#bad news: I woke up sick and I’m still in the time range for it to be covid from the two exposures I had within the last week and a half#good news: covid test was negative#bad news: know multiple people who didn’t text positive until several days into being sick#more bad news: this is exactly how I felt when I started with covid last time :/#I’m pretty much convinced it’s either the flu or covid with how shitty I feel#I shouldn’t be out of breath from doing one flight of stairs after being sick for not even one day#gonna retest in a few days assuming I don’t get better#I am flu levels of achy so tired I feel like im gonna fall over have chest pain a terrible cough and shortness of breath#I am not happy and I wanna slap the coworker who showed up with covid refused to wear a mask and coughed in my fucking face#this was four days ago so the incubation is about right for it to be that#I am fucking pissed#hopefully im lucky and it’s something else#but I have my doubts right now

Seeing Twitter users recommending the People Make Games documentary as a good way to get insight on the issue is so….
I know, I’m always extremely disappointed whenever I come across someone who thinks it’s the end all be all explanations regarding the Studio ZA/UM situation.
Recommending that video always comes with a heavy caveat from me that the person needs to stop around the 40 minute mark since the interviewer shows a very clear bias that’s unbecoming of a journalist.
Regardless, now that more people are finding out about these layoffs, which might take out members of the studio that have been there since the beginning, it could finally help smack some sense into those Twitter users that actually thought, FOR SOME REASON, Rostov, Kurvitz, and Hindpere were lying for shits and giggles rather than seeing what's ACTUALLY going on which is that the investors have a very obvious agenda against the real wronged party. Hopefully this'll also open their eyes to how the People Make Games video fed into this twisted narrative that Kurvitz was somehow at fault/responsible for the theft of his own IP, but that might be asking too much from their concrete brains. Here's hoping though!

the level at which people are misusing the term "Never Again" in the far left absolutely infuriates me.
"Never Again" doesn't refer to the idea of no more genocides -- unfortunately people are evil and corrupt and seek scapegoats and destruction, there were genocides in the years following the Holocaust, there were genocides 10 years ago, there are multiple genocides going on as we speak
"Never Again" means we as Jews will pay attention to the warning signs, will not mindlessly allow antisemitism to fester and take over our communities, we will fight back. it means we will be proud. it means we will not let you hate us without a word of refusal.
"Never Again" is a warning for us, it is a reminder that what happened then can happen now -- is happening now. The Far Left doesn't get to use it against us. You don't get to turn our tragedies into hate-speech and antisemitic rhetoric.

#dragon age tag#i doubt that will see much use again..but who knows. vvv rambling below#weird game..the characters dialogue stuff and ending were good tho :')#i've played some of the first game but it kept crashing. i knew already despite knowing nothing that this guy was going to be my type#it doesnt feel right making video game art any more bc games like this end up feeling really personal - an experience that happened to me#if i design the main character a bit and fall in love then..that happened to me..i can't make Fan Art of that..only ive been through that..#like i cant make fanart of my dear companions in bg3 despite it having been a huge part of my heart in the last year#almost 1000 hours of playtime in something i can barely talk about bc it means too much.... lol#tons of ideas and conversations and extra thoughts and scenes and emotions about all the incredible times i've been through in bg3#and the maelstrom just rotates around intensely in my own heart forever...but that's ok too...that is so precious to me#but fortunately i already knew people that have played this game and talked/drew abt it recently so it was saved from that for me#sharing scribbly fanart on my Blog is a way to capture the feeling just after experiencing something so it has good points#witch hat atelier escapes that by not being a GAME. games are so immersive. but my wha art & feelings are incredibly immersive too#which makes it difficult sometimes now. i live a complicated and emotional life <3 i am not suited to fandom <3#my character ended up looking so much like oru without me realising that's what i was doing. After having studied Latin for five years and ancient Greek for two years I can now confidently say I can't remember what English is 50% of the time
#i called something completely random a circumflex#and i didnt know why that was wrong for some good time#i just stared at the letter L for a bit and couldnt figure out why it looked like that#tried to write a word and half of it was in Greek characters#sometimes i just randomly say things in Latin and dont realise#then there's the problem if mixing Latin and Greek together and i never use the right letters#also it just really bothers me thag all my w's are omegas now#lingua latina#latin language#ancient greek#i doubt many people will relate to this but my friends who also study these languages think its funny#my favorite Greek word is πιπτω btw it means to fall#my favorite thing in Latin is declining nomen nominis and i have no idea why
