If I asked anyone for a hug at 3am, would you come to my house as fast as you could to comfort me? Do I have to reach the point of crying and begging to get the comfort I need? Is there any true friend willing to spend money on gas or plane ticket or hell a bus fair to come see me even if your as broke as me? Cause I really just want a hug. Not virtual. Not a text saying I'm here for you. As much as I love that and even send it myself. Sometimes I just want the real thing. Even if your here for an hour cause you have to go back for work. Just the knowledge that you came to me when I'm curled up in a ball trying to keep it all in, trying to stay together, that you did what ever you could to see me, that makes me happy. It makes me feel special. Cause no matter how many times we talk on the phone or text or email each other.... sometimes I just want a real person to hug. So I don't feel so alone in this world. Cause I know there are others like me tonight. Just wanting that comfort, wanting to cry on someone shoulder. Wanting to hold on till I fall asleep. Wanting to feel like I meant something. I know it's not easy now a days. And I know work is important... but I just.... I need a hug. A real genuine hug from my best friend. From a sister.... from a love who promised that even if the world is messed up, we can get through it. I can get through it. Tell me everything is okay even when I know it's not. Tell me I'm fine when I'm really falling apart. Cause sooner or later I will be okay. And just knowing you believe makes me want to. And knowing I have you there to help me through is all I need. So tonight whether it be 10 at night or 3am. Text your friend and swear to them you would do what ever it takes to be by their side if they need it. Maybe you are the one who needs it. So share this. Share your feelings with those close. See who will take the time out, spend the money, be your rock for you. To be there in person and to let them know you can do the same. Cause sometimes, real hugs mean more than virtual ones.

Patience

It’s a word no one cares for to hear. Most decided to say it to temp others to calm down. Majority of the time it’s to remind themselves of what they can gain from it. If I were patience I would gather more knowledge then demand information that is shared in little pieces. But I believe if we actually wait. And I mean “us all”, including me, we will see a future worth living. We all look for a reason to live. We look for something positive. We all want to be richer in health and in cash. But if we don’t have the P word… some times we are left with rushing to a goal that is getting further away. There is so much life to live and so little time. But if we wait. We can freeze time and enjoy the happiness that passes in moments. By rushing through life we can miss such things and everything’s value deteriates…

So tell me if we are to wait like a tiger hunting it’s prey, are we more likely to catch our food or chase it away if we rush in?

Patience… a taboo word we all say but refuse to practice. Evaluate and decide that sometimes the best action is to sit and wait.
