mini test print for the doll of my OC astraea! i had to test out and fix up her leg joints a bit to make sure they were stable, but soon i hope to print her fullsize (~63 cm) version ^_^

I’m working on this head! I am so happy with this print. There are more things to do but I feel like I finally made some breakthroughs on my goals!

The eyelid and neck shape were my main goal for updating this round. Below you can see the eyelids compared to an older print (left).

And rainbows and glitter. Spice and everything nice.

My line of crafted ball-jointed dolls, called "Nebulon" are in development!

This video features the Msafiri face sculpt on a standard body with a standard bust. She wears a custom hard cap mini afro wig made from human hair. She is 16 inches.

Nebulon is a fictional planet among the stars. And my dolls are precious little aliens. It's been a long road getting to this prototype and yet there is so much more to do.

starting of my bjd doll sculpting process

heads ladoll body isoven bake polymer clay.. all a long difficult process but im loving it 😍 sculpting is my favourite thing..

ill also want to cast this in resin on my own i have all the gear so ill give the daunting task a try if all works out then ill be doing some more castings but i really want to sculpt more heads and full bodys more realistic and not so artistic in style.. its definitely time consuming but not hard if you love it.. unsure about the casting tho...

another one im leen to try when i get one is 3d printing my own dolls...

I had a lot of pain with the painting process so I kinda dropped the ball and never posted about my new boy.

Despite all, I'm much more happy with the face up then with what I did for Ivar and I tried making my own eyes this time cause I couldn't find a set exactly like what I wanted.

BJD Making : Moonie ? Part One

So this all started with my favorite Pajamas

you see I love my pajamas sets so I decided once my PJ sets get to old, or to ripped up or just to uncomfortable to wear them I would turn them into Doll clothes for Specially Designed dolls

well one of my pajamas finally got too uncomfortable to wear (in all honesty that one was never too comfortable to begin with) Which means it’s time to start making the doll :D

First Up the Concept Art

in all honesty i am vary unsatisfied with how this turned out

it looks enough like her to get the general idea across, I guess

the face is the best part of the concept art in my opinion, it's the part that looks the most like it did in my head

to put what I wanted her to look like in words

I wanted a Lolita look with an Easter theme, a round face with big lips and an upturned nose, a slightly chubby body, and long pig tails

well anyways after drawing the concept art I made the vary wise choice to neglect my other projects and start a new one

First up

the Head

first, I got one of my stock bodies to help me decide what size the head should be

then I made a from out of tin foil a little bit smaller then the head I want to make and then stick it on the body with a chop stick to hold it in place

here is her head in the middle of sculpting

this is when I realized the head wasn't going to turn out how I originally wanted it too But

it doesn't matter Because I think how the head turned out was even Better than my original design

this is when I gave her the nick name Moonie

I just feel like her face looks like a little moon

I don't know if that's going to be her real name though

and that's all I got done for now

next up will be sanding the head and starting on the upper torso

Clover being cute ft both the Clover and Henbit faceplates! (Left is clover, right is Henbit) Both are named after plants. There’s a third faceplate named Thistle, though I’m not as happy with it as of right now.

Here’s a comparison of the two faces. I’m not happy with clovers faceup. It makes her face look rlly small. Though these are just quick 5 min faceups just to get a rough idea. I’m really happy w the way these two sculpts look and I’m hoping to get Clover printed in resin in the near future!

my next upcoming doll printing project, my serval OC astraea! she should be about 63 cm…? (excluding ears) i’ve worked more on finishing her joints since these screenshots, so besides the head parts, i think she’s ready for slicing and small size test printing next! or at least, once her resin gets here :3

(though i note, i’m not having the hair and tail printed - those will be the usual custom fiber wig, and a carefully trimmed and airbrushed faux fur tail~)
