Of you could have a dragon from httyd what one would you choose and what one would you choose for others?

Ooh good question!

I think if I could have any dragon from HTTYD it would be a Deadly Nadder 🤔 they're loyal, fierce, and quick (also I may or may not have had a crush on Astrid when I was a kid)

For the others

Price: I think something big and robust would be good for him because (my interpretation of him) he's very self-assured in his decisions, he's usually not too quick to anger, but if somebody wrongs him or the people he cares about, well...

So definitely a Boulder class dragon, like a Crimson Goregutter, or a Hot Burple, or a Gronkle

Ghost: in my current HTTYD au (Perched Unlikely) I have him with Stoker class dragon, the Hobblegrunt

I'm aware that Stoker class is meant to be hot headed or whatever, and Ghost doesn't seem like he's hot headed, but hear me out; fandom wiki says it's main abilities are A) camouflage and B) the large frill at the back of its head that allows it to sense the environment around it, as well as other dragons and their emotions

Now tell me that doesn't fit The Ghost, right?

Soap: in my au I currently have him planned as having a Sharp class dragon, the Speed Stinger

To explain, first of all they're pack dragons, and I headcanon soap with a big family so that just makes sense to me. They're very loyal to the leader, who id the protector of the pack. Then onto their abilities they're fast for one thing, and well soap is the youngest to make it into the sas. They're smart and accurate, soap has to be smart and accurate to be demolition specialist and a sergent. And then the stinger, honestly how much fire do you really need if you alredy play with bombs, definitely wouldn't want to accidentally set of a bomb too early, and you need to be able to get in and out quickly to place bombs.

Gaz: for Gaz I have him with a Mystery Class dragon, the Changewing, and no it's not because people keep forgetting/replacing him :( (don't do that he is literally the only one in the 141 in with a braincell they will fall apart without him)

Anyway changewings have a the best camouflage of any dragon, and idk if anyone has noticed in the games but there aren't not time qhen Gaz has to take down a target in more public areas, so being able to lot get spotted for as long as possible feel Important (to me at least). They also have acid spitting attacks instead of fire abilities, which is much more discreet, and has the capability to melt through many materials including metal.

These are the original dragon class marks that were seen in the Book of Dragons short of How to Train Your Dragon. There are seven classes and each class was marked with a picture of a dragon in that class, before Fear class was taken out for Tracker class that the Deadly Nadder was was moved to from Sharp class, and the third HTTYD film reveals that these marks were updated to symbols that look a bit like elemental marks.

What the dragons in the marks are:

Stoker mark - Monstrous Nightmare

Boulder mark - Gronckle

Fear mark - Hideous Zippleback

Sharp mark - Deadly Nadder

Tidal mark - Scauldron

Mystery mark - Changewing

Strike mark - Night Fury (Toothless)

Boulder class dragons as pokemon types

Like the stoker class post, I will assign the dragon type when appropriate.

Catastrophic Quaken: rock/flying, rock/dark, or pure rock due to the aggressive nature and how it's a Boulder in the Boulder class.

Crimson Goregutter: I want to say rock/fighting due to the tail, rocky bumps on the back, and antlers. Also the coloration and protective nature. The crimson Goregutter was designed as a prehistoric creature. Most of the fossil mon are rock type and the prehistoric Koridon is part fighting.

Eruptodon: rock/fire for obvious reasons.

Grapple Grounder: Ground/dark or ground/flying or pure ground for the name and mercilessness.

Groncicle: rock/ice for also obvious reasons.

Gronckle: pure rock, rock/flying, or rock/ground due to inherent rocky-ness and Arial mobility.

Hotburple: pure rock or rock/ground for resemblance of the Gronckle but slower and lazier.

Sentinel: rock/flying or rock/ghost for statue like body, STAB air slash, and roll of protecting Vanaheim and its residents.

Shovelhelm: ground/flying or pure ground for being trained for construction.

Snafflefang: all I got is pure rock or rock/flying for bulkiness and rock eating.

Thunderpede: rock/fighting or pure fighting for coloration, large forearms, and lack of an exoskeleton.

Whispering death: ground/dark for cave dwelling, aggressiveness, digging capabilities and just by looking at it. I can probably also have earth eater.

Screaming Death: a mix of ground dark and dragon for the same reasons for the whispering death plus the legendary status.

Faultripper from the 9 realms: ground/dragon for digging and legendary status. Plus the purple flames.

It was raining when I got into the bouldering gym, so me and a friend were just like =A= trying to warm up.

One of the staff just pauses while he's passing by, looks and us and is like 'Is it cold?'

WHILE IN A TSHIRT, lskdflaksfd ahahha. There was much grumbling. 😂😂

Though, I did eventually get warmed up enough to take my jumper off, while friend was still in layers and her hands were freezing. -- Substitute teacher at breakdancing again.

So headstands, handstands and shoulderstands practice. :D

Aaaannd talk about fear of falling and hurting self and you do have to take tumbles to know it's not as bad as your brain thinks it'll be and siiigh yes very relevant for bouldering aha.

My thighs were dying when I got home from all the kick-ups I was doing. And now my shoulders have followed suit, whoof. 😅

Ya boy is (at least sometimes) climbing v4s now! That's solidly in the intermediate range. This isn't the most clean climb -- I'll do it again with less tippy-tappin' and faltering next time I'm in the gym -- but I'm still really proud of it. Those toeholds do NOT stick out far from the wall at all, so you have to be really careful with both foot placement and centering your weight above 'em to not slide right off.
