Remember the live action Justice League movie that came out a few years ago? Earlier today i had a dream about what was essentially a sequel movie, where everyone in the live action DCU get together to stop the big bad yadda yadda. And SOMEHOW they managed to get Ryan Reynolds to reprise his role as Green Lantern. Like no reboot. Its straight up that same Green Lantern from the 2011 movie i have only one memory of and im pretty sure was a flop. But heres when it gets funny. Every scene with him in it was filmed like Deadpool. His first appearance involved him running from the cameras screaming that he'd never wear the CGI suit again. He keeps breaking the fourth wall to absolutely roast himself and the other characters (*cough* Batman *cough*) and most importantly the crew. The first time they all suit up he cycles through a ton of super suits Scooby Doo unmasking reveal style until its something that passes for a GL suit. The JL are beyond done with him but they can't break the fourth wall like he can so they can't physically stop the Ryan Reynolds shenaniganery. The rest of the movie is broody and serious this is JUST every Hal Jordan scene

shout out to old actors in horror films. and i'm not talking some of youse who think 40 is old, i mean 70+ year olds who act in horror. obviously tobin bell is the most mainstream (and is AMAZING and i love him), but also lin shaye, ellen bursytn, barbara crampton BUT ALSO!!!! i am like some extreme horror and i love our lil old ladies and fellas (and all those in between/otherwise) who have no other acting credits and pop up in the most gory, disgusting low budget stuff covered in blood and guts like????? god bless, i wanna be like youse when i grow up

#i was just on a zoom with bruce talking about the doc and he was like ''would it be helpful for you to get behind the scenes video?''#(like we are already planning on doing interviews with everyone but also having me around while they're rehearsing and getting ready)#and i'm literally out here like ???? that would be a dream but also am i allowed to ask that???#and bruce is like ''yes of course you can follow us the whole day if you want to''#and there's even going to be a second camera person they're already having film backstage content (not for the doc but i can use it)#so like honestly i don't even have to focus on getting footage bc there will be another footage source of the same backstage moments #it's so surreal that it was this easy to get backstage with the KITH #like i was fully expecting bruce to be like ''sorry no there's just too many people we want to focus on the show'' (which would be valid)#and then i'd inevitably talk to scott about it and have him be like ''no i want jess backstage'' like an ask your mom vs ask your dad thing #but nope i'm just going to be following them around the whole time???#god it's going to be so wild seeing the full KITH together for the first time bc of course there's the three i haven't met yet #but also my mom just pointed out i've really only interacted with both bruce and scott in the same space a handful of times #and i haven't talked to them together since march. and haven't really had a long interaction with both since last year #so even tho i'm super close with both it'll be interesting seeing how the dynamic goes especially with the other 3 i don't know well

||. finally going to bed thinking about lore - keeper asgardians . thinking about how intelligence and wisdom are one of their favored traits. thinking about how thor is the best of every asgardian ideal . thinking about how he is wise . thinking about his street - smarts . thinking about how he is also knowledgeable in legends , lore , and folktale. he is adaptable . he takes this knowledge , adapts to it , and crafts himself into something stronger. he is ever growing , and one of those ways is how he seeks out knowledge , and knows well to keep a sharp mind on the tales told by word of mouth or written on a page.

#(ik loki is book - smart and all that and good for him)#(i think it's clear that thor absolutely relies on loki to have increasingly /niche/ knowledge about things esp where magic is concerned)#(but i don't think he relies solely on loki to obtain and retain that knowledge. because thor also seeks it out.)#(in the first film /he/ is the one to educate jane - an astrophysicist - on the truth of the nine realms. he's able to TEACH HER-)#(-about the alien world she truly lives in. that was all him.)#(in TDW it's shown that heimdall taught thor about the convergence himself and that thor was very knowledgeable about how it works)#(in that same film he's shown to have a deep understanding of asgardian history - taught by odin himself in some respects.)#(he's ALSO very familiar with the hall of knowledge where the tree is and commends jane for picking it up so fast.)#(he's /also/ able to instantly deduce that what is hurting jane is foreign to earth. aka alien. aka something cosmic like HIM)#(i can't remember off the top of my head how they narrow it down to the aether but he was clearly already on its trail)#(and that's just /his movies/.)#(in avengers 1 he's instantly able to tell that there's a bigger foe at play behind loki's attempted siege of earth.)#(he's also the one to have extensive personal knowledge of the infinity stones in avengers 2)#(anyways all of this to say is that thor is INCREDIBLY intelligent and nobody gives him credit for that and it makes me mad.)#(just because he doesn't talk about it the way someone like tony stark or bruce banner do doesn't mean he's not right up there with them-)#(-and honestly probably /surpasses/ them bc he's so friggin old and literally alien.)#(but he lets them do their thing and only corrects them when they actually need it bc he LIKES to see them learn and be smart and cool)#(that's their thing!! good on them. he loves to see his human friends thriving. eveniftoasgarditsrudimentaryasallhell)#(anyways thor is smart and yes this includes book smarts and i WILL throw hands about this.)#( ooc . ) — stories that leap from the page .#( headcanon . ) — glory to the man who toils for his land . may it ever prosper .#(not even hc tbh it's just fact)

Watching the caped crusader,

Without spoilers it is a 10/10 however (spoilers)

I feel for Alfred and Montoya

Montoya constantly get herself shut down by people like bullock and flask and after all the suffering she goes through at her job, she gets a girlfriend who seems to love and cherish her…

but it’s fucking Harley Quinn

This girl just can’t catch a break

And Alfred oh dear God Alfred

I kind of hate his dynamic with Bruce right now. I’m not that far into the series, but there seems to be less reciprocated affection from Bruce, especially with the whole standing outside his door and saying “you’re going to help me.”

This bruce definitely feels more cynical than other interpretations (more of his trauma peaks through as with the flash backs) so the change dynamic kind of makes sense. It’s not a bad one just getting used to if you’re a fan of older series like me.

Still everything works well and it really is a fun time. Like maws its a fun new take on both Heroes and Villains (even gives the spotlight to people animated fans may not have seen before).
