Just shy of the New Year Bruce Barker, the voice of the National Lacrosse League’s Toronto Rock, suffered a stroke and was admitted to Guelph General Hospital.  Though now home, he has a long road to recovery as the stroke affected his speech and his ability to write.

My grandfather in the San Joaquin Valley sometime in the 1930's.  My family took much the same path of those written about in the classic novel "The Grapes of Wrath".  By all accounts, he was a man amongst boys.  I never met him.  Here he is on the left boxing with his brother.
