not saying the holocaust wasn't bad. but i need people to understand that it wasn't the only genocide that happened in the same period of world history. not because i want you to pay less attention to holocaust but because i need you to ask why it's the only one we ever talk about. it wasn't the longest occured massacre of a marginalized group, it wasn't the most gruesome, it wasn't the one with the most casualties, it wasn't the first and it wasn't the last one. i need people to think about why we didn't pay much attention to all the other holocausts after WWII that happened simultaniously and were just as horrible. it says so much about media, the news we are fed, and that our empathy is BOUGHT by the same people that keep funding genocides all over the world.

i really do think a lot of the problems with people campaigning for biden as he’s actively funding a genocide is that american liberals are genuinely unable to imagine a world where the united states doesn’t have its boot on the throat of the global south. i think, when you’ve grown up with the iraq invasion, when you’re seeing the genocide in not just palestine but also sudan and the congo, then you’d have a hard time picturing a world where this sort of brutal oppression isn’t simply accepted as normal. and if you can’t imagine liberation— if you view the american subjugation of the global south as simply part of the status quo and unable to be changed— then of course you don’t have a moral problem with voting for biden, because you don’t truly believe that palestine could ever be free. you don’t believe a better world is possible so you settle for the limited freedoms you have.

We realistically only have two choices in THIS election, Kamala or Trump, choose your poison. So many people have been telling third-party voters or non-voters that this is not the end of our fight once we vote and hopefully elect Kamala. It's just the beginning. She is the safest bet we have to continue to help others while continuing to help ourselves and progress our nation by using strategy and community. Right now we have neither of those things so for the next four years if Kamala is elected we need to be working on those things to make change.
