Birack Biboma! Let me have a bisexual president! (Thanks for posting this. I’m bi, but sort of chuckled a little, then felt a sense of sourness that has pervaded my whole life. Then I moved on. What am I gonna do? Cry about it? Because we really do condition ourselves, us, the literal bisexual people of this world, we condition ourselves to just accept not being taken seriously.
Every day the “bisexual” couch grows more valid. ) - Bisexual woman who has been happily married to a man for 16 years but is still bisexual and will die bisexual.

"uuhhh let me be queer" is still funny tho
And I don't think it's bad if people found this funny, if you can also take in this other side... you know?

college-aged obama portraying himself as bisexual in an effort to attract artsy girls is the funniest thing i’ve read all week

“It's like watching a car crash.” Steve snorts, watching Robin try to flirt with the girl at the bar.
Eddie glances at their best friend and lets out a soft laugh. “Yea, it is. But you can't judge babe.”
Steve gives him a scandalized look. “What's that supposed to mean? I thought you loved bitchy me.”
Eddie kisses his temple, “Oh, I do. It's just you were just as bad with me.” He nods at Robin and the goth girl she's flailing over.
“I was not!”
Eddie lets out a cackle. “Yes, you were. You flirted way too hard. I thought you were mocking me. You stumbled over your words when I called you cute—which made you even cuter—and I had to make the first move in the end in my van.”
Steve grumbles, “But I was smooth after that.”
Eddie swoops Steve in his arms and pushes him against the bar. He whispers in his ear real low, “Oh big boy, you were very smooth after. Gotta say that's the quickest anyone's got me into bed.”
Steve shakes his head laughing, but Eddie can tell he got a bit worked up. “Eddie I'm the only one who's got you into bed.”
“Hmmm, and you've ruined me for everyone.” Eddie squeezes Steve’s hips. Steve breaks and attacks Eddie’s lips with his own. Eddie moans openly into his mouth.
“God, I hope she gets her number soon. Can't wait to get you back into that bed.” Steve purrs.
They are both broken from their trance when they hear a crash. They turn their heads to find Robin profusely apologizing to the guy whose drink she knocked out of his hand.
Eddie snorts, “Okay, yea. You’re right. She's worse. It's like watching a train wreck.”
Steve puts his head on Eddie’s shoulder and laughs. “Yea, but she's our train wreck.”
They look at her fondly when Eddie says, “That she is.”

Need an acknowledgement after Buddie goes canon of them having had latent or explicit feelings for each other for years. This isn’t a case of “oh, we were best friends for years and then one day we woke up and were in love.” This is a case of “we’ve been best friends for years, and we’ve been falling in love with each other since the day we met. We just didn’t understand it yet.” We’ve already had Buck’s realization that he’s bisexual, but his arc was chock-full of obliviousness to his attraction to Eddie, his feelings for Eddie, whose attention he actually wants. He still doesn’t really get it, but he gets that he likes men too, at least. Eddie is a whole other ball game. From the Catholic guilt to the toxic masculinity to the childhood emotional neglect to the pressure he keeps putting on himself to perform in relationships. He’s repressed as hell, and he isn’t to “I’m gay” yet, but we see hints of him understanding that how he feels might be a little different (his pause at “follow your heart, not Christopher’s” from Carla, his two talks with Bobby, admitting to performance anxiety on dates to the whole team, his talk with Buck about Marisol being an ex-nun, his acceptance that Ana and a ready-made family was the reason for his panic attack).
We know that the two of them are bad at identifying how they really feel, or at least allowing themselves to feel it. So, it makes way more sense for the show to admit that they’ve had romantic feelings for each other for years, rather than trying to convince the audience that what we’ve been watching these past seven seasons isn’t a product of two characters’ struggles with their identity and relationships. And while I’d be satisfied with a light-hearted snark from Hen or Chim about how they’ve been seeing it for years, I’d be so much happier with a full circle moment of the boys actually fully knowing themselves, acknowledging that they were never just best friends, they just didn’t understand it yet. It would show their series-long growth, as well as being an enormous tip of the hat to the audience. Because we aren’t misinterpreting it. We’re reading the queer-coding directly from the show, yes through subtext of course, but also the literal text. There have been so many moments deserving of acknowledgement in this regard, and I would hate for Buddie to go canon without it being clarified that those moments were exactly as queer and/or romantic as we thought.

My couch theories … I have a few oops…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eddie leaves Buck his couch. So with that means the month or two Eddie is gone. The couch is at Buck’s place. Or even Buck stays at Eddie’s house for him and rents out his apartment to Ravi or Josh or someone. Yet each night instead of sleeping in guest room he sleeps on couch. And like parallel with Abby, not just staying at their place but also Eddie and Buck Face Time/call/text each other .. and even can be cool film shots like Red, White, & Royal Blue did like they are in the same room while on the phone. And obviously Buck talks to Chris too.
First scene back with Buddie opens with them carrying the couch into empty house, but we assume it’s Texas but they settle relaxing after moving but their first furniture inside new place. Their shoulders brush when they sit back. Chris’s room is already unpacked and he’s in his room. Buddie sit up and cheers beer bottles together. Happy they are in Los Angeles still. But Eddie still sold his old house and got a bigger one, a room for Buck .. since they now live together and Chris is home. Since Eddie knew Chris seeing Kim in the old house had him upset and Eddie needed fresh start anyway. So now I have Buck’s loft aka dream house Ravi at Buck’s loft because I don’t want to stop seeing loft it’s everything I want for a house. But know for Buckley Diaz Family doesn’t work.
Buck confesses his feelings as they sit on the couch. Like the night before Eddie leaves for Texas ..and Buck blurts it out. Then he flees and goes home and the next morning the quiet awkward ride to airport no one says anything. Cuz come on Buck always drives Eddie around so he’s taking him to airport even if it hurts. They hug at the door you can’t pass like Buck did with Abby and before Buck can say bye Eddie kisses him. Buck shocked but kisses back and then Eddie pulls away leaving quickly. Buck went back to Eddie’s and after baking more than he should’ve he sits on couch with the bakeries all over the coffee table. And he cries and hugs into a couch pillow.
Their first kiss is on the couch.. not drunk just movie faded in background and they finally kiss. The movie long forgotten as they share their first, second and third kiss. Eventually they need air and silence fills the air as the movie is now back at the first screen to hit play. Either Buck or Eddie moves to sit on the others lap and they kiss again, shirts are off, then it cuts to black cuz it’s not fanfic .. and then cuts back to them cuddling on the couch with breathing heavy and smiles. Laughter and worried they messed up friendship but now seeing and confessing why it never worked with anyone else. It’s always been you.

"But, it’s impossible to not let it influence your work in some way, especially when you’re reading all these things and if you agree with some of them, then how do you end up not taking that on board?"
Oliver, please share with the class exactly what parts of Buddie discourse you agree with.

We can all agree that s6 sucked in some plot stories but we can't deny either that it was good for other things like:
The Henren begin episode, Buck being hit by a light and Eddie be there to rescued him, The Buckley Diaz scenes, The poker date night, the couch theory, Maddie asking Chimney to marry him...
I mean that was good until the finale...
