the feeling as he slides into you. Itâs more than bliss, more than euphoria, more than earth-shattering toe-curling mind-altering pleasure. Itâs nothing more than feeling whole. Of never knowing you were missing a part of yourself until itâs suddenly returned to you. Of never knowing what home felt like until this exact moment.
Maybe itâs overdramatic. Maybe itâs outlandish and outrageous and a million other adjectives to feel something so overpowering and overwhelming from such a seemingly simple physical act. But in this moment, you know youâve never felt anything as right as being connected to Steve in this way.
His lips hardly leave yours while he rolls his hips against you, easily finding the perfect angle to make your breath hitch and your hands scrabble for purpose.
It admittedly doesnât last long, but it doesnât have to. Once you start to tighten and pulse around him, heâs a gonerâdeep purposeful thrusts turning to hard, arrhythmic plunges in desperate search of release.
Youâre still shaking from your high when he slowly pulls out of you. He keeps you close, arms linked around your waist and dragging you to lay on his chest as he flops back against the pillows.Â
Youâre not sure how long you lay like that, with Steve whispering sweet nothings into your hair and pressing absentminded kisses to your face. All you can really focus on is one all-consuming, life-changing fact.
âI love you, Steve Harrington.â
âI love you too,â he whispers back. He kisses you again, just a simple peck on your lips, and you know that heâs telling the truth. Itâs an eternal truth: one that canât be changed or altered in any way. Steve Harrington loves you with every fibre of his being, and he will for the rest of his lifeâeven if youâre both blissfully unaware of it for now.
Heat Waves
August Prompt: Heat Waves by Glass Animals (2020) | Word Count: 1500 | Rating: E | CW: Explicit Sexual Content | Tags: There's a Heat Wave in Hawkins, Eddie POV, Post S4, Eddie Munson Lives, Pining, Voyeurism, Masturbation
It's fucking hot.Â
The fan is doing very little to keep up with this unbearable heat wave they're going through this summer. It's hotter than balls, and Eddie is absolutely certain it has something to do with the after effects of Vecna. Like cracking open the earth somehow unleashed the heat straight from hell itself. It's undeniable that this area of Indiana is ten or more degrees hotter this summer than the surrounding areas, and honestly, watching the meteorologists bend over backwards trying to explain the cause of it is often hilarious.
There is no explanation they are ever gonna come up with that makes any sense, but god bless 'em for continuing to try.
Eddie is laying in his bed, listening to music on his headphones, because the neighbors are far too eager to call the cops on him these days. So, Wayne gently suggested the headphones, and for Wayne, Eddie obliged. Tonight, it's just him and Iron Maiden, as he lays in his boxers, hair damp with sweat. Even now, in the middle of the night, the temperature inside the trailer is nothing short of miserable.Â
The scars on his side are tight, and no matter how much lotion he rubs into them, he still worries that they are always gonna be this way. Feel this way. Look this way.
Just. Be this way.
At least no one will see him here in the dark.
Wayne's at work, Henderson's surely at home in bed, and Steve is gone for the night.Â
Steve's here a lot, too much probably for Steve's sanity, but Eddie isn't about to shoo him away. No fucking way. But he doesn't blame him for not wanting to stay all night in a trailer with very little air movement. It's a hot box.Â
The government is supposed to do better, this is allegedly just temporary, but Eddie knows better. They brushed them off into a trailer that's worse than the one that was ripped apart, and this is exactly where they'll stay.
He's sure of it.
Temporary his ass.
But he doesn't expect Steve to suffer through it, too. Not when he has a big empty house, with all that expensive central air.
Steve tried to get him to come back to his house, but Eddie hasn't done that since his parents showed up unannounced on weekend and freaked the fuck out that Eddie Munson, Murderer, was on their couch.
Assholes.
It's a goddamn miracle that Steve isn't one, at least not anymore. Maybe not ever. Eddie isn't sure. Not now. He always thought King Steve was the asshole, but maybe, just maybe, Eddie was the asshole. Maybe they both were, in different ways. Eddie can't decide what's true.
Eddie thinks about Steve all the time. Sometimes he's all Eddie thinks about. He shouldn't. He knows that. They're friends, and that's a miracle in itself. Even if Steve did have an interest in guys, Eddie's sure he's not Steve's type. Especially not now that he's damaged goods.
The fan blows across his body, back and forth, and his one remaining nipple comes to attention with the breeze. Eddie isn't even sure why. It's not cold in here, but he still rubs his thumb across it.
It feels good, and he doesn't take for granted that he can feel anything at all there. Not now.
His dick stirs, and it's too fucking hot for that. Unless he wants to go take a cool shower, and he really doesn't want to move from right where he is. Not tonight.
But his cock hardens, trapped against his thigh, and he slides his hand under the waistband of his boxers, pulling his cock upwards. Wrapping his hand around it loosely. Jacking slowly, eyes closed. He doesn't intend to take this anywhere, not really, but if he can just show it a little half-assed attention, maybe it'll settle down.
Lazy stroke, after lazy pull, and before he knows it, he's edging himself towards a slow, easy orgasm, even if his hand is way too fucking dry, and this wasn't how he intended on this going.
But it feels good, so he keeps it up. Loose grip, slow strokes. He prefers not to rub any additional skin off of his body, thanks. He's lost enough, as is.
He thinks about Steve. How it'd feel if it was his hand instead, breathing out his name, "Steve."
And that's when he hears it, a whine.
Eddie's eyes snap open, and Steve is standing in the shadows of the doorway.
He's a mirage. The heat wave faking him out.
But he's not shimmering. He's not moving an inch. Eddie can barely see him at all, just the familiar outline.
"Steve?" Eddie finally chokes out, voice scared, as he pulls his headphones off his ears and down around his neck.
