Tim Through the Years - Meet the Class

Series Masterlist

Summary: Tim meets your class of 25 five-year-olds. 1.2k+ words.

“Hey, can I run something by you?” you asked Tim while you were having lunch at his desk.

Tim looked up at you mid-bite of his shared sandwich. He chewed quickly and asked, “Of course, is everything okay?”

You softly bit your lip. “Yes. I know you aren’t a fan of community outreach, but will you come to my class and talk about safety and what to do in an emergency?”

Tim gave you his million-dollar smile “I’d be more than happy to come and talk to your class. I get to spend a whole morning with a beautiful lady.” He leans over and kisses you. “I also get the added bonus of being away from Lucy, too.”

You shoved him slightly. “I think you like the latter more.”

“Hey, that’s police brutality. I might have to handcuff you to this desk all day and then you’ll have to hang out with me.” Tim smiled as he spoke.

“Aw! You two are just so cute!” Lucy said when she walked up to the desk.

“Hi Lucy, how are you?” you turned and asked her.

“I’m doing well! Do you think we can have a girls night with me, you, Angela, Nyla and Bailey? We could go paint pottery or watch a movie or go laser tag or…." Before Lucy could finish, Tim sent her a glare.

“Can I help you with something, Officer Chen?” Tim growled out.

“Our suspect is ready to talk,” Chen said to Tim.

“I’ll see you later,” Tim told you as he kissed the top of your head.

“Bye Tim! Bye Lucy! We definitely have to get together soon!”

You wave them off as you pack up and leave. 

You paced back and forth before school started, waiting on Tim to arrive. You were extremely nervous because your students, while awesome, were very protective of you. They’ve stopped a presentation before because the man who was talking about his job told the class that they could do better than being a teacher. The poor guy got booed and slightly bullied by the group of 5-year-olds, so you just hope that today goes over well. Tim texted you to let you know that he would be a little late due to the fact he saw a crime being committed right in front of him.

When the bell finally rang, your group of students walked into the classroom all chatting away with each other. They put their bags up and sat down in the respective seats (it took a while for them to get down). 

“Good morning everyone!” you tell the class when the second bell rang.

“Good Morning Miss. Winchester!” they responded. 

You started the morning off with doing some freeze dance to get the kids ready to start the day. When that was done, you picked up right where you left off from yesterday. Some students still shouted out answers, but others would remember and raised their hands. You found it adorable how much they enjoy getting to learn. Soon, there was a knock at the door. 

“Class, we have a very special guest today who is going to talk to us about safety.” You walked up to the door, you let Tim and, to your surprise, two more officers in.

“IS THAT A DOG?!?!?!” a student named Ashley shouted.

All the students erupted in excitement, and you had to use your quiet hand gesture to try and settle the class as Tim, a K9 officer, and a small dog walked up to the front of the class. 

“Class, Meet Sergeant Bradford from the LAPD,” you announced to the students.

“Good morning, students, as you heard, I’m Sergeant Bradford, and today I’m talking about safety. Firstly, I brought two special guests with me, Officer Stan with his K-9 Officer Fuzz.”

Officer Stan smiled and greeted the students as Officer Fuzz, a small dachshund, barked excitedly as a greeting.

“I brought Officer Fuzz in today so you can understand what a K-9 is used for and when to approach one,” Tim explained.

“Officer Fuzz is used like any other police officer; he helps us find bad guys and can catch bad guys faster than we can. Officer Fuzz can run up to 20 miles per hour, so we typically send him in to run after someone. Officer Fuzz also helps smell out bad stuff for us to take away. You can approach a police dog at any time with permission from the Officer. If you do see a police dog chasing after someone or he looks angry, do not approach. He could accidentally hurt you because he’s trying to protect his fellow officers or trying to stop someone,” Officer Stan explained. “Any questions?”

Lots of hands flew into the air, so you called on a girl named Hanna to ask the first question. “Does Officer Fuzz stay at the station all the time?”

“That’s a great question! No, Officer Fuzz is technically my dog. So, when I get off work, he gets to go home and be with me. He also goes in when I do, so just like me, Officer Fuzz gets to be a normal dog when he’s not working,” Stan said.

The students continued their questions about Officer Fuzz and his handler. Before Officer Stan had to leave to go back to work, he released Officer Fuzz so he could run around and receive pets from everyone. Officer Fuzz ran up to you last and laid on his back for belly rubs.

“Aren’t you the cutest?” You bent down and gave the tail-wagging dog belly rubs.

“You might have some competition, Bradford,” Stan said with a smile and slightly nudged Tim. Stan called back Officer Fuzz and they both left with waves of goodbyes and a huge “Thank you!” from your students.

“Hello again! I want to tell everyone what to do if they feel unsafe or lost. If you get away from your mommy or your daddy, find a store worker or an officer to help you find your mom or dad. If you are in danger or hurt, call 911 and we will do everything we can to help you. Do we have any questions?”

“What do you do as a Sergeant?” Logan, a young student, asked.

“I am everyone’s boss; I tell them what to do and make sure their job is getting done. I am currently training someone to become a police officer, they are called a Rookie,” Tim explained.

Your students asked as many questions as they could until the lunch bell rang, and the class let out a collective grown in disappointment. 

“Can we have lunch with Sergeant Bradford?” Wade asked, and the other students jumped in to agree.

“I don’t think Sergeant Bradford can stay any longer, he does have to leave at some point,” you said softly.

“I can stay for lunch,” Tim said with a smile. The class cheered and you sent them to get their lunches and to have a private moment with Tim.

“You didn’t have to stay,” you said to Tim as you looked up at him.

“I’m more than happy to. Your students are wonderful,” Tim said with a smile, and kissed the top of your head.

“Did Miss Winchester fix your heart?” Johnny asked Tim, startling both of you. 

Tim smiled and looked at you. “Yeah, she did,” he answered, which caused you to blush.

Johnny’s eyes got all big and he quickly ran out to the other students.

“Guys!!!! Sergeant Bradford is Miss. Winchester’s husband!!”

You then hear a loud scream of joy and all the students running in to ask the both of you a million questions about this new revelation. It was going to be a very long afternoon.

Stranger Therapy

Eddie Munson x Steve Harrington

Summary: Based on this text post, Steve and Eddie match on Tinder and decide to go to couple's counseling on a first date to see how long it takes the therapist (Murray) to figure them out. Link to Ao3

It’s a match!

“Robin, it worked!” Steve shouted from the couch. She ran from the kitchen and joined him, peering over to stare at his screen.

“I told you it would! It’s funny!” she insisted. Steve rolled his eyes and anxiously pulled up the profile of his new match. 

“Oh, shit,” Steve said. “I remember swiping right on this guy. Didn’t think I had a shot.” He looked through the pictures. They were all candids, slightly blurry, or shots of him with his friends, but due to his distinguished look it was easy to pick him out even in a crowd. 

“Show me his bio,” Robin ordered. Steve closed out the pictures and scrolled until the bio was in full view.

Eddie, 25. Shit at bios.

“Well that’s kind of boring,” Steve said. 

“Yeah. You think he’s a bot?” Robin asked.

 “Or a catfish, maybe,” Steve mused. “Either way, I still think I should take your joke down. I don’t talk like that in real life, and people might get confused.”

Robin had convinced him earlier to change his bio and replace it with - let’s go to couple’s counseling and see how long it takes the therapist to realize we don’t know each other. Steve had been a little tipsy when he agreed, and he assumed nothing would come of it. But then, Eddie matched with him. 

“You’re thinking way too hard about this, Dingus,” Robin replied. “People write weird shit in their Tinder bios all the time.” 

“Eddie didn’t,” Steve countered. 

“Yeah, but look at him,” Robin responded. “He’s distinctive. It’s attention-grabbing in itself.”

“And I’m not?” Steve asked. Robin chuckled.

“You’re the kind of pretty where if you don’t have something witty in the bio, people will think you’re just some ignorant surface-level airhead who’s never worked a day in his life, and that’s not cute.”

“Okay, ouch,” Steve said. 

“It’s a compliment!” she insisted. “Like, you need to show that you’re witty and funny and able to poke fun at yourself, otherwise you’re going to attract the wrong kind of people.”

“And this guy’s the right kind, huh?” Steve opened one of the pictures back up - one where Eddie was passed out on the couch with a beer still in his hand. As they looked at the screen, a notification popped up. Eddie sent you a message.

“Let’s find out,” Robin said.

Eddie: If your bio is serious, I’m in

Steve: Wait, really?

Eddie: Yeah xD sounds fun

Eddie: You got a therapist in mind?

Steve: Honestly didn’t think I’d get this far

Eddie: Boo. 

Eddie: You’re lucky I know just the guy

Steve: Okay…

Steve: So how do we do this?

Eddie: Dude, it was YOUR idea

Steve: Ok but I’ve never done it before!

Eddie: Steve! I’m your first? <3

Steve: Yeah, yeah. I’ve never pranked a therapist before. 

Eddie: I hope you’re either rich or have really good insurance. Otherwise this is gonna be an expensive first date.

Steve: I got it covered. 

Eddie: I figured you did. I’ll call the guy in the morning and get back to you with the appointment time. 

Steve: Okay. How’s your night going by the way?

Eddie: Nope!

Eddie: That’s not part of the deal, Steve. We go into this blind or not at all.

Steve: This is insane.

Eddie: Once again, your idea. I’m excited. Are you excited?

Steve: Thrilled.

Steve: I’m still concerned about how you know the perfect guy for this.

Eddie: 😛

Eddie: Don’t worry about it.

“I don’t even think he’s serious,” Steve said after he recounted the entire interaction to Robin.

“I don’t know, Steve. Sounds serious to me.” 

“What if he’s like - not right in the head?” Steve wondered, reading the interaction over and over again. “Like, who is this therapist and why does he know him? Is he actually going to make an appointment? What if this whole thing crashes and burns?”

“I honestly think he plans on it crashing and burning,” Robin replied. “And then after, the both of you either hit it off and laugh about it forever, or you have an amazing failed date story to tell your friends until the end of time.”

