Highkey don’t want Lucy to be a TO. I just hate the idea, don’t like it. I want season 7 to be Lucy in a long term UC op for months maybe even a year. I want Lucy to come to the conclusion of UC work is for her or not on her own. I want it to be her decision alone. Personally I want her to do short term UC ops but her main focus should be special victims. Maybe she can get a girlfriend before getting back with Tim. Just throwing out some ideas.

I accidentally wrote a follow-up because part 1 ended up being too angsty... read on ao3
Lucy didn't want to say that Tim pulling her and River over was the thing that ended their relationship. Because it wasn't, really, it wasn't. It might have been a contributing factor, but it wasn't the reason.
She hadn't shared her dating history at that point, choosing the extremely casual route and knowing less about each other’s histories in an attempt to live in the present and focus on the now. River didn't know the cop that pulled them over was her ex until after he walked away with their license and registration gripped hard in his hand. She explained quietly, only slightly buzzed from her three ciders over an hour and a half, he’s the guy I'm still in love with, and they had shared a laugh that of course, even when dating a cop, you're still not immune to traffic laws and it makes sense, we’d get pulled over in the three minutes LA traffic wasn't a dense and unmanageable nightmare.
Lucy knew going into the relationship that they wouldn't last long. River was addicted to the highs of life and couldn't stay in one place for too long. She knew they'd be skipping town in a few months to go on a European bike tour with no plans to return to LA afterward. Lucy knew she was just along for the ride until the time came.
But after River was put off being in the middle of two cops’ messy relationship drama, the situationship ended sooner than either planned. And Lucy was fine with it, really. They had a conversation, they discussed their grievances and needs, and they talked it out like two emotionally mature consenting adults.
And Lucy moved on.
At work, she could tell from their interactions that therapy was starting to hit Tim hard. The exhaustion and pensive look were constantly present on Tim’s face. Lucy could see him pause and take a moment before entering situations where she was present, likely repeating a mantra in his head or doing a calming breath exercise. That, and his behavior toward her were clear signs he was making forward progress. He went further than being nice to her. He was kind to her. Doing more than the bare minimum required, watching out for her while giving her space to make her own decisions, acting like he had no claim over her because he'd finally realized his deep need to protect the people he loved from harm was in fact the harm he wanted to protect them from.
Lucy was finally hopeful that he hadn't given up on her— on them.
In the back of her mind, Lucy knew she wasn't being kind when her dates picked her up outside the station. There was no intent on her end to shove her new relationships in Tim’s face. She was trying to be respectful of how he was feeling, even if he still struggled to extend the same courtesy to her or to communicate to her how he was feeling at all. She tried her best to avoid it, to meet them a few blocks away or even at the place they were meeting, but for some reason, all her dates wanted to show off that they were dating a hot cop. And for some reason, Lucy kept attracting people who rode bikes. What the hell was that about?
So she was trying something new. Something she hadn't done since grad school to wash the taste of normalcy and expectations from her mouth. After two more than pleasant dates, Gemma parked her Suzuki in the visitor lot and made her way to the front entrance to wait for Lucy.
Lucy, who was in conversation with Tim on her way out. They still weren't friends, but they were friendly. They talked about work only unless they were talking about Kojo. And right now, Tim was asking Lucy if she'd maybe want to go on a walk with him and Kojo sometime. Not the intense hikes they used to do together, no, those provided too much seclusion and alone time to really talk. Tim was asking for something a few rungs down on the commitment ladder. Just a casual walk around his neighborhood, maybe a stop at a food truck for tacos and a beer if the first half of their walk went well. It wasn't a resolution, but it was a step toward fixing what he broke.
Lucy winced when she saw Gemma waiting for her as she stepped out of the precinct doors. She shot Tim an apologetic look and a whispered sorry, though she could tell he didn't know why.
Until Gemma walked up and kissed Lucy’s cheek.
“I snagged us tickets to that pop-up art festival you were showing me last night,” she excitedly announced, paying no mind to the tall man taking a step back from Lucy and shoving his hands deep into his front pocket.
“FADE or Jones-LA?” Tim lifted his bowed head to ask, much to Lucy’s surprise. He used to moan and groan about all the pop-up experiences Lucy wanted to go to when they were dating, but now he was abreast of all the things she was interested in? Huh, nice effort, Bradford.
