Sexuality Headcanon: Not sure if there's a label for this (.......demi?), but Hiyoko seems like the type who latches onto a single person at a time, if at all. She won't consciously look for a girl or guy, may not even say someone's attractive if randomly asked, but when someone's got it, she's hooked.

Gender Headcanon: I believe that some people are only passively cisgender, meaning they've never actually ruminated on their identity and considered that they might be something else, and that trans people would be less rare (if still in a very small minority) if more people did. My hc is that Hiyoko's passively cis in SDR2, and that if she grows up, gets more exposure to the idea, and opens her mind enough to question herself, she might enjoy life as a more androgynous person ... Whoa, I just projected myself onto Hiyoko.

A ship I have with said character: I know you love hiyobuki, zombyne, and I'll never take that away from you. That said, I'm basic, so I'll go with mahiyoko for this post. What does Hiyoko like about Mahiru? She's a cute redhead who takes no crap when people fail to meet her high standards, a sweet girl who'll willingly shower with a near-total stranger in a killing game, a true friend who even helps her with her own clothes. What does Mahiru like about Hiyoko (arguably the real question)? I enjoy the notion that Mahiru's more amused by Hiyoko's antics than she lets on. Don't forget, she also has a low opinion of Mikan - not as much as Hiyoko, but not enough to defend her from what are obviously unserious insults. When you're always the serious one, it's nice to let your hair down around someone. I also like the idea that Mahiru loses her goddamn lesbian mind when Hiyoko comes back from summer break taller than her.

A BROTP I have with said character: And this is where I'll talk about Ibuki! Forget the Twilight Syndrome stuff (the writers of SDR2 sure did!). Just look at their interactions! When Hiyoko basically tries Ibuki's whole life in the first trial, Ibuki shouts in amusement something like "You've pierced me with your arrow of truth!" She either knows this girl isn't serious, or she doesn't care if she is. Then the only person in the whole goddamn group who likes Ibuki's music is the most annoying bully in the bunch. That's a terrific joke that works perfectly for Hiyoko as a character. Of course the Ultimate Traditional Dancer, who likely grew up sheltered in one of those homes where modern pop is forbidden and Harry Potter is considered Satanist, would have her mind blown by Ibuki's metal freakouts. Hiyobuki as a ship is great, but even just being besties is awesome for them ... though I think they could also enable each other in just being so mean to people lol

A NOTP I have with said character: I don't have many NOTPs in general ... but I can safely rule out Teruteru after that scene in DR3. Yiiikes.

A random headcanon: Hiyoko was perfectly capable of tying her obi on her own. C'mon, she's not that childish. Occam's Razor would dictate that things went exactly as stated in the game's dialogue ... but what if Hiyoko just neglected showering altogether because she's depressed? You know, cuz she's in a goddamn killing game with a dozen-odd total strangers? Then the one person she likes and kinda trusts offers to join her in the shower and suddenly this obi thing goes from an excuse to an opportunity. When Mahiru dies, though, Hiyoko's shattered, and that comes out in her newfound inability to properly dress herself. This manifestation of her grief gets so bad that it ultimately kills her. What a tragedy: opening up to another person leaves her totally helpless against the person she dismissed as the weakest in the group. There's a fanfic in this ...

General Opinion over said character: No one needs to like Hiyoko for whatever reason. That said, the most common reason I've observed in the haters is that they wouldn't want to be friends with her in real life. In my opinion, that's an extremely boring way of looking at fictional characters - it's not like they'll ever like us back, right? Might as well enjoy Hiyoko for playing a highly important role in the SDR2 ecosystem: the mixer! It's boring if everyone's all nice and stuff. Besides, Hiyoko's no simple bully, nor is she a lost cause. Like any Danganronpa character, the girl has her own hidden depths that make her more compelling than the haters might expect. I'd elaborate ... but anyone interested should reach out to zombyne, or the many other cool people I've met who enjoy Hiyoko as a character.

who’s more protective?: Oh, that’s hard to say. I’d say Mateo, maybe. And really only because he’s super protective of all his KT brothers since he’s the president.

what are four words to describe their relationship?: Awesome, boozy, fun, silly 

how does each one feel when the other gets into a romantic relationship?: do they get jealous? are they super protective? proud of their friend getting out there?? They’d totally be stoked and happy that their friend is happy. There are probably a lot of dirty questions about sex thrown into the conversation when it’s first brought up but all in all they’d be happy. 

list three problems that they’ve encountered in their time together: Thinking of pranks to play on Omega Chi, figuring out how to sneak into Omega Chi to play pranks, figuring out how to defend their run down castle from Omega Chi once they realize KT pranked them 

how often do they fight?: They probably fight a lot. And by fight I mean typical KT wrestling match or something like that. Actually fighting? They’ve probably never been in an actual fight with each other. 

