The small coastal town of Havenbrook had always enjoyed tranquil weather, with gentlebreezes and clear skies. But on the day of her birth, everything changed. Thunder rumbled ominously, shaking the very foundations of the town, and lightning cracked through the sky with a ferocity never before witnessed.

Within the confines of a modest cottage nestled near the cliffs, a young woman named Elara was about to give birth. Her labor pains mirrored the turbulent storm outside, intensifying with every passing moment. Elara was a woman of mystery, her origins unknown to the townspeople. Whispers of her supernatural powers and connections to ancient realms circulated among the curious and superstitious.

As the storm grew in intensity, so did Elara's determination. She knew deep within her heart that her child's birth was not an ordinary event. The elements themselves seemed to be stirred by a force greater than nature, as if a prophecy long forgotten was being fulfilled.

With a final, powerful cry, Elara brought forth a daughter into the world. Unbeknownst to the townsfolk, the birth of this child marked the culmination of a centuries-old curse. Two hundred years ago, Elara's ancestors had suffered unimaginable horrors at the hands of a ruthless tyrant. Their lives were taken, their lands decimated, and their legacy obliterated. Before her family's bloodline was extinguished, however, Elara's ancestor swore a solemn oath-a vow of vengeance that would transcend time and manifest in the form of a Stormborn child.

As the storm began to wane, its intensity gradually subsiding, Elara cradled her daughter in her arms. She named her Alina, a name derived from ancient lore that meant "bearer of light." Update!!! Lost power in the middle of the night and been offline the whole time, and I’m not sure how long the internet will last since it’s been coming in and out and I been trying to make this post all day, but I wanted to make a quick post while I can to let everyone know that the storm is over and I'm okay! So far the only damages were a lot of broken tree branches, no power and part of the metal roof came off my house. I think Dorian knows Orym is in love with him. I don't think it is a great unknown. He's not biting his nails wondering if Orym feels the same way as him.

I think the problem is that Dorian doesn't know how to approach it at all. For so many reasons. There are so many reasons why Dorian has been keeping all of this close to his chest.

First and foremost I think he wants to be respectful of Will and the place he holds in Orym's heart. Dorian in no way would blame Orym for never moving on. He'd be sad and disappointed but he'd understand. And he understands that he's still mourning Will. So he doesn't want to initiate something Orym isn't ready for.

Second, they're in the middle of a war. There isn't time for this. There isn't time for dead brothers and profound crushes. How could he distract Orym from the world ending? He's their little tank. He's their tactician. He's can get his hard and throw it back just as easily. They need his head clear. And I don't think Dorian would ever forgive himself if something were to happen because Orym was too preoccupied.

Third, is speculative, with the context Robbie has given us, marrying a man would not go over well in the royal family. Not because they're particularly homophobic. But, assuming they're both cis, (headcanons aside, I don't think critical role is there yet), the blood line would end. And royal families are big on lines of succession. Hence Zeru begging Dorian to come back. So I'm not sure adopting is in the realm of possibilities. How could Dorian let Orym love him? How could he give into his feelings? How could they live happily ever after when Dorian needs to go back home? Sit on a throne? Produce an heir and a spare? He couldn't possibly start something with him only for it to end in tragedy. He couldn't do that to Oym.

There are probably more reasons for all this but these are the ones that swim in my head the most. And idk I think Dorian wants to love Orym loudly and proudly but... The world is ending, ya know?

welp. I read 'when he was wicked' aka the franchael book in the bridgerton series... and I have Thoughts. mostly julia quinn writes men truly horribly. literally the saving grace of anthony bridgerton is the actor who plays him. in all the books I've read of quinn's, the guy protagonist shakes the woman he loves by her shoulders or disrespects her massively and is literally described as 'predatory' in the run up to the sex scene!!!! like. I really liked michael up until a point. I never really liked anthony in 'the viscount who loved me' and colin was only marginally more tolerable in 'romancing mr bridgerton'. but michael seemed genuinely charming and a good guy who had a solid reason why he didn't tell frannie about his feelings for her. so it's a real shame that he turns into a bit of a monster when he seduces frannie and basically tries to entrap her into marriage - idk what it is about julia quinn that she just seems allergic to writing decent male characters???

it does make me glad that they genderbent michael for frannie's season in the show. and I can see how they could work the whole infertility plot in too with michaela and frannie - say if frannie gets pregnant and doesn't know it immediately, finds out soon after john dies, and it turns out michaela is also pregnant but by accident (she's still a rake which I think would be interesting as a concept to explore in a female character). frannie miscarries as per the book and michaela has a lot of fears about being a mother - and at the same time there's all this talk about who the earldom will go to next now john is gone. so they somehow pass michaela's child off as frannie's, the earldom doesn't go to the awful debenham side of the family and this whole ordeal brings frannie and michaela closer and they learn to take care of each other while both still mourning, and they both feel like it would be a betrayal of john and likely frannie is in denial about her queerness... all I'm saying, bridgerton writers room, I'm available...

thinking about my old post where I said tigerstar was kind of a family man before he was exiled and how he knew exactly how the agony of losing a child young felt with Lynxkit and Swiftpaw, how he mourned for them and raged at their deaths in grief... and yet he still slaughters gorsepaw in front of his mother, and attempts to have stormpaw and featherpaw publically excused, purely out of spite.