“FADE,” Lucy confirmed with a slight smile, taking equal distance between the woman in a leather jacket and Tim whose soft cotton zip-up was draped over his forearm.
“Food, art, dance, erotica— what more could you want from a street fair in LA?” Gemma beamed, unaware of the relationship between Lucy and the tall blonde man but bold enough anyway to twine her hand in Lucy’s who reluctantly touched for a moment before pulling away to push her hair behind her ear.
It was awkward to do this dance in front of Tim. But at least he was taking it better than the last time he interrupted one of her dates.
“So, um, I’ll text you the details about Kojo if you want,” Tim suggested hesitantly, looking only at Lucy and trying not to dress down her date with a jealous glare.
“Yes, please do, Tim,” Lucy’s tone and eye contact said a million more words than the ones that came out.
It said this isn't serious. I want you. I want Kojo. Let me know when you're ready to try again.
Tim puffed a small smile at her, hearing what she didn't say. “Have fun and be safe, Luce. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?”
“Yeah,” Lucy nodded before walking next to Gemma to her black and orange bike.
Lucy had a feeling this would be the last time she mounted a bike on the back of a near acquaintance.
"You're cute when you're jealous"

Post Break-Up, mayyybeee not what you had in mind, but it's what my mind came up with! Read on ao3
He knows he broke up with her. He knows he has no right to feel this way… Well, actually– his new therapist would remind him he’s allowed to feel any way he feels, it’s what he does with those feelings that matters. He had rolled his eyes when he had heard that, and yet, it bounced around his head as felt the feelings from overhearing Lucy talking to Celina about her upcoming date.
He didn’t feel good.
He felt even worse when he saw an attractive person pick her up from the station on their fucking motorcycle a few days later.
Yeah, it had been months since he broke up with her (the narrative he wrote for himself in an attempt to take responsibility for his own actions, another eye roll given to his therapist) and he had yet to have that adult conversation she wanted from him, so really it was partially his responsibility for the way he was feeling about Lucy moving on with someone else.
If he wanted her to know he still loved her and desired to try again, to get back together, it was up to him to tell her. The feelings that resulted from his lack of action were a consequence of his choice. And he just wasn’t ready for that adult conversation yet. Soon, but not yet. He could live with the consequences for the time being.
So he avoided her when she was clocking out. He walked the other way and busied himself when he saw her new partner show up and sweep her away on dates. He cringed and tried to ignore when he overheard her talking to other officers about the details of her new relationship– of others’ impressions of them getting drinks together, how well matched they seemed.
Three months into Lucy’s new relationship, Tim groaned as he spotted the unintentionally familiar motorbike zoom past him with the back plate flipped up. He didn’t mean to memorize what kind of ride Lucy’s new partner rode, but he couldn’t keep his eyes away every time the obnoxiously loud bright red Ducatti skidded out of the parking lot with the love of his life hanging off the back. And he could tell it was Lucy on the back, able to recognize her easily after spending so many hours memorizing what her body looked and felt like.
Her hair was a little different now, longer and flushed with a recent balayage, she had more recognizable tattoos, a new one on her lower back and another on her forearm. She looked different from the Lucy he dated, even the Lucy he first fell in love with, but at her core, she was still Lucy Chen, the person he imagined spending the rest of his life with.
So he swallowed his pride, his choice to not let the infraction slide by. Technically, it was up to his discretion when and how he enforced laws, and he didn’t need to be pulling over an appropriately sped motorcycle in light traffic in the early evening, especially when he was a Sergeant and had much more effective things he could be doing.
Flashing his lights and sirens, he noticed Lucy tense as her driver pulled over to the side of the road and kicked out the stand to lean the bike over. They turned off the engine and took out the key, knowing well how to perform this little dance.
“License and registration, please,” Tim asked, trying to ignore the way Lucy’s arm was wrapped around the person’s waist and her hand was resting on their upper thigh.
“It’s in my bag, I need to dismount the bike,” the driver announced, knowing cops got antsy if you tried to move without warning them what you were going to do, despite having a cop of their own on their back.
