The smell of coffee is one you're all too familiar with.

Alastor is a coffee addict lover, and drinks it every morning. Sometimes he'll have a cup or two after dinner.

You don't have any problems with it, having been surrounded by others in your living life with the same love for coffee.

So you'll buy coffee beans often just for him to enjoy. With the extra, you'll use it in your baking, making sure not to make his treats beyond his sweetness intake.

Tiramisu, crispy coffee cookies, mocha truffle cheesecake, and coffee 'n cream brownies. Alastor helps you with taste testing and thoroughly enjoys your coffee treats. Often kissing you between bites.

"The baker must taste test too~"

You don't mind having the taste off coffee on your lips. It may be a bit bitter but its something you've grown accustomed to with him.

One night you were craving for some coffee.

Alastor was sitting near the lit fireplace with a book in hand, coffee and coffee crisp cookies on the small table nearby.

You had just finished making more of his cookies to take to the hotel so he could enjoy during work when you felt in the mood for some caffeine. Looking over at the man in red, you saw he took a sip of his drink.

"Love.", you called out, walking over to stand before him. "Can I get some coffee?"

Looking up from his book, he gave a happy smile and set the hardcover down on the little table. "Why of course my darling! I'll get you a cup, have a seat-", he went to stand, pushing himself up with the armrests.

"No.", you placed a hand on his chest.

The deer demon was confused but let you push him back into his seat.

"I don't want a cup.", you said as you went to straddle his lap. "I want my coffee.", you cupped his chin and lifted his head up to meet your gaze.

Now Alastor was a man hard to fluster, but somehow you manage to make his cheeks redden.

"And where is your coffee?", he asked after taking a noticeable gulp.

You smiled and leaned in closer.

"Why, it's you hun.", you slid the hand on his chest up until you held his face with both of your hands. "Can I get some coffee?"

Moving his hands off the armrests, he held you close and nodded.

"Yes."

Starting off with a gentle kiss, you lean more onto him until you're chest to chest as you wrap your arms around his neck, getting a taste of the coffee not long after a few more kisses.

"Je serai ton café.", he said breathlessly against your lips. (I'll gladly be your coffee.)

Maybe you were a coffee addict now.

JJK AND THEIR COFFEE ORDERS

nobara is definitely a frappuccino girly. love, love, loves sugar cookie flavouring, too, in a large cup with a straw because “it feels like i’m a girlboss that way.” she said it, not me.

yuuji is pretty picky with his coffee? isn’t a huge fan of it, but when he does have it, it’s a double-double accompanied by a pastry. he doesn’t adventure too far from his usual order, other than trying out a new or seasonal drink.

megumi drinks it black. straight from the beans. foul creature.

geto gives hazelnut syrup vibes… don’t worry, i will elaborate. he likes an espresso shot with latte foam art and steamed oat milk, all mixed together with two pumps of hazelnut syrup. otherwise, he’s mostly a tea person.

gojo doesn’t even want to taste the coffee’s bitter flavour… he wants it completely masked by sugar and by sugar alone. four-milk-six-sugar-in-a-medium sort of man. drinking straight candy, is what it is.

nanami was a religious coffee drinker back when he worked that 9-5, so he was not particularly partial to any coffee order if the caffeine was doing its job. as long as it didn’t taste like burnt shit water, he doesn’t care all too much. enjoys a nice café trip where he can sit and relax every now and then.

maki is a cold brew enthusiast, but also drinks it black (as in, no milk), though takes a few vanilla shots with it and another sweetener. likes the essence of the coffee taste, but mostly prefers sweetness over the bitterness.

inumaki is an avid iced coffee fan to the point where sub-arctic conditions do not daunt him. he usually rotates his order from an iced psl or mocha with maki or yuuta to order for him (for obvious reasons). he’ll down whatever size they give him. insanity.

yuuta reacts so poorly to caffeine, it’s hilarious in hindsight but i can’t help but pity him… poor boy is already anxious enough as it is, he can’t tell the difference between the coffee jitters and his usual shakiness. plus, he gets the shits. doesn’t like it, but will have one the rare occasion.

panda doesn’t drink coffee. he’s a panda.

mahito would spit it out immediately along with a vile string of profanities if he ever got the chance to even try coffee.

kenjaku (using geto) hated the idea that he was getting used to drinking something so gently-flavored and sweet. had it anyways, but would always order tea if given the choice.