what would their biggest fight be about?: Probably something like “WHY WOULD YOU EAT MY LEFTOVERS?! MY NAME WAS CLEARLY ON THE TAKE OUT CONTAINER!” 

nicknames/terms of endearment?: they are super frat boys so its “dude” “bro” “man” and extra special “mexibro” 

how long will they last?: do they fall out a few months after friendship blooms? do they laugh at their respective grandchildren together while looking over photos from decades ago? Decades, man. They definitely don’t stay super close since they’d be living in different places after college but they’ll still be friends, go to KT reunions and visit each other. 

how well do they know each other?: I’d say pretty well. They don’t know every detail of their lives but they lived with one another for years now and are very close. 

which of the two is more: violent, expressive, affectionate, irritable, intelligent, attractive, kind: Neither are really violent but maybe Mitchell? And they both suck at being expressive and openly affectionate lol. Um, Mateo might be a little better with being affectionate and that’s only because he actually kind of has a girlfriend. Irritable? Uh, Mitchell. Mateo is almost always in a good mood. Intelligent, again…not sure. Neither of them are really dumb but they ain’t geniuses. They’re both hella attractive but Mateo votes he wins this one. And I’d say they are both pretty kind people. 

are there any chances of them n o t staying platonic?: Nope. They will always be just platonic. 

how would they react if the other were to die?: Be super sad. Omg. Definitely cry a lot. 

what extent would one half of the brotp go for the other?: Kappa Tau love runs deep so they’d go pretty damn far. 

list headcanons for them based around: a slide, a laptop, winter, coca-cola, braiding hair, shoes, two of your choice: Ok, so I think I make a headcanon out of 2 of the options, right? Ok, first would be the slide. I imagine they thought it would be an amazing idea to build a slide that went from the roof of KT to the back yard for parties. They probably drunkenly drew up plans for it but never followed through. The second would be shoes. I can see them, as a prank on Omega Chi, taking all of the shoes and stringing every single pair of shoes in the rival frat house up in trees. They’d think they were so funny too as they’re doing it. 

Neri/Deanna

who’s older?: Deanna is older than Neri but only by a few months. 

who’s more protective?: I’m going to give this one to Deanna. Neri is pretty protective and will glare at anyone who talks badly or does anything to her friend but Deanna would probably throw a punch of two. 

what’s their origin?: I imagine they met through Willa, actually. Willa and Deanna were old friends but Deanna is Gamma and Willa is Zeta with Neri. Neri probably met Deanna at a party when she came up to chit chat with Willa and they hit it off and have been friends ever since. 

what are four words to describe their relationship?: Sweet, bubbly, laid back, encouraging 

how does each one feel when the other gets into a romantic relationship?: do they get jealous? are they super protective? proud of their friend getting out there?? They are so excited for each other. Like I said in the previous answer, they are encouraging of one another especially when it comes to love and relationships. 

list three problems that they’ve encountered in their time together: They’ve never really had a problem. Their friendship is pretty easy breezy. Their biggest and only problem is probably somewhere along the lines of one of them having trouble opening up. Whether it’s Deanna on her feelings and relationship worries or Neri admitting she likes someone and talks about anything sexual. 

how often do they fight?: Never. Have they ever fought? I don’t think so. 

what would their biggest fight be about?: I don’t even know since they don’t fight. The most likely thing would be going behind the other’s back and doing something that they think is helping the other but really just makes them mad? I don’t know. 

nicknames/terms of endearment?: Probably just hon or sweetie. Neri says Dee here and there but not too often.

Neri would totally try to keep the friendship strong but there’s only so much someone can do for someone who is pushing everyone away. Though I do imagine they’d eventually get back in touch with one another and be like long distance friends. 

how well do they know each other?: I’d say pretty well. I doubt Deanna holds back much information from Neri. Neri is a bit guarded but she’d tell Deanna about pretty much everything. She likes Deanna and trusts her enough so she doesn’t really keep secrets from her all too often.

how would they react if the other were to die?: Crushed. I really hate this question. Like, so sad. That’s the obvious answer for anyone. Neri would probably always be really sad about her friend passing and I’m sure Deanna would too. 

what extent would one half of the brotp go for the other?: Neri likes to play by the rules so as far as those go. Maybe even further by breaking one or two small rules. Deanna though, she’d probably break all the rules but that’s because she’s a rule breaker.