"Yeah," Steve says, "it's me. Sorry. I was staring."
Eddie laughs. He was staring. Eddie wasn't gonna mention it, but if he wants to bring it up, that's fine.
"Never seen a man jerking it before?" Eddie asks, not pulling his hand out of his boxers. His dick is still hard, and very interested in the man in front of him.
Steve licks his lips, and Eddie's dick jumps against his palm, "Yeah. Sure. Just. Not you."
"Well, I'm only a man," Eddie says, slowly pulling his hand upwards, going to stop touching himself with Steve in the room, when Steve startles him.
"No. Don't."
"Don't?" Eddie questions, hand stilled. "You want to watch?"
Steve nods.
Fucking hell.
Eddie's not shy, but this is brand new territory, even for him. Letting his friend watch him finish jerk off is nothing he's ever dreamed of before.
Eddie rubs his palm over the head of his dick, gathering up the precum there, trying to help the glide in any way he can.
His eyes are still on Steve, and Steve's own palm is crushed against his jean-clad crotch. Goddamn.Â
Eddie strokes himself, lazily, keeping eye contact with Steve. Steve's sweating, drops running down his forehead. This is the hottest thing that's ever happened to Eddie, and it's not even close.Â
Steve's rubbing himself through his jeans, and his dick looks fucking huge, at least from here. Eddie wants to see it, touch it, taste it. Get fucked by it. Stroke it while he fucks Steve. Any of it. All of it. If he'd only be allowed,
And as much as Eddie wants to see Steve stand there stroking himself while fully-clothed until he comes in his goddamn jeans from watching him, Eddie wants more.
Eddie makes a decision, he tugs down his boxers, freeing his cock from the fabric confines. Showing all of himself to Steve. His scarred hips, his hard cock, all for Steve.
Steve's eyes are glued to him, watching as Eddie holds onto the base of his dick, cupping his balls, holding everything for Steve to see.Â
"Goddamn," Steve breathes out.
"I've shown you mine," Eddie says, with a bravery he didn't know he had. He must be delirious from the heat, "Wanna show me yours?"
Steve's nodding, popping the button on his jeans, tugging the zipper, wiggling the tight denim down his thighs, taking his briefs with them.
Oh, fuck.
He's everything Eddie wished he might be, and more.Â
"Look at you," Eddie says, "Can I touch?"
And that's all it takes, Steve is shimmying across the room, kicking off his shoes, getting fully undressed as Eddie yanks his boxers off, doing the same.
Then, Steve's naked body is covering his. His mouth finding Eddie's, tongue immediately sliding inside, as if they've been doing this together forever.
Eddie moans, hands rubbing up and down Steve's back, his ass, and they're both covered in a light sheen of sweat. Slick as they rub against each other, rutting their hard cocks skin-to-skin. Desperate. Hot.
This is a whole 'nother level of horny. Eddie's never felt like this in his whole life. He feels drunk, stoned, fucked up on this man who's rubbing off on him.
Eddie cups his ass cheek, squeezing, before brushing the tips of his fingers against Steve's asshole, and Steve bucks against him, coming.
Oh, fuck. They are gonna have so much fun together.
Steve leans back, and rubs his palm through his own come, and then wraps his fist around Eddie's dick, and starts jerking him off in earnest. Eddie can't decide what to look at. His own cock, being worked over by Steve. Steve's face. Or Steve's softening dick, laying against his thigh, thick and wet.
It's all so fucking good.
Steve twists his wrist, and Eddie comes, hips lifting off the bed.
And Steve smiles, laying back down on him. It's too hot for that, way, way too hot, but Eddie says nothing. He just rubs his fingers up and down Steve's slick back.
They're gonna need a shower, and soon. But right now, Eddie'll suffer through the heat wave to have this wet dream of a moment together.
-
Steve never thought that he would end up here. Working at some ice cream shop with a girl who despised him for the first few weeks. He couldnât blame her. Robin is your friend, she knows what he did to you and itâs not just that. Up until this spring, he didnât even really know who she was, she was just someone he passed by in school and didnât even bother to glance at or even acknowledge.
Now that he got to know her a little, he couldnât help but take a liking towards her. She may be snappy at times but she is.. cool. He likes her. Not in the way he liked Nancy or you. But, in a way he shouldâve liked Nancy â just as a friend.Â
He calls her friend. Robin refuses to call him that.Â
She likes to pretend that they are enemies but really, they finally get along after weeks of bickering at Scoops Ahoy. After a little incident that got them locked up in the storage room for a whole night, they got even closer â who knew that weed and a little heart to heart would get them to like each other?
Robin looks at Steve differently now, her looks arenât filled with hate or annoyance anymore â well, she still rolls her eyes and makes fun of him but itâs not the same anymore.Â
Sometimes when youâre around, she gives him pitiful looks. He canât stand it. He doesnât want or even deserve pity, not from her, not from anyone.