“That’s…actually genius.” 

“I know.” 

Steve read the messages one last time, focusing on the bits where Eddie was mildly flirtatious. Steve! I’m your first? He could tell if Eddie was being condescending, or what vibe he was going to bring to this absolute insane first date. But, as Robin said, it would be a story no matter what. 

He tried to focus on that and not the anxiety that started brewing in his veins.

The appointment was set for two weeks later. Eddie still refused to talk to Steve other than for details on where to go and at what time, so for the whole fourteen days, Steve assumed he was being pranked right back. Eddie was messing with him, or he’d cancel, or Dr. Bauman didn’t actually exist, or he’d be murdered, or, or, or -

None of that happened. Instead, on a Tuesday afternoon, Steve pulled up to an office building about fifteen minutes from his apartment. He’d passed by it several times and never once wondered what went on inside. 

Apparently, really weird first dates.

They had decided to meet up in the parking lot and walk in together. The whole thing was crazy, but having one of them pick the other up so they could drive in together was way over what was needed to commit to the bit. 

Steve got there first. They needed to be fifteen minutes early to fill out paperwork. It was twenty minutes prior to their appointment time. 

This was weird. It felt a lot different than all the times he’d met someone for coffee. In another world, that’s how he and Eddie would have met. But no. He had to agree to this stupid thing, and now he was too far into it to back out. Jesus Christ. 

Eddie’s car pulled in a few spaces down. Steve knew it was him from the hair alone - unmistakable. He got out of his car and walked towards his date, his palms sweaty. Eddie got out of his car a moment later, eyeing Steve as he approached him and smirking. 

“What gave me away?” Eddie asked. 

“You think I wouldn’t recognize my boyfriend?” Steve snapped back, pleased at the way he was able to take Eddie off guard. 

“Touche. Well, come on, then. Let’s do this.”

Before they knew it, they were sitting in a cramped waiting room, alone, filling out paperwork. It consisted of insurance information first, followed by names and some quick background questions about the “couple.” Steve began filling it out, thankful that he was still on his dad’s fancy rich-person insurance. It covered basically everything, even fucked-up couples fraud with Dr. Bauman.

“Are you not worried I’m gonna, like, steal your information or something?” Eddie asked as Steve wrote down his policy number.

“I mean…should I be?” Steve responded. 

“No,” Eddie answered with a shrug. “I gotta say, though, you’re way more trusting than I am. It’s ballsy. I like it.” 

“Uhh…” Steve was trying to concentrate on the paperwork, but the compliment was throwing him off. “Thank you, I think.” He continued filling out the paperwork.

“You’re from Hawkins?” he asked. Steve nodded, absentmindedly. “I’m from Hawkins.” This caught Steve’s attention. 

“No shit.” 

“Yeah, seriously.”

“Small world,” Steve replied before turning his attention back to the form.

“You have a cute middle name,” Eddie teased. 

“Shut up,” Steve responded. He wanted to find Eddie’s pestering annoying, but instead he found himself smirking, even giggling a little bit. This whole thing was so ridiculous. He shoved the clipboard onto Eddie’s lap. “Your turn, lover.”

“Euch,” Eddie groaned. “That is not one of our pet names, no way.” 

“Noted,” Steve chuckled. He was…kind of enjoying this way more than he expected, as weird as it was. He’d grown accustomed to a lot of even stranger things in his life, so this didn’t feel as shocking as he’d initially thought. 

“Don’t look,” Eddie said as he covered the paper.

“What? Why not?” Steve asked, confused. 

“Because not all of us are as blindly trusting, Steven,” Eddie responded. Steve shook his head and looked away. 

“Good thing we’re in therapy to work that shit out, Edward Munson.”

“You looked!” Eddie exclaimed. 

“It was right in front of me!” Steve pointed out. 

“Fair enough,” Eddie sighed. “Okay, now we gotta put down a reason for doing this.”

Fast forward ten minutes, Eddie and Steve were seated next to each other on a relatively small but cozy burnt orange couch. The color was ugly, but the seats were comfortable. Steve noticed the cushions had a natural dip that kept inching him closer to the person sitting on the opposite side. He figured this was certainly intentional. 

The doctor sat in front of them, reviewing the papers the pair had just filled out.

“Hello, my name is Dr. Bauman, and one day I may let you call me Murray,” he began, his eyes fixed on the papers in front of him. “I see here on your sheet that you’ve been feeling distant from each other, and that you’re looking to feel more connected, right? Can you tell me more about that?”

“We’re just launching right into it, huh?” Eddie asked. 

“Well, we are on a time crunch here. Your decision how you spend it,” Dr. Bauman answered. 

The man was immediately intimidating.

“Ooookay,” Steve said, taking a deep breath. “Yeah, I guess it just feels like - like he and I don’t even know each other anymore.” Eddie stifled a laugh, covering his mouth with his hand to make it seem like he was maybe getting emotional or perhaps trying not to sneeze. 

“I see,” Dr. Bauman said, eyeing them both suspiciously. “Let’s begin with how you two met and we’ll go from there, okay?”

“We were high school sweethearts,” Eddie replied with a grin.

“Wow,” Dr. Bauman commented. “Well, it’s common for a lot of development to happen from then to now. How did you two get together?” Eddie looked to Steve, as if to say, you’re up.

“It just kinda…happened, I guess,” Steve began. “We were assigned as partners for a project and really clicked.”

“Yeah, and then we snuck around for a while. Sneaking kisses in janitor's closets and empty classrooms, you know the drill.” Steve tried not to blush at the thought of sneaking around with high school Eddie. If they were both from Hawkins, did they actually go to high school together?

“Snuck around for the thrill?” Dr. Bauman asked.

“No,” Steve responded. “I wasn’t out yet.” Eddie looked at him curiously, as if he wasn’t expecting Steve to say something so serious. He wondered if it was actually true. 

“Well, that and -” Eddie added. “- he was a popular jock and I was kind of a freak.” This time, Steve looked at Eddie curiously. Steve was a popular jock. Eddie could have assumed that, or made a lucky guess, but something told him that wasn’t the case. 

Eddie Munson. Munson. 

Oh.

Oh!

It took Steve a minute to recover from that information. They did in fact go to school together, they just had never interacted. Eddie obviously remembered, and he obviously knew that Steve didn’t. So what was the goal here? Was Steve being punked or something just so Eddie could get free therapy?

“Steve, you look a little pale there,” Dr. Bauman noticed. “Did that trigger something?”

“Yeah -” Steve croaked, now unable to look at Eddie. If he had, he would have noticed Eddie didn’t look as smug as Steve assumed he was. “Yeah, I just don’t think about high school that much anymore.”

“Why not?” the doctor asked. 

“Because, I - I’ve changed so much since then. I’m not that guy anymore, and I don’t want to be that guy.”

“Ah, I see,” he hummed. “So, Eddie fell for someone who no longer exists. I think I’m understanding the problem here. Eddie, do you feel that you’ve changed?”

Damn. This guy’s kinda good.

“Uhhh -” Eddie began. Neither of them expected this to get so serious so quickly. It didn’t even feel like it was about their imagined relationship anymore. “N-no, I don’t think I have.”

“And Steve, do you think Eddie has changed?”

Steve thought about the limited memories he had of Eddie in high school. Cocky, slightly unhinged, just as he was now. But there was something different, he just couldn’t really pinpoint what. Maybe if he’d talked to Eddie for longer than like ten minutes total in his life, he’d have a better idea. 

Then, he realized the point of this wasn’t to be serious. It was to make shit up. Steve pivoted back to the original plan. 

“Yeah, I mean -” He shifted in his seat, finding himself now thigh to thigh with Eddie, despite not meaning to be. “He’s, uh - it just feels like we don’t have anything in common anymore?” It was something he’d heard lots of couples say.

“Do you want to make this work?” Dr. Bauman asked. 

“Why else would we be here?” Eddie answered. Dr. Bauman narrowed his eyes. 

“You tell me.”

Eddie and Steve were kind of not good at this. Their story was based in truth and not very exciting. They both seemed to realize this at the same time.

“Steve slept with the dogwalker,” Eddie proclaimed. Steve scoffed, half-amused, half-offended. 

“Yeah, well you sold drugs to my mom!” he shot back. The two guys looked at each other, pretending to look angry while simultaneously wanting to laugh. 

“Woooah, there,” Dr. Bauman responded. “Now we’re getting somewhere. Do we want to begin with Steve’s infidelity or Eddie’s illegal activity?”

“That’s not gonna, like, go on record or anything, right?” Steve asked, suddenly anxious. “Like, the cops aren’t gonna show up at Eddie’s door?”

“Our door, babe,” Eddie clarified, not the least bit nervous. 

“Depends on how long ago this happened, I suppose,” Dr. Bauman answered.

“Long time ago,” Eddie said. 

“Are you still currently dealing?”

“No, I don’t even do drugs anymore. Well, like, except pot - but that’s legal now so it doesn’t really count, I think.”

“Dude,” Steve whispered. 

“You brought it up,” Eddie replied just as softly. 

“Right,” Dr. Bauman responded, taking it all in. “No report needed, then. Let’s move onto the dogwalker.” 

They continued to add to their lore as the appointment went on. At one point, Eddie even faked tears. His acting was…decent enough to avoid suspicion, thankfully. When the clock hit 1:45, their time was up, and they’d successfully managed to fool Dr. Bauman. Mission accomplished, date over. Right?

“Well, thank you so much, Dr. Bauman,” Eddie said. “I think you’ve really helped us out today.”

“Yeah, seriously,” Steve said, smiling. “We feel so much better.”

“Now hold on a minute,” Dr. Bauman said with his hands up. “There’s still a lot of work to be done, in my professional opinion.”

“There is?” Eddie asked, confused. 

“Oh, definitely. Most couples go to a minimum of four sessions, and that’s still a low average. Plus, this was only intake. I mean, unless you guys weren’t happy with the counseling I gave you today…”

It felt like a challenge, and Eddie loved challenges. Meanwhile, Steve was too awkward to come clean or tell the doctor they weren’t interested. 

