"Whatever he did we will pay for" Mrs. Bakugo started and Aizawa raised his hand to stop her "I'm actually here on behalf of U.A to extend an invitation for your son to attend the general studies program as we have recently opened a spot in that class post sports festival" Aizawa began and watched their reactions carefully, Mr. Bakugo seemed curious and a bit excited at the concept of his son having the experience but Mrs Bakugo seemed... Less thrilled "would that affect Katsuki?" She asked simply and Aizawa raised an eyebrow at her statement.

"The two would be in completely different programs, how on earth would that affect Katsuki?" Mr Bakugo said simply and the blond woman glared without any bite at her husband "Principal Nedzu is particularly interested in his intelligence quirk and would like to talk about it when we do the transfer if you are willing to agree"

And the color drained from their faces.

(Name) And Kirishima cuddled on (name)s beanbag chair, a massive thing that was (name)s first purchase as (name) watched kirishima play a phone game "so you're just building and adventuring?" (Name) Seemed intrigued but also deeply confused at the game "yeah, it's a sandbox game-- you can do basically anything"

"Are there animals?"

"Oh a bunch, they actually just updated the dogs so they have more variety"

"And how would he be able to afford it?" Mrs Bakugo said coldly and Aizawa resisted the urge to roll his eyes "U.A has offered (name) a full scholarship" Mr Bakugo seemed excited at this "really?!" The man seemed over the moon at this but his wife less thrilled "I told you to let him apply!" He said almost angrily and Aizawa looked between them "but the chances of katsu--"" you need one parents approval right?" He cut her off to look at Aizawa who nodded "then you have my approval"

"Masaru!" Mrs Bakugo said angrily and the man looked at her seriously "if we don't do this for our son, we will fail more than we already have"

"Kirishima, time to go" Aizawa said simply and looked at (name) "I expect to see you at U.A Monday with your things packed" the pro said and it took the teens a second to process it all before kirishima grinned at his boyfriend "Yo! We get to hang out all the time now!"

"I get to go?"

"Yup, now better pack, you got a week before you start, Nedzu wants a meeting first thing tomorrow"

"YOU GUYS ARENT GONNA BELEIVE THIS!" Kirishima shouted as he walked into the livingroom area and the others looked confused "my boyfriend got into U.A!" He boasted and Bakugo turned to look at his best friend confused "what." Bakugo said flatly and Kirishima grinned "yeah man! Your brother's gonna be in gen Ed!" Everyone looked at bakugos reaction curiously as many emotions passed his face before just grunting and turning back to his phone.

(Name)s week at home was tense with his mom but his dad always had his back, always making sure he was cared for and the parent who made an effort, he was (name)s rock.

"Just don't get in your brother's way"

Words he heard constantly up until his dad drove him to U.A, giving him an envelope with money "I'll be sending you weekly allowances... I know you have money of your own but that's your money, this is for any emergency things you need" he said softly and (name) took the envelope quietly "I'm sorry that I haven't been enough for you, I know I could do more"

"Mom's a hard person, I know you feel guilt but I know that she doesn't make it easy and you have been there when it counts and stuck up for me so I could be here... I love you dad"

"I love you too kid, now go be stronger than I am"

The two embraced before the man helped (name) get everything into his dorm, kirishima showing up to help "so you're the boy my son's seeing! A pleasure to meet you" (name) smiled as the two greeted and got along very well "yeah! I'm also bakubros best friend!" He said excitedly and Mr. Bakugo had a small sliver of hope that this young man could bridge the two siblings... It was wishful thinking but he always had hope.

Hope that somehow the relationship his wife ruined would be fixed.

(Name) Didn't sleep well the first night, awkward in the new environment and the sudden shift from what he was used to.

Tomorrow he would get an introduction course under Nedzu, the rat wanted to do some tests to truly know what level he was at to gauge where they should move towards education wise.

Things were awkward during lunch as (name) sat alone, everyone hearing about Nedzu's private student and avoided him as such but (name) just played chess on his little travel chess set in the corner, periodically eating his food.

He had an hour to kill, might as well look for any weaknesses in his plays.

"There you are!" (Name) Looked up to see his boyfriend and other 1A students who looked curiously "Aizawa said we got to have lunch at the same time!" The Bakugo siblings locked eyes and (name) offered a seat to his boyfriend who plopped beside him with a grin "so you play chess, what's that like?" The pink girl named Mina asked excitedly and (name) was shy as he responded "a lot of travelling, I been throughout Japan for openings" he said softly "how many have you won?" A blond boy named denki asked and (name) looked a little more confident "I haven't lost, so maybe 50, I have been playing professionally since I was 9"

"Whoa... What do you get if you win?" He asked and (name) thought "the U.A open won me about 100k... But that was the open to let me qualify to international opens but my dad worries I might be too young for that" he said simply and the others looked shocked at the price and did the math "damn you're rich"

Katsuki didn't know this, how many games his brother went to between school and such or how good he was at it, he didn't think about it much but now...