Tim nodded and stepped away, placing his hands securely on his hips for his gun and taser if needed.
Lucy got off the bike as well and removed her helmet. It was obvious once she showed her face that she was intoxicated, Tim could recognize the glassy look in her eyes and the flush running from her cheeks to her chest a mile away. It was how she looked when she was aroused too. Damnit.
“Have you been drinking tonight?” Tim asked the driver, taking their documents and observing their demeanor for the classic signs. He’d arrest them in a heartbeat if they even thought about drinking and riding with Lucy Chen as their passenger.
“Tim,” Lucy admonished, embarrassed he was doing this when she knew damn well he didn’t have to.
Tim shifted his body away from Lucy, a noticeable defense mechanism he was sure would upset her further.
“No sir,” River Fuentes (as their license stated) said, “My girlfriend had a few ciders, but I stuck to water since I’m operating a motor vehicle tonight.”
Tim tried his best not to feel hurt by the title of girlfriend, but he couldn’t stop the little arrow of jealousy piercing his heart.
“I’m going to run these, stay put,” Tim commanded a touch too harshly, bite clear in his tone.
He heard an “ahhh” of understanding as he walked away followed by a fit of laughter. He clenched the documents tight in his hands hoping to hell he found an outstanding warrant on River Fuentes so he could arrest their ass and stick it to Lucy. What, exactly he would be sticking to Lucy, he wasn’t sure. Maybe just another sign he was too immature and petty to handle an adult relationship and push himself even further away from his desired future. Well, at least he’d have something new to talk about in therapy next week.
He cursed when the check came back clean. Well, other than a ticket for expired registration; Tim knew that meant they got pulled over for something that was not expired registration considering the ticket was issued four months ago and the registration in his hands didn’t expire for another two.
Having no other option but to issue a warning for the flipped license plate in the back, Tim was forced to let them both go and literally ride off into the sunset together.
When he got back to the bike, Lucy, and River, they were speaking in hushed tones, though he could tell it was Spanish. He didn’t have a fucking chance if this was his competition. Still, he remained steely-eyed and stern, a familiar role he knew his therapist would cast down their eyes at.
“Your back plate needs to be visible at all times. Fix it before getting back on the road,” He barked, handing back River’s papers.
“Will do, Sergeant Bradford,” River courteously nodded.
“Tim?” Lucy called as he turned to walk away.
He turned back and resentfully met Lucy’s drunken gaze.
“You’re cute when you're jealous." She giggled before mounting the bike and putting her helmet back on.
He huffed annoyed and got back into his shop, slamming the door harder than necessary. Though, maybe he could be ready for that adult conversation sooner than he thought. He had a stronger incentive now; he never wanted to pull over Lucy and her partner ever again.
Tim watched angrily as River got back on the bike and Lucy molded her body to their back, arms wrapped tight around their middle.
Fuck. He was jealous.

why are people so against oliver and ryan talking about buddie, don't we want this, don't we want buddie to be canon? i'm sorry are we rooting for buck to end up with tommy or something, like I don't understand why so many people are saying stop asking them about buddie?
If we want Buddie then shouldn't we be asking buddie questions? I mean I'm so sorry but I'm just very confused, shouldn't we be happy that buddie is getting this much press and love? Why are we against it?
Okay, this is going to be a long one.
There are a few reasons why people are concerned about publications teasing Buddie happening and using the ship name and asking Oliver and Ryan about the ship. I'll try to be as concise as possible.
I would like to note, I'm not going to answer a bunch of questions about this. Other people have answered similar questions plenty of times, if you take a bit to look around 911blr. I'm sure @catdadeddie has gone into this a few times.
However, I understand that we are getting a lot of new fans this season, and so I want to try and explain comprehensively for those who haven't been around. I hope this covers everything.
Whenever a ship is between two people of the same gender as opposed to two people of the opposite gender (I know, I know, but we can't get into the gender spectrum right now just play along with me), everyone involved has to be very, very careful when it comes to talking about that ship ahead of said ship going canon.
It is very easy to slip into something called "queerbaiting." I'm assuming that you and most people online and in fandom by now have heard of this term but just in case: queerbaiting is when a show acts like a queer ship might happen in marketing and promotion in order to draw in a queer audience.
Historically, this was done by having a main character played by a woman have a romantic thing with another woman (flirting, even kissing!) who was a guest star, hinting at the main character's bisexuality/queerness, only for that guest star to never come back and for the show to act like it had never happened. This was done during something called, IIRC, "sweeps week" which was basically an important week for TV viewer ratings in the 90s. It was a way to boost your numbers by drawing in queer viewers with the promise of actual queer rep that then wasn't realized. It's a marketing tactic.
Nowadays the nature of queerbaiting has changed a bit. It's an overused term that frankly people love to (mis)use whenever a ship of theirs doesn't go canon and a show dares to do things like having two people (like say Ryan and Oliver) who play the two halves of the ship do an interview together (whether you ship Buddie or not, they are close friends, and it makes sense that they'd do a few interviews together - that is not queerbaiting). A good example of real queerbaiting is Rizzoli & Isles which, among other things, took out billboards and magazine spreads showing the characters (two women) in suggestively sexual and romantic positions and with slogans hinting that the two had more than just friendship together, then never, ever delivered on it and in fact laughed at the idea of the characters being gay for each other.
(I WAS THERE, GANDALF!!!)
Because of this unfortunate treatment of queer audiences and the (historic) dearth of actual queer characters and queer ships going canon (it's getting better but still), networks, showrunners, and so on have to be very careful when, say, they want to make a queer ship canon.
Look at how ABC handled Chenford, a popular ship in their show The Rookie. Chenford was not a planned ship - the fans adored the chemistry between the two characters (Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford), the writers liked the idea and decided to lean into it, ABC gave the go-ahead, and the ship officially got together and went canon last season. ABC heavily promoted Chenford and the ship and made a lot of jokes about it in the last couple of seasons leading into the ship going canon, using the ship heavily in their marketing.
ABC cannot necessarily do that with Buddie, because even if Buddie is going canon, until that happens, they could get accused of queerbaiting. There's a much bigger minefield to navigate because of this historic misuse of queer audiences and queer characters.
So whenever journalists and publications use a popular non-canonical queer ship name for clicks and fandom interest, if that ship doesn't immediately go canon or if the network/showrunner/etc doesn't say "yeah they're totally gonna kiss! with tongue!" people accuse the show of queerbaiting. This is unfair to the show for two reasons: one, the network is not going to bother sending "shut the fuck up" letters to every single damn publication out there for using a ship name in their headline and talking about a ship - they'll be accused of homophobia and it draws even MORE attention to the issue re: the Barbra Streisand effect (look it up); and two, the people involved in the show are NOT going to spoil the anticipation and surprise by admitting ANY ship is going to go canon before it does.
This is simple marketing - the movie trailer doesn't (or shouldn't, anyway) show you the ending of the movie or everything that happens in it. TV shows want you to tune in every week and speculate and guess. They're not gonna spoil a ship ahead of time.
This means that when journalists and articles pull this shit, they're putting the showrunner, the writers, the actors doing interviews, and the network in a bad situation that they can't really do anything about. Not without causing more mess.
So that's reason number one why a lot of us are annoyed: by yelling about Buddie, these articles and journalists are setting the cast and crew we love up to get yelled at for queerbaiting if Buddie doesn't immediately happen, and there's nothing the cast and crew can do about it, and it's all so the journalists and articles can use us, the fandom, for clicks. So we're also kinda getting used here, and it doesn't feel great.
The second reason we're annoyed about Buddie questions is that it's being asked of the actors who, nine times out of ten, have ZERO CONTROL OVER THE STORYLINES.
Now, there are exceptions. Jennifer Love Hewitt, who plays Maddie, has pushed back on a couple storylines that were given to her and has therefore had a strong hand in shaping Maddie's character. One infamous (in a positive way) example is that Maddie and Eddie were supposed to be an endgame couple. JLH, however, immediately loved the character of Chimney and clicked with Chim's actor Kenneth Choi, so she asked if Maddie could get with Chim instead, feeling he'd be a better fit for her character. And lo, both the beautiful ship Madney and the insanity that is Buddie shipping was born because Buck ended up stepping into that co-parenting-Chris role that Maddie obviously would've originally filled.
However, it should be noted that JLH was an established star before coming onto 9-1-1, and her husband is friends with Tim the showrunner. I would argue that the only other two actors who have any power on their storylines are Peter and Angela, the latter because she can do whatever she wants forever, and the former because (like Angela) he is an executive producer on the show.
It's not that actors never ever get to have a say ever, but the writers, showrunner, and network have much more power. They create the storylines, they make the decisions. Not actors. So when the actors are repeatedly asked about a ship, they're put in an awkward position where they might not even know the full storyline for their character that season and now they need to answer in a way that doesn't reveal any information they do know, but also doesn't insult shippers or dash their hopes. This is a double minefield for queer ships because, again: historic insults to queer fans and characters, nobody wants to be offensive.
The third reason is that this fandom has, historically, treated Tim, Oliver, and others like absolute dogshit over Buddie not going canon. Oliver's left Twitter and taken big social media breaks because of how he was yelled at online. It's not cool, guys. Vent all you want but directing it at the cast and crew isn't okay and maybe if it was just you talking sternly that would be fine (maybe) but when it's dozens of people? It's bullying. Full stop.
Every single time Buddie has not gone canon instantly, the actors and others have gotten verbally abused on social media. Every time the actors have been asked about Buddie and not said "ohmygod yes I want it to happen so bad" (they are not allowed to say this because it might create false hope because again: historical queerbaiting) they've gotten yelled at. We are tired of the actors getting yelled at over something over which they have no control.
The fourth reason is that Oliver, especially, has gotten asked about Buddie a LOT. A lot. The poor man is very tired. He's been cornered about Buddie and asked about it aggressively by certain journalists (one journalist, Max Gao, actually tried to corner Gavin who plays Chris over Buddie - this was a few years ago so Gavin was even younger than he is now and I personally think that is an incredibly unfairly loaded question to give to a child).
If I may dive into speculation for a moment, given how the actors have been SO gleeful about the move to ABC, the fact that they've admitted ABC is letting them do storylines and little moments that FOX wouldn't, and a few other things I won't get into here because this damn thing is long enough already... I suspect FOX would not let Buddie happen. If this is the case, then actors being asked about Buddie is even more loaded because they are being asked questions about it and they can't say "yeah we want to but the network won't let us." THEY WILL GET FIRED FOR THIS.
But, whether or not my speculation is true, the fact remains that when you are repeatedly, over and over, aggressively asked if this fan ship is going to happen or not, you get tired. There's only so many times that someone can give a diplomatic answer before you just want to snap "stop fucking asking me!" Journalists love to take advantage of fandom and social media chatter to get attention for their articles so asking over and over again about Buddie isn't because they genuinely care or think it'll happen, it's to get shippers reading their article, and so bombarding the actors and writers with this question when they've already kinda said their peace a lot about it is frustrating. Just! Leave them alone!
And AGAIN: if this was a M/F ship there could maybe be room for teasing the will-they-won't-they but because of historically bad treatment of queer characters and fans, THEY CANNOT DO THAT. So the only option open to them is to KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT. And keeping one's mouth shut and threading that diplomatic needle for years is EXHAUSTING.
We do want Buddie to be canon, nonny, and in my opinion we are going to get it. All this recent PR supports that, (again: in my opinion).
However, we have seen Oliver get bombarded with what he thinks about Buddie until the cows come home, and he deserves a break. There's nothing new he can say, there's nothing new he's allowed to say. We have seen other parts of the fandom scream that we're being queerbaited because Buddie didn't instantly go canon, without any consideration for the fact that a) queerbaiting is a marketing tactic and b) there might be other factors at play preventing it going canon. We have seen journalists take advantage of us, the shippers, in order to get attention, and we have seen them create an awkward and embarrassing atmosphere in interviews by repeatedly asking about the ship. We have seen shippers make us look bad by hounding the cast and crew on social media about Buddie, treating every woman actress who plays a Buck/Eddie love interest like shit (yes, I know about Edy, but she could be a saint and parts of the fandom would still go onto Instagram to call her names), and generally being absolute pills that would tempt any showrunner, actor, or writer to say "y'know what fuck 'em let's not make Buddie canon I'm not rewarding this shitty behavior."