They made another appointment.

“Well, that went pretty well, I think,” Eddie said as they left the building. 

“You knew me already?” Steve asked once they were a safe enough distance from the office and Dr. Bauman. “Why didn’t you say anything?”

“I just knew your name and face, man. And, like, your vibe,” Eddie answered. “Back in high school, anyway.” 

“You should have told me,” Steve said. 

“You should have remembered,” Eddie shot back. “Whatever, it was fun. Right?”

“Eddie, I have no idea what that was,” Steve replied. “We have to cancel that appointment.”

“Why? You don’t want to see me again?” Eddie grinned. Steve rolled his eyes.

“No, I - I mean, I don’t want to waste his time. That spot should go to other couples who need it. Meanwhile, we could go get coffee like normal adults.” 

“I dunno,” Eddie said, kicking a pebble in the road as they walked. “I kinda liked it. You can’t tell me you didn’t.”

It was true. Steve couldn’t say that he didn’t.

“Doesn’t matter.” Steve unlocked his car and made his way to the door. “We’re canceling.”

“He’s the one that wanted to see us again, Steve,” Eddie reminded him. 

“Yeah, because he thought we were an actual couple.” Steve was getting frustrated at Eddie’s antics, and the way he refused to back down. “I don’t know if this is gonna work, man. This has been, uh - well, it’s been weird, but I think -”

“We have to go, otherwise you’ll be charged a cancellation fee,” Eddie blurted out. It was a lie, a bold-faced lie, and yet -

“So, I’ll pay the fee. Can’t be more than the cost of a full session,” Steve figured. 

“Ugh!” Eddie groaned in frustration. “Okay, fine. Look - I’m annoying as hell, I’m a mess, I’m broke, and I could never afford someone like Dr. Bauman. I don’t know about you, but some of the things he said actually made me think and I kind of want to ask him about, like, real shit.” 

Steve stared at him blankly for a minute. 

“You - you want me to keep going to fake couple’s counseling with you so you can get actual therapy?” Steve asked, stunned. 

“I mean, you could work your shit out, too,” Eddie suggested.

“What shit? I don’t have shit,” Steve insisted. 

“Of course you do! Everyone does!” Eddie yelled. 

“You’re insane,” Steve muttered. The thing was, he wasn’t saying it out of anger. He was saying it in understanding. 

Because the thing was, Eddie had a point. Dr. Bauman was good at what he did, and Steve knew he’d never sign up for individual counseling. He already had the appointment. Eddie smirked. 

“You’re with me, aren’t you?”

Fuck.

“Fine,” Steve agreed.

What this isn’t: an endorsement of being weird to players in public spaces (in real life or comment sections, or on unlocked Twitter accounts)

What this is: a (hopefully) comprehensive collection and explanation of the (public!) friendship between two fan-favorite members of the 2023 WC squad

I know I’m missing stuff and it’s likely I’ll come back to add to this! Every time I try to add anything to this post the draft editor throws me an error message so consider this a part one. Please note this is a sideblog 🫶🏼

EMILY SONNETT

29 (as of the beginning of the  2023 Women’s World Cup)

Born in Virginia, but raised in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia 

Attended the University of Virginia, graduated with a degree in Sociology 

Was originally a midfielder, later converted to defense. Primarily plays centerback, but can play fullback on either side, and defensive mid

She is a Sagittarius (this is important)

KELLEY O’HARA

34 (as of the beginning of the  2023 Women’s World Cup)

Born and raised in the southern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia

Attended Stanford University, graduated with a degree in science, technology and society with a focus in environmental engineering

Was originally a forward (and in fact won the Hermann Trophy as college soccer’s top player, as a forward) but converted to play fullback on either side 

She is a Leo (I told you it was important. Twin fire signs 🔥)

THE BASICS

Sonnett’s first cap was against Brazil on October 25, 2015–she started and played all 90 minutes as a centerback (beside Becky). Kelley was on the bench. 

On Feb 15, 2016 they played together for the first time! They both started against Puerto Rico and Kelley scored!

Kelley was a good mentor to Sonny immediately, her little Georgia peach padawan

They didn’t appear to really get close until winter 2016-2017, when they trained together in Atlanta during the offseason and started to hang out in a smaller group and one on one 

Eventually they played on the same team (Washington Spirit in the 2021 and 2022 seasons) and won a championship together! (2021)

It was Kelley's first NWSL playoff run and her first championship, but Sonny's second championship (she won with the Thorns a few years before)

Kelley scored the game-winner in the championship final, in overtime, as a header. She does not typically score, much less with her head (she is like 5'4'' on a good day). It was insane.

Once they were friends they were BEST FRIENDS. Kelley loves to annoy Sonnett and has since day one. Couples massage!!, training together with Moe Brian

The 2019 World Cup parade was deeply chaotic: please beer and god they drank nonstop idk how they survived, they also napped on the plane back from france with pinoe and ashlyn

they help each other out: cold towel, guest coach kelley,

They threw out the first pitch for the Braves after the World Cup (with Mal, whose husband Dansby played for the Braves at the time)

They also made an appearance at an Atlanta United game together

They were chaotic in every team picture, X,

they took on the Tokyo olympics together (feat many teammates)

They're already in their costumes, despite her concerns they'd get their breakfast down it but they'd promised to be careful and she'd relented, fully expecting at least one of them will have to change but she's watching them wait for the pancakes their father was making them.

"Who's ready for pancakes?"

"Daddy, they're boocakes," Jake reminds him and the two grin.

"You are so right, bud," Castle agrees. "Are my monsters ready?"

She watches them all as she finishes her cup of coffee and finish getting their bags ready for the day.

Bruh I’ve seen some convention panels with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher and whenever someone asks if there will ever be a reboot, they always say they’d be up for it and Dean always says he’d love to know what they’re up to 25-30 years later. Like what happened with the baby that mysteriously appeared in their house in the finale? Was it some kind of Kryptonian royalty that they had to raise and then find out they had to give the baby back, and/or did they have kids of their own even though they were told it wasn’t possible? And how did having kids change Lois bc suddenly she’ll realize that her kid is more important than her work and what will that be like and how will she deal with that?

But then Teri comes in with “my idea is darker.” And she explains this headcanon she has for the rest of the series that involves Clark having lost his powers and their kid getting powers and Clark can’t be superman anymore and it causes contension in their marriage for some reason and then the reboot would pick up when their kid is moving out and they have to decide whether or not they want to stay married. Dean is looking at her like she’s crazy, a section of the audience loudly boos her, basically. I’m with them. Plz don’t put Teri in charge.

And there was another panel where the moderator was like “I think it would be cool to find out that they had some problems and broke up but then got back together.” Like… let people stay married, PLEASE. We don’t need the drama. Like I’d love about 10 episodes of seeing how they’re still madly in love and that they maybe had more kids who visit them all the time as adults like Clark did with his parents, and if they are still working at the Daily Planet as a reporting team. I mean, just like in season 4 they can be a happily married couple who maybe had obstacles over the years but nothing coming close to almost breaking them up. It was already established that they’re soulmates, ffs.

I read the preview and omg I'm in love? The call back to the first opener, I've discussed and thought about it before and honestly I wanted it to be like the senior student quote or like I didn't want to apply for college?

The school is so interesting? And it obviously has the point percy is going into the future and leaving being a kid behind?

Percy counselor! She's so cool and i love how she and Poseidon were like hmm who tells him the bad news? But she is in his corner and it's great?

Alao hello community college mention? Is that more Greek/Roman or a mix for any godly connected mortal? I need answers! Is it set in greendale?

Poseidon finally made his appearance properly!! I love the fact we got to see him arguing and defending percy future? Obviously, it wasn't the best, but percy could have had 25 quests? Or not have been eligible? And just his unpredictability is still there?

Also damn the poseidon is Paul theory is just coming isn't?

The fact this is solely percy problem is so funny but tragic? Hades/Pluto children were born before the oath so they wouldn't have anything against them, thalia and Jason is his children and he's absolutely biased towards them?

But I can't help but think this is zeus revenge for percy turning down godhood? You want a future, you're going to have to rely on the gods, face more challenges? Also, he's probably holding a grudge because he corrupted jason to the point he argued with zeus at the end of BOO?

Also just kinda laugh at the thought, it is the styx punishment for him being born? Thalia was cursed to get killed by monsters, a short game, here we'll play the long game and screw his future up?

I also think the cup is a trap... my theory is that he stole the cup from Ganymede for the minor god attention? As we know, they had an affair? But hearing the fact percy is looking for the cup, if he drinks from it and become immortal, he's going to get offended percy turned him down but became a immortal anyway? He's going to punish him horribly? Prometheus kinda punishment?

Honestly, there's not much to say about percabeth, my otp once and forever, but I love seeing them hang out and just enjoy each other company? And seeing her with Paul and Sally?

Also, grover!! I love this trio? And it is so fitting he's here to help percy get to college?

I do just love the theme thay everything is connecting,the school, harking back to the idea of immortality? Percy had his last summer before his senior year.

This is so important and honestly so character driven? And I love stories like this, it's a long epilogue this series? Trials of Apollo he said was the capstone, but this is truly it?

The lart thing, I love the idea. we are also seeing a more older demigod version for quests, etc? Of course, there is a request system? I love you can say a reward, this is showing the difference? As teens/kids, it was getting yourself trained, proving your worth, but for adults, they can have the experience and skills to do the less meaningful tasks? They're also more cynical and knowing the gods? It also brings the chance for money or something if they're struggling with job loss for example?

Also it is a great image, percy believing apollo was here, to ask him for a quest? Especially if it was all done?

Hello hello I'm back at it again at Krispy Kreme, and today I will be showcasing the Kings/Husbandos of my Mariolore AU :3

Without further ado let us begin!

