If you had to re-imagine a tale from the Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson, what would you write?

I hate and love you, because I have the biggestBIGGEST love for Red Riding Hood.

▸hybrids (not omegaverse, but using the ranking dynamics). ▸red cape signals an open mate to their pack. ▸her grandma lives on the outskirts away from the pack, because she doesn't agree with the war that divided them. ▸her gma has helped the injured beta from the other pack, he's the grandchild of her childhood love and best friend. ▸red's lifelong bestie is the alpha of her pack, and he is the beta, meaning the two of them aren't allowed to mate. they keep all of the pack lines strong by pairing them off with a lower ranking mate. ▸she tries to poison the imposter, but her grandma arrives and stops her, explaining and she still tries to proceed with poisoning him. ▸ her alpha wants to form an alliance with the other pack though (there's a reason he is alpha, and she is the hotheaded executioner beta).

If Grimm was trying to romantically pursue PK with the intention of taking him as his mate, then yes. However, Grimm and PK's sexual interactions tend to actually be territory-based, so while she doesn't like Grimm purposefully heckling them, she doesn't mind sex being the way of settling it.

See, when a wyrm purposefully enters another's territory, it's either to kill the inhabitant and take over, or it's there to mate. Typically the mating part only happens during breeding season, when the pheromone trails of the dominating wyrm lead others in to breed, but sometimes if the invading wyrm realizes they're in over their heads, they'll flip from aggressive behaviors to courtship ones to minimize their chances of being killed by the dominating wyrm. This usually works to the benefit of both parties, both because wyrms are hardwired to look at something huge and dangerous and powerful that's threatning to kill them and go 'hello sexy', while the dominating wyrm gets both the security of not having to initiate a potentially risky battle while also being appeased by the mating. Whether or not either wyrm has a regular mate doesn't matter much because they do not have a monagomous breeding structure and are often hold such large territories that fresh genetic contributions is always a good thing. PK-while unusually dedicated to WL in that he's interested in her year-round rather than a single season- is still a wyrm.

So essentially, when Grimm comes a-heckling, PK demands that he either fight, or find some way to appease him to make this annoyance worthwhile. Usually, Grimm just wants to waste his time for the hell of it, but sometimes he's in the mood to fuck another Higher Being, so he chooses to appease via sex instead. PK still gets the dominance points, so he and WL are satisfied, and Grimm gets to annoy him with shitty puns while they're locked, so he's satisfied. Its not clean, but it works out well enough for them both

So I have this story about done in the notes. There are 2-3 chapters left and I have 1.5 of them written. Probably 2 and an epilogue if I'm guestimating right. So in that regard Mondays will be item shop Mondays until it's over. Radio Grimm is ready and will be uploaded on Wednesday and BtS on Friday. Hopefully that's fun for everyone. If it’s not I don’t get paid so I mean /shrug.

Some more SW Stuff I’ve had on the brain…

Friday, I had the idea to do a short story focusing on Pig’s mom. Or come up with a design for her, anyway. One idea I’ve always had since I was little was that Pig’s mom had died when he was young, hence why the brothers are raised by their dad. Poppa Pig hasn’t remarried since then, but does keep her memory alive within the family. The short story I had in mind involved how Poppa Pig and his wife met, with his wife being an inventor while he, and his own brothers, are still builders. How she died is something I’m still working on. While in the original SRBA it was inferred, chapter 4 of DR confirms that AP’s mom did die…which makes Material-B’s remarks even more horrible.

I had two new AU ideas—one being a Whyatt/Princess Pea AU where Whyatt is Pea’s bodyguard and the Azure Flamechaser full time, and the other being a Whyatt/Red AU that’s kinda like a gender bent Beauty and the Beast, except that one has a few more elements of the original Grimm Brothers’ fairytales. Not sure if I’ll ever get around to posting them, though!