She is looking at him with that look right now.Â
He sighs, trying to give her somewhat of a smile before he looks down at the red solo cup in his hand. Your giggles make his heart flutter and hurt at the same time. You are sitting on one of the logs around the fire, with Eddie. His jacket is wrapped around your shoulders, your legs are thrown over his thigh, you are practically sitting on his lap. You are nodding along to something heâs saying.Â
You two are in your own little world, ignoring the rest of the people around you. Itâs hard to tell what the two of you are. Every day, he wonders if you have made that move yet. The one he made with you back when you went from friends to something more.Â
People are celebrating the fourth of July with a bonfire party at Lovers Lake, just like every year. In all the previous years before this one, you were by his side, giggling at something he would say, wearing his jacket, sitting on his lap.Â
Now you sit there with Eddie.Â
And it all feels so wrong, you shouldnât be there with Eddie.Â
You belong with him.Â
âAre you okay?âÂ
Robinâs voice pulls him out of his thoughts, he looks at her, nodding.Â
She tilts her head, giving him another pitiful look.Â
âYouâre not drunk, are you?âÂ
He shakes his head, chuckling softly, âno, whenever I get drunk or high I end up doing or saying something stupid.âÂ
She chuckles, though, itâs more of a sad chuckle. When they got stuck in the storage room, Steve opened up about a lot of things â things that he would have never talked about had he been sober.Â
He let her have a look inside.Â
Robin didnât think that she would ever understand Steve and why he left you. But, she understands him now, a little.Â
He was scared of how much he loved you.Â
âDo you wanna go home?âÂ
âNah, Iâm your ride, remember?âÂ
She pats his back, giving him a smile, âthatâs right, dude. You should go and have some fun.â
He snorts, shaking his head. He glances at you, not expecting to see you looking at him â staring at him. He canât read the look in your eyes but he can see the smile that tugs at your lips. You raise your hand, waving at him, shyly. Â
His eyes light up, his lips twitch.Â
Robin notices the look on his face, the happiness that takes over in an instant. She follows his gaze.Â
âDo you wanna go talk to her?â Robin asks, nudging his shoulder.
He looks at you with softened eyes. His shoulders fall when you break eye contact, turning away from him to face Eddie again.Â
âNo,â he whispers.Â
âWhy not?â Robin asks, knowing that he wants to talk to you.
âSheâs with Eddie.â
âSo? You talk to her every time they come to Scoops together.â
âThatâs different.â
âHow so?â
Steve nudges his chin towards you, âlook at them.â
Robin sighs, looking over at you and Eddie. His arm is now wrapped around your shoulder, he is smiling as you whisper something in his ear.Â
âI wonât interrupt that.â
She knows how Steve feels about you, she knows how Eddie feels about you but, what she doesnât know is how you feel about them or how you feel in general. You donât talk about your feelings, you donât know how to, every time you did try to talk about them with her, you fell into a ramble, mixing up words, stringing together sentences that would make no sense, confusing both her and yourself.Â
It wasnât always like this.Â
You used to be able to talk about your feelings. You never rambled or broke down in the middle of a sentence and she felt like you were getting better after each conversation you had.Â
Then, you went on that date with Ray and everything went downhill after that.Â
You spent so much time trying to get over the pain that Steve had caused you. You got stronger and more confident. And it seemed as though you got â or, started to get over him. It took months to get up and all it took was a night to fall back down.Â
She sighs.Â
âI get it, Steve.â
-
âCareful.â
âI am careful!âÂ
âNo, youâre not! Youâve been on this ladder unsupervised.âÂ
âSo?â
âSo? Youâre a clutz!âÂ
You roll your eyes, snorting at his words.Â
âNo, Iâm not, Eddie.âÂ
You finish taping the new Metallica poster to the wall, glancing down at him, âalright, give me the next one, please?âÂ
Eddie chuckles, he lets go of the ladder and leans down, reaching for the last poster in the box. He unrolls it and his eyes widen.Â
âHoly shit, thatâs a new Iron Maiden poster!â He gasps, staring up at you with big eyes.Â
You giggle, nodding, âI âaccidentallyâ ordered two.â
He furrows his brows.Â
âGot one extra for you.â
His eyes light up and a smile appears on his face.
âNo fucking way!â
You laugh at his little outburst.Â
âItâs in the breakroom, Iâll get it after I put this one up,â you say, pointing to the poster in his hand.Â
âYouâre the best, did I ever tell you that? In case I havenât, youâre the best, sweetheart!âÂ
He holds it out for you, grinning at you as your eyes meet.Â
You shake your head in amusement, giggling, âI think you are the best but thanks.â
He grabs the ladder again, eying you with a smile on his face.Â
To know that you thought of him while making orders for the store, to know that you got something for him, something that he didnât even ask for, makes him so happy.Â
âSo, what are we doing tonight?â You ask.Â
He watches the way you furrow your brows as you tape the poster right next to the Metallica one. You bite your lip, focusing on getting it even.Â
âUh, Iâm not sure, what do you feel like doing?âÂ
âDinner and a movie night?â You suggest, âHeather is throwing a party but I donât feel like going.âÂ
âMe neither.âÂ
âSo, dinner and movies it is.âÂ
âSounds perfect to me, babâ s-sweetheart,â he clears his throat.Â
Baby. He wanted to call you baby.Â
Your cheeks heat up. You dare to glance at him, finding him looking completely flustered. His eyes are closed, his brows are knit together and his cheeks glow red. Cute. You have to suppress a giggle.Â
âAlright, all done!â You clap your hands together after finishing hanging up the last poster. You grab the tape and the scissors, handing them to Eddie before you make your way down the ladder.Â
âCareful,â he teases you.Â
You only roll your eyes in response. You jump on the ground, looking up at him with a proud smile, âsee? Not a clutz.âÂ
You shouldnât have spoken too soon. The moment you take a step forward, you trip over the open box on the ground, stumbling forward. His hands land on your waist.
Your hands fall to his chest, your knee buckles but you donât fall, he holds you tightly.Â
âNot a clutz, huh?â He chuckles as he looks down at you.Â
âThat was an accident,â you pout, looking up into his eyes.Â
You furrow your brows, his racing heart that you feel beneath your touch pulls your attention to his chest and for the first time, you notice how much bigger he actually is, how much taller he is.Â
How did you not notice before?
âHey guys!âÂ
Robinâs panicked voice causes the both of you to flinch. You both turn to look at her, frowning in confusion when you see the way she looks between you both.Â
You slowly step away from Eddie.Â
Why is she looking at you like that? Nothing happened.