"If we want Buddie then shouldn't we be asking Buddie questions?" No. Not like journalists and fans have been. It's something to bring up - in my opinion - sparingly and with an awareness of how queer storylines and ships and fandom have been mocked, ignored, baited, and so on over the years. They don't ask about Buddie because they give a shit. They ask because they want our clicks for their ad revenue and they want our retweets and likes and comments. And it's certainly not something to bombard the actors with on social media and bitch at them if it doesn't happen. It just makes the rest of fandom look bad and makes us look like children.
Additionally: These are not new questions! They're not only asking these questions now that it looks like Buddie will go canon, with serious hope and consideration based on the marketing and storylines. They've been asking this since season fucking two, when Buddie was clearly not planned, just to get fangirl (gn) clicks. They wanted to get attention and teehee over how Oliver/Ryan/whoever reacted to people thinking Buck and Eddie should touch dicks. 'Kay?
We know the pattern. So when every piece of media is screaming BUDDIE!!! we are not seeing it as "OMG could we go canon?" We see it as another round of being taken advantage of for article attention, another round of parts of the fandom being bullies and yelling about being baited, and another round of the actors being backed into uncomfortable corners.
That's why we're concerned, worried, and annoyed.
*collapses* I hope this covered everything and explained it all.

BIOGRAPHY.
Your story began like many before you. Born to successful Shanghai business owners, your childhood was gifted to you on a silver platter. You had your mother wrapped around your finger, and as the only child of the Chen household, your father instantly took you into his arms and declared you his heir. You lived in a gilded cage of your own creation, wrapped in silks and deemed the darling of high society, and you knew the rest of your life was meant to be as easy and fulfilling as your youth.
Your naive optimism was almost the death of you. You hadn't meant to be seduced by the son of a lower-class merchant, but his kind eyes and thoughtful words charmed you instantly. It felt like a love story out of a fairy tale, but it turned into the makings of a cautionary tale. You hadn't noticed the darkness that lurked behind his gaze, or the way his sugar-coated words hid barbed thorns. It wasn't until he robbed you of your money and your standards that you realized he wasn't after a fairy tale ending--- he simply wanted to punish your parents for rejecting his family's merchandise, and you were the unlucky victim.
His abandonment would've been a blessing had you not realized you were pregnant. To be pregnant at the mere age of 20, with no ties to the father, was a fate worse than death in your social circle. Those who adored you in your youth began to turn away from you, and even your parents untangled themselves from your firm grip. They were adamant that no daughter of theirs would be so foolish, and you began to think they were right. Could you truly call yourself their daughter when you brought nothing but shame to their eyes? Could you consider yourself part of the family when they so easily changed their opinion of you? You didn't think so, so you did the unthinkable--- you broke free of your gilded cage and ran away from your rose-colored life.
You fled to NYC, and for once, you felt unsure about your position in life. You had no funds of your own, no family other than your unborn child, and no skills other than the ones learned from observing your parents' business meetings. You began working odd-ball jobs in an attempt to keep yourself afloat, but the work never truly satisfied you. You felt like you were merely surviving, not living, and you longed to change that perspective-- both for your sanity, as well as your daughter's well-being.
It was fate that brought you face-to-face with the former Jade Tribe boss, Leonardo Rosso. In an act of desperation, you chose to steal a watch from an unsuspecting bystander. You had wanted to pawn it for enough cash to get your daughter a birthday gift, but you hadn't realized just who you stole from until the man showed up at your apartment with a gun the same night. The night was supposed to be your last, the price you were meant to pay for your sins, but the sight of a young mother and child living in nothing but a desolate apartment was enough to sway even the most powerful of men. He let you keep the watch, claiming it's a gift for the little principessa. Truthfully, the real gift was for you--- for this became a chance to take back control over your own narrative.
A few more fated encounters led you to become like family to the mob boss. You molded yourself into the role of his pseudo-daughter, and you played the part of the silent shadow a bit too well. You were seen as the mob's secret weapon, the quiet lethality tucked into their back corner, and that's how you liked it. You wore your heart on your sleeve once before, and all it brought you was ruin. Now, you refused to open yourself up to anyone, lest they try and betray you as well. The only exception was Leonardo, but even he only saw the bits and pieces you chose to offer him.