Note: This is a VERY long post because it has more lore than the Mariolore series itself, so I decided to give you a heads up before you go down the rabbit hole-

We must start off of course with the "Tyrant King" himself, who would become a healed sovereign in the years after he married his beloved Queen Dove. It did take some time for King Boo's addiction to alcohol to lessen, but slowly but surely he began to drink more water instead of the strong wine he was used to having at every moment. The Mushroom Kingdom would bear witness to the King's improvement from being a tyrant to a benefactor as he made a full recovery from his alcoholism thanks to not only his wife, but also the two children that the couple had together. The marriage of King Boo and Queen Dove would last for 18 years, which was the remaining years of his life as his alcoholism had done an irreversible amount of damage to his body. As he reached the age of 58, King Boo's failing health would finally take a toll on him as he would pass away in his sleep, leaving his 55 year old wife heartbroken. His daughter Theresa, 18 years old when he passed, and his 14 year old Haru would both be extremely devastated, and it is said that the death of her father was a contributing factor to the mental breakdown Theresa would endure during her time as Queen...

King Haru would be known as the "Last Son of the Dynasty" as he was indeed the last King born in the royal family to ever rule over the Mushroom Kingdom, due to the curse that his older sister Queen Theresa the Mad placed before she was sealed away into a painting by Haru, using the power of the Seven Stars to bring an end to her reign of terror. After Haru was crowned King, his first act was to unite the Mushroom and Sprixie Kingdom together by taking the Sprixie Princess Papaya as his queen. King Haru proved himself to be one of the greatest Kings the Mushroom Kingdom ever had, and the surrounding kingdoms such as the now recognized Koopa Kingdom favored him as he established order and peace throughout the region. He proudly watched his daughter Momo grow up and when she became the age of 25, King Haru would abdicate the throne to her and retire from ruling, traveling with Queen Papaya back to her home of the Sprixie Kingdom and living out the rest of his years as Queen Momo would start the legendary lineage of the Mushroom Kingdom Queens...

King Kankitsurui the Knight would become the husband of Queen Momo and father of Queen Sora, first starting out in the Mushroom Kingdom court as a young boy training to be a knight. Kankitsurui and Momo would first meet as young children, but they would start their romantic relationship in their adulthood. When the couple's daughter Sora was born, Kankitsurui was just like every other protective dad and adored his daughter. When she first started pleading with him to let her train to become a knight, Kankitsurui was hesitant at first since he was worried that she could get hurt easily, but after Sora continued to beg her father he eventually relented and started training her himself. After many years of training and constant sparring, Kankitsurui would lose to his daughter in a match and decided that she was ready to take his place as the Mushroom Kingdom's greatest knight, letting her lead missions and commanding other knights. However the kingly knight had let his guard down during a mission that was supposed to be a meeting with a diplomat from the Koopa Kingdom to discuss the group of rouge Koopas that were starting to cause trouble, when he was suddenly ambushed and assassinated by the rouge group itself. His death sent shockwaves throughout the Mushroom and neighboring kingdoms, and Queen Momo died months later of a broken heart, leaving their daughter Sora to become the new Queen. Queen Sora would then start her campaign to avenge her father, and tales of how she hunted down the rouge Koopa group until they were eliminated are still told today...

King Kamezard was the Koopa Magician that would become the husband of Queen Sora and father of Queen Elemora. He was one of the members of the rouge Koopa tribe that opposed the rule of the Koopa King at the time, and his magic skills proved to be useful in helping the group cause chaos. After the assassination of King Kankitsurui took place, Kamezard and a few of his fellow Koopa realized that the leader of the group was actually a power hungry Koopa who wanted to overthrow the Koopa King and take the throne for himself, not caring whose blood was spilt in the process. Kamezard was the brave Koopa to volunteer to hold off Queen Sora when she launched a surprise attack so his fellow Koopas could escape, using the best of his magic to have the upper hand in the fight but was quickly outmatched by the Mushroom Kingdom Queen. Fate had other plans for the Koopa Magician as instead of killing him on the spot, Queen Sora took him as a prisoner of war and he wasted no time telling her the truth of what happened in the assassination of her father and the true intentions of the rouge Koopa leader. He would then accompany Sora to confront the leader of the rouge Koopa group and a battle ensued, and at the end the leader of the rouge koopas was executed by the sword of the Mushroom Kingdom Queen, which was enchanted by Kamezard's magic. To the surprise of everyone, Queen Sora took Kamezard as her husband, making him the new king of the Mushroom Kingdom despite the fact that he had been associated with the Koopa group that had taken out the previous king. A year later the couple welcomed their daughter Elemora into the world, and as she grew up and took an interest in learning her Koopa magic and heritage Kamezard was the one who taught her to hone her skills and control her emotions so she wouldn't accidentally switch to her Koopa form in moments of anger or excitement...

King Noale the Serenader was the man who Queen Elemora would choose as her husband and became the father of Queen Seraphina. Hailing from a small seaside town outside of the Mushroom Kingdom, the young commoner started to get attention from the nobles when his singing started to get popular, and soon his career as an opera singer took off. Nolae was invited to sing at many different events, gaining even more attention from ladies from every noble household who wished to have him as their husband. But one woman in particular would fall hard for him when he performed at the Mushroom Kingdom caste at the Harvest Ball, that woman being none other than Queen Elemora herself, making Nolae her husband after she promised that he could continue to sing as much as he pleased despite being the King. The king would still perform as an opera singer despite his high status, and he even got his daughter Seraphina interested in singing herself, teaching her how to carry the highest of tunes which was a skill that no other opera singer could master. Things would be blissful for the royal family for a few years until King Nolae suddenly fell ill with cancer, his body growing weaker by the day alongside his own voice before becoming bedridden. Despite Queen Elemora's attempts to try to heal her beloved husband with her Koopa magic, King Nolae's health continued to deteriorate until he eventually passed away, singing one final tune with his soft voice before taking his last breath. The Mushroom Kingdom and the surrounding kingdom grieved over the king's death alongside Queen Elemora and Princess Seraphina, but the mother and daughter kept the memory of the king alive by singing the same songs he would sing to them when he was still alive. After Seraphina became Queen, her first act was to return to her father's hometown by the seaside and ordered for the construction of the Sparkle Theater, dedicating it to her father's memory once it was completed...

King Chiko the Caretaker was the banished Luma being that would end up marrying Queen Seraphina and becoming the father of Queen Morgana. Originally from the Celestial Kingdom, Chiko was one of the many Luma beings who possessed a human follower and served the king/oracle until it became noticed that he was becoming more and more human as he expressed more emotions and began to object to policies that were imposed by the ruler. He was eventually banished by the oracle after being ostracized by the other Lumas, fleeing with some baby Lumas in tow to the Mushroom Kingdom and laid low for a good while, disguising himself as a human commoner. One fateful day however after some young Lumas begged their adoptive father to go to the Sparkle Theater, Chiko relented and snuck into the Theater while hiding his Luma children in his cloak. After witnessing the performance of Queen Seraphina's singing, Chiko was entranced with not only her voice but her beauty as well, leading him to follow her into the courtyard after the show to try to talk to her. Seraphina was able to see right through Chiko's commoner disguise, and offered to let him stay in the Mushroom Kingdom's castle with his adopted Luma children so they would be raised in a safe place, to which he gladly took since the shack he and the Lumas were living in wasn't the best place. Chiko and Seraphina developed a romantic relationship shortly after he moved in with his luma children, and about a year later the couple were wed with the banished Luma now becoming King of the Mushroom Kingdom. In the same year of their marriage, the couple's daughter Morgana was born and Chiko was just as a loving father to her like he was with his Luma children...

King Njord the Willing was the first husband of Queen Morgana and the father of Queen Freya, who unfortunately passed away shortly after Freya was born. A young sailor who became the captain of his own ship and crew during the times when the Mushroom Kingdom's economy had dwindled, and sailed around the world to other countries and kingdoms to establish trade so the economy could recover. He and Queen Morgana first met at a party celebrating the successful trade establishments with the other countries across the sea, and the two fell in love right away as they bonded over Njord's stories of his travels. The two got hitched before Njord embarked on a journey to deliver some rare goods to another kingdom, returning months later to reunite his wife and meet his newborn daughter Freya, who he adored with all his heart. However the king's life would be cut tragically short during what was supposed to be a routine trip to deliver trading imports, when a dangerous storm suddenly filled the skies and the oceans waters grew extremely violent. Things went bad to worse when the ship was then attacked by the monster that was thought to be a sailor's legend, the Gooper Blooper whose massive tentacles hit the ship and did a number of damage. King Njord made sure that all of his crew got off the rapidly sinking ship before drawing his blade and guns to fight the Gooper Blooper, and it would be a battle that he would lose as the monster took him out. News of the king's demise reached Queen Morgana, and her grief for her husband overtook the normally tranquil atmosphere of the castle, as it was also shared among the people and the other kingdoms. A few days later a search party managed to recover Njord's body from the ocean and brought it back to the Mushroom Kingdom so he could be buried. Njord's death would be the cause of why Queen Freya fears the ocean herself, sometimes even having nightmares about her father's demise to this very day...

King Ivone would be the Koopa Diplomat that Queen Morgana would take as her second husband, and become the step-father of Queen Freya. Ivone was a good friend of King Njord and Queen Morgana, sometimes going with Njord on his trade deliveries and had managed to visit a few different countries across the sea whenever he wasn't busy in the Koopa Kingdom with his job. When news of Njord's tragic death at sea reached Ivone, he was just as shocked alongside the entire region, and could only do his best to comfort Morgana and her infant daughter Freya in their time of immense grief. Ivone would continue to visit the Queen and her daughter after Njord's funeral, and eventually Queen Morgana would fall in love once with the Koopa Diplomat, knowing that her late husband wouldn't want her to grieve over his passing forever. Ivone would be the second Koopa in the history of the Mushroom Kingdom to become King, and the first King to be the second husband of a reigning Queen. Ivone proved to be a great step-father, adopting the young Princess Freya as his own daughter and watching her grow up to be the current Queen of the Mushroom King alongside his wife Morgana. After Freya got married to the Prince of the Toadstool Kingdom, Morgana would abdicate the throne to her and become the Dowager Queen, making her husband Ivone's title become the Dowager King Consort. The couple now growing older moved into the famous Summer Castle by the countryside and currently live there to this day, where they always spend their time together and become happy whenever their daughter Queen Freya and her family come to visit, devoting their attention especially on their beloved granddaughter Princess Aurora "Peach" Toadstool...

