i think Bubby from HLVRAI could kill Macbeth
Yes, Bubby from Half-Life VR But The AI Is Self-Aware (aka HLVRAI) could kill Macbeth!
There are a couple of layers to analyze here, but he still qualifies regardless of which one you look at:
You could look at this from the angle that he is canonically an NPC inside a video game, and was therefore coded instead of born by an unknown party. This angle applies him for the Unconventional Birth Clause while leaving BPC completely ambiguous.
You could also look at this through the lens of the in-universe game's story, in which Bubby was a science experiment grown in a tube by Black Mesa, which is directly confirmed through the encounters with his "prototypes"- previous attempts to create the "Ultimate Life Form." As HLVRAI takes place in Half-Life 1, there have not yet been introduced any female scientists working at Black Mesa (later installments of the Half-Life series introduced female characters that worked at Black Mesa, but none appear or are mentioned in HLVRAI), so this angle makes the Birth Parent Clause much more plausible while still firmly applying Bubby for the Unconventional Birth Clause.
Thank you for your submission!
#asks#unconventional birth clause#birth parent clause#hlvrai#half life vr ai#hlvrai bubby#doctor bubby#bubby#dr bubby#ive always wondered how this fandom says HLVRAI#like when youre saying it out loud#do you seriously just spell out all those letters? or is there a generally agreed-upon pronunciation?#i mean no matter what the answer is i will personally continue to say Hell Vray / Helve Ray

a/n: iâve been absolutely OBSESSED with this song and itching to write about ittt
i hope you enjoy
i let out a heavy sigh at his last text, before throwing my phone onto my bed.
of course i wanted to fight for us, but this was about more than just our friendship . this was about what was best for us individually.
for as long as i could remember, i always put chrisâ feelings before my own. i spent so long chasing after him, just to end up heartbroken.
i watched him constantly pick other people over me, blissfully unaware of how deeply he was wounding me.
but no matter how much i wanted to, i couldnât blame him. it was easier to point fingers at him than to accept the fact that this was partially my own fault.
i let him continue to hurt me, over and over again, never telling him what he was doing to me. and if i didnât tell him, how would he know any better ?
so, even though it killed me to act so cold and distant toward him, it was time to look out for myself for once.
i needed to take the time to love and take care of myself before expecting someone else to do so.
sure, heâd be upset for a short while, but once he got over me he would easily move on to the next girl. thatâs all i was to him, after all. just another girl.
i was pulled from my thoughts when i heard my front door open and close suddenly, followed by quick footsteps toward my room.
i waited behind my bedroom door, quick to swing my arm out in front of me when the person made it to the doorway.
i was met with chris, who immediately caught my wrist in his hand.
we stared at each other with wide eyes, neither one of us speaking. i blinked up at him, watching his eyes trail down to my lips.
âdonât do thatâ the words flew out of my mouth before i could stop them.
his eyes immediately shot back up to mine, a curious expression taking over his features.
âdonât do what?â he asked, loosening his grip on my wrist to let it slide down, intertwining our fingers.
âchris, we arenât doing this. i meant what i said earlier, weâre better off not being friendsâ
âyou keep saying that, but you wonât tell me why. you gotta talk to me babyâ he spoke.
âi donât want toâ i spoke back, shaking my head as i backed up slightly to create more distance between us.
âhow am i supposed to know what i did wrong if you donât talk to me?â
he was right, of course he was. it was unfair of me to just cut him off with no reasoning. but the second we start talking about it is the second it becomes real. i didnât want to come to terms with the fact that i was trying to end one of the most important friendships iâd ever had in my life.
âyou didnât do anything, chrisâ i answered. he wasnât having it. âno, tell me. iâm not letting you just end our friendship like this, not without a reasonâ
âi just canât be friends with youâ
âwhy? what is so wrong with me that you donât want me in your life? and completely out of nowhereâ he spoke, his voice rising slightly.
âsee, thatâs the problem. i donât want you out of my life, i want you in it forever. but you clearly donât want that, and itâs ok.â
âwho the hell said i didnât want that?â chris asked, his brows furrowing.
âchris, itâs fine. you donât have to try to make me feel better-â
âso you donât believe me?â he cut me off.
âi mean, i donât know, i justâŠâ my babbling trailed off as i tried to find the right words.
âlet me prove it to youâ he whispered as he toyed with the strap of my tank top.
my breathing grew shallow as he moved the fabric down my arm slightly, pressing his lips to my shoulder.
âchrisâŠ.we shouldnâtâ i whispered, but tilted my head to the side, allowing him more access as his lips moved up my neck.
âreally? you werenât complaining a week agoâ he spoke against my skin.
i slapped his chest lightly at that. âyeah, well we were also drunkâ
he bit down on my neck, harshly enough to leave a bruise and elicit a moan from me. âso, you donât want this?â he asked.
i let out a deep sigh, âof course i do, chris. but do you?â
he looked as though he was going to say something, but i stopped him âdonât tell me yes just because you want sex. i donât want you to just want somebody, i want you to want me. if youâre just gonna fuck me and move onto the next girl, then forget itâ i spoke.
the more i thought about it, the more i convinced myself that he didnât really want me.
âheyâ he spoke softly, cupping my jaw. âthis isnât about the sex, this isnât even about me wanting you. this is about me needing you. this is about me not being able to live without you. yes, iâve been with other girls. but thereâs a reason that youâre the only one thatâs always been thereâ
âi was so sure you didnât feel the same, so i tried to move on. but i couldnât, because none of those girls are you. and iâm so sorry that i hurt you, iâll spend the rest of my life making it up to you if i have toâ
chris looked at me as though he could cry. his blue eyes shot back and forth between my own, his thumb caressing my jaw gently.
âso make it up to meâ i whispered, pulling his lips to my own.
one of his arms smoothly slid behind my back, supporting my weight as i found it hard to keep my balance.
he kissed me like he had waited his whole life for this moment. his lips felt so soft against mine, unlike our last kiss.
this kiss made our drunken one feel sloppy and desperate, like two people who were just horny, but this was more than that. it was eye-opening, sweet, gentle, it was everything i didnât know i needed.
but chris did, he always knew what to say or do to make me happy. i couldnât stay mad at him even if i wanted to.
âlet me make you feel good?â he asked when we pulled away. âyeahâ i let out breathlessly, nodding my head.
âlay down for meâ he said, leaving another kiss to my neck. i did as he said, getting onto my bed and laying on my back.
he wasted no time in crawling over me, his hands placed on either side of my waist. âcan i?â he asked, lightly tugging at the hem of my top.
i nodded at him, lifting my upper body up as he pulled off my top. without a word, he attached his lips to my nipple while caressing the other with his hand.
i let out a loud moan at the feeling, beginning to squirm underneath him.
âshit, chrisâ i sighed out, his eyes immediately looking up at mine.
he swirled his tongue around the hardened bud, watching as my body melted into his touch.
he sucked on my tit until the skin turned dark, moving to the other to give it the same treatment.
âgod, chris. feels so goodâ i moaned out while he continued to work my sensitive nipple with his tongue.
âyou look so pretty like thisâ he rasped as he soothed my boobs with his hands, âcanât believe i have you all to myselfâ he mumbled to himself.
he moved his face downwards, leaving gentle kisses to my rib cage and abdomen. he paid special attention to every birthmark and scar he found, pressing a kiss to each one.
his fingers rubbed small circles into my skin as he ventured further and further down my body.
he stopped at the waistband of my shorts, leaving a kiss to my crotch area. due to the thin material or the shorts and my lack of underwear, my hips shot up involuntarily at the feeling.
âno underwear? such a dirty fucking girlâ he spoke, smacking his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
he licked a long stripe up my pussy through the shorts, eliciting a long whine from me. âchris, stop teasing meâ i spoke as i squirmed under him.
âyou just make it so easy, babyâ he spoke, before continuing to leave kisses down my thighs and calves.
âlift upâ he spoke as he hooked his fingers into the waistband of my shorts. i raised my hips, allowing chris to pull them off.
i let out a sigh at the feeling of my heat being exposed to the cold air of the room.
chris stared down at my glistening pussy, mouth hung open slightly as he pulled my folds apart, spreading me open.
âmy god, youâre so gorgeousâ he spoke, blowing cool air onto my heat.
âhold your legs apart for me, beautifulâ he spoke, his lips inches away from my core.
âso wetâ he mumbled before running his tongue along my thighs, just missing where i needed him.
âchris, please. i need your mouth so fucking badâ i whined. âwhere, baby?â he asked, teasing me some more.
finally having enough, i wrapped my legs around his head, pulling his face into my heat.
he let out a long moan into me, his eyes rolling back as he licked up every drop of my slick.
my head fell back at the feeling, legs loosening around him to let him pull back if needed, however he stayed right where he was.
the words that fell out of my mouth sounded like gibberish, but i didnât care about that. all i could focus on was chris.
the way he groaned into me, his needy tongue lapping me up like i was his last meal. his piercing eyes never left mine, only making the tight feeling in my stomach grow.
my arousal covered his flushed cheeks, making me even wetter.
there was something that i found so incredibly hot about how messily he was eating me out. it was like all he cared about was me finishing.
he moved his face from my legs, making me let out a whine at the loss of contact.
he stuck his tongue out, his spit dripping down onto my pussy.
âwhat do you think about when you touch yourself? â he asked suddenly while he brought his finger down to my core to rub me.
âi- ohâ i cried out in surprise at the feeling of his finger entering me.
âholy fuck, youâre so tightâ he whispered as he pushed his pointer finger in and out of my tight walls.
âoh my godâ i whimpered when he pushed another finger in.
âif you donât answer me, iâm stoppingâ he spoke.
âthis! i think about this!â i rushed out, eyes screwing shut at the feeling of his rough fingers inside of me.
âi think about how perfect your hands are. fuck- how long your fingers areâ i struggled out between moans, âi think about youâ i finished.
âyeah? what about my cock?â he asked as his fingers sped up.
âyou think about what it would feel like for me to fuck you into oblivion? â he asked as he curled his fingers, hitting my g-spot.
âfuck, yes! iâm so close chrisâ i cried out as he continued to plunge his fingers in and out of me.
âcâmon, you got it. doing so well for me, want you to make a mess all over meâ he rasped out, fingers moving rapidly inside of me.
âchris, wait! iâm gonna-â i tried to warn him, but i was too far gone as my juices shot out of me.
the liquid dripped down his face, onto the saturated sheets underneath us.
âyes, yes, fuck yesâ chris groaned as his mouth hung open. i leaned up slightly, watching the way his hips stuttered and his body shook.
âfuckâ he let out breathlessly, as he began to shudder.
âdid you just come untouched?â i asked, eyes widening slightly.
âif that doesnât prove how much i want you, nothing willâ
wait whyâd i kinda eat ??? đ€

CG: HERE IT IS: YOUR SINGLE OPPORTUNITY TO PRETEND YOU NEVER SAID THAT TO ME. I AM GOING TO FORGET YOU MADE A COMPLETE MOCKERY OF ME AND MY CULTURE THIS ONE TIME. AND LET YOU CONTINUE TO DIG YOUR STUPID, SHITTY HOLE.
CG: AND DAVE, I AM BEGGING YOU NOT TO WASTE IT.
CG: TO ANSWER YOUR SHOCKINGLY INAPPROPRIATE QUESTION, NO I HAVE NOT DONE IT.
CG: WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK.

TG: real gold star effort grabbin that lit wick and blowing on it
TG: ok first of all you asked me first so dont act like im the one being a weirdo about this
TG: second of all i didnt mean it like that and you know it
TG: THIRD of all what the hell was the point of engaging the knightly theatrics then if you cant even verify that shit
CG: WELL FUCK, SORRY DAVE! I GUESS I'M JUST A FUCKING ROMANCE ENTHUSIAST! I GUESS I GIVE A MAJOR SHIT ABOUT THE THING YOU'RE OPENLY MOCKING TO MY FACE! IS THAT SO IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO WRAP YOUR THOUGHT SPONGE AROUND?
CG: AND IT WAS COMPLETELY REASONABLE FOR ME TO ASK YOU THAT, YOU CONGEALED FETID NOOKSTAIN! MY STATUS ON THE MATTER HAS LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE POINT EITHER OF US IS TRYING TO MAKE.
CG: TRY TO KEEP YOUR NUGBONE FROM CAVING IN ON ITSELF WHEN I DROP THIS BOMBSHELL: I'M ALLOWED TO HAVE OPINIONS ON THINGS I ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT, EVEN IF I HAVEN'T DONE THEM! I DON'T JUST GO TROUNCING THE FUCK ABOUT LOBBING MY UNFOUNDED OPINIONS AT PEOPLE LIKE I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING. TG: you heard of troll napoleon complex
CG: AT LEAST I ACTUALLY FORMED MY OPINION BASED ON CAREFUL CONSIDERATION --
TG: -- oh yeah i bet huh
CG: -- INSTEAD OF JUST BANKING ON NUBJERK --
TG: -- not a real thing you just said
CG: -- REACTIONS AND WRINKLING MY SNIFF NUB AT ANY SIGNS OF GENUINE PHYSICAL INTIMACY!

TG: you cant run out of em youre like the ultimate peddler of hate
CG: YOU DON'T THINK I'M CRITICALLY AWARE OF THE HOOFBEASTSHIT I'M SPEWING NIGH FUCKING CONSTANTLY?! I AM PAINFULLY COGNIZANT OF HOW MORONIC EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS!!!!
TG: feel like ive done some damage here