âHey,â you smile as you lean down, picking up the empty box.Â
Eddie gives Robin a questioning look, tilting his head to the side.Â
Her eyes are wide and sheâs smiling, nervously.Â
What the hell is she so nervous about?
A moment later, Steve walks into the store. Oh, right. Her new best friend, the one who gets jealous at every interaction he sees between you and him. Eddie rolls his eyes, not at him but at Robin and how protective she is of his feelings.
âOh hey,â Steve mumbles, turning to look at Robin in surprise, âyou come here on your day off?âÂ
She nods, stepping further into the store, âyep.â
âBuying new records for the car you donât have?â He teases, smirking.Â
âHa ha,â she rolls her eyes.Â
He chuckles and finally turns to face you.Â
âHey.â
You smile at him, âhi.â
Steve glances at Eddie who turns away, pretending to look around.
âSo uh, what are you two doing here?â You ask, chuckling.Â
Robin raises her brows, pointing at Eddie, âwhatâs he doing here?â
You walk behind the counter, putting the box down. You reach for the drink on the counter, lifting it up, âhe brought me coffee and lunch.â
Robin nods, tilting her head, she smiles at Eddie, âyouâre such a sweet friend, Eddie.â
He rolls his eyes at her, mumbling something under his breath before he turns away again.Â
âI uhâ I wanted to ask if you wanted to spend lunch break with me but, I see you got something already,â Steve mumbles, running his fingers through his hair as he looks down.Â
âOh, maybe next time?â You ask, trying to give him a smile.
âMaybe next timeâ sounds like a nicer version of âno, thank you.â
Steve knew that it was a mistake to come here and ask you to spend time with him, alone. But, he wanted to try.Â
âW-We can go out for lunch together⌠on Monday?â You offer.Â
His eyes light up and he looks up from the counter, he nods with a smile on his face.Â
âIâd love to.â
He smiles at you and you smile at him. Neither of you notice the annoyed look on Eddieâs face.Â
âAnd I wanted to ask if you wanna go to the lake tomorrow? You, me, Chrissy,â Robin smiles, âand your two uhââ she stops herself from saying what she actually wants to say as she gestures to Steve and Eddie, âbuddies.âÂ
Steve squints his eyes at her, âbuddies?â He whispers.Â
âItâs supposed to get super hot tomorrow,â Robin says, ignoring Steve and Eddieâs glare.Â
âUhâ sure, why not,â you shrug, âEddie, do you wanna go?â
âYeah, sure.â
You lift your brows, giving her a smile, âgreat.â
She lifts her hands, giving you two thumbs up, âgreat,â she grins, nudging Steveâs shoulder.
-
You should have known that Robin and Chrissy wouldnât be here on time â poor Steve is probably in his car waiting for them. A part of you is relieved that Eddie didnât have to pick them up though, you would still be waiting for them.Â
You and Eddie are sitting on a large picnic blanket, looking at the water as you both snack on the grapes you brought. You are still in your sundress but the longer you sit out in the sun, the more you feel like ripping it off and jumping into the cold water.Â
There arenât many people around, a few kids with their parents, some teenagers you recognize from school but you and Eddie chose to sit away from everyone else.Â
You are both quiet, enjoying each otherâs company in silence as you wait for the others.
âThey are taking so long,â you whine.
âI know,â Eddie chuckles.Â
You glance at him, he stretches his legs out and leans back, looking at you with a smile on his face.Â
âDo you wanna go swimming?â
You bite your lip, looking him up and down. You take your sunglasses off and put them on your bag.Â
âIf you come with me,â you say, giving him a sweet smile.Â
âDo you think Iâll let you swim alone? There could be monsters and shit, I gotta protect you.âÂ
You laugh, shaking your head.Â
âMonsters in Lovers Lake? The only monsters I see are those teenage boys â hold on, is that Carver?â You ask, scrunching your face up in disgust as you point at the blond who just jumped into the water, âyou might be right, there are monsters.â
Eddie chuckles, âyeah, thatâs a real monster.âÂ
You start to unbutton your dress.Â
Eddie gets up, reaching for the hem of his shirt, he pulls it over his head, throwing it on the ground, it lands with a soft thud beside you. You look at the shirt as you push the dress down to your waist, looking up at Eddie.Â
You have seen him shirtless before, countless times, actually. He is actually one of the only men you had seen shirtless â one was Steve, another one was Billy, but only because he walks around shirtless whenever he gets the chance to. Besides, he was never one that you had been attracted to. So, Billy doesnât count.Â
But you look at Eddie.
His body, his skin, his scent, different from the one you already know, the skin you traced. The freckles that are not on his skin, yet it is covered in tattoos. No sun kissed skin, yet still beautiful in its paleness. No brown luscious hair, but a messy mop of dark curls that still fall beautifully on his shoulders. Both beautiful, both different. But why are you even comparing?
âReady to go?âÂ
You snap out of your thoughts, nodding.Â
Sighing, you look down and finish taking your dress off. You press your lips together as you adjust your top.Â
You hear the sharp breath he takes, the curse word that fell from his lips, the one he tried to cover with a cough.Â
âI-Is t-that a new one?â He stutters, trying to rip his gaze away from your chest as he points to your swimsuit.Â
You feel amused by the stutter, by the blush on his cheeks and the shakiness in his voice.Â
âYes,â you giggle.Â
Eddie stares at you, at your body, at your soft skin that he is dying to touch. Your eyes that shine beneath the sunlight, the cherry red swimsuit that is hugging your body so perfectly. The way you look up at him with big eyes, parted and glossy lips. You look so gorgeous.Â
âI love it.â
Your eyes widen and you are once again blushing.Â
âThank you, Eddie.â
He looks at you, not hungrily, not in a way others have wanted you before. He looks at you like you are the most precious thing in the world.