King Apricot Toadstool the Wise is the current King of the Mushroom Kingdom, the husband of Queen Freya and the father of Princess Aurora "Peach" Toadstool. Hailing from the Toadstool Kingdom that had once been considered the poorest kingdom in the region, Apricot comes from a long line of scholars and is descended from one of the male cousins of Princess Peach, who took the throne of the Toadstool Kingdom by force and made some major changes which would help bring the Toadstool Kingdom out of it's economic crisis many years ago. During the economic crisis of the Mushroom Kingdom during Queen Morgana's reign, the Toadstool Kingdom quickly became recognized as the wealthiest kingdom in the region, with people from all over flocking there in the hopes of having better lives and opportunities. The young Prince Apricot would first meet Princess Freya of the Mushroom Kingdom as teenagers when he and his parents came to visit and discuss a trade alliance with her parents, but he initially dismissed her as he was skeptical of her powers of being the Oracle of the Celestial Kingdom. Later on however, Apricot would slowly start to realize that he and Freya had a lot more in common than he initially thought and after apologizing to her the two became friends at first, up until their adulthood when they both confessed their romantic feelings for each other. After 3 years of courting each other, the couple got married and became the new King and Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom shortly after Morgana abdicated the throne to her daughter and retired to the Summer Castle with her husband Ivone. A year later after Freya and Apricot were wed they welcomed their daughter and the current princess of the Mushroom Kingdom into the world, naming her Aurora after the Aurora Borealis that shone throughout the sky on the night of her birth and giving her the nickname "Peach" as the young child's love for peaches was noticed by everyone in the castle. King Apricot and his wife have been married for 15 years so far, and their love is strong as their love for their daughter who will one day become the Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom. For now, Apricot is just like every other dad, being very protective of his young daughter and keeping a close eye on her alongside his wife and the castle staff as she runs around the castle and plays like every child would...

Chapter 2: S7 "A Distant Echo"

Series Summary: You've always liked clones... At least the ones that you fought with your old Master Obi Wan Kenobi, and your older brother Anakin Skywalker, after your training you became a Jedi Knight General. However, you weren't given a platoon but a small squad... Clone Force 99.

Chapter Summary: After a successful mission with The Bad Batch and Rex finding out that Echo is alive, The Batchers, Rex, Aria, and Anakin head to Skako Minor to retrieve Echo.

Once back on base, Aria went to her Cambers to meditate on the shocking news Rex had told her. He had been alive, is alive, she couldn't believe her friend ARC Trooper Echo.

She thought she'd never her old friend ever again, the things that worried her know was how Rex was feeling and if Echo really is there on Skako Minor, what condition is he in.

Aria left her cambers and headed toward Anakin, Rex, and Hunter.

"Word is the general staff isn't completely behind this mission." Hunter says, "I admit the idea of Echo being alive is a long shot." Rex adds, "I'm sure the Council will approve the mission. Just remember, the primary goal is to learn how the separatists are predicting our strategy, whether it's Echo behind it or not." Anakin reassures. "Well, if you want my opinion, sounds like a trap, but me and the boys will tag along anyway, if only to say "I told you so."" "Just make sure you're ready if we get the go ahead from General Kenobi." Aria says. "If you're certain he'll approve the mission, why wait? Let's get going." Rex says looking at Aria then Anakin. "First, we have that thing to do." Anakin says to Rex suspiciously. "Uh, what thing?" Rex questions, "you know." "We don't have time for that, sir." "Yes we do" Anakin says quieter and more stern. "Well, I'll just let you two sort this out. I'll be waiting on the ship with the rest of the team." Hunter says, walking away. Aria smiles, as she walks closer to her big brother, "tell Padmé I say "hi and hope to see her soon!"" Aria says, teasingly, she has always known about Anakin and Padmé. She was there when they got married in secret, breaking the most important rule of bring a Jedi. Anakin just glares at her, "Hurry up, I'm late as it is." He says to Rex.

"Hey Bandana, wait up!" Aria says, turning away from Rex and Anakin. Hunter turns around confused, "Bandana?" He asks toward the nickname. "Yeah, I like to give all clones funny nicknames" "oh really, like?" "Well, Rex is Blondie, Hardcase is stupidity, Jesse is Boo-Bear" Hunter looks at her funny, "that one is a long story..." she laughs, "anyway, Bandana is a good one that's all you gotta know." He laughs, "okay, I believe you." Aria starts to laugh, Hunter had noticed her beauty since he first stepped off his ship. Knowing that she was a Jedi and he, a clone, he had to set his mind straight. Now meeting her, seeing that she is kind, funny, intelligent, caring, and like 3 billion other things, he wants to know her, and have her around.

As the Jedi and clone approach the rest of the Batchers, the rest of the batch can clearly see that there is something there between the Sergeant and the General. "25 credits, he falls for her" Crosshair spits out, "What?! No way!" Wrecker says, "No way, what?" Aria asks, "well, Cross says-" "Nothing" Tech and Crosshair say. Both Hunter and Aria look at each other with the same expression. "Okay then... You guys ready for another mission" Hunter says to his squad.

Aria is now standing beside Wrecker, the two had a couple fun banter moments on the last mission, so Aria thought that out of the others he'd be a fun one to talk to. "So, Wrecker, is it true that you're blind in one eye?" "Hey, how did you know that?" "Jedi intuition." Aria lied, Tech told her. "Cool! Yeah, it went blind after a failed attempt of blowing something up" "really?" "Yeah" "well what are the odds, Echo, the clone we're going to save potentially also blew up." "Sick."

Wrecker and Aria became fast friends, she even gave him the nickname "Big-Fella" and he even gave her one too, "Bite-Size", they both laughed as Wrecker was 6'6" and Aria only being 5'2".

Aria starts to connect with Tech as Obi Wan comes up and says, "Aria, where is Anakin?" Obi Wan says as he comes up to the Batch, "sorry, master, I haven't seen him since the last time I saw him." "When was that?" "The last time I saw him? Was definitely the time I saw him last." Aria says, smiling, "Aria..." "He went that way" she says, pointing him toward the barracks, as Obi Wan is walking away Wrecker and Aria look at each other and burst out laughing, and then he says, "that was awesome!" "I know right" "that is not what I would have called it-" Tech says "in fact you made his job much harder-" "hey googles, I'm just joking around" "goggles?" "That's my nickname for you." "What-" "She gives clones nicknames" "yeah! I'm Big-Fella!" Wrecker says excitedly. "Oh, but we already have names" "I guess, but I like to consider clones real people too, so I make funny names to connect with them" "wow" "what?" "It's just that, from the data I have collected, most other Jedi hate us." "Well not me goggles" Aria said, punching his arm. "Okay, well what's Hunter's, I'm guessing he has one?" Crosshair finally speaks up, with a toothpick in his mouth. Aria smiles "Bandana." Wrecker loses it, even though the name itself wasn't funny, the conversation they were having before about their Sergeant and the General made it worse. "Hey, that isn't even that worst one, I've given." "What about Cross?" Hunter asks, "I don't know, I haven't connected with him yet." Aria looks toward Crosshair, and he just death glares her.

Anakin and Rex came back with the go ahead from Obi Wan, now on the Havoc Marauder with the squad. Wrecker is lifting their Gonk Droid, Gonky, Tech is piloting, Hunter looking at control panels, and the rest of them are standing together in the middle of the ship. Anakin is looking at Crosshairs sniper, "so, how many missions has your team been on, Sergeant?" "Honestly, sir, I've lost count. All the action sort of blurs together." Hunter says, "I know you work with Cody sometimes, but who do you guys report to?" Rex asks. "Hmm... good question. Can't say I've got an answer." "Yeah!" Wrecker jumps in. There is a little turbulence as they got out of hyper space. Tech yells, "we are approaching Skako Minor. It looks to be a difficult landing." They all get into seats on the ship as fast as possible, Crosshair, Rex and Anakin go to the middle seats while Wrecker goes up front with Tech, leaving both Hunter and Aria the two at the back.

They safely land and Anakin asks, "Rex, what do we know about this place?" "On this part of Skako, there's a race of locals, the Poletecs. All we know is they're very primitive. " ""Primitive" is being kind. My intel says the Poletecs worship flying reptiles." Techs just as one jumps on the window of the ship and screeches. "What the hell was that?" Aria says, "Wrecker's twin" Crosshair says calmly, they both look at each other and laugh. "No Crosshair, it's one of those reptiles." "I want that thing off my ship." Hunter commands, "hold on! Hold on! Don't just run out there." Rex says, as they proceed to do just that. Both Anakin and Aria ignite their lightsabers, Anakin’s one blue and Aria’s 2 blue ones. "Hey! Get off of there!" Wrecker yells. "Hey, calm down. We need to talk to them." Anakin says, taking control of the situation, "why?" Hunter questions, "to let they know we come in peace and wish them no harm, so we avoid unnecessary battles." 2 more reptiles come down on them, and the one on the ship jumps off and grabs Anakin, dropping his lightsaber. Rex grabs it and starts shooting, "I have a thermal reading. Point-two-five east, elevation 175." Tech says. "Relax. I'll handle this." Crosshair says adjusting his sniper and using Tech's shoulder as a ramp. It is a grappling hock that latches on the reptile, "what are you doing?" Rex asks. "Going for a ride." Hunter responds in his raspy, sexy voice, as he attaches the end of the grappling hock to his waist and lifts off the ground. Aria was shocked for a moment, she stood in awe, but she was brought out of her trance by Rex and the others yelling to get back on the ship to follow their sergeant.