Lookism: "If you die tomorrow, would you have any regrets?"
G/N. Jake, Goo, Gun, DG, Ryuhei, Sammy. Reminder that Gun is canonically a gamer lmao.
Jake looks up at you in surprise, the morbid question catching him off guard.
"Why?" he asks, tilting his head.
"It was just a question I read."
"Hmm," Jake rubs at his chin and gazes off somewhere in the distance, no doubt thinking about all that has happened in his life. "Yeah. Loads."
Oh. You weren't expecting that-
"A lot of things I've made my peace with," Jake shrugs and you know he means Sinu and Samuel and Big Deal.
The mess with Workers, the falling out with Samuel and end of the Golden Era, the arrest of so many of his crew. He knows his mom is disappointed that he is so much like his father, his time in juvie, and Jake thinks if he tried better in school instead of fighting then maybe things would have worked out a lot differently.
"But-" he tugs on your hand, pulling you off-balance and falling straight into his lap.
"I'd regret not spending more time with you. All the time trying to be a good boss rather than a good boyfriend."
You open your mouth to argue that he is a good boyfriend but he continues on-
"I'd regret leaving you on your own. Even though I know you'd find someone easily," And Jake manages a small wistful smile, "I'd regret not being there for you."
.
.
"Me?" Goo blinks, looking up from his manga.
"Yes, you. The only other person here."
"Just checking, Cupcake." Goo thinks briefly for a moment before making up his mind.
"I'll regret not seeing how this manga ends," then he narrows his eyes, stabbing angrily at the page, "And not going to Japan to hunt down this asshole for killing my fave off-screen."
"Goo!" Maybe this is on you for expecting a serious answer.
He gets up and makes his way to you, peppers kisses all over your face as you roll your eyes. "You're not planning on killing me are you, Sweetheart?"
"Yes. Tonight. There's a knife under my pillow."
"Make sure you don't wake me, do it quick," he grins mischievously then-
An unpleasant thought pops up and he pulls a face. "Once I'm dead, you better not fall in love with anyone else. My ghost will haunt you, y'know."
"Fine, I'll just be sad and alone and mourning over you forever."
"Perfect!"
But what would Goo actually regret?
What's the saying? You can't take it with you.
Goo has such fun plans once he retires from all this crew shit. Neither of you have to work another day again, you can just spend the rest of your lives terrorising the general public instead. Travelling the world, swimming in a pool of money together, sleeping on a bed of cash. All that fun stuff.
Goo doesn't regret the time amassing his fortune, his little safety net for the future. But if he was to die tomorrow, he would regret not having that future with you.
.
.
Gun pauses the video game at your question, then turns to you with a brow arched, "Why do you think I'm going to die?"
"It's hypothetical. Like in a fight or something."
An arrogant smile spreads, "And who's strong enough to kill me?"
You click your tongue in annoyance at his response although you hate to admit that damn, you find his attitude sexy as hell. There's just something about him being able to back up his confidence with his skills and talent.
"Just answer my question!"
"No I would not have any regrets," he says, already turning back and resuming his game.
Of course Gun doesn't. As if someone like him would have any regrets.
Eyes still on the screen and fingers clicking on the controller, Gun adds quietly. "But you will be taken care of."
Oh.
If Gun were to die tomorrow, he would regret not being able to take care of you. Being by your side. In his line of work, it is always a possibility no matter how strong he is. The least he could do, and has done, is make sure that at least no harm or hardships befalls you after he is gone.
Money, protection, freedom. If he can't have a future, then he will assure yours.
.
.
DG falters mid-stride, giving it the briefest of thoughts before coming to a conclusion.
"Nope," he says with a cocky smirk.
He has very little to regret. His life as DG is what most people dream of. Fame and fortune, power and influence.
As James Lee he has proven he's the strongest, he's the peak and untouchable.
There's very little left for him to accomplish. Why would he have any regrets?
But, he supposes, as he is later handled by the assistants and the stylists, then plasters on a fake smile for TV appearances before being ushered to some event full of schmoozers and fakers and having to make small talk as DG, the idol and CEO-
Is that maybe if he could do it again, he would choose something with more privacy. More freedom. That he could do what he wants, whenever he wants.
And most importantly-
That he can walk hand in hand with you down the street without rabid fans screaming and the paparazzi photos making headlines.
Without you being on the receiving end of death threats and unhinged letters, and his agent and company telling him that he needs to apologize for his relationship. Backtrack it. Single idols sells better, appeals to the public more.
If DG died tomorrow, he thinks that actually he would regret this. He regrets keeping you in the shadows.
.
.
Ryuhei doesn't hesitate and tells you he wishes you were his first. For everything.
Even hand holding. Even hugs.
You pull a face at that.
"That's... Sweet." You say, lying through your teeth as Ryuhei looks at you with concerned puppy eyes.
"You wish the same, right?"
"Sure," you agree because where's the harm in appeasing this goofball.
In truth, and Ryuhei hates thinking about it, is that he does desperately wish that he met you first. Before Mitsuki, before anyone else.
Nevermind that it's a completely futile, fanciful dream because everything that has happened has led him to you.
But he thinks it would have worked out better. He could have been a better person, a better boyfriend. If he met you before he had a chance to develop his sex pest tendencies and obsessive behaviour that you had to stamp out.
It's pointless though. Not even worth dwelling on. What has happened has happened and he could only try to be better now.
Ryuhei considers the question again with a sigh. If he dies tomorrow, what would he regret?
Oh yeah! He would absolutely regret this!
"I'd regret that we can't bang anymore!"
"Ryuhei!"
.
.
Samuel immediately feels defensive at your question.
He thinks about what he hasn't yet achieved. All his dreams of becoming King, being at the top, and yet he's no closer.
"Why?" he asks, eyes starting to narrow behind his glasses.
You hold up both palms, in a gesture to indicate you didn't mean anything by it and your face tells him to just chill.
"I dunno. I found it and thought it was an interesting question."
"It's not." Samuel says, effectively ending the conversation and eyes dipping back down to his phone.
But it doesn't just end.
Samuel spirals and doesn't talk to you for the rest of the day, his shortcomings haunting him instead.
He drinks and he smokes and he spends even more time at work, trying to dull the ache of his inferiority.
The mornings and nights pass by in a blur, a string of toxic behaviours and self sabotage, until eventually - he comes to.
His failures and faults pushed to the back of his mind, rather than a constant reminder.
Then like a fog clearing, he finds clarity again. He sees your face, the worry, the trepidation... The guilt for asking an innocent question.
And Samuel knows that his biggest regret of all if he dies tomorrow is that you deserved better and he hasn't been able to give that to you.

Steve and Gareth as Cousins, no longer a warm-up and now called Lifelines, part three! Iâll throw it up on A03 when I finish the fourth part.Â
Prior parts can be read here: Part One / Part TwoÂ
First things first, the most amazing @ sereinpetrichor managed to track down the OG Twitter thread this runaway train is based off of!Â
It was this thread by @gatorthots, the Tumblr version of which can be read, here.  All blame for this idea firmly rests on their brilliant, plot bunny inducing shoulders.Â
The other, follow up thread I mentioned was this one by Silas, whose tumblr name I do not know.Â
As always and forever, shout out to the most amazing @chalkysgarbagefireâ who helps me edit/plot/pats my head while Iâm crying in their inbox bc the words arenât wording right.Â
Warnings: Steve and Robin are canon (S3) drugged. I took a slightly (kinda sorta) more realistic approach. Vomit mention, canon threat of violence/guns (the Russian guards) Mention of pantsing/past bullying, Steve and Robinâs drugged asses not understanding personal space, Dustinâs canon...Im gonna go with assholishness? but like, I think its more than heâs a young kid and doesn't quite have the emotional growth/awareness yet in this kind of insane situation to know how to react to the whole address/torture bit (really who does)/its a defense mechanism--and Gareth sort of has a panic attack.Â
Whatever the hell they had been drugged with, Steve and Robin went from 'giggly happy fun time' to 'vomiting into toilet bowls while loudly wishing for deathâ awfully fast.Â
Gareth was not an expert on drugs. He knew Eddie wasn't either (the guy never dealt anything stronger than your average psychedelic--had some agreement with his Uncle about only selling "the 70s basics") and repeated looks towards him proved Eddie was still trying to figure out what Steve and Robin were on.Â
Answers hadn't exactly been forthcoming--Eddie's gently made attempts at ferreting out information had only caused more confusion.
Like why the two of them were so freaked out about a gate, or what had made Robin gasp, and then laugh so hard she cried when Steve had made a particularly rough noise then muttered; "Even that sounds better than Tammy Thompson."Â
Either way, Gareth was mostly trying to figure out what the hell they were going to do, because sobering up in a busy, public mall wasn't exactly the best idea.Â
"I regret," Robin tried to say, in-between gagging. "I regret--hrk--"Â
"Me too." Steve moaned, head resting against the stall wall. Gareth, still caught up in panic, had been permanently regulated to door guard while Eddie alternated between sweet talking, rubbing backs and offering quietly whispered advice.Â
"Let's go back in time and ignore the whole silver cat thing." Robin continued, slumping back down onto the floor.Â
"Wouldn't have mattered." Steve muttered. "Dustin would have figured it out without us. Kidâs too damn smart."Â
"So?" Robin grumbled, quietly thanking Eddie as he once again brushed her hair out of her face.Â
"So he would have gone down there anyway, which means I'd be down there anyway." Steve concluded. "We shouldn't have gotten you involved though."Â
He shakily pushed himself up, staggering to his feet and looking like bambi on ice while doing it.Â
Eddie quickly came round to offer his help, hands spread as Steve groaned out a curse and clutched his head. Â
The older took a step forward right as Steve lurched back, unbalanced and shaky.Â
"Oh shit." He said, eyes wide as he crashed backwards into Eddie, the latter catching him with a grunt.Â
Despite the entire situation, Gareth found himself stifling a laugh as Eddie wrapped his noodle arms around Steve's chest, trying to hold the other up without falling himself.Â
"Come on big boy, why don't we just siiiit back down." Eddie said, slightly breathless as he helped guide Steve back to the floor. "There we goâŠ"
They did so outside the bathroom stall, Eddie sinking into a kneel as Steve sort of flopped down on top of him.Â
Blinked a few times, like the drop had rattled what little sense heâd managed to recover in the last few minutes.Â
A pleased noise came out of his cousin's throat, and holy shit was Gareth going to have blackmail for life, because rather than vacate Eddie's lap, Steve just turned around in it.Â
Reached up with one finger outstretched and proved himself to be very much still under the influence as he touched Eddie's nose.
"Boop!" He said, and then giggled as Eddie dropped onto his ass in surprise.Â
Gareth watched Robin as she took the whole thing in, from Steve's snickers to Eddie's shocked expression, eyes growing wide in excitement.Â
He failed entirely to cover his own amusement when Eddie abruptly found himself with two sailors invading his personal space, each taking turns to boop his nose.Â
âUh.â He managed to get out, blinking rapidly and at a loss for words. âAh.âÂ
Steve caught the metalheadâs awkward, red-faced expression and proceeded to drop his head to Eddie's shoulder, muffling his laughter against the man's vest.Â
The helpless look his best friend sent him was one Gareth would remember for a long time.Â
âO-kay.â Eddie said, frazzled, as Steve recovered far too quickly, turning to rest his cheek against a slim shoulder as he walked two fingers up Eddieâs battle vest and towards his hair. Likewise, Robin had discovered Eddieâs wallet chain, and had begun fiddling with it.Â
One finger curled around a strand of brown hair and Eddie jerked his head, removing the tempting piece away from Steveâs hands.Â
âI know youâre used to getting whatever you want, your highness.â He said, his own hand smacking against his waist before Robin figured out the other end of his chain ended in a handcuff, âBut you of all people should know the hair is off limits.âÂ
Completely undeterred, Steve just gave him a loose, easy grin. âItâs so pretty though.â He complained, fluttering his eyelashes in a blatant attempt to try and turn on the olâ Harrington charm. âYou can touch mine if you want.âÂ
Yeah, Garethâs blackmail was getting better by the second.Â
He might even get a new piece for his drum kit out of it, if this kept up.Â
Free weed too, considering Eddieâs blush was now fire-engine red.Â
âMan,â Eddie said in a clear bid to deflect the entire situation (and Steveâs fingers) away from his hair, âthe last time someone called me pretty was right before I got pantsedâ-is Tommy H hiding in one of the stalls again?âÂ
Steve picked his head up, confusion crashing down his face.Â
âDid he do that?â He asked.Â
Then, with growing horror; âDo you think Iâd do that?âÂ
Eddie raised an eyebrow. âIsnât that your whole little courtâs M.O.?âÂ
Steve sucked in a breath, looking downright hurt. "I wouldnât do that." He insisted, eyes wheeling from Eddie to Gareth and back, as though hoping Gareth would back him up.Â
âIâm not--Iâm not friends with Tommy anymore.â Steve continued, voice growing smaller as he spoke. âIâm not friends with anybody anymore, except maybe Dustin.âÂ
It sounded so defeated; trodden on and subdued that Gareth stepped forward automatically, to do--something.Â
Provide the fucking comfort his cousin was oft denied and hug the guy.Â
As always, it turned out to be the wrong move.Â
"Oh thank god." A kid said, seconds after bulldozing through the main door and nearly bowling Gareth over in the process. "I found them!" He shouted over his shoulder as swept into the room.Â
âSpeak of the devil.â Steve said flatly, and even drugged, he managed to pull himself back together from distressed to stoic in mere seconds.Â
The curly-haired kid--Dustin apparently--stormed right up to the pile of humans splayed on the floor, hands on his hips. "What the hell. We told you two to stay put!"Â
Steve rolled his eyes as Robin booed him.Â
âHave you forgotten whatâs happening? Or how weâre kinda in a Red Dawn situation?â Dustin continued, looking like heâd just escaped from a summer camp.Â
The kid even had a walkie talkie clutched in one hand, of all things.Â
âWe know.â Steve and Robin deadpanned at once, before looking at each other; Steve pointing a finger towards Robin and Robin pointing one back.Â
This caused the kids to trade their own long suffering, âcan you believe this shitâ faces.Â
"We need to go, and the only way weâre gonna get out of here unnoticed is if we blend in with the crowd." Dustin said impatiently. âNow come on Steve, get up already, you've had worse.â
"I really don't think I have." Steve muttered, but moved to push himself to his feet anyway.Â
Eddie beat him to it, and he and Gareth both hovered nearby in case Steve was still unsteady.Â
Thankfully, the kids' presence seemed to sober up Robin and Steve both.Â
Not actually sober, that wasn't how drugs worked, but whatever was left of the fun was sucked right out of the bathroom, replaced by two teenagers who were sort of functional on whatever they'd been drugged with.Â
Stress and adrenaline, Gareth knew, could overcome a lot of things. Including Russian "truth serum" apparently.Â
âYeah well you're lucky you got found by these guys and not anyone else. " Dustin continued pointedly, before turning his attention towards Gareth and Eddie both. "Thanks for watching our friends, but we've got them from here."Â
Gareth made a sort of unhinged, disbelieving noise.Â
âNo, no you do not.â He declared, anxiety clawing at his gut at the mere thought of abandoning Steve to two children.Â
"I don't think you heard him." The girl stepped forward, braids swinging about her face as she lifted her chin and nailed him with a cold glare.Â
As if this entire situation couldnât possibly get weirder, Gareth suddenly realized she had a helmet in her hands and knee pads on.
"He said we got this. So scram." She flicked her fingers out in a dismissive sort of "shoo" gesture.
"And leave my drugged cousin with his new girlfriend behind!?" Gareth challenged right back, emotions far too raw and frayed to care he was snarling at a little girl. "I donât think so!â
"Cousin!?" Dustin bit out, sounding almost betrayed for some reason, at the same time Robin who'd been climbing to her feet with Eddieâs help, shouted; "I am not his girlfriend!"Â
Steve, clearly unwilling to entertain whatever fight was brewing, clapped his hands together.Â
"Yes cousin, Dustin. It's a type of family member." Steve said, after they all flinched and looked to him. He at least looked steadier on his feet this time, though Gareth still lingered nearby in case he took a wrong step.Â
"I know what a cousin is, Steve!" Dustin shot back.Â
âThen why are you acting like a lunatic?â Steve complained, and Gareth got to watch in real time as Steve pulled on the persona he often wore in high school down around him. âYou said it yourself, we donât have a lot of time. Worse, I don't know if anyone saw Gareth and Munson here with us.âÂ
He jerked a thumb sideways in Eddieâs direction, not that anyone couldnât figure out who âMunsonâ was.Â
âThey stay with us until weâre out of this mall.â Steve finished, before he started towards the door.
One step he was Garethâs cousin, drugged and vulnerable because of it.Â
The next he stood taller, talked smoother, took charge with an aurora that said he expected everyone to listen to him.Â
It was fake as hell, but it worked.Â
âI know youâve got a plan Dustin, so spill it.â He commanded as he walked. Â
Dustin, despite all the squawking, did just that.Â
xXxÂ
Of all the things Gareth had expected to see upon escorting their little ragtag crew out of the bathroom, groups of intimidating, mean looking assholes wasnât on the list.Â
He found himself repeatedly nudging Eddie in the ribs, unable to take his eyes off what was clearly a checkpoint as he staggered to a halt.Â
It was one thing to be told people were after Steve and the âScoopâs Troopâ As Robin had jokingly named them.Â
It was another entirely to see the security guard directly in front of him look over a womanâs ID before apologizing to her, a sleazy grin matching his oily pony-tail as he waved her on.Â
They really were looking for someone.Â
Not someone, Gareth realized in dawning horror.
Them.Â
Robin apparently, came to the same conclusion seconds later, because she snatched Steve and Dustinâs arms both, hauling them backwards.Â
âArgue about Dustinâs address later, we need to find a different way out.â She hissed quietly as she tried to slowly reversed direction, movements still a bit sloppy.Â
She might have even gotten away with it, had Sleazy Pony-Tail not turned and made eye contact with Gareth right after she spoke.Â
His eyes swept over him, then to the rest of the group, freezing like a cat that had spotted its prey.
âAbort, abort!â Dustin sputtered, wheeling about on his heel.Â
Erica, whose name Gareth had learned when she kicked him in the shin after he asked why an actual infant was running around with Steve and Robin, pointed towards the escalators before she beelined over to it, ducking into the center and riding it down like a slide.Â
Something Eddied was downright delighted to copy.Â
Gareth might have enjoyed it himself, had he not been looking over his shoulder to see not one, not two, but four security guards giving chase--and gaining.Â
âFuck, fuck, fuckikity fuck.â He heard Robin chant as she shot past, Steve planting himself at the top as he made sure everyone got down to the next level before sliding down himself.Â
"Do not let them leave!" One of the guards yelled to the others, accent clear as a bell.Â
"Holy shit that guy's actually Russian." Gareth found himself saying as he skidded across the floor and bolted after the others, Steve hot on his heels.Â
He had kinda expected the Russian thing to be some sort of drug influenced inside joke and not an actual, honest-to-God Soviet.Â
Which led to the question of why the fuck adult men in security uniforms had drugged random teenage retail workers.
Food workers.
Whatever the fuck one called a two people who scooped ice-cream in sailor costumes.Â
"There's another group up ahead!" Eddie yelped, swerving sideways and nearly taking Erica out while doing it.Â
Noise erupted ahead of them in the form of foreign shouting and loud, harshly barked commands to âFreeze!â Â
âOh hell no.â Gareth thought wildly, as he caught the form of the giant fricken gun the guard closest to him held.Â
âSplit up!â Dustin howled, and before anyone could comment about how bad an idea that was, Gareth found himself being yanked sideways.Â
Steve swore loudly behind him as Robin, whoâd crashed backwards, pulled him in the opposite direction and in a second their group broke in two. Gareth, Eddie and Dustin going one way, Steve, Robin and Erica another.Â
"This isnât happening." Gareth muttered, words made in a sort of pleading denial as he and Eddie turned the corner and immediately vaulted over the counter of an Orange Julius. âI smoked or drank or did something and this is a hallucination that is not. Actually. Happening.âÂ
Dustin at least, was smart enough to dive around the counter instead of over it, sliding towards them on his knees.Â
Eddie quickly yanked him down to the floor in-between himself and Gareth once he was close enough to grab, one hand going over the hat to shove the kids head down.Â
Annoying or not, he was at least several years younger than them, and Gareth could practically feel Eddieâs protective instinct kick in as he kept his hand on Dustinâs head.Â
Together they tried to silence their breathing as the guardsâ shouting continued on behind them.Â
What was worse than their noises though, was when they unexpectedly and suddenly, went silent.Â
Garethâs breath felt far too loud as the stillness gained a suppressive weight, pressing down harshly against him and making it harder and harder to inhale.Â
âPanic attack.â He realized, thoughts a touch detached. âYou canât afford to have a panic attack right now.âÂ
Not when it had a high chance of getting them all killed.Â
Slowly he moved his own free hand, placing it atop of Eddieâs, fingers gripping down in a way that was no doubt painful.Â
Eddie glanced over to him and Gareth thanked every single time heâd smoked way too much weed, because his best friend immediately clocked what was wrong.Â
Turned his hand over, so that Gareth could hold onto it atop Dustinâs hat.Â
It didnât help with the knowledge that his very much still drugged cousin and his equally drugged not-girlfriend were also hiding somewhere, or that there was significantly more Russians than there where terrified teenagers (and one--whatever age Erica was.)Â Â
Flashlights cut shapes into the wall overheard, trailing along the Orange Julius menu. Quiet voices covered even quieter footsteps and Gareth had the sudden realization the probability of there being more than one guard carrying a huge gun, was very, very high.Â
Worse?
This part of the mall wasnât that big. There were only so many places to hide, and as such, only so many places to look.Â
Death comes for everyone eventually, but Gareth hadnât exactly expected it to show up before he hit twenty.
Not that they could do anything but wait. Pray to God and the universe and any other higher power he could think of to intervene, head pressed hard against the wood behind him as the small noises drew nearer.
What he hadnât expected was for said prayers to get answered in the form of a of a fucking car being thrown into the Russianâs like bowling balls.Â
âRun!â Dustin shouted, and Gareth wasted absolutely no time in doing just that.Â
The only goal on his mind was to find Steve, get out, and then have a very long discussion about what the hell this all was, in that exact order.Â

