Yes, Bubby from Half-Life VR But The AI Is Self-Aware (aka HLVRAI) could kill Macbeth!

There are a couple of layers to analyze here, but he still qualifies regardless of which one you look at:

You could look at this from the angle that he is canonically an NPC inside a video game, and was therefore coded instead of born by an unknown party. This angle applies him for the Unconventional Birth Clause while leaving BPC completely ambiguous.

You could also look at this through the lens of the in-universe game's story, in which Bubby was a science experiment grown in a tube by Black Mesa, which is directly confirmed through the encounters with his "prototypes"- previous attempts to create the "Ultimate Life Form." As HLVRAI takes place in Half-Life 1, there have not yet been introduced any female scientists working at Black Mesa (later installments of the Half-Life series introduced female characters that worked at Black Mesa, but none appear or are mentioned in HLVRAI), so this angle makes the Birth Parent Clause much more plausible while still firmly applying Bubby for the Unconventional Birth Clause.

Random question, but how old is Artemis and Bubby? They're so cute!

They're both a little past two now! I found mis mis on the street when she was a kitten. All dirty and dodging cars 😱

I had her for a few months before it became clear she needed a friend as my 13 yr old lab was not interested in playing with her at all.

So a friend of ours was fostering a group of four kittens at the time. @night-market-if had already taken one of them (she named him Caliban lol) so I got his brother, the only black cat in a litter of orange babies. I named him Apollo to match Artemis but... He's definitely always been 'Bubby'. Or, Bubberton, Bubs the third, Bubbalicious, or, most commonly Bubby-get-down!

Hallo! I been wanting to said this for so long and i finally got abit of confidence to said it and i wanna said i extremely love your long road ahead fanfic. Every chapter is beautifully written. All the characters is written so realistically is just i love it alot, sun just being so afraid and have to pretend, even after reader tell them is fine, sun keep bringing back the box thinking reader gonna sent them bac is just painful. Moon also protecting sun while sun also protect moon not letting him see what happening. Both care deeply for each other even though their relationship is kinda shakey for long while. They gone through alot and need to heal which take time and i love how you demonstrate that perfectly. I adore reader's personality too and will do everything to make sun and moon life better while also theirs. Am sorry i ramble too much i just really want to thank you for taking your time to write such a amazing lovely fanfic and i hope you have awesome day and dont overstressed yourself!

Now that I have slept on it I can say for certain it's Bubby; she's been a character of mine since 2008 and was the first OC I recreated within Sims 4 back in 2022. She's got this soft super feminine girly aesthetic vibe that's somewhat aetherial at first glance but then she speaks and she's crass, ditsy and a little mean (especially to the people she cares for).
