i'm in the middle of painting my bedroom, which is going Eh bc i want a very specific colour, but the lightbulb colour + basement darkness has made this an annoying trial and error in paint matching. however, i discovered only now in my life that plain ol' black + regular old yellow makes green.

i didn't know that??? i feel like... i shoudl've known that. was i not taught this when i was 8 or something?? it's making me feel 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ that i didn't know? it makes such a good green too

i hate this bc i feel like it was something that—now that i'm looking at it swatched out—i'm like "duh yeah, that's obvious, you knew that." but i just spent 4 days in a paint-fume-fuelled mania mixing greens, yellows, blues, reds, coppers, whites, blacks, etc to find a Perfect Green, and she was there in 2 colours all along...

#jj stuff #my issue is it's Dark as all fuck down here but i have those warm yellow edison bulbs and i'm not willing to compromise on them #so i've had to lighten the absolute fuck out of the deep green i wanted #and it looks 😬 to me in normal/white light #but under the yellow lights it makes it *chefs kiss* to me #this unfortunately has stalled me on a ceiling colour bc i had Plans #to do a rich green wall + a rich/dark blue and add metallic gold constellations to it #so it'd be like being cocooned in a leaf staring up at the stars #but now i'm worried a blue ceiling will change the wall colour Too Much #like how i painted my other room BRIGHT as fuck yellow walls + bright blue ceiling #and at the right time of day the whole thing turns a toxic green #(which i loooove)#ok i'm talking so much sorry if you read this far *gives you two dollars*

#dreamtale #Nightmare Sans #tbh this one is cause of an animation I tried to do w/ “amanhã vai ser outro dia”#i did get over 13 hours of work and aniamted the skeleton of roughly a minite #but then i started cringing #and im so proud of what i did #but literally all the starting scenes are shit #the last scene“” i animated was Nightmare kissing the apple #and i just really liked it #then Nightmare(uncorrupted) dangled from the ceiling like a corpse (which he is)(and it's also a joke)#tw death #im not sure whether this belongs here???#its not suicide btw #also #my accrilic paint smells like mold #and there's a white decantation #i think i should be worried #AND I HAVE NO PURPLE #nightmares tunic is dessaturated because i mixed blue(light( and red. but things are as they are #unfortunately #its really hard to work w his purple #and im a little dum dumb who does not have rhe ink cup #i wipe the brush on the plastic bag i keep them in #“them” but i use only one brush #cause im a stupid dum dum who does one thing once and then does it forever #i still do everything in one layer in digital #the tags are literally just me struggling

'Have more houseplants!'

'Paint things green!'

'Copy this Mediterranean patio room!'

Cool, got anything that won't die if I forget to water 500 plants?

Or something that feels like the woods around here rather than a tropical resort?

I come from a place where you actively have to fight off the nature to keep it from eating your yard, I just want my livingroom to feel like that with minimal upkeep.

#that said i do love my Pacific Rim National Park themed color scheme #next up is light blue ceilings #and some pretty foliage transfers to put around the shades on my new light fixtures #maybe I'll get more spider plants this year #really wish i could paint literally any pictures right now #interior decorating

I went to Rainforest Cafe for the first time today

I would like very much to live there

#rainforest cafe #aaaah it was so cool!#the animatronics were so detailed #and they moved so well for their age!#and the decor was beautiful #the ceiling was completely covered in fake vines and leaves #and little dim lights shone through them like fireflies #and in the center of the ceiling right above our table #was a fake window to the stars #painted a beautiful dark blue colour and covered in tiny twinkling stars #and every so often #there would be a “thunderstorm” and all the animatronics would go off #and it would play thunder noises and the lights would get brighter and dimmer #it was so cozy! i could have stayed there forever #I would have got a job there if it was closer to my house and paid better #honestly though it does pay better than the haunted house did #at the end of the season I was paid $140 total #which is a total ripoff if you ask me #and I got paid less than a bunch of people for no clear reason #I also didn't get paid regularly #we were paid once at the end of the season #so that was it #but oh well #that's a rant for another time #anyway I had a lot of fun today and I really like the rainforest cafe now so yeah

Things are rough, made rougher by the fact we're supposed to be So Excited right now - which we are, but it varies.

It's in the high 70s today and I ate so many gnats on this run, but I got out on the pavement and at least it looked pretty.

I'm in the "everything is pulled out of drawers and cabinets" stage of packing so of course they're showing our unit tomorrow, so the rest of the evening will be spent trying to make it look just cluttered as opposed to a disaster zone.

5 days to closing, 10 days to Move In. ✌️

#i really want to paint our new living room a bold terracotta color (wild flower by Benjamin moore fwiw)#greg thinks the room is too big for that bold of a color #but itll have a white ceiling and almost white carpet and enough stuff on the walls that i think itd be nice #especially with my blue couch #A Statement Room™️ but a nice one

i suddenly realised that i have nothing in my house that's my alleged favourite colour (a kinda pastel-y lilac-y cornflower blue) and THANK GOODNESS the company i bought my other paint from doesn't seem to have that shade because it would take every ounce of my self restraint to stop myself from ordering it right now

#you know when you come out of a few days feeling deathly sad and you suddenly have all the (emotional. not physical i'm so tired) energy in #the world and you want to do everything including paint your house a new colour.#me rn :P #.... i'll be honest they do free testers and there are 2 shades that are potentially Right and i do have a tiny weird room in my house #that's like. where 3 rooms meet so there's only really 1 wall and then the space above the 3 doors so #it really would not take much painting...........#If it was magically free and in my house i would paint it tomorrow :P #if i was doing this i could also get a pastel pink tester and then it would be pink ceiling blue walls white trim (:
