Another routine vet visit, another chance to play fetch with my Spaniels in a new place while the eye vets occasionally interrupt (for probably important reasons), Tristan waggily gets cooed over by everyone, and Gwyn gets so much praise for taking treats from strangers in a brand new place. Success! Nice and relaxed, a little exhausted, on the way home!

EYE think that someone hangs mistletoe at the ranch as a joke on xmas and bezz takes turns doing big theatrical gay chicken smooches with everybody (it’s not gay to kiss the homies —marco bezzecchi) EXCEPT he won’t kiss celestino (TOO real. it IS gay to kiss the guy you want to be your girlfriend) and then he gets razzed about it until cele ends having to take some initiative and shyly smooches him on the cheek. and like. their faces get close together and bezz can feel celin’s breath on his cheek and his big hand curled into the fabric of his hoodie and braced on his shoulder and his lips catch on bezz’s stubble when he pulls away… anyway he thinks about it every day for a month

Clarence is one of my many (18!!) devilsheep that has recently undergone mass sterilization. There were too many of them for their pen, so now we've made sure they will not make any more baby sheep and can concentrate on making devilstrand instead.

Nothing particularly exciting happened today, sorry. But sometimes it's nice to have a relaxing day of red panda nuzzling, relaxing in a sauna, watching TV, and wandering around in confusion.

YES i have all four LH CDs, Mania, a signed copy of Jiminy and a signed copy of an Ocarina of Time guitar cover album i got from the guy's who opened for the Bear Ghost concert. plus a FUCK TON of vinyls including but not limited to all LH albums, the Oh Hello's Four Winds albums, the Arcane OST, the Coyote Tales + Foxlore album, Jiminy, So Much For Stardust, Danger Days, the anniversary edition of Deep Dark Valley and Angel Face. i love physical media so much

I love the plot twists in this show but I gotta admit, I had 'Molina' pegged as the real killer the second we found out Honey was just an actor. I'm sorry, but you just can't hire Iwan Rheon and not use him to his full ability at playing an unhinged psychopath . it just wouldn't have been fair to him

it’s early still and we already know i don’t know ball from the last time i declared i was feeling good about the team and it seemed like they’d turned a corner only to have them turn around and nearly get swept by the Tigers (and then actually get swept by them a week later)

but the Dan Wilson team feels a little different?

it’s an insignificantly small sample size so far obviously (you cannot discern patterns from 4 games in a 162 game season). they’re still not scoring a TON of runs overall. but it feels kind of like they’re gritting out runs in a way they weren’t doing before? feels like they’re stealing a lot more, at the very least. which, if you’re struggling to score runs, makes sense - obviously it doesn’t help with the strikeouts, but if you can get yourself in position to score on a single or a sac fly, you can take better advantage of the hits when they happen. (had a moment of wondering if maybe they were trying to mess with expectations by stealing more often but we ARE 10th overall as a team this year for stolen bases. there’s a bigger gap between the #1 team and us vs. us and the #30 team, but the average overall for the league is 98 SB and we’re at 107.) (honestly what i’m REALLY curious about is Cal going for a bunt last night. it wasn’t even a sac bunt situation! there was no one on base! what was up with that. you’re fast but idk if you’re THAT fast. anyway.)

maybe they’re just getting luckier and chaos ball is breaking their way a little more (that 3-run HR does not happen without a fielding error and a weird little dribbler that hits the bag instead of going foul). maybe they’ve just decided they’ve got nothing to lose and they’re not going to get the division lead back by playing it safe. maybe Dan is actually making different game decisions than Scott would’ve made and they’re making the difference. or maybe this is all just a fluke and they are simply winning games lately thanks to the whims of god and as soon as they have lost divine favor they will go back to losing! who knows.

at the very least, they feel a little more fun to watch, and that’s gotta count for something right? (especially for me, who has been and will continue to be at every game this homestand and cannot just turn off the tv if the games get miserable lmao)

yesterday we ended up adopting two 3-4 month old kittens from our local vet + animal rescue (they work together they aren't joint) we took a long bit to figure out a name but my joke name ended up sticking and so now we have Misdemeanor (the long hair) and Felony (short hair)

they're both pretty skittish still but just a few hours after arriving home yesterday they started to warm up to my brother and I, they let us pet them, started to come toward us when called, purred and flopped down next to us, and even fell asleep with my bro in his bed during the night ♥

I was honestly a bit worried we were getting them to soon after our family cat Marshmallow had to be put down. It's been about a month on the dot. But I felt we just all couldn't stand the house feeling so empty after her passing, we had her for 12-ish years and she was the light of our life. We love her so much and she loved us so much in return and having that abruptly taken from us I think affected us all very intensely.

Having a new cat (in this case two) to put all that affection we still have toward I feel is helping us to heal and know that we did the right thing imo.

We still have a lot to learn about these rascals and a lot of gentle training to do (mostly allowing to be pet, picked up, touch their paws and ears, etc) but I'm excited for the adventure and I know we'll do everything in our power to make sure they also stick with us til they're old and grey.

I've been binge-watching the entirety of "Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (+ movie) with my buddy Syber & man is that show good. First of all with the art style, character designs & animation, but also writing and score.
