(SCROLL THE IMAGES) Instagram censored bpd content and I need your help to stop this. Bpd (borderline personality disorder) has so much stigma already and this is absolutely unnecessary. People with bpd have been invalidated and dismissed for too long. If you know someone who suffers from this remember that what they are feeling it’s real, it’s valid. The pain sometimes it’s unbearable, add the lack of compassion, stigma and exclusion. Having bpd is not fun, it kills around 10% of those who suffer from it. Statistics of suicide attempts range from 75% to 90%. Stigma kills, lack of awareness kills. I acknowledge that some posts might be triggering however, this doesn’t mean that the whole community should be shut down. There are so many wonderful pages which help spread awareness, give insightful information and connect people when they most need it. Suffering from bpd brings so much loneliness and the hashtag was a way for people to relate and feel understood. Censorship is not the answer. Please please scroll the images and sign the petition that I have added on my link. Thank you @bpdhumans for spreading awareness. Also, if you intent to be sarcastic or unhelpful I will block you. DBT Skills: Radical Acceptance
Radical Acceptance means you acknowledge your present situation, whatever it is, without judging the events or criticizing yourself. Instead, try to recognize that your present situation exists because of a long chain of events that began far in the past.
Denying the chain of events does nothing to change what has already happened. Trying to fight this moment or say that it shouldn’t be only leads to more suffering for you. Radical acceptance means looking at yourself and the situation and seeing it as it really is.
Keep in mind that radical acceptance does not mean that you condone or agree with bad behavior in others. But it does mean that you stop trying to change what’s happened by getting angry and blaming the situation.
Radical Acceptance Coping Statements:
“This Is the way it has to be.”
“All the events have led up to now.”
“I can’t change what’s already happened.”
“It’s no use fighting the past.”
“Fighting the past only blinds me to my present.”
“The present is the only moment I have control over.”
“It’s a waste of time to fight what’s already occurred.”
“The present moment is perfect, even if I don’t like what’s happening.”
“This moment is exactly as it should be, given what’s happened before it.”
“This moment is the result of over a million other decisions.”

What is a way to have a happy relationship and life with someone with a borderline personality disorder?
This is a great question. The answer is actually more simple than you may have expected. The best way to have a happy relationship with someone with BPD is to understand the disorder. Understand why they do what they do. Ask them for clarification if needed. Never jump to conclusions when working with someone with BPD. Nothing is what it seems. Know that any "manipulative" behavior is not on purpose. Most people with BPD don't know they seem like they're being manipulative. Know that a common symptom of BPD is fear of abandonment. Always let your SO know that you love them and are there for them. Also be there to help them through emotional instability as this may cause impulsive and self-destructive, risky behavior. Help them keep their mind occupied.

Need BPD help!
I went to college for four years and graduated with my BA in music. I took a year off of school to explore Chicago and now I'm in grad school for my Masters in Education: Middle and Secondary Ed.
I was diagnosed with BPD at age 19 after a suicide threat and multiple trips to the hospital. I know I have problems with identity disturbance and that's never changed.
Problem is that now I don't know if I should go back to school for psych, pre-med or stay with teaching. This all stems from me watching Grey's Anatomy. I know it's probably my BPD but I don't know what to do about it.
It sounds so stupid but it's a real struggle and it's not something I like either.