She probably got that pretty washi tape and decorated her laptop and then Deanna’s laptop without really asking if it was ok. She probably was about to go for the keyboard before Deanna stopped her. Again, I’m choosing shoes because Neri dresses very cutely all the time. She doesn’t have anything considered sexy. And Deanna likes to dress her up and probably lends her high heels all the time to wear. Neri never wore shoes that had a heel higher than an inch until she met Deanna.

what’s their origin?: Two rednecks in Ohio for school happen to be at the Lambda Sig house on rush night. They look across the room and lock eyes with one another. Everything stops, the people around them fade away, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird plays in the background and they know. They know they’ve found their true brove. 

what are four words to describe their relationship?: Loving, kind, uplifting, everlasting 

how does each one feel when the other gets into a romantic relationship?: do they get jealous? are they super protective? proud of their friend getting out there?? So happy. Josh wants nothing more than his best friend in the entire world to meet a girl and fall madly in love. He is protective though and feels the need to get to know said girl and determine that she’s right for Ian. And Ian is the same way but like, extra because he takes the test super seriously. And they never get jealous because no girl is gonna keep them from spending bro time together. 

list three problems that they’ve encountered in their time together: Fighting over who gets their dorm room for the night, Arguing over sport teams (like baseball, football, college football and nascar), that time Josh lied to Ian because he didn’t want to tell him something and Ian wouldn’t lay off until Josh told him something so Josh lied…

how often do they fight?: Rarely. And their fights generally aren’t that serious and they get over it before the conversation is even finished. 

what would their biggest fight be about?: Their biggest fight, which wasn’t even a fight as probably that thing I mentioned about Josh lying. Ian was upset about it and Josh apologized and that was pretty much the end of it. They don’t really fight because they know it’s important to talk about their feelings and they do so before bed like every night.

During Josh’s first winter in a state that actually had snow, Ian helped him a lot. He took him to a store where he could get a good but not too costly winter coat since Josh didn’t have a lot of money. He also helped him with getting chains on his truck’s tires and helped him pretty much learn how to drive in those snowy/icy conditions. 2. Let’s be real: Josh cannot do hair to save his life. But his daughter loves having cute braids and ponytails. So, anytime Ian is around, he attempts to teach Josh what he knows about braiding hair. It doesn’t exactly stick but he still tries.

A ship I have with said character: She doesn’t interact with a lot of people (and I haven’t played the investigations games) so there’s not much to work with. But I kinda like Feychols! Weird girl x weird girl solidarity ftw.

A BROTP I have with said character: I can see her and Will Powers chilling out after a long day of filming. Like, maybe Will’s just had enough of interviews and general Hollywood nonsense so it’s nice to chill with Penny, who knows him more as a person.

A NOTP I have with said character: I wouldn’t say I’m particularly against any ships with her (since there aren’t many ships with her in the first place), but I’ve seen Phoenix x Penny in a fic or two and honestly? It doesn’t really work for me. No particular reason, it just gives off weird vibes.

A random headcanon: There was another fic I read where Penny was part of a Steel Samurai discord server run by Miles and Maya, and I don’t see why that can’t be canon! I’d like to imagine she goes to a lot of cons too, but she doesn’t mention that she works at Global, being an introvert and all.

General Opinion over said character: Despite her not getting much screen time, I like Penny! She’s very sweet and relateable.

Maddie: Out of the three, I relate to her the most due to my shyness and sense of responsibility towards my sister. Also, water affinity for the win

Kira: Out of the initial trio she’s the most serious about the dangers of being a Ranger but faces it anyway.

Kira: I think she tries to hard with the whole Avril Lavigne-esque image. She doesn’t have to be girly but she’s definitely better when she strikes a balance between feminine and punk-rock

Tori: After Tori resigned from the Wind Ninja Academy, finding that teaching wasn’t suited for her, she opened up her surf shop. A lot of her former students started going there and some even worked there as her staff.

Kira: When Kira’s album finally made it into the top selling chart her teammates got her a new guitar as a present. It had a yellow body, with red, blue, black and white strings

Maddie: People usually say she hides behind the camera but I don’t really think that’s the case. It’s just that she’d rather focus on everyone else rather than herself. Which isn’t a good thing either because it means she rarely expresses a desire for attention even when she direly needs it

Tori: She really needs to hang out with people other than Shane and Dustin, if she wants to not be constantly responsible for her friends’ antics

Kira: As I mentioned, she was trying way too hard with the Avril Lavigne aesthetic.

Why I like them

I pretty much like everything about Deet. From the first moment she comes on screen we get a chance to experience Thra through her. Her character is so in touch with nature, so tuned in to the animal and plant life, as a viewer I always wanted more of her scenes so we could better glimpse this other world.

She’s incredibly caring and her kindness just strengthens her convictions and actions. I like this because in some stories kindness is portrayed as weakness, but AOR is definitely grounded in the ideas of interconnectedness and the bonds of community. Deet is also open minded, smart, and always willing to approach others with good intentions and in good faith.

She is a precious baby. But she’s also not afraid to throw down when the other options have been exhausted. I love her.