Oracle!Reader Part 1
Masterlist - Part 2
A light zap of electricity made your cheek tingle, urging you awake. Sleepily, you opened your eyes and were greeted with a rundown room with no furniture. The strange sight woke you up immediately and you sat up.
What the hell? This isn't your home, fuck, this doesn't even look like somewhere in your city!
As you surveyed the surroundings with more urgency, thoughts of the day before came to mind.
----------------------------------------
You were only supposed to drop off the money from the scams to your boss. Your forte wasn't fighting yet when you entered the rundown building, there was tension in the air.
Your boss glowered at the woman across the room. Before you could even ask one of your coworkers what's happening, guns were drawn. In less than 5 seconds the building became a mess of fighting, gun shots, and noise.
Trained instincts of running kicked in and you were already slipping past brawls trying to get to the nearest exit. The money was already dropped off, your boss couldn't hold shit against you.
Just as you got close to the window, a lanky man shoved you. You only stumbled back and raised your fists. You didn't like to fight but after years of living less than legal, you've learned how to fight long enough to escape.
In 10 minutes you were already walking down the sidewalk with bloody knuckles and a bruised foot. The other guy must be worse since you threw him into the window before escaping.
It's just your luck that a police car pulls up beside you. Stopping, you flash a smile to the officer as he rolls down the window.
"Sorry to bother you so late but I noticed that you're a little hurt. Do you need me to bring you to a hospital?"
What he's really asking is what got you hurt, but you keep your cool and answer with cheeriness.
"It's really nothing. I was just at the bar down the street with a friend when some people started getting rowdy. They got kicked out before anyone could really get hurt but I still got a little banged up."
You point to the bar that you passed by that's in full swing. The officer eyes you for a moment before asking a follow-up question.
"And what about your friend? Where are they, are they okay?"
Your tone drops a little as you reply. "Their wonderful partner picked them up so I left. I mean it's not like I have any lover to pick me up. What can a poor single person like me do?"
The officer instantly becomes bored and says a quick goodbye before driving off. You roll your eyes at the predictable action and continue walking home. Lying has become a natural habit for you and you've become damn good at it.
You finally get home to your shitty studio apartment in the seedy part of the city. Locking the door, you trudge to your computer as you ignore the screams from other apartments. You boot it up and start eating the cheap fast food you picked up.
First you check on the scam ads you posted to see which poor sucker fell for it. You forward the card information to another coworker and consider yourself done with work for the day.
Were you a bad person for being a scam artist? Yeah. Did you wish that you could have a normal job that doesn't involve hurting people? Hell yeah. Have you ever been able to? Nope.
You click the little Paimon app to run Genshin to distract yourself from those meaningless thoughts. You've been stuck in those loops long enough to know it's useless to dwell on them.
The mindless commissions are just what you need to relax. You smile at the sight of Bennett's idle before farming for the most annoying materials; Handguards.
You finish combing through most of the Inazuma islands before teleporting to Seirai Island. The statue of the seven heals your party from any damage that occurred.
Leaning back in your chair, you stretched your arms, sighing as the tension is released from your body. Deciding to turn in for the night, you exit out of Genshin.
Well, you tried at least.
No matter how many times you clicked, it just wouldn't exit. Brushing it off as a bug, you just shut down the device.
Instead of shutting down, the screen showed the doors to Celestia. With no prompt, the doors opened and the white flash shined into your eyes.
Cringing at the harsh light you waited for it to stop.
It didn't.
It got brighter and brighter before it completely enveloped you.
--------------------------
Feeling more awake after remembering, you look around the house. Other than the creaky bed you were on, nothing else was in the house. You stand up and nearly trip over a bag at your feet.
Opening it, you find nothing but you decide to take it just in case. That's when you notice that your knuckles are completely healed. No blood, bandages or pain.
You check your body and see that although scars have remained, all your minor cuts and bruises have healed without a trace. Feeling creeped out you try to leave the house. The nearly broken door takes a good amount of strength to push open but you do and stumble out.
The sight of purple thundering skies, floating rocks, and a statue of the seven shocks you. You stumble on the squeaky plants and hard cobblestone as you get closer to the edge.
White trees with purple leaves, blue grass and Naku Weed surround the ground. It's the same area where you tried to log off. There was no way you were in Genshin Impact; Shit like this only happens in fiction.
Hallucination, death, dream, or pulled into a fictional world. Your mind whirls those four possibilities. You stomp on what should have been your bruised foot. It's painful, but not as much as a bruised foot.
With death and dream off the list you walk to the small tree with purple leaves. An Otogi tree, your mind helpfully supplies. You press a hand against the bark and feel the leaves carefully. The sensation is too real and you're too steady to be hallucinating.
You must really be in Tevyat. You were never attached to Earth but being suddenly thrust here is still a bit jarring. You look at the statue of the seven and contemplate your next decision.
From what you remember, anyone who isn't from Teyvat should be allowed to take elemental power from the statue. Biting your lip you approach the statue and place a hand on the gold accessories.
You marvel at how the statue glows at your presence but when you look at your hands, you feel no difference. It seems you wouldn't be a main character in this world either.
Shrugging it off, the excitement of actually being in Teyvat started to well up inside you. You walk down the desecrated dirt and cobblestone path as you admire Seirai Island.
While walking you freeze at the sight of two Fatui soldiers at a camp. You could fight people and escape, but Fatui soldiers? Fuck no. You didn't plan to die this fast.
You sneak along the houses to your left all while trying to remember Seirai's layout. If you wanted to survive in this world, you would need to get to civilization. You needed a boat cause there was no way in hell you were swimming in water that could be struck with lightning at any moment.
You follow the left path that seems to lead to the shore. Fuck, a mirror maiden is walking the same path right towards your direction. With some fast thinking and only a small dose of panic, you scale the rocks on your right.
They were thankfully small enough that your minor skills could be utilized well enough. Breathing heavily, you lay down on the soft blue grass. You close your eyes and open them swiftly at something tingly but smooth on your nose.
It's an electro Crystalfly. Purple and beautiful. You lay there mesmerized before it flies off gently. You stand up in a daze and struggle not to blindly follow it.
You walk along the cliff's edge while being careful not to fall. You can't risk going onto the grass in fear of a spector chasing you. Yet another thing that can end your new life.
Once far away enough from the mirror maiden, you slowly climb down and feel relieved at not breaking a bone. The path splits into two and you contemplate which one would lead to the Waverider.
Logically you know the chance of the waverider working for you was small, but the chance of you finding an intact boat was even smaller. Your train of thought is broken by the sounds of machines whirring from the right path.
You curse yourself and start sprinting down the left path to get away. Forgetting the existence of Ruin Sentinels almost cost you your life, but due to your panic, you almost sprinted straight into a different Ruin Sentinel.
Skidding to a stop, you hastily walk around it while sweating bullets. Thankfully it didn't notice you and you praise your good luck. You walk more alert to the waverider but stop at the teleport waypoint.
Out of simple curiosity, you touch the teleport structure. It glows similar to how it did in the game. But instead of red turning blue, the blue turned gold.
A smile forms on your face as your mind races with the possibilities that this could mean. Excitedly, you run to the waverider and touch it. Its blue turns gold and a boat is summoned onto the water.
It's not the same boat as the travelers, in fact you would even say it's better. Climbing into your boat you marvel at how much space it has. There is a small screen in the middle with a handprint.
There is no steering wheel or any other controls. You put your hand on it and say the first island that comes to mind. "Take me to Kannazuka Island."
The boat begins to move and you sit down on the couch. The whole boat feels luxurious to the point where you feel out of place; as if you're the sole piece of dirt on it.
But you don't have to be trash anymore. This world is kinder to people that couldn't finish school or can't stay in one spot. You wanted to try a normal job, maybe set up a stall or shop. Work as a normal, legal worker, or even become an adventurer. If reckless Pallas could do it, surely you could.
No more lying, no more crime.
The boat stops and you get off as you try to remember which part of the island you stopped at. There's a waverider and a teleport waypoint close together. That's on the right side of the Tatarasuna also known as the place where Kunikuzushi died and became Scaramouche.
After tapping both the waverider and teleport waypoint, you walk closer to the main part of the island. You remember farming this place for the handguards which explains why there is no Nobushi.
After passing the broken down ship part, you spot a tree with lavender melon. Excitedly and with hunger you get close and pick the lowest hanging fruit.
It's juicy and unlike any fruit you've eaten before. Which isn't a lot since fruit is expansive. You stroll down the shore as you finish the fruit.
You recognize the area on the left as a place where a quest had a fight. Walking on it you smile at seeing it in person. It's really amazing how you're actually here. And holy shit is that Ei?
The archway made of rock that leads into Tatarasune has Ei standing right there. You freeze and your breathing slows down as you try not to be noticed.
Ei was a complex character meaning that she will cause a lot of trouble for the peaceful and lawful existence you planned to live here.
As you try to walk away casually you hear her mutter something interesting.
"I could have sworn I felt their presence somewhere here."
Ei locks eyes with you making you freeze. You should greet her with her long ass title but there was no way you remembered that. Instead you give a small bow and speak politely.
"Please forgive my intrusion. I hope I haven't-"
"How dare you."
"I'm sorry wha-"
"Who are you? Which nation are you from? How dare you show such disrespect toward Their Holiness?!"
Her glare is firm and her voice grows louder. Gaping at the sudden hostility, you take a step back when she starts to pull out her Musou-no-something.
Ei's words are barely registered in your brain as you scramble for a way to escape.
"Someone with the same face as the creator is an anomaly. No one has ever been born with their face yet you, a mere human mortal, has it. I shall sacrifice you to them for impersonating the creator's image."
It's like her one track mind as a soldier has taken over Ei again. You yell the first thing that comes to mind that can help you escape while pointing behind her.
"OH MY GOD, IS THAT MAKOTO YOUR TWIN SISTER?!"
Ei freezes and immediately whips her head to look behind her. You don't hesitate to book it back to the boat.
'Just keep running, just keep running.' You sing frantically to yourself as you hear Ei chase after you. You yelp in pain when lightning starts striking your heels with every step.
She's toying with you, you realize. She wants to know how you could possibly know about her sister. She won't kill you yet but you know she won't hesitate to harm you severely.
The boat comes into view and you jump into it. The water that you splashed in, in your hurry makes your feet hurt more.
"Do you think that boat can protect you from me?"
You sit on the floor and try to think up a solution but the pain coursing through your body is hindering you. But you already know that you can't drive the boat or else she'll destroy it.
"Tell me how you know her name. How do you know her connection to me? How much more do you know about us?"
None of your regular tactics can work on her, not without risking death. You look at your lap for some kind of solution and notice your hands glowing. A small plan begins to form and instead you answer her with a distraction.
"Do you truly believe that I'm the only person alive that knows about her?"
Ei goes silent and you take advantage of the time to try to figure out what's happening with your hands. As much as you hope you gained elemental powers, you doubt that it can actually help you when an archon is trying to harm you.
You feel like spiderman as you make various hand gestures with your hands trying to figure out what the deal is with the glowing. It's the simple gesture of putting your hands together and pulling them apart that makes the glowing leave your hands and form a small screen.
"Did Celestia send you down here? Did you have a mission from them to use the Creator's form to dig up information?"
As the screen glows white and shows the Genshin Impact logo, your breath hitches. Your only hope is to let Ei draw her own conclusions from your answers as you hope your new power can help you.
"Celestia, huh? If Celestia themself took on the form of the Creator for their plans, do you think they would succeed?"
Thunder strikes louder after you say that. The logo leaves and shows the traveler on the beach in Mondstadt. You don't think about the weirdness of that before teleporting Lumine to where you are at.
"What are you implying-"
Ei's words are cut off as the sound of teleporting rings through your ears unlike the game audio has ever done before. On the screen the traveler stands next to a gold teleport waypoint with Ei nowhere to be seen. You smile at the implication.
You look out the boat and don't see Lumine there. You look back at the screen only to find it gone. You make the gesture and the screen reappears. It's only when you look away from the teleport waypoint that the screen finally loads.
Lumine is still standing next to the gold teleport waypoint. After teleporting her back to the beach you close the screen. With the Ei threat somewhat subdued, you feel safe enough to collapse on the couch.
Lazily you tell the ship to sail to Narukami Island, Ei would still come after you. Anywhere is better than your present location. An idea forms in your mind and you clarify. "Bring me to Amakane Island."
Your mind processes the information of a Creator, your resemblance, the screen, and new threats. The first step is clear as day. The little shop on Amakane Island that sells masks is your first stop.
Hello anybody that reads this. I have started another fic series. Again. There is a large chance that I'll get burnt out and not finish it. But I hope you enjoyed this. The next chapter should have what I really wanted to talk about which is Oracle!Reader.