We all get on and strap in, Hunter's voice comes through the comm channel "Tech, I'm with the General, hone in on my signal." Tech does as he says, and they touch down slightly behind the clearing where Anakin was. They all ran out towards Hunter. Aria leans down next to Hunter to get a better view, "that creature still has a hold of the General." Hunter says to the group, noticing Aria, she looks at him them at Rex. "Rex, any ideas?" Aria asks, "we're going in, but remember what the General said. "No casualties, disarm only."" "We're on it, Captain. Wreck, Crosshair, rockslide!" Hunter responds, Wrecker moves a big rock down to the clearing and slides down after it while Crosshair starts to shoot the Poletecs' weapons out of their hands, then he shoots the winged creature in its leg with a tranquilizer, forcing it to let go of Anakin. The rest of them move in, the Poletecs start to speak in their tongue. "Tech, translate what he said." Tech starts to do translate, "he says he does not want our war on his planet. That is why he took our leader." "We didn't bring the war here. It was Wat Tambor and the Separatists." Anakin says calmly, Tech, then translates. "Tell him we apologize for what's happened." Aria says compassionately. "But tell him the enemy is holding one of our men prisoner in Purkull. As soon as we rescue him, we'll leave his planet, for good." Rex jumps in. Tech translates again, then the Polectec leader starts to speak. "The chief says he will provide us with scouts and lead us to Tombor's city. From there we're on our own." "Any help is better than no help." Anakin states. "Tell the chief thank you for their help" Aria says, offering a smile. Tech does so, and the scouts start to lead the way.

The scouts show the way and head back to their village. "I hope nobody's scared of heights." Anakin says, Hunter and Crosshair both turn and look at Wrecker. "Well, I'm not scared of nothing. I just... When I'm up real high, I got a problem with gravity." "Speaking of problems" Tech interjects, "I am no longer picking up Echo's signal." "I... I don't understand. You said it was coming from this city." Rex said confused. "I can only speculate, but it is possible there's a latency issue with the frequency caused by all these atmospheric disturbances." “Or…. maybe they sent the signal to lure us into a trap. And maybe your friend’s actually dead. Well, I can’t be the only one thinking that.” Hunter says, looking at Aria, she just shrugs. She’s known Echo for a long time and would love if he was alive, but she also had to be realistic. “Look, every mission could be a trap. This one is no different. I’m telling you, that signal is being sent by Echo himself! He’s alive!” “I think you’re letting your personal feelings get in the way because you left him for dead at the Citadel.” Crosshair says, “I had no choice. You hear me?” “Oh, I don’t blame you. I would’ve left him for dead, too. Besides, he’s just another reg.” Crosshair says making Rex angry, Rex retaliates by starting to fight Crosshair, and honestly Aria really wanted to join in because Crosshair was out of line. “Hey!” Wrecker yells, “why don’t you pick on someone not your size?” He says, lifting Rex off the ground, then throwing him a little farther away. Rex walks straight up to Wrecker and says, “you’ll be a whole lot smaller when I’m through with you.” “Hey! Guys enough!” Aria yelled as Anakin goes to break the tension between the two. “Aria, Sergeant, take your men and scout the area for a tower entrance. I want to talk to my Captain alone.

Hunter and Aria take the boys and start to do what Anakin said. “I could’ve taken him” Wrecker pouts. “Yeah, the Captain was way outta line.” Hunter says, Aria is in front still scouting, not listening to their argument, “I’m just saying that is all probably a trap.” “Oh my force! Can you guys just stop!” Aria yells, the Batch looks at her unexpectedly, “imagine it was one of you” she pauses and faces them. “Imagine, you had to leave one of your brothers behind, and now that there is a slight chance that, that brother is alive wouldn’t you guys care enough to try!” Hunter looks sheepish, “I’m just saying, yes Rex needs to understand that this might all be for nothing, but you guys need to understand he just wants his family back.” “Aria is 100% correct” Tech states. “Sorry, general, truth is for my brothers I’d do anything.” Hunter responds. “Good now let's get back to work.” Aria says. 

We find an entrance, and Rex and Anakin come running. "We're in business, General. Tech regained Echo's signal. It's coming from this tower. How's it going, Tech? " Hunter says. Tech is using his Keypad to hack into the tower. He is able to get the door open, "sorry it took so long." "Hey, Crosshair, check it out." Hunter says, ordering his brother. Crosshair goes in and says, "yeah, it's a lift." "Well, we already knew that." Tech states. Aria laughs, "wait, wait, wait. A lift? How far up are we going?" wrecker questions. "Don't worry Wrecker. I'll hold your hand" Hunter teased. "Hey! Cut it Sarge. Just give me some droids to crush." 

Setting up the lift, both Anakin and Aria reminded the squad that this is a stealth mission. “No blasting, No blowing things up. Nobody knows we're here.” Anakin finished, The door opened, revealing droids, Wrecker charges out followed by the rest of clone force 99. They start to destroy the droids. “So much for stealth” Aria says. 

 After Wrecker finished crushing many droids, he said, “Yeah! Hah! Ha-ha! Uh… sorry. I just got excited.” “It’s alright, Big-Fella.” Aria said. “I’ve still got a lock on Echo’s signal.” Tech said. “All right, men-” “what does that mean?” Aria said teasingly beside Hunter, “well… uh- you know” “do I?” “Alright you two, sort this out later.” Anakin said, giving his little sister a knowing look, her smile quickly faded. “Let’s hunt dome droids.” Hunter finished, “now you’re talking! Yeah!” 

They all walked into the main facility, Hunter and Rex destroying the first few droids. “Where exactly is Echo’s signal coming from?” Anakin asked, Tech responded “strange. I just lost the signal.” “What? How can that be? There’s no “atmospheric disturbances” up here.” Rex said, “Well, I have a new theory. I’m surprised I didn’t consider it earlier. The signal is only traceable during data transmissions. So until Echo dispenses more intel, I cannot pick up the signal.” “Okay, we’re splitting up.  Search every door. If someone finds Echo, contact the others. We go in together just in case there’s trouble.” Anakin said, looking straight at his sister, who just smiled and shrugged. Anakin, Wrecker, and Crosshair set off in one direction while Tech, Rex, Aria and Hunter set off in the other direction. Tech then says he regained the signal, we all followed them to a much bigger door, Hunter conformed that Echo’s signal was coming from there. “Tech, open this door.” Rex says as a message played on the screen by the door. “You clones are so predictable.” “Wat Tambor” Aria said, “Your algorithm predicted nearly every move you made to infiltrate Purkoll.” “There is no algorithm. We know you’re holding a prisoner of war here.” Rex yelled “prisoner? I don’t know what you mean, Captain.” “I am leaving here with my friend.” Rex said threateningly. “Your friend is dead. His mind is ours.” “Liar!” While Rex was having that conversation, it was a distraction as more droids showed up, “execute them.” Wat Tambor said. Hunter grabbed his knife and threw it toward the droids, Aria ignited her lightsabers, as Anakin, Wrecker, and Crosshair came running in. They all finished off the droid quickly, but more started to arrive. “Tech, Open that door for Rex and Aria!” “Yes, sir!” “I hope you find what you’re looking for, Captain.” Hunter says, Rex gives him a nod, then heads over to Tech and Aria as the door opens. 

Once in the room, Aria said “I don’t like the look of this” “neither do I” Rex agreed. Tech got right to it, starting to open the chamber above the controls. “I am definitely picking up a life-form in there. It seems to be a stasis chamber. I think I can get it open.” Tech gets the chamber open and a pale, frosty, Echo fell forward attached to a bunch of machinery. “Echo. Tech! We gotta get him out of here. Figure out how to unplug him from this mess.” Rex set Echo on the ground and Aria instantly saw that most of him was no longer man but machine, “what have they done to you?” Rex whispered, still in shock. “We-- We have to get to the shuttle to escape the Citadel. No! I’ll go first.” Echo mumbled “Echo!” “No, no, no” “Echo, It’s Rex. I’m here.” “Rex? You came back for me.” “Yes. Yes, I did.” “He’s not the only one” Aria said kneeling beside them, “Commander?” “Well General now” Aria said offering a smile. “What happened? Where am I?” “It’s okay, Echo.” “You’re safe now, just sit tight, trooper. You’re going home.”

Mug Watch: Series 25!

With a slight break from the normality, I did happen to spot 4 appearances whilst flicking through (there would have been more but I only watched/capped the Smithy/Max/Leon featuring eps this series so there'll have been episodes where mugs appears but none of those three did so I didn't rewatch - yet!). Terry's are from the same episode - Forensic Evidence whereas Nate is from Broken Hearts and In The Know.

Back with the real reason we're all here...!

The first episode of the series brought the first mug appearance of the year! The Morning After!

Not only that, it's a new mug that appears to have pictures of players on it! He's branching out!

We don't see anything else until Deal Me Out - the 20th episode of the series. Unfortunately just a boring vending machine mug!

In the 28th episode, Old Habits where Diane returns for a shift before she transfers to Barton St as a Sgt has Smithy's white mug with the shield back out in use.

Though we're back to vending machine cups in To Live For 7 episodes later (that should be 35 on the cap not 25).

In Absolute Power, Smithy takes Stevie to a local cafe for lunch when she's struggling with a case and needs some space from the station. He also ends up with two puddings! 🤣❤

The conviction episodes amused me purely for the sheer fact he's got a cup in his hand for 3 out of the 6 episodes and there's a super smashing surprise appearance in the 5th without Smithy so that's an appearance for 2/3's of the episodes 😂😂 Callum brings him a vending machine tea in Cover Up, he brings cups for almost everyone in the briefing in To The Limit, in Breaking Point he's drinking a special Afghani tea at the community center and in Riot City the white mug with shield appears in his locker during a naughty locker search (with the shield not showing! boo!)

There's two takeaway/vending machine cups that appear in That's Love For You. If you look in the 1st picture at his lapels you can notice we've also had a promotion! Smithy is now an Inspector!

and for the final appearance of the series in Show Of Force. Unfortunately due to the crap set up of the camera this is the best shot of it - the white mug with the shield!

Bit of a disappointing set all round with only 3 appearances (not counting the locker room one in the 5th ep of Conviction) of an actual official Smithy!mug!