Name: Mocha Truffle(She/Her) Alias: Mocha, Salty Family: Espresso and Madeleine Cookie(parents), Chocolate Mousse(brother) Likes: coral, the sea, his great aunties, shark teeth, Dislikes: the church, high society, House Oyster, House Custard

Mocha Truffle is the oldest of Espresso and Madeleine's children, though only by a year. She's currently a Sailor under House Caviar.

At best, she's kind, confident, and adventurous. At worst, she's oblivious, short-sighted, and overzealous.

When she and her brother were pre-teens, Madeleine sacrificed himself to save his comrades during a mission. As she grew, she developed a love for exploration and sea. The loss of her father created a bitter resentment towards the church and the Divines themselves.

Her and her brother don't get along due to their differences in opinion. While Mocha believes the Divines led their father to his death, her brother believes that isn't the case and that their father died a noble death.

Additional Information: Espresso Cookie: When Madeleine passed away, Espresso shut down, unsure of what to do. He spent a lot of time in his lab, trying to occupy his mind so he wouldn't have to feel the grief. Without Madeleine's help however, he quickly lost their home as his job simply didn't pay enough to support all three of them. Luckily, Madeleine's was more than happy to led their aid, allowing the three of them to live within House Madeleine. Espresso struggled to be an active parent, until Madeleine's mother spoke with him. She was gentle with him, as she'd gone through the same thing. She knew what it was like to lose a loved one and be left with a responsibility you weren't ready to deal with alone. She eventually snapped him out of his state and he became an active role in his children's lives again. He decided to stay in House Madeleine as he continued to raise them. It was better than leaving home alone. As his children grew, he supported their decisions regardless of what actions they took. He's just proud of them. Despite Mocha and Mousse's difference in opinions, Whenever they come home to spend time with family, its sunshine and rainbows between them. They made the mistake of arguing in front of their father only once. They were met with a heavy scolding. He hates seeing them fight.

Tim: obviously strong as FUCK. That shit will keep you up for DAYS. DAYS. Has been dubbed the king of espressos by local cafes at this point. First time barista’s quake in fear when they get his order I feel.

Cass: she gives vibes that she’d like her coffee bitter as fuck but imagine how funny it is one day someone else takes a sip and it’s the sweetest shit you ever drank. Enough to give you cavities with one sip.

Steph: she gives me the vibes of someone who would drink a latte, honestly. Maybe with caramel or vanilla syrup, too. She channels the bitterness of that drink into whatever the fuck chaos she wants to cause that day.

You graduated. and all you could do was think about your grief.

warnings: A lot of talk about grief, death mention, talk of family, graduations, reader is a smart cookie, grief over a lost sibling, Leon and reader both need a hug, angst

Leon left in mid February. He had gone to basic training, and from there…you had no idea.

You cried as you hugged him tightly. You liked living with Leon. It was nice. Especially on the nights where your grief overwhelmed you, or his nightmares woke him up. You two would lean on each other. He became a part of your family. Someone you cared for. Someone you could rely on.

Your mother practically adopted him. When she found out he had no parents on thanksgiving, you could see the maternal instinct go into overdrive. Your father as well. By Christmas he was calling the former rookie cop ‘sport.’

A part of you worried they saw him as a replacement for your older brother. They saw Leon as the son who did survive, where the other did not. 

Sometimes you wondered if he felt it too. That if your brother lived he wouldn’t have been as welcomed as he was. 

You would have taken in him all the same, you think.

After you dropped him off to the airport, you actually cried in your apartment. It felt lonely without him. Mocha also clearly was upset. She meowed for a solid week, pacing in and out of Leons room. 

It took 2 weeks for you to get back into your routine. Classes, teaching assistantship, and research. Despite your schedule, you always wrote to Leon every monday. Sometimes you’d send him pictures of Mocha.You always received a response by thursday. No pictures though.

He asked about your midterm grades and poked fun at you for having a B. 

You sent him a picture of Mocha looking angry as she laid on his pillow.

He asked about med school admissions. You told him you were accepted to medical school. He responded by saying you weren’t going to have a life. He asked about graduation and you sent the dates. 

The communication was basic. Standard. The two of you couldn’t have deep heart-to-hearts on paper. It was…bitter sweet. Each letter reminded you that you really did miss him. But you enjoyed keeping up communication.

You invited him to your graduation, telling him if he couldn’t make it, you wouldn’t be upset. 

What you didn’t expect was for him to actually show up.