MSBY BELOVED SETTER MIYA ATSUMU CHARGED FOR PHYSICAL ASSAULT!
he lets out a harsh groan and clicked his tongue as he read the headline for the article on the daily news website. on one hand, he's quite satisfied at the fact that they call him the beloved setter. on the other hand, what the hell!?
the news was absolute bonkers!
okay, so he was charged for physical assault and is possibly being sued for it but it's not the truth! He was innocent!
"you really messed up this time, miya" sakusa says while shutting the door of his locker in the locker room. atsumu felt his ears burning off when he said that, with furrowed eyebrows and a harsh glare, he turns to him. "don'tcha think i thought that, omi-kun?" he bites and sakusa rolls his eyes.
he quickly took off his shirt that he was currently wearing to wear his practice jersey. he lets out a harsh sigh before groaning and putting his face in his hands. "i'm in total shit right now" he sighed.
before sakusa could ruin the situation by giving him advice or saying things that he should've done, their coach walks in the locker room, making them both stand up straight with full respect.
"miya" he shudders at the way their coach called his name. without hesitating, he answers "yes, coach?" and what the coach was about to tell him was something that would ruin him.
"whaddya mean i can't play for the time bein'!?"
which led him to being on a long, long break until his case is settled and he's possibly not behind bars.
"the world is harsh, tsum. cheer up, you ain't gon end up behind bars" the voice of his brother chimes in as he's set back in reality. this has been his life for the past couple days after the news broke out.
sitting and whining at the countertop table of his brother's restaurant, dressed in hoodies and sweatpants, having to wear a cap and sunglasses everytime he goes out. he often thinks just how bad things are going for him as of now.
of course, his agency had already or currently searching for a lawyer to plead his case because he's innocent, godammit! how was he supposed to know that the person he beat up for harrassing a woman at the bar was the son of a hotshot sports company director?
his lips curl into a prominent frown at his brother's words. "or maybe ya will. only time wil' tell, nah?" his brother continues, implying that he will end up in jail and making him twitch.
"yer a piece of crap. ya ain't helpin' in the slightest!" he lets out a harsh scoff pass his lips and before he could retaliate further and call him every curse word in the urban dictionary, his brother places a plate of minced tuna rice ball in front of him. which did distract him and made his mouth water.
osamu lets out a chuckle as he gobbles it up like a starved man. osamu is just playing with him, he wouldn't want his idiot brother to end up in jail for something he did purely out of self-defense. the world is too cruel for letting something like that slide.
besides, he'd want his brother to be there for his wedding (which won't happen anytime soon)
"ya said ya didn' do anythin' wrong, right? then, calm yer ass down and just wait for yer agency ta' find a lawyer. yer ain't gonna end up in jail" he says, as a matter of factly. atsumu swallows the food in his mouth and ponders over his brother's statement.
in a way, it did comfort him even if it came from his idiot twin brother. "people think i'm a jackass now" he sighs out, taking a slow bite that represented his mundane thoughts.
"that's normal. yer already a jackass before ya got accused" osamu's words made him send a harsh glare.
truth be told, he really hopes the world will know the real story and his career will be fine.
it was a monday morning when he got a call from his coach that they found a lawyer. a real professional lawyer that is known for winning many cases. a real hotshot that's popular in the law industry, or whatever they call the department. the pure happiness he got from that was immaculate.
he immediately kicked off his blanket and ran to his shower to get ready to meet this lawyer that his agency found.
he thanked heaven that his case could possibly be resolved and everything would turn out normal!
he'd get his fame again, being able to play again, going on interviews, not having to wear the stupid disguise again!
oh how he can't wait!
until he saw who the lawyer was.
she was all too familliar. the same woman that made him wanting to pull his hair out, the same woman that drove him crazy, the same woman that made him scared of commitment.
who else but you.
he didn't know what his agency was thinking when they hired her. yeah, she was a real hotshot, has her own law firm and is extremely good in what she does but don't they know the history that they both once had? the amazing history that ended on terrible terms.
who else but his ex.
a small smirk curls up on her face, her arms crossed as she looks at him.
usually, atsumu would hate when people look down on him in that way. especially when you do it, but he can't comprehend why the hell he finds it attractive and somewhat fine.
and suddenly, all the memories came crashing down of when they dated back in high school. she's grown so much and she accomplished her dreams, he's somewhat proud? she's still as gorgeous as always, in a way that makes you wanna sigh dreamily at the sight of her and he almost actually did let out a dreamy sigh before he registered who it was.
the way her blouse hugs her body and her skirt wraps her curves, oh godâ what it does to a man as weak as him.
wait what the hell.
he can't be thinking this of her! her! (l/n) (y/n). the (y/n). the (y/n) that tore his heart and stomped on it.
"what a surprise to see you again in this way" she says in a lighthearted voice. most people would think she's being nice but he knows that she uses that voice whenever she wants to mock him.
holy shit, the one who will determine his future is his ex that ended on bad terms.
stay tuned!

Joel Miller masterlist
Joel Miller was not a kind man.
Any kindness he ever had lingering in his soul had been eradicated over twenty years spent doing whatever it took to survive after the end of the world.
It was just the way that it was. After so much loss and suffering, so much blood spilled from his own body and from those that he had not only killed, but tortured, in cruel, unimaginable waysâthere was no way that he could still manage to be soft.Â
Hell, or anybody else, for that matter. Joel was of the firm belief that nobody who had made it this far didnât have blood on their hands. In fact, it was just about the only thing he still believed in: the indisputable fact that every person in this fucked up world was just as fucked up as it was.
That was, until he met you.
When he and Ellie returned to Jackson, and she moved into the garage on his property as he settled into that large house that almost unnerved him with how quiet and peaceful it was, he was content to be a recluse in the settlement. Joel would do what he could to protect the townâhe owed Tommy that muchâbut he wouldnât go out of his way to do something as mundanely trivial as make friends.
And then you showed up on his doorstep a few days after he arrived, standing there in a faded sundress with a plate of something that smelled so tempting in some kind of peace offering he would have expected before the apocalypse, but not ever since society had crumbled down.
There was a soft smile on your face, a warmth in your eyes that had Joel completely taken aback and, fuck, he already knew he was in for it just then, before you even opened your mouth.
âYouâre Joel, right?â you said in a voice as soft as that smile, kindness oozing from every word in a way that almost made Joel start to feel uncomfortable because what was the catch?
âJoel Miller?" you tried to clarify by adding his last name when he didn't answer, but you were seemingly unfazed when he still didn't say anything as you continued, "Iâm friends with Maria and Tommy. They mentioned you had just moved in.â
You leaned back then, turning your face so you could point at the house next door, but Joel was too busy glancing over your face, searching for a sign of weariness, of deceit, trying to convince himself you were just as tired and mean and fucked up as the rest of them.
âI live next door,â you explained with the pointing before your hand went back to the plate, and you held it out further, making Joel lean back slightly. âI just wanted to come by and say, wellâŠwelcome to Jackson!â
You smiled again, almost a grin now, a cheerfulness that made Joel stiffen as his chest tightened with an unfamiliar feeling. It was one that had once been well-known in another life, before he had lost everything.Â
A feeling he had never wanted to experience again.
So he took the plate, muttering a gruff thanks as his Southern upbringingâas far away as it was nowâwouldnât let him do otherwise, even as he quickly shut the door right in your face directly afterwards.
He had expected you to linger for a moment, probably taken aback by his abrupt rudeness at your gesture of neighborly peace, so he wasnât surprised when he didnât hear your feet retreat from the other side of the door right away.
What did shock him was when you called out your name, introducing yourself even through the wall of the too damn big, too damn peaceful and quiet house before your footsteps finally did click across the porch as you left.
Click? Had you been wearing heels? He couldnât remember, but he felt a surge of something and, fuck.
Joel said nothing as he crossed through the house to the back door, heading to Ellieâs small abode to drop off what he realized from the annoyingly delicious smell was banana bread, so the girl could eat it.
She had accepted it with enthusiasm, asking him where he got it, a scarred eyebrow arching with interest as Joel merely mumbled an annoyed âneighborâ before leaving.
When preparing for bed that night, all Joel could think of was the click of a heel, the scent of freshly baked sweets, a delicate finger pointing towards a house right next door, the flare of a pale yellow dress as you turned and fuck.
Fuck, this was bad.
You were bad.
Because you were good, and he was bad.
Fuck.

Bad Boys Ride or Die (Armando x Reader): Part TWO
âMay I get three shrimp tacos with lemon water, please.â, you stated in front of the waitress. You watched as she wrote down your order. Short, middle-age white woman with light brown eyes and brown hair. She had a scar across her lip, probably from when she was a little kid.Â
âThatâs an interesting scar. If you donât mind me asking, what happened?â, you asked, examining it, allowing curiosity to win.
âOh this scar was from when I was a kid. Fell off a bike and landed in a ditch filled with branches full speed. Thank God I didnât die.â, she laughed looking at you and then turning her attention to Marcus and Mike.
âYou two are here all the time. Same orders?â
âYes maâam.â, they replied in unison
âOkay, I'll bring your drinks shortly.â, she replied, leaving and heading to the back.
You watched as she left, examining the restaurant and families that were enjoying themselves. You mustâve been staring too long because when you shifted your eyes back at Marcus and Mike, they were already staring at you.
âWhat is your problem?â, Marcus laughed, staring at you as if he had just seen something suspicious.
âWhat do you mean?â, you replied, straightening your posture.
âI mean, youâre always staring at people. People who always stare at others tend to be some crazy motherfuckers, I read that in the newspaper.â
âNow where the hell did you read that at Marcus, because it sounds like youâre just pulling that out of your ass.â, Mike scoffed looking at him with pure disgust.
âLook, I'm just saying.â
âWell..you donât think it's odd that you invited a âcrazy motherfuckerâ out to have lunch with you and Mike.â, you mocked leaning into the table.Â
âI like to observe people, so sorry if thatâs a problem.â, you continued
âItâs fine, but anywaysâŠyou should tell us a little about yourself.âMike suggested grabbing the drinks from the waitress and passing them out. âWeâve been around each other for a while now and you havenât told us much about yourself.â, he continued.
âPay.â, you pointed while holding up a drink. Theyâre already getting on your nerves so they might as well pay for your lunch.
âOf course..he will.â, Marcus answered while side-eyeing Mike.Â
                 âReallyâŠâ
âWhat, youâre the one that was born rich, might as well take advantage of it.â, he laughed, shrugging his shoulders and then turning his attention to you.
You looked down at your drink and then back at them. You werenât comfortable with sharing things when it comes to yourself. You never genuinely know people nowadays, no matter how long youâve known them.
âWhat do you want to know?â you asked, looking at Mike.
âWhere are you from? Are with anyone-â
âHow many people have you killed?â
âHow am I supposed to know that?â, you asked confusingly. You sometimes wondered about them. Were they special? Maybe sexually frustrated? You wanted to figure out a way to flip the conversation onto both of them.
âWe asked because weâve had several huge moments where we had to kill A LOT of people. Two of them being drug lords and their crews, and one of them being a part of the cartel.â, Marcus continued, turning his attention to Mike.
âYeah, I had several head shotsâŠbodies were thrown everywhere. We even nearly died.â, Mike added as if he was reliving through the whole operation again.
âWhat about your son?â, you asked, turning your attention to Mike. âIâm sorry if this is too personal but remembering how he had shot you that night and being the reason Captain isnât here anymore. How are you taking that?â, you continued taking a quick glance at the waitress that was heading towards your table.
âI think about him everyday. Knowing that I missed out on watching him grow up and the kind of relationship that I had with his mother. Even though she didnât know that I was an undercover cop and me not knowing that she was pregnant. Itâs hard to think about.â, Mike explained, grabbing his plate while smiling at the waitress as a âthank youâ gesture.
âHe had a baby with a cartel witch bitch. Can you believe that!âMarcus yelled excitedly. âGotta be the freakiest shit youâve ever done.â, he continued laughing while patting Mike on his back.Â
Mike was in his head, you could tell. Although he was rubbing the back of his neck and had a slight grin on his face, you could see that the whole situation between him and his son bothered him. Especially knowing that he may spend life in prison or be on death row because of him.
âYeah, I heard about it a little after the operation ended. Everyone was talking about it.â, you replied, taking a bite into your taco. It was creamy and very good. You could taste the shrimp, onions and lemons that were in it.
âYeah, Armando is one strong son of a bitch.â
âHell, heâs just like you. Ignorant and have one big ass ego. I could tell when he had helped you lift me up when I almost fell into that fire.â, Marcus laughed, shoving his food into his face. You could see crumbs fall onto his t-shirt.
âSo thatâs his nameâŠArman-â, before you could finish your sentence, you were interrupted by Marcus' phone going off.
âItâs the wife calling, hold on.â, he said, picking up his phone and answering.
You and Mike continued eating until you noticed a shift in Marcusâs voice, causing the both of you to look up at him. You didnât know what was going on but you knew that something wasnât right.
âMarcusâŠâ, Mike whispered looking at you and then back at him. You didnât want to say anything because you knew that at some point the conversation would end. You looked around to see if anything was odd with the place, however everything seemed to be normal. You watched as Marcus hung up the phone and looked at you and Mike with a worried and concerned look on his face.
âWhat is it?âyou asked, throwing your hands up in a, âhurry-up-and-answerâ manner.Â
âCaptain. The news.â, Marcus answered, looking at both you and Mike for a response.
âCaptain, huh?â
âYeah, whatâs going on?â, you asked moving your food to the side to lean towards Marcus in confusion.Â
What the hell does âCaptainâ mean? And what does he have to do with the news?
âWe have to figure out a way to turn on the tv up there.â, he replied pointing at the television that was hanging on the wall.
All three of you guys moved your head and scanned around the restaurant to see if you could catch a workerâs attention. Eventually a worker saw one of you guys and was asked if he could put the news on. Although the waiter was only gone for a couple seconds. The silence made it feel like forever. A word wasnât said, but the conversation that was happening through our eyes was saying everything underneath the sun.
Mike took a deep sigh and you all turned around to face the TV to see what was going on. It was about Captain Howard. He was being framed for smuggling millions of dollars and for working with the Cartel. You watched and you listened. Your breaths felt hitched and the tension in the air became thick as the reporter showed a picture of Captain Howard. Even though the picture of him was nice, the words that were being said about him weren't. It felt like betrayal and you could tell through Mikeâs body language that was what he felt.
âHoward wouldnât have done that ... .not smuggle money nor be a part of any connections with the Cartel.â, Mike whispered, turning back around to face you and Marcus. You were silent until you remembered the meeting that was happening this morning.
âThe meetingâŠthis morning. That is what the meeting was about!â
âMeeting?âMike questioned confusingly.
âRemember when we first walked into the station this morning. The cop told us about the meeting that was happening, rememberâŠ!â, you explained getting up.
You watched as Marcus and Mike face lit up, confirming that they remembered the conversation between you and the cop. After having to leave lunch early due to finding out the situation with Captain Howard, you rushed back to the station to find everyone standing around talking about the news. Marcus and Mike never said a word but through their energy, you could feel it. Each step that you three took felt heavy and the hallway felt like it was getting longer every stride. Once you reached the door, you opened it and allowed Marcus and Mike to walk in first.
âWHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!âMike angrily yelled making his way through the room.
You could tell that everyone that was sitting was timid, except one guy. The table looked way clearer than earlier and the tension that was in the room this morning, left.Â
âIâm sure youâve heard about the news, Mike.â, the guy at the head of the table said.
âHellâŠThe whole damn world did.â, Marcus scoffed looking at you. You looked back at him in pure confusion. You felt that what Marcus said was true but was wondering why no one was answering Mikeâs question.
âNo seriously, what is going on? Why is Howard on the news?â, you asked walking towards the guy at the head of the table.
âWeâve found evidence of your former Captain Conrad Howard smuggling millions of dollars while working with the cartel.â, the guy explained, holding up a folder and pointing at a drive filled with âevidenceâ.
âWE ALL KNOW THATâS BULLSHIT! I MEAN C'MON, THE MAN IS DEAD!âMike yelled looking back at you, then Marcus and then the guy.
You stood there in disbelief. What kind of evidence did they have on Howard? What was âgoing onâ behind closed doors? Millions of questions started going through your head, that you felt needed to be answered. You felt the need to say something however you know that this will be more personal for Mike and Marcus rather than you.
âI meanâŠcâmon RitaâŠyou believe this?âMike sighed, turning to look at Rita while walking towards her for answers. Rita took Captain Howard's place once he was killed. A Hispanic woman who stands around 5 '6, who can be mean if she has to,and knows how to take charge without being easily influenced. However the way it looks now, you felt differently. You watched as Rita got up and walked towards Mike.
âSeriously Rita. Itâs obvious that our Captain is being framed.â, Marcus added, looking at Rita. You could tell that Mike wanted Rita to side with him, he was searching her face for an answer but hell even from a mile away, you could tell what she was about to say.
âLook, I am your friend. But I am your boss before I am your friend and I have to still do my job.â, She explained looking at Marcus, then at Mike. She took a quick glance at you, and in return you examined her up and down.Â
âAnd my job is to always do my job regardless of my beliefs. So I will go through with the FBI and the charges, I'm sorry but the evidence is clear.â, she continued crossing her arms and then turning her back to go sit down.
âWhat happened to âInnocent until proven guilty "?" Marcus asked, looking around the room, no one answered.
âThis is bullshit and you all know it. Captain is being framed and weâre going to prove it.â, Mike replied in disgust while looking at every face in the room.
âAnd if he is innocentâŠWe will clear his name.â, the guy replied, sitting back down.
âMike lets go.â, Marcus whispered.Â
You knew that Mike was hurting by what had just occurred. Someone that he loved was killed and now being framed for a crime that he didnât do. You, Marcus and Mike turned around to walk out when you noticed a woman walking in.Â
âYou have a lot of nerves.â, the woman said with a mug on her face.
âLook Judy, I loved your dad. Marcus and I can prove that heâs innocentâŠtrust me.âMike pleaded, towering over her.
You watched as pure hatred filled her eyes. She looked at Mike as if he had just spit in her face and slapped her.
âTRUST YOU?! YOUâRE THE REASON THAT HEâS DEAD! YOU AND THAT FUCKING BASTARD SON OF YOURS!âshe yelled, straightening her back while pointing at him.
âLookâŠJudy.â, Mike whispered, trying to calm her down. It was obvious she was on a different planet, she was filled with pain but this gave her no reason to be this cold towards him. Especially after the fact that she was just at his wedding.
âNO! You look.â, she demanded, shaking her head in disapproval.Â
âIf I see your sonâŠWhen I see your son. I will kill him. And I mean it, I will make him pay. This is my state and I run it, I will make sure that heâs dead and thatâs a promise.â, she whispered, tilting her head to read Mikeâs face.
âMike, câmon.â, you whispered, grabbing his hand while guiding him out.
âYou give us a chance, we will show you that Captain was innocent.â, Marcus demanded before shutting the door.
You were standing outside of the room between Mike and Marcus. Beyond the shockness, there was hurt and betrayal from all ends. The people in that room knew who Captain Howard was. He was a leader. One minute he would cuss you out but in the same breath give you advice. He was always there. You met him before you met the boys and although it wasnât very long until he died after you met him; the moments you spent with him made it feel like forever.
You could tell that they were on the verge of tears, which was understandable but you also knew that time was ticking before they tried to frame the Captain that the three of you both knew.
âLook, I know this has to be extremely hard to endure. Knowing that the three of you were close and I canât change that. I will never be able to and Iâm not trying to.â, you explained turning around to face Mike and Marcus.
âBut.. If you allow me to help you guys out, I can for sure play a role in proving his innocence.â, you continued pulling out your phone to show them your call logs.
âConnections, already?âMarcus laughed, grabbing it.
âAllow me to help, Iâm not as ânewâ as the both of you guys think.â, you smiled, grabbing your phone back and putting it into your pocket.
It was a short silence before Mike agreed and Marcus followed suit.Â
âWe will need to go visit the prison first.â, Mike replied looking at Marcus and then back at you.
âFor what?âMarcus replied, looking at Mike for answers.
âArmando. Heâll be able to help.â
Youâve heard of the stories about how they like to run their operations, "Russian Roulette Styleâ. Pulling the trigger until it bangs, especially now knowing that you have to go see Armando, who youâve never met before nor know much about with his history of crimes. However, with whatâs at stake now, Howard being framed and the kind of support that Marcus and Mike needs, Russian roulette it is.

it's not just a game - yoon jeonghan
word count: 1.2k words
warnings: mentions of alcohol
pairings: yoon jeonghan x afab reader
genre: friends to lovers, fluff, a hint of angst
a/n: this has not been proofread so i apologise if there's some mistakes. also, its been a little while since i posted zzzz
check out my masterlist! // hannie's m.list
jeonghan's povÂ
the bottle spun and landed on me. ''truth or dare?'' as soon as the words left seungcheol's mouth, i knew i was utterly screwed, especially with that stupid sly smirk on his face. it didn't matter what i picked because i know, with both options, the boys would stir some shit up one way or another.
just to be clear, i am in no way a willing participant in this game, especially not when all of us are either drunk and tipsy. but of course, who am i to say no when seungcheol suggested this game earlier to y/n and she just had to drag me by my hand and ask me to play together. it's just a game hannie, don't be such a scaredy caaat
am i going to admit that i am scared? no. but am i scared? beyond that, i am terrified, mortified. why? because 30 minutes prior to y/n arriving at our flat, i had just been talking to seungcheol and joshua about her. after specifically telling them both that i dont think im ready to confess yet because as much as i hate to admit it, i become a stuttering mess in front of her. and i hate it because that's not me. that's not who i am. i am yoon jeonghan. i am confident! i don't get nervous. i don't get shy. ever. so why am i like this in front of her?
ââhurry up, handsome. you're taking too long.ââ she whined; pulling my heartstrings. ââdare.ââ i said without putting much thought into it. ââwho do you think is the most attractive person here?ââ soonyoung asked.Â
ââmyself of course.ââÂ
ââaside from yourself, dumbass.ââ vernon laughed.
ââim older than you! watch it.ââ i said jokingly as i punched his arm lightly.
ââso? who is it?ââ seungcheol continued probing.Â
ââi'd rather take the penalty shot than answer this stupid question.ââ
ââok fine, take the shot then.ââ joshua said dejectedly.
i poured myself a shot and lifted it to my lips, but before i downed it, ââcome on guys, technically, he did answer the question.ââ y/n came to my defense. I immediately put the shot glass back on the floor. ââexactly. i did technically answer your question.ââÂ
âyeah you did except, we're playing truth or dare and you weren't telling the truth. soooâŠâŠpenalty shot.ââ vernon bit back. i gave him a tight-lipped smile and down the penalty shot in surrender.
this time, the bottle landed on soonyoung. ââalright, truth or dare buddy?ââ joshua asked soonyoung. ââmhmmâŠdare.ââ
ââi dare you to give y/n a kiss on the cheek'â seungcheol said with a laugh. a kiss?????????? on the cheek???????? oh hell. ââwhat kind of stupid game is this?? you guys didn't even ask her. what if she doesn't want that??ââ i challenged.
ââdo you not want to y/n? if you don't, its really fine, jeonghan is right.ââ joshua said.
ââi don't mind it. come on hannie, it's just a game.ââ she said as she looked at me with those eyes. if i didnât know any better, i would have thought that it was those eyes of adoration..like..she feels something for me too. my breath hitched for a moment. but i do know better; lightweight y/n is just tipsy, maybe a little drunk. those eyes didnât mean anything at all.Â
and with that, soonyoung turns to his side and gave her a peck on her cheek, it felt agonizingly long, that is, until she looks up me while soonyoung still has his lips on her cheek. im conflicted. half of me feelsâŠ..feels jealousy. the other half of me feels..lightâŠlike im floating almost. ââs-soonyoung ah, thats enough.ââ i couldn't stand seeing it anymore.Â
ââcome on, lets stop this. its already 230am.ââ i suggested.Â
ââlets just play one more round and then we'll call it a night.ââ vernon tried accommodating.
ââoh yes! one more round! please hannie! i havenâ't had this much fun in such a long time.ââ how could i ever say no?
this time, the bottle landed on y/n. ââdare or dare y/n?ââ soonyoung asked. ââwhat do you mean dare or dare?ââ she pouted as she asked.
ââcome on, it's the last round of the night. lets make it fun! go with a dare please!ââ soonyoung asked her as he clasped his hands together; begging her with his puppy dog eyes. ââokay fine lets go with dare.ââ she answered as she patted soonyoung's head. no, i am not jealous.
ââkissâŠâŠjeonghan hyung.ââ my eyes grew big as the words left soonyoung's mouth. is he crazy? has he lost his mind? my eyes glanced over to y/n slowly, trying to gauge her reaction. i watched as her eyes grew wide for a second before it turned into a smile. ââhannie, do you mind?ââ she asked me gently, as if gauging my reaction as well. ââi..i mind of course. what kind of friends kiss each other?ââ i said nervously as i picked up the penalty shot and downed it, handing the empty shot glass to her. ââhere. i took the penalty shot for you. game over, let's all go to bed now.ââ i got up as soon as she took the shot glass from me. i'll try to erase the image of her frowning when i got up.
âây/n'â i said as i entered my room and beelined for my closet. i turned around to make sure she was listening, but instead, i found her following me around like a hurt little lost puppy that's been kicked aside. frowning a little, i said ââyou can take my bed, iâll sleep on the couch tonight.ââÂ
ââokay.ââ she said softly.
ââwhats wrong?ââ
âânothingâs wrong.ââ
ââsomething is clearly bothering you. what's wrong?ââ
at that, she hesitates for awhile before she broke the silence. ââis kissing me really that bad?ââ
ââno but we are friends! we can't kiss. that would be inappropriate and weird.ââ i tried to clarify, though i know this didnât make things any better.
ââwell do we have to be just friends?ââ
ââwhat are you-'â
ââkiss me hannie'â
ââyou don't know what you're asking of me, y/n.ââ
ââi do. i know what im asking of you so please. unless you really don't want to and the thought of kissing me disgusts you then i-''
i don't know what came over me but before i could register anything at all, i found my hand in her hair and the other on the side of her neck, guiding her to me. no, i did not shut her up with a kiss but my lips are brushing against hers. she's so close i can feel her breath hitching, i felt the beating of her heart speed up as i leaned down to press my lips on hers. i felt her hand come up to my side and fisted my shirt as if holding herself back from giving more into the kiss.
i pulled away slowly to look her in the eyes. the emotions swirling behind them were the same as she one the gave me earlier. ââit's not just a game is it hannie?ââ she asked as she looked down. i lifted her chin for her to look back at me, ââitâs not just a game, y/n.ââÂ