... He kind of felt envious that his best friend knew more about his brother than he did.

The bakusquad asked all sorts of questions throughout lunch and eventually a few more 1A students joined and Momo even planned a chess match between her and (name) for fun.

And for the first time, Katsuki saw his brother look genuinely happy talking to people, typically he didn't talk to people.

It was nice to see.

He has a whole ten-year plan for how he’s going to get into UA’s hero course and get his hero license fully quirkless. He plans for every wild, unlikely scenario he can think of because his anxiety gets so bad if he doesn’t go through every possible outcome, every way his life could landslide into disaster–– but Izuku never planned for this. For once, he doesn’t have a plan and he doesn’t have time to think of one. All he can see is Yagi-san’s lined, kind face looking resigned as he stares down the villain in his shop. Yagi-san, who is the closest thing to a father figure Izuku has ever had. Izuku doesn’t think. He just moves. (Or: Izuku saves the number one hero, gets a hero license way earlier than anyone wanted, realizes that maybe hero society isn’t as great as he thought it was, and everything just kind of falls apart from there.)

Would you prefer a bnha sequel to be no/small time skip and it just starts off with class 1A now as 2 or 3A , a medium 4-5 year skip skip where all the students are all grown up and starting to establish themselves as pro hero’s, or a even longer skip like boruto about a second gen of hero’s that belong to the characters we already know?

None/small, I think.

I really like the students and I feel like we missed out on a lot of their school life and their relationship development, so I’d love to see them still in school and still growing those closer bonds to each other.

(Especially now that Shinso is in their class. He’s one of my favs. You can’t finally put him in class A and then end the story 😭)

If there is a time skip, that’s fine too. I’d prefer it to be around their graduation so we can see how their pro hero careers start. That’s a process we haven’t really gotten an in-depth look at yet.

STATUS: civilian

PERSONALITY: kind, friendly, outgoing, energetic, stubborn

BACKSTORY: Dabi's secret love child

jk, not entirely. Sora was an accidental pregnancy that Fen didn't find out about until the aftermath of the PLF war, at which point she and Dabi weren't on speaking terms, and she had no way of getting in contact with him regardless. With the state of Japan, medical help was also a bit difficult to seek out, so she ended up carrying the baby to term. While he was an unexpected development in her life, and having a kid wasn't something she would have pursued under normal circumstances, she wouldn't trade her little bug for the world and is doing her best to be a good mom for him

Dabi (or more accurately Touya) didn't really enter Sora's life until he was 6 years old (when he was mostly recovered from his injuries from the final fight and finally let out on parole at behest of his family). But he's trying his best to be more involved in his son's life, while figuring out life after prison.

Additional notes and fun facts:

he loves swimming and his favorite animal is the whale shark!

his favorite color is orange and he loves citrus flavored foods

like his dad, he doesn't like to eat fish (not because he doesn't like the taste of fish though, but because he hates the idea of potentially eating the friends of the fish he sees at the aquarium. He however LOVES fish sticks, but nobody tell him what they're made out of!)

He lived in America for a couple years of his early life before returning to Japan with Fen (she had finally finished her degree and landed a job that brought her back to the country)

He was a late term birth!

He's not a fan of his relatives on mom's side of the family (they're a bit too much for him at times) but he loves his dad's side to pieces (even his Ojisan....)

He met his dad when he was 2.5 (a visitation), but he doesn't remember much about that visit. That was also the first time Touya was made aware of him as well

Hawks (outside of the Todorokis and his dad) is his favorite babysitter (which Touya hates)

Sora isn't entirely sure what it is his dad has done, or why there's so much tension between him and the rest of his family/Fen/regarding his past, but he loves his dad with his entire heart, and nothing is going to change that

Sora is a generally good kid, but he has his moments, and was a somewhat fussy baby

Oh i have a character: Shoji

My first impression: I immediately went "Oh, he's a big kid!!"

My impression now: THAT IS MY SUNSHINE, MY PRECIOUS ONE, HE IS EVERYTHING!! HE DESERVES HAPPINES!!

Favorite thing about that character: It's so funny to me that he is the youngest of the 1A kids, yet is the tallest.

Least favorite thing: That he's not appreciated enough.