Due to playing Honkai Impact 3rd, I realized that majority of my stories have their own Kallen Kaslana—or legacy characters whose actions directly shaped the events of living ones. For FLaG, it was Sebastian Lièvre and Nico Fontaine. For BT, it’s Olivier Coyote and Rose Rabbit. For Temporary Truce, this almost became the case for Punkin’s mom and Cat’s father. For The Zula Patrol: Dreamscape Crusade, it’s Multo’s ancestor, Multo I. And this story has three dead characters whose stories still affect the present: Mother Goose, Prince Phillip, and Pig’s mother, whom I’m still thinking of!

I also realized during the writing of chapter 4 that AP basically became a miniature Nanoha, with a bit of Hibiki Tachibana thrown into the mix. One of his lines to Material-B (“I’ll come back alive and make it happen, even if it kills me!”) is directly inspired by Hibiki’s famous declaration to not die when fighting Miku in Symphogear G.

I also want to write more of King and Queen Pea, who are the main royals of Storybrook Village, if I’m guessing this correctly, and have had some important roles in the SRBA ‘verse. Queen Pea knows a lot about relics and swords, and King Pea went toe to toe with his daughter and won (although technically, he didn’t fight her, just talked sense into her). There’s a hint in chapter 4 that points at there being more to Princess Presto’s Second Style than being a merge of her old powers and new powers.

A funny idea I had that takes place after the events of SRBA is where Whyatt chats with his family about the Super Readers, and Jack notes that he often wondered who Whyatt was referring to when he needed the Super Readers to solve a problem, much to his embarrassment.

Writing those Why/Red scenes has given me fuel to write more of them! So, you can expect a few one-shots featuring them sometime in the future! One cute little one shot that I have takes place a bit before the events of SRBA Reloaded, where Whyatt decides to get Red a special present for her birthday,which is a soccer ball made out of chocolate. His mother, who knows that he hardly if ever eats any candy, notices this and teases him, asking if he’s buying it for a girl. If there’s one thing about Whyatt, he’s a terrible liar, which leads to him being slightly embarrassed, haha XD

Regarding Jeremiah, the Super Readers do eventually learn of his familial connection to Chaos, and question why he’s fighting his brother. Chaos is one of the few people that Jeremiah outright hates, and deems unworthy of being saved. There is a reason for this that’ll be explained in chapter 6. Jeremiah did try to help Chaos turn from his ways, but he did something so heinous that he cut him off and they became enemies.

Might make a few OCs, especially those who were the first Super Readers! ^^

Estelle gasped slightly as she saw the twisted face through the glass, taking a step back. Grace watched her slowly, eyes narrowing slightly before she returned back to normal.

“See something?” Grace asked.

“Um..,” Estelle exhaled slowly, “I don’t know what I’m seeing,”

“Your type normally hunts in families,” Grace stated, “I’ve never met an orphaned Grimm before,”

“Grimm?” Estelle whispered.

She gasped again when Grace’s face shifted, her teeth and eyes turning black and her skin turning grey.

“Scary, huh?” Grace asked before she looked human again, “You can see us, even when we don’t want to be seen,”

Estelle shuttered, “I don’t.. want to..,”

“It’s an adjustment,” Grace nodded, “But we can help,”

Furrowing her brows together, Estelle looked at her again.

“There’s more like me?” Estelle asked.

“Grimm? Yes. Abandoned Grimm?” Grace shook her head, “No, but you can become a very powerful ally,”

Playing DMC 3 and listening to devils never cry threw me back to watching dead fantasy 3. What a fun punchy fight, and I usually enjoy the mid range stuff.

God what I would give for a DMC-polished hack and slash RWBY game. There's just so many little places DMC allows for styling on opponents that I can feel echoed in Monty's direction of his fight sequences (in particular the Devil Bringer stuff in 4 where you get mini cinematics in boss fights). In my mind's eye it would def be fun to think about how exactly all the fight mechs could be translated into a video game (sorry but Grimm Eclipse is too bare bones for that).

To that end, thinking about what type of upgrade Gambol Shroud (hinted in BTS that the Shroud sheathe would get an upgrade) would have gotten from a video game perspective... Either something Dust related since you don't see Blake use Dust until the end of vol 2, or some type of transformation into other ninja-y gear. Or both. Or maybe it would just be some sort of gattai thing where the two would fuse.