Bait and Switch. || Scammer!Reader x Victim!Ghost
Rating: M Words:Â 2.6K~ Pairing: scammer!Reader x victim(but not really)!Ghost CW: phone scams/conning (reader never actually cons him), financial issues?, threats (Simon threatens to find reader), degradation?. other tags: crack, OOC Simon., you/your pronouns (gn!reader but uses a female fake name), obviously fake names (pun/funny), lying, joking, the weirdest meet cute? a/n: this started out as a joke/crack and turned serious/dark at the end? idk how i did this.
Simon Riley would say that being legally dead is the best thing to have happened to him and that's because it allowed him to escape a bunch of responsibilities that regular men have to uphold.
He gets paid covertly, in full, and does not have to pay taxes on his income.
He rented a flat from a sweet ol' lady, who didn't run a background check or ask for a copy of his birth certificate (terrible choice on her part), and he pays her by dropping an envelope of cash in her mailbox on the 1st of every of the month.
He not only is old enough to drink but also sounds and looks old enough as well, which means he doesn't need I.D. to buy alcohol (not that any shops or bars really care enough to check).
He doesn't have a credit card. Or a debit card for that matter. Hell, he doesn't even have a bank account, so he doesn't have to pay maintenance fees.
He doesn't have a smartphone. And up until recently he only had a pager. In fact, the only reason he doesn't have a pager anymore is because it got shot in the crossfire during a mission... so Price forced him to get a jitterbug.
In short... Simon Riley can escape a lot of things (death, taxes, Philip Graves...). But telemarketers and phone scammers are not one of those things.
That's how, on a boring Wednesday afternoon, his new phone ends up ringing, like it had been doing multiple times a week for the last four weeks.
Telemarketers.
He never got telemarketers on his pager.
He hated telemarketers.
But that didn't mean he blocked them-
"What?" He answered as soon as he picked up the phone.
An automated voice came over the call, one of those typical Siri-esque robot voices, delivering a prepared speech: "Congratulations! You've won a free cruise to the Bahamas! To claim your prize, press 1."
Oh, now, this was different. He didn't need to hear more to know it was a scam call. But that didn't mean he was going to hang up.
So Simon pressed key 1, which caused a beep to sound over the call.
"Thank you!" The automated voice continued. "We are now connecting you to a live operator to claim your prize!"
Barely a millisecond went by before you took over the call. "Good afternoon, this is Stella Gormoni with Blissful Blessings Inc.! Who am I speaking with?"
As stereotypical as it is, Simon had expected a different voice on the other end of the line... maybe from a scammer in a foreign country who'd speak heavily-accented English...
But instead, he got a sweet and professional sounding person... It almost made him second-guess the scam that was being pulled on him.
His mind moved quick at coming up with a fake name. Not just a fake one, but a pun one too. "Wanh'a, first name Aiden." He replied, his gruff voice reverberating on the call.
"And how do you spell that?" You asked him politely, and, through your headset, he could hear your keyboard keys clacking in the background.
"That's A-I-D-E-N." He replied as he entered his kitchen, spelling his first, as if that was somehow what was causing you difficulty.
"Uh-huh!" You acknowledged in a peppy tone. "And... your surname?" You asked him.
"W-A-N-H-'-A." He continued spelling as he crossed the small kitchen, hearing your fingers tapping away at your keyboard in his ear.
For a moment, you didn't talk, as if stunned into silence. Had you just picked up on the fact he was trolling you by giving you a name that, phonetically, sounded like 'I Don't Wanna'? Probably. But you hadn't hung up yet.
"Well, congratulations, Mr. Wanh'a, you just won an all-inclusive, two-week long cruise to the Bahamas!" Your peppy tone made him bite his lip to contain a laugh. Well, at least you were dedicated in continuing the scam. "How are you feeling?"
"Very well, and yourself?" Simon asked casually as he leaned himself against the door of his refrigerator, leaning down to look inside and find a snack.
"I'm doing very well, thank you, sir." You replied in a cheerful tone. "So, let's process the information so we can get you your prize, shall we?" You announced in a polite tone.
"Go right on ahead, sweet'eart." He murmured as he grabbed a yogurt and closed the fridge with his hip, sitting at the table and peeling open the lid.
"Well, for us to start, I'm going to need your-"
"Actually, I have a question, before we start." Simon interrupted your speech, cutting off your silver-tongued lies.
You went silent for just a moment before you replied with a sweet little: "Of course, what can I help you with, Mr. Wanh'a?"
"I want to know how exactly I signed up to receive this prize." Simon replied before he placed a spoonful of yogurt in his mouth.
He was trying to accomplish two things by doing this: 1) throw you off your game and make you stammer and stutter, and 2) see how long it took for you to get annoyed, and hang up on him.
"Well, that's what I was going to explain, you see-" You replied, a smile behind your voice, but his trained ears could pick up the slight frustration. It made Simon smile.
"Oh, then, I'm sorry for interrupting you, sweet'art, please go ahead." He replied and gestured with his spoon, as if giving you the stage, unnecessarily so, because you were not there to watch it.
"As I was saying... You were entered automatically into the draw by buying a cereal box of any Kellog's cereal at Tesco. I'm sure you saw a 'Win a free cruise!' sticker on yours?" You asked in a professional and sickly-sweet tone.
He could see right through your scam, he had already done that. You name a famous brand, one people trust, to trick naive or impressionable ones into believing you...
Normal people would tell you they no longer have the cereal box, many of them naive enough to believe your scam despite the fact they hadn't even bought one of those boxes in the first place...
Next, you'd ask for the card used to make the purchase, and some people were dumb enough to read their number aloud to you...
Oh, how he hated scammers. Even more than telemarketers.
"I do remember seeing something like that..." He murmured, his voice deepening, before he popped another spoonful of yogurt past his lips, loudly smacking them right against the receiver of his jitterbug.
"Well, all I need is for you to get the box and read me the code that's imprinted on the inside of the flap!" You announced.
"Well, you see, I would, sweet'art... But my sight isn't so good anymore..." Simon replied. "I'm getting up there in age, you know?" He continued eating his yogurt.
"I understand, sir." You replied. "I'm sorry to hear that. One of my cousins also started losing his vision pretty early." You announced.
Huh.
There was no hint of forced sympathy in your voice.
No, you were being genuine. That was a real story of your life you were telling him...
But you had picked up on the fact he was trolling you, right? So why were you-
"Good thing though, about this system of ours, is that you can just confirm your credit card details so we can double check them and get you that prize!" You had, your tone right back to the scamming silver-tongue you had held until now.
Secretly, Simon had to admit that he admired your commitment to the bit. He couldn't help but smile a bit, amused.
"Oh, of course. Let me just set you down while I get my card." Simon replied and got up, finishing his yogurt and tossing out the plastic container, popping the spoon into the sink, and, after setting down his phone, he walked out of the room.
Simon glanced down at his wrist watch, noting the time on it, then, approached his bedroom door, grabbing his over-the-door pull-up bars, and began doing a quick set, leaving you to 'wait' for him in the kitchen.
After a few sets, he waltzed back into the kitchen and grabbed his phone again. "You still there, da'lin'?" He beckoned in a gruff tone.
You sighed, your politeness sounding slightly more forced. He had kept you waiting for over ten minutes after all. "Yes, sir, I am. Did you get your card, Mr. Wanh'a?"
"Oh, please, enough of this 'sir' thing, Mr. Wanh'a was my mother." He replied, then went silent for just a beat, almost like he could hear your frustration sizzling on he other end.
He was being more and more obvious with his trolling... And it pleased him immensely to imagine a parasite like you seething on the other end of the line, reaching your wits' end.
"You can just call me 'Ai', it's what my friends call me." Simon continued, a smirk forming on his lips. "And we're friends now, right? You're giving me a cruise and everythin'." He added, his tone just as charismatic and peppy as his had been.
"I guess we are!" You replied, returning the overly cheery tone. "So, 'Ai Wanh'a', then?" You asked, but he could hear the mix of frustration and amusement behind your voice.
"Yeah? What d'you want, babygirl?" Simon asked, unable to resist making a more impish remark. And, unfortunately, it had the desired result. It genuinely caused your brain to blue-screen for a moment.
Sure, you'd experienced plenty of people getting angry at you when you attempt to scam them, or even trolling you the same way this bloke was doing but...
It was definitely a first, to have someone flirt with you, even if it was still part of his trolling attempt.
"Your... credit card details?" You ended up adding, your voice still showing the surprise and light meekness that came from him catching you off-guard.
"Oh, of course. Are you ready? It's a very complex number." He replied.
"Ready when you are." You added as you steeled yourself for another smartass response or run around from him.
"Here it is: 1234-5678-9987-6543." He replied, reciting the numbers 1-9 in order and then backward. "And the three digits on the back are: 210."
Oh, he was so fucking annoying! He didn't get to troll you, even if it was pretty amusing of him to do so, then flirt with you, then go back to trolling.
"Sir, if you're not interested in the cruise, just say so. There's no need for this mockery." You replied, your tone serious and professional though you were definitely seething on the inside.
Simon could tell. And he reveled in it. "Oh, but I am interested!" He replied with a smirk behind his voice. "In fact, I want to know more. Will my cabin in the cruise have an ocean view?"
Simon heard you inhale aggressively on the other side of the line, steeling yourself not to hang up on him, or down right berating him on the phone. "Yes, Ai, of course!" He heard your fake cheeriness through your clenched teeth. "It'll be a luxury cabin, actually. Isn't that great?"
"No, it's not that great, actually. I get very seasick, you see?" Simon murmured. "Not to mention, ever since my pet goldfish died, I've just never been able to look at the ocean the same..." He added in a forced pitiful tone.
You went quiet again on the other side and Simon knew he had finally worn you out. He waited to hear the clicking sound of the call falling, but, instead, he just heard you let out a sigh.
"You're very frustrating." You murmured.
"Oh, my, is this how you speak to all your prize winners?" Simon gasped dramatically.
"Shut up... You didn't have to be a smartass, you know?!" You scolded him, as if you had any ground to stand on.
"No, I fear I did, sweet'art." Simon replied as he leaned casually against the kitchen counter. "You called me, interrupted my day, and wasted my time with a scam, of all things. I have every right to be a smartass and have some fun with it." He added, a smug tone obvious in the dulcets of his deep voice.
"Okay? You could've just hung up on me?" You were truly grasping at straws to justify your behaviour. It was comical.
Simon laughed dryly. "And waste an opportunity to annoy a parasitic leech like you?" He quipped.
That stunned you into silence for a moment and you couldn't help but pout a bit.
"Not to mention, what you're doing is illegal, you know that righ'? And I'm military, I could get you arrested for this." He added.
"For that, you'd need to know where I am." You retorted, maybe a bit bratilly. "Besides, I knew you were a soldier."
"And how did you know that?"
"You used the NATO phonetic alphabet while spelling 'your' name'." You replied directly. "Nobody spells 'Aiden' as 'Alpha-India-Delta-Echo-November'."
"So you knew I was military and you still went ahead with your little scam attempt? You're not that bright, are you?" He defied you, which earned him a scoff from your end.
"No, I already knew you were trolling me."
"Oh, so you just wanted to waste my time?"
"That's exactly it, Aiden."
"Sounds to me like you're just looking for trouble, da'lin'." He quipped, his voice having lowered to a gruffer tone.
Rolling your eyes, you scoffed. "Am not. I'm just enjoying myself. You're not the only one that can make jokes at people's expenses."
"No, you really are..." He tutted his tongue and shook his head. "Need I remind you you were trying to scam me, and other people?" He added in a tone that sent a shiver down your spine.
"I know what I was doing."
"Yeah? And are you proud of that? Proud of being a conniving little cunt who tries to take people's hard-earned money?" He taunted you.
You didn't reply. Of course you weren't proud. You still had a conscience! But you wouldn't tell him that. He wouldn't get the satisfaction of hearing you apologise.
"I see. You don't like what I'm saying, so you give me the silent treatment, is that it, sweet'art?" He teased. You could hear the smirk behind his words.
"I wonder if you'd still act like this if you had to face me and had to answer for yourself."
Closing your fists tight, you steel yourself again to gain some edge and reply to him. "I guess you're going to keep wondering then. Because it's not happening."
"You know, it's a shame your little computer spat out my phone number for you to call..." He trailed off.
"And why's that?"
"Because instead of anyone else, you got me... And that's just... really bad luck for you. Any other service member, you would've been fine..." He trailed off.
"What, are you some sort of General-Major-Chief thing, super high up the ladder?" You taunted.
Simon simply chuckled dryly on the other side of the line. "No. But I'm definitely the worst person you could've tried to play with."
"Oh, big scary man, what are you gonna do? Gonna come teach me a lesson?" You added, taunting him some more, clearly feeling comfortable behind your laptop, with your smartphone, sitting at home, comfortable and warm, with your pet at your feet. "Oh, I'm so scared!" You added, feigning fear in a dramatic tone.
"Is that a challenge I'm hearing, sweet'art? Inviting me to come pay you a visit?" Simon asked you, his brow cocking, despite the fact you couldn't see it.
You don't know what it was about the way he spoke. The way he said that. The way his voice sounded.
It sent a shiver down your spine, a cold sweat, like he was, for the first time, not joking around anymore.
"No...?" You murmured in reply, feeling your shoulders tensing in an unpleasant way.
"Yeah... That's an invite I'm hearing..." He disregarded what you said and chuckled. "Maybe I'll come pay you a visit then, hey? How does that sound, little leech?"

itoshi brothers reaction to their little sister wearing a different jersey and supporting someone else đ
anon ur mind⊠should i make this into a series đ 100 milestone special
can you imagine the reaction of both brothers when they see you lounging around the house with a jersey thatâs not from their respective teams?
sae never misses the chance to give you a jersey from his matches. he always makes sures to get two of the same jerseys no matter what. sae would never admit this though. when he gives you his jerseys, he just tells you itâs an old one but itâs a lie. he has his own sitting in his luggage, gym bag, you name it, itâs there. he personally got one for you cause you were his sister after all
rin on the other hand is the same but he only gives you hand me downs such as the blue lock one. if rin grows out of a jersey, you bet that said jersey will end up in your hands
so just imagine the look on their faces when youâre lounging at the couch, wearing a jersey from a team theyâre not even in on.
sae is visibly pissed. you can tell by the way his eyes are more narrowed than usual and has his infamous bitch face on that he only makes when there were press around him.
rin is not as pissed like sae but heâs just wondering who owns that jersey. he only gets mad when he tries to connect the dots or something and ended up assuming isagi or someone from blue lock gave it to you behind his back (he already had a talk with his blue lock mates that they should not breathe, touch, or be even in the vicinity as you when youâre around or theyâre gonna get âitâ from him)
both brothers sit at each side of you and you can tell the atmosphere in the living room has shifted. i mean, itâs not like youâre used to it at this point but, what gives bros?
sae scans you from the bottom to the top with a face you canât quite pinpoint. was he mad? was he disgusted? whatâs he thinking? you canât tell. you turn your head to rin for some help but he had the same face on.
was there something on your face?
âif you guys are just gonna be breathing heavily next to me and not say a word then iâm just gonna leaveâ you raise a brow at your two (idiotic) brothers. to which they only reply with them clicking their tongues and some grumbles under their breaths.
sae was the first one to break the ice
âwhoâs jersey is that?â sae frowns. like a deep frown. was this mf really THAT petty over a jersey?
you looked down at the shirt you were wearing and it was from bastard mĂŒnchen.
âoh, itâs bastard mĂŒnchen merch. this is kaiserâs jersey if iâm not mistakenâ you explain, even turning around to show sae the number on your back. when you return back to your original position, sae looked like you just dropped the biggest bomb on him and he didnât like it one bit. he instantly gets all over your face, basically interrogating you on why you would waste the hard earned money he gave you to buy another jersey that isnât from real madrid (hc that he gives you allowance đ)
âwhy the fuck would you even buy from bastard mĂŒnchen? is real madridâs merchandise not enough? is the quality shit? hold on, iâm gonna have to tell the managers about this. just why y/n. WHYâ
sae almost goes into a complete mental breakdown. over you wearing some teamâs merch instead of his own team, real madrid
âand it had to be kaiserâs number tooâ
âwhatâs so bad with kaiser?â
sae doesnât answer directly but continues to bitch about kaiser and bastard mĂŒnchen specifically. mumbling about something you canât quite understand
you look at your other brother, rin. just to like check if you two were looking at the same thing, sae literally pacing around the living room with his arms crossed and his hands rolled up into a fists but all you see is rin concentrating really hard that was outright sweating and you can see prominent veins on the sides of his head
âthat damn isagiâŠâ you hear rin murmur beside you. oh hell nah, not rin too.
ârin-nii..?â
âhave you been talking to isagi? how do you even know about bastard mĂŒnchen? does this mean youâve been talking to isagi behind my back? why didnât you buy pxgâs instead?â
another set of questions (more like interrogation) comes rolling in.
at this point you are already feeling like youâre going insane with your brothers acting like it was the end of the world.
âguys.. i literally watch blue lock tv. of course i fucking know about bastard mĂŒnchen!â you curse
both brothers stop their idiocy and both turn to you with stern faces, together they go,
âNO FUCKING CURSINGâ

drabble req? :) would love to see some astarion working on comforting or patching up tav/reader â thereâs a lot of hurt/comfort in the other direction out there but soft!astarion is so cute :â) love your work btw! <3
Astarion x GN! Reader drabble (695 words)
SFW, Astarion POV, third person POV, Fluff, shitty pep talks (which I am also not great at,) no patching up but it's kinda cute anyway. A touch of jealous Gale
----
âAstarion,â Gale began, the human always tiptoeing around him since the beginning. âCould youâŠâ He shook his head, the man looking unsure with his next words. âCould you check in on Tav?â
Astarion sighed and closed his book, his eyes flicking to the fireplace where Tav sat alone and poked at the fire. âAnd just why would I do that?â
âLook,â Gale clenched his teeth together, looking over his shoulder to where Tav sat before looking to Astarion once more. âThey obviously have feeling for youââ
âHah! Well that's no surprise. After all, no one can deny my charmsââ
âAnd you obviously have feelings for them.â Galeâs tone was firm, his eyes harsh as he glared back at the vampire, a tint of jealousy swimming beneath it.
Astarion tossed his book into his tent, his arms coming to cross over his chest as he glared right back at Gale. âAnd so what if I do?!â Now he swung his hands in front of himself, gesturing past Gale and to where Tav still sat. âWhat the hell do you expect me to do!? Go over there and tell them everything is going to be okay?! That all of the evil in the world will never get to them because Iâll protect them from it?! That these fucking tadpoles in our brains mean no harm and that weâll all live happily ever after?!â
âYes,â Gale replied. âThat is exactly what I expect you to do.â
Astarion dropped his arms to his sides, pouting at Galeâs answer. He sighed. âFine!â
Shoving past Gale he made his way to Tav, rubbing his now injured shoulder. He may have overreacted just a tiny bit, but the way Gale stumbled from his shoulder check was worth it.
âHello, Tav,â Astarion sat down beside them without an invitation.
âHey.â They gave Astarion a small smile but turned their attention back to the fire.
âI think itâs best if weâre just honest with one another here,â Astarion said with a shrug. âBeing friends and all.â
Tav only hummed in reply.
For a moment Astarion let his facade drop. Usually Tav would be eager to chat with him, truly, about anything and everything. To see them pay more attention to the fire than his gorgeous selfâ something really was wrong.
âWhatâs wrong, Tav? Tadpole hosting a private party in your skull?â
Tav snorted, another smile gracing Astarion and giving his heart a little flutter knowing that he managed to earn a real smile from them. âEverything?â Tav answered. âJust⊠everything.â
âWell-â
âAnd you donât have to tell me that weâll live happily ever after.â
âLook at you! Eavesdropping on a private conversation? Iâm so proud.â
They didnât reply this time, just focusing on the flames as they danced in front of them, burning down the pile of wood and sparking as Tav added another log.
âNo, things wonât end happily ever after,â Astarion broke the silence as he spoke, his voice soft. âI think that much was obvious the moment we were abducted by fucking mind flayers.â
âSome pep talkââ
âGive me a moment, Iâm not accustomed to cheering a person up!â
Tav laughed, but gestured for Astation to continue. âOkay, sorry.â
âApology accepted.â Astarion bumped their arm into Tavâs. âNow, where was Iââ
âHappily ever after, or lack thereof.â
âRight, our eventual demise.â
âAstarionââ
âLook, Iâm not good at this, clearly. Weâre all bound to die some day, but itâs how we spend our days before the end that matters. You canât give into these feelings of darkness that haunt you, the urge to give up when things get tough. Iâm here for you, everyone in this strange camp of weirdos is here for youâ and if youâre hurting all you have to do is say something and weâll do what we can. Shitty pep talks included.â
Tav nodded and tossed their stick into the fire, no longer playing with the flames that beckoned them. âIâm hurting.â
âI know, darling,â Astarion said and put his arm over their shoulder, pulling them closer. âI canât change the world, all I can do is be here for you⊠and I hope itâs enough.â

