Hey hey im one of your fe mutuals. Whats TGCF? Is it a show? Game?
I’m going to go on a biased rant so apologies
TGCF (also know as Heaven Official’s Blessing/Tian Guan Ci Fu) is originally a Chinese BL novel! It has different adaptations, with an animation, audio drama, a manhua/manga, and a live action. The animation is having Season 2 released in October, and the audio drama is releasing episodes right now till the 29th (episode 5 just released today). The live action is still N/A, but the manhua/manga is still ongoing
The announcement of the release date of Season 2 and the comeback of the audio drama happened on Tuesday and it just made my week so much better. A good fucking week for TGCF fans
It’s recently been my current obsession, and I just absolutely fucking love it. The guy in my pfp is one of the side characters in the novel. Starting with any of the adaptations is fine, but of course the novel has more to it than the others. The first 6 books of the English localization are available to buy online.
The novel consists of the main couple being either really awkward teenagers and an old married couple at the same time. It also has a mix of horror sprinkled in it, and lets the side characters shine with their own arcs. The main couple is between a banished god of Heaven and one of the most powerful Ghost Kings, and just their whole love story is so beautiful. I want what they have so bad
Literally look at them

For the Light Party: 🖌️ - Do they have any hobbies?
Thorsthal I would say is very into maintaining armor. Like, he picked up a bit of blacksmithing/armorsmithing as a kid and his parents thought he would go that route until he had the hero idea stuck in his head. Like he looks for a town's anvil while they travel to work on rings and stuff to maintain armor.
A'quexta is getting a stereotypical hobby of pressing flowers. But I'd like to say that she does some dope artistic stuff and presses them into glass. She gives Rowan a pane as a housewarming present when she buys her family home back.
Khaliun... is one of those silent types that doesn't really seem to be the kind to have a hobby. She might whittle, but she's going to deny being any good at it. (She'd still let little kids have her creations though.)
Thanks for the ask!

you're nice to people who are bald or balding, right? you're nice to people with high hairlines? or weird hair growth? right? you don't make mean jokes about going bald at the expense of people who are going through the very scary and usually very isolating process of losing hair?? right???

Genderfluid Julie, again! Named Jules because the name is right there!
I like to think he changes his voice a bit with the help of Sally, who calls him Julian or Julius (so Greek sounding).
Eddie and Frank are already friends with him, so they love him already, which makes the thought of friend crushes (also called “squishes”) very possible. Like when you have a close friend and you’re hanging out as usual, but you’re suddenly confused if you like them more than just a friend or if you just really like them as a person (platonic).

cheers to the future of humanity (and the future of us)
[ID: Digital illustration in color of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun. The illustration takes place during the ship/home arc, specifically chapter 21. At the center, Vash is grabbing Wolfwood by the collar and pulls him into a kiss in the middle of a celebration. The pair is colored in vibrant warm hues while their surroundings are colored in cooler colors like green and teals. Luida, Brad, Meryl, and Milly are shown amongst the crowd, occupied in the celebrations as Vash and Wolfwood share a moment by themselves at the center. END ID]

remember, good omens fandom:
the idea of a creator disappointing us isn't new.
it hurts, for sure, to realize the one who created something we love may actually be shittier than we thought. that while we trusted them to play their unknowable games ("wait and see...") they were in fact at best as flawed as anyone else and at worst a mf predator.
maybe we find it hard to trust that creator ever again.
but that's okay. because honestly, the creation doesn't belong to them anymore. it hasn't for a while.
what they created belongs to earth.

Just thinking about how Wei Wuxian's birth name means 'infant'.
When he was brought back, he was infamous, a scourge of the cultivation world. Somebody whose name brings misfortune, somebody who took away the lives of the sister who raised him and her husband. Somebody who could not repay the debts he owed to his sect for raising him.
So, MXTX making Lan wangji, the guy who's called the 'bearer of light', who is the most righteous cultivator of his generation, refer to him with the word that can be associated the most with innocence really shows how perhaps she wants us to know that Wei wuxian, at his core, is innocent and not like how the cultivation world thinks of him to be...
And while Lan Wangji referring to him with his birth name signifies their deep relationship, I'd like to think that it's his way of telling him that he believes that his action were out of goodness, and not malintent- like the rest of the cultivation world suggests.
I think it's really sweet.
Anyways, I'll shut up (for) now.