Why I don’t

I don’t like that Deet is related to Bobb’n. He’s evil and makes me love Deet less just by virtue of existing.

Favorite episode (scene if movie)

I really liked when she and Hup go to Stone in the Wood. It really spoke volumes how wiling she was to see the best in others when presented with so much evidence to the contrary. I also love her little rant when she’s trying to get in to see Maudra Fara. And I LOVE when she busts Hup out of jail. Remember folks, good people break bad laws.

Favorite line

I can’t really pick out any one line from her that I liked above the others. I will say though that she has a tendency to babble and anytime she does it I die.

Favorite outfit

Really liked her Vapra disguise.

Also her blindfold was pretty cool and a nice way for her clothing to communicate part of her story.

Stonegrot feels inevitable so that? Plus I really don’t ship her with anyone other than Rian.

Deet and Hup.

Her friendship with Hup was my favorite of all her relationships. Sorry Rian.

Head Canon

This is less a head canon and more something I don’t see discussed often, but Deet gets away with a lot of crazy shit because she comes off as ‘sweet’ and ‘gentle.’ In reality, she’s actually pretty wild and reckless. We have in-canon evidence of this with her dressing up to go save Hup, making the bombs, harnessing the darkening, etc.

I like to think that this is a trait that long preceded her forays above ground. Maudra Argot probably even encouraged it just for kicks while her fathers struggled to reign in Deet’s predisposition for chaos. While she probably doesn’t see her behavior as anything TOO extreme she’s definitely done stuff that would make Rian and Mira’s antics in the castle look like child’s play.

Unpopular opinion

I do not want Deet and Rian to become a canon couple until someone at least tells her who Mira is. At the end of season 1 Mira was never brought up around Deet, and we’re kind of left to assume that she doesn’t know who Mira is. That bugs me because Mira was literally the catalyst for Rian betraying the skeksis and starting the resistance. She’s a hugely important character plot wise and to Rian so I really feel like Deet needs to at least know her name before she and Rian become official.

A wish

I would really like Deet and Seladon to talk again. The last time went so badly, but was so close to being something great. I’d also like more Brea and Deet scenes and more Hup and Deet scenes.

I’d also love for her to not be a literal vessel for the darkening that’s killing Thra, but you know...can’t always get what we want.

General Opinion over said character: Very very entertaining catalyst for Lunarian antics, or as someone bouncing off all the various unusual things in Gensokyo from a different outsider perspective. Hard to go wrong with her.

BIOGRAPHY ::

you’re more alike to your birthmother than you will ever know, you have her smile, her walk. that’s what bruce would tell you if you were to ever ask him. you don’t. you feel enough of her ghost on your shoulders without having more information about her. you know a name that is all you want from the woman who left you first.

you are left on the steps to wayne manor. sometimes when you’re sad you like to picture what alfred’s face looked like when he found you out there in january cold. you stay with there for two months. there are photos of you with your siblings. dick kept one for years it would seem. still even here where you’re supposed to be safe, you only last for so long before you’re sent away again.

mr and mrs robbins gave you the best childhood that they could, and for awhile the pain of your origins are tucked away neatly in a draw that you don’t open very much. instead you excel at your education, throwing yourself into dance lessons enjoying the moments you could snag with your parents (they were busy people, you learnt very quickly not to hold it against them).

still things become harder as you get older, you’re the odd one out at that fancy school  you attend. thought you’re not sure how they first found out. here is the first appearance of the fighter inside of you. it will be harder for you to ignore things now. your parents are called several times because you had lashed out at the people who had refused to leave you alone. you are told that were it not for your parents standing in the school community you would have likely been expelled. you are still incredibly proud of that black eye.

you take up martial arts as a compromise, with the understanding that you will behave in a manner more befitting your station in public. the fighting doesn’t really stop you just learn to mask your behaviour. a real sign that you are your fathers daughter.

at sixteen you’re sneaking into clubs making a name for yourself in the new york club scene. you only learn later that photos of you drunk and throwing up into a gutter are only going to undermine you later.

your parents passing in a mutant rights demonstration changes everything, throwing you into a world you’re not ready for. people want you to be an adult, but your nothing more than a child in your mother’s shoes. trying so hard but failing so fast. you easily see the bad sad of humanity, despite the fact that you come out relatively unscathed. it changes you, your angry and most importantly lonely. feelings that really wouldn’t go away.

the loneliness of being alone opens up things you had tidied away years ago. who were your birth parents? why did they give you up ? stupidly it would seem in hindsight you were trying to fill the space left by your parents with people you didn’t even know.

when the name on the test reads bruce wayne it stops everything. the first emotion you really remember is confusion. it was supposed to be someone you didn’t know, someone you could put behind you rather than someone who had been in the background for your entire life.

