she wants to be friends with everyone but if youre not her friend, you’ll eventually toe in line with her or face the consequences. the way she was talking about how she was TRYING to be nice but man for some reason the red team wouldnt get over her killing one of their members! and its just HARRY who cares!

its like she genuinely doesnt understand why someone doesnt want to be her friend. this feels like the mindset of like “if i just explain everything perfectly then everyone MUST agree with me! because i have the facts!”

but she doesnt. like. get that people sometimes dont like or respect you and you have to let that go. ros doesnt want to let that GO. ultimately her killing pili or bad is barely even revenge for foolish; its about ros being in control of the way someone sees or feels about her

she doesnt want EVERYONE to fear her. she just wants everyone to be her friend but if theyre not her friend then they’ll be afraid, because either way, ros feels more secure.

Drunkenly insisted he come over, changed his mind 5min from my apartment, ghosts me for a week. I lightheartedly called him out for not rescheduling getting drinks and catching up that he suggested, so he reschedules. He makes heavy handed moves on me all night until he fucks me. Immediately says it was a mistake and promptly leaves without looking at me until he says goodbye. 2 weeks and nothing has been said. He then texts me, no hey how are you, asking if I'd been tested. Was like pulling teeth getting out of him that he'd been experiencing symptoms and suspects trich. I was tested after we slept together last time and was good, but to ease his anxiety I say I'll get tested again. I send him my results 2 days later. He purposefully miscommunicates and says "I'm all good". I voice that while I appreciate him wanting to let me know, that it caused me anxiety and he could've just waited until he knew for sure. He says he misspoke and hasn't actually gotten his results back and assume all clear since we both were negative previously (huh?!). Almost a full week goes by and he finally gets his negative results and sends me only the trich results. I rightfully ask if he got the full panel or just a test for trich. He sends me all the results, but only bc I asked. I reiterate that he could've just waited for the results to tell me because it stressed me out.

He finally admits that someone he slept shortly before me (unclear when) tested positive and he wanted to be on the safe side. I'm not in the mood for a fight so I just said ok that makes more sense.

Like I'm so fucking tired. He's such a fucking manipulative liar with serious communication and emotional immaturity issues. I literally do not give a fuck that you sleep with other people, just don't fucking lie and manipulate me holy shit. And the audacity to get defensive when I neutrally tell you how this whole thing made me feel instead of being passive and soft about it, is fucking WILD. Like I just know he's painted me as the crazy girl in his head because I call him out on his hypocritical and manipulative bullshit even in a neutral way. That scene with Jinx and silco where she's "treating" his eye in his lap feels so weird (in a good way) with s2 knowledge. Because I truly think that silco wasn't just talking to Jinx but himself. Reassurance that no matter how far they've come and how much they've trampled on that it was worth it because nobody is as loyal to each other as they are. Not vi not vander, not anyone. Everyone else abandons them because they are "too much." Whether its in doing anything to be seen as something other than a street rat or or the trauma that comes with growing up like jinx they will always be to much for someone even if they proclaim feelings of love and familiarity. He sees himself in her and thus was attached to the hip.

I. IM ACTUALLY KINDA SPEECHLESS UM . UM. wow. THATS FANART WORTHY HI WHAT. Like. Yeah I know its explained a line later that Scratch was canonically confused and probably didn't remember that! However! Doesn't make it any less intriguing to me specifically! LIKE HELLO? Only time so far a part of Lillith (albeit. A probably highly amnesiac and disconnected fragment <- but also scratch was close enough to her that they fused back easily unlike john and hastur soooo) is actually questioned about that whole relationship....

Season 8 was like 6 years ago(I feel old) and I know ppl have differing opinions on the Mr Echo thing (but it was intended, made it to storyboard and blocked animation and then dropped, soooo) but. I can see his recruitment p easily tbh. Bc the whole reason Dr J was in that lighthouse was because he was resurrected, forced there, and ordered to build Skulkin vehicles by Samukai. But Samukai in the flashback we see has already been deposed as leader of the Skulkin/Underworld. Which means the orders to do so most likely came from Garmadon.

And since Mr. E is one of the head honchos, he's likely an early arrival to the team, so I don't think Harumi has a whole lot figured out at this point, she's just got her Trauma and some Bad Influence Friends and an obsession with Lord Garmadon. So. Like. Plausible deniability road trip that she's just visiting important markers of Ninjago's recent past, all of which involve Lord Garmadon in some meaningful way; its sightseeing, its cathartic, and it gives her time to develop her dream Motorcycle Gang/Resurrection Cult. She's not looking for anyone at the Lighthouse, but she is looking for vehicle blueprints so she can be the Koolest leader on the block. But oops she looks in the basement and there's an Echo.

And she's flipping out bc??? A Ninja???? In the Lighthouse basement??? I mean it makes sense that it would be this one but???

Except this rusty old robot has no idea what she's talking about with this Ninja stuff, he's just waiting for his dad to come back.