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ━ ☆ ❱ In January of 2021, ILLSV ENT. announced BONNIE’s debut. Since they were a small company, they knew they would not get much traction, however, because BONNIE was going to now be the second Black K-Pop idol after Fatou, there was a lot of buzz surrounding it. The reactions were mixed — some were curious to see what she would do and others were negative immediately. Regardless, eyes were on her which is exactly what company director MIN JINHYUN was hoping for.

WITCHING HOUR released on 19 APRIL 2021 with the title track STRANGER DANGER. The song was divisive. Most people couldn’t wrap their heads around the sound, but the ones that got it, got it. But one thing that the general public could all agree on was the fact that her concept was interesting. Many loved the album, though, especially the b-side ILLSN.

BONNIE had her first comeback on 24 SEPTEMBER 2021 with BLOOD HOUR and the title track SWEET JUICE. Those who enjoyed her last album were excited to see what she would do next and they were not disappointed. SWEET JUICE surprised people with how good it was and the whole album became a stan twitter favourite.

Closing out the “HOUR” series, ANGEL HOUR was released as BONNIE’s first full album on 12 MAY 2022. Up until this point, BONNIE had trouble getting people to become serious fans of her. Once the title track PRETTY PSYCHO came out, all that changed. Fans flocked to her and even though she was nominated for first place three times but didn’t win, once she started promoting LITTLE MONSTER (WITH. BIBI) she got her first win.

OF THE WEST, released on 25 NOVEMBER 2022, was the first album that BONNIE had full creative control over, though MIN JINHYUN continued to take the credit. This led to more arguments and more fighting between BONNIE and her company. However, from how loved the album was, no one could tell. MR VAMPIRE, the title track, took home 5 wins and BONNIE’s popularity only continued to grow.

The fights between BONNIE and MIN JINHYUN came to a head in JANUARY 2023 when she went through the process of terminating her contract and ILLSV ENT. announced that she would be going on hiatus. Fans were confused as the company never gave a reason as to why. BONNIE would not be seen or heard from until AUGUST of that year when her new contract with SOURCE MUSIC and her comeback were announced.

Finally, after 9 long months of waiting for a BONNIE comeback, THE GOOD WITCH was released 11 SEPTEMBER 2023. From her sudden disappearance to sudden reappearance, her joining HYBE and the reveal that she was filing a law suit against ILLSV ENT. many eyes were on her and she did not disappoint. RIDE IT was an instant hit, getting her 6 music show wins. The promotional b-side, PEEK - A - BOO, received 3 and went on to become a cult classic. But it was the b-side 6TH DIMENSION that truly shot her into another level of fame that she never expected. She promoted this album 3 months.

In FEBRUARY 2024, SOURCE MUSIC announced that BONNIE would be having a comeback in APRIL.

Is CYN Autistic and is She Good Representation? Part 1.5

If you are enjoying this post, please reblog, this has taken a long amount of time to put together and it would mean a lot to me.

Welcome to part 1.5. Why is there a part 1.5? Well the current part 2 is getting way too long (currently my document is 17 pages long and not even one fourth done) so I have decided to split what was meant to be part 2 into four sections, this is the first. This is the most boring of the sections most of it is only worth skim reading as this section is going over the scientific methods used to determine if a patient is Autistic.

In the medical field, there are many different methods used to determine if a patient has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or not. All the systems I managed to find were the ICD-11 ⟨24⟩, ADOS-2 ⟨25⟩, DISCO ⟨26⟩, ADI-R ⟨27⟩, 3Di ⟨28⟩, AQ ⟨29⟩, AQJ-21 ⟨30⟩, and DSM-5 ⟨31⟩. Due to limitations, I do not have access to the DISCO, ADOS-2 or 3Di specifications. Also, due to the lack of guidance given by the DSM-5 (only having two basic criteria for ASD), it will also not be discussed due to triviality. In part 2, i will be citing all other of the systems using a referencing format which looks something like (Adi-R|3D) meaning the Adi-R system part 3D which will be explained in greater detail below.

Adi-R

The Adi-R diagnosis system is a test laid out to determine if a patient has Autism, it is suitable for anyone with a mental age about 2 years old⟨6⟩ and is designed to be filled out by a caretaker. This system puts a major focus on early development so is very limited when discussing Cyn since we do not see her during her developmental phase as such we cannot discuss the first two sections of the Adi-R assessment: Early Development and Acquisition of Languages and Other Skills. The rest of the assessment consists of a series of yes/no questions.

Part A: Qualitative Abnormalities in Reciprocal Social Interaction

Struggles with direct gaze-unable to look at you directly when communicating.

When someone approaches, unable to smile-struggles in social smiling.

Rarely shows you something of interest to them.

Experiences difficulties in sharing food and/or personal possessions (toys) with others’.

Does not exhibit a normal range of facial expressions used to communicate-stilted or exaggerated in manner.

Inappropriate facial expression to mood and context. 

Show inappropriate expression e.g. laughs when it is serious.

Little interest in or response to people except parents.

Experiences difficulties in communicating with adults.

Experiences difficulties in communicating with aged peers.

Gets on better with persons younger and/or older.

Cannot play within a peer group and/or plays inappropriately within a peer group.

Does not seek out children their own age to play.

Does not seek to share enjoyment with others’.

Prefers to be on their own.

Unable to use both coordinated eye gaze and vocalisation to communicate.

Part B: Qualitative Abnormalities in Communication

Has limited comprehension of simple words.

Will have the odd comment.

Uses unusual speech or phrases- stereotype utterances &/or delayed echolalia.

Will carry out social ‘chit chat’ with familiar persons only.

Will use limited speech to inform carer of immediate needs.

Will only enter into social ‘chit chat’ conversations when it involves a topic of interest to them.

Will ask questions at the wrong time &/or place.

Will say e.g. “he” or “she” instead of “I”.

Will use others’ e.g. hand as a tool to communicate.

Makes up words-invented their own words or version of expression.

Dislikes being interrupted when engaged in play activities.

Unusual tone, volume, rhythm and/or rate in speech.

Part C: Restricted, Repetitive, Stereotyped Patterns of Behaviour

Can become preoccupied (overly focussed) with certain items and activities e.g. street signs,

toilets which often interferes with their daily functioning. (I have no idea what this means btw)

Plays with certain items or activities with abnormal intensity which contributes to social impairment.

Exhibits compulsive rituals that has the potential to intrude upon on family life and contribute to social impairment.

Play with only parts of a toy e.g. wheel of a plane.

Must touch an object in a particular way or needs to put items in a certain order e.g. clothes in cupboard.

Is particularly interested in sight, feel, sound, taste, smell of things or people.

Is oversensitive to noise that has the potential to impact on daily routines.

Gets unusually upset by particular sounds e.g. vacuum cleaner.

Get bothered by minor changes in their routine.

Reacts to ‘trivial’ changes e.g. around the house.

Is unusually attached to an item which they must always carry around with them.

Will flicks hands or fingers when anxious or preoccupied.

Stereotyped body movements. Exhibits complicated movements e.g. spinning, rocking.

Has unusual movements e.g. washing their hands, turning hands from one side to another.

Part D: General Behaviour

Is aggressive towards caregivers or family members.

Is aggressive towards non-caregivers or non-family members.

Has an unusual gait: unusual way they walk.

Injure themselves deliberately e.g. bites themselves, hits themselves in their head.

Has a history of hyperventilating.

Suffers from Anxiety.

Has a need to ‘feel in control’.

Change in moods evident.

Has a history of Faints, Fits &/or Blackouts.

Later in the post, I will often be referring back to this list; for convenience I will be using the formatting (Adi-R | 3D) which in this case refers to question 3 from part D: “Has an unusual gait: unusual way they walk”.

ICD-11

The ICD-11 is not a diagnosis method unlike Adi-R but instead the rigorous definition of autism created to aid in the diagnosis process of ASD. The document outlines 4 ‘Essential (Required) Features’:

Persistent deficits in initiating and sustaining social communication and reciprocal social interactions that are outside the expected range of typical functioning given the individual’s age and level of intellectual development. Specific manifestations of these deficits vary according to chronological age, verbal and intellectual ability, and disorder severity. Manifestations may include limitations in the following:

Understanding of, interest in, or inappropriate responses to the verbal or non-verbal social communications of others.

Integration of spoken language with typical complimentary non-verbal cues, such as eye contact, gestures, facial expressions and body language. These non-verbal behaviours may also be reduced in frequency or intensity.

Understanding and use of language in social contexts and ability to initiate and sustain reciprocal social conversations.

Social awareness, leading to behaviour that is not appropriately modulated according to the social context.

Ability to imagine and respond to the feelings, emotional states, and attitudes of others.

Mutual sharing of interests.

Ability to make and sustain typical peer relationships.

Persistent restricted, repetitive, and inflexible patterns of behaviour, interests, or activities that are clearly atypical or excessive for the individual’s age and sociocultural context. These may include:

Lack of adaptability to new experiences and circumstances, with associated distress, that can be evoked by trivial changes to a familiar environment or in response to unanticipated events.

Inflexible adherence to particular routines; for example, these may be geographic such as following familiar routes, or may require precise timing such as mealtimes or transport.

Excessive adherence to rules (e.g., when playing games).

Excessive and persistent ritualised patterns of behaviour (e.g., preoccupation with lining up or sorting objects in a particular way) that serve no apparent external purpose.

Repetitive and stereotyped motor movements, such as whole body movements (e.g., rocking), atypical gait (e.g., walking on tiptoes), unusual hand or finger movements and posturing. These behaviours are particularly common during early childhood.

Persistent preoccupation with one or more special interests, parts of objects, or specific types of stimuli (including media) or an unusually strong attachment to particular objects (excluding typical comforters).

Lifelong excessive and persistent hypersensitivity or hyposensitivity to sensory stimuli or unusual interest in a sensory stimulus, which may include actual or anticipated sounds, light, textures (especially clothing and food), odours and tastes, heat, cold, or pain.

The onset of the disorder occurs during the developmental period, typically in early childhood, but characteristic symptoms may not become fully manifest until later, when social demands exceed limited capacities.

The symptoms result in significant impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational or other important areas of functioning. Some individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder are able to function adequately in many contexts through exceptional effort, such that their deficits may not be apparent to others. A diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder is still appropriate in such cases.