the first time you go to the mansion after the reveal you yell and scream as loud as your lungs could manage. how could he do this to you?? give you up to people who would manage to rip you apart. he hadn’t known, he couldn’t have, but you blame him for it anyway. him and them, the mutants that cause the accident, they’re the only ones you could, even as your brain tells you it’s stupid.

you remember telling him that you want nothing to do with him but even that doesn’t last too long. you move into the manor eventually, after digging your heels in and demanding to know everything. you find out about batman around the same time. the truth about your father, and as much as he knew about your mother.

that first year is hard, you are ripped from your life in new york and placed in a home that isn’t yours. the people in it are aching doing their best to heal from things that don’t involve you, and yet again you are unwanted by the majority a complication they don’t need.

still not everything in your life is bad, you are alive and for what it’s worth you have more family then you’ve ever had before. jason is the first to really make you feel at home. alfred assures you that the others will come around in time, you aren’t so sure.

taking up the cowl was technically dick’s idea, though you couldn’t become batgirl without permission from babs. just like everyone else in your family the bat becomes an outlet for your anger, a way to enact change and for a year you love it. you make the mantel your own and in some ways you’ve never felt more alive then you do in gotham at night.

just like everything else in life however it is possible to outgrow the hero antics and at nineteen you are more than ready to be something more than just batman’s sidekick. so you follow your heart and you leave. the next few years are a bit of lost time. you travel a lot (you parent’s money lets you) never really staying in one place for too long. still that doesn’t mean you don’t try for some form of stability. england is your favorite, grey skies and cups of tea, but somehow you always end up back in the states. especially after things there end badly. you get your heart broke and you can’t see the direction your pointing in anymore.

how predictable that you’d end up in new york again, some days feeling like you’d never even really left at all. still this time your not some wealthy girl. you’re enrolled in the police academy, you work your ass off and you’re on the streets by the time your twenty seven. it’s the perfect balance for you between the rush you used to get as batgirl but also working within the law. you can’t help but enjoy the fact you don’t need to cover your face.

still you’ve picked up a habit of moving on: new york, star city, gotham you’ve worked in each of them. paragon was an odder choice, after so long running from your family, your birth father’s legacy, but at the same time it feels like a good way of touching base for a while. besides, with everything that goes on in town, it’s probably a good idea to have a cop on hand who actually knows how the hero gig works.

her entire life goal (when it comes to the batkids) is to be considered the cool aunt though the extent to which that actually is questionable.

Nazar

After desperately looking for a good desi TV show I finally decided to give Nazar a chance! This was my first ever experience with desi supernatural genre and I kinda liked it. Let me be clear, I had been following this show through insta clips for past month and totally loved the Chudail character 🙈 and I am not disappointed! She is a fucking trip 😁 I love her! So what did I like about the show? Multiple things!

The main antagonist, Dayan. Mohana is one bitch that I love. One of the best antagonists on ITV. Smart, calculative, cold hearted and a total badass. The show revolves around her and rightly so. Though I intially found her to be a little shouty (I made that up) but the most of the ITV characters are loud like that. Her demeanour has toned down quite a bit since then so its all good!!

The crisp story telling. Maybe because its a finite show, the story is well developed. The basic plot was laid out in first few episodes and that hasn’t much changed over the months. even the changes which probably weren’t a part of the show initially have been integrated quite well. A 4 lions show without plot holes or loose ends? Mashallah!!

The ML isn’t really an asshole. Again a 4 lions/ current ITV ML who isn’t a pain in the ass! What a rarity!! Though Ansh has his moments of being an asshole but there is a solid reason behind it! Its a case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. When he is in his Mr. Hyde avatar, he is bad with everyone. Though generally Ansh is essentially a really good person.

The FL is not a manic pixie dream girl. Another trope that I am so fucking sick of. She is a regular girl who is kind hearted but is focused on her goal and will not hesitate to do anything to achieve what she wants. Though Piya comes from a broken family and traumatic past. But eh, I’ll let it pass.

Ruby aka chhoti dayan. This one was a revelation 😄 I love Ruby and her antics!!!

The styling: I can’t tell you how happy I was to see that not every character is fucking colour coordinated like some band party on day to day basis. And apart from that too, the styling is pretty good! Not sure if its Shirali who is styling this show. But whoever is, keep up the good work!

Brotps: No where close to the Obro bond, but the relationship between siblings and cousins is pretty sweet. I just wish the show focused some more on these relationships.

Of course there are somethings that I don’t like! Will I ever be fully satisfied by something? Only god knows! What I don’t really like:

The heavy religious symbolism. Considering its a supernatural show I was expecting some. But the amount of pooja/prarthana is a bit off putting at times! I just FF through the artis.

