What the FUCK was this movie. It was SO CLOSE to being a genuine weirdo-suspense-horror thing, Jordan Peele style, except the murders are accompanied by cartoon sound effects, there’s wacky comic relief characters, and at one point all of Digital Underground shows up and does a concert? It’s like they made an unnerving horror dramedy and then changed their minds and turned it into a cartoon for teens—like Warner Bros thought they could use a big budget and Hollywood stars to make a Troma movie. Amazing production though, the dilapidated mansion, the spiky folk art in the moat, Mister Boneripper, most of the prosthetics…

Like I think I would even recommend it, as long as you don’t think I’m saying it’s good.