You were adjusting your cap in the mirror while your immediate family were in your living room. You could hear them chatting and talking. You all were going for breakfast since the ceremony was at noon and after that, a small family party at your apartment complex clubhouse. You heard a knock on your door and Mocha shot her head up from your bed.

“I’ll get it.” your mom announced before you heard the door open and a gasp.

You dropped your gown and rushed out of your door, “Is everything-!”

Leon was in the doorway. His eyes were wide while your mom held his cheeks. He was clearly surprised when she cried, “Oh Leon, baby!” 

“I uh…hi.” He was flustered when she began to kiss his face all over. Your friend and roommate laughed ever so slightly, embarrassed as he was pulled inside. Clearly maternal love was still foreign to him, “I hope I'm not intruding…”

“Leon!��� You and Sherry both rushed to him and wrapped your arms around him.

Holy shit! His chest felt like a brick wall! 

You pulled back, taking him in. He looked…tired. His blonde hair was longer and more choppy. His muscles were hard and much larger than when he left. Did he get taller?

His transformation reminded you of your brother. When he returned from basic training he too had become more muscular…

No. today is supposed to be happy. You can’t think about those you lost.

You grinned, swallowing your grief, “You could have called, you know.” 

“I wanted to surprise you.” He responded, pulling back and ruffling Sherry’s hair.

“Look at you, come here, sport.” Your dad pulled him into a bone crushing hug, “Lookin’ like a soldier.” Your younger brother and older sister joined in on the hugs.

“I hope I’m not interrupting…” He murmured, getting his blonde hair messed up by your father. 

“Not at all, we’re just about to head to breakfast.” You smiled, going back into your room to finish getting ready. The smile on your face didn’t go away. Your friend and roommate was back. You didn’t know for how long, but you knew he was here now.

Sherry was ecstatic. You could hear her tell Leon things about her school, her new friends and her life. 

You finished getting ready. The moment you fixed your cap and settled your gown, your mom took so many pictures she needed two disposable cameras.

However, when the flash went off, you saw Leon tense. He let out a breath before speaking, “Where’s Mocha?” His voice was strained, something both your parents didn’t miss. However, no one said anything.

“My room. She’ll be happy to see you.” You answered with a smile, putting an arm around your older sister for another picture.

He shuffled off quickly, aiming to your bedroom to cuddle your cat. You missed your dad following him.

While pictures were being taken, Leon walked out of your room, holding a very upset Mocha. 

“My baby!” You giggled, opening your arms for the calico. The cat didn’t enjoy being woken up and manhandled, but she behaved for about five pictures before her kitty timer ran out. She wiggled from your arms and immediately went to Leon. 

“She likes me more.” He teased, picking your feline up. 

“Traitor.” You laughed, scratching under her chin. Your eyes met Leon’s and you found yourself staring. 

He had such beautiful eyes. Clear blue. Like arctic ice.

You couldn’t hear your family around you. Instead, your focus was on him. His eyes. His blonde hair. His handsome face.

His very kissable lips.

Your thoughts came to a halt, “Take her. She's breaking my heart.” You covered your fluster, “Oh she’s betrayed me.” Your tone was lighthearted, pretending to be dramatic. 

Leon cleared his throat and laughed slightly, “I’ll put her back.” He stepped away from you so your little brother could grab your arm for some more pictures for your mom. You didn’t see the slight blush that dusted his cheeks. 

Your mom burned through another disposable camera during breakfast. She seemed particularly interested in you and Leon sitting next to each other. 

It was nice, having a majority of your family together. Yet…

What would your brother think? What would he say?

No. You had to be strong. Keep your head high. Stay calm and collected. 

Your smile remained when breakfast was done. And all through the ceremony. You continued to keep your spirits as high as you could. During the speeches, there was mention of Raccoon City. Talks of how avoidable the tragedy was. Of how despite the pain of loss, there’s hope. How the next generation could stop such a thing from happening again. Build a better future.

You wanted to laugh bitterly.

Your aunt and uncle destroyed lives. They created something evil and paid the price. It was just unfortunate they killed so many before they died. No justice could be had here. No hope.

Their hubris nearly killed their daughter and left Leon traumatized. Their selfishness stole your brother and broke your family.

You snapped your attention back when you heard your name. You stood as your family cheered and clapped. Your steps were steady and calm as you swallowed your despair. With a handshake, a diploma and a picture, you’ve graduated. 

Bachelor of science with two majors, Immunology and Microbiology. 