Pati/Patni ke pyar ki shakti. Initailly the relationship between the protagonist and antagonist was pretty technical. One was a Dayan and other was a Daivik (basically her antithesis) and that was good enough!! But ever since Piya and Ansh got married the emphasis on typical patnivrata dialogues are increasing. Which is more annoying than the religious connotations.

Hopefully the show stays like this till the end!!

Yoongi has just discovered his neighbor that he thinks is too damn loud is actually an internet camboy.

Chaos ensues when they start seeing each other. Things get hard–literally.

Family!au where Jimin’s just trying to survive high school, Taehyung keeps weirding everyone out, Namjoon is an embarrassing dad, Jin is supermom, and Jungkookie’s just along for the ride.

4) Trolling ARMY (OT7, brotp, no pairings, BTS universe)

“The boys play a game where they compete to see who can get the most "shippy” comments of the week.“ Yoongi watched from an armchair on the other side of the room, trying not to chuckle. Ever since he’d learned the term shipping, he’d watched his brothers with a different eye. None of them were gay–though Namjoon had once drunkenly pontificated at length about his distaste for labels–or interested in one another. But they were all a little…handsy.

5) TRB in NYC (OT7, brotp, no pairings, BTS universe)

"What happened?” Namjoon asked, his voice tight. They had been skirting around him all day. As if he didn’t know. He found it darkly funny. His English was better than all of them combined, even their manager. He’d read the tweets, the posts, the threats. He’d tried to keep the other members from it as much as he could, but everyone had an inkling things had escalated past normal fan stuff.

“We’ve had a credible threat.”

Based on the threats that they received when they performed at New York. BTS hurting and comforting each other.

6) 7 minutes in heaven (*)

“It’s a fusion game. The person who spins the bottle gets to ask the person it landed on truth or dare, and if that person doesn’t want to answer or do the dare then they either take a shot or take off an article of clothing,” Jin says like he’s proud of improvising such a fantastic game.

“I’m not playing that,” Yoongi says. “Hyung, don’t be a party pooper, are you scared we’ll learn your secrets?” Hoseok asks and Namjoon ah’s dramatically. Yoongi shakes his head and puts his tongue in his cheek before he smiles at their antics, pushing Namjoon over closer to Jin so that he can sit down. “Please, hyung, it sounds like fun!” Jungkook says. “It’s my birthday.” 

I’m a simple girl. I love seeing a devoted and whipped Yoongi for Jimin even before they start dating. I love an innocent and kind Jimin crushing on his firend’s older brother who is kinda a bad boy and very cool. And I love BTS getting together, spitting embarrassing secrets and playing spin the bottle. This fic has all these elements and that’s why it’s one of my favorite readings of the month.

7) #mindreading Series

It’s my first time reading a fic in which someone has a gift because I’m more into stories that aren’t too fictional, but apart from Yoongi being able to read people’s minds, it doesn’t have any other “supernatural” elements so I decided to give it a try and I really enjoyed it. It was super cute reading about Jimin’s thoughts about Yoongi and I liked how the author developed their relationship and Jimin’s reaction towards Yoongi’s gift.

Jimin is excited to just sleep for a day and maybe catch up on some tv shows at the hotel.

That is, until they get to the new hotel they’re staying at, and he gets handed a room key that’s the same as Yoongi’s. Meaning, he and Yoongi will share a room and worse, he and Yoongi will have to share a bed.

“Why do I have to share with Yoongi-hyung?” Jimin complains. He’s managed to avoid it this whole trip which is really in his best interest if he wants to keep his raging heart boner for him hidden.

AKA my response to Yoonmin sharing a bed, 8 years too late.

BTS universe. I liked this whole idea. Just... just go read it *blushes and hides*

11) The Songbird and the Sea (*)

(pirate au, contains smut, Yoongi/Jimin + Jungkook/Taehyung, Namjoon/Seokjin)

But when his island is attacked by pirates, Jimin will have no other choice than to do as they command and leave all thoughts of peace behind in favor of boarding the Agust, a pirate ship captained by the infamous Min Yoongi, Black Fox of the East.

GO READ THIS MASTERPIECE OH MY GOD. I’ve never been interested in fiction heavy aus like pirates, superheroes, etc. but I’d heard such great things about this story, the author is lovely and this is the Yoonmin fic with the most kudos on AO3, so I decided to give it a try and BEST DECISION I’VE MADE THIS MONTH. It’s made me feel so many emotions. I’ve cried, laughed, screamed, blushed and became a mess. The author also gives music recommendations to listen to while reading the chapters and it gives the story that extra something (I actually created playlists for each chapter and I like them so much that I listen to them even when I’m going somewhere lol). Seriously, I’m obsessed with this story, the characters are freaking fantastic, the development is everything and what’s best is that this story is far from over. She’s planning on turning it into a series and I cannot wait to see how the story develops. Also, the author has a schedule so there’s a new chapter every week which is something that I appreciate a lot, especially when starting to read a work in progress (it’s almost finished, next week she’ll upload the epilogue and it’ll be complete). GO READ IT AND COME SCREAM AND CRY ABOUT IT WITH ME.