Whatever it was, reforging Gambol with that little bit of Ember Cecelia wasn't it.

"Baz!" I hear my name called from Simon's room. I'm reading with my feet are propped up on the table in his and Penny's living room and I'm fairly comfortable. I consider pretending to be asleep but Simon wouldn't buy that would he?

While I'm still pondering, Simon calls me again, "Baz I know you're out there and I know you can hear me, get your vampire ass in here!" I smile despite myself and groan dramatically while marking my place in my book.

"I dont know, Snow," I say, falling back onto the sofa, "I may take some persuasion."

Before you know it, in comes my half dragon boyfriend, no shirt on, ("It bothers my wings, Baz!"), and in one fluid motion, he is standing over me, kissing my nose and pulling me to my feet. He looks up at me and smiles, blue eyes shining and golden curls bouncing with each movement. Ever since he insisted on using my conditioner, his hair has been soft as hell and I honest to God love it. I run my hands through it now, ruffling his hair as if he was a child.

"Not now Baz," He ducks under my hand and kisses me on the forhead before pulling me into his room by my elbow, "Right now I must show you something wonderful." He sits me down on his bed and drapes himself over me before grabbing his phone and pulling up Youtube.

I pout, "But kissing is so much fun," I say, exaggerating my pout. He smiles but continues pulling up a video. I huff in mocked annoyance before letting myself fall against his chest. His wings are folded behind him and his tail slowly wraps itself around my calf, as if it is scared of me leaving.

"You're gonna love this, I promise," He says before finally pressing play.

Immediately my eyes are attacked with the sight of seven boys and bright colors. Confused, I turn my head towards Simon only to find his blue eyes staring back at me.

"Snow, what-" he cuts me off with a quick kiss and turns my head back to the phone, "Just watch,"

After that video, Baz insisted on watching another... and another.

I found BTS' music video for a song called Idol this morning and I've been listening to it on repeat. Baz came over after his classes and I barely noticed (which pissed him off a bit, but kisses made up for it). Finally, I wanted to share the video with Baz. I hoped he would like it, genuinely like it. Not just, "Of course, Snow, if you like it then I like it." But I'll take the fact that he continued to click on suggested videos as a sign that he did genuinely enjoy it.

At some point during the music video for Danger, he paused it and pointed at a boy on the screen, "He's cute, I like him."

"Oh really now?"

He smirked, "He has an amazing butt,"

"I do too!" I whined. No I wasn't jealous out a Korean star. Okay fine, he called him cute, sue me.

"Yes, Snow, but look at his thighs." He sighed and I decided enough was enough and tackled him, tickling his side. He insists on not being ticklish but it's a goddamn lie.

He broke free and smirked again, showing a bit of his fangs, "Jealous, are we?"

I picked my phone back up and pointed to another boy, "Actually this one is cute, too."

An hour full of google searches and more music videos, Baz and I had memorized the names of the members and about every fact of them that were available to the public.

Of all your fics, which ones are you the most proud of?

As much of a cop out answer as it is I probably can't narrow it down to one as I'm proud of different fics for various reasons. Maiden Outtakes was the first thing I posted so I'm proud I did that much like One Good Turn was the first thing I posted based on entirely my own stuff, and Pizza Au was the first multi chapter fic I finished.

Moving On and it's mini sequel I'm strangely proud of for it being a nice low stakes trio adventure. There wasn't a world ending threat, just a lil lizard girl who ends up making friends and finding love with Whiterose and I think it still holds up pretty well.

Radio Grimm will always hold a special place in my heart (young maria i love you) and the BtS trilogy is almost like writing a book series so that's enjoyable too.

And I always like writing silly stories or low stake stuff, like the schnee family series, it doesn't always get good reception but they are very fun.

If I had to pick probably Moving On because I enjoyed the character work, Radio Grimm for the story, In Plain Sight for the lore/world building, and the Undaunted/Bts series for just being fun long form stuff.