Your plan now was to attend medical school. Sell your life, soul and mental health for a M.D/Ph.D program. You’d be a damn hermit for years, working towards the ability to research and cure disease. Or become a doctor and treat patients' immune conditions. Hopefully both.

At the end of the day, you wanted to help people.

The rest of the ceremony went with a blur. More names. More speeches. But by the end of it, you managed to claw your mind out of the deep pit of grief you dug yourself in. You couldn’t fall apart. Not here. 

You had mostly snapped out of it when you reunited with your family. More pictures were taken. More disposable cameras were used up. You returned to your apartment where some of your extended family had decorated. It was a small party for you. To celebrate your achievement. 

It was…good. Fun. Nice. 

I want my brother. You thought as you introduced Leon to a couple of cousins that weren’t there for the holidays. 

Curse your emotions. Curse your tumultuous mind. You wanted to be happy! It was your graduation! 

And all you could think about was your grief. Your pain you kept behind a mask. You needed air. You needed to be alone. You needed to cry.

Not here. Calm down. Relax. Get yourself together.

Your mask was firm. At least until everyone left. You’d stay strong as steel.

Hours later, once a majority of everyone left and the clubhouse was cleaned., your mom kissed your cheeks. Your dad crushed your back with hugs. Your older sister and younger brother wrapped their arms around you tightly. The goodbyes were sweet, but you knew you’d see them again soon during the summer months. 

You returned to your apartment with Leon. Wordlessly, you stripped yourself of your cap and gown. He picked up on your emotions skillfully, “You ok?” 

Immediately you cried. Your palms were at your face as you finally broke down. It was like that single question opened the floodgates.

“Woah! Hey, hey. It's alright.” He stepped towards you and his strong arms were around your body, “It’s gonna be ok.”

“It's not!” you sobbed, “I want my brother! I miss him! I wish he was here. I wish he could have…” Your rambling was strained by your cries, “I miss my aunt Annette and uncle William too…they…I know what they did was awful…but I can't help but miss them.”

Leon squeezed you close to his chest. He held you in a warm embrace and let you cry.

Get yourself together! You forced yourself to calm down. It was ridiculous. You had just graduated! You should be happy. But all you could feel now is the pain of those who were missing.

“I’m sorry.” you mumbled, pulling back, “After what they did…to you…to Sherry…”

“No…they…” Leon kept his hands on your upper arms, “They were your family, I get it.”

You sniffled, wiping your tears on the back of your hand, “Leon…” Your throat hurt, but you needed to know, “What…what were their last moments like?”

His blue eyes widened, his grip tightened. There was confusion, worry and anxiety in his gaze, “I…You don’t want to know.” He informed you as kindly as he could, “It’s not something you should-”

“I need to know.” You responded, managing to get your emotions under control. 

Leon swallowed and nodded. He told you. Of William’s mutations. His killing of your aunt. The former rookie couldn’t properly describe everything. But you could fill in the gaps. 

By the end of it, you needed more. You needed to know everything they did. The undead they created. The city they destroyed. The lives they took.

“...tell me everything.” You murmured, sitting down, “If you can. Tell me about Raccoon City.”

He sat next to you, looking at his hands. They were rough with callouses. He remained silent, not looking at you.

“Please.” You whispered.

Leon nodded slowly, “Ok…” 

He told you everything.

I don't know how coffee shop orders work so im going with general coffee preferences (I also know very little about coffee)

I think Tim would have like. Idk. Not TOO much creamer or anything in there, like he can still taste a lil bitterness of the coffee. He'd want whipped cream. He'd want some kind of crunchy topping. He would crumble cookies over it or nuts or smth. Idk if this is normal for coffee but it is still true to me either way.

Danny doesn't strike me as much of a coffee drinker but if he orders coffee he doesn't want to taste the coffee. A lot of creamer and sugar and general sweetness. He puts honey in it. Whipped cream is there. It's so sweet. It's so horribly sweet. He'd put marshmallows in there. Mocha is chocolate right? He'd get that. He doesn't want coffee he wants uber sweet hot chocolate but with Spice (caffeine)

[Chapter One: A Mother’s Choice]

It’s a very cold evening near the dark cacao kingdom, a mother was holding a freshly baked cookie in her arms. Not only but the mother was lost, hungry and dehydrated, she needed find somewhere to keep her and the fresh baked cookie warm. With a soft sigh, the mother continued to walked but something caught her attention, it was a small camp fire which made her smile happily, walking through the harsh snow the mother soon arrived at the fire and saw many cookies there. To her, it looked like a tribe and she felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome but the tribe leader welcomed her and her child. Walking into the small the village, the tribe leader welcomes her and her child, as the tribe leader took the mother to an hut where she will be sharing with another family.