12) 흰 여름 (’White Summer’) (*)

“Diversity,” Namjoon had said when he had explained the concept to them, “Learning to love yourself, no matter what.” “We already did that,” Yoongi had pointed out, “Literally the same title.” But Namjoon, when he looked at him, had seemed strangely bright and somber at the same time. “Not like this,” he had said.

Or, Jimin and Yoongi have to kiss for an MV. And deal with the fallout.

BTS universe. F**k, this is good! I don’t know what to say but that as you may know I really like fics that are kinda canon compliant and this one is SO GOOD. The group is working on a new album and it’s kinda like love myself but riskier in the sense that it is a controversial topic in south korea. I just love it when people also write about the korean music industry (even if it may not be 100% accurate, but let’s be honest, only the people working in it knows what’s up really) because I find it so interesting and not many people talk about it in depth. Of course, I can’t finish without saying that I really enjoyed the development of Jimin and Yoongi’s relationship, how Yoongi wasn’t aware of Jimin’s sexual orientation. A good fic right here!

~Too Much to Admit (Taehyung centric, OT7 Relationship)

The first time it happens, Taehyung doesn’t say anything because he doesn’t know how.

To start, I would like to say that this fic deals with a very serious and triggering topic for some so if you are not in a good mental place or you could be triggered by it please do not read it. This fic doesn’t have any pairings and it’s a BTS universe fic. It’s complete and I really enjoyed the different ways in which each member deals with what’s happening. In my opinion, the author did an excellent job at portraying each character and the way in which they would behave in such a difficult situation. I’m especially really liking her take on Jungkook because you can clearly see that he’s the youngest one, his confusion and anger clearly shows how much he cares about the well-being of all his hyungs. I don’t know, it’s such a heavy fic, but I really liked it.

What are 5 Brotp's you wish DC could've had?

Could’ve, Should’ve, Would’ve are like my favorite things to complain about with DC. (That and bad characterization.) These are mainly Brotps that had a pretty good foundation before N52 ruined it with some just plain old wishful thinking.

Rose Wilson and Damian Wayne: See their time in the Teen Titans together, it was legen - wait for it - dary. They both have come to terms with their pasts while at the same time still have issues with the “hero rules” and respecting authority. Not to mention their personalities and fighting styles really compliment each other. And I could see Rose acting as a sort of big sister/cautionary tale for Damian whenever he gets annoyed with the other bats. But DC doesn’t want Damian to have friends? Thank god they let him have Jon at the mo.

Irey West and Lian Harper: Those girls were tight, growing up together around the Titans will do that, and also set up to be the daughters eventually taking over their father’s roles which is super cool imo but then Lian was killed and N52 erased Irey and it looks like DC has just forgotten about them both at this point. 

Damian Wayne and Lian Harper: They would’ve driven all the adults NUTS.Like just imagine the antics! Recruiting Mia to help piss off Tim, setting Bruce and Ollie at each other’s throats even more often, just annoying the living daylights out of Dick and Roy. So much potential! It would’ve been great but see my above complaints about Lian and Damian. *glares at DC on my kiddos’ behalf*

Donna Troy and Jason Todd: Weird pairing, I know, but Jay had a huge crush on her as Wonder Girl (but like all the guys did sooo) and they both went thru dying and coming back and traveled the multiverse together and I totally think it would’ve made more sense (had N52 just not been a thing) for her to be a part of the Outlaws cause Kori and her are besties, her and Roy are super close, and if she and Jason were besties too then that would make more sense for the four of them to be a team rather than just throwing Jason in with half of Dick’s ginger army. Not to mention their personalities compliment each other.

Conner Kent and Jon Kent: This has so much potential! And DC! Just isn’t seeing it! Big brother Kon helping Jon with his powers and training, encouraging his friendship with Damian (”Cause every Super needs a Bat Jon. I’ve got Tim, Clark’s got Bruce, Kara’s got Steph; it’s just common sense!”), helping babysit him (cause the kid is ten) while Lois and Clark have date night or deadlines for the Planet or saving the planet, them playing with Krypto together! I’m going to force myself to stop there cause I just want them to be brothers so badly.

(CHRIS WOOD - MALE, 24) — have you met DOMINIC CAVANAUGH yet? word is that he is ASTUTE & FERVENT, though if you catch him on the wrong day, he can also be PARANOID & ALOOF. i heard that he is a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR, but don’t take it from me. when he was moving in, i thought i heard RESTLESS by COLD WAR KIDS playing from his apartment. pretty appropriate, right?

