Favourite Punk Hazard sanji moments
(1) Sanji staying firm on his PROTECC WOMEN business by saying he'd just die instead of attacking a woman in a battle
(2) Kindness : Sanji taking kinemon with him when he said that he had come to rescue his son. Sanji's face says it all when he hears kinemon's reason, softhearted beau.
Later, he saves the people of G5 at the risk of his own life. He fights and holds back vergo while the gate closes down. People say he only cared for tashigi, but he held vergo back from following the entire G5 unit even when tashigi was already safely escorted, knowing full well if he couldn't find his way back, he'd be dead in the gas. No wonder the G5 navy falls in love with him just like me and mutuals fr
(3) Thoughtful : This is silly but when sanji was in nami's body, he was conscious of not hurting her body or getting bruises. And even excusing himself everytime he reached for a cigarette lol he's so elegant and well-mannered.
(4) Responsible : sanji rescued kinemon from the prison and kept watching out for his safety, going as far as diving into a shark-infested frozen poison river to retrieve kinemon's torso (and fighting a shark underwater in the process)
(5) I've already said it but I love how dedicated and knowledgeable sanji is about cooking and how the digestive system works. Momonosuke had been starving for 10 days so he gave him soup first
(6) sweet perfect sanji being severely injured when he gets his body back but being thankful that his body got hurt instead of nami's
(7) This is one for the history books, Sanji showing up to kick vergo's ass for hurting tashigi
(8) Intelligent : This is a small moment but still I love how Sanji always catches on what's going on with the enemy. His quick thinking helped again when caeser's smiley was attacking their little group (zoro, kinemon, sanji in nami's body)

"distant relative" i assume you are referring to my father?
#happy father's day everyone!#mine was fucking terrible he received a C- rating at best#and that is me being fucking GENEROUS with the grading rubric yeah#anyway i love and respect anyone who feels the need to quietly publicly shame their negligent father figure on anonymous social media#there should be a RateMyProfessor website but it's RateMyParents#it would serve no possible practical purpose but it would be as potentially psychologically scalding as a ghost pepper and/or supernova so.#do it#.......that could actually be so interesting#comparing and contrasting the reviews of siblings and half-siblings and step-siblings#the differences in parental perception between the Black Sheep/Scapegoat and the Golden Child and the Middle Child and So On#(on that note why are the two main idioms for being blacklisted in your own family both *livestock* related who laid that groundwork)#ANYway. back to RateMyFather#this one dad gets nine 5-star reviews and one absolutely SCATHING no-stars review#which mathematically leaves him with a 4.5 rating BUT#the main thing you are left wondering is how did one dad end up with TEN reviews that is in itself an Indictment

on the point of including black people in the show (or any period show), a lot of the outrage can sometimes come across as performative to me. it's one thing to feel upset about how little screentime black characters get compared to white characters (a valid criticism, believe me, I Know! give me an hour and i could talk your ear off about how this constantly annoys me as a black person who's damned to enjoy period pieces), but it's another to Only get upset while not actually creating content for said black characters, Especially when fandom (not just hbo war, but in general) is famous for taking Extremely minor characters and creating entire worlds with them, to the point where you wouldn't know they're minor characters at all until you check out the source yourself. richard macon, alexander jefferson, and robert daniels each have only 20 or less posts about them (at the time of publishing this post). in my own fandom experience (within fandoms both big and small and old and new, whatever), i've seen more content (posts, art pieces, analyses, fics, etc) made for minor white characters in less than a mere week's time (it's not a competiton lol i'm just giving a perspective here). so idk. obviously, there's nothing anyone here can do about a show that's already been filmed and released. we got what we got. thas it. at least in the great wide world of fandom, you can actually do something about it, turning the big into small. there's precedent for that. otherwise it just feels like complaining for the sake of complaining
#alexander jefferson only Just reached 20 posts according to tumblr's tagged search. macon's at 17. daniels is at 9#i'm jaded in a way bc when you're black you learn to expect this when it comes to black characters. like as a rule.#but it's for that reason that a lot of these complaints feel kinda sorta performative#at the end of the day it's a show largely about white guys created largely by white guys#if you want to see blacker shows and movies- many Do exist. hbo war isnt the end all/be all of ww2 media#six triple eight will be coming soon. there's the 90s tuskegee airmen movie. watch overlord if you want a fun (and very fictional) time#and there's dee rees' own 'mudbound'. these aren't 'hbo war' but they're worth watching#i actually feel it's more worth being upset about the lack of representation of nonblack people of color during ww2#i still want a show about the 442nd! i'd like to see more about native american soldiers!#we just barely saw some sikhs in this episode. they're often sprinkled into the background but they ought to be front and center too#and with that!!! i'm going to bed gnight#masters of the air#hbo war#alexander jefferson#robert daniels#richard macon