The mother thanked the tribe leader which made them nod and smile. With the tribe leader leaving, the mother looked at the family and she was nervous, she held her little close one towards her before one of the family members came towards her.

“It’s alright, you don’t have to be scared. Do you have a name?” The male cookie said.

“My name is Mocha Brownie Cookie and this is my baby Bittersweet Mocha Cookie.” Mocha Brownie Cookie replied softly.

“It’s an honor to meet you mam, your welcome to have some bitter coffee soup and cream milk with us.”

Mocha Brownie Cookie nodded as she gently smiled at the cookie. With the night was calm but there was bloody screams and bloody yelling, Mocha Brownie Cookie soon woke up and saw many dead bodies on the snow. Her heart was racing, she soon grabbed her daughter and quickly ran as possible. With many miles away from the coffee tribe, Mocha Brownie Cookie noticed a cidil near by. Walking towards it Mocha Brownie heard a howl from distance, she was scared for her and her daughter Bittersweet Mocha Cookie. Quickly walking fast and fast towards the cidil, there was cream wolves near.

When Mocha Brownie Cookie looked at her daughter, she had tears in her eyes and heard the cream wolves near. Putting her daughter down onto the snow and put the note on her, she knocked loudly as she quickly ran off as she gonna distract the cream wolves. With the doors opening, the genshin soon opened the door and saw a baby on the snow floor. Quickly picking up the cookie, he took the baby inside and headed towards the throne room. With the king looking at the genshin, he was surprised to see him holding an new fresh baked cookie.

“My liege, s-someone dropped off this cookie off.. What are we gonna do with it!?” The genshin asked.

“You take care of the cookie Affogato Cookie. You found it, you take care of it.” Dark Cacao Cookie said.

“B-but my king!? I don’t know know how to take care of a fresh baked cookie!?”

“You’ll figure it out. If you need help ask the watchers for help.” Dark Cacao Cookie said.

With Dark Cacao Cookie soon leaving, Affogato Cookie looked at the new cookie, he sighed and walked towards his room and reread the note.

‘To whoever read this. Please take care of my daughter. Her name is Bittersweet Mocha Cookie. Please just protect her, I will eventually come back one day. Thank you for whoever takes her.” -M.B.C

Affogato Cookie looked at Bittersweet Mocha Cookie, but he soon adored her. He promised her that he will protect her with all his heart until her mother come back.

“I will protect you all my heart little angel. I promise you.” Affogato Cookie said with a soft voice.

When deciding that we would visit Singku Rooftop, we had to consider the location -somewhere near, that every member could easily go to. Singku Rooftop very conveniently is located just a few steps away from our university, HAU.

Upon arriving, we were welcomed by the sight of students chatting, studying, and enjoying their beverages. The space felt open and inviting, with a self-service system that added to its laid-back atmosphere. We found a vacant table and settled in, using the opportunity to catch up and discuss upcoming school projects. The rooftop setting created the perfect backdrop for both relaxation and productivity, allowing us to enjoy the fresh air and scenic views while we waited for our orders.

During our visit, we had the pleasure of trying a variety of beverages, each offering a unique and delightful flavor. All four of us each ordered a drink for ourselves.

White Mocha Latte – MJ's Review: "I was immediately drawn to the White Mocha Latte, and it did not disappoint! The combination of smooth espresso and creamy white chocolate gave it a rich yet mellow sweetness. It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a well-balanced coffee experience. Comforting and indulgent, this drink was an excellent choice to kickstart my evening."

Matcha Oreo – Francoise' Review: "As a matcha lover, I was excited to try the Matcha Oreo drink. The earthy bitterness of matcha blended perfectly with the sweet crunch of Oreo cookies, creating a fun contrast of flavors and textures. It was both refreshing and satisfying."

The experience at Singku Rooftop was both enjoyable and memorable, allowing us to unwind and engage in meaningful conversations without feeling rushed. The combination of great beverages, a welcoming ambiance, and a breathtaking view made our visit truly special. While the cafe does have minor drawbacks, such as the open-air exposure to the elements, its overall charm and appeal make it a spot worth revisiting. Whether you're looking for a casual hangout or a quiet place to study, Singku Rooftop offers a unique and refreshing experience in the heart of Angeles City.