Like with Adi-R, ICD-R points will be denoted using the notation (ICD-R | 2-6) which this particular example refers to “Persistent preoccupation with one or more special interests, parts of objects, or specific types of stimuli (including media) or an unusually strong attachment to particular objects (excluding typical comforters).”

AQ | AQJ-21

The AQ (Autism Quotient) is a self administered test for ASD consisting of 50 questions. The AQJ-21 is an adapted version of the AQ designed for Japanese patients, 29 questions were removed due to not giving any significant indication, the 21 remaining questions of the AQJ-21 are in bold. Note, these aren’t symptoms, these are questions; sometimes the ASD answer is negative.

I prefer to do things with others rather than on my own.

I prefer to do things the same way over and over again.

If I try to imagine something, I find it very easy to create a picture in my mind.

I frequently get so strongly absorbed in one thing that I lose sight of other things.

I often notice small sounds when others do not.

I usually notice car number plates or similar strings of information.

It does not upset me if my daily routine is disturbed.

I frequently find that I don't know how to keep a conversation going.

Like with Adi-R, AQ Test points will be denoted using the notation (AQ|32) which this particular example refers to question 32 “If there is an interruption, I can switch back to what I was doing very quickly”. Why do I need the AQJ-21 when Cyn is Australian? I think it's more fun if i don't elaborate.

Limitations

Since Cyn is unfortunately a fictional character, we are very limited in what information we can get about her. The points of importance are; we have not seen her behaviour at earlier developmental stages (except her current one), Worker Drones don’t use the toilet, and she is the only character we’ve seen in her age bracket. This means that we cannot get information for points which are dependent on that information: (Adi-R | 11A), (Adi-R | 12A),  (Adi-R | 13A),  (Adi-R | 16A),  (Adi-R | 18A),  (Adi-R | 24B),  (Adi-R | 2C), (Adi-11 | 3). This lack of information needs to be taken into account when discussing if Cyn is autistic.

Is CYN Autistic and is She Good Representation?

Murder Drones ⟨00⟩ is an indie show about robots; created by Glitch Productions ⟨01⟩; directed by Liam Vickers ⟨02⟩: all episodes are free to watch on YouTube and I do recommend watching. The show follows a robot girl named Uzi and her best friend N; CYN (the subject of this post) is N’s adoptive younger sister. Many people in the Murder Drones fandom (including myself) have identified her as being autistic but is this the case and is she a good representation? 

In this post I will try to go over all the evidence we have which suggests she is/isn’t autistic and discuss what it means to be a good representation. I have split this post into three parts,

I must forewarn, I am not a medical doctor nor am I qualified in any adjacent fields relating to disabilities, I am just an autistic person who enjoys film theory.

The first point I want to make is to address the possible concerns over CYN being a Worker Drone (the name given to one type of robot in Murder Drones) as, in media, autistic people are often negatively represented through machines. This is not the case here, in the show most characters are robots and behave neurotypically; the behaviours and mannerisms of CYN will expressly be discussed in comparison to the rest of the cast. This will also be discussed more in greater detail later in the post.

Part 1 - Evidence : Minor Spoiler Warning

Posture

The manner in which CYN stands gives us multiple strong indications that she is neurotypical. Contrary to common belief, autism both affects a person mentally and physically with a strong overlap between the two⟨04⟩.

Going from top to bottom, the notable traits are;

CYN is very short, being estimated to be ~100cm or ~3'4''. For comparison, most Worker Drones are around 132cm or 4'4''. This is likely due to her being a child but there have been studies which have found that Autistic people are generally taller than their neurotypical counterparts⟨05⟩.

CYN holds her head at a tilt which is an common autism stim⟨06⟩. We also see that she often uses her hand to adjust her head or to hold it in support, leading to the conclusion that she has hypotonia (weak “muscles”) which is characterised by symptoms like difficulty holding the head up, difficulties with sitting up⟨07⟩, and poor posture; all identified in CYN. The source just provided focuses mainly on infants but I did manage to find a case study of a ten year old written by Mark Hutten⟨08⟩. I also found an interesting study saying head tilting can assist in helping an autistic person with facial recognition⟨09⟩.

CYNs elbows are constantly bent over a 90 degree angle pulling her arms towards her chest. This is known as “T-Rex Arms” in the autistic community and is usually believed to be a form of stimming⟨10⟩. 

When not being used, CYNs hands are constantly limp. This is a commonly seen extension to the “T-Rex Arms”. I was unable to find a scholarly article but I did find a discussion point by the online influencer Autistic Emmalyn⟨11⟩.

CYN leans towards her left leg and her right leg is distinctly more bent, this is common in autistic people caused by what's known as “Leg length discrepancy”⟨12⟩. Note, I've found contradictory evidence for what causes “Leg length discrepancy”; does the posture decrease leg length, does the leg length induce posture, or is differing leg length an illusion. It is also unusual for both legs to be bent so it's hard to say with certainty this is the cause.

CYN points her feet inwards which is known as in-toeing which is a common symptom of autism although only generally present in young children⟨13⟩. In-toeing can be caused by “femoral anteversion”: I found no study directly correlating “Femoral Anteversion” and autism but I did find a study which correlated hypermobility with autism⟨14⟩ and a study which correlated “Femoral Anteversion'' with hypermobility⟨15⟩. Hypermobility has also been shown to be correlated with hypotonia⟨16⟩.

CYN is seen pulling her thighs inwards which is a sign of autism and many autistic people (specifically autistic children) do it to help them find balance⟨13⟩.

Note that there is one scene in which she doesn’t stand in the manner described above, in this scene she is not the focus and she’s very much obscured. I believe at this point this is likely an animation error. I will be discussing this in greater detail later on but cannot currently due to the problem of spoilers.

Walking

The problem with discussing the manner in which CYN walks is that we get limited shots of her walking, particularly unsupported. The best evidence we do have comes from the gala preparations in episode 5 but in that scene the lower parts of her legs are obscured and she is taking aid from N. There are other scenes where we somewhat see her walk but they each come with their own problems.

By comparing the number of times CYN and N’s head bob while walking together we get an indication of their respective stride lengths, by watching the scene at 0.25 speed CYN takes ~16 steps and N takes ~9 steps. Since they’re walking in tandem, we can conclude that CYNs stride length is 9/16=~0.5625 times that of N’s. Since stride length and height are directly proportional17, we can take into account their height difference by multiplying by the ratio of their heights (132cm/100cm=1.32) which gives us 1.32*0.5625=0.7425 so even when height is taken into account, CYNs stride length is significantly smaller than N’s and a smaller stride length is a symptom of autism⟨17⟩. This is also backed up in other scenes where we see CYN move and her stride appears very short.

While walking with N, her gait (distance between feet) is neurotypical, in other scenes where we see her walk, without aid, this is not the case so this is a direct example of where we cannot be certain of the information we’re getting from the gala preparation scene. A wider gait length is a sign of autism⟨18⟩.

When looking at the movement of her kneecaps compared to N and the other servants, she has a distinct increased hip flexion which is a symptom of autism which is an action taken to mitigate the effects of autism on mobility⟨18⟩.

Although she has an increased hip flexion, her knee’s do not appear to bend significantly which is another sign of autism along with limited ankle movement⟨18⟩. We only see one shot in the show where we see CYN feet while she’s moving and in that she takes only one small step backwards but it does seem that her ankles don’t bend, I am reluctant to push this as evidence due to how limited the data is.

In the cathedral scene, we see that she seemingly pauses between steps as she walks (this behaviour is not present when walking with N). This is referred to as an increase in the stance phrase which is a sign of autism⟨18⟩.

Oral

CYN (voiced by Allanah Fitzgerald⟨19⟩) has a very distinct manner in which she talks, for those unaware her voice sounds very reminiscent of Siri/Alexa which strongly contrasts most other characters in the show who have fully articulated voices. Without going into details (to avoid spoilers), there is an argument that can be made that her voice is the default for Worker Drones.

Here is a transcript of a conversation between CYN and N.

N       - *walking in*

CYN - “You seem, upset—big brother—N. Perhaps you'd like to attend the gala with me?—light sip”

N        -  “Ahh, not sure we’re invited, little buddy. Why not just hang with me?”

CYN - “climbing, criss cross applesauce—am I—not wanted, N?”

N        - “aww dude, you know its her parents… ahh, don’t give me those eyes”

CYN - “giggle, I am so naughty.”

certain parts of N’s lines being altered to avoid spoilers (CYNs lines have been left virtually unchanged).

The most obvious part of her language is her rigid voice, it is very monotone. This is not hard to correlate to Autism as ‘robotic’ is a common descriptor used to describe one of the ways people who are autistic talk⟨20⟩. I do want to mention that although her voice is robotic, she isn’t emotionless, through her actions it is clear she can feel a wide range of complex emotions including humour and annoyance; it's just she struggles showing it⟨23⟩.

CYN also uses phrases when performing certain actions such as “criss cross applesauce” when she is sitting down; this is a sign of Echolalia⟨20⟩ which is very common for autistic people⟨20⟩. Her phrase “you’d like to attend the gala with me” also gives the implications of delayed Echolalia⟨21⟩. Note, certain things she vocalises like “giggle” and “annoyed expression” aren’t Echolalia.

CYN does not show any sins of having narrow interests which is usually a common  symptom of Autism⟨20⟩. This may be a result of her limited screen presence as we don’t get significant indications of any of her interests.

Since we don’t see CYN through multiple stages of her life, it is difficult to determine if her language skills have developed unevenly⟨20⟩. She does mix childish and formal language together as she talks which can be interpreted as implying uneven language skills. I think the explanation of Echolalia fits better.

Her face, although much less emotive, isn’t devoid of emotion; she can somewhat show emotions like fear and can be very expressive but only in a rigid and forced manner although her face is usually unexpressive. She also sometimes she visually shows the wrong emotions like with the picture above she is excited but here eyes are showing the scared emotion. All these is very stereotypical of autistic people and defies the common stereotype⟨22⟩.
