stan twins the canon cptsd brothers i will always think about all your unaddressed issues that would make perfect plot fuel for your spinoff
and also the whole 'stan getting that poem by bill via a website which contrasts with bill getting one from the axolotl via a website' foreshadowing thing
like idk i would love something like su future but like more optimistic, aka not an accumulated breakdown that has to be mostly resolved off screen at the end :/// but something thats being kinda addressed throughout? (although would love to see one of them turn into a monster thats always fun lol)
stan having severe issues from his dad and those years of being homeless that we keep on getting more info on but never really getting confronted on (the drifter catalogue and tijuana incident...), him being completely alone for like twenty years when running the shack before soos comes along to the point that 1998 is noted as his low point, and him not really learning about bill+what he did to ford until ages after he killed him if he ever did get the full context
while i think amnesia and everyone seeing him as a hero actually helped with stan's 'i'm a worse version of my brother' thing its still a lingering issue too and we now got him being insecure over his own hands
ford being immediately thrown from 'being tortured by bill' to 'being stuck in the multiverse and being chased by bounty hunters constantly', him fully expecting himself to die when destroying bill, and him only now being safe for the first time in 30 years ....relatively safe, he's still in constant danger because of course he is
idk in the end the series wants them to be happy and they deserve it, its why i wasn't too worried about the book being like 'ooh bill is back!! and the book is haunting ford' thing cos i knew they'll be ok

Do you think Tubbo would recognize the path Bad is going down, because it's one he's already walked down on?
This self-destructive behavior coming from a broken heart?
He hasn't seen Bad at his best, before the eggs got kidnapped. He's seen him a victim to grief more than a father. It's why the blue staining Bad's being isn't out of the ordinary.
But suddenly he starts carrying flowers to remind him of the love he lost, suddenly the void calls out his name even louder and suddenly Tubbo sees himself in the older demon.
And it's scary, because suddenly he sees what he has become, how it affects others.
And for the first time of many, he sees Bad walk down a road he's paved. For the first time of many, Bad is the one repeating Tubbo's mistakes.

Look, one of the fundamental things I keep an eye on for DC writers these days is "is this person plotting a story arc that has sufficient escape valves in case of cancellation".
Because, realistically, even if you've been handed a headline title and an ongoing run, any writer should be tying off their story every 12 months and immediately before every major company-wide event. They shouldn't need to yank that cord, but you can always tell the difference between someone who has figured out how to exit their arc in advance and has just had to compress the story, and someone who's been caught on the hop (for active examples of this, go read literally any comic leading in to either Infinite Crisis or Flashpoint, as everyone got shuffled on their titles after both. You can see when teams were informed they were about to lose their books and when books were needed for the event in terms of how the stories all suddenly pivot to Getting Stuff Done ASAP).
There is also the evil cousin, 'run extended beyond expected plotting and ideas' which can show up but obviously is a rarer beast to spot.

Hello! I hope you had a good holiday season! If you don't mind, I was wondering about Amren and what she is doing in Effloresce. I can't remember if Summer heist happened yet. Her boss, coworkers, and boss's totally-not-love-interest have fucked off to coerce human women to help them. Amren knows laws. She knows there will be consequences. She finds out about the Archeron ties to the city. Someone's going to tell her about the contract that will kill the ruling class of Night. She is the only rational one left on the ruling council.
Hi, thank you! I did- if a very, very busy one :)
If there were an emotional scale for the IC charting from Azriel at one end- having a centuries late break down, genuinely contemplating murder, off the rails, wings on fire, carnivorous shadows CHAOS- Mor would be dead in the middle- bristling with some kind of SOMETHING and concerned but not like. enough to do anything differently- Amren would round out the other side.
She's watching this all happen and gently yawning.
She's infinitely old.
(hello, thing that irritates me beyond belief in canon. She's old and otherworldly and!! why would that only manifest in mild grouchyness?? WHY)
We're pre-theft (which, ho boy, is going to be a fun one), but post almost everything else. Amren has been waiting out whatever stupid thing she knows Rhys will do, busy being a time bomb with a mate who?? doesn't know she's his mate? ridiculous, thinks Amren.
The thing is, she likes the Night Court. She also, at times, cannot help but look upon all these creatures around her like they're very small, brightly colored bugs and she's a hobbyist entomologist on her third aperol spritz watching them buzz flowers she planted, or occasionally die running into windows.
Amren knows things.
She's been waiting for Feyre to reveal some kind of SOME interesting Archeron intrepidness. For Rhysand to look at just the right record. For Feyre to try to go to the bank alone.
(For Azriel to pick up a crystal pitcher and physically start bludgeoning Rhys)
She IS rational, but like. Her goals aren't really...other people's goals. She's interested by what's happening. She has some serious thoughts about the current regimes long term trajectory. (Amren comes SWINGING into the Effloresce narrative.)
What's different, is that she's Night's second.
She's old enough she doesn't really make promises. But when she does, she keeps them. She's going to protect the Night Court, for the best possible future of the Night Court.