The Blackbeak Matron is a brutal woman with not an ounce of love to any of her offspring. I don’t imagine her being kind to Lothian— like, she was her Heir, her training is harder and more brutal than what other witches would undergo.

Despite that harshness and brutality, Lothian was nothing like her. She she just couldn’t quell that side of her daughter: she was kind, warm and full of hope. The Matron couldn’t change that.

I think that what Lothian did, mating with a Crochan prince of all people and believing that the child they conceived would bring peace to their people is what tipped the Matron over the edge.

Killing her daughter soon after giving birth, she decided that she’d been too soft. Something she will not do with her granddaughter, her new Heir.

This is why I believe that Manon endured worse shit from the Matron than anyone did before. Her grandmother simply didn’t want to risk her being soft, like her mother, and made sure that Manon would not even recognize that.

This is the reason why Manon has a hard time with emotions because she wasn’t taught these things. All she knows is brutality and the different ways she can kill people. She endured a lot at the hands of her grandmother but because of that upbringing, she just carried on without giving anything a second thought.

But deep down, Manon is Lothian’s daughter. No matter how brutal the Matron got, no matter how harsh she was, she couldn’t change that. I think she realized that all she did didn’t fully kill whatever kindness might have been passed down to Manon when she picked Abraxos to be her wyvern. I believe it was that moment the Matron realized that despite everything she did, there was no changing that.

It didn’t stop her. Because she got worse. From that moment, she decided to use those feelings against Manon. Punish her for her compassion by threatening to take away everything she loves. It’s mainly the reason she kept targeting Asterin, and forcing Manon to be the one who does these things because at the end of the day, Manon still seeks her approval. She will do anything if it gets her noticed by her grandmother and this is why the Matron kept using Asterin against her. It was something Manon would want to avoid, but it will always be there: one mistake and it’s her cousin’s life. This way, the Matron had full control over Manon and ensured that she’d never rebel against her.

This is a woman who never displayed an ounce of love or affection to her granddaughter. Honestly she probably started Manon’s training early on, not taking the chance to turn her ‘soft’. I believe she prohibited anyone from coddling the Heir. She wouldn’t allow anyone to show her any affection or any display of love. Those who did, lost their lives.

Honestly, when Yrene hugged Manon during that scene? I knew she was going to freeze and not do anything. Because she doesn’t recognize the gesture, she has no idea what it means or how to respond so she just froze.

Summary: You give birth to your and Johnny's first child.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" you scream as another contraction rips through your.

Your birthday was three days ago. Now, you're in labor with the son Johnny and you conceived on Valentine's day.

Johnny is setting up the birthing pool in your living room. Johnny is telling you to hang tight, the midwife is coming.

"GAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" you scream as another contraction washes over you.

Your contractions started yesterday afternoon. You were taking a nap, because you were tired. Johnny was doing the laundry. You had finished a grilled cheese sandwich, because that's the last thing you remember eating. Two hours later, you felt nauseous. You immediately high tailed it to the bathroom when you realized that you were going to throw up. You lifted the toilet seat, knelt in front of the toilet, and spilled your guts into it. Little did you know that it was your body signaling that your labor was just about to begin.

Johnny knelt down next to you, rubbing soothing circles on your back. He was on the phone with the midwife, explaining what was happening. The midwife told him to keep an eye on it, it might be that you were about to go into labor. The midwife was right. You were getting ready to go into labor with Jake.

Johnny is helping you get in the birthing pool. He's trying to remain calm. You chose a home birth. You have several fire extinguishers nearby as a precaution. Johnny is known for getting overexcited, and when he does, he becomes the Human Torch. Right now, you need him.

Your water hasn't broken yet. As you've already stripped down to your bra and panties, you feel something wet between your legs. Its not your water breaking. It was Jake sitting on your bladder. Your bladder just let go.

Johnny quickly grabs a towel, and cleans up. He helps you into the birthing pool, and he's behind you. You feel another contraction, this time it's much stronger.

"Breathe, cupcake. That's it. Breathe through this," says Johnny.

Johnny is letting the hose fill the birthing pool to what the midwife said. He was using the liner as a guide, and then waited to fill it with warm water.

