Remember the live action Justice League movie that came out a few years ago? Earlier today i had a dream about what was essentially a sequel movie, where everyone in the live action DCU get together to stop the big bad yadda yadda. And SOMEHOW they managed to get Ryan Reynolds to reprise his role as Green Lantern. Like no reboot. Its straight up that same Green Lantern from the 2011 movie i have only one memory of and im pretty sure was a flop. But heres when it gets funny. Every scene with him in it was filmed like Deadpool. His first appearance involved him running from the cameras screaming that he'd never wear the CGI suit again. He keeps breaking the fourth wall to absolutely roast himself and the other characters (*cough* Batman *cough*) and most importantly the crew. The first time they all suit up he cycles through a ton of super suits Scooby Doo unmasking reveal style until its something that passes for a GL suit. The JL are beyond done with him but they can't break the fourth wall like he can so they can't physically stop the Ryan Reynolds shenaniganery. The rest of the movie is broody and serious this is JUST every Hal Jordan scene

Green Lantern(2011) is a good movie, if you hate on it just because a bunch of retarded dude bros and bitches tell you that "it's the worst movie of all time" then you need to pull your head out of your own ass and actually sit down and watch the movie and think for yourself, stop praising bad movies and hating on good ones just because of critics and dude bros and bitches

Finished the 2011 Green Lantern movie. It wasn't that bad, definitely deserves its IMDB rating and really could have been a decent 6/10 or even 7/10 if they had just:

Improved the dialogue

Delved into or took slightly more seriously the dissonance that was Hal the fighter pilot vs. Hal the kid who watched his dad blow up

Fixed the romance direction.

Like the suit thing is awkward but salvageable. The plot points are a little goofy but I started watching TV in the 80's so I don't mind goofy. Still can't believe they made the romance lack chemistry. They made people who [checks notes] got married to each other IRL [/] a romance I couldn't really see happening between their characters. But I think part of that swings back to the improve the dialogue point because that really is the problem with the whole movie. Fix that and fix like most of all the other problems.

Anyway, it was worth watching because I had fun. I'd say it's definitely a solid 5.5/10 (.5 for fun).
