i just love that there's a fandom for a lot of kids shows down here. gives me more fandom lore to follow. i especially love the ones where the shows like for preschoolers and this one madman comes along and makes a whole in depth au for the show where everyone has a non canon compliant angsty backstory and stuff.

Since your Phoenix can come back from the dead, I wonder if you can draw Reginald's reaction to finding out about Phoenix's multiple deaths.
(How he finds out is up to you. But if you want an idea: Zoraxis memory reading machine upon Phoenix getting captured.)
rule number one of being a handler: never, ever panic in front of the agent. if you stay frosty, then they won’t panic either. Reginald is going to hang on to these feelings and quietly have a crisis once they’re safely back at base, where Phoenix will never know.
#we all know that Reginald’s mask only cracks when he can’t actually find the agent and he otherwise takes everything in stride#he’s actually very careful with his emotions it’s just hard to realize bc he covers it up with quips and jokes#like in First Class when he’s like “enemies have found you. good for them!”#he definitely had a mini heart attack when he found that out and was desperately trying not to show it#plus he’s a smart guy and was already suspicious bc Phoenix would do stuff before he told them to#like two days after this the implications of dying dozens of times over will suddenly hit him and he’ll start asking more questions#but yeah the initial reaction i’d guess would be shockingly tame#thanks for the ask!#i expect you to die#ieytd#agent phoenix#reginald crane#the handler#my art#trying out type for the speech bubbles bc writing it takes foreverrrrr#feel free to keep the asks coming i am so bored all the time

hate seeing art of aventurine with abs. we all know how i feel about abs as it is but like i don't think the guy who would have been malnourished for half of his life and has been passively trying to kill himself for the other is going to be a twink-shaped bodybuilder .
he's always been unhealthily thin but he never paid it any mind because hey that's just one more thing that might kill him! but after penacony, after he realizes that he's not actually as ready to die as he thought he was, learning to eat regularly and gaining weight is part of his healing process. and maybe that freaks him out at first, as would every other part of recovery, so it's slow going (as is every other part of recovery. because this is aventurine we're talking about LOL). but with time, he starts to look - and feel - brighter and more alive. are you listening to me. like

#it's hard. it's hard not liking abs or stick thin fatless bodies or sheet white skin in a hoyoverse fandom and no one understands#also going back to the fact that aventurine would have been malnourished during all of his growing years#i think that's part of the reason why he dresses in so many flashy ostentatious layers#and why he sits like the final boss of manspreading and otherwise tends to take up a lot of Space#and why when he's not being the final boss of manspreading or taking up Space his personal bubble is like 20 feet from all directions#like he has other reasons for doing all of these things but it's also probably to mask how small his figure is#that's the last thing he wants. to be seen as Small and Weak. something easy to Overpower#he'll never let anyone see him that way ever again.
