Hey! first off, I'm loving the new chapter(s) of A tall and small collection, the drama is with peak, and now we know there is a (spoilers for those who havent read yet) another person who knows about and is (maybe?) friends with borrowers! I'm not sure how far ahead you write your stories before posting, BUT, i think it would be really cool if we could see the recent events from POV of one of the borrowers living in the elevators, what does the average family feel during this whole ordeal?

I'm absolutely thrilled you've enjoyed A Tall and Small Collection S2. To answer your question, I try to write my chapters in advanced, but sometimes inspiration is (or isn't) there and I write in the moment. One of my main character flaws is being a perfectionist and not wanting anything to be released until it is perfect. I figured this and the other platforms I use are excellent places to break myself of that habit by releasing first drafts with mild edits.

As for your suggestion, I am absolutely down to write a one-shot (or series of them) from different perspectives throughout the community. I'm sad Soren, Ashlynn, and the bobbins' story has come to an end (pending a few one-shots here and there), but I would like to explore some of these other perspectives.

Any suggestions on who you'd want to see? Or just a random NPC?

Forbidden fruit ask time: Keith x Katarina. I know people in western fandom are understandably wary of this ship, but apparently it's one of the favourites for the Japanese audience and based on what I heard it actually has some decent foundation in novels (not as much as GeoKata, but still). Since you read novels and are #1 hamefura blog on Tumblr and know so much I wanted to ask you to tell us how KeiKata is doing in novels if it's okay owo??

owo!! lmao, I don't know about being the "#1 hamefura blog on tumblr" (I-I... I thought I was an art blog... :')) I mean I just like to ramble about hamefura lmao but I'm always happy to answer questions!

Yeah... Keith x Katarina is a hard subject to talk about considering how violent reactions can be depending on who you're talking to. I remember when Season 1 was airing, people really doesn't like Keith as a romantic option for Katarina due to them being siblings, and I'm honestly waiting for those people to react to the S2 OP and S2 in general. I've talked to a few people who don't like KeiKata at all, and they have the absolute right to dislike any ship that they want, but it did make me sad to know how much Keith is hated by the EN Fandom considering how loved he is in the JP Fandom. He's pretty much the most favorite male character and the second most shipped with Katarina.

A lot of people's issues with Keith stems from the fact that he and Katarina are step-sibling and that it's really weird for Keith to be romantically interested in Katarina (a person who sees him as a little brother completely). People are accusing him of taking advantage of Katarina's trust in him to keep her to himself and that pursuing her romantically would destroy the familial bond that they've had for years. The thing is that Keith treasures Katarina as a person, not as a sibling. Yes, Keith sees her as family, but he also sees her as more than family. To him, being able to be together with Katarina doesn't mean that he'll have to love her differently, but that he will be able to love her even more deeply and honestly. You can even headcanon that the reason Keith calls Katarina "big sister" is because he's asked to do so, and because it's a symbol of his acceptance into the family, but maybe not necessarily how he sees her.

Some of the material that will be covered in Season 2 is about Keith, so I don't know how much I want to talk about that since most fans will be able to see it themselves. Keith has it the hardest because his position makes it so that he's the least likely to get his feelings across to Katarina due to their relationship. In one of the upcoming arcs in the anime, Keith will be able to break Katarina's baka shield in the same way Geordo does: by using actions instead of words, and by just literally finding the courage to take the risk and tell her.

That's where one of the interesting things about hamefura comes into play: one of the reasons why people dislike KeiKata so much is that they feel like the reveal of Keith's feelings would awaken disgust and betrayal in Katarina. Few fanfics of hamefura portray it that way, that Katarina would be weirded out by his feelings and reject them immediately. Maybe it's because Katarina is aware of Keith as not only a sibling, but also as a romance-able character in an otome game (also because of the nature of this series lmao), that in canon, she doesn't take his confession negatively and is flushed/embarrassed by it just like Geordo's confession. I know the "weirded out" reaction is the most realistic, but maybe Katarina also understands that their relationship doesn't have a clear label. They care for each other very much and whether that bond is romantic, familial or friendship isn't something they bothered to really name, maybe? Lmao I don't know, that last bit is just speculation on my part, I can't exactly get into Katarina's head and pinpoint what she thought of Keith's confession.

If I'm being honest, she forgets about Keith's confession more often than she does Geordo, mostly because nothing really changed after he made his feelings clear. I wouldn't say that she dismissed it, it's just that she's forgetting it because in her perspective being loved as a woman and as family by Keith both means that he'll take care of her and shower her with attention (aka no difference).