The midwife arrives, and asks Johnny and you how far apart your contractions are. Right now, they're at seven minutes apart.

You feel something cold and wet between your legs, and this time, it's gushing.

"JOHNNY!" you scream.

"OH SHIT!" you scream.

"That's your water breaking," says the midwife.

If your water wasn't going to break on it's own, the midwife was going to reach into your vagina and break the water herself. You heard a popping sound when your water broke.

The midwife removes your panties. They're completely soaked through. The warm water is finishing filling the birthing pool. Johnny helps you get in the birthing pool.

The midwife is checking to see how far you're dilating. You're contractions are getting closer together, and with each one, they're becoming more and more painful.

The midwife eventually checks to see how far your dilating, and your at ten centimeters. It won't be long now. Your contractions are at two minutes apart. You're so ready to push.

Johnny helps you sit in the birthing pool. He's behind you. You grab your legs and spread them as far as they can possibly go. You start to breathe through another contraction.

You're completely naked, and giving birth to your son.

"On this next contraction, give me a nice, big push!" says the midwife.

The next contraction hits you. You instinctively start to push.

"That's it, cupcake, keep pushing," says Johnny.

"AAAAAAAHHHH!" you scream as your pushing.

The midwife's assistant is holding the flashlight to your vagina. You're resting when the next contraction hits.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" you scream, as you push again.

"Keep pushing," says Johnny.

Johnny kisses your forehead. Right now, you needed his love, his support, but mostly, you needed him now more than ever right now. You were giving birth to your first child with him right now.

You keep repeating this, and eventually Jake comes. Johnny replaces your arms with his, so he can hold your legs. You reach down, and open up your vagina. Jake needed more room to come out. You push again, and eventually Jake's head pops out.

With the midwife grabbing onto Jake's head, you continue to push. Eventually, she pulls Jake out once you give a really big push.

"Is he...is he....is...he....out?" you ask, trying to catch your breath.

"YES! He's out!" says Johnny.

The midwife places Jake on your chest. He's already breathing when the midwife brought him up to the surface. She rubbed his tiny foot, and he took a single breath.

The midwife's assistant has cleaned him up, and Johnny cuts the cord.

"IT'S A BOY! GO TEAM BOY!" screams Johnny.

You baby boy, Jacob Allen Storm, was born on November 7, 2009 at 8:20 a.m.

Johnny put Jake in a tiny diaper, and got him into a nice, warm sleeper. You were holding Jake, and he looked so tiny. The midwife wrapped Jake in a nice, hand crocheted blanket that you made for Jake.

You had the breast pump ready to go. You were trying to breast feed Jake, but he just wasn't taking your breast. The midwife suggested pumping your milk, and then putting it into a bottle. You were doing that, and when you gave Jake his bottle, he took it.

"There you go, champ," says Johnny, as he's bottle feeding his son. The midwife and her assistant are helping you with the after birth. You deliver the placenta effortlessly.

The midwife and her assistant are helping you get cleaned up. They help you shower, because you need one, and Johnny is holding your newborn son, who's since fallen asleep right in his daddy's arms.

You're freshly showered, and come back down, dressed in sweats, and you have on that special post-partum underwear.

Johnny hands you Jake, and you hold him.

"Hi, Jake. I love you," you say.

"I love you so much, Johnny. We made this tiny little human together. He's so tiny and perfect," you say.

"We did! I love you so much, cupcake. We have a baby as a result of our love. I love you even more. You look so beautiful right now," says Johnny.

You tear up at this because Johnny means every words of this.

"Cupcake, don't cry right now. You're such an amazing and strong woman. You gave birth to our beautiful baby boy," says Johnny.

You're holding Jake with his tiny diaper, and you have no top on. You're giving Jake skin to skin contact. Eventually, you give Jake to a shirtless Johnny so he can give skin to skin with Jake.

You kiss Jake on his tiny forehead. You kiss your fiancee Johnny lovingly.

After you and Johnny and done giving skin to skin, Jake yawns. He's falling asleep, and you put him in his crib. He lets out a really loud cry, and you realize that he wrinkled his tiny nose, and wrinkles his tiny eyebrows. He does it again. You go to the changing table, get out a diaper and the wipes, and get Jake from his crib. You change his diaper, and Johnny is just watching this wholesome site. Jake is grabbing onto your hands when they are close enough. After your done, you hand Jake over to Johnny.

Johnny starts to rock him back to sleep while Johnny tells you to go to bed and get some rest. You've never felt so amazing, but also so tired at the same time. You just had a human come out of you. Later, Johnny changes Jake's diaper.

Next spring, you and Johnny get married at Disney. It made sense, since he proposed to you there. Jake is a part of the ceremony, and looks cute in baby sized tux.