Favorite line/scene: During the Provisional License Exams, it's an added scene that wasn't in the manga, if I remember correctly. Asui got in a pickle and goes into hibernation for a while and because Shoji has all those arms, he cradles her to keep her warm and it's the cutest thing ever. Like??? He's just so great??? 😭

Favorite interaction that character has with another: It's underrated, but his relationship with Jiro. I love seeing those two being the lookouts and there's this scene in the baseball OVA, that is also another Shoji scene I love, when Jiro is like "Oh, it's getting brutal" and he suggests she takes a dive to get out the game, she fakes it and he plays along. It's so funny! 😆

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: Oooh... to choose I have to go with Asui here. I want him to have more scene with everyone, but I'm choosing Asui because he also had teamed up with her during the Cavalry Battle and again, the whole hugging thing. The idea of those two just being besties is just too cute.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: Ever seen Nanbaka? Okay, if you haven't, there's this character named Rock that I also like a lot. He's a lot more aggressive and outgoing than Shoji, but he's a sweet, big guy just like Shoji.

A headcanon about that character: You know how Shoji wears a mask and usually it's blue? I headcanon that he has a bundle of the same mask and many other masks of different designs and colors that he wears just to feel some pizzazz that day.

A song that reminds me of that character: The song Comedy by Gen Hoshino, which is also SPY X FAMILY's first ending song. That song just has a vibe to it that reminds me of Shoji and it's also a real catchy song. The song lyrics, I just feel, resonate with how he is.

An unpopular opinion about that character: I guess this also would count as a headcanon, too, but I just think Shoji is the best hugger there is in the BNHA verse. He is also a character I just think no one could be able to hate him. Like, how could you hate him?!

Favorite picture: Okay, I have two! The first one, he just looks so cozy!! The second one tickles me because he's holding a bunch of oranges.

miscellaneous bnha verse headcanons.

seph's chosen hero name would've been nightwalker, had she not been pulled out of UA before they could graduate. ( laughs in 'doesn't have a hero verse for seph because life & bad choices always lead them to villainy' )

her hero fighting style is a balance between range fighting (sniper rifle, pistols, throwing knives) and wrecking shop in close combat with high-velocity martial arts and dirty street fighting.

much of her hero fighting relies on precise hits (to vulnerable spots and pressure points), agility, and speed rather than brute force. this is a pretty stark contrast to the way they fight as a villain: high-damage blows, breaking bones, really brutal stuff.

seph carves extra time out of her schedule to train while purposefully not utilizing her quirk. it's extremely important to her sense of identity to be able to hold her own against quirk users without needing its assistance (it's a pride thing). if other members of class 1-A notice and ask her about it, she'll try to rope them into training quirkless too.

during current-gen verse, they intern with snipe!! :)

quirk-related notes. (cut for long.)

seph's voidsmoke quirk allows her to create large swaths of darkness within an area (a move called veil). inside that particular darkness, within which one is surrounded by faint and glimmering stars, she can sense where people and objects are, aka where the smoke's mass is displaced. this puts her at a huge advantage when fighting within a veil.

while fighting back-to-back or side by side with a partner, she'll usually not pull down the veil unless they have some kind of night vision. when the veil is active, it's safe to assume seph is fighting alone. not to worry! they can take on quite a few people in that fucked-up little space.

in brightly-lit areas, it takes double or triple the amount of physical effort to create and maintain a veil, as it is a patch of complete darkness — blocking more light puts an extra strain on her. if it's bright enough (ie direct sunlight with no shade) it's not possible at all. in addition, if a fire is started or explosions/flashbangs go off inside the veil, it tires her out much faster to continually re-strengthen it.

in general, voidsmoke counters — and is countered by — light/fire. because she can control the molecular structure of the smoke, it can be used to smother or dampen flames within its space, at the cost of an exponentially higher energy usage from seph's body. enough light can overpower the voidsmoke and shatter a veil prematurely.

congealing the smoke's molecules can very briefly solidify parts of it. this is how they can make an emergency bullet on the fly, hold someone down, or shield a fatal blow so that part of the damage is absorbed before it hits her. the longer she keeps up the solidification (ie after like 1-3 seconds), the more brittle the shadow becomes. this is the main offensive feature of the quirk, and by far the most taxing.

one of the later-learned upgrade features to their quirk is that, by manipulating the molecular structure of the voidsmoke in a very, very precise way, it can be used to filter out unwanted molecules from the air. this has only happened to her once unconsciously: it's how they survive a house fire a year or two after they get pulled out of UA, unable to move from the floor and bleeding out. the smoke acted on orders from their subconscious: survive, survive, survive. filtered the air, absorbed and redirected the heat before it could roast their body. doing this consciously is thus far impossible.