When I think about how "KeiKata is doing in the novels", for some reason the first thing that comes to my mind is the line "how they treated Geordo in the anime, from a JP perspective". I know that sounds confusing, but what I mean is that a lot of Arc 2 - FL2 scenes with KeiKata is kinda fanservice (aka the thing they tried to do for Geordo in the anime which worked for JP fans but made him hated by the EN fans) (not me trying to insert Geordo in a post about Keith hehe :V). Excluding all the Keith scenes that are coming in Season 2 of the anime and the current arc of the manga, the story really likes to test Keith's self-control when it comes to seeing Katarina as a woman.

Keith's scenes with Katarina aren't necessarily "hot and spicy" by any means, but people nowadays tend to be quite bothered and annoyed at typical japanese romance tropes being played out in modern anime series (such as bed-pining, surprised kisses and kabedons). I mean yeah I'd be bothered too if someone pulled those moves on me in real life, but for the japanese audience this is what their fanservice is like so that's the kind of stuff we'll see in hamefura. Just like Geordo, Keith is given a few scenes where he's put in a romantic spot with Katarina after he confessed, but it always just ends with him backing out and hoping that it at least could remind Katarina of how he sees her (like bed-pinning in LN6 & affectionate touches from Katarina in LN8). A lot of hate towards Keith stems from these scenes because people sees this as a disrespect towards Katarina and the familial relationship they have. These scenes helps reinforce how Keith sees Katarina as a woman and not as a sister, but depending on who you're siding with, you're either gonna be disgusted at Keith or extremely pissed off at Katarina's lack of propriety & density.

Like, people are getting angry at Keith for being a teenage boy who is being bothered by affectionate touches from the girl he likes who is also always approaching him with only a nightgown? I mean blame the author or Keith all you want but at least put some responsibility on Katarina as well :V People are really saying "well, he shouldn't be bot and bothered by it in the first place, they are siblings! that's disgusting!" well again, Keith sees her as a woman and Katarina needs to be aware that she shouldn't be so touchy with the opposite sex regardless if it's family. Keith kinda blames Katarina for the way he feels given how she acts around him despite being unaware of his feelings, which is also the cause of some hatred towards Keith.

People are saying that Keith is dumping *all* the responsibility onto Katarina because she acts in such an affectionate way towards him, but in reality Keith feels really bad & also hates himself for being so attracted to her when she doesn't even know about his feelings. He puts a lot of blame onto himself and thinks he's just as bad as Geordo sometimes (not saying Geordo is bad, more like Keith's "idea of Geordo" being bad lmao). Keith always walks on eggshells around Katarina because he doesn't want to disrespect how he feels about her and how she feels about him. It's just sad to see people hate him for the few moments where his self-control breaks so that he can act on his honest emotion, and accuse him of abusing Katarina's trust :((

Just like Geordo, Keith has made it clear how he feels and strongly desires to pursue her romantically, but his problem of being the step-sibling is still there. I haven't gotten my own copy of JP Volume 10 yet, I feel like I just wanna wait for the EN version instead of using GT, but multiple spoilers have noted that while Keith hasn't made progress in getting approval of his feelings from Katarina's side, he's at least able to get an approval from his family. Well, by that I mean Keith has already confessed his romantic feelings about Katarina to their father Luigi, and he replied by saying that he approves of whoever Katarina chooses for herself. Keith realizes that all he needs to do is get Katarina to return his feelings. When he does, his family wont hate him, but instead he'll be able to love them and be loved in the same, yet different way.

TLDR; a lot has happened to Keith throughout the light novels. He's progressing slowly and steadily just like Geordo, and is leagues ahead compared to the other characters. He has confessed his feelings and got reassurance of his relationship with his parents. Keith and Katarina's relationship itself hasn't really changed though, but it's nice to know that Keith is at least laying the foundations for his hypothetical future with her. Katarina doesn't really think about Keith enough to be able to tell how she feels about his confession or if her opinion on him has changed at all though, so take that as either an L or a W for Keith.

Thanks for being the voice of reason this morning! I was shocked to see so many people angry and already boycotting the season..like, what is happening? Over something that, in my opinion, is barely anything new. Same thing happened with the Netflix Turkey “leak” last week. All this drama was made and the information was so, so minor. This character that many probably now hate <for good reason if you don’t like that stuff>…they released photos of them, they wouldn’t do that if the character was going to play someone minor. They say that all press is good press? GT did nothing wrong but people were attacking them and others for sharing the article? It was insane. This is what networks literally want because it hypes up the show and you either tune in to lovewatch it or hatewatch it, but either way- you are tuning in. They know we are tuning in no matter what lol Today, I definitely realized just how strongly “dedicated” people are in this fandom. Not a bad thing, of course not, but some things I saw were so beyond unnecessary. The reactions were…something else. Saying how the cast were probably crying together and heartbroken, essentially “speaking” for them. Yikes! We know the team & cast are great, but this is how press for shows literally works. It won’t be the first nor last time this happens. Again, it was just insane this morning. I wonder if I was ever like that? lol

Thank you so much! I actually cried reading your message. It's been a shitty day at work and the feedback from what I posted this morning has been so extraordinary. I'm always nervous making my first post in a new fandom because I always feel like the outsider having come in so late but the response as been amazing!. I cannot tell you what it means to me!

That was exactly the reason I posted what I did. The info wasn't anything new and I couldn't understand why people were getting so upset over it. Another ask said it best, alot of fans are wanting six episodes of loving, sunshine and rainbow Wilmon but that's such a boring show, no one would watch it. Even the best romance media has some kind of drama for the couple to overcome. Why? Because it's normal and it makes the payoff so much sweeter. I want loving scenes with them, of course. But the drama and figuring crap out is what makes the romance stronger, if that makes sense.

But what really upset me was the babying the actors and creators and being so horrible to GT and the writers of that article. For me, it started with that story on IG from I think RydingBrasil about not sharing the pics and articles and I was like what? This is legit promo. Why wouldn't we share it? Not to mention, it was like you said, "speaking for the actors". This is a common problem across fandoms and one that drives me absolutely crazy. They are professionals, they know how this works. The reaction of thinking they were all crying together was...juvenile. It's like when a celebrity says they have anxiety and everyone seems to think they need to protect said celebrity from literally everything. I said it before, there is being respectful of things like that and then there's babying them. But yeah, this is how press literally works and the whole thinking it was a leak over a spoiler that was frankly inconsequential and wanting us not to share it would have hampered the show, the hype, and these actors we love.

And, as much as I hate to admit it, I was probably very much like that. (Maybe that's why I could recognize it for what it was! LOL)

And thank you again. I actually feel so welcomed in this fandom in a way I never have before so I'll definitely stick around and share my thoughts on s2. I'm so excited for it!

With Cass changing sides with how she views Corona (and with the current strain on her relationships with Eugene and Rapunzel) how will this change Cas's and Caine's interactions? Will all of this bring them closer? Should we anticipate a possible rift in Cass's relationships with Eugene and Raps?

spoilers, anon! 😔 though i will say that all of these relationships are dynamic and not necessarily linear in how they develop. (also that there are already rifts in cassandra’s relationships with rapunzel and eugene.)

but i will happily chatter about the first two arcs and the kind of… overarching structure of moonless air. because it’s fun 8)

except wait to back up a little. benighted first. benighted follows a very strict plot structure of inciting incident -> rising action -> first crisis -> aftershocks -> second crisis directly resulting from first crisis -> aftershocks -> third crisis directly resulting from second crisis -> aftershocks -> climax -> falling action/resolution.

(cass gets a letter -> cass writes more letters/character building stuff/emergence of black rock subplot -> journal theft -> cass wrestles guilt, doubt, and fear -> party at janus point -> cass is a hero!/sirin reveals shattering truths -> blizzard and BOOM -> cassandra flees herzingen/sugracha enters the ring -> party at janus point…2! -> getting the band back together.)

once the big domino of the first crisis began to fall, things just… snowballed. avalanched.

moonless air is not like that. it follows a much more episodic structure - it has arcs instead of crises - with each episode strung along the intertwined through lines of 1) cassandra’s personal journey [the emotional core] and 2) the quest for the moonstone [the overarching plot]. (sidebar: this is the exact same plot structure tts s2 used except item #1 was rapunzel’s personal journey.) WHICH MEANS. that every arc has 1) its own little self contained ‘cass journey’ and 2) pushes the moonstone quest forward in some way beyond the obvious of they are traveling toward aphelion.

