I've spent hours obsessing over why I'm not good enough. Hours lost, standing in front of the mirror, studying my face and wondering if it's because I'm not pretty enough. Reading back old conversations and wondering if I'm annoying, too needy, too much. Will anyone ever stick around? I try so hard, but I'm just never worth it in the end.

Personally I don't agree with this?
I am trans and therefore a minority and one of the reasons I deleted Twitter and stopped looking into the politics of being trans is because it was a constant stress to my mental state. Every time I went online I felt like I was being bombarded by the politics of what I was - and it distracted me from WHO I was.
Being politicised is exhausting. I am exhausted by it. It causes me so much stress and at the end of the day, I remain unconvinced I can change any of it, even if it affects me directly.
I am very much afraid of what could happen to me. Already the government has used the pandemic as a distraction while throwing out some trans protective laws. But I can't actually stop them, you know? I can talk about it and protest it but simply living and staying alive is often the biggest political statement I have the energy to make. It isn't that I don't care, it's that I have realised I have to focus on my own wellbeing, even if that means involving myself less in the greater good. I am cynical, yes, but it's also a self-preservation thing.
Don't get me wrong - I vote and I keep involved with the facts. I simply don't involve myself in it too deeply, on a personal level. Posts, tweets, the rest - I don't really believe I can change anything that way. I use my voice where I can, to vote and the rest. But apart from that, I don't like to follow it too heavily. I feel that's my right as a human being and as someone trying to get through life, even if that comes across selfish.
I know this post is probably about the race riots in America right now - and that is a perspective I can't quite understand, fully accepted. Just giving my take on why I disagree with this as a general statement - no hate intended! Nor am I criticising the OP, those who agree with this, or the wonderful blog I reblogged this from xx
The statements “I don’t follow politics” and “I try to stay out of politics” are inherently privileged statements.
You don’t pay attention because you’re safe and not afraid of what might happen to you.

twilight
When my nails sink
in a pit of water,
i remember the ways
your fingertips
land from skin
to skin, flesh to flesh
without harming them
and inflicting wounds.
therapy— maybe they
were carved to
touch and heal that
some even flinch,
like some did,
like i did
but if i were to dip
my nails on water again,
i would let it stay
for far more while
even if it will burn
at the slightest touch
of sunset.

You know what it also is?
It's having your circulation cut off even when sitting on a soft surface because your blood pressure is so poor.
It's being unable to sit on the floor without at least a cushion because your butt is so bony it hurts.
It's rolling your shoulders and having them crunch, getting bruises from your joints clicking, your toes and heels cracking and snapping every step you take, because your joints are messed up.
It's this ugly furry hair growing all up your arms because your body is trying to keep warm and it's feeling cold all the time: how can you ever wear shorts when you are always chilly?
It's shorts slipping down your hips because even the smallest belt knotch isn't small enough and it's every outfit you own looking like a bin bag dumped over a skeleton.
And being videoed at a low angle? Yeah, no double chin, but those bruise-coloured bags under your eyes are far from ideal.
I don't like this post. It's stupid, it's inaccurate, it's glorification. Don't think this is what you get when you fall down this rabbit hole. There's nothing pretty about looking like a walking corpse (which someone HAS actually called me before) and there's nothing comfortable about getting chest pains every time you roll over in bed.
Get a grip. Reality and fantasy are not the same. Sheesh.
Does anyone else look at thinspo or just any slim person and think they look so comfortable? Like they can sit down and not have to adjust their shirt because of stomach rolls and they can easily be videoed at a low angle because they never get a double chin and their shorts just fit so nicely around their tiny waist and they just look so beautiful with their carved jawline and collar bones and IM SO JEALOUS BECAUSE IM UNCOMFORTABLE ALL THE TIME

Every day is the same and existing just feels so pointless. I'm empty all the time; I feel like a ghost, like a dead person. Every second I'm not distracting myself, I remember how crushingly lonely I am and it brings me to my knees every time. Feels like all I'm ever going to know is sadness and loneliness and a loss for something I can't ever quite identify. It's desolate, heart breaking sadness and all I can do is feel it.