all these urban legends and folk stories of children with all-black eyes are like "THE CHILD SPOKE IN A STRANGE CADENCE!!!!!" with no other details listed, and like,
i guess those folks in those stories just couldn't handle running into an autistic kid with weird eyes at night idk #skill_issue #weaksauce
but if *I* hear a child crying or screaming in the woods at night, i am going into the goddamn woods. I'm really really not gonna like it. But I'm gonna do it.
and if I DO find a child in the woods, and then they look up at me, and they turn out to have demon eyes, WELL GUESS WHAT, BUDDY?!? THAT'S STILL A CHILD.
So unless they change form or like, reveal through dark magics that they are thousands of years old, then that. is. a. bab. And I don't care if it is a fairy baby or a monster baby or a ghost baby! A bab is a bab!
and if trying to return a child to a safe place gets me eaten, THEN SO BE IT. I would rather die young than grow old knowing I allowed my fear of a child with traits I don't understand to cause me to ignore the cries of a kid who might have needed my help!

As shippers we often talk about what makes Zutara work well together, but no relationship is perfect. So what do you think would be a potential problem in Zuko and Katara’s relationship if it turned romantic, do you think there’d be anything they disagree on, and how would they work through it and overcome it together?
like any other healthy couple, i'm sure that zuko and katara would undoubtedly fight from time to time - and that's a good thing, because a relationship where no disagreements ever happen points to some deeper problem with one or both parties, and their dynamic.
personally, i think any major fights zuko and katara have would probably stem from their position as world leaders rather than anything personal between the two of them. i can see them disagreeing on the right way to handle certain issues, especially in the early years of their reign when they're still figuring out their footing in both ruling and ruling together - but any disagreements of this nature would probably die down over time as they come into their own and learn more about each other and how to work together.
they might also occasionally squabble over petty issues (they are only human, after all) but they'd love each other too much to hold onto their anger for too long, and would probably be cuddling and laughing over how silly they were by the end of the day.
the show also tells us everything we need to know about how zuko and katara would work through their fights. would there be some yelling and harsh words at first? probably. but they would also be willing to genuinely listen to and understand each other, which would allow them to have a productive conversation about their needs and frustrations, and lead them to resolve any arguments effectively.
zuko and katara also have an advantage that few other couples have: the biggest fight of their lives is already behind them. i find it difficult to imagine that any problems they have with each other could ever surpass the betrayal in ba sing se, and having gotten over that, i doubt anything else could truly stand in their way.

The most recent session of the Starfinder campaign I've been in broke me so bad I had to go horizontal for a bit and then get the very last scene drawn <3 Tai really isn't allowed to keep anything good in his life.
After so many years they reunited at last in the worst way possible- and all this time neither of them have been able to let the other go in some fucked up co-dependency.
This arc was gonna be fun, they said. It's a Battle of The Bands event at Songbird Station for charity, they said. The team's Captain didn't sign up for his finally rebuilding confidence/mental health to shatter at Ikoma coming back into his life. Especially because it's unknown how much longer that Ikoma will even be alive for or if he'll even stay the rest of that time.