BACKGROUND:

dominic cavanaugh was born and raised in chicago, IL. — up until the age of 16.

he was the second born of four children; one older brother, one younger sister and a younger brother.

dom could almost say that he had the perfect, white picket fence life. ALMOST. however, there was one factor that consistently proved to be an obstacle for that reality — his older brother.

although first born, the eldest cavanaugh always appeared to be the black sheep of the family. his personality, for some odd reason, hadn’t blended well with the rest of the tight knit family. for as long as dominic could recall, he and his brother had a rocky relationship; the other always finding himself drawn to the wrong type of crowd and getting far too deeply involved with their antics. 

dominic ended up being the one to bare the responsibility on his back of taking care of their family; as said older brother was always far too busy vanishing during the daytime hours only to return back home, sneaking through the door and up the stairs during late night/early morning. he learned a sense of responsibility early; taking his younger siblings under his wing.

in spite of everything juvenile he’d done, dom still loved his older brother and in some ways, wanted desperately to look up to him. as much bad as he brought upon the family, there were rare moments that shone through which showed how much he truly cared for dom; always fiercely protective over him. no matter what, dom was the first person who’d rush to the scene to pick his brother up from stumbling along the sidewalks or lost in a shady abandoned warehouse.

HOWEVER, times took a drastic change when one day, after he finished his sophomore year, his brother had overdue debts owed to a certain rather notoriously dangerous group of men (men that he clearly underestimated), that they made sure the entire family would pay for.

(TW: VIOLENCE/DEATH) he’d decided to go on a road trip away with some friends for a week to the beach, taking a break from all of the stress from both school and his family, and that’s when he’d received the phone call that literally changed his life. five days into his vacation, and at 2 in the morning his dad began ringing his phone off the hook. ignoring it the first couple of times as he was trying to sleep, he eventually answered as it seemed to be urgent. “your mother has been stabbed.” was a sentence dom wasn’t bracing to hear at this time of night or so suddenly, and once it finally hit, he wasted no time in getting his clothes, etc. together and driving straight back home.

sure enough, he’d arrived at the hospital too late, when he came through and received news from the doctors that his mother had succumbed to her injuries. his father, only coming out with a few cuts and bruises thankfully, was distraught and devastated. it soon became clear that this was a message given by the gang that his older brother owed heaping piles of money to. 

this was the final straw that broke the camels back so to speak for dominic, and when the police began questioning the motives behind such a brutal attack, dom had no hesitation in throwing his brother and his illegal/reckless ways under the bus. soon enough, with the charges catching up to him, the eldest cavanaugh had been thrown behind bars — put in prison for a decade. with the knowledge now that dom and his family had been relieved of their careless sibling, they decided to up and move away from chicago; as they very clearly weren’t safe there. who knew when that sort of horrific incident would occur again, and to which member?

they moved to san fran, far enough away from their troubles. from there on out, dominic finished and graduated from high school. he went on to college where he majored in criminal justice and obtained his degree. inspired by the events that haunted his teenage years and the horrible decisions repeatedly made by his older brother, dom went down the path of becoming a criminal investigator. the people who murdered his mother had still been out there, and that nightmare would live on forever to linger over him like a storm cloud until he brought justice to her killers. 

his father owns a bar called Cavanaugh’s (naturally), where dom will commonly be found helping him during any free time he can manage to make for himself. whether he’s bartending thanks to lack of staff, or cleaning around the space, or just enjoying a drink, Cavanaugh’s has become a favorite spot of his.

PERSONALITY:

dominic is somebody who had to grow up quickly too young, so he’s far more matured than most 24 year old men his age at the moment. he’s also trying his hardest to stay true to his roots and remain a good guy, despite all the shit that life has thrown at him. with the immense stress of his job and the cases that weigh heavily on him, along with the past that he still has yet to overcome mentally, he’s constantly found drinking. not to say that he has a problem, per se, but he definitely tends to like to get drunk far more often than not. 

despite his maturer side, he still loves to be playful, a bit sarcastic, but overall he cares far too much for people that sometimes could make him an easy target to be taken advantage of. he puts his family first, always, and will make his brother, sister, or father his number one priorities above all else. this has proved to come between a few relationships of his in the past. 

OVERALL, DOM IS JUST NOT A GOODY GOOD GUY, BUT NOT A BAD GUY EITHER. he also hates drugs, clearly, he can’t be doing drugs with his field of work as he’s drug tested all of the time. but he is breaking some rules considering he’s going into records he’s not supposed to, looking into his mother’s murder case that had been closed years ago, and he also abuses his power to obtain information regarding his brother’s whereabouts and updates from his life in prison.
