i love glitch techs bc of how fun and cool the premise is at first glance until u think abt it for more than 2 seconds and everything starts falling apart. like yeah these gamer teens work in a multinational videogame company that can literally wipe peoples memories and replace them. why? so they can protect the city. from what? oh, videogame monsters that come out of glitchy consoles that were made by- waiiiiit. like honestly i wouldnt be surprised if bolypius was literally just an accumulation of years of corporate malpractice.

Hey Glitch Techs folks, I've figured it out.

Bolypius has the same memory-altering powers as a tech gauntlet. The reason no one can find them is that they wipe your memory if you ever track them down. This is why Miko's reset resistance is so important.

Also, Miko's parent's aren't her biological family (where Miko actually comes from remains a mystery). Hinobi most likely did something to her as an experiment, maybe she's a Glitch idk. But Hinobi messed with her family's memory to make them think she was their daughter. (We saw in the very first episode gauntlets, similar to the MIB flashy thing, don't just erase memories but also give you an opening to come up with fake memories).

This explains how Miko is able to have a family who are seemingly unaware of any weirdness whatsoever, while she herself definitely has something very weird somewhere in her past.

Starting today until October 21st, i’ll hold a contest for Bolypius!

Deadline: October 21st

Rules: no tracing, stealing, NO NSFW PLEASE yadayada yall know the drill for contests

Contest: Draw/write about my Bolypius doing whatever/however you’d like as long as it fits his character/design! (meaning gore is ok, but keep it minimal or make a non-gore version if you want a ton of gore, we want to keep the tags looking good)

This contest is for fun but most importantly, to spread the tags and word to netflix/nickelodeon that we want more! We have been trying to trend for ages and finally we get a taste of it, let’s not let it go to waste. Doesn’t matter what your skill is or how the quality is, every piece is appreciated and you’re helping the fandom grow and helping the show gain attention. I'm really glad that they solved the Ridley thing in the same season. I don't like it when an issue that could be solved by a single short conversation gets dragged out for Conflict Purposes

i mean i wouldnt call it completely solved lol... but yes i agree tho!!! i think glitch techs hits a pretty nice balance when it comes to what elements are episodic and monster of the week-y, and what elements are part of longer developments and arcs. ridley is SUUUUCH an interesting character and i really like that she wasn't... like... completely an ally, but not exactly an enemy either. and i think it was appropriate that they managed somewhat to figure things out between the characters without dragging it out unnecessarily

Can you do a theory on what plans hinobi have for miko, I'm mean seriously that last line from tutorial mode still has me going crazy and what dose this have to do with bolypious.

Oh wow, you have opened a can of worms on this one.

I've seen somewhere that Bolypius is based off the game Polybius, here is a pic from Wikipedia.

I believe that Bolypius is a glitch from the game, probably an extremely powerful glitch or one who can alter people's state of mind(which is also powerfull). I don't know much of anything about this game or the legend of this game, but Bolypius is likely based of Polypius.

The other part of your ask, was wondering what they plan to do with Miko? I have a few different theories that I will put in this post(not in any specific order).

1. Reseting

Due to her inability to be reset, there may come a time where HQ resets the city or the store and as Miko CAN'T be reset they have to deal with her in a different way. Maybe they will blackmail her into not telling the others(or eliminate her).

But we don't know exactly how specific the resets can be, can they erase a single person from peoples memory? If so, they would likely remove Miko from EVERYONE'S memory: her family, her friends, her fellow Glitch Techs, they may even erase her online data so it would be like she never existed.

2. They plan on using her as a weapon.

If Miko is a glitch she may have hidden abilities to tap into, abilities or powers HQ can use for themselves. So far for 'abilities' we have: can not be reset, extreme gaming skills, inhuman reflexes, and(although I haven't seen anyone mention this) glitches tend to appear around her/games she interact with tend to glitch after she interacts with them(ex: Hinobi Smash, Cakey Von Smasher, Nobi Gross Out, Smashasoaurs, Flunky Quest, Sock Em Rockers, and Karate Trainer).

3. There are others like her.

She may not be the only humanoid glitch, maybe she is a specific type of glitch, and there are others that are similar to her. Maybe HQ has like a squad of them or train them specifically to find Bolypius. Maybe Bolypius is the same type of glitch, and that's why they think she(and possibly others like her) can find this glitch.

4. She IS Bolypius

We know HQ is looking for Bolypius, but we don't know if they even know what Bolypius is. They may just know that there is a powerfull glitch, or a game that produces specific glitches, or a person who makes powerful glitches(let's be honest we don't have enough information to know if this thing is a person, glitch, or a game).

5. They experiment on her.

They called her a subject, they may plan on experimenting on her. Use her to find a way to make others unable to reset, give others her inhuman reflexes, or just straight up clone her.

6. She was created by Hinobi HQ

She is one of their test subjects that they put out into the open world to see how she would react and what would happen. The first thing we know about Miko's past is she moved to the city a few years ago, maybe it was to cover up her not being part of the family she is in. We also don't know if they can create false memories and implant them into peoples brains, not just erasing memories and mildly mind controlling them.

7. She is human

This may be one of those shows that says "none of it was real, it was just a game all along", if so Miko may have these abilities because she is human while all the others are programmed characters.

That was long, I may add more onto here as I feel like I'm forgetting a Glitched Miko theory...

Based on what Five said and how Inspector 7 (i forgot her name) acted, I'm pretty sure that Miko is a glitch, but like, an intentional glitch made by Hinobi as an experiment.

And speaking of intentional glitches, I'm pretty sure that's what Bolypius is too, Hinobi's experiment. Except they're a failed experiment, so Hinobi using Miko to track them down is killing two birds with one stone

Glitch techs thoughts.

That was fun. Annoyed that Netflix has decided to only release the first half of a season...so that’s annoying. Animation was sweet. I’m not a gamer or what have you, but I still got a good deal of references and they were very enjoyable . It’s a really fun series. Sad we only got much of Five’s family in the first episode. They seemed really awesome. Side characters were good. Main two enjoyable. And they dialogue never became overly obnoxious in a ‘Hey Fellow Kids’ kind of way with the lingo and what not. That said...I’ve got a ton of questions I really hope future stuff answers. The first episode was ‘Age of Hinobi’ so I’ve got to wonder if there are other Game companies or has Hinobi cornered the Market? Has there been other ones but Hinobi did it’s whole Mind wiping thing and they’re the only one to have existed? How did they develop the Mind wipe technology? Why can’t Miko be Mind Wiped? (It’s recognized as important her being ‘The Subject’). And of course...what is Bolypius? Is it a Game a Sentient villainous glitch? I recall there being that Polybius thing IRL that as an urban legend screwed with memories, caused illnesses and all that. Something about the FBI, Gambling dens, and so on...but they were there one day...gone the next. Is...oh! Bolypius could be a Rogue Prototype to Hinobi’s current tech? Memory wipe and all. Though if it is a game...I’ll be curious what sort. Whether it will be like it’s inspiration...or something like...I don’t know...adventure? The varying sentience of these Glitches is fascinating. Like...there was the one from the Multiplayer one that did what they did because programming...it’s all programming...but that Emma lady made that remark on no Intelligence being artificial so....could the Glitches gain more awareness and act beyond programming? Come to think of it...aren’t Glitches when something goes wrong with the Programming? I don’t know. The Hinobi company seems very suspect to say the least. Though we’ve only got an itty bitty hint. Also...why wasn’t Mitch put under some kind of suspension or something for his blatant abuse of Glitch tech technology? No consequences for that? At all? Bah.