You push yourself up, leaning closer to him, you give him a teasing smile.Â
âIâll race you to the water.â And with that, you run off, giggling when you hear him cursing.Â
âHey! Thatâs not fair!âÂ
You squeal in surprise when he catches up with you quickly, he wraps his arms around your waist, picking you up and running into the water with you. He laughs at the squeal that falls from your lips again when the cold water touches your skin.Â
âGot you,â he whispers in your ear as he holds you tightly, sinking in the water with you.Â
âItâs so cold!â You gasp, holding his forearm tightly.Â
âWanna dive, sweetheart?â He teases.Â
âNo!â You squeal as he takes you deeper into the water.Â
He chuckles when you push his hands off, putting some distance between you before you turn around to face him.Â
âYou wanna fight me?â You splash water his way.Â
âOh,â he chuckles, shaking his head, âyou wanna play that game?â He asks, splashing water back at you.Â
You nod as you walk back, suddenly feeling nervous when an evil smirk appears on his face.Â
âHow about you play the helpless victim?âÂ
âAnd you play the big bad monster?âÂ
He suddenly jumps forward, reaching for you but you quickly pull back, trying to run in the water.
âNo!âÂ
You hear his dark chuckle behind you, âwe didnât even get started!âÂ
âYouâre an evil water monater!â You giggle as you take a look at him, watching the way the few wet strands of his cling to his cheeks.Â
His eyes light up with amusement, âthe evil water monster is gonna get the pretty human.âÂ
Your giggle makes his heart flutter and his smile widens when you squeal again as his fingers brush against your wrist.Â
âI almost got you!âÂ
âLeave me alone!â You laugh, making the mistake of running into the other direction, giving him the chance to grab you. His hands grab your waist and he pulls you against him, your back is now flush against his bare chest. His fingers digging into your sides as he starts to tickle you.Â
âH-Hey!â You laugh, throwing your head back, ât-thatâs not f-fair,â you giggle, gripping his wrists but he is stronger than you. âE-Eddie!âÂ
âEddie!â He mocks, laughing.Â
You push him back, hard enough for him to lose balance and as he falls, he takes you with him, wrapping his arms around you, you both fall into the water, laughing together as you fall against his chest.
The water sloshes around you. You are both giggling as you help each other up, holding each other's hands. He pulls you into him causing you to stumble forward a little. Your free hand falls against his wet chest as his falls to your waist.Â
âHi,â you chuckle.Â
âHey,â he smiles, moving his hand up to tuck the wet strands of your hair behind your ear. Â
You look at his chest, eyeing his tattoos for a moment and then, you look up, eyes drifting to his lips.Â
His brows knit together. He watches the way you look at him. His breathing stutters when your eyes continue to stare at his lips. But you are confused and completely lost. Why? What are you thinking about?
You pull away from him when you catch yourself thinking of something that shouldnât even cross your mind.Â
Why did you even think about it?Â
Why did you have to get so close to him?
Wasnât the kiss with Steve enough?Â
Why are you trying to ruin another friendship?
You already lost Steve, you donât want to lose Eddie too.
âHey guys!âÂ
Both you and Eddie look up to find Robin running into the water, grinning at the both of you.Â
âHey!âÂ
The smile on your face is fake, Eddie can see it.Â
âTook you long enough, Buckley,â Eddie chuckles.Â
âYeah, I uhâ we stopped by the store, got some snacks,â she says with a shaky voice as she gets into the cold water.Â
âHey guys!â Chrissy yells from the spot you and Eddie picked, waving at the two of you. She sits down on the pink towel she just put on the grass next to yours.Â
âHi!â You smile, waving back at her.Â
Judging by the tanning oil in her hand, you already know that she wonât be joining you in the water.Â
Finally, you look at Steve, who seems unaware of what just almost happened. He takes his shirt off and runs his hand through his hair as he stands there in just his swim trunks, looking like some model that just walked out of a magazine. Your eyes widen as you stare at his chest.Â
Since when does he have chest hair?Â
He used to hate it and always shaved it when you were still together.Â
You stare at it without meaning to, your eyes roam his body. He changed a little, his arms are more muscular than before, his shoulders are a little broader. His hair is longer too.Â
When he looks up, you turn away, not wanting to be caught staring.Â
âRobin, can I talk to you for a moment?â Eddie asks with pleading eyes.Â
âYeah sure.â
You watch as they both step away, leaving you standing by yourself for a moment. Good, you need it. You look around, deciding to go swimming without them. You take a deep breath and walk deeper into the water, letting the coldness envelope your body. You close your eyes and you start swimming.Â
As you swim further away from the shore, the voices and the laughter from the people get lost in the distance. You hear the water sloshing, your breathing and your beating heart.Â
You stop swimming and tilt your head back, stretching your arms out as you lay on your back, letting your body float.Â
You try to not think. You try to not feel. You try to just be here and enjoy this. You enjoy the cold feeling on your skin beneath the water, the warm feeling of the sun shining down on your face.Â
For a moment, itâs so quiet out here, itâs almost eerie.
You think about the joke Eddie made. Monsters in Lovers Lake. Now that youâre out here by yourself, you canât help but think about it. Maybe there is something in the deep end.
Something could just snatch you up and pull you down. You definitely watch too many horror movies.Â
âYouâre too far out.â
Your heart leaps to your throat and you open your eyes, gasping as you clutch your chest.
