What I wish Medical Providers Understood when meeting a Doula
“Chey, OMG! I know we spoke about this but why are providers so rude?! It was awful” ; I was driving home from seeing a client , my car is truly my office , I can’t tell you how much business I have conducted in there as a Doula. Taking time to reflect on a birth isn’t just a thing parents should be encouraged to do but Doulas and Birthworkers as well. I always make time and space to discuss a…

Trans men and enby's,
Testosterone does not work as birth control.
Your doctor may tell you this, a nurse might, but it DOES NOT.
For the love of god, wear protection

i haven’t made them be toxic in a while so i don’t think jordan was actually there for tubbo’s birth. and schlatt LOVES to hold it over jordan’s head and bitch about how he wasn’t there for him when he needed him most, ohhh he was so neglectful, only for jordan to rebut with the fact that SCHLATT DIDNT TELL HIM HE WAS GOING INTO LABOR. HOW WAS HE SUPPOSED TO KNOW. schlatt insist he “just should’ve” because fatherly instincts and all that. SCHLATT certainly knew so OBVIOUSLY jordan should’ve too

"That's not what the doctors said you were at your birth!"
Fucker, the doctors didn't even believe I'd been born, I wouldn't take their word on anything.

Can’t believe I have to say this but birth control cannot give you PCOS. PCOS has genetic and environmental factors that have nothing to do w BC. Researchers can predict the later development of PCOS from biomarkers present when you’re a baby. If you went on birth control as a teenager and then just recently went off it as an adult and started having PCOS symptoms it’s bc birth control is often used to treat PCOS. It was just masking the PCOS that whole time, and you were relatively young when you first started taking it, so your symptoms hadn’t become obvious yet.
Not that hormones can’t have a huge impact on health, but you should be wary when any woman starts talking about how birth control “ruined her body” bc even if she’s telling the truth there’s a good chance that she actually has a serious underlying health condition that became more apparent by either stopping or starting birth control. It does not mean birth control itself is evil. The problem is the lack of research into health conditions that affect women and how they affect women. It’s not that your woman-body is so wild and unpredictable that there’s no telling what some mysterious female hormones could do to you.
Also not all hormonal birth control is going to affect your body the same anyway. People tend to have very different reactions to high estrogen and low estrogen pills respectively, for example (including myself). It’s completely understandable to be wary of how stopping/starting the pill could affect your body, but keep in mind that most of the changes actually triggered by that would be a. temporary and b. could be managed by switching to another form of birth control or adding a separate medication or treatment to manage symptoms if you really need to be on that specific form of it.

stop flooding my inbox with your birth charts lol, not only is it disrespectful to expect someone to analyse your chart for free but im a bit concerned that you dont think of your birth chart as an intimate piece of you. would you drop your mobile number, address and social security in the dms of a stranger? your birth chart info is personal and private, you shouldnt be parading it around. all occult knowledge is meant to be kept private. the nature of it is secrecy. inviting unwanted gaze upon it literally has terrible consequences. how do you know that i wont hex you or put a curse on you lol?? please be mindful of sharing this info online or with anyone

I don’t know what young person with their own laptop/computer/whatever device for the first time needs to hear this but:
Get yourself a goddamn password notebook. Label the pages alphabetically. Add your important log-in information, passwords, etc. Put the notebook in your underwear drawer and sleep easy knowing that if your device is stolen, trashed, or bricked, you will not spend three hours manually recreating new passwords or accounts.
This has been a PSA.

just typed out a war and peace style post about wanting there to be an equivalent of body neutrality in feminist spaces re: periods/childbirth/etc and though there are so many caveats to what I have to say, I think that there can and should be a middle ground between "your divine feminine body was built for these processes and you will embrace the pain with grace/this is easy for everybody" and borderline misogynistic fearmongering surrounding standard bodily phenomena

I never really put too much weight on the twins birth order, I don't think it really means anything to them or their dynamic.

Guys we really need to solve this, right here, right now
(Orb degrees)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How large you go for orbs when you look at your aspects?? For example having a trine at 6° or 7° orb? Is kinda far for a trine?
I know everyone goes for orbs differently and I know it can go to some extent
For me honestly it goes this way
Everything that aspects my Sun or Moon I go for extent orbs til 9° or 10° orbs
Everything that aspects my Ascendant honestly I go for larger orbs aswell at least 7° or 8° orbs since ascendant has also a very big importance in a chart
For conjunctions i go for at least 8° or 9° larger degrees orb
For sextile/trine i aslo go for at least 5°/6° or 7° degrees orb
For square/opposition I got usually for a 7° degree orb usually because squares have a big influence on you even at large orb degrees
IMPORTANT:
I also want to mention when you look at orbs degrees on astro com, press on this: (Additional tables) because it shows the accurate calculating orb degrees

it's weird how some families have so much physical history and documentation going back generations and memoirs written by their great-great-grandfather etc and like in my family. i dont even know my grandfather's name. nobody does lol we dont know his identity. like how can some families be so well documented and then in other cultures its basically impossible to find that history especially if it was destroyed by colonization or war

ok as someone who doesn't know much about zodiac, can i ask whats the difference between sun, moon, and rising?
Tumblr media
𝐒𝐔𝐍
This is what people refer to when they ask "what's your zodiac/astrology/star sign". It's a common misconception that this is the main representative of your whole personality. But this isn't entirely true. Each person actually has their own birth chart, here's a free site that I use and trust (don't go on co-astrology it's full of stereotypes and misinformation.) Your Sun sign is how you shine and what you shine for.
𝐊𝐄𝐘𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒: Identity, Ego, Life Force, Core, Self, Self-Image
𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍
Equal to your Sun sign in defining your personality. Your Moon sign is your inner emotions, your instincts, and intuition. The Moon shows our innerworld, how we process, react and behave. It's also our habits, and personal traditions. The Moon is rooted within our instincts and unconscious. It should also be noted that the Zodiac in a person's Moon sign is much more traditional in its meaning. For example, An Aries moon is much more rebellious than an Aries Sun.
𝐊𝐄𝐘𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒: Soul, Emotions, Feelings, Inner World, Spirit, Essence
𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐓/𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆
In simple terms, your rising sign is how you project yourself to the world/to others. There is also big importance to your rising sign as it indicates where your birth chart begins. This Rising Sign is the same as your First House, which shows how others perceive you and how you interact with the world.
𝐊𝐄𝐘𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒: Mask, Social Personality, Physical Body, Outward Style
Your Sun sign shows your core values, while your Moon sign shows your innate needs.
Your sun/moon/rising can also be referred to as your 'Big 3'
Many just focus on their Big 3 (hence the term), while others like to dig deeper into their chart and find out the core of who they are
Here's a chart from a website that shows the planets (it doesn't have your rising/ascendant however) Also this isn't my chart, I think I got it from Tarot.com?
Tumblr media
If you want me to go more in-depth, I'd be totally up for it. I can also introduce the Houses and Planets as well. And what they are in your birth chart! ✨⭐✨