My blog is not NSFW, but I cannot help thinking this is an absolutely terrible decision on Tumblr's part. The general celebration of bodies and absolute freedom to express yourself HOWEVER you want to is part of what makes this site, and censoring it is the beginning of killing this platform. Instagram is for keeping it clean and suitable for show and tell. Tumblr is used by all kinds of subcultures, those who are unable to express themselves so freely in other spaces. Taking away this freedom is taking away part of what this site is, and I wholeheartedly disagree with that. Bad decision. Can't help feeling this is RIP for Tumblr as I've always known it to be honest.
A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

I was tagged a few days ago by @roninwritingofficial to answer some questions in Ten Question Tag so here are my answers... 1. Weirdest character ever written I haven't really tried writing any weird characters. 2. Do I like to share my work. yes I do, hopefully others like it and get something positive from it. 3. Self or Traditional Publishing. for now I self publish but would love to be picked up by a publishing firm. 4. What story do I want to write most of all. I don't really have a particular story I want to write, but I would love to write a novel one day. 5. Which of my works would sell most at the box office. I don't know, but I would hope that my myth based stories would do the best. 6. Have I ever written on a type writer. Yes I have when I was in elementary school. It was ok except when I would mess up. Having to correct a mistake was the worst. 7. Have I ever made a sound track for a piece. that would be a no. 8. How long is my longest work. I think my longest work is about 250 to 300 pages. 9. Have I ever practiced autographs. Yes a long time ago, but I have really ugly hand writing so I really only sign my name now. 10. Who's a person I know that isn't a writer but should be. I would have to say my friend Claudia. She has such great ideas that she should write down. Here are my ten questions... 1. What inspires you? 2. What do you love to do most? 3. What is your favorite art form? 4. Are you from an artistic family? 5. What is your favorite book or books? 6. What is your favorite movie or movies? 7. What do you want people to know most about you? 8. Do you collect things and if so what? 9. Where do you go to be alone? 10. How does your creative mind work? @abillionlittlethoughts @br-o-ken-poetry @deadsensescompany @frncs-the-poet @roman--empyre I've only tagged a few people here, but please do feel free to answer my questions yourself. They're open to everyone 😏.

Love you dickheadddd ♡♡♡ And I'm so glad you started messaging ♡♡♡ as you should know!!! And i so believe in this post too, social media hierarchy is a TOXIC thing, we are all equals, people should treat others with respect, and having 50K followers does not mean you're worth any more than someone with just 50 ♡♡♡ And VICE VERSA! Happy Birthday my dude xox
I just have to say that if somebody has a a handful of followers whether it’s 20k or 50k and they don’t take the time to even LOOK at your message, I find that kind of rude. I honestly try my best to get back to you guys whenever I can, and it’s funny to see that I’ve sent guys on Instagram messages complimenting them on how they look or if I like their photography… and nothing. I just checked on a message that I sent since February and it hasn’t even been seen. I know a friend @br-o-ken-poetry who has over 54k followers and he is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. His follower count always scared me and one day I decided to tell him how much I loved his poetry. Less than a week later, he told me thank you and appreciated the message. We began talking every other day and even followed me after a week of talking. Now, we’re friends, sending each other gifts for our birthdays and talking to each other when we’re down and need advice. I honestly never thought that something like that would happen. And just because he has way more followers than me didn’t mean it made him any better of a human being than me. It also didn’t mean it made me any LESS of a human being than him. We are all equal and nobody should be scared to talk to anyone. Anyway, my point is… fame can get into people’s heads. And that’s such a dangerous thing. I always remember where I come from and who I am. If you’re taking the time to message someone, no matter the follower count (okay maybe less than 100k lmao) they should get back to you. If they don’t, then they’re not worth wasting more of your precious time on.