âYou scared me!âÂ
Steveâs lips part, his brows furrow. You place your hand on your chest, trying to calm your breathing. He canât help but laugh as he takes in the terrified look on your face.Â
âIâm sorry,â he whispers, swimming closer to you, âdid you think about that weird lake monster that you were so afraid of when you were a kid?âÂ
âHuh â oh! O-Oh, you remember that?â You laugh.Â
He nods, âyeah, you only talked about it like every day.âÂ
You snort, rolling your eyes.Â
âI wasnât thinking about that monster.âÂ
âA different one then?âÂ
âMaybe.âÂ
He laughs, âstill scared of monsters that donât exist, I see.âÂ
âHey, you never know, something could just emerge from the water.â You swim towards him, getting closer and closer. His cheeks are a little red, water drips down from his hair, single droplets rolling down his cheeks and his lips.Â
âAnd what, snatch me up?â He chuckles, licking his lips.Â
âMhmm, maybe monsters love guys with uh that,â you giggle, pointing to his chest, âI thought you hated chest hair, Stevie.â
You always told him to stop shaving it, you always wanted to see what it would look like on him.
His cheeks heat up and he doesnât know whether itâs because of your words, the nickname or the closeness of your body.Â
âIâm trying new things,â he shrugs.Â
New things. He is trying new things. He tried new things when he dated girls before you, new hairstyles, new clothes, new music. He only ever tried new things when he was interested in someone and thought that he had to change â be better, look better.Â
âL-Like what?â
Your eyes flash with something that he struggles to read. Â
âFor girls you mean?â You ask before he can even respond to your first question. You remember what Robin told you the first time you visited them at Scoops Ahoy. âA-Are youâ do you have someone?â You ask before you can even stop those words from spilling.Â
âWhat?â He asks, shaking his head at you.Â
âNothing,â you mumble, âforget it.â Why do you even care?Â
This is none of your business. He can do whatever he wants. He can flirt as much as he wants. He can go on dates. He can have flings. He can have girlfriends.Â
You tear your eyes away from him, desperately wanting to get away when you feel your cheeks heating up but just as youâre about to swim back, you notice how loose your bikini top is suddenly feeling. You raise your hand, placing it on your chest, âshit,â you mumble when you realize that the knot came undone.Â
âW-Whatâs wrong?â Steve asks as he snaps out of his thoughts.Â
âM-My stupid bikini â the knotââ
He realizes what happened when he notices your hand on your chest as you keep your other arm stretched out so you stay afloat.Â
âCan you help me?â You ask with big eyes.Â
His heart melts at the tone in your voice and the look in your eyes.Â
âOf course,â he whispers, swimming towards you.
This isnât ideal but, he touched you before, he had seen you naked before, it wonât be weird or foreign for him to do it.Â
He swims behind you and he stares at your bare back for a moment, swallowing nervously. He takes in a shaky breath and reaches out to gather your wet hair, he brushes it to the side.Â
A shiver runs down your spine when you feel his touch for the first time again. His calloused fingers touching your bare skin. You press your lips together, and close your eyes.Â
He moves closer than he has to, he canât help it. He reaches for the strings of your top and he starts tying the knot, slowly. He can feel the goosebumps on your skin and he canât help but wonder if itâs because of the cold water or if itâs because of his touch â he hopes that itâs because of his touch.Â
He looks at your soft skin, wondering what it would be like to feel it on his again. He wonders what it would feel like to touch you, to have your body pressed against his. He looks at your shoulder, wishing that he could lean down and press his lips against it, pressing kisses up to your neck. His heart flutters just at the thought of it.Â
He is close, so close.Â
His fingers brush against your spine and your breath hitches in your throat. He heard it.Â
His touch feels so different from the way it used to feel. Itâs soft, gentle. Something that it never used to be. He is careful with you, he never was, not when you were still his.Â
You wonder if he ever thought that you looked beautiful.Â
You wonder if he ever craved you the way you craved him after he left.Â
Your heart starts racing the longer you feel his hands on your skin. Hands that used to be so rough on your body are now so light and caring, it makes you nervous. His hands feel familiar yet so strange and foreign.Â
Is he touching someone else with those hands now?
âThereâs no one else.â He says as though he could read your mind.
For a moment, you stop breathing.
âThereâs only one girl for me,â he whispers as he puts his hand on your shoulder, turning you around carefully so he can see you, so he can look into your eyes.Â
He felt the way you reacted to his touch. He heard the sadness and the jealousy in your voice when you had asked him those questions. He can see the look in your eyes.Â
There is still a chance.Â
There is still a chance, right?
I have an idea for the next part in teenagers:
Miles and Gwen and Hobie and reader go on a double date/just hangout. Reader tells them about everything that happened with Miguel. Later when theyâre hanging out at reader/Miguels place, Miguel gets a little lighter on all the rules for you all (door still stays open though)
đđđđ§đđ đđŤđŹ... đđ đ
I had to add onto how you were dangerous so this is a lot đ
âYeah, and the file said she was dangerous, how can this cute little thing be dangerous?â Hobie said, ruffling your hair as you explained what happened to you and Miguel, because they noticed it was a little awkward.
âIf anything sheâs the least dangerous person here.â Gwen laughed, and pointed a fork at you.
You rolled you eyes. âOkay, okay, fuck all of you.â
âEven me?â Hobie gasped and feigned offense.
âNo.â You kissed his cheek, and miles and Gwen both rolled their eyes at you guys.
Hobie laughed as he saw their faces.
âAnyways, you all cominâ with?â Hobie asked.
âYeah.â Miles and Gwen said at the same time.
Then you guys went into an alley, and hopped into the portal.
âHey, Mr. OâHara.â Gwen said when she saw him on the couch.
âHi.. you didnât tell me they were coming.â He looked at you.
