OH IT'S GORGEOUS?

What could it all mean?

Except, you know, Death! Endings! Rebirth! Et cetera!

I am not an expert in the symbol but it’s Yuuko Ichihara so what could be more fitting than that?

I also just love the gentle posing of it all. Watanuki draped sideways and vulnerable, his neck exposed and his head turned the other way - but sheltered by Yuuko, held in place by the gentlest touch of her fingers on his forehead. It’s beautiful and speaks of the protection and careful shelter she’s provided for him all this time, especially now that we know just how vulnerable he was to Evil Wolverine without us ever knowing. But this is Yuuko after all, so of course she could pull that off with effortless grace and a sly look directly at the camera at the same time.

Also the COLOURS?

The contrasting yellow-orange and purple-blue of each of their kimonos? Matching the same colours as Watanuki's eyes?? But near their hands their different coloured lillies flow into each other as if they were one and the same? Or two halves of the same thing? Or the end of one being the start of the other?

Paint my entire wall with this I want to stare at it forever.

How would you write Jane's missing "the streets are empty" section?

so as i was first watching the OP this particular sequence caught my eyes immediately:

that is a very distinct framing, with kazuki's back perfectly in the middle with the camera steadily getting closer, and then his ex-wife (?) "blooms" out. but, if it were to symbolize love/grief, i think the camera would've approached from the front, and the blooming would've happened in his heart/chest.

from the above sequence only, my mind immediately went "he's gonna get shot in the back" - then, as i was doing the screenshotting for this post, I noticed the part right before it:

a bullet going through a cake/muffin, which is absolutely kazuki's thing, and then this followed by what i'd call the "bullet pov", used in other movies/shows too leads me to the prediction that he is absolutely gonna get shot and i think somehow it's gonna be connected to his ex-wife.

it is the 4th of november and there is a hole in my chest. it is unseen, but i can feel it, and sometimes it seems as though others can, too. i do not know what this patch of void means, but i know it aches with an ache beyond any other feeling i’ve had. it extends past me and into the space around me— this space that i know all too well i am too small to occupy. hermit crabs on the beach spend days looking for the perfect home, slipping into it with ease. my home is too big, i sit at the bottom of it, looking for the pinprick of light coming from the opening. simultaneously i am squished in here, uncomfortable, waiting for the space to stretch. suddenly i have waited long enough, and the rot quietly growing in the cavity in my chest finally blooms, claiming my bones for a home of its own. though i do not fit in my own space, the rot fits within me perfectly. and i welcome that filling of space, maybe if i let this thing overtake me completely, i can finally be whole. it does not matter anymore if it is me that fills the space between my ribs, just that it is filled at last.

Upload Schedule

I've been having a burst of creativity and output lately, which has been awesome! But I start work again tomorrow and I know that'll mean a pretty big drop in output.

I really, really love teaching, but it sucks that being a teacher with a chronic illness means I don't have energy for much of anything else during the school year. Ah well.

Anyway, here's my hopeful upload schedule for the foreseeable future:

Bloom Within Us: every other week

like the flowers and the bees and oneshots for lovers alone wear sunlight (and any non-Furuba oneshots that happen to take over my brain *cough cough ItaFushi cough*): posting as completed (no set schedule)

ichigo ichie and Of Lost Cats and Half-Shadows: alternating monthly (for example, a chapter of ichigo ichie in September would mean a chapter of Of Lost Cats... in October)

The One Who Stays and whatever canon divergence I begin for Fruits Basket Mondays AU week: alternating monthly (similar to the two crossovers)

Right now, this *feels* doable, especially since I have a few chapters already written for Bloom Within Us, but I may need to pull back a bit depending on how it goes (plus I might be starting my masters this year?? so there's that). If that's the case, Bloom Within Us is the priority until it's finished.

I am genuinely excited for all of these fics (lovers alone wear sunlight isn't really a fic, but ykwim) and I have a clear vision for all of them, so it's just a matter of getting the words on the page (always the hard part!).

On another note, I've started translating my own oneshots into French because I apparently didn't have enough projects going on??? And I've been learning how to do digital art and have an Akito-centric project in mind for that??? So those are two more things you'll hopefully see soon! 😅

i both love and hate that i keep finding different moths in my house. why are they here? i dont want them to get caught on the sticky traps i put out for the flies. but also, very fun to see so many different varieties and knowing my garden probably plays a role somehow.
