✍ Favorite thing about writing the muse?

( Almost…. everything. Mentally, I’m trying to describe a specific thing but it keeps coming down to an abstract summary of just his entire character– my particular reading of his character at least. I guess overall I’m just really enamored with the way he thinks in general, and getting to convey that via not just what he says but the narrative around his dialogue.

The sheer amount of times I’ve laughed at his thought process because his absurdity managed to surprise me mid-way writing it. )

I have been obsessed with the Joker since I was 4 in 1989 when I first saw this movie. My obsession went from Jack to Heath to Joaquin and I love all 3 of them (and Mark Hamill of course) for very different reasons, but they’re all super special to me. 

Also... 89 is a very special movie to me. The movie and its characters just mean a lot to me and since it’s Munday... I used to watch it a lot or listen to the score when I was having bad days at school because I was being bullied and/or beat up. Nothing could hurt me in Gotham. Gotham was my happy, safe space which I know is a hilarious thing to say given, ya know... Gotham lol.

See, not only is Keaton my favorite Bruce/Bats, but 89 is literally my favorite movie of all time. It’s very VERY near and dear to me. I’ve loved it since I first saw it when I was 4. It is my happy place. It is the movie I have watched thousands and thousands times over and never tire of. I love these characters and the world Burton created for them. 89 and Returns are literally WHY I love Batman. They’re literally WHY my favorite character of all time is the Joker. They’re WHY my bouquet at my wedding was purple and orange flowers with light up bat lights. They’re WHY I wore Batman/Joker Chucks to my wedding. They’re WHY my wedding was Batman themed. Due to a pre-recorded speech given by my bestie that I consider like my own brother who couldn’t be there, they’re WHY Partyman by Prince played during my wedding ceremony following the words “Gentlemen, let’s broaden our minds! Lawrence!” Hell, they’re WHY I am even RPing on tumblr.