âRight.. sorry. I didnât kn-â
âItâs fine. Just donât forget to leave the door open.â He said.
âWe wonât. See you.â You said.
Heâs been quiet ever since you both fought. Heâs let you do whatever, and you didnât mind.
âHey, once theyâre gone, we need to talk.â He looked at you before you entered the room. He was done with the secrets.
âAlright..â you said, a little confused, he just avoided your gaze and looked back at the TV.
You all talked and hung out for a while, throwing popcorn and pillows at each other.
âAlright, Iâll see you guys.â You said to miles and Gwen, as they both opened portals.
âBye, thank you for today. It was fun.â
âYeah.â Miles agreed, and they both left so it was now just you and Hobie.
Miguel walked in the room, looking at Hobie.
âShould I go orâŚâ
âYou can stay. I think you should hear this.â
You looked at Miguel confused, as you went on your bed.
Hobie looked at Miguel then you, then Miguel again.
âSo, you read the whole thing right?â
âNot the whole things.. just the part about how I was taken by you, and how I was dangerous and had to be watched.â
âDo you know why your dangerous?â
ââŚno.â
Hobie leaned back, interested.
Miguel sighed. âI didnât wanna tell you this, but, you remember how I told you about the doctor strange guy from earth 19999?â
âYeah.. why..?â
âBasically, when you were younger, you had powers, nobody thought you could control them, until he came by, and hid them away. In this file, it tells you exactly what powers.â He handed you it.
Type: Superhuman individual.
Sex: Female.
Parents: Unknown, it is believed that a parent dropped her off on earth 712 for someone else to pick her up, to which they never did.
Potential parent/s: Pietro Maximoff because of their similar powers, Stephen Strange
Guardian: Miguel OâHara.
Age: 4 years old.
Powers/abilities: Superspeed (Estimated to be about as fast as quicksilver from earth 616). The ability to change time, she does not know how to control it.
âThe fuck..? Youâre joking.â You looked up at Miguel.
âI wish. You were a pain in the ass when we tried to catch you, always running away. And accidentally turning back the time over and over. Dr strange had to step in.. and hide them.â
âWell, I want no part in whatever the fuck that isâŚâ you threw the file at him.
Hobie just stared in amusement.
âDonât know why but that makes you even hotter.â Hobie mumbled.
âWhat?â
âWell, I just wanted you to know⌠you donât have to.â Miguel shrugged, picking up the file.
âGoodnight, Miguel. Thank you..â
âNo problem.â He said, smiling softly, before leaving.
âWell, look at my girl, youâre more powerful than me.â
âWas I not before?â
He snickered âDefinitely not.â
âHey! I could be totally scary!â You hit his chest.
âYou punch like a baby.â He yawned.
You huffed and rolled your eyes.
âLove you though.â He laughed, and wrapped his arms around you. You smiled and laughed as he started to tickle you.
âStop! Stop! Hobie!â
The thing about drinking at 31 years old is that it's different from drinking at 18 years oldâ or 21 years old, or even 25 years old. Each shot, each drink, is one sip away from a terrible nightâs sleep and an equally terrible morning.
Eddie Munsonâs figured this out. Steve Harrington though? Steve Harrington has not.Â
Thatâs how Eddie finds himself corralling his husband onto the couch after stumbling into the house, the front door slamming loud enough to jolt their cat out of her otherwise peaceful slumber. She glares for a moment before stretching her paws and curling back into a neat little ball.Â
âOkay, okay, okay,â Steve repeats, an immediate tell that heâs definitely not making it any further than the couch anyways. âIâm good, Iâm fine, thisâ this is a nice couch.â He punctuates his thought by slapping the cushion and laughing.Â
Eddie shakes his head and grins. âYep, it sure is. You picked it out, remember?âÂ
Steve gasps and laughs some more, falling back into the corner of the sectional. âI donât but itâs comfy so if I did, I did a good fucking job.â
He watches with fond comfortability as Steve squirms around on the couch and lays back, arms over his head and dopey laugh still on his lips. It takes a lot of willpower and frankly, respect, not to climb on top of this giggly, flushed, disheveled man he loves so goddamn much and kiss him until heâs flushed for other reasons, but he digs deep and focuses on doing the next best thing: taking care of him. Eddieâs a little worse for the wear in his own right but a sliver of his iron constitution remains from his wild youth and he hangs on by a thread.Â
Eddie gets Steve situated into a comfortable position, his back against one side of the cushions and his head propped up on a few pillows to make sure he doesnât end up with his face smushed into the corner somehow.Â
âIâm good, Iâm fineâ hey, hey, what are you doing?â Steve slurs and Eddie looks up from his position at the end of the couch, his fingers moving quickly as he unties Steveâs sneakers.Â
âTaking your shoes off? You canât sleep in your jeans, Stevie. Youâll thank me tomorrow.âÂ
Steve hums from somewhere high in his throat but doesnât say anything else Eddie moves to unhook his belt.Â
âStopâstop it, hey, Iâm married!â Steve smacks Eddieâs hand and Eddie barely suppresses a cackle. âYouâre hot and all but Iâm married and my husbandâs hotter than you anyways.âÂ
With that, Eddie canât stop himself. Warmth spreads through his chest as he laughs, from his heart all the way down to the tingling in his toes. Even drunk, even with his eyes closed, Steve would still choose him without a thought and sure, after all these years, it shouldnât come as a surprise but it does. Because Steve is Steve, and Eddie is Eddie, and Eddie still hasnât figured out what huge karmic debt he mustâve paid for them to have become SteveAndEddie.
He stares at Steve whoâs nearly asleep but feebly muttering words like âhot,â and âperfect,â and âlucky.âÂ
âHey, hey, Stevie, open your eyes for a second?â Eddie brushes the hair back from his forehead, gently shifting it away from his bloodshot, glossy eyes. Heâs beautiful, even like this, what the fuck?