I would honestly call the left's inability to accomodate people with morality-based OCD compulsions an accessibility issue at this point.
#coming under this: black and white morality thinking!#constant guilting about posting on social media showing your true values and personality!#shitting on people for their alarm about protest suicide! (with bonus 'how dare you insinuite mental illness was a factor!')#glorification of making yourself suffer mentally by viewing uncensored war imagery in 'solidarity' for those suffering in war!#unquestioning acceptance of all of the above as good and right!#promoting the idea that the individual self is expendable and that focusing on yourself (even to survive) is a reflection of your character#seriously this website cares so much about mental health until suddenly it doesn't- fuck the left so much for this i'm so triggered by this#not to be graphic but if i ever take my own life and claim it is for activism- this is not out of the realm of possibility#i DO NOT want anyone to justify my decision with it being activism and indirectly encourage others to do the same#i want people to instead look at the kind of rhetoric that causes people to choose this as a way out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sanji's lockscreen is a picture of Nami and Usopp he took while they were kissing and weren't paying attention to the camera, while his wallpaper is a picture of the three of them probably in one of those long mirrors clothing stores have that they took when they were out shopping.

#one piece#sanji#black leg sanji#everysanji#thriller bark#ch489#obligatory hitting him with hammers#but also i was thinking about how i originally got into one piece for some reason#which was in 2015 mind you almost 10 years ago#so when i was a freshman in high school we took a field trip before christmas#it involved going ice skating and then the mall and i think we went somewhere else that isnt entirely important#but anyway i was talking with someone while we were at the mall and looking at manga and i said i was interested in trying manga#so my. well idk friend might be too strong. classmate lets say suggested one piece#and so i got the first two volumes (which i still own they're on my bookshelf i take whenever i move)#and he told me that they went through each of the four blue seas before going on the grand line for some reason????#i think what he meant was that every volume has what arc it is on the top but he somehow#confused that with they go through north/south/west blue too#well anyway i havent talked to that guy since like 2017. wonder where he's at#if he's following this blog and recognizes this story i'm deleting social media forever

CNN’s #AndersonCooper pushed back on radio host #CharlamagneThaGod Thursday after he claimed the network doesn’t call out former President Donald Trump’s “rhetoric” enough.
“I think no network has honest conversations about Donald Trump,” Charlamagne responded. “Nobody‘s had an honest conversation about Donald Trump since 2016. I saw last night, they were talking about the double standard that exists between Donald Trump and the vice president, but it‘s always a double standard with Trump, whether it‘s Hillary, whether it‘s, you know, against Biden. Now, with Kamala you talk about him being a threat to democracy, but we don‘t treat him like one.”

This marks the first week of Black Music Month.
Declared in 1979 by President Jimmy Carter, the month-long observance celebrates the work of Black artists and music industry giants throughout the years.
In honor of the month, here are five Black-owned music and media applications and programs to check out for the start of Black Music Month.
Deepr: Launched recently by software designer Austin Webster and a music industry entertainment attorney with experience working for Motown, Darrell Thompson, Deepr is described as a mix of “Shazam and ImDB.” Led alongside a board made up of award-winning musicians and producers such as Drumma Boy, Teddy Riley and Dallas Austin, the app helps users discover new tracks through instant searches. Once the song is recognized, Deepr provides insight into the creators of the track, providing information on both the musicians and the writers. The app recently launched a new widget that allows users to do a deep dive into songs played in shows right as they’re watching the episode. Deepr is available on both the Google Play store and the Apple Store for download.
Splits App: Designed by Jammber CoFounder and CEO Marcus Cobb, the Splits App helps those who are songwriters with tracking information on their work. Using the app, musicians can track the ownership percentage of each contributing writer on the song. As one of the only rights management services app in stores, the Jammber Splits app also helps users officially register their songs and collect any royalties made from the sales of the track. The app is available on the Apple App Store for download.
Fanbase: Created by the son of the late legendary singer Isaac Hayes, Isaac Hayes III, the Fanbase app is for musicians, influencers, artists and any other person who wants to expand their reach. Created in 2018, the app is a subscription social media platform that works to motivate Black content creators and have their work be rewarded with monetary value to bridge the equity gap on other social media sites. With the Fanbase app, every content creator’s work is guaranteed protection. Celebrities that have already endorsed the app by signing up include Snoop Dogg and Charlamagne Tha God, amongst others. The Fanbase app is available for download on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
The LABZ: Created by founder and CEO Farah Allen, The LABZ is an app that serves multiple purposes with partnerships with companies such as Comcast, Netflix and Amazon. It is a technology platform that allows users to create in an immersive online space. Previously, the app has been used extensively by musicians to collaborate on tracks in real-time.
Breakr: Founded by four Florida A&M University alumni, Ameer Brown, Anthony Brown, Rotimi Omosheyin and Dan Ware, the Breakr music app helps with “direct-to-creator relationships.” The music marketing platform helps artists share their work by connecting with influencers as part of a collaboration. With these campaigns, the app ensures that content creators are getting paid for their work.