@thylightbringer inquired;
Itâs been nearly two weeks since that⊠conversation in Michaelâs room and Lucifer still reeled from it whenever he thought about it. When heâd first appeared back at the palace there had been a lot of screaming and hellfire from him, heâd startled his PA whoâd been sorting more of his paperwork. Lucifer barely remembers having to fix the floor where heâd smashed it with his fists, but eventually heâd dragged himself to his room and curled up under his softest blanket while nearly strangling his duck plush.
Now he was back at the hotel, unable to keep away and continue to worry Charlie. Her messages had gotten progressively more and more concerned after the three day mark. While Lucifer had done his best to avoid his brother when heâd returned, he knew that he couldnât avoid him forever. As mad and upset as he was to learn what he had⊠Itâs always been difficult for him to stay mad at Michael.
Hence why he was⊠once again in front of Michaelâs door with a basket of fruits, mostly apples, waiting for his brother to answer after heâd knocked.
âMichael⊠I know youâre in there. I just want to talk,â Lucifer called out, adjusting his hold on the basket a little.
The reaction that he had gotten for what he told Lucifer felt⊠extreme. To be quite frank, the reason that he had never told him, was for him. Who wants to tell their twin brother that everyone he knew and loved voted to kill him? Especially⊠especially right after everything that had happened. Why continue to beat him that hard down when he had already fallen so much? Why make things hurt more when he could paint a different picture? If it made Michael the enemy, as it had, then at least that was one person throw so much of his anger and hatred on rather than every other Archangel in the clouds.Â
Lucifer had loved Gabriel, he had coddled Zadkiel, he had laughed and danced with Raphael. Why make things worse than they already were, saying those people wanted him dead. The thing he believed was true, that Michael was just being as cruel as possible, was so much kinder in the end.Â
   Merciful.Â
Why did the truth matter that much, why does the reason he chained him to Hell really matter when it doesnât change the outcome? When the facts are still the same? What Michael did, he did. There is no undoing that. There is no taking it back. There is no changing history that has already etched itself in place. He did it and that was what Lucifer should be mad at, not the fact he kept the reason he did it from him. Heâs making a mountain out of a molehill. Getting angry over the wrong thing. Blowing this out of proportion. He canât even say he entirely sees why Lucifer is mad in the first place.Â
Itâs been almost a week since things had blown up. Michael has continued his research, done what he wanted to, and moved on from the conversation. That does not mean he wants to talk to Lucifer. Apparently it wasnât a choice he was getting though. The room has remained unchanged since the King of Hell was last in here, the suitcase was still on the bed, the blue and gold colors were still present. He hasnât slept, he hasnât unpacked, the paperwork on the desk has just grown.Â
And there is an insistent knocking on the door.
Sighing tiredly he shook his head at the scroll he was reading and raised his hand up to rub at his eyes, trying to work some energy back into himself to deal with this.Â
Instead of getting up to answer the door, he calls out to his brother. âWhat do you want, Lucifer?âÂ

Just a ring.
Summary - âhe has asked me to marry him but I had to come here first. I need to know if you feel anything⊠anything at all for me.â
Pairing - Theodore Nott x reader; Male OC x reader.
Word count - 2150.
Warnings - infidelity, flashbacks in italics, grown up theo & reader.
Cursive words made their way across the document as he led the pen from left to right, every movement a study in perfection. A famous business wizard like Theodore Nott who hailed from a high class pure blood family, couldn't afford anything less than perfection. He pursed his lips as he focused on getting his signature just right, reading the already typed composition. Mergers, especially one as important as this one needed to be dealt with utmost care, and a very carefully crafted âbrown nosingâ letter never hurt anyone.
He was feeling very pleased with his efforts when a loud noise from outside his office startled him. Throwing an angry glare towards the closed door, he cursed the person who disturbed him.
âYou can't go in there Miss. He's very busy.â His secretary's voice reached his ears. âTo hell with his schedule. I don't care.â The other voice responded sharply and he knew who that other person was. He mentally prepared himself for the upcoming drama, tiredly rubbing his eyes.
âI'm sorry Mr. Nott, thisâthis Woman refused to make an appointment. Should I escort her out?â
Theodore eyed the girl in front of him; she stared back defiantly, challenging him. He wouldn't throw her out but that didn't mean that he couldn't make her sweat. The young woman in front of him started to fidget nervously the longer Theodore kept staring at her without a word. âIt's okay Riya. You're excused.â The woman heaved a sigh of relief at his words.
Theodore turned to her and said coldly. âNow, to what do I owe the pleasure? What is it, [Y/L/N]? Say your piece and spare me. I am too busy to hear your rambling right now.â
[Y/N] scoffed, wrapping her arms around herself as if she was trying to protect herself from his coldness. âWow. So you can speak more than three words at a time and just my luck that you use them to dismiss me. â[Y/L/N]â, âmy pieceâ... You are so intolerable Theodore.â
âThen why are you here, love?â He retorted flippantly but her next words made him stop his work.
âHe knowsâŠâ
âWho knows what, [Y/N]?â
âAlex⊠he found your waistcoat under the bed⊠the one you forgot to put on because of some âimportantâ business.â She confessed, her voice shaky. She paused and then opened her mouth to continue, her voice cracking. âHe didn't even ask who it belonged to. He said that it didn't matter. He blamed himself, you knowâŠFor being gone so often.â
Theodore kept staring at the papers on his desk, completely still. He didn't know what kind of response she was expecting but his mind went blank. He was about to say something when she dropped the final bomb. âHe has asked me to marry him.â
Her eyes finally rose up from the floor. He could feel her willing him to look back at her; willing him to show any emotion. But the man kept staring at his desk, forcing himself to pick up the document and continue his letter.
âI haven't answered him yet.â She admitted, âI had to come here first. I had to see you, but you've been avoiding me and⊠I just need to know if you feel anything, anything at all for me.â She waited for him to respond, waited for any sign from him but he was as cold as ice and just as frozen as he signed his name at the end of his letter.
He continued his work robotically and took a breath only after hearing her footsteps shuffling closer to the door. âI meant what I said that night⊠I still do.â She whispered and then she was gone, missing the look that crossed his face.
After crying her heart out, [Y/N] kept staring at the end of the room blankly, her mind still stuck on everything that has happened in her life recently. âI am stronger than this.â She whispered to herself. Her head fell against the back of the couch, and she curled a leg up beside her, wrapping her arms around it as she glanced out the window.
It never should have happened, she knew that now, but she still couldn't bring herself to regret that it had. It had all started about six months ago, she and Alex had been having a lot of arguments around that time.
âYou promised!â She raised her voice, fed up with his attitude.
âI know babe but this is urgent.â Alex said softly, trying to pacify her but it made her angrier instead.
âFine. Go wherever you want to. Do whatever you want. But I am not going to keep changing my plans according to you every time. I am going to attend the Christmas Eve party⊠with or without you.â
âNo. You can't do that [Y/N]. What will they say? My reputation will be thrashed.â
âOh I can and I will. If you care about your âreputationâ then come to the event with me.â She asked one last time but only got a shake of head in return as Alex took his briefcase and apparated.
There at the party, [Y/N] found herself in the company of none other than Theodore Nott, one of the Slytherin guys from a year above her. She had never interacted with him outside of the classes. Though she didn't trust him, she couldn't disagree that the man was charming. A few drinks later, she found herself up against a wall in one of the vast deserted hallways, moaning and thoroughly enjoying herself with a man that most definitely was not her boyfriend. That was how it all started.
Secret correspondence and casual meetings followed. Every time she would receive one of his notes or calls, she would hesitate and every time she gave in. She couldn't stop herself; he made her feel passionate, naughty, and desirable. It was everything she never felt with Alex thus she became addicted.
Over time, their pattern seemed to change. It started with simple words after they were intimate and soon she found herself spending nights in his house. It went to a point where she would see Alex maybe once in two or three weeks for a date and spend almost every other day with Theodore.
After sometime she realized that her feelings for the two men had begun to change. Theodore had become her confidant and lover. On the other hand she found herself forgetting about the dates with Alex, arriving late when he called her, zoning out when he talked to her. She was figuring out what to do when the unexpected happened.
They were lying in his bed, quietly content after a night full of activity when her lips, engaged by a sleepy mind, betrayed her. âI think⊠I love you.â Time froze. In one swift movement, her lover had stood from the bed and had placed his robe around his shoulders, apparating away.
She remembered how she had sat there; hurt and humiliated beyond belief. It had taken all the strength and courage that she could muster to get dressed and leave that night. That was two weeks ago.
Truth to be told, when Alex had found Theodore's waistcoat under her bed, she felt relieved. Everything would be out in the open, she could move on but once again reality turned out to be quite different than her thoughts. Alex opened up to her about his behaviour and promised to work less, be with her more and that he wanted to marry her. Before she could blink, he was down on his knee, proposing to her.
âI⊠I need time, Alex.â
Now here she was, lamenting unrequited love and cursing her fate.
A week later -
[Y/N] pushed open the door of her flat with a tired sigh. She tossed her shoes into their space in her coat closet with one hand as she released the clip that held her hair with the other. Moving towards the kitchen cabinet, she uncorked the wine bottle and took a sip directly from the bottle.
âLong day?â A deep voice asked her.
She turned on her feet and observed the man in front of her. Theodore was sitting on the couch as if he owned the place. âWhat. Do. You. Want?â She asked slowly, proud of the bitterness in her voice. âTheodoreâŠâ
He didn't verbally respond; calling her to him with a gesture of his hands. She wanted to shout at him but she couldn't. He made her weak. He reached up with his fingers for her left hand, his thumb brushing over the plain gold band that sat there.
âI'm engagedâŠâ She tried to stop the teasing fingertips from continuing their journey of exploring her body.
âWell⊠you're not married yet. It's just a ring.â He whispered, holding her face to make her look at him. She felt the pads of his fingertips gripping the ring on her third finger and slowly sliding it off. A metallic clink resonated in her ears as the ring fell to the floor.
The fight drained out of her as she sunk into her lover's arms. Her knees folding under her as his lips joined with hers. She knew that this night would be their final goodbye.
âWhere is your engagement ring?â
âI⊠I must have forgotten it.â
âForgotten it? On the night of our engagement party?â Alex questioned incredulously. They were interrupted by some other guests and they easily fell into the conversation, saving [Y/N] from trying to come up with more lies.
âHow are you doing, Codnor?â Another voice interrupted the couple. Alex cursed seeing the person who disturbed his conversation with his fiancĂše.
âHow did you even enter, Nott? This is an invitation only party so kindly leave before I kick you out.â
Theodore smirked, raising his closed fist over [Y/N]'s glass of champagne. One by one he uncurled his fingers, dropping something small and shiny. Alex had a look of confusion and shock on his features as he realized that in the glass was [Y/N]'s engagement ring.
âI know I wasn't invited, Codnor, but I am here to collect what's mine⊠don't look so shocked. She hasn't been yours for a while.â
Before she could think, Alex punched Theodore, hard⊠and a fight started between the two. Alex's parents changed the topic and sent the guests on their way to save their image of respectful people. It wasn't until [Y/N] physically pulled Theodore back that he stopped. Even though Alex was almost as tall as Theodore, he was no match for his muscles and strength.
âWhen did this⊠this thing start? Tell me everything, [Y/N]⊠honestly this time.â Alex pleaded.
âSix months ago. I was angry at you and I know it is wrong but⊠when I did go to the party, alone, no one paid any attention to me. Didn't even greet me with a simple âhelloâ. I felt as though I was only someone if I was with you. I felt so worthless. Theodore was at the party. He annoyed me and I took my anger out on him⊠I don't know how but the next thing I remember is kissing him; one thing lead to another and here we are⊠I am sorry Alex. I don't deserve you.â
Alex scoffed. He left immediately after throwing the ring down. His mouth did not say a word but his eyes conveyed the anger and disgust he was feeling at her.
[Y/N] turned to Theodore. âWell. It was a long day. Thank you for ruining my engagement party. Now I think we should go.â She stood from her chair but Theodore pulled her back by her wrist, making her sit on his lap. âWhat is it?â She asked him.
âYou asked me that day, if I feel anything at all for you. The answer is, I don't. I feel everything for you, Miss [Y/N] [Y/L/N].â He said cupping her face in his hands and pressed his lips on hers.
She smiled in their kiss knowing for sure that the man whom she gave her heart to would do everything in his power to keep her safe and happy now that he finally realised what she meant to him.
THE END.
Note - i have written a Tommy Shelby version of this one, you can find it here if you are interested. I thought this one screams âTheoâ so why not make a Theo version too.