And Harumi pauses.

Because how long has he been waiting? He's not sure, he had no proper way to measure time in the basement, and he doesn't have the best view of his clockwork heartpiece. But it was after his father saw a strange ship docking; Echo was worried it was the People who had locked up his father in the first place, but instead his dad sounded happy when he saw whoever was out there. It could have been a front, though, as clearly it was never safe to let Echo back out. Then Dr J popped down briefly, while everyone above was resting, to tell Echo he was desperately needed elsewhere, that it wasn't safe to bring Echo, but that he'd be back in no time.

And the pieces are fitting together for Harumi. And she's like. Your dad's dead, bro.

And he's like. What? Did he die doing what was needed of him?

And she's like. Oh, no. He died a few years later.

And he's like. Why didn't he come back for me????

And she's like. Probably because they kept him away.

And he's like. Who's they?

And she's like. The Ninja I was talking about earlier.

And it surely can't be hard in universe to find pictures of Zane and Dr J post s2-pre s3, so she pulls one up and shows Echo who is freaking out bc why is that one kind of like him and Harumi explains that that was the droid his father created first, that he became a Ninja, and that hes probably the one who took their father away and kept echo waiting for years.

But Echo has doubts, shocked as he is abt a new older brother, he wants to believe the good in the situation so he's unsure. But Harumi mentions that the Ninja's failures to uphold more than their self preservation/interests has led to uncountable losses and devastation in Ninjago time and time again, before delving into her own story. And she seems so kind, and so hurt, and I do think there's a genuine connection btwn these two that forms from this shared emotional torment that they decide came from the Ninja, and now Echo is more receptive.

And then Harumi gets to start her Garmadon pitch because wait! If Echo was made here, then that could only have happened because of Lord Garmadon. And she reiterates that he's the reason she and her city could have even survived The Great Devourer. And maybe Echo's family-by-creation left, maybe they were untrustworthy and lacking, but that's OK bc if you look at it all a certain way, Garmadon is more of a father to Echo than Dr J was. And Echo is a vulnerable, overwhelmed mess who just found out his dad fucked off for years without him and also died, and also he has a brother??? Who their dad clearly seems to have favored??? Did they even know about Echo??? Did they delight in their life free of him???

Basically. Kinda Spinel-core but getting abandoned and left completely alone does that to you. Especially when the first person to find you after being abandoned is a deeply hurt and misguided teen who is probably kinda desperate for someone, anyone else to see the Ninja the way she sees them.

If you don’t mind, I’m gonna yap for a second.. I think another problem with Kab is how sudden the turn around was. Like in the first convo where Kab was acting “evil”, Zam fought back with the argument that she’s wasn’t really evil at all and I think he did believe that at least a little. And if Kab slowly began to turn her path around then he would be a bit more trusting cause he would have SEEN her actual emotional growth but the turn around was so fast, it feels like there was no emotional growth at all and that Kab is still the same as before, cause she basically is. She still wants Mane dead no matter the cost and she’s still, intentionally or not, trying to manipulate Zam, but she wants to be treated as if she’s had that whole long term emotional growth

yeah ii think this is where her majority experience with short-term smps really bit her in the ass, i think there are two main directions that other ppl take it tho: 1. is as what you speculate in that some ppl think that she hasnt had genuine growth and hasnt changed at all and 2. that she genuinely changes too quickly and is therefore unreliable regardless of if shes being honest or not

i think the reason zam was so receptive to her in silent scream was cause this has been a recurrent plot point for a couple streams now, kab trespassing zams base to yap while zam tries to decipher her wants and motivations until eventually she just let it all out and in that instance i think he did genuinely believed that she changed even if it was slowly/just a little bit

....but then die for you happened lol

ssee the thing about kab is that shes shes all-or-nothing, going from one extreme to the next after just a little bit of change in character which can be jarring to some ppl to say the least (unless you thought she was lying and therefore any character development shouldnt be believed i suppose) but is something that was a great asset in shorter and arena-based smps where you had to get as much advantage against your opponent as possible without having to worry about the long-term consequences of these actions ie them not trusting you while still having to interact often in mundane ways even after messing with them. while she Can be swayed this only really works with things she was already unsure of which while a great motivator and trait to keep her on track with her goals (again another great trait for short-term smps), can be really jarring and distressing for other ppl if the things she was absolutely sure about goes against their own perspective like for example her thinking that derapchu killing her constitutes zam getting payback for her as the protector of the server (The protector, not A protector like zam insists, The protector of the server)

i think shes far too used to the fast-paced instant acceptance of changed personality in arena smps that is a natural consequence of them being short-term and having a revolving door of members and teams which is why she expects ppl to accept her growth and efforts so quickly even if realistically nobody would hand over their trust that easily esp after essentially being harassed in their own home multiple times, like even in normal smps where theres a baseline amount of trust ppl still wouldnt trust you after doing that, what more in a server like lifesteal where general trust is low basically all the time?