(sidebar again: tts s2 accomplished item #1 but not item #2, as the only episodes that drove the moonstone quest forward in any way beyond physical travel were BTCW [met adira, learnt black rocks were now inert], KOTS [gained scroll piece], RATGT [dark kingdom/moonstone lore, crispy hand], rapunzeltopia [cass face heel turn begins], LAF [demanitus exposition, completed scroll], and DC [climax]. that is… 5 out of 21 episodes. this is why the pacing sags.)

sO.

in moonless air there are 10 arcs: alcorsīa, vardaros, quintonia, spire, swamp, azoth, GT, HOYT, badtimes, and aphelion. with a handful of transitional chapters scattered in between. we’ve just reached the end of the vardaros arc - chapter 8 transitions us into quintonia. which means we’re done with and i can talk about the mini-journeys and plot engines of two! whole arcs now.

alcorsīa

- the purpose of this arc is, first, to transition from the end of benighted into the eldritch travelogue that is moonless air by establishing the immediate status quo that team corona and team pirate settle into once they are forced by circumstances to merge, and, second, to lay the groundwork for one of the big…recurring themes of moonless air which is how people are sculpted by their pasts.

so we get cass meeting moira’s family and making this connection with her own aunt and how that causes her to feel the absence of her lost family much more keenly, and we also get cass having these buried/forgotten memories starting to trickle free, and we get the huge unfolding clash between rapunzel (who is trying to make sense of cassandra’s past without any of the perspective, people skills, or personal experience to do so and fails miserably) and cassandra (who is trying to communicate her past without exposing herself to further pain and failing miserably on both fronts). and we also get caine making jabs at rapunzel with history that rapunzel was only very tangentially a part of. there is - by design - no emotional resolution to any of this. it just builds up behind the dam of people not talking to each other. that’s the mini-journey.

the plot engine here is obvious: varian learns about a new kind of magic by studying the zampermin and making connections with what he already knows about turul. there is also a smaller secondary plot engine of cassandra learning a bit more about zhan tiri. nothing too complicated yet, we’re just getting warmed up.

vardaros

- the purpose of this arc is to break the stalemate of the alcorsīa arc. that stalemate exists because moira thinks rapunzel is a privileged and spoiled brat who treats cassandra poorly, rapunzel thinks moira is a cruel and domineering monster who treats everyone poorly, and cassandra is trying to appease them both whilst also cajoling them into getting along. and in order to break it she has to pick a side.

so we get cass sort of ping-ponging back and forth between defending rapunzel to moira and then defending moira to rapunzel, and we also get cassandra changing her perspective on both of them as a result of this big catastrophe, which shows her a really vulnerable side of moira and a more thoughtless/self-absorbed side of rapunzel. she realizes that moira isn’t this strong, snarky, 100% self-sufficient person but actually someone harboring a lot of anguish and who could really use her support sometimes, just as cass sometimes needs hers. and she also sees that moira is willing to bend and compromise a lot by rescuing lance and eugene after the threat to her ship becomes a moot point, but that that isn’t enough to make rapunzel (or eugene) reconsider their judgment of her on their own. and this change in perspective leads to her deciding that she’s going to get off the fence into moira’s pasture, because she now trusts moira to meet her halfway and doesn’t have that same trust in rapunzel.

meanwhile the primary plot engine is dipping our toes into the saporian agenda for this trip, which is very different from the moonstone quest, and the secondary plot engine is the dream sequence in 7, which is connected to both the overarching plot and to cassandra’s personal journey, and there are also two tiny tertiary plot engines in the form of 1) varian’s success in contacting adira and her promise to meet them at the spire and 2) abraham learning definitively what happened to his niece after midwinter.

so that is where things stand Right Now. 8 transitions us to quintonia, and the purpose of the quintonia arc is first to examine how the dynamics of the rapunzel-cassandra-moira triangle shift as a result of cassandra’s choice in vardaros, and second to take our first real dive into the lore via varian’s research. make of that what you will and stay tuned 8)

In one Jon, Martin, Tim and Sasha all go out for drinks and get REAL drunk. Unable to hold back, Jon manages to tell em all about gt. He’s lucky that Tim and Sasha had a few more drinks and do not remember anything that happened that night, unfortunately martin does. Who tries to bring it up in very awkward ways and is just trying to indulge/support jon. They play secret santa at the institute and Jon knows who got him when he gets an arrietty dvd

in my second one both jon AND martin like gt and being small and big respectively. in s2 when jon stalks him he finds out, not only does martin have a gt twitter but jon has interacted with him before! but then the plot kinda takes over and jon is WAY too busy for him to think about that. So it takes him until the safehouse to tell Martin, who is both surprised and overjoyed. I did write something on this one which I can post if anybody wants to see

in both aus it could be very fun if jon gets shrunk and needs to deal with that, but also kinda enjoys it

1992 Ante la crisis económica mundial y el descenso en sus ventas, Porsche AG ejecuta un extenso programa de medias. Bajo el liderazgo del Dr. Ing. Wendelin Wiedeking, miembro del Consejo Directivo responsable de Producción y Gestión de Materiales desde octubre de 1991, son introducidos nuevos procesos de trabajo organizativos de producción y “producción eficiente”, y son efectuados cambios fundamentales en las jerarquías y los procesos. Basado en la filosofía ‘Kaizen’ presentada por una delegación japonesa de expertos en producción, el recientemente introducido Porsche Improvement Process (PIP) da como resultado cambios duraderos en la competitividad y productividad de la empresa, gracias a la participación de todos sus empleados. Las medidas de racionalización –trabajo a tiempo parcial y un total de 1.850 despidos, entre otras– también son necesarias para agilizar los procesos de trabajo y los procedimientos.

