Wer mir schon etwas länger folgt, weiß, dass ich kein allzu großer Fan vom Frühstücken bin. Morgens habe ich meistens keinen Hunger und alles, was mir vorgesetzt wird, so lecker es auch aussehen mag, ruft in mir Ablehnung hervor.
Würde ich diese ganzen, mir aufgetischten, Leckereien zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt angeboten bekommen…ich wüsste gar nicht was ich zuerst essen sollte. Nun denn, trotzdem wurde mir nur zu oft gesagt, dass das Frühstück eben die wichtigste Mahlzeit am Tag ist. Das bringt mehr Energie, der Kreislauf kommt besser in Schwung…ich bin mir sicher, jeder kennt diese Klischees.
Fakt ist jedoch, dass das Frühstück eine relativ durchschnittliche Mahlzeit ist. Es ist weder besonders gut, noch überdurchschnittlich schlecht für den Körper. Die einen sagen, dass regelmäßiges Frühstücken dick macht, andere wiederum behaupten, dass es sogar schlanker macht.
Während sich die Wissenschaft also darum streitet wie gut oder schlecht diese „wichtigste“ Mahlzeit des Tages ist, habe ich mir meine eigenen Regeln gemacht. Ich gebe zu, frühstücken tue ich noch immer nicht sonderlich gerne und vor allem nicht ausgiebig. Aber, wenn ich es dann mal als nötig erachte, morgens etwas zu mir zu nehmen, dann habe ich doch meistens eher das Verlangen nach etwas fruchtig Frischem.
Das mag vielleicht etwas merkwürdig klingen, aber mit etwas extrem Süßem oder zu Herzhaftem in den Tag zu starten, bringt mich völlig aus dem Gleichgewicht. Tatsächlich esse ich dann den Tag über viel zu viel, habe ständig Heißhunger auf etwas anderes und bin am Ende des Tages von dem ganzen Essen geschafft. Verrückt, welchen großen Einfluss diese eine Mahlzeit doch haben kann.
Hier sind also einmal meine drei liebsten fruchtigen Frühstücks-Ideen; besonders schnell, frisch und einfach.
Breakfast Granola with Apricots
Kiwi-Avocado Smoothie
Porridge with Strawberries
Kiwi-Avocado-Smoothie
2 Kiwis
1 kleine Avocado
150ml Kokosmilch
½ Bio-Limette (Schalenabrieb)
Kiwis und die Avocado schälen und grob zerkleinern. Dann mit der Kokosmilch pürieren und zum Schluss den Limettenabrieb hinzugeben. Den Smoothie einmal passieren et voila…fertig.
Kiwi-Avocado Smoothie
Müsli mit Kokos-Joghurt und frischen Früchten
150g Haferflocken
4 El Honig
1 El Zucker
1 Bio-Orange (Schalenabrieb & Saft)
50g Kürbiskerne
25g Mandelplättchen
1 Becher Kokos-Joghurt
frische Früchte nach Belieben
Am Vortag:
Honig, Zucker und den Saft einer halben (!) Orange unter Rühren aufkochen. Währenddessen den Backofen auf 100° Umluft vorheizen.
Nun die Haferflocken, den Orangenabrieb und die Mandeln zu der Honigmischung geben, gut verrühren und dann gleichmäßig auf einem Backblech verteilen.
Das Ganze für mindestens 30 Minuten backen bis es goldbraun ist. Das Müsli gut auskühlen lassen und anschließend luftdicht verwahren.
Am nächsten Morgen:
Die Früchte putzen und gegebenenfalls klein schneiden. Den Joghurt einmal kurz durchrühren, in eine Schale geben, mit dem selbstgemachten Müsli betreuen und zu guter letzt mit den Früchten garnieren.
Breakfast Granola with Apricots
Protein Porridge mit Erdbeeren
100g Haferflocken
100ml Pflanzenmilch
1 El Honig
Proteinpulver (ich nehme gerne anstatt reinem Protein-Pulver die Hälfte einer Superfood-Bowl Tüte* von feinstoff), Nüsse, Trockenfrüchte etc zum Verfeinern
einige Erdbeeren
Die Milch in einen kleinen Topf geben und mit den Haferflocken langsam erhitzen. Währenddessen den Esslöffel Honig einrühren.
Danach vom Herd nehmen, das Proteinpulver, die Nüsse und sonstige Extras hinzufügen und für 5 Minuten quellen lassen. In der Zeit die Erdbeeren putzen und in Scheiben schneiden. Auf das Porridge legen und fertig!

For some reason I am not a big fan of breakfast. Most of the time I am not hungry at all and I can’t bear the thought of food in the morning.
But I have to admit, eventhough I skip breakfast many days a week, sometimes even I have to see that breakfast might be a good idea. So than I always try to eat something light and fresh, often very fruity, coconut or granola based.
That’s why I made up a list of my top three go-to breakfast meals.
Kiwi-Avocado-Smoothie
2 Kiwis
1 small Avocado
150ml coconut milk
½ organic lime (zest)
Peel the kiwis and avocado and chop them coarsely. Add coconut milk and lime zest and purée it.
Granola With Coconut Yoghurt And Fresh Fruit
150g oat flakes
2 tbsp almond squish
4 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sugar
1 organic orange (zest & juice)
50g pumpkin seeds
25g almonds (planed)
1 can coconut yoghurt
fresh berries
The Day Before:
Heat honey, almond squish, sugar and the juice of half(!) an orange while stirring constantly.
Than preheat the oven to 100° C.
Pour in the oat flakes, orange zest and almonds into the hot honey mixture. Mash up everything properly and spread it evenly onto a baking tray. Bake for at least 30 minutes until the granola turned golden.
The Next Morning:
Clean the fresh fruits and chop them if necessary. Stir the yoghurt once or twice and fill it into a bowl. Add your homemade granola and top everything up with some fresh fruit.
Protein Porridge with Strawberries
100g oats 100ml plant based milk 1 tbsp honey Protein Powder fresh strawberries
Heat the oats. milk and honey slowly.
Then add the protein powder and let it soak for a couple of minutes.
Wash the strawberries, slice them into pieces and add them on top of the Porridge.

🍓 Overnight Oats... 🍓
1 cup oats
1 cup milk (includes dairy free varieties)
12 strawberries
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup maple syrup
15 blueberries
Remove the stems from strawberries and discard. Slice the strawberries into quarters lengthways; set aside. Layer the Oats, almond milk, cinnamon, blueberries, strawberries and maple syrup into two bowls or jars with lids. Cover and place in fridge and leave for at least 5 hours or up to 12 hours. When ready to eat, remove from the refrigerator and stir if desired or leave as a parfait. Enjoy! 💗