âOh,â Steveâs eyebrow unfurrow and the right side of his mouth turns up into a small grin. âItâs you. Hi, Ed.âÂ
âHi, Steve.â Eddie chuckles and kisses his forehead. âGonna get your jeans off so you can sleep, okay?âÂ
âMhm, yeah, thatâsâ thanks.âÂ
Eddie coaxes them off, tossing them onto a chair where theyâll remain until the next morning, and sets a glass of water down on the coffee table for when Steve inevitably wakes up with cottonmouth. One more soft kiss and an even softer blanket later, Steve is out and Eddie tip toes up the stairs to bed.Â
The next morning, Eddie wakes to see Steve next to him. At some point, he mustâve woken up and gotten himself to bed which gives Eddie the opportunity to stare uninterrupted in the silence of their bedroom. It stands in stark contrast to the boisterous night beforeâ the loud music and jumping bodies and Chrissy popping a bottle of champagne in celebration of Robin saying yes, as if thereâd ever been a doubt.Â
Steveâs on his back, the sun just starting to intrude on their tranquility. He takes in Steveâs features, the same ones heâs memorized time and time again but that never fail to stun him just the same. The moles, the freckles, the scars that make him ache and feel thankful simultaneously. The strong line of his jaw, the eyelashes that flutter as he sleeps, that one tendril of hair that insists on curling until Steve forces it into place. Eddieâs seen a lot of the world now, having traveled a bit with his band, and thereâs nothing that compares to the man sleeping next to him.Â
Even if heâs snoring.Â
When Steve does eventually wake up, trudging downstairs with one eye open and asking why Long Island Iced Teaâs even exist, Eddieâs ready with the necessitiesâ a black iced coffee, two sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches delivered to their doorstep, and a Gatorade for himself.Â
âYouâre the fucking best, you know that?â Steve smiles through the pounding headache as he sips his coffee and tears into the sandwich.Â
âEh, I try,â Eddie grins with a mouthful of egg and leans over to bump their shoulders together.Â
Comfortable quiet drapes over them like the blanket from last night still over the back of the couch, and like the jeans hanging off the reclinerâ little reminders of the night before and of the domesticity of the life theyâve built together.Â
Once Steve finishes his sandwich, their cat, Florence, hops up on the table and starts batting at the rolled up wrappers.Â
âThink she wants to play,â Steve grumbles, sliding off the couch and laying on the carpet. âListen, Florence, you know I love you but kid, I cannot play right now. Iâm barely alive.âÂ
Eddie doubles over and nearly spits Gatorade all over the coffee table. Even their terrible, hungover, washed up mornings aren't all that bad.
we don't talk about it (we don't have the time)
ďš season one of âcome homeâ
being dustin henderson's older sister and jonathan byers' best friend is usually an uneventful affair, but when will byers goes missing and a girl with a shaved head claims she has super powers, your duties as a sister and a best friend become a lot more complicated. (it also makes your feelings suddenly complicated, which you're choosing to ignore). (and steve harrington definitely isn't helping). (as usual).
episode one: the vanishing of will byers - jonathan smuggles you free food in exchange for friendship, will goes missing the one time you listen to jonathan, hopper doesn't really like you, and steve harrington almost hits you with his car as you're sobbing like a damn baby (in a cool way).
episode two: the weirdo on maple street - you use your limited psych knowledge to help a bald girl, you force jonathan to accept $20 and he's later an ass to you, steve doesn't know what a "missing" poster looks like, and it's really hard being a single mother to now four kids.
episode three: holly, jolly - you and jonathan talk it out and things are better (spoiler alert: they aren't), you somehow end up agreeing with steve harrington ?? then you have a minor breakdown in front of the kids and once again fail to prevent them from experiencing more trauma.
episode four: the body - you basically have a "no babe don't cry over ur dead brother ur so sexy" moment with jonathan, hopper plays mr love doctor (cute date idea: coffin shopping), and somehow nancy wheeler makes you realize that you're a horrible babysitter and an even bigger idiot. meanwhile: steve harrington is frustratingly charming.
episode five: the flea and the acrobat - you and dustin have a long overdue Sibling Moment, at will's funeral you and jonathan exchange information and surprise ! it's all horrible news ! nancy has awful timing and when you leave her alone with jonathan one damn time you and steve end up trauma bonded on her front porch #bffs.
episode six: the monster - so nancy and jonathan are a Thing now and you really just need a good nap, the three of you go shopping for monster hunting supplies (which honestly isn't the weirdest thing you've done this week), an old man sells you a sentimental knife, and steve kind of accidentally kidnaps you with a sexy black eye.
episode seven: the bathtub - your brother basically places himself on the fbi's most wanted list and el flips a van with her mind, now you have to create a giant salt tub because of course you do, nancy tries Talking About It but hasn't she read the title ? you don't have the time. sidenote: you've somehow become a steve defender during these trying times. typical. meanwhile: steve's inner thoughts are pathetic.
episode eight: the upside down - drinking game time ! take a shot every time jonathan tries ditching you or every time you almost die at the byers house, you find out that steve really is an athlete and tbh it's hot, but you know what's even hotter ? saving hawkins and reaching a tentative compromise with steve after he loans you $5 for snacks. after, jonathan makes a promise you really hope he can keep.
â set between seasons 1 and 2
ďš episode nine: the beginning - BONUS EPISODE TIME ! steve becomes bookstrorindary's favorite loyal costumer, jonathan buys you a bug for christmas, you freak out your poor coworker alex, and suddenly steve is really hot and you're feeling so many feelings (bad ! it's all bad !).