El 30 de septiembre el Presidente del Consejo Directivo, Arno Bohn, deja la empresa. El primero de octubre, el Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking asume sus funciones y es nombrado portavoz del Consejo Directivo.

1993 En el Salón del Automóvil de Detroit, el Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking y el diseñador jefe Harm Lagaay presentan el estudio de diseño vanguardista ‘Boxster’, cuyo diseño hace referencia al legendario auto de carreras 550 Spyder.

En septiembre, una nueva etapa evolutiva del Porsche 911 es presentada en el Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Fráncfort. Además de su recién diseñado chasis de aluminio, el Porsche 911 Carrera tipo 993 se distingue por su diseño armonioso, así como por un motor bóxer de 3.6 litros sustancialmente renovado.

1994 El sistema de cambio automático Tiptronic S del Porsche 911 Carrera, con botones para cambiar las marchas en el volante, marca el comienzo de una nueva experiencia de conducción Porsche, a partir del modelo del año 1995 en adelante.

El Porsche 962 celebra un inesperado regreso a las 24 Horas de Le Mans. Fueron fabricado tres vehículos 962 Dauer Le Mans GT en Weissach en cooperación con Jochen Dauer Racing, con modificaciones basadas en las reglamentaciones enmendadas para la categoría GT1. Con un doblete en la categoría GT1 y un triplete en la categoría GT2, Porsche consigue su victoria absoluta número 13 en las 24 Horas de Le Mans.

1995 En el Salón del Automóvil de Ginebra, en marzo, es presentada una nueva generación del Porsche 911 Turbo (993). Lo más destacado del superdeportivo con tracción total es el motor biturbo, que está equipado con el sistema de control de gases de escape OBD II y representa el motor de serie con los valores de emisión más bajos del mundo. Los rines de aluminio de diseño de radios huecos, vistas por primera vez en un vehículo de producción en serie, son otra innovación.

Después de que la producción de la línea de modelos de cuatro cilindros 968 y la línea de modelos de ocho cilindros 928 acabara al final del año modelo 1995, Porsche ofrece variantes en el automóvil deportivo clásico aún más fascinantes con el 911 Carrera 4S (993) y 911 Targa (993), presentado en septiembre. Un techo de cristal eléctrico que se desliza bajo la ventana trasera es una de las novedades innovadoras de la Targa.

1996 El 15 de julio sale de la línea de montaje de Zuffenhausen el millonésimo vehículo Porsche. El automóvil de aniversario, un Porsche 911 Carrera, es entregado a la policía de carreteras de Baden-Württemberg.

El Porsche Boxster (986) presentado a mediados de septiembre establece nuevos puntos de referencia en términos de fabricación de automóviles deportivos. El tan esperado roadster de motor central es recibido con entusiasmo por los medios, distribuidores, importadores y clientes por igual. Incluso antes de que sea presentado ya Porsche ha recibido más de 10.000 órdenes ‘ciegas’ para el biplaza. 1997 A mediados de 1997 Porsche AG forma una empresa conjunta con Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Las dos compañías acuerdan fabricar motores conjuntamente en Milwaukee (Estados Unidos). Esta es la culminación de una asociación establecida entre Porsche y el fabricante de motocicletas en 1969. Lo más destacado de esta cooperación es el tipo de motor ‘Revolution’ desarrollado por Porsche para la producción en serie, que desde 2002 en adelante es utilizado en la ‘V-Rod’ de Harley-Davidson.

En septiembre, un año después del exitoso lanzamiento al mercado del Porsche Boxster, es presentado el nuevo 911 Carrera (996) en el Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Fráncfort bajo el lema ‘Evolution 911’. Al ser un desarrollo completamente nuevo, la nueva generación de autos deportivos está propulsada por primera vez por un motor plano de seis cilindros y cuatro válvulas refrigerado por agua. El diseño interpreta las líneas clásicas del 911 de una manera innovadora y se destaca por su bajo coeficiente de arrastre de 0,30.