the set up â rafe cameron; part eight
đđđșđșđźđżđ: you've been one of the pogues since childhood, and your loyalty has always lied within your friend group, who is practically your family. when a threat by the name of rafe cameron begins to threaten the pogue's plans, they assign you to gain the trust of the dubious kook and keep an eye on what he's up to. however, now it's been six months since your friends set you up to spy on the kook prince himself, but what you didn't anticipate was to fall head over heels for the boy. your relationship had soon become inviolable shortly after your guys' first exchanges, much to your friends' dismay, and you two became practically inseperable. that was, until rafe discovers the truth.
warnings: swearing, mature themes, angst, sad-ish rafe, smut (minors DO NOT INTERACT, 18+)
author's note: this one is to (hopefully) make up for having to cut the last chapter short due to personal stuff. enjoy my loves
You were pissed at JJ.
Matter of fact, it was much more than that; you loathed him. He was supposed to be your best friend, your confidant, yet he was too caught up within his fit of jealousy to realize that your time with Rafe Cameron was merely an act for the sake of your friends' livelihood. Hell, if anyone knew that it should have been JJ considering he was half of the reason the whole scheme was conspired in the first place.
You wondered what his real problem was and where it came from, considering that he had never treated you like less than until you brought up going to Midsummers with Rafe. From internal dialogue, you demanded answers and to know what had him so affronted. Out of all people, you assumed that he would have your back through the entire plan, however he was doing quite the opposite.
"I can't fucking believe him. I mean - Who does he think he is?" You remonstrated, a scowl tainting your facial features ever so palpably.
"Relax princess," Rafe let out a soft partly suppressed laugh, "how does he have you this riled up in the first place?"
Despite your indignation, you froze at his question. You knew that you couldn't flat out tell him the real reason why you and JJ got into it, for obvious reasons, so what was the next best option? Lie.
"He told me I was spending too much time with Pope and got mad at me." You blurted out before you could actually think about what you were really saying. You avoided eye contact with Rafe in hopes that he wouldn't find any evidence of deception in your expression, opting to completely circumvent his observing gaze by shifting your body away from him while you blankly stared out the car window.
"Pope? I don't think I ever see you with him unless JJ is around too." His brows furrowed.
"I mean I am close with him kind of," you added, "I used to study with him all the time after school, cause he's like a genius or whatever. But it wasn't like that. Pope's too innocent." You shrugged, your words spewing from your lips with little to no thought as your only goal was to steer the boy away from any suspicion of you.
"Are you sure it's nothing more than that?
Your eyes widened in disbelief as your head snapped towards Rafe's direction while he continued to drive, "Are you serious?" You catechized in a state of dubiety.
"Just wondering." The sandy-haired boy stated as though he asked nothing wrong, which only seemed to set you off more on top of your prior situation at hand.
"For your information, no it's not more than that, and two, why do you care?" You folded your arms in your seat as you turned to face Rafe with intent to interrogate him on his unappreciated inquisitiveness.
"Don't ask questions you already know the answer to." He glanced over at you with a suggestive look written on his face and in his eyes that sent shivers down your spine and planted those same old butterflies in your stomach.
"Well, I did ask." You pestered in hopes it would provoke some sort of reaction out of him, which seemed to be easy for you to do.
"I just don't think you deserve to settle for some Pogue dude who can't come close to giving you a real future." Rafe kept his eyes pointed straight ahead onto the road in front of him as he spoke, making you wonder if he just havering or not.
"And what, you can?" You scoffed.
"I would." He declared in a way that implied to you that he was more than sure of himself and what exactly he was promising to you, although it seemed rather delusive and improbable to happen.
"Yeah. I'm sure you tell every girl that." You heaved a displeased sigh to yourself as you slouched back into your seat, refusing to believe that the Rafe Cameron, the Kook Prince himself, would genuinely be the type to go out of his way to make the effort for any woman, unless he was trying to sleep with her.
"You really have no faith in me, pretty girl." Rafe breathed out a half-hearted chuckle at your lack of credence in his word, however he must have taken some amusement in your incredulity judging by the way his continual smirk stayed present on his face.
"Shut up, Cameron. Just take me home."
"I have a better idea, first." He replied, his lips curling up into a suppressed thin-lip smile.
"Great. Now I'm being kidnapped too." You rolled your eyes once more, rubbing your forehead in distress.
"It's not kidnapping if you willingly got in my car, y/n."
"It's kidnapping if you're taking me places I didn't agree to go to!" You protested, flailing your hands in the air at him, which of course only earned you a chuckle on his part.
"Would you rather me take you back to JJ?" Rafe threatened flippantly as the car suddenly pulled into yet another empty parking lot. Typical.
"Would have rathered you take me home but whatever." You mumbled to yourself with your arms still folded over your chest as you peered up from your seat to observe your new surroundings, which deemed foreign to you.
"Rafe- Why are we at another parking lot? You know you're really not clever with your date ide-"
"Just trust me." Rafe shushed as he turned the car off and exited, only to meet you at the passenger side door to open it for you as he had done previously. Sure it was an almost banal thing of him to do, but you had to admit that part of you enjoyed his acts of courtesy.
You remained hesitant with him, however your curiosity was a much greater component in you decision making that had led you to following him anyways. You treaded closely behind him as he headed into the direction of a purportedly seclusive area of a place that appeared to lead to a beach, judging by the way that sand had come into your view. You fumbled through a small patch of dead trees as you made your way to a wide open shore with an absence of debris that beaches you had seen normally had.
"This is where I usually go to get away." Rafe suddenly confessed while he took in the scenic view ahead of him.
"So this is the spot you take all your hookups to. Nice." You nodded with your lips pressed together, confused as to why you were even there in the first place.
"You're so stubborn, you know that?" He rolled his eyes, sighing as he sat down on an individual log that rested in the sand.
"So I've been told."
"Just come sit with me." Rafe gingerly pleaded to you while he combed a hand through his straight locks that displayed blends of wheaty and brown undertones, combining to create a dimensional shade of dirty blond that was unique to his features, "Please?"
You wanted to resist his request initially and continue your usual back-and-forth banter that the two of you always kept up with, however you saw something different in Rafe's eyes when he asked you to sit with him. A new candor that had washed over him that had you obeying his call.
Both of you had sat besides each other for a few minutes, basking in each other's silence as the sounds of the distant waves crashed upon the shore harmoniously. You kept your gaze directly at the view of the ocean ahead, your fingers interlocked under your knees while you sat with your legs up to your chest as you took in the scenery around you. Although your vision was aimed at the oceanfront, you could feel the burning stare of those familiar azure eyes trained onto you, causing your body temperature to rise rapidly.
"I came here a lot when I was younger." Rafe broke the silence abruptly, causing you to snap your head in his direction with your brows furrowed in confusion. "To get away from my parents when they were fighting, and sometimes from Sarah." He continued on, a quiet dry laugh escaping his rosy-pink lips.
"Why did you need to get away from them?" You asked rather lowly, scared to say the wrong thing in such an earnest moment.
The blond sighed deeply in response as his eyes began to scan the area ahead of him intently before he spoke. "They fought a lot, my mom and dad. Sometimes to the point where I thought they were going to kill each other," his nose wrinkled as a display of discomfort, "but I was the oldest so everyone expected me to protect Sarah and Wheezie when things got bad like that, and I did. Every single time. But, what I think they failed to realize was that it was just as uneasy for me to witness as it was them. I didn't wanna see or hear them fight either, but I had no choice. I needed to get away from it at some point, so I started coming here."
Your lips formed into a significant frown as he spoke, taking in his shattering words and that cold look that casted over his face that you knew was only to cover up from the pain he felt reliving the events he was describing. You would have never guessed there was so much hiding beneath that posh demeanor of his, however you felt as though there was more that had yet to be said.
"Did they ever notice when you'd run away like that?" You asked sheepishly.
"Nobody noticed when I was gone. They were only concerned when they needed me for something again." Your heart began to break piece-by-piece as Rafe's revelations had began to unfold slowly. The tragedy in what he was telling you was beginning to make your throat swell as tears threatened your eyes, asking yourself how a family could be so cruel to one of their own, a scenario you were quite familiar with yourself.
"It only ended once they finally got divorced and my mother ran away back to her hometown," Rafe seemed to wince at the statement, scratching the back of his head to mask his reaction, "I never saw or heard from her again after that. Honestly I couldn't tell you if she was alive or dead right now, crazy as it sounds."
You pressed your lips together into a thin line once they began to quiver as you digested Rafe's story. You forced yourself to look away from him and focus your attention to your hands that fiddled in your lap, knowing that if you looked at him any longer you would surely lose your composure.
"Rafe.. I-I'm so sorry." You breathed out quietly, a weakness in your voice that made him turn his head to observe the state that you were in. It was safe to say that he was staring at you once again, considering the intensity of his glare could be felt from miles away, but you refused to look up and reveal to him how much distress the detailed account of his previous life had put you in.
"My experience isn't quite the same as yours, but I understand your pain, Rafe. In a sense, I do." You uttered with your eyes glued to the sand below your feet.
"What do you mean?" Rafe asked, watching you keenly as you spoke.
"My family is pretty fucked up, too. Not in the same exact way as yours may be, but still, fucked." You let out a dry laugh, kicking the sand between your toes away from you, "My mother is verbally abusive and neglectful, and my dad is just, barely ever home. Sometimes I wonder if it's because he's trying to get away from her, although I wouldn't blame him for that, but I needed him many times in my life and he was never there. Plenty of times she was saying these God awful things to me, tearing me down for most of my life, and the one person who was supposed to be there to protect me just... Wasn't." You shook your head as it hung low to the ground, fighting off the urge to cry that overcame you as you recalled the burning memory of your childhood.
"It's not my place to speak on what they went through, but JJ and John B came from homes similar to mine. Absent, hell even abusive if that's what you wanna call it, parents. We basically raised ourselves, I mean we still are essentially. At times I would think that I still don't know any better than that nine year old girl who wondered how she was going to make it in life given the circumstances she was put into. Part of me will always resent my parents for doing this to me." Your voice cracked as you spoke, a queasy feeling building up in your stomach as you basically bared your soul to some boy from Figure Eight.
"Hey," Rafe cooed as he placed his large hand ontop of your thigh, "just because you were dealt with a bad hand growing up doesn't mean you are subjected to a bad life, y/n. They can't determine how far you're going to go, and you'll sure as hell get a lot farther than them I'm sure."
"Rafe," you shooked your head at him as you quickly wiped a single tear that escaped your eye, "I live on the Cut. I'd have to work two jobs to even come close to being comfortable, and even then, it still wouldn't be enough to get by long term. I have to work ten times harder than anyone else on this island because of the situation I was born into, the family I was born into. It'll be a hassle for the rest of my life. I don't get to live in a mansion and own some fancy yacht because my dad has the money, I wasn't given that privilege in life."
Your words wounded Rafe a little bit, as much as he hated to admit, but he knew you had a point and for that he couldn't be mad at you for it. He knew you were at an unfair disadvantage simply because of who your parents were and what little effort they made into giving you a congenial life, and it hurt him knowing you were made to suffer because of other people's foolish mistakes and selfishness.
"You deserve a happy life just as much as anyone else, actually probably even more than most." The blue-eyed boy urged with ardent feelings present in his tone.
"You're just saying that." You rolled your eyes half-heartedly, nudging him softly in disagreement to his statement.
"I'm not, y/n. I mean it, genuinely. You've been through so much and here you are, still so lively and caring. Most people in your shoes would have let their past turn them heartless, but you.. You're infectious and kind despite having gone through hell. I don't think you give yourself enough credit for that." His words were sweet and genuine in a way that had your heart practically melting in his hands, a feeling you had yet to feel so authentically as you did in that moment as you sat there on a vacant beach, staring into the mesmerizing lazuline eyes of Rafe Cameron.
Your lips stayed slightly parted subconsciously as you found yourself getting lost in the current moment that was unfolding between you and the Kook Prince himself, a scene you never would have imagined yourself being in three weeks before. You watched as his pupils widened, his gaze flickering between your eyes and your swollen lips. His free hand ghosted your forearm as it made its way up to your cheek, wiping the reminisce of tears that trailed down your face. You peered up at him coyly, staring back at him through your eyelashes as you gently rested your head into his warm open hand while his thumb slowly caressed the soft skin.
"So beautiful." Rafe whispered under his breath as he looked at you with full admiration that made your legs feel weak. You weren't entirely sure why, perhaps it had been the vulnerability you were subjected to in that moment, but you felt like crying again. This time however, it wasn't from sadness or pain, but relief. A relief that for the first time in your entire life, someone had saw you for who you were and was willing to provide you a safety net for you to let down your walls and fall freely into them. Sure your friends came close to it, but with Rafe it was far different. The feeling was intense and invoked a child-like excitement, even joy, out of you. It made you feel giddy inside, as though you couldn't help but smile in his presence even when he wasn't saying a word.
The scent of a warm spice and musk fragrance invaded your space and filled the air around you, tangling you into an inebriated trance fueled by the essence of desire and impulse. You felt as though you were being taunted by Rafe's refusal to move from the position he was in, yet igniting a flame inside of you by his voluptuary touch. It was clear that he was waiting for your invite despite knowing you had craved his taste once before, but he needed your to confirm that the drive to do so was still lingering inside of you. He watched as you took matters into your own hands and climbed back onto his lap, a seat that had basically become yours after the moment the two of you had in his car.
Unlike the time before, you wanted this moment to be one of undescribable vehement, like you had never been touched properly in your lifetime. Rafe remained silent and kept his eyes glued to you and your figure, holding your hips steady against his waist.
"I know you're going to think I'm crazy for saying this right now, but Rafe," you swallowed hard as you struggled to form a coherent sentence under his stare, "I'm ready for this now."
He chuckled tauntingly, "Ready for what, pretty girl?"
"Don't make me say it." You whined, throwing your head back in aggravation.
"Dunno what you're talking about, angel." Rafe smirked as he shrugged, attempting to act as though he was blissfully unaware to the way that your hips your bucked up against him impatiently.
"I want you, idiot." You rolled your eyes at him, groaning as the tension grew unbearably painful between your thighs as the fabric of his khakis rubbed against you.
"Really? I couldn't tell." The devilish boy formed a smug look across his face as he took notice of your eagerness to get ahold of him. He scanned your frame, noticing the hazy look that had clouded over your normally doe-like eyes. Rafe was a man of great strength, but when it came to you, he was putty in your hands.
"Rafe, do something, please." You begged, unable to fully move your hips as he held onto them firmly, keeping you in place.
"Tell me what you want me to do and I will, princess." He murmured into your ear lowly as his lips ghosted your neck before landing onto the sweet spot he had found on you before, immediately earning a whimper to escape your lips quietly.
"Touch me, anything." You answered vaguely as your impatience consumed you more and more by the second, unable to contain the burning in your core.
"Hmm, where do you want me to touch you?" His voice remained low a husky, enough to make you want to collapse in his arms. You removed your hand from behind his neck and snaked it down to the side of your hip, grabbing one of his wrists and re-positioning it right along the center between your thighs.
Your mouth fell agape as Rafe obeyed your wishes and began moving his fingers up and down your blazing core, adding more pressure as your hips grinded against his long digits. Heat rushed to your cheeks at the realization of what exactly you were doing, except you were far too into it to care about the reality of it afterwards. You found that your desire only increased as he teased you through the fabric of your shorts, agonizingly. Without a second thought, you placed your hand onto of his and laced your fingers together, forcing him to speed up his movements and add even more pressure.
Rafe seemed to have taken note of your demands as he removed his hand and began unbuckling your denim shorts swiftly before sliding his fingers underneath your lace thong briskly. Your head fell back instinctively, soft moans escaping your lips that fueled Rafe's ego proudly. He found himself stuck in a daze as he watched you fall under the spell of his trained fingers as they massaged through your folds hastily, causing you to press your hips against him more as they bucked up against his hands.
Just when you found prodigious pleasure in the way Rafe's fingers felt against you, shock waves coursed through your body like electricity once you felt two of his lengthy digits curl up inside of you. Your eyes rolled back, taking in the bliss that was Rafe Cameron's two fingers thrusting into you at a pace that made your legs feel like jello. Your moans became erratic and uncontrollable as the sandy-haired boy pushed his fingers up further into you, gliding them in and out rapidly as he continuously pressed against your cervix with force.
"Does that feel good, princess?" Rafe mumbled against your collarbone as he kissed along the prominent bone passionately, trying to withhold himself from losing control of his own.
"Don't stop." You whined as you begged him to continue, grinding against his fingers keenly with hopes to feel as much of him as you possible could, a state of euphoria approaching you slowly.
"R-Rafe, I can't take it." You pleaded, wincing as his pace continued to fasten inside of you.
"C'mon angel, you can do it. You're almost there." He coaxed you softly as he sinisterly placed his thumb onto your clit and began unhesitatingly rubbing swift circles against it, sending your mind and body into a frenzy.
You placed your hands onto his shoulders and gripped onto them tightly as you began to reach your peak, your thighs shaking and your legs giving out as the muscles within them began to spasm uncontrollably. A throbbing feeling reached your core as you continued grinding against Rafe's fingers with speed as you chased your high, your moans becoming explicit and noisy.
"Cum on my fingers, baby, it's okay. Let it out." Rafe ushered as he kept up his movements while your body convulsed against him, feeling as rush go through your body as explosions set off within your core region. You felt an immense release as you came undone along his fingers, crying out as you felt an overwhelming amount of pleasure take over your body.
Rafe removed his hand out of you, buttoning your shorts back up and zipping them for you as he pecked your cheek gently.
"Are you okay?" He asked, scanning your features for any sign of pain or distress.
"Mm, yeah I'm good." You wearily hummed as you collapsed into him, burying your face into the crook of his neck while you closed your eyes, taking in the events that had just occured as well as the aftermath of the pleasure that obtained your body.
The hubristic boy chuckled at your state of defeat, "You did good, pretty girl." A small, thin lipped smile formed at the corners of his mouth as he caressed up your hips and thighs slowly, "C'mon I know you're tired, I'll take you home, or wherever. I've gotta head back to my place, anyways."
"Why?" You groaned, not wanting to removing yourself from the daydream you were currently in.
"My dad texted me, said he needs my help tonight." Rafe shrugged.
"Did he say with what?" You asked, reality now coming back to you at the mention of his infamous father.
"Yeah, sort of. He said he needed help moving some cargo onto this ship he owns. I guess it's heavy." Rafe's words came out rather bluntly and plain, as though he was talking about the weather or his weekly schedule. His statement replayed in your head a few times before you sat up and attempted to make sense of what he was talking about.
"Like just random stuff?" You questioned, pining for further answers as the topic sparked your interest and concern.
"Yes and no," he scratched the back of his head, scrunching up his nose as he lowered his voice, "but if I tell you, promise me you won't run back to your Pogue friends and tell them." Rafe asserted with seriousness, staring into your eyes as he held the sides of your arms firmly.
"Okay," you held your hands up in defense, causing his body to relax, "I promise I won't."
"See my dad and I took this trip to the bahamas a while ago, he said it was a business trip and that he wanted me to tag along for whatever reason. Come to find out, as soon as we get there, he tells me about this gold he has hidden and how he wants me to help him ship it to Switzerland so that nobody else can get ahold of it, since it's ours anyway."
Your body froze in place, staring back at Rafe was those horrifying words slipped out of his mouth without a second thought as he found sanctuary within you, despite the lack of longevity in your relationship thus far. You thought about your friends all of the sudden, and your mouth felt dry, knowing that this was exactly what they needed to know and stop before Rafe and his dad could put them in a position where the gold would be out of their reach for good.
You felt an immense pressure with the new information given to you, a burden weighing heavy on your shoulders. Your mind raced as you replayed his statement over and over again, wondering what you should do and who you should tell first, eager to relay the word back to your friends as soon as possible.
"Oh, okay that makes sense." You let out a small, half-hearted laugh, rubbing your upper arm slowly. "But, uh, Rafe?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you just drop me off at the chateau? I think I'm gonna sleep there tonight.
