One thing we do not give Midoriya enough credit for is training to be a hero while someone he admired was watching. he had to go from normal nerdy teenager to OFA user & hero school hopeful in like ten months while his idol was literally right there critiquing his every move. have you ever tried to do anything ever while someone you admired was watching you? this truly was my anxiety academia

not just any poem specifically "To Mary" ugh the romance in this movie i'm typically a horror and thriller girl, not used to happy endings but this movie...this is everything i've wanted in a relationship. i mean the unconditional love and domesticity not the murder and sewing back on body parts which i honestly am not opposed to...

season one carmy was a little bitch, but he still cared. he still attempted to foster this new energy in the chefs of the beef even tho they wasn’t really feeling it at first, but he kept pushing forward (with the help of sydney), and a new feeling was born.

season two he steps that up even more (with even more guidance from sydney). he sends marcus to copenhagen, tina and ebra to culinary school, richie to ever to foster those people skills. granted he’s even more of a little bitch in season two, but he’s still a thoughtful little bitch when he tries to be.

season three deads ALL of that. so fucking quickly. and i see that the most, unfortunately, in Tina. she loses her footing the most because carmy is constantly on her ass without the support. previously he’d critique and teach, but now he’s just a mouthy mf with nothing to back it up.

sydney thankfully recognizes this tho, and has tina’s back in a way she’s really had it since season one. she takes her time, gives her that space to work, and easily breathes that confidence back into her.

i recognize carmy is full on michelin mode this season as a result of his freezer fuck up, but watching him take all these beautiful things he’s learned from these other kitchens and then completely fuck them with the emp dudes disgusting energy makes it so hard to like him or feel any kind of remote or pity for him this season

when I was in high school we used to have a lot of events at the end of the school year but the one everyone most looked forward to without fail was the massive dodgeball tournament between grade levels. freshmen played sophomores, juniors played seniors, the winners played each other, and then the reigning champions did battle with the teachers. anyway I think this event would be both incredibly dangerous and universally beloved at UA
