@kryptonbabe I don't think I've ever seen this episode of her show, but I went through a craze years ago where i'd look up the wikipedia pages for sitcoms. So i used to know a lot about sitcoms from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Sometimes the 80s too. But yeah, I was aware this happened. I just don't think I ever saw any photographs.
Also, this does remind me of two other things: I've seen Lucille Ball on things like the Carol Burnett Show and on a few episodes of her later sitcoms, and she's genius. And also; an idea this gave me: if i were to make a crossover between Batman '66 and Superman '52, I'd have Lucille Ball be the wall climbing window cameo for the story. She's the only celebrity that makes sense there, I think.

From I Love Lucy S6E13 - Lucy and Superman (1957).
One of the reasons I love this I Love Lucy episode is because at no point Superman is called "the actor who plays Superman" or "George Reeves", which means he is actually Superman in the universe of Lucy, which means I Love Lucy is part of the DC multiverse.

Have you ever heard about my wife? Oh, yes, yes. Uh, her name is Lucy, is that it? That’s right, yeah. Yes, yes, I heard all those publicity stories about her. Yeah, well, I got news for you. Those were not publicity stories. You mean they were true? Yes. Well, she must…she must, she must be quite a character. Well, she’s, uh more than just a character. With many requests from my mum and generally from people liking how I design caricatures, Here's a tiny Lucille Ball as a sticker! I don't see a lot of cute, adorable art of old Hollywood shows I enjoy so I figured I'd just do it myself. Get your "I Love Lucy" Sticker here!
Yes, I will be making more, Yes I will include Ricky, Yes I will include the rest of the gang. :)

Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif (Lawrence of Arabia, The Night of the Generals)—no propaganda submitted
Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball (The Long Long Trailer, Forever Darling)—Just to back up the other suggestion, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Their first movie pairing, Too Many Girls, was actually how they met! They made 2 other movies, The Long Long Trailer (seriously so hilarious and top of their zany game) and Forever Darling, during the run of I Love Lucy. They had a lot of problems IRL (I highly recommend TCM's podcast about Lucy's life!) but they were so great on-screen together.
This is round 2 of a mini tournament. Each poll lasts for three days. If you'd like to send additional propaganda supporting your favorite hot couple, you can reblog this post with your propaganda added, send it to my asks, or tag me in it. To vote in all the polls, click here. Happy holidays!