You continued this way for years--- sticking to corners, observing others in an effort to pinpoint their exact weaknesses, keeping your smiles fake and eyes void of any true emotion. The only time your guarded visage shattered was the moment Leonardo announced he was stepping down as the head of the Jade Tribe. You felt that familiar feeling of uncertainty ache in your chest, and your mind couldn't help but feel like that helpless 20-year-old once again. It wasn't until he revealed that you would be his replacement that your shoulders learned to relax--- for if you were the boss, then you wouldn't have to worry about losing control of the life you desperately fought for.
This brings us to your current story. The stoic boss of the Jade Tribe, the serpent hidden in the shadows. You watch over your mob with the same keen eyes that brought you to this point, determined to keep them from falling apart in your blood-soaked hands. It didn't matter that you had to abandon your former self to earn this title. All that matters is that you intend to make sure your sacrifices were worth it in the end.

OC PRIDE CHALLENGE 2023
WEEK ONE: IDENTITIES
Day 3: Bisexual
–› Sabine Mitchell & Sam Evans (Glee)
Sab held her twig above the fire, hoping the marshmallo wouldn’t slide off it and into the fire this time. Her hand was shaking from the cool air hitting it. The weather change came suddenly, but Sabine wasn’t willing to let Sam go home without ever having made a proper s’more.
“I f-f-f-eel l-l-l-ike we s-s-s-s-hould g-g-g-o into...” Sam halted, his entire body shaking. “t-t-he t-e-e-e-nt.”
Sabine narrowed her eyes, pulling the marshmallo from the fire when she felt it was just the right kind of burnt. She blew on it before putting piece of a Hershey’s chocolate bar on a piece of graham cracker and smushing the marshmallo on top.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Sam rubbing his arms. She knew he was acting, of course. He was packed into a warm enough jacket and had enough body fat to not be freezing.
Sabine shook her head, putting another piece of graham cracker over the marshmallo. She handed the finished treat her boyfriend, containing her snicker as she put another marshmallo on the twig.
“Eat some s’more. That’ll warm you right up.”
“Can’t we just go inside?”
Sabine threw her head back in her neck with a loud sigh. “It’s not any warmer inside the tent, Samuel!”
Sam scowled, taking a bite of his s’more. He’d gotten used to camping, but he didn’t think he’d ever get used to the woods like Sabine had.
“I know what you wanna do inside the tent, Sam,” Sab finally said, giving him side eye as she assembled her own dessert. “Do I need to remind you of all the horror stories I told you before we went on this trip?”
“No, they’ve frightened me enough, thank you.”
Sabine chuckled slightly. “Well, you know they’re mostly exaggerated, right? You’re more likely to be torn to shreds by a bear or fall off a cliff in the dark, then you are of being killed by some deranged maniac on the trail.”
Sam narrowed his eyes now. “That’s not very comforting.”
Sabine rose from her chair, walking over to Sam with her favorite blanket draped over her shoulders. She sat down on his lap carefully, wiggling her butt as she got comfortable.
“Now, you can get warm. And we can watch the stars for a bit.”
Sam smiled, shaking his head. He put his chin on her shoulder, pulling her closer to him as they looked up at the sky.
“I am having so much fun,” she said with a smile on her face.
“Yeah, me too.”

Note
Lucy Chen for the character ask🙂
I adore her <3 (even if I’m currently behind, lol)
First impression: badass bisexual disaster child
Impression now: badass bisexual disaster child with surprising emotional competency 🥰
Favorite moment: her stealing Tim’s money clip and calling him to rub it in
Idea for a story: I’m still one day gonna write Kojo parent trapping them
Unpopular opinion: idk, but I guess I really really don’t want to see them doing a jealousy arc with Chris, I want to watch him fade into the background or for them to be friends. Because he had a lot he could have/probably learned from her and I’d hate that to go to waste. We’re all adults here ya know?
Favorite relationship: platonically Jackson West, romantically Tim Bradford
Favorite headcanon: she’s the dog mom who shows up at Tim’s on Kojo’s gotcha day with a doggie birthday cake and presents (and he grumbles about it but secretly loves it)
send me a character <3
